Okay, I'm going to say this once, and only once, so listen up.

Writers, do not owe readers fics, writers do not need to work themselves to death to appease you.

We have lives, and sometimes, we cannot work on fics, and being hateful to someone about it is bullshit and it needs to stop.

Writers owe you nothing, we write because we love to do it, and to make others happy, so if your fic isn't done in a TIMELY manner, don't be a dick about it, don't send hateful asks, and don't expect ANYONE to write your ideas if you're going to cry like a baby when it's not done RIGHT AWAY.

You can't be hateful and then expect to be rewarded for it, and if you want the fic so bad that you're willing to go and harass someone, write it yourself, you'll find it isn't as easy as you think it is.

"I'm heading back in," Eddie says, finishing off his cigarette and using Steve's shoulder to balance as he pulls his legs out of the pool and stands up. His hand is cool, even in the warmth of the sun, but Steve still feels it like a brand on his shoulder. Steve stays behind a few minutes to sit and finish his coffee and smoke another cigarette, ashing into Eddie's empty mug. He squints up at the sky; low clouds are rolling in overhead. Another spring storm is on the way and the sunshine's already getting softer, diffused. He stands, brushing the dirt off the back of his shorts, and collects the mugs to head back into the house. There's almost a moment, right when he turns, when he sees the open sliding door to the house out of the corner of his eye and it doesn't feel like a door; it feels like the mouth of a creature, lying in wait for him. The clouds begin to pass overhead, dimming the illusion, and Steve feels like an idiot for startling at it. Christ. He could use some time at a beach too, he thinks. He's still too fucking jumpy.

Hello, thanks for sharing your recs and reviews for BL and GL... You really helped me found my favorite series....I want to ask something (if you don't mind).

So my friend also love BL but she only love BL manga/manhwa/ danmei books/ mlm fanfics. She said that she just cannot enjoy BL in live action drama (either Thai, Korean or Japanese drama) but she did not mind if the BL in anime form. Also, she did not mind if the BL is subtext (bromance heavy) like Chinese drama (The Untamed, Word of Honor, Killer and Healer, etc)...

She asked me is she is weird and not a "true" BL fan, and I did not know how to answer her. Just so you know, the BL that she read sometimes have smut in them and she did not mind....

And regarding your question,

There is no specific way of being a "true" BL fan. It depends mostly on yourself. If you consider yourself a BL fan, you're a BL fan.

In my opinion, if you like BL, no matter how, you're a BL fan. You might like everything, or just a specific type of BL, or you might like it sometimes and other times you can't stand it, all of that are valid ways of enjoying BL. I myself have evolved in what I like about it. What I preferred to watch when I started and what I watch now has changed.

But no one can tell you you're not a fan because you haven't met an arbitrary standard they decided upon. After all, the point of being a fan is enjoying what youre watching/reading.

Tell your friend not to worry, her way of enjoying BL is totally valid. She doesn't have to force herself to like live action BL jut because most people watch it. Just have fun reding/watching the things that makes us happy is enough :)

WOW that was a good nap. Anyways, guess what! We're relaunching the comic on Tumblr! Why, you might ask? 1. The recent policy change. We're definitely a comic for adults, and Webtoons doesn't allow for nonsexual nudity or adult activities such as smoking and drinking, things we don't want to compromise on. 2. Clarity. Social and comic all in one place for right now, since we don't have the fandom or the funding or, uh, the CSS skills for a website outside of Tumblr. (Finn's brushing up on his HTML and CSS though, so who knows ;) 3. A secret third thing! We all love Tumblr, and of the social media sites to be posting on, it's the best for us. So, here we are. You know how Augus is sometimes very mean to Gwyn? He has very soft and tender and loving moments but he also has very mean moments. I was in a long relationship with someone, and we broke up when they moved away for various reasons, but it looks like I'll be moving to their city so we've planned to talk about our relationship and whether or not we want to try again after new years. I think the only thing that makes me unsure if I want to be with them again is the fact that theyre also very mean sometimes. I don't mind it sometimes, it is one of the things I like about them, but maybe secretly it also makes me overthink sometimes. But maybe someone who's nice all the time would also make me overthink. Do you have advice or insight on this? Thank you either way, your works have helped me in so many ways these past years

There's a disclaimer I use at the beginning of both Game Theory and The Court of Five Thrones and it goes like this:

Id Fics do not represent healthy real world relationships of any kind

Augus and Gwyn ARE NOT IN A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP. But this is fiction, so it doesn't matter. You are in reality, do not knowingly enter or maintain a relationship that you know is going to be unhealthy or where someone is treating you meanly.

At most, you should be talking to your ex and explaining which mean behaviours are unacceptable to you and why. But you might want to do some basic reading about boundaries, what they are, and what healthy communication in relationships look like. Because Augus and Gwyn aren't it.

But maybe someone who's nice all the time would also make me overthink.

Maybe it just means you take some time to get used to being treated with kindness and compassion. But these are big issues anon, and you might want to look into some professional support, or at the very least, do some very 101 research into healthy relationships and healthy communication and healthy boundaries. Do not learn them from Augus and Gwyn, I have said - repeatedly - that they are not a healthy relationship. I wouldn't advise anyone have a relationship like theirs.
