hear me out,,,,yan!neuvillette
neuvillette being forced to choose a wife because of expectations placed on him so he asks his subordinates to find appropriate and worthy candidates. they listen and send invites to proper ladies across all nations. but one day his guards make you kneel in front of him because they suspect you were a spy.
now, he has always been above feeling satisfied when someone kneels down or gives him praise but something about that sight?? your dirty clothes, disheveled state and that fiery glare you send his way despite of your situation? neuvillette finds himself thinking how nice it would feel to see that more often but only after he 'educates' you to be his proper partner.
the thing about loving a man who makes his country's law is that you cannot escape him in the only spectacle they allow.
when the other ladies arrive he makes you sit behind a screen so that you can listen to him turn them down for you. but after every woman he asks you to imitate a part of her, if you want to be here and not in chains. he makes you write down specific characteristics to study later on.
he doesn't force himself on you and lets you sleep separately but he manages a strict schedule. he finally praises you for mastering the correct way to make him tea. imagine his surprise when after a few hours he learns you got a bit too close with the pasty chef in his kitchen. why do you have flour in your hair? why does your skin which he ordered to be pristine have marks on the neck and the hips?
he isn't above punishing you when you break rules he made because his word should be your law. and he will make you realize that. it might include that pastry chef being tied to the wall of a jail cell in which neuvillette makes sure to assault you in front of him because you didn't admit to it.
really he was above all of these things before you showed up in his life. when you admit to your little infidelity as a crime, you never see that pasty chef again. and neuvillette will make sure you never leave his side. he was above it all, but not anymore. you will be his wife and you will love him as he wants or you will spend the rest of your life amongst the biggest criminals he judges.

I think what's really compelling about House's absolute unwillingness to bow down to anything or anyone (the ethical board, the law, extra rich CEO, vindictive police officer, and even the patients themselves) regardless of how absolutely batshit and downright illegal his actions are, is because it's coming from a chronically disabled person, in more ways than one.
He cannot walk without agony or his cane. His chronic and severe pain led him down the path of deep Vicodin addiction until he also becomes psychologically dependent on it too (once, Dr Cuddy gives him saline placebo and it "works", in that he is not feeling his leg pain anymore for a few hours).
He understands it deeply just how desperate people can be when they're in pain and nobody can (or are willing to) help them—at least, so far, until they land on his doorstep. Which is canonically the most extreme step patients take when everything else fails—you don't just go straight to Plainsborough Teaching Hospital and to Dr Gregory House MD's office; you have to go through dozens of other doctors in various specialties and failed treatments too.
(Although that's a separate discussion about how doctors, particularly resident ones, are overworked and underpaid and redtaped by shithead insurance companies even if they do know how to treat a patient and want to).
He knows, from the bottom of his heart, that having such a painful and life-limitting debilitating condition is comparable to hell on earth, because he has one. He knows, that despite his disability being visible to everyone, yet no one wants to put an effort to help him deal with it—is also hell on earth.
Cuddy simply throws money at him and turns the other way to his Vicodin abuse, like she is saying, "I don't care if he takes 10 Vicodin pills a day or more, and I have to pay at least $1M every year for lawsuits, as long as he gets the job done," (and when they decide to go into relationship, she immediately drops him when he relapses, even if the reason for his relapse is her—although, yes, there is another discussion to be had about keeping yourself and your child(ren) safe being a priority compared to helping an addict, recovering or not). Wilson, as loyal as he is to House, simply either enables him or lectures him without going into the root of the issue and thoroughly help House that way. His subordinates, especially after the original trio, are simply too scared, too ignorant, or too ambitious to even approach the issue and choose to keep their job than help House (also another discussion to be had about how you can't help people who don't want to help themselves and so on).
So when he sees a patient who has gone through hell trying to get a correct diagnosis and treatment, he becomes laser-focused on doing everything under the sun to get to the bottom of it and cure the patient. He doesn't care if he has to break into countless of houses (haha pun) and collect insane and probably biohazard samples to do it—he absolutely will, no question.
Yes, hate-criming and being a bigot is his favorite hobby (still livid at the asexual ep and the production's choice for the resolution, let's just say I still have beef with Hugh Laurie and the entire production team for it), and so is insulting patients in so many ways that Shakespeare would personally fly to New Jersey and shake his hands if someone manage to successfully perform necromancy on ol' Billy boy. But House is no one if not dedicated. "Yes, my patient is an idiot, everyone is an idiot too, but I WILL cure their condition like my life depends on it," is basically his middle name.
Besides, you can make the argument that he is more compassionate than all the other doctors around him, because despite his absolute disdain towards some of his patients' beliefs and stupidity, he still works his ass off to treat them. He will call your god an idiot in 7 different languages while putting you in a diagnostic machine he manipulated the whole hospital into letting him use so that you could get a test which weren't available to you before. He will tell you that your currently-happy marriage will end in a bloody divorce and your ex will leave you penniless so love is not real while injecting you with a medication he had to hack the CDC's database for.
There are even episodes that show him being truly earnest, like the clinic duty scene where he is snarky as usual to a girl who seemingly stupidly had unprotected sex until she lashes out, and House is like, "Oh shit, this is above my paygrade", and immediately goes to Cuddy with a very serious expression and no sarcastic dilly-daliying, demanding her to transfer the patient to someone else because he is not good with "curing" rape case (interesting choice on the writers' part to make the patient insist to have therapy with House, though).
There is an episode about a very workaholic woman executive in a fashion company who has tremor and partial paralysis, and later on it's shown that she seems to tie her worth as a person to her corporate success while band-aiding her deep psychological issue like her suicidal ideation, and House genuinely asks her, "Do you want to live? I cannot help you unless you want me to," or something along the line.
There is also the cursed 9-year-old terminal brain cancer episode where Chase kissed the patient (ew), where at first it shows House being a usual misanthophe to Wilson and saying, "She is not brave, it's the brain tumor clot talking because it must be near the amygdala." Later in the episode, House sits near the patient alone, and compassionately asks her if she even wants to live, going through the rest of her short-lived but horrible agony, even if they catch the clot. The surgery to find and get rid of the clot is risky and can debilitate her even more, and this is why House is laying the decision to her hands. That she gets to choose. This is what truly reveals to him that she is genuinely brave (aside from the scan showing the clot to be so far away from her amygdala), but for the wrong reason. She is brave for her mom, willing to go through horrible surgery and drag out her already painful cancer-ridden life because, "My mom needs me". When everyone is congratulating her in the end, you can tell House has a bittersweet expression of both awe towards her bravery, and sadness that this 9-year-old sick girl has to bear the brunt of her horrible pain just so that her mother is not sad. That he couldn't convince her to be a child until the nearing end of her life.
The most interesting evidence of his compassion to me is the gunman hostage episode. It might sound weird because in the whole episode, he is depicted to first want to outsmart the gunman patient, then becomes laser-focused but only because he sees it as a puzzle, then absolutely selfish and dangerous because he volunteers himself as the last hostage and gives the gun back to the guy after the MRI. I do think it's true that his dedication to solving patients-are-just-puzzle-to-me conditions shines through in the episode, especially the scene of him returning his gun, but there is something else I catch when I rewatched it before.
When the gunman patient is put in the MRI because Cameron tells him a theory through the hostage call, the remaining doctors in the room including House are wary at the gunman but also hopeful. Yet, when the result shows up on the screen, he realizes that the theory is wrong and the guy let go his only bargaining chip for nothing. If you watch this part carefully, you'll notice that House actually looks pitying and sad at the gunman's disappointed demeanor and expression. He realizes he is going to be another notch in the guy's failed doctors list, and at this point (with the gun given away and even the best, most talented doctor also not finding out what's wrong with him), the guy has given up hope that he will ever see the day he will be cured, certainly not behind the bars.
Yes, his thirst for puzzle is House's big driving force in giving back the gun, but you'll be lying to yourself if you don't notice House's compassion for the guy because he doesn't want the guy to go out empty-handed, with absolutely no more hope because House knows once they step out of the door, this guy will never, ever be allowed to be in the vicinity of any hospital or doctor ever again in his life, aside from jail's bare-minimum exams and medications. House can't handle the thought of putting someone else through his own disappointment—that nothing works to help his leg pain. He especially doesn't want to be the cause for this gunman guy's case either. Even in the end when House realizes the guy is a fucking moron because he doesn't know that Florida is, in fact, in earthwide-horizontal tropical zone and this is what stumps most of the guy's previous doctors—House still gives him a subtle salute to the guy while being handcuffed and led away, almost to say, "Enjoy your healing and the defeat of your arch nemesis The Sickness™, glad to be part of it."
