everyone thinks steve's number one favorite person is dustin. sure, dustin is one of his favorite people, but he's not the first. and neither is robin, no matter how much he loves her and their slightly unhealthy, trauma bonded codependency.
hell, it isn't even his own boyfriend, and eddie will tell you he definitely does not pout at that. no, they and the party are all in the top 10 of his favorite people, don't get him wrong. but none of them hold first place.
and to be honest, none of them can be really mad. not when they all watch fondly as steve lifts his number one favorite person up to put the star on the tree with the biggest grin on his face, six year old holly wheeler giggling when he brings her back into his arms and places the biggest kiss on her cheek.

So confirmed Isobel is not undead when you first meet her. At some point I need to do a pt where I let Marcus take her and test if she's undead there.

The last living relative of the great Pinestar. As his granddaughter, and as an extremely talented young warrior, in her own right, great things are expected of Alpineknoll. Only time will tell if she will fulfill this presumed destiny, but thanks to the careful rearing and training of her grandmother, Graypelt, she shows great promise towards her destiny.

I should sleep soon but listen to me. it's implied in certain places [have to dig up the codices] that the Elvhen had some contact with the Evanuris after the Veil went up. You could take this as delusion or deceit; they believe they're communicating with the Evanuris in the Void, but they're mistaken or spirits are lying to them. You could also take this as politics; remaining leadership says they're in contact with the Evanuris to maintain order and legitimize their power.
But, you could say they had genuine contact. It would be limited for sure and potentially unclear [and of course it was eventually lost], but it's not impossible. The Void is not wholly inaccessible. It would be extremely dangerous to access, but perhaps some Dreamers were able and/or the Evanuris still had enough power at the time to send out messages. Then captivity in the Void weakened them or the proper pathways were lost. There are also the eluvians and their pathways. In theory, the Elvhen could get close to communicate with the Evanuris to some extent. This is especially true if my theory about there being eluvians designed to access / look in on the Void is true. So there are options for how it could be accomplished [and eventually lost], and there are definitely people who would risk the blight and/or getting lost in the Void to contact their gods in the aftermath of the fucking apocalypse.
If any of this is true . . . very interesting to consider Merrill's work with the eluvians and specifically the network to which Audacity was connected potentially leading to contact with the Evanuris. Probably really spotty contact but like . . . it could happen . . .

I think it’s only fair to warn you all that today's chapter of Baby Steps is gonna be heavy, especially since it deals with what Zeke went through with his mom. I'll give all the proper trigger warnings in the beginning author's note, but I just don't want anyone caught off guard.

I’m constantly thinking about the fact that Argo, Kirell’s adoptive dad, has an opportunity to kill Kirell’s abusive biological father in one of the alternative game routes, without him even realising what exactly he has done for the little girl he never met and her poor mother.

I’m sorry you got an obnoxious anon. I don’t know why people won’t filter ships they don’t like instead of being rude. I wanted to say that your post that prompted it was so thoughtful and I think you’re right. This part:
“…it really boils down to some of the fandom’s hatred for being a stereotypical feminine woman in asoiaf. sansa is hated so much in this fandom simply for being a young girl who had an idealistic view of the world.”
seems self-evident now that I think about it. The hatred for certain ships and acceptance of others really does seem to revolve around Sansa hate, but I don’t see how anyone reads her chapters and believes that GRRM intended us to have that reaction. Fans seem to have no patience for the process she’s undergoing, but I find her chapters beautifully written and her growth a delight to read.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 💛
ah it’s all good! i was mostly pissed about the implication that i have never read the books when i very obviously have 😭
the asoiaf fandom in general is very strange about their hatred for sansa, i’ve noticed in my time on tumblr. it’s not just dude-bros but very often other women who paint very negative light on sansa calling her selfish, bitter, classist, etc. Don’t get me wrong, sansa is very sheltered in the beginning and the way she acts is based on her upbringing- the only reason arya is not the same was because sansa fit into the mold society wanted while arya did not. arya was more familiar with being an outsider- albeit the small amount you get as a wealthy high born daughter- and got along more with outsiders like mycah.
arya/dany have very different character plot lines about how they are viewed lowly/an outsider and they begin to find strength and power in that (!!) meanwhile sansa’s is completely different- hers is all about going from being what everyone wanted and expected to having her world shattered and becoming that outsider. her story is more of a fall from grace and naivety- not at all similar to dany and arya. yes she was very sheltered in the beginning but she was also *checks notes* eleven years old.
all in all i think the asoiaf fandom needs to stop comparing multiple very different women and shame them for not being like another- it’s not the feminist gotcha moment they think it is.

Y’all. I’m hyperfixated on Artemis Fowl again. At the same time I’m hyperfixated on Batman.
And wouldn’t you know it! But Artemis Fowl ii is a black haired, blued eyed child with questionable parental figures. Something that, I’ll have many of you know, has caused a basis for an absolute wealth of Danny Phantom x Batman and Co fanfics to spring up.
All I’m saying is, I want a fanfic where the Fowls and the Wayne’s are distantly related, so now Bruce Wayne, the Batman, the bane of existence for all crime in Gotham city, has to learn that not only does he have family that are criminal masterminds, but one of them extorted an entire god damn fairy police for at the age of TWELVE.
Can you imagine the massive amount of teasing he’ll get? From his kids? How blatantly harassed he will get by Artemis?
Honestly?! You can’t tell me that in such an AU, Artemis Fowl ii doesn’t know exactly who Batman is. He absolutely does. In fact, there was absolutely an entire cyber war between Tim and Artemis. That’s probably just a constant in their lives honestly. Tim or Artemis get curious what the other side of the family is up to, and just engages a cyber war against each other while also pleasantly catching up. Bats would absolutely try to convert Artemis to helping the Justice League out too before he realizes that within two minutes Artemis has granted himself the ability to take control of the Watch Tower remotely at any time, and has enough information to absolutely blackmail the entire league.

Let’s put a pin in the Batfamily for a moment, alright? Let’s talk about the Catfamily. When is Kitrina returning to Gotham and officially becoming Selina’s adopted daughter?

once Dion and Raz reconcile maybe Raz would be showing Dion around the Motherlobe, showing him part of his agent life and what goes on. Even introducing him to the rest of the interns.
Tho I'm sure Raz, being a little kid and all, shares embarrassing stuff about Dion. Kinda feel like they would have that Bob and Gene dynamic from Bob's burgers where Raz would say something embarrassing and Dion would tiredly say his name and give him a look.
Raz: Wow Lizzie you can play guitar? Dion tried to learn once because of this girl he used to like but he ended up accidentally breaking it infront of her
Dion: Raz
Raz shares the embarrassing stories on purpose. He knows exactly what he's doing.
Dion keeps telling him to stop but figures that yeah, maybe he kind of deserves a bit of embarrassment after what he said to Raz. Not that he'll admit that.
