» FMEO 22. - dinner date (mostly written)

you took a deep breath to calm your nerves, shutting your phone off and laying it in your lap. you felt a hand rest on your shoulder and you turned to see your older sister smiling at you. her smile gave you a sense of comfort, she was always able to calm you down and that's what you loved about her.

"don't be nervous, you'll have a great time. come on, you know you've got this." yeji cheered you on, boosting your level of confidence. it was always nice to hear any encouragement from her and just knowing that she was there to support you made you feel better.

"thank you, unnie. i'll let you know how it goes, you'll be the first." you respond with a soft smile. "dont tell ryujin unnie, she'll throw a fit" your sister lets out a snigger because she knew that was something her girlfriend would do, despite her being the older sibling.

"alright now, stop stalling. don't make your girl wait for you." she shooed you out of her car and waved goodbye as she drove off.

you admired the exterior of the restaurant and felt suddenly intimidated by the fanciness of the place. you walked toward the restaurant, eyeing the pairs and couples that were exiting together, wondering if you and yunjin would look that happy by the time your date came to an end.

a kind gentleman held the door for you and you thanked him before walking in. you thought the outside looked fancy, but this inside was a whole other story. the glass chandelier lit the main entrance and gave a very soft and subtly vibe to the place. it was a very different experience compared to what you're used to as your not really the fancy type (but anything for yunjin).

your attention was called by a hostess. "excuse me miss, welcome in! do you have a reservation for tonight?" she asked with her hands clasped together.

"ah, yes. w-well actually i'm meeting someone here." you internally facepalmed at your embarrassing stutter even though the hostess probably didn't even notice.

"oh sure, what was the name for the reservation?"

"huh yunjin." the worker searched through the names of all the people would had made reservations.

"here, looks like they've checked in. i'll take you right to the table, right this way miss!" you followed the hostess who made her way through the tables, soon reaching a table by the window.

"alright, take a seat and we'll come back shortly." she left you standing there, and the table was occupied by a brunette girl in a blue dress. just like how it looked in her post, except she was even more beautiful in person.

for a moment it felt like the world paused as she turned at the sound of the hostess' footsteps and gave the prettiest grin you had ever seen when she saw you awkwardly standing there. yunjin cleared her throat and scratched her neck while you kept admiring her beauty.

"uh... are you planning on taking a seat?," yunjin chuckled, "i want to start our date as soon as possible!" she exclaimed, her eyes closing because of her widening smile and she was starting to resemble a cute happy puppy.

you felt your hands shaking in nervousness as you took your spot across from her. you sat quietly, just avoiding her eyes by looking at everything other than her which she noticed, but it only made her happier knowing she could take the lead now.

"don't be shy, look at me." the tone in yunjin's voice alone was enough to make you blush profusely. she was being so confident which was something you weren't, especially on dates with pretty girls. you decided to listen to her anyways, figuring that it was a date after all and you couldn't just waste your time together fangirling silently.

though she didn't show it at all, holding eye contact with you may have been the hardest thing ever because she was usually the awkward one and she was freaking out just as much as you. yunjin wanted to say something as the silence was loud, but she felt like there was no need to say anything as it was also a comforting kind of silence

"you're really pretty." the words leave your mouth before you can even process that you said it. "ah... i don't know why i said that out loud. i guess because i'm so nervous, my mind isn't working right." you explain, turning to the side to gently hit your head, hoping it would wake up and start functioning. your actions made yunjin laugh.

"thank you. you also look very pretty, if not more than me."

"impossible. you're much prettier, yunjin." her heart skipped a beat hearing you say her name. she was falling hard already and she could imagine how deep she'll be when she gets to know every detail about you.

"why are you nervous? do i make you nervous?" she asked teasingly just to see your face turn pink again.

"no! well, you do but that's beside the point. i'm actually nervous because i've been really been to such a fancy restaurant before." you admit.

yunjin's eyebrows shot up. "really?" you hum in response, studying the expressions of the girl. "so i get to be your first?" she lowers her head to hide how her face beamed after you nodded to her question.

"yep, you get to be my first fancy date!" you smile and reach for her hand that was resting on top of the table, holding in yours. "and i'm really glad that you are."