Majority of his drive to stop at nothing until his patient is cured is definitely thanks to his own fucked-up leg, even if there are some dialogues with Cuddy and Stacy Warner (House's ex wife) that seem to imply he has always been a misanthrophe whose hobby is getting into malpractice (or general) lawsuits. I wholeheartedly believe that after his leg clot rendered him disabled and with chronic pain, he became much more dedicated and obsessed with getting to the bottom of a patient's medical information, even for info that seems innocuous or irrelevant that always turn out to be important (probably more like a plot armor than established characterization, to be honest), almost like this is his method of relating to the patients in his own weirdly human way, and maybe a little bit (actually, a lot) of projecting.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

I watched two episodes of the newest too hot to handle season and couldn’t stop thinking about a maxiel au. I imagine max stumbles through the casting for ‘love overboard’ and somehow ends up on the boat with no real interest in anyone on it. he tells the producer as much when they ask him which of the girls he would like to smash. Max: “I would of course not smash any of them” quickly followed by one of the british girls, Emily adding, “Max is hot, yeah? But the doesn’t have the bants to keep up with me.”
Daniel is the last person introduced before the boat shoves off, looking hot in his pastel shorts and a wide, fucking smile. Daniel is born for reality television too, jokes falling from his lips as he charms the rests of the cast. by the time they’re pulling into shore, he’s had three offers to share a cabin and helped Bennie, the law student from Bristol, put sunscreen on her bum. his tongue is halfway down Blaire the New Yorker’s throat, when someone from production has to come drag them back for the announcement that hey are in fact on too hot to handle.
cut to the next day: Daniel is getting a bit in his head about the entire. like, he has three weeks before he has to be back in LA, back to grinding for Instagram followers and shitty sponsorship deals, he’s not going to spend it fucking celibate. hes been floating the idea making a pact with one of the guys to make sure no one is really the first one to break the rules, but no one has taken the bait. Max though, Max keeps following him around. but it makes sense, yeah? they’re, like, the two best looking guys, so of course they should agree so they can divide and conquer without butting heads.
Max full of life as he laughs at all of his jokes, cracks his own dumb quips and watches him with this look – so open and exposed and more raw than anything else Daniel has seen on this fucking show – when Daniel laughs back at him. it’s such a stark contrast to how Max acts in around the girls, but Max is here for reason, Daniel reckons. maybe the silent type really works for him.
he isn’t – he doesn’t even think twice as he asks, “Are you trying to be good, Maxy? like, would you pick the sex over the money?” and Max. Max has been a little bit in love since Daniel stepped onto the boat, sun slick skin that Max feels sick with the need to taste. to lick, to bite into soft flesh and feel the muscle underneath his skin. always max would choose sex, any moment with Daniel is of course good. “I need a rule breaker, maxy. I need a partner in crime for this.”
Max just looks at him for a moment and then before Daniel has time to react, he leans in to kiss him. it's a good kiss, a great fucking kiss. one of the best Daniel has had sober and not fucked out of his mind when every touch feels good. Max clearly knows what he’s does, like – the hand on Daniel’s cheek holding him in place as he licks deep into his mouth. Daniel’s brain is barely catching up when Max pulls back. “There, now of course the girls will not the first to break the rules.”
and Dan’s like, “Yeah, for sure,” walking out in a daze to the pool where Geroge intercepts him and agrees to the pact as well. George who has seen all the previous seasons and knows you have to break the rules first before you can have a redemption story. so he makes out with Bennie by the pool while George and Emily kiss a few feet away. But somehow the kiss is kinda shitty? her lips are too small, and, like, the entire kiss is just a bit too dry? Bennie’s obviously having a good time, but Daniel just cannot get into it.
Daniel goes to sleep in Bennie’s bed, and they kiss – a shitty attempt to evoke some sort of spark inside him – and it’s still kinda ‘meh’. It’s definitely not worth the 3000$ it costs them the morning after. they’re charged 9000$, and that seems fair. Daniel had two kisses, and George kissed – until another couple confesses that they kissed on the beach. And Daniel’s not, he doesn’t really know how all of this works, but this means he gets one for free, right?
he kisses Blaire against the wall next to the fire pit because at least this has to be good, but that turns out shitty too. he doesn’t want to share a bed with Bennie, but he doesn’t want to get in with Blaire either, is just about to abandon ship and sleep on the couch for the night, when Max pulls back the duvet, “You can of course stay with me, Daniel.” so Daniel does.
the price for a kiss has been raised to 6000$ for disrespecting Lana, and Daniel has now cost the group 9000$ – should be 12000$ with all three kisses included – when his kiss with Blaire is revealed. Bennie angry as she taps her foot from where she’s perched next to him, obviously waiting for some kind of explanation that Daniel cannot give, too perplexed by the fact hat it should be hell a lot more than that actually.
cut to the tapes from the night before that some poor production assistant had to go through. Daniel waking up in the middle of the night to Max staring back at him. they don’t kiss, breathing the same air for another moment before Max turns around and presses his back against Daniel’s chest. Max’s ass against his dick until Daniel has no choice but to fuck into the hot, tight space between Max’s thighs, strong and warm and just a little bit sweaty from the hot summer heat. Max doesn’t touch him, squeezes his thighs around him until it’s almost as good as the real thing, until right at the end where he cups a hand around the head of his dick so the come doesn’t spill. Licks it off so there is of course no evidence.
(somewhere in the backroom the Netflix producers are having a meltdown. Daniel was supposed to be their golden goose with the funny accent and good looks, a charming lad who couldn’t stop himself from flirting with all the girls but ultimately settled down when faced with love)
to right the wrongs, Lana invites Daniel to go out on a date with Bennie so he can make up his mind. and it’s fine. Daniel’s a good date, and Bennie seems to make the most of life in Bristol, but he’s just not feeling it anymore, hasn’t been feeling much of it since Max kissed him. so Lana offers to switch her out for Blaire, and Daniel’s like, “sure, whatever.”, his mood only salvaged when Max turns up instead of Blaire (much to the surprise of the producers).
Max steals a kiss at the end of the date, and this time Daniel feels it. the curling of his toes, the lick of Max’s tongue into his mouth, the solid weight of Max’s hard dick as they’re pressed against each other. It makes him feel insane, hungry for anything Max will give him. and like, Max is all for blowing it all up, having sex in the showers, on the beach, in the middle of the night like they did before: wherever of course Daniel will have him.
but 200,000$ is a lot of money, and the distance between LA and London isn’t a joke. Flights are expensive, but Daniel already doesn’t know how he would go on without seeing Max after these three weeks? So he convinces to convince Max to be good, to win them the money so they can keep seeing each other, and it works. mostly.
now with a sequel.

Reflections (2) (Hunter/Golden Guard x reader)
Part 2 :0
Shorter and fluffy sequel to the other one,, much more banter driven
~a world in which one can see their soulmate in the mirror~
It was a strange life, you found yourself living. You, a criminal, involved with him, the face of the law. Naturally, the smart thing to do was commit even more crimes, just to get his attention when you needed it.
And so, the handcuffs were heavy on your wrists as the scouts walked you to the station. You could escape, yes, but what fun was that? This way you got to see your lovely soulmate and teach him the joys of breaking the law.
The scout, towering over you, pushed you into a cell, startling you away from your train of thought. You stumbled, barely catching your feet as you paced deeper into the cell.
“That was rather rude, sir,” you said, looking back at him as he locked the door. You leaned against the far wall away from him, and glanced down into a murky puddle that filled a dip in the cells floor. In its reflection you saw his face. You couldn’t help smiling as you did.
“Wild witch,” he replied simply, monotone. “You’ll be interrogated shortly for information about the owl lady.”
You snickered, “hey I ain’t no snitch, who do you take me for?” You started to approach again, wanting desperately to get in this guys face and intimidate him. He scoffed and turned away as you tried.
”I wouldn’t say that, it’ll be the Golden guard questioning you, the right hand man of the emperor,” he said. “I would choose your words carefully when speaking with him, I’m sure he’s far less kind then I am.” With that, the final word, he left before you could retort, leaving you alone in the dank and dark jailhouse. This one wasn’t empty though.
