How is this us supporting democracy:
Since Janna was born there has not been a single general or presidential election in the Palestinian territories. The last one took place in 2006, which means anyone under 34 years old has never had the opportunity to vote.

The younger generation is spoilt. Is it?!
Evolution has always been nature's best way to improve lives over millions of years. And it has not stopped with chimpanzees turning to humans. Humans that lived 1000 years back are not the same humans now. We adapt, change, and improve to suit our environment.
Humans, in general, like to record and share a lot of things. From the customs that worked for them, to the meme you laughed at yesterday. We have found books to record biographies and learnings. The problem with the recorded material is, it gets old. And humans are evolving day by day. The mind-boggling thoughts of a human dated 1000 years back might not be even a relatable situation for today's humans.
Tumblr media
I'm not suggesting you widely disregard the thoughts of previous generations and build from scratch. No. Those are very important. Use the customs, practices, or books to guide you, and help you in your decision making and I encourage you to take a learned decision from it. That's how it gets better. Those were the words of wise but my dear friend, you are wiser.
When you are a fully grown adult, try discussing things with your family and arrive at a healthy debate instead of blindly following them. Taking a bad decision is worse when you know it is bad. And you did it anyway because someone elder suggested it. If you are doing this regularly, you are hurting your own evolution process. Following things blindly doesn't need you. If you are there, create an impact so that nearby humans evolve with you.

Sun Life and Donny Pangilinan team up to promote health and financial wellness
There’s no question about it: it’s Donny Pangilinan’s time to shine. The young star has projects left and right, numerous billboards that sport his charming smile, and a fandom that is incredibly supportive of his engagements. Donny is making the most of the opportunities coming his way. However, the glitz and glamor of showbiz can easily distract from the reality that it all comes with hard…

The Political Attitudes of Indian Youth!
India is a democracy, as we are all aware. India has the most youth in the world today. A youth group is a class made up of students between the ages of 14 and 40. The largest population in this age group is now found in India. This group of people is the strongest both physically and psychologically, those who exert every effort to advance their families as well as the nation. The youth is India’s strength.
Tumblr media
The youth are crucial in shaping the nation. Any nation’s youth can help it become beautiful in the future. The youth of today are receiving enough job prospects, but tragically, despite their extensive education, they are daily neglecting their obligations to the nation and their families.
The majority of the literature demonstrates trends of youth being lured into politics along caste, ethnic, and/or religious lines. As a result of politics, caste, ethnicity, and religion have not only become more significant as indicators of identity among young people but they have also been reconfigured. Young people negotiate and revaluate the implications of their caste, religious, and ethnic identities during the process of political mobilization.
Early political exposure boosts political interest
Studies demonstrate that respondents’ political interest rises when they are informed about and exposed to politics. In comparison to young people who reported not having taken part in any democratic processes at the school or college level, the trend indicates that young people who have participated in democratic processes, such as elections in school or college, are more knowledgeable about India’s political processes and are probably more interested in politics.
A similar pattern was observed when young people reported knowing someone who had been involved in politics.
In comparison to 39% of respondents who did not engage in school or college elections but claimed political interest, 50% of respondents who took part in political campaigns or elections in those settings expressed a positive interest in politics.
Our country needs them to tackle the majority of our problems. Youth in India have the ability to overcome the many problems the country is currently facing. All they require is a chance to prove themselves. Youth have the ability to bring people from different ethnic groups together.
We should remember that we are all one and not let our minor differences keep us apart. Additionally, there is a lot of criminality going on. Husbands that are violent against their wives are killing them. Businesses and homes are being broken into. There must be an end to all of this crime and violence. Again, youth has the power to influence change in the nation.

I want to dive deeper into the toxicity of rock genre. There is nothing wrong with liking 1 genre or even having an opinion. However, there is a line b/w having music preferences and constantly hating an artist(s) or genre just because it's not what u listen to. There's been fans or even bands themselves who will hate on someone for wearing band merch. I can understand why their defensive especially if the person wearing it doesn't know the band and wearing it cuz it looks cool but is it a bad thing. The artist, Yungblud, who I think is actually underrated gets hated cause he paints his nails, is open about his sexuality and wears skirts. I guess it has to do with the misogyny, homophobia and toxic masculinity within this genre. In the 80s, most of the men would wear makeup, fishnets and also paint their nails but we're seen as hot. The big names in rock also like to play the blame game. I think it was Gene Simmons who said rock was dead cuz of fans. He is right that people can found ways to listen to music w/out paying. But does he expect his fans who most likely need to pay bills to pay for $200+ tickets/merch or another remastered greatest hits album. Is it the fans fault for artists getting paid less or the labels/streaming services that cheat the artist. Its also like he and many already popular rock bands aren't really suffering financially from streaming cuz they already rich. If anything it's smaller artist that have to find new ways of promoting and building a strong fanbase. I think this is what bands can learn from younger bands cuz I don't think older bands were able to build a close bond with fans like the newer artist have. I saw a comment saying if anyone actually liked mgk music then there losers or something like that. So ur saying that a 15 yr old who is struggling with anxiety or a 30 year old who got sober with the help of mgks music is a loser. Corey Taylor is known as Slipknots frontman but to rock media he is the guy whose opinion is seen as "law" in rock. I've seen videos where he talked about how he hates or made "jokes" about pop/ hip hop music, mgk, to cd cases to comparing imagine dragons to the new Nickelback. I think it's weird and maybe he's not totally to blame but it's like u really want to be known as the guy who hates everything and complains that rock is not original but won't allow artist to be original because then their try hard or posers. He's not the only one that does this, there are many others who criticize new artists. In stranger things, they used "Master of puppets" by Metallica and ST fans used it in TikToks but Metallica fans were upset. I didn't see what the issue was because doesn't it help the band. I think that new alternative music is original cuz artists are blending genres or adding their own twist on the older rock. You have Post Malone, mgk, juice wrld, Yungblud who combined Linkin park, blink 182, and rap/hip hop together. You also have more female artists like Halsey, siickbrain, Nessa, Billie eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Halestorm. They call new rock not real music or that it's just cheesy lyrics but wasn't a majority of 80s bands like Poison, Kiss, Motley crue songs about girls, sex and parties. Those lyrics weren't exactly relatable but they were great because those fans wanted music to have fun to and the bands provided the larger then life, crazy, fast paced lifestyle their fans dreamed of. You can take every genre and see why people would gravitate towards it whether it's cuz of the vibe or energy it creates, relatable lyrics, or it just sounds good. That's why this new music is perfect cuz it isn't really about who can wear merch or who slept with the most girls or parties the hardest but instead it's about being who you want to be w/out being judged, having a good time even when your having a bad time in your mind. In a way, rock is still an escape for people who wanted to take a breather from their problems and worries and just enjoy music.

I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"
And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.
Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?
It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

One thing a lot of people don’t seem to think about when talking about iPad kids is that most of these kids are being raised by parents whose parents put them in front of the TV or video games for hours as their babysitter. Isn’t it no surprise that they are letting their kids do that? That is literally how parenting was modeled to them when they were kids just with different electronics. It’s a cycle.

KUMUSTA NA, MGA MILLENNIALS?
Last March 16, 2023, I was struck with a short item in The New York Times. It indicated  in the paper’s Opinion Essay written by Jessica Grose, the author’s opinion that millennials today are already hitting middle age. The sub-text is that it is happening much sooner than other generations of the past. Just to review: who are the millennials of the world today? They are those born between 1981…