But as time passed you also meet Kiri's siblings, growing a special interest for Lo'ak <33

Soon enough you both find yourselves to be bonding, growing closer as you joined his reckless adventures

Then when Lo'ak realized he was, in fact, growing feelings for you

It had him confused.. And probably became distant w you to make sure what he was feeling was true and it wasn't some kind of stupid spur of the moment type feelings

It led to you being confused as well, why was he suddenly ignoring you all of a sudden? It kinda hurt

Lo'ak then decided to open up to his sister, Kiri, about you after a few weeks

After Lo'ak was done explaining, Kiri smacked him on the head

"Lo'ak you are probably the dumbest person I know at this moment, why don't you just go tell her how you feel!"

Bc Kiri also knows you like Lo'ak but she can't be too obvious

"(Y/N), I have to tell you something."

You had feared that you did something that made him this distant from you, or was he going to tell you that your feelings for him were too obvious and that he couldn't be with you because of the obvious difference? Or was it maybe because he just doesn't like hanging out with you anymore-

"I'm sorry I was ignoring you, I did not mean to.. Its just.. Okay here," He hands you a flower almost bigger than the size of your hand, but it was pretty

You still join him, but you could feel that he was now hesitant w his actions, afraid that you could get hurt from his recklessness

You reassure him that he doesn't have to worry abt you and you could handle it, just like old times

He knows that but STILL

Whenever he spots a scratch on you he'd be taking you to Kiri, asking to put that special ointment that she uses on him and Neteyam whenever they get hurt from doing something stupid

"Put it on her, I don't want it getting infected"

"Wow, since when did you become a doctor, Lo'ak?"

With every adventure you took with him, Lo'ak makes sure to pick up a bead every time to remember the moment

Bc he's going to make you a bracelet w it <33

When he finishes it and he gives it to you, he almost fell in love again w the look of adoration on your face as you thanked him over and over as you hugged him (yes he was carrying you or else you'd be hugging his leg 💀)

You never took it off and you even proudly showed it off in the lab and w his family, making him a blushy shy mess

Took you to ride on his Ikran once and he loved that you weren't afraid, but you were still clinging onto him while admiring the beauty of the Hallelujah Mountains

For Lo'ak, he can handle pda

No, he loves it

In a way he's reminded that you aren't ashamed to be with him and vice versa

He swears he's abt to go wild when you hold his pinky in public

When you both are free and hanging out in the lab he loves comparing hand sizes

And loves having your finger on his face, tracing his stripes

Its the small moments w you two that he treasures the most

He knew that you were the one, even if you were human, nothing's going to stop him from loving you

honestly ragatha is like a big sister to the others imo, especially to the reader in a lot of platonic stuff ive written for her, and i think this would stand true here!

whether or not you two are actually siblings or not; she treats you just like one, bonus points if you have the rag doll aesthetic!

true to the original dolls, youre more feisty and tend to get into trouble whereas ragatha is sweeter and tries to get you out of whatever shenanigan youve put yourself into

honestly youve probably said something rather crass and ragatha has to like, apologize for you to minimize any drama or whatever

ragatha probably tries to straighten up your hair and clothing, much to your annoyance, you wish to look rough and "manly"!

but its a sweet gesture none the less, and you dont have the heart to tell her to cut it out

not a day passes where ragatha doesnt try to hype you up, be it to just yourself or to the others, shes probably going to try to get you the attention you deserve

wherever you are, ragatha is likely to be close by; and where ragatha is, you're nearby as well

you two work together during IHAs, i think, sometimes working together well while other times butting heads

normal sibling stuff, you know?

im meshing all the renditions of andy together, but i do think the movie version is the most popular... however, i can see some friendly sibling teasing/banter taking place between the two of you

and in light of fun stuff i'd love to hear your thoughts on, saw a post a while back that got me thinking and basically reached the conclusion that carlos and lando's personalities complimented each other perfectly, which in a way brought out the best in both of them, while lando and daniel have very clashing personalities (not that they didn't get along eventually, just very different). meanwhile lando and oscar's personalities just like. match.