Looking around you as your eyes adjusted to the darkness, your gaze fell on a small creature in the cell across from yours. A little white demon with a large nose, and red hair. Not the oddest thing you’d seen, but a strange looking one none the less. You nodded you head towards her, “So what are you in for?”
She sighed, “The scouts don’t like I see through the veil of our society and know about the secret overlords in control of our blood.”
You nodded along, “Coooool.” With that remark, you decided to stop talking to the little conspiracy theorist.
It wasn’t long before he came to save you from the awkward silence, though. He entered with regality and prestige, brining light into the room that burnt your eyes at first glance. His golden mask obscured his face to all but you, who could see the shimmers of his real expression in the shine. You smirked as he came in and spotted you.
He pointed his staff in a manner that would have been managing to anyone else. “You,” he said, echoing though the room with power. A guard came to unlock your cell, and the small nose creature looked at you as if you were on death row. You shot her a smile as the scout escorted you to the golden guards side.
You trailed behind the golden flowing cape, and in front of the scouts tall shadow. You couldn’t keep yourself from smiling at the ground, watching your feet to avoid looking at your captors.
Near the jail room was a door, which the golden guard stopped in front of. With a golden key, he unlocked it. Without turning back to face you or his assistant, he spoke. “Your dismissed, scout,” he said, with coke indifference. You snickered as he led you inside, and locked the door behind you.
In the room was simply a table and chairs, on on one side, two on the other. You sat on the side with two.
The golden guard turned away from the door, and stared at you for a moment before taking off the mask and hood to reveal a tired expression. His mouth was in a slight sneer, and his brow was furrowed. “Come on, seriously?”
You leaned back in the chair, and swung your feet into the table. “What?” You asked, smirking.
The golden guard grumbled, and stormed over to you, taking the seat next to you. “You know what, you-“ he cut himself off, and took a breath, running his fingers through his hair. “What did you even do this time?”
You snickered, and once again shifted your legs so your feet were resting on his lap. “A scout was harassing a lady, I just stepped in,” you laughed. “Don’t worry, it wasn’t anything bad.”
“I was told you assaulted the scout,” Hunter said flatly.
“Well you know these guys, they’ll lie about anything,” you scoffed. “I totally did do that, but it was justified!” You crossed your arms, and looked away from him for emphasis.
Hunter rubbed the specs between his eyes as he held his head in his hand. “You are so lucky you have me to cover for you.”
You smiled and spun your head back to look at him, “I’m so lucky I have you, period, m’love!” You leaned forward and rested your elbows on your legs, shortening the distance between you to better see his blush.
Hunter tried to look away and cross his arms, but couldn’t do either. This resulted in his eye darting back and forth between you and the ground, and him fidgeting with his hands at his chest. “Y-you too,” he sputtered.
You laughed, “Chill out, man.” His hands were still stuttering on their own at his chest. You took them in your to steady him, “It’s just me.”
He sighed, and thumbed over your hand gently. “Yeah, just you.” He learned forward, hunching to rest his forehead on yours, and taking the back of your neck in one hand, and the other entwined with yours. “Is it bad I’m kind of glad you’re a criminal? I think if you were anything else I wouldn’t ever get to see you.”
”You could see me a lot more if you turned to a life of crime yourself,” you suggested, almost smugly. As you heard him hum lowly in disapproval, you laughed. “I get it. You’re way to busy. It’s insane that you’re my age and have an eighty hour work week.”
Hunter cracked a smile, “yeah, I have no idea how you sleep in past six a.m.” He pulled his head back to look at you, eyes tired.
“You are speaking a different language, buddy,” you shook you head. “Also that’s bad for your health, when do you even go to bed?”
He pursed his lips, “I don’t think that matters.”
”Dude,” you said, lacking words. “That’s so false.”
Hunter shook his head, sighing. He leaned back on his chair, and hesitantly put his hands on your legs, which were still rested on his. Taking a deep breath, he sighed again, shooting you an annoyed look, “You know?”
You snickered, “Oh I know.” Hunter opened his mouth, presumably to complain again, but you stopped him. “Are you gonna break me out of jail yet, or what?” you smiled.
“Yeah, yeah,” Hunter said, standing up. He pushed his chair in beneath the table. “Stay here a moment while I talk to the guards.”
You nodded, and kicked your feet into the table for a few minutes.
When Hunter returned, it was in the mark and cloak again. “I told them you had nothing useful to say, that you were just a low level crook, and an idiot.”
”Wow, I can tell how much you like me,” you said, rolling your eyes. You pushed off the chair and started to the door with him, “Come on, let’s go… and when we’re outside,” you point at his face a moment, “lose the mask, yeah?”
                                            …
You walked through the town, reveling in the street market stalls and night lights lining the sidewalks and hanging by the buildings across the path. The warm yellow light shines in Hunters face, bringing out his eyes, and his scars.
“It’s weird walking around without the mask,” Hunter muttered, clutching your hand.
“At least nobody knows you this way,” you said, glancing around, taking in the lack of attention the two of you were getting. “You probably aren’t just, a normal witch very often, are you?”
”Never, actually,” he said, looking around, drinking in the scenery like he was a child, and had never kid eyes in such wonders. “It’s… kinda nice.”
You elbowed him playfully, an awkward motion considering you were holding his hand. “See, you just gotta get out more. Use your vacation days, man.”
”We don’t get a lot of those,” he added quickly. He took a breath, about to speak, but you didn’t notice in time, and cut him off before he could.
“Oh Titan, you have to try these!” You exclaimed, pointing at a street vendor beside you. You bounced over the the counter, and looked down at the product. Spiced, sauced, and skewered mystery meat, slow cooked with flame magic to perfection.
Hunter looked over curiously, raising an eyebrow, “it smells good, but…”
You looked over at him while you payed the vendor, and took two servings. “But what?”
Hunters face scrunched up in disgust for a moment while he spoke. “It’s quite literally sold as mystery meat, that’s not even legal.”
You snickered, “Well you wouldn’t care about that, you aren’t the golden guard right now, yeah? You’re Hunter.”
He placed his hand on his chest, and gasped, “Hunter can care about the law!”
“Hunter is on a date with a criminal, whom he wrongful freed while trying to interrogate.” You handed him his skewer, the sauce dripping down the handle of it. “Give it a taste.”
Hunter took the skewer, albeit begrudgingly. He gave he meat a small sniff at first, then eyes it carefully.
“Dude, what are you even doing?”
He grimaced, and threw his hand in the air as he spoke, “I don’t know!”
“Dude just eat it,” you said, squinting at him. You weren’t immune to him though, and gave your own portion a good sniff before biting into it. “It’s-“ you tried to speak, but your mouth was full.
“Fine…” he grumbled. “This guys lucky you’re here,” he mumbled, looking back at the vendor. “I could totally arrest him…” He took the smallest of bites with his front teeth. As he chewed what little he had, his features softened.”
”Well?” You asked, smirking.
“Oh shut up,” he said, taking another, more sure bite. “Also thank you,” he said.
”Seeee?”
Hunter waved his hand in dismissal as he ate. “Yeah, yeah, I’m team-” he shook his head, “-team mystery meat.”
You smiled, “good.” Before he could get another bite in, you hastily tapped your mystery meat against his. “Clink,” you chirped, “cheers.”
He rolled his eyes, “Cheers, I guess.”
There was a simple joy to being a crook and a witch, a joy you were determined to shove in Hunters face, little by little. The golden guard Hunter was lucky to have wild witch you as a soulmate.
”Hey next time we go out, you should try stealing.”
”Titan, you have to stop,” he laughed.
[Lmao i finished this a while ago just forgot to post it here oops anyway]

You know, in To Kill a King, the question Merlin asks of Gwen is really lacking in context. It’s understandable, as Merlin can’t exactly tell her everything, but it also means that Merlin is, (once again), acting on poor information. Whether or not his decision is right or wrong can be debated. It’s a tough choice. However, I think the show waters down the murkiness of it all, and presents Merlin’s choice as morally superior without even giving us a truly good reason for this.
The crux of the argument comes down to Gwen’s answer when she is basically being asked by Merlin: Would you take revenge and kill Uther if you could? She is horrified at the idea of killing someone, anyone, for such a purpose. She thinks it’s wrong. It’s the classic “it makes us no better” and fair enough. Unfortunately, vengeance is barely what this is about so the answer is somewhat lacking for this scenario.
