i've been enamored with this photograph of jensen and after my last painting, i wanted to do a portrait where i could really focus on the little details of a face and not need to do anything but paint what's in front of me. really enjoyed working on this one

beard got a little out of pocket but i didn't want to start over so i'm just accepting it

You Should See Me in a Crown theory

This isn’t really a deep dive like the Swan Lake one I did like months ago.

You should see me in a crown is already a very strange map and I think it’s not meant to be taken surface level. We see human Sara again in her world before she’s pulled into the game by Night Swan. Something weird is how unfazed by Night Swan she is. Considering her being “The Villain” you think she’d be more concerned that she had returned.

Sara looks like she’s having a blast, so this leads me to believe that Sara actively wants this (at least at first) we already suspect a deep connection between Sara and Night Swan. I think that this is part of Wander rubbing off on Sara and her own naivety. I think she’s more curious about Night Swan than afraid. They see very little of her in the 2023 story line. There could be something going on behind the scenes between the remaining coaches, especially Jack that intrigues her

I think she wants to hear Night Swan out. I know we all like to say Jack 100% hates Night Swan which is fair. I feel like the topic of her wouldn’t be something he brings up much which may make all of them slightly curious.

Anyway, Sara wants to see what she could be taught. Then, I think the entire map isn’t just happening in the span of a few minutes. I think Sara is with Night Swan for much longer and the map doesn’t abide by the laws of time. Sara and being taught by Night Swan, that’s pretty obvious throughout the map. She also seems to be honing any magical abilities she possesses in the Dance-verse.

She’s clearly somewhat interested and participating in this map. She is mimicking Night Swan (in her normal form) and she’s guiding Sara without force. Night Swan isn’t acting like they’d expect. She’s being tentative in moments.

I mean, she also seems to be treating Sara as a puppet; but there are more passive moments.

The part that I see shows that maybe time is being distorted is near the end where Sara seems to be snapping back and the time is catching up with her. She’s been in there long enough to succumb to the madness which makes her “betrayal” more believable. I think Night Swan forced her into the loop to deteriorate her mental state and brainwash her. She tries to rebel and she seems successful and even distraught at the end.

It seemed too late for her and her own desire to give in to Night Swan had left her vulnerable. When Wander gets to her (or at least sees her) the disappearance of Disco was moments ago to him, the time loop is lost on him. He doesn’t really know the full extent of what happened to Sara. If he did I’m not sure if he would have assembled everyone to go after her if he knew she wasn’t just captured but taken over. (We don’t know how much of You Should See Me in a Crown Wanderlust sees.) It could just be that last bit.

TLDR; Sara was taken over because of her own desire to see what Night Swan was saying and the whole map takes place in a distorted time loop.

DIA 23 - Noite dos Pinheiros

Por ter sido uma viagem não planejada, Alexandra tem mais liberdade para escolher o que vai vestir. As referências de Devil (@maodcfada ) para compor os looks para os eventos de final de ano foram as glórias militares do exército austaliano, a própria casa de Lancaster - conhecida por sua linhagem de grandes generais (é mentira? Sim, os Lancaster australianos são conhecidos pela covardia, mas nada que não possa ser reescrito comprando alguns historiadores), e família Versace, já que todas as peças fazem parte de coleções feitas pela grife.

DIA 24 - Baile de Natal

Apesar de ultrajade com as imposições de Jaques Lefrèvre para os trajes para o baile, como um bom convidade, Alexandra seguiu as orientações, mas do jeito delu. Roupa de gala do século xvii com calça e botas, o esperado de um nobre cavalheiro do período, com a coroa para lembrar a Lefrèvre sua posição, ainda que estivesse fora de seu reino.

DIA 23 - Sessão de Fotos

Para o dia da foto, as duas coisas que mais representam a Austrália, os Versace, através de um dos vestidos mais icônicos feito por Giancarlo Versace, o ouro e o luxo, uma vez que a Gold Coast tem esse nome não apenas pelo sol abundante, mas também por ser um dos países mais ricos do pós-guerra.

DIA 31 - Ano Novo

Nas festividades do Ano Novo, a rainha optou pelo tradicional branco e dourado das tradições australiana para o evento, surpreendendo ao usar a famosa coroa de ouro rosé de 24 quilates e diamantes ecologicamente corretos produzidos em Melbourne, pelas empresa da família Lancaster para comemorar a independência do reino. A peça é envolta em polêmica, já que costumava a pertencer a finada rainha Elizabeth York, após anos de disputa pela posse da joia com Victoria Lancaster, as atual rainha mãe. Acreditava-se que a peça havia desapacido no dia do assassinato dos York, mas, aparentemente, a coroa possui um novo proprietário.