seen people say lando is to oscar what carlos was to him and in a way, yes (oscar clearly does look up to lando a bit and lando took the brunt of the media stuff in the beginning to make him more comfortable), but i also think there is a pretty big difference there. landoscar just feel very aligned to me idk. would like to hear what your opinions are :) think you always have good takes

so i left this for a couple days bc its literally been slow cooking in my brain like a stew... thinking abt this so much. u bring such a good point abt the difference between complementing and aligning / matching...

i often find it rly fun to look at friendships and relationships thru the lens of sibling dynamics - its my own personal brand of astrology or ig personality typology that im addicted to. and w carlos and lando i think the reason they 'complemented' each other so well was bc they very easily fell into an older-younger sibling dynamic - both r middle children, and idk the exact numbers but carlos should probably be around oli's age (landos older brother, who lando's rly close to, arguably the closest of all his siblings - not only did they used to travel for karting competitions back in the day, but nowadays they share a core friend group and go on holiday together, which is cute). so like, lando as a 19 year old rookie, shy but full of energy, is in the perfect position to be lightly bullied, shown the ropes, taught random shit, be shoved into walls, etc by someone who likes to play within that older brother role

so you have that first of all, which already creates some familiarity for lando (who otherwise is quite slow to thaw out of keeping ppl at arms length), and also the fact that they got along w each other quite easily. i dont think theyre that similar (again, complement, not match, its so brilliant), but theyre both entertained by quite simple things, which is y their humour tended to be so lowest-common-denominator: words that sound funny, hitting each other in the balls, dirty jokes, etc. i think where they DO find similarities is when theyre serious - they both have a very head-down team-first sort of attitude (which i think rly solidified in lando BC of carlos), so their trust in each other in terms of that helped make their more personal friendship rly straightforward and natural

daniel meanwhile... where do i start. i spent two years losing my mind in dms over the glorious trainwreck awkwardness that is dando and their interactions. i still cant QUITE parse it but its so good. u have lando whos used to having quite a reactive/passive friendship with carlos, suddenly putting his feet on the ground and his shackles up bc he stopped liking the directions he was being pushed in w daniel. i think daniel deffo is a big, domineering personality, naturally kind of selfish (youngest sibling AND im pretty sure the only boy) (im not judging him im also the youngest i can reclaim), and to keep it concise i think it kind of gave lando the ick.

lando is a very judgemental person, and his humour is quite specific - he'll laugh at the dumbest things ever, like the word 'blowy' or 'pubes' or jokes abt girls running away from him, AND also rly subtle sarcasm that takes a lot of context clues. but he just cannot operate within the middle ground: the typical snl-style (american type) classic humour. he just doesnt get it. when ppl try to do it with him u get things like 'lando i hope you're sitting down... you're p2' 'i don't know why will said that, i'm literally strapped to my seat' and 'throwback thursday' 'it's funny cos it's friday'. he sucks at metaphors and doesnt have patience to wait for punchlines, so the fact that daniel is kind of like universally 'classically' funny actually worked against him - especially bc daniel was fuelled w the confidence that lando liked him and found him hilarious

so thats actually the other thing - is daniels incapability of actually listening to lando. again, we kind of start from the standard of the carlos relationship, with lando as the reactor, but carlos was always rly attentive towards lando. and then daniel comes in - u have lando like a dog who figured out ur trying to exit the park and has suddenly refused to keep walking along, and daniel holding an endlessly extendable leash, whistling a little tune, completely oblivious that his dog is still like three streets down. lando was throwing him jab after jab after joke after joke for like the entirety of 2021 ('they just dig up jam' forever my favourite), but they would just fly over daniels head, making lando become more and more detached and disinterested in interactions w daniel. waaaay into their partnership as teammates, theres this video of lando telling daniel that theyre serving cookies (?) somewhere, and daniel says 'so you got a brownie?' and i think lando says smth like 'nah a cookie, not a brownie, otherwise i wouldve said brownies', to which daniel is like 'i respect that, you're finally dishing it back'. and i rmbr my reaction was like FINALLY ? WYM FINALLY?? hes BEEN doing this for SO LONG like ALL THE TIME now.