There is another angle at play here: Uther is a threat to a great many more innocents. His laws guarantee the death of innocents. There is no way to prevent all of these deaths. Granted, killing Uther will not change these laws. However, Arthur is at least more lenient and reasonable than his father. There will be fewer unjust deaths under his rule. At the bare minimum, children, like Mordred, aren’t likely to be killed under his rule.
So, Gwen, is it okay to kill the man who killed your father to stop him from killing more children? More innocents in general (like your father)? Especially when said man is above the law and cannot reasonably, (short of a coup), be stopped in any other way? Will you kill a child-murderer, who gets off Scot-free otherwise, to prevent him ordering the murder of more children?
And this is a significant part of where Morgana is coming from. She’s fought with Uther tooth and nail over his cruelty and injustice. Morgana, at this point, knows Arthur is a better man than his father. She’s outright said so. It’s a part of her decision-making process even! Arthur has spoken out against punishments that don’t fit the crime, like when Gwen was falsely accused. He helped with Mordred. He let Morgana out of the dungeons. He risked his life for Merlin, (and proved willing to accept Morgana’s influence in doing so). Morgana can see that things will be better under his reign, so killing Uther can be justified.
Plus, there is also the element of self-preservation. Why does Morgana change her mind in the end? In her own words: “I thought he cared for me.” Morgana, at this point, suspects she has magic. She is scared of Uther knowing this. Choking her and being sent to the dungeons confirmed that he would not spare her. If he can kill even his almost daughter over a disagreement, he really knows no limit. Now it is her life on the line too. She’s not safe. Is it not just to kill in self-defence?
So Morgana’s logic is not just revenge. She is choosing to kill Uther because she knows it will protect children like Mordred, avenges Gwen’s father, Morgana’s father, and countless others. And it ultimately keeps her safe. Arthur, after all, won’t likely execute her like Uther will. Innocents will be safer under his rule. Knowing Morgana is not even safe, cannot even influence Uther anymore, is the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Morgana changes her mind when she is given reason to. She understandably wrestles with the decision to kill, (let alone someone who helped raise her), and Uther at the gravesite gives her the indication that she is a) safe from him, and b) able to influence him, given his apparent regret of Tom’s death; (hence possibly allowing her to also protect people without killing him. In the Middle Ages, it was even the woman’s expected role to counsel the king to mercy.) Morgana is rather let down by these hopes in the end, and by S2 regrets her hesitation in killing Uther.
But, yeah, sure, we’ll boil all that complexity down to “killing him makes me as bad as the evil people.” 🤦‍♀️

Listen up though because I have a proposal
Reading Saul Goodman as bi is supreme
(in better call saul)
Here's why
The man is being pulled by two opposite direction. The one obviously being morality, as presented to him by the law and polite society, and the other being immorality, a life of scheming and crime, which he eventually chooses to partake in. Jimmy unfortunately is someone who has always fluctuated somewhere in the middle. He is thriving and at his absolute best in that middle. Step either way onto any of those directions and his life crumbles. Think about it. Being too moral gets him nearly depressed and going full criminal brings him great anguish (at first anyway). He doesn't fit either category perfectly. And yet he keeps fighting against himself in order to conform to one or the other. Had he just accepted that which he was, despite the disapproval of others (mainly chuck), he would be happy. After Chucks demise and his complete severance and release from this constant criticism he leans heavily on his other side. He pays dearly a hefty emotional price as he tries to pretend this life suits him. That he can do it like Mike can. He is now entered this other world, the one shunned by society where all the fun was supposed to be, where he was told time and time again that he belonged, only to find it's a dead end. He keeps pushing and pushing that way until not much of him is left anymore, by the time we get to breaking bad.
He simply cannot accept himself for what he is. I doubt he thinks there's such a thing to begin with! End of the day, it's all still there. Every bit of who he is doesn't seize to exist whether he'd like it or not.
Just read that again and pretend instead of "morality" it says heteronormativity and instead of "crime" it says gayness.
[that's not to say straight is moral and gay is immoral, but that villainy is an excellent tool to symbolise queerness because of it's ability to reveal the hypocritical nature of "normalcy". Anyway let's not get too philosophycal.]
And I mean if you've been on the bisexual joy-ride of doubt and self hatred, you know this journey all too well
I'm not saying reading Saul Goodman as a bisexual is the definitive way and that's what was intended and blah blah blah
No
I'm just saying it's a fucking fun way to read the ideas the show proposes
Like a fun new exercise to pack even more subtext to it

“Oh, this is embarrassing.”
“Embarrassing? You’re the one getting arrested.”
Despite being in handcuffs and on his way to a cell, the villain laughed. “At least when I break out, I’ll get to go home to a lovely cottage up in the mountains. I give it a week until all your heroes have turned to the dark side.” His gaze darted around as he walked, taking in the sad state of the heroes’ headquarters.
The villain in question was the ever-annoying Sundew, the man with half a dozen carnivorous—or downright poisonous—plants up his sleeve at any given moment. Literally. The cuffs on his wrists were supposed to prevent him from manifesting plants, but one could never be too careful. The labs typically had little information to go off of when devising ways to contain superbeings, and a one-size-fits-all approach was impossible.
There were days when Valentine regretted his change in career paths. This was one of them. Another was when the heroes had handed him his new costume. He couldn’t complain about the all black, happy to lean into the ex-assassin theme. But in their rush, the costume department had handed over something a little too tight. And itchy.
And okay, the sleeveless high-necked shirt with a faint, heart-shaped patch of lighter fabric on the chest was a bit much. Valentine was fine leaning into the seductive assassin them, too, but his new coworkers refused to believe that his old boss had given him his fake last name, not him.
“All right, keep it moving.” Valentine gave Sundew another shove on the back. The villain had probably had the luxury of choosing his own costume. Not that he’d made great choices. The bright red leather jacket and darker red v-neck would have been better without the green leather pants. The mismatched red and green fingerless gloves were also…something.
“Really, didn’t you used to be an assassin?” Sundew asked, glancing back over his shoulder. His wild eyes, a dark shade of auburn, glinted under the fluorescent lights. “You traded a life of wealth and glam to work here?”
The disgusted ‘here’ referred to Defenders Alliance West, the newest branch of the country’s biggest superhero organization. With ‘newest’ as the operative word, the place was a bit lacking in funding. And infrastructure. The cell block was fine, thankfully, but the main office, training room, and living quarters left a lot to be desired.
Government approval wasn’t the same as government funding. The Defenders Alliance didn’t have authorities on their ass about vigilante laws, but unless they agreed to take on missions solely at the government’s discretion, they were on their own for financial support.
Superheroes rarely agreed to such a tight leash. It kind of defeated the point of being a hero.
“I’d hardly call being an assassin glamorous. And there’s more to life than money.” Valentine halted next to his desk. Yes, they’d felt the need to give superheroes desks when most of their time was supposed to be spent out fighting crime. Apparently, Defenders Alliance was a big fan of paperwork. Seemed unnecessary, given that they still technically operated outside the law—government approval was a very loose term—but they had a reputation to uphold.
The water pooling on the floor at Valentine’s feet wasn’t doing much for that reputation bit.
Valentine shoved Sundew into the chair by his desk.
“No need to be so rough,” Sundew muttered.
“I’m afraid rough’s my specialty,” Valentine told him, a thin smile on his lips. Raising his voice so the rest of the office could hear, he asked, “Can someone tell me why there’s a sixth Great Lake forming over here?”
There was a blur of pink and white, and Hyperlight was standing in front of him. “Sorry, dude, that pipe broke again. But maintenance says they’ll have it fixed for good this time.” She slid out her earbuds and glanced at Sundew. “Oh, hi. Plant guy, right?”
“Yeah, watch his arms,” Valentine warned. “The plants will have you hospitalized for a week.”
“Or under my spell,” Sundew added with a wink.
Valentine ignored the comment. “He’s put upwards of twenty people in the hospital over the past month.” Depending on Sundew’s plant of choice, he could inflict paralysis, blinding pain, hallucinations, eat away at skin and, yes, induce a temporary hypnosis that made the victim inclined to do his bidding. Which usually involved breaking and entering.
“Hey, no one died. And I got my paintings.” Sundew grinned. “Not a bad crime spree, when all’s said and done.”
Valentine rested a hand on the chair’s arm and leaned in. “We’re not done until I find where you stashed them, and you live out your prison sentence.”
“A touch aggressive there, Val.”
“Of course I’m aggressive.” Valentine masked his annoyance with an easy smile. “I’ve been chasing you for a month.”
“Are you sure that’s the cause of your aggression, and not that flickering light in the back corner?”
“I appreciate the concern, but we have big renovations planned this weekend.”
Sundew laughed. “So you opened the branch before the building was ready? Why?”
“Because of people like you.” Valentine straightened up. “Hyperlight, could you grab me an intake form? And maybe a coffee from the break room?”
“You sure?” Hyperlight asked. “That coffee’s pretty gross.”
“Yes, I’m sure.”
“Have you considered stealing a better coffee machine?” Sundew asked as Hyperlight vanished. In the blink of an eye, she was back with a piece of paper and a cup of coffee.
“If I were going to steal something, it wouldn’t be a coffee machine.” Valentine took the items from Hyperlight and sipped from the cup. It was pretty bad, but he’d drunk much worse without batting an eye.
Hyperlight ran off again. Valentine glanced around the lobby as he set the form on his desk. Most heroes were out at the moment, but there were a couple big names lounging around. Fire goddess Pyra—who looked like an elf out of a fantasy novel with her pointed ears, gold armor, and waves of red hair—was struggling with the keypad on the vending machine. The fact that the sword in her free hand was starting to glow had Valentine concerned about the future of one of the branch’s few working perks. Brontide, meanwhile, sat at his desk working on a salad, static electricity jumping between the prongs of his fork.
With a heavy sigh, Valentine scribbled Sundew’s name at the top of the form.
Sundew leaned forward to peer at the paper. A piece of his reddish-brown hair fell into his face as he moved. His wasn’t much longer than Valentine’s sleek black hair, but it was certainly more of a mess. “Could you get that?” he asked. “I’d do it myself, but I’m a bit busy being in handcuffs.”
Valentine actually contemplated obliging as a power move, but the risk of Sundew finding a way to poison him was too high. “I think you having limited vision is to my benefit.”
Sundew tipped his head to the right. “That form is ridiculous.”
“Well, look at that. Something we agree on.” Valentine added the date and time before setting the pen down.
“So, you spent a month chasing me and only me?” Sundew asked with a sly smile.
“Don’t sound too excited. It was an assignment.”
“It sounds like you consider me your rival.”
“Sure. Why not.”
“Sorry, appreciate the offer, but I’ve had multiple heroes chasing me for a long time. I’d hardly consider you a worthy rival.” Sundew shrugged. “Maybe we can revisit in a few months?”
Valentine’s ability to act unbothered was running low. He had to hand it to Sundew, it was rare for someone to get on his nerves this quickly.
“So, what hero did they assign to run this branch?” Sundew asked, glancing around. “They must be disappointed to be leaving one of the good ones behind.”
“Aphelion is more than happy to give his time to us.” Presumably. Valentine rarely saw the guy. A few of the other heroes were transfers from other branches as well, while the rest had been long established in the area already as solo acts. Valentine was the only real new hero.
“I’ve been chatting with some of the other villains around here, you know,” Sundew said. “We’re all looking forward to seeing how this new arrangement plays out.”
“I’m sure you are.”
“And we all know Cyrus Valentine isn’t your real name.”
Valentine laughed. “You’ll never find my real name.”
“I’ll figure it out.”
“That would be a lot of effort to spend on someone who isn’t your rival.” Valentine raised an eyebrow.
Sundew’s amused expression finally slipped.
“All right.” Valentine stretched out his arms. “Let’s get you in a cell.”
“Sorry, but I should really be getting home.” Sundew was smiling again. “I have no one to water my plants.”
“Aw, I’m sorry. Why don’t you give me your address and I’ll make sure they’re taken care of for you?”
“That’s so sweet of you. But I have a better idea.” A bright green vine, lined with thin red tentacles oozing clear liquid, shot out of Sundew’s boot.
Valentine’s lightning reflexes barely got him out of harm’s way.
Sundew pulled his arms out from behind his back, revealing that the handcuffs had been melted through with acid. There was a hole burned in Valentine’s desk chair, too. Fantastic.
“Don't feel bad for not expecting that, the acid is new,” Sundew said. “I caught the flu last week. Sometimes when I get sick, my plants learn new tricks.”
“Delightful.” Valentine drew his gun from his side and took aim. “Any other useful facts about your anatomy that you’d like to share?”
“Nothing useful, no. But if you want to be impressed…”
A new vine emerged from Sundew’s sleeve and reached for the gun. Valentine fired. While the vine dropped to the ground, cleaved in half by the bullet, a second vine smacked the back of his hand and knocked the weapon out of his grasp.
Valentine winced. In the blink of an eye, burns were forming on his skin.
Sundew bolted.
The burning sensation wasn’t enough to stop Valentine from giving chase. It wouldn’t have been, anyway, if it weren’t for the giant venus flytraps that sprang up around him. His eyes narrowed as he realized tiny seeds had been scattered across the floor around his desk.
Thankfully, Pyra came to his aid. Her flaming sword cut through the plants with ease. “Face the wrath of my flames!” she roared.
While she handled the plants with an overabundance of enthusiasm, Valentine jumped onto his desk to pursue Sundew. He hopped from desk to desk in his race across the lobby, keeping his eyes on the fleeing villain.
Brontide yelped in surprise as his salad was knocked off the desk.
“Sorry!” Valentine called as he leaped to the next one.
He caught up to Sundew ten feet from the building’s front doors. Sundew whirled around and grabbed his wrist.
Sundew examined the patch of red skin on the back of Valentine’s hand. “Impressive resistance.”
“I’m not an ordinary human.”
“Right, right, test subject, enhanced everything. Still impressive. Don’t sell yourself short.” Sundew grinned.
The grin faded as Valentine grabbed Sundew’s upper arm and sent him crashing to the ground. Sundew rolled and jumped back to his feet. His hand moved to his pocket. He flung a handful of seeds in Valentine’s direction.
Vines exploded from the seeds. They collided with Valentine, knocking him to the ground, and quickly wrapped around his limbs. And, more alarmingly, his neck.
By the time Valentine had ripped the vines up enough for them to stop trying to strangle him, Sundew was gone.
Valentine groaned as he climbed to his feet. At least the guy wasn’t a killer. Just a massive pain in the ass.
Well, Valentine had notes for next time. Acid-resistant cuffs. A second pair for Sundew’s ankles. Check the guy’s pockets for seeds.
Hyperlight appeared at Valentine’s left. “Hey, I’ve got something for you—”
“Can you get out there and grab Sundew before he gets away?” Valentine asked. Even as he said the words, he wasn’t sure there was a point. He didn’t have cuffs to lock the guy up with.
“Yeah, I’ll try.” Hyperlight vanished. Returned. “Sorry. No idea where he went. I’m not familiar with all of the city’s escape routes yet.”
Right. She was a SoCal transfer.
“You said you had something for me?” Valentine asked.
“Yep. Delivery from the costume department.” Hyperlight dropped the stack she was holding into Valentine’s hands. “New pants and gloves, just like you asked.”
Valentine stared blankly at the clothes. “These are purple.”
“Yeah.”
Footsteps approached. Brontide moved to stand at Valentine’s right. “Well, looks like it’s back to the grind, Valentine.” He clapped a hand against Valentine’s shoulder.
Valentine sighed. “That used to mean killing people.”
“And we’re all very glad you’re here instead.”

Second Look at She-Hulk
Why 2nd episode is shorter than the first one? I really don’t like how they keep shrinking the episodes of She-Hulk, while other Marvel shows had episodes that lasted over 45 minutes, sometimes lasting a whole fucking hour. What the fuck is happening? Who was cutting this story into parts? I want answers! GIVE ME ANSWERS DISNEY!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jen says a few things that I was angry about (Why every female superhero is a derivative of an existing male one?) and some that fandom was asking before (Do Avengers get paid, or they can only function as privately funded by billionaire vigilante team?).
She was also fired for being a Hulk, because she saved lives, but sacked the case she would otherwise win with that action.
Bruce calls her Fuzzball. That is so cute.