idk, its weird bc opinions r rly split on dando, some ppl in yt comments or reddit or whatever still say they were the funniest duo in f1, but other ppl will always pipe up saying the energy was awkward and it was clear they didnt like each other. neither of those things r true for me - i think they did like each other, especially later on (professionally, i think lando definitely had a lot of anxieties abt having to outperform the big new top dog in the team, which made him a bit colder, but i think he gained a lot of respect for daniel when he saw how much daniel was struggling but how much he was still willing to show up and do the whole job until the end w a smile on his face). i have a suspicion they probably get along way better 1 on 1, bc a lot of daniel's off-putting intensity happens when he tries to play up for the cameras. but i am also partly thankful for that too, bc we had a couple art challenges in 2021-2022 where daniel did all the talking, so lando could focus on having fun with his Little Tasks, and thats literally my fav type of mclaren video, so cheers danny.

so then we get to oscar. i think the main difference with oscar is that, for the first time, lando doesnt have a bigger personality imposing itself on him. if he used to b reactive with carlos and daniel, oscar is way more laid back and passive than him, which means lando is finally for the first time the one setting the pace. especially in the early days, this was obvious - lando would throw out the beginning of a bad joke, expecting to be interrupted or one-upped, but oscar would just sit there quietly creature-staring, waiting for lando to finish his train of thought. it was so awkwardly delightful. so what u get now is that lando isnt playing catch up anymore - which doesnt mean hes making oscar do it now. on the contrary, what ive found is that lando brings his personality to oscar-volume, which sounds like it would be dull but it so isnt. again, he thrives in quiet subtlety, and so does oscar, so u get videos like the finish the lyrics where u have to turn the volume all the way up to even hear what theyre saying, but its so worth it bc its SO fun once u do.

in terms of matching, theyre definitely quite similar in terms of humour. both of them love the awkward pauses and jim halpert looking into the camera and eye rolls and deadpan. it took a while to find their rhythm w two of them playing the same joke-role and not having a straight man (comedy term!!) to bounce off of, but i think they figured it out. theyre different enough in terms of family dynamics (oscar is an eldest brother w many sisters, but also younger than lando) that neither of them would fit a pre-made space, so they can just kinda be on equal level to each other. this is especially true since theyve grown up in the same circles - never raced each other directly, but lando moved up categories rly fast, which means oscar spent his late teens mostly racing ppl lando was racing in karting and early single seaters. (most significantly, max fewtrell, who oscar used to b in the junior renault academy with, and who i think is kind of a good representation of what lando and oscar have in common - lowkey, sarcastic, deadpan, but also not taking himself too seriously)

to come back to what u said abt oscar-lando being inverse lando-carlos: i also see it to some extent, like u said (theres those tiktok edit parallels like lando telling oscar to cut his hair the way carlos said it to him in 2019). i think its mostly something lando himself is conscious of and sort of imposes on himself - he often compares oscar's personal trajectory to his, like when he says oscar will open up and be less quiet once he gets comfortable (which was true), so i think hes deffo aware of the comparison. but i dont think it runs any deeper than that, bc i havent seen lando position himself as the same kind of mentor-guru in-the-know older figure. i just dont think his personality can mould to that

idk sorry for this novel size answer. i have even more thoughts abt oscar and lando that im currently trying to shove into a fic so like. all of this has been floating in my brain for ages now

i did say on one of my posts that i would run away crying if he were real (and i stand by that bc omg...) but i do feel safe to let him into my house soley bc id like to think that bro does not mean any harm 😭like the dude literally got sacrificed against his own will and now has no choice but to only eat kidneys bc he cant stomach human food!!!

if i were to go with my shapeshifting blob ej headcanon, he would probably be like a house cat....... except he just brings in organs as offerings like how cats bring in dead mice as gifts

Like, it's clearly a point of pain for you so you probably won't read this with the sympathetic tone it's intended for, but... its worrying that the way you talk about 'tme' people is indistinguishable from the way terfs talk about men. Is that really who you want to be ideological bedfellows with?

Like you're obviously angry and hurting, but treating fellow trans and non binary people like your outgroup because it's an easy punching bag isn't the way to fix that. It just alienates and isolates you from your trans siblings and prevents you from sharing your trans joy with the people who value it the most.