Oh, no. That is so fucking unfair. She Hulked up to save life once, and suddenly nobody wants to hire her anymore. Matt Murdock is the lucky one. Clear distinction between your normal and hero life keeps you in your job, even if you have your own private law firm.
Ok... they have a whole point about a family member telling Jen that she can make her pretty curly hair more like "She-Hulk's" so it was INTENTIONAL for She-Hulk to have straight hair, so then her family member could be crap about her natural beautiful curls? What? Or what? Why is she talking about chunky highlights and lowlights?
Ok... they made her being a Big And Green Lawyer in Court a requirement of her new job? Instead of something she decided for herself? I was seriously thinking she was gonna make her own Law firm instead of wait for someone to hire her. That it was the direction.
A guy at work just gave Jen a map to the "best bathroom for popping". America is really not ok. You are all doomed, seriously.
ARE THEY FOR REAL? THEY WANT JEN TO FIGHT FOR PAROLE FOR EMIL BLONSKY? The guy who in the 2008 movie wanted to turn into a monster after he became enhanced similar to Steve Rogers and then went to destroy Harlem and possibly kill people to draw out the Hulk simply because he wanted "some challenge"? ARE THEY FOR REAL? (Did I say already how much I hate that movie?).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We are told that she has a choice, but she truly doesn’t have a choice. If she doesn’t take his case, she will have no work. Simple. You cannot choose if you are faced with being unemployed with a student loan as a second option. I would even say that this counts as coercion. Didn’t they send her a contract to read? Why they told her only now that she has to be She-Hulk at work and has to take Blonky’s case? That seems like breaking some rules in regard to hiring people. Or maybe this is a standard practice in America?
We are seeing the evil side of being a lawyer once again. Being forced to fight for people that did horrible things. I know that American prison system is fucked, and they don't believe in resocialization like Europe does, but damn, this is what Foggy and Marci hated to do. Fighting for a cause that was morally perturbing. Yeah, high-security prisons like RAFT or DODC facility are breaking human rights, so villains should not be kept there, simply because those facilities treat them like monsters instead of a people that can come back to society as better people and not commit the crimes again. If the show wanted to explore that, this would be an angle I would be interested in to see, but Emil is just not a good person. I don't believe they want to show us that American prison system is fucked, so even villains deserve parole to avoid the inhuman treatment. I believe that they want Jen to represent a guy that didn't change and will never do, and would do the exact same shit if he knew he could get away with it.
Yeah, technically the serum could be blamed. I predicted they will go with this angle, but seriously. He was not a good guy before that, too.
Emil Blonsky has 7 pen pal soulmates that he wants to elope with? In America? I thought USA doesn't condone polyamory or polygamous relationships in marriage... did the law change in MCU or what?
HOW DOES BRUCE HAVE PHONE SIGNAL IN A BLOODY SPACE?!

Life Partners (WIP)
So a Life Partner is basically like a soulmate because you’re supposed to stay with them for your entire life, but it’s also similar to marriage where you can get a divorce of sorts, though it’s an entire legal process that requires good reasoning, luckily there are many things that can warrant a divorce./XC
Now Life Partners aren’t assigned by the universe or anything like that, they’re picked by people, just like marriage, but these relationships are determined by a Selector who picks a Choice.
A Selector is a person who is deemed responsible and acceptable to pick who will be their partner in life. They probably have their life together to an extent and have plans for their future. Even if they don’t if have it all together, they still finish the assigned tests with the right scores to be a Selector.
A Choice is a person who was deemed to either not reach the criteria of Selector, or they are seen as needing a partner for one thing or another. Sometimes scores aren’t what determines a Choice, but something else, like they might have a bad forgetting problem, or have a physical/mental disability that they would need help with.
You get your assigned role between 16-20, depending on where you live and how long the process takes there. While overall this system is the way things are, there have been some incidents. There are cases where the wrong person is allowed to be a selector and they ruin someone else’s life, but there are more success stories so they’re dealt with accordingly.
You can petition for a type change every 2 years if you can prove that you’re capable. A Choice can try to change to a Selector, but they have to meet the criteria especially when they’re over 21 they have to prove they’re a capable adult. And suppose a Selector is over 21 and they pick a Choice who isn’t happy with their lifestyle. In that case, they can go to court and prove that they aren’t as capable as assumed (within a year to not be counted as together) and this could either stop the relationship from happening or be a good reason for divorce. Afterward, the Selector will then be changed to a Choice.
There are a lot of laws and rules put into this to make sure the Choice is actually going to be safe and comfortable in their new relationship and their voices are listened to as to make sure kidnapping and trafficking aren’t hidden under the guise of Life Partners.
When a Selector picks someone, the Choice has a year to go to court and make a case as to why they can’t be with that selector. Or also a year to sort out any other ‘relationships’ they might’ve had before the Selector can take them to court for cheating.
It’s illegal to break up or cheat on your life partners. You can go to court to be separated (within acceptable reasons) but otherwise, cheating is completely illegal. You’re supposed to be Life Partners. It’s not always seen as too bad a thing for Selectors because they can just choose someone else, but Choices might have problems if no one else wants them. They can live independently, (actually everyone can if they want) but after you’ve been with someone who takes care of you they sometimes have a hard time readjusting to single life.
Abuse is a serious crime when it comes to life partners and if proven, the perpetrator (while usually a Selector there have been cases of abusive Choices) will be forcefully taken from the relationship, and depending on the kind of abuse they will either be put in a treatment facility for rehabilitation, or put in jail, where there’s only a chance for rehab if you actually want it, but you can’t come out until you’ve done so and prove you won’t make the same mistake.
Verbal or Mental abuse would be cases where they’re sent to rehab and can hopefully start over with a new partner. Physical abuse though is not seen the same way and does require a minimum amount of regular jail time before any attempt for rehab can be made.
It is recommended that even if you’re a selector and you find a choice you want to be with in high school, you don’t pursue it until after both parties are over 18. Parents are allowed to interfere before that and even if a parent approves, consent is always required so there’s no forcing a minor with fear tactics. There’s heavy investigation that goes into Life Partners of minors. It’s not worth the hassle so it’s easier to just wait until they’re 18.
It’s not necessarily public knowledge if you’re a Selector or a Choice so you can lie about it or keep it secret but when you enter a life partner relationship you’re required by law to tell. Most people tell during their teenage years in hopes of finding a partner but still, it’s not illegal to lie, it just would probably cause you problems later in life.
I have no idea if this will turn into an original story, or if I’ll make it au for a fanfic in the future.

I mean . . . What's more important than this, these, now? 9-23-23
"The truth is, it takes the same energy to choose healing as it does to choose helplessness—but the results are very different. One leaves you & I paralyzed by events, the other gives us hope for the future." - J.D.
I was just going to post a couple pictures of the grandkids that are here for the weekend and leave these two quotes, but. . . I'll add. . .
I had a conversation with my oldest son the other day, along with a piece I remember writing several years ago about people being involved in their own battles not everyone has time to join in ours.
I may have a side picked for most issues but the ones closest to my heart, at that moment, will always get my attention first, most.
Whatever your thing is that you try to rally people over to, I know I have a side, but what if I'm fighting financial hardship, or I'm focused on battling drug addiction (it is pretty influential topic in our family), or if I know a young lady suffering from a rape or incest who can longer have a safe abortion?
Probably going to be emotionally preoccupied with our/my battles even if I believe in your side.
Not to mention some battles don't deserve my attention from either side spoken outloud if it costs me my peace and just like I told him, and just like I've said before there's a whole lot of ugly institutions, laws, and policy that I wish were different but costing me my peace and the relationships I've gained are too high a price to pay. For me, that is.
The culture and society may have some toxicity, but some slight conformity has given me so much more in my life, with my limited . . .abilities to overcome some of the battles others fight in.
I'm still against police overreach, like big time. It disgusts me to know end, but although I know, even those who commit crimes have rights that are stepped on constantly, I've had like 5, maybe 6 police interactions in the last ten years, mostly routine traffic stops. None of them asked about my background, and I don't really do a whole lot of breaking the law, so they are limited on approaching me at all.
Granted, my privilege, whether you agree or not, plays a small role in that.
My point is that you GET to choose where you focus your attention.
Ask yourself, "As noble as that cause might be, is it worth what it might, and probably will cost me?" Then look at my pictures in this post.