I guess it's just kind of heartbreaking to see you hold such hatred for your siblings when the reality is that conservatives don't and won't make a meaningful distinction when they're putting us all to the firing squad.

when the fuck did i ever treat tme people like an outgroup. anon are you fucking stupid? me recognizing the privilege tme individuals hold over my tma siblings and the way i and others have been fucking threatened and socially outcast for even talking about tme/tma as words by tme individuals is not disparaging a whole group of people. ive literally never been "angry and hurting" towards tme people, but these transandro truthers are literally misogynistic and closer to neonazis than my trans sisters.

Skye was the first one I made I think (actually it might’ve been Rico (florid) but eh oh well who’s counting)

But yes this is Skye Ashengrotto!

They’re my older Jamiazu kid, I do have two. The younger one is my octo boy Akram :) he’s funny I wanna pinch his cheeks but he’s not the point here

So Skye! It feels weird publically infodumping abt my OCs like wtf am I even supposed to put here

They’re a half mer, which do work a lil different than normal mers in my lore. Half mers can transform without a potion but it’s still a long and generally painful process, esp going from mer to human. I kind of switch between calling them a snake mer and a naga but there’s lore there- Nagas exist in my lore outside of sea snake mers, there are also fully terrestrial Nagas. So the terrestrial nagas wouldn’t be considered snake mers but the sea snake nagas would be a type of mer while also still being a naga ITS CONFUSING DONT ASK (actually do. Ask everything so I can roll more of my fankids out like marbles)

Skye was created by a spell, I haven’t quite worked the details out 😔 but Jamil is part gorgon in my lore which is why they have the hair snakes which isn’t a typical naga trait. And to elaborate on the hair snakes: they are alive, the one w the bigger stripes is Flora and the smaller stripes is Jett. Skye can communicate w them telepathically and their eyes glow which is kinda neat. They’re kind of Skye’s version of floatsam and jetsam (unless u count Rico (florid) and Lilac (treyjade) which is like their ver of the twins- IDK ITS COMPLICATED)

idk what else to put here so LETS THROW SOME FHARACTER DYNAMICS YEAH and also mentioning some of my other fankids! They all have profiles (except my Malleus kid I’m sorry Aihan I can’t think of a design for you) but I’m probably gonna save those for another post-

So jamiazu in my lore live in the Shaftlands in a beachfront place and also live pretty close to Treyjade, however Florid live in the Queendom. The octatrio and their spouses is a close group so they’re essentially a big family. My treyjade kids are Maren (older) and Lilac, then my Florid kids are Rico (older) and the twins Mary and Eliza.

Skye saw Lilac more as a kid cuz they lived so close together but also saw Rico a lot when flrd would visit or they’d go to visit them. Rico is an agent of chaos and Lilac is Skye’s 2nd in command so their dynamic on a surface level is pretty similar to the octatrio, but there’s still a lot of differences once u get into the meat of it. Tho Lilac and Rico are Skye’s best friends and basically like siblings to them.

Outside of jamiazu Skye is particularly close with Jade, they share a love of tea :) he’s their cool but also slightly unsettling uncle

THEN THERES SHENZI- Shenzi is my younger kaliruggie kid and I am not gonna get into her here bcuz she rlly needs her own post w all her trauma but good lord these two do not like each other. Shenzi’s really nice but she’s not quite as nice as Kalim so after about 5 months of trying and failing to befriend Skye in their freshman year she just gave up and now their relationship is nothing but hostile (which was not helped when Shenzi and lilac started dating)

Speaking of that tho- so my idikei kids :) Ember (named after the pokemon attack) is the older one and he’s basically that “Jock idia can’t hurt you he’s not real Jock idia:” thing as a person he has the Fire hair n shit but he plays basketball and is heavily extroverted but no one gives a shit abt Ember this is NOT ABT HIM this is abt his sister! Her name is Zelda because you know Idia would name his daughter Zelda- she got all of Idia’s social anxiety lmao. She’s extremely shy and there’s a total of like 4 people in the school she can actually talk to without melting into a small stain on the floor. She’s an Skye are both in board games club and sometime in early freshman year she falls on her ass and knocks over a bunch of stuff which Skye happens to witness and cue the most awkward interaction known to man bcuz Skye can’t talk to pretty girls and Zelda can’t talk to ANYONE but they end up walking to the mirror hall together afterwards which becomes a routine. Except they’re both awkward as fuck take like almost two fucking years to get together bcuz neither of them are gonna do anything abt it BUT THEYRE VERY CUTE!! I love them