Yeah, I'm good. Yes, I'm half a sell-out, but buying in has proved some of me right and some of me wrong.
I'm good here. I get to be . . .HERE!!
Did I mention last week that it's been 10 god damn years!?
Before I close I'm also going to put a couple pictures in here of this book I bought at the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum in Mansfield. It's a bunch of short quotes, I think . . .until we make it through the book, I'm going to start the description that goes with Pawpaw's Storytime with one of those each time, even if they don't necessarily match the rest of the description. I'll still close with a reading or learning quote, or the like.
That's it guys, now it's back to my little dude knuckle heads. Just love my grands. All of them are pretty much the best little people you'll ever meet.
Remember that sharing your love and your laughter could warm the heart of a very cold world!
It's important.
Until next week;
"Ambition is necessary to accomplishment. Without an ambition to gain an end, nothing would be done. Without an ambition to excel others and to surpass one’s self, there would be no superior merit. To win anything, we must have the ambition to do so." - Laura Ingalls

Even When Its Just YOU ~ Stand & Be Counted ~ 5D Choice, Directing Timelines
Within all of our stories, we are divine, sacred, always navigating, and not all moments we know fully what is going on, for we are harmonizing many, many timelines, and when you choose to live awake, consciously - it is a very divine experience when you can choose, through your sacred inner knowing, what you know to be true, choose the timeline and direction of all Creational forces, energy, focus, direction; the reality you know is divinely best for you.
Even if it is not comfortable or popular - the corruption on this planet being bathed, will bring up ALL that is not in alignment of truth, integrity, and 5D potentials; on every level of creation - we are here to rarify all that are involved;
For all get to choose higher truth, higher knowing, your own divine and powerful convictions of what is important and valuing for you - that is what is most key - all that you know - that is the essence that moves creation;
I am often shown and told 'Joanna, you have no idea what you offer, in your truth, and how it adjusts all creation' and all you are is standing with just you, only you, and speaking what needs to be offered; from your life story, what you see, the gifts you have and why you have those gifts, and be the eyes, ears, knowing of Source to ever bring humanity to new systems of divine design -
God is our creational movement - and all have a choice to bring higher resolve, truth, honour of your path, your inner excitement, and what you know as alignment to greater light programs;
Higher order laws will always prevail - when you follow these, regardless of how many in the human form, human systems that are for the most part corrupt - the alliance with light and your working within that -
All you need to banish, purge, and bathe out every person that is abusing their power, abusing information, abusing the innocent and whatever is in your day, path, life, to do what is needed to transmute old and bring forth higher resolve order and alignment for 5D earth - in which we are working with celestial and galactic beings of which none not even for a 1 sec would be fooled - the density of a lie is seen, known, before you even show up; that is deceit, and manipulation, and we must know how to navigate all vibrationally steeped waters, the intentions, agenda's and motives of those that are still choosing to not heal, and until the shift of consciousness occurs; it is up to each to discern and bring forth for re-writing - all in oneness and fairness and higher truth
There will always be a higher truth -
Our life is to continually bring higher light, order, and integrity - for our harmonizing into new higher refined light - knowing, consciousness and intelligence - all play a part -
That is pure evolution and no 3D person, regardless of their title, rank and money or bank roll will ever out-weigh and out-write the divine plan for creational evolution - period.
So if it is just you, speak your life experience, and how you navigate all waters; we are multi-dimensional people and we certainly never always navigate in just the positive poly-anna waters; we are real, raw and transmuting eons of corruption, subjugation, and limitation - and all need to know in your story - they too are there - that is the attraction factor;
We are banishing all double standards, slight of hand, being paid off for silence, entrapment, fraudulent documents, occult crimes, intimidation and gang stalking, withholding of personal property and monies for manipulations, blackmail -
Intention is the verdict - Any intent to take, block, break, bring death, bring harm, bring confusion, uncertainty to sway outcome and narrative or conclusion - through any form of energy work, voodoo, intimidation of and abuse of title, rank, monies; will be in such equal to verdict - that is what one chooses, that will be and our energies, the unseen help, our equal knowing, all deserve to be treated with fairness, safety, and honouring of our unique soul expression and intelligence herein;
We will align all laws, social order in ways that healing is priority than breakout of corruption, gangs, and loss to the innocent -
Crime, violence, trafficking are not necessary - all is healable and that IS truth; Universal Laws will prevail any and all that choose to abuse their power and in any payoff, any slight of hand, falsifying paperwork, will be equally met with any way in which spirit, ones own higher self, God, Source chooses to bring truth;
Do you think dear ones, that God, the master magician of all Creation does not have a spell that casts 'truth spell' on all involved in crime, corruption over the many many innocent stolen from, abused, taken from that are forever damaged due to that selfishness?
Do you not think that God, the creator of all life; all beings, all matter, all void; does not have an equal spell none would even sense, that would bring truth through and in all beings simply and because all thus far have not honoured such opportunities of potential to alter course? How many ways do you think God will bring forth truth to be known by all - what so many wanted to remain hidden and how much money went in to hide; better discern dear ones, exactly what you want hidden is exactly what Source, God had given years, and lifetimes to make right, bring truth, and alter course to re-balance -

Tumblr media
And when you need it most - no lie, no thwarting, no magic from any 3D person, will ever be more powerful than the Divine and infinite beings in alliance with light; be sure who you choose deceive and play arrogant with - For God is also the demons and devils that such sacrifices and debts go to - it is your own shadow -
These are truths; these are laws of higher order - and no this ground out-rank such. Keep playing in wounding and see what unfolds, or choose to be truthful and heal - and see what unfolds - what path carries light and healing and a smoother ride of higher co-creation?
The lessons are before you - that is free will - no longer will the light workers and guides of higher realms, nor children, or innocent, be enslaved and entrapped - such cease now.
Judgment is called.
Anyone intending to do harm
Offer truth, integrity and higher resolve - offer the peaceful resolve with true self empowerment and honour to that which will always be laid before you -
Life is this way - you alter it for all creation when you have in 100% unconditional faith; all you need is the "Alliance with Light"

The "Retro" Frankenstein Nike Jordan Spizike
Dark director Tyler Perry has exactly the same problems 'blaxploitation' had in the '70's. Stereotypes abound in his films, especially of women, exactly like black movies in the '70's, but at least they aren't super women but real women with real problems and heavy women as human beings. Perhaps you noticed when black actors begin romantic comedy or comedy in general, they play characters are usually successful, middle class or upper middle class, but as soon as they do a drama they are poor as a nightmare!! Message delivered---"real" blacks are always dangerous. At one time several studios had entries of long successful film series browsing the wings. Indiana Jones and Finally Crusade and Star Trek V were released a handful of weeks later, with Lethal Weapon 2 and Ghostbusters 2 right behind them. Hopefully wasn't enough a man by the category of Bond, James bond showed up just few days later in "License to kill". Only consider Indiana Jones, Captain Kirk, Batman and James Bond all playing at the same time frame! If you needed a break from this frenzy Mel Gibson along with the cracksum Ghost Hunting Boys were just in the corridor. According to xilisoft video converter ultimate crack free download of fashion college students, the Brazilian-born Gisele Bundchen should be the best lady of modeling. wondershare filmora crack activation code free download and face are virtually perfect, and never to mention a breath of fresh air for anyone who's grown tired for this pouting, emaciated model. Gisele's figure is shapely and proportional and super feminine with wide hips and breasts. Since 1999 she's got been a top model, and top choice for photographers and fashion homes. She earns millions of dollars 1 year between endorsements and photo shoots, and she or he is one of the world's highest-paid models in history. When a small grouping of masked criminals enter a bank and takes everyone hostage, the N.Y.P.D. rushes to the scene from the crime happening. Detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) emerged the assignment although he or she is currently under investigation himself after 140,000 dollars came out missing as well as the name was attached going without running shoes. Frazier is going face to face with Dalton Russell (Clive Owen). Russell appears to generally be one step ahead for this cops and believes that he's planned the perfect bank heist. Another short that demands a feature vision. A likable nerd stumbles across "The Lost Thing" a cross from the spaceship, a chiminea and also an octopus. It really is has a life of its own and has to fit in somewhere but where that home is will take some hunting. A deeply touching, funny, soul searching piece that is my favorite of canines. plantronics hub crack free download would be a very effective film showing kids who haven't found their place in the world yet. Making this my vote. but. For example, when you sign on for EC2 you work through a question and answer process a person decide on things like memory, hard disc drive space and processor rate. You also choose your operating system too, like Windows, Linux or Solaris. I will not have to worry whether the server is running one of the most recent version of Windows. I don't have to worry if you will find there's mechanical issues with the oven. I don't have to worry if my data getting backed up - day-to-day activities setup our very own services comprehensive this or use other functions from Amazon. When all the smoke clears I've access to a server "in the cloud" just like it's making use of front of me. With previously mentioned information are usually well on a way obtaining a law firm retreat which make a change for families. That said you actually have any plan against the retreat nonetheless need to implement that plan over the next twelvemonth. Having a plan that sits on the shelf is not going permit you achieve your goals and areas one thing a coach can an individual to with too as your pre-retreat planning or even facilitation of your law firm retreat.