Also my ashengrotto siblings are very wholesome I need to write some stuff w them- Akram is a little shit and he loves pissing Skye off but at the end of the day he admires them and Skye loves their brother a lot :)

Anyway good lord I’ve yapped too much okay OH YEAH Skye has a Russian blue cat named Mariana who they just fucking found on the side of the road and thought it was a mouse so for like 2 years Azul thought Skye was gonna eat the cat

Turns out, the only robot that wasn't trying to maul our faces off is good ole Freddicson Fazbearington. But, as if the universe is our 3rd grade enemy, Freddy runs like a goddamn iphone battery.

I could only hope that we made it our here, no fees, no community service, or even trouble on our hands. I couldn't even hop for that- the damn things were trying to kill us!

If wishing wasnt doing anything, me and my little brother will. We'll make it home safe, no scratches, no suspicion. Nothing will be damaged, no one will be harmed.

But the security was breached, leaving a radically chaotic fire in its wake by the start of the morning.

college au is like. i couldnt tell u their specific majkrs but im sure ill have it at some point.

gabriel in regards to classes-he definitely prioritizes them. honestly if he had less abysmal habits and less of a habit of thinking too hard about his answers he could be better off. no doubt like hes a Good Stufent and he does well but he stresses himself out along w really (jnrealistic) high expectations he holds himself up to. def the gifted kid growing up. A and B student. sometimes a c writhes its way in there.

in regards to people- he loooooooves helping people. he loves hearing the Ohhhhh of a sudden understanding of a concept that he got to explain. very friendly and well liked but not wholly Cared about..hes used a lot just for his smarts, and like outside of helping tutor other folks theres not a lot going on socially. except for communication btwn him and his uncles(which i like to picture are the councillors. very religious family. like Crazy religious.)gabriel probably has some internalized homo/transphobia somewhere in there but he has an arc about that.

mirage and her classes - Makes half assed attempts to study in my mind, she puts her mind to it, pulls out a textbook reviews her notes etc … eventually grows bored, experiences the autism frustration of not having completed a task, and ends up in a nihilistic spiral while I Think listening to music. or texting a friend. she wouldnt admit it but music is a passion of hers. Dont tell anyone but i like to think she daydreams abiut starting a band.

mirage and her social life - she probably has a small circle of friends that are just a total fucking tar pit. she stands where she stands and they disagree sometimes but in the end none of this matters and we might as well hang out after class. actually do you wanna skip next period? etc. shes hard to get along with just because shes so horribly negative but i dont think shes outright rude. maybe has a passive aggressive or underlying tone but i dont think she means it. because none of it matters.

v2 and classes - very hard worker! vigilant and pays attention. snaps at you if youre distracting her. her bag is a bit of a total fucking mess but she’,ll get those papers after the test.( never gets the papers). She gets particularly pissed when people take their sweet sweet time moving around campus. she knows just what to say to get an extended deadline if shed ever need it. i think she has very organized notebooks themselves but again. bags a mess. dorm’s a mess. i think shed find a way to get a single dorm.

v2 and people - gets along relatively well, makes some MEAN small talk and fantastic at making a deal. no close friends though, primarily just acquaintances she waves at and asks how theyre doing.. thats about it. tries to have fun on her own.

v1 in classes - THIS FUCKING GUY. i cannot decide whether it would have straight A’s on accident or straight F’s while knowing the material SCARILY well. what i do know is it would never take notes it would never study its living a life and having fun. not a frat boy or anything tho i dont grt those vibes.