Top-Tier Talents 3 David Haze on how he went from wrong-doing to world records!
Today’s guest is David Haze.
So many of us have lost track of our sense of freedom and passion for adventure succumbing to the pressures of modern life. We should never let go of our dreams and always strive to gain new experiences and enjoy life for everything it has to offer.
After reaching the lowest point in his life David realised he was distracted from his true values and what made him come alive. He is now on a journey of 'self discovery', a quest to take his love for adventure and bringing people together out into the world with the aim to inspire and motivate personal growth. He wants more people to break free, come alive and take that step into the unknown to truly live through adventure no matter how big or small. If you have a vision, then commit to it, give it your all and do not let outside factors stop you. The only thing that will hold you back in life is yourself and his whole life he did that but no longer and you can do the same too.
David wants to live by his own example, which is why he is about to launch his 'Europe's Untamed Beasts' a first of its kind SUP adventure. He is also attempting to be the first person to SUP the river Nile and the formidable Skeleton Coast.
As he says "Through adventure we live..." and he is now the proud owner of 7 World Records!
In this interview, we discuss how your past doesn't define your future, how you can choose to change your life at any minute and how you too can chase a goal in your life.
Here are some key points that I would advise you to concentrate on
Your starting point does not need to be your end point - you can change at any moment. Your history doesn't equal your future.
It can be very easy to lose a sense of who you are, and try and build a facade or an image of a life that isn't real that you try and keep to. Pretending to be an unreal version of yourself will put a terrible strain on yourself and your mental health.
Prison or getting into trouble does not need to be your defining moment, you can change and go on to live a good life and contribute to others.
A true apology is a change in behavior.
We need to break this stupid image of men that they need to be 'strong, manly and sort all their problems themselves' - there is nothing wrong with asking for help, it is a sign of strength to look for help or advice.
You can make your biggest failure, your biggest success - you can use it as a motivational tool to help others and support and help others.
No matter how dark and alone things feel, you need to remember that "there are so many people around you ... plenty of people who will love and support you". You are never truly alone, there are charity groups, free law advice, doctors etc that can help you no matter what.
Own the situation, apologize where possible, learn from it, grow and change and live a better life thereafter. No matter how bad it is, things will get better.
If you want to rehabilitate yourself, you need to be proactive and ask for the help.
You are not worthless, no matter how much you are told you are, your self-worth is never defined by your past or what others think of you.
Treat everyone as an individual, not a label or a number.
Prison should be about teaching people to grow and change so they never go back there, that they learn from their darkest time.
Dr Sarah Lewis - Penial Reform Solutions
A kind word, offer of support, even helping someone in a small way can change theirs or your life. Be the change you want to see in the world.
Criminal records are no longer a stop to getting jobs, it may restrict some work options but thankfully things are offering chances to people who have been in jail and want to change their lives.
Everyone makes mistakes and does bad things, but it only defines you if you keep doing it.
Most people rarely commit crime because they want to, there is normally a story behind and a reason that caused it. We need to stop punishing the symptoms and fix the cause of the issue.
"... failing doesn't make you a failure, it just makes you someone who has failed and you just need to embrace the failure, grow, change your ways and come back stronger."
"You need to find your why in life."
Sport and adventure can help us find and define who we are, and find a purpose and challenge in our life.
Find an adventure on a level that works for you , to find out about yourself and challenge yourself. There are a lot of methods that you can try if you have kids, are older etc, you don't need to paddle board but it is great fun!
Build your self-worth by making promises of changed behavior ... and then achieve them! Stick to your word to yourself, learn that you can achieve what you say you will and that you matter.
You may need to leave a friendship, a behavior or even an area if you want to truly change.
Break down your goal or challenge into manageable parts, take the overall goal, and look for what you need, why you are doing it, what you are going to do, what you need to do it, how you will fund it, how you will fuel it and work on achieving each area.
Only you can change yourself, you need to take charge of your own life and own change.
Punishment is a great tool but it needs an element of rehabilitation in it or it is just a revolving door for people to commit crime after crime.

Yandere L and Light Headcanons
Note: I felt like writing something dark since it's been a while.
Warnings: dark content, yandere themes, kidnapping, stalking
Characters involved: L Lawliet, Light Yagami
Gender-neutral reader, you/yours
L Lawliet
L would take a more laid-back approach when it comes to his affection for you.
At first, he would just start with the basics, stalking you online and consuming information and content about/of you at an inhuman pace.
He's already memorised your birthday, address, blood type, people/pets you live with, educational background, and any possible careers before the end of the first night.
According to L, it's perfectly normal to want to know these things about someone you like. And what does it matter if he hacked into your social media to see your relations with others if he's just doing it to get to know you?
It's only when he's found out everything he possibly can online that L finally considers seeing you in person again.
The first time he does it is in the middle of the night, but as he approached your house street at 2 am L couldn't help but chicken out and return to the car, paying no heed to Watari's questioning gaze.
He chooses to return to online stalking after then, even going as far as to hack into your laptop's camera once they returned home that night.
It was then that, as L watched you scroll through social media on your bed, he felt that he might be doing something wrong for the first time. But he wasn't really harming you, so what did it matter?
The first time he actually sees you in person after his sudden obsession is on accident.
He doesn't even realise he's subconsciously led himself to a cafe you love to go to until the bell dings and L sees you enter.
L pulls the hood of his hoodie further over his face as you approach the table towards his left, but it's safe to say he spent the rest of the afternoon watching you work beside him.
As he watched you get up L had finally snapped out of his daze, thinking that seeing you for so long was enough and that he should head back now.
But then the barista behind the counter sent you a smile that was a little too sweet according to him and L felt himself following your form out of the cafe before he could think twice.
He didn't even realise he had followed you to your house until your form disappeared behind a familiar door, but by then L had finally had enough and chose to leave.
L wouldn't try kidnapping you or anything, he didn't want you like that. L just wanted you to feel the way he did. To have your entire world consumed by him just like you consumed his.
He would slowly ease his way into your life and then use psychology to get close to you and make you fall in love with him. You wouldn't even realise anything was wrong until one day you came home to your shared house and L mentioned how you didn't have to work anymore since you didn't really need it.
L doesn't mean any harm, and won't force you into anything or break any laws. Psychological manipulation doesn't count as a crime, especially not if it grants him his darling s/o.
Light Yagami
Unlike L, Light wouldn't be satisfied with just surveillance and stalking.
He had cameras set up in every room of your house after the first two weeks of his obsession and followed them with mics the next week when he saw a suspicious male come over.
Light starts stalking you within the first month, even going as far as to break in and watch you sleep while he wrote down names in his death note for the night.
He replays the video of him kissing you goodnight while you sleep for hours on end once he gets back.
Light doesn't really care much about the law and kidnaps you before two months of his obsession. He locks you up in his house, being smart enough to have no one suspect him.
The soundproof walls, hidden doors, lock pads, lack of windows, and huge chains for your room also help matters.
Overall, Light doesn't see any line as one that shouldn't be crossed. Unlike L he doesn't want you to just be obsessed with him too, he just wants you, plain and simple.
He'll get you to go under Stockholm Syndrome soon enough, and guilt trips his way into your heart before you can even realise it, making you think that you can't live without him.
Light doesn't need you to be his lover or anything. He doesn't want your love, he doesn't want your obsession, he doesn't want anything. Because he can already take it without having you do anything.
You just need to be his little marionette who he can do with as he pleases.
Oh, and you should already know, Light doesn't shy away from extreme measures.