v1 with people - i dont think it has friends though on account kf It Doesnt Really Talk and a lot of other mchines dont bother to Bother with a guy who refuses to really talk. unintentionally rude somehow. creeps ppl out with the unbroken eye contact even as its doing an intensive task. verrrry expressive with bodylang though as if youve got the patience you can get a crazy convo going. like its unintentionally rude but i think its well meaning. unless if its v2. they happened to go to the same college and they have a sibling rivalry. if these two have no friends then theyve got eachother. to bully and tease.

aries-- i dated one of these. really adorable and chipper people who tend to be overachievers/dont like to settle for less. they show their affection by teasing/making fun of you. theyre socute.

taurus-- horribly nice. forgives and doesnt forget; they give you a thousand second chances so once you use them up youre done lol. all earth signs are funny also. my little sibling is this one.

gemini-- dont know a whole lot of these ones. they really want you to think theyre cute. mutable signs are weirdos also; this one is probably the most normie out of all of them. i also dated one of these.

cancer-- i get along so well with cancer, this is my besties sign. they are friendly and will make you think they like you a lot, but youd be surprised how spiteful they actually are. cancers are full of hate

leo-- leos are not always outgoing, a lot of them are shy. the thing about leos being generous to make themselves look better is true. they are loving but will always love themselves more. my dad is one

virgo-- my sign and i know a lot, and im dating one. virgos are fucking weird. really smart and prone to going down rabbit holes. bigtime haters. they have a problem with getting defensive.

libra-- had a toxic friendship with one of these. that said, i actually dont know a lot of these, so sorry </3

scorpio-- people overrate these, they arent all that dark and brooding. (just a little bit.) taurus gets the stubborn reputation but scorpio deserves it too. also, very romantic people. im dating one.

sagittarius-- my mom is one and i knew several. intelligent and curious people, very silly. arguing with these is a pain in the ass. sag moons are delightful and they suck super bad at texting back.

capricorn-- i love these guys. very funny, melancholic, and they can come across as unapproachable bc theyre great at pretending to have their shit together.

aquarius-- tend to be popular. aquas are friendly and clever, also have a teasing sense of humor. they are interesting but hard to get close to, so i dont have a lot to say about them

pisces-- my sister sign, so i tend to find these and have a unique connection w them. funny, introspective, the type you can get lost in conversation with. you have to be very careful with them because they get hurt easily.

i am going to dump a bit of lore on your doorstep (by copy and pasting smth i wrote on discord a few days ago) so i can give context to something i have drawn

disclaimer: it may be long and wordy. but thats what its all about baby

"in short i finally figured out how Arthur gets their name.

so to preface this i must offer. context. be warned this is gonna be one of those Rambles.

before we begin, i am debating on whether or not i should keep the 'arthur possessing gidget' thing, change it to where they possess chip (?), or get rid of it... my reasoning being: i think it makes more sense for arthur to be closer to chip especially cuz they end up as siblings in the end, ALSO i dont remember why gigi had to be the one that was possessed and i think the story would work just fine if it was somebody else.

in fact itd probably work even better with chip not only bc the theming of Being In The Wrong Body and everyone claiming u r somebody youre not works even better if its with chip, it also works cuz chip in the story is frequently like... whats the word. overlooked. or not taken seriously.

but anyways:

two, there is a plot point sometime during chip & gidget's stay in the castelle manor in which everyone but chip is trapped inside a dream by moonlight (in the waking world they are all asleep & cant wake up) bc she is searching their dreams in order to find Arthur (and kill them)

hopefully that doesnt sound. too convoluted. ah. anyways. something something chip teams up w arthur to enter their dreams and wake them up. i think.

i think probably arthur was either forced into going w chip or he agreed relunctantly, but (assuming he is still possessing someone) chip asks arthur if they can see his real face. and he agrees but in a way that makes it clear he is Lying

they wake up in (.....i dont think i have a solid name for this place yet. i think i called it Space 2 in my lore doc for the bit but i think itll be called 'otherside')

and Arthur just looks like a weird version of [whoever they were possessing at the time.] chip comments on it and art's like 'oh you mean my REAL REAL face yeah ok let me. um.' (they change into an exact copy of chip.) 'Better?'

at this point it is becoming clear that arthur might not have a 'real face,' but chip doesnt know that yet

meanwhile there is some chatter between the two, w arthur passively explaining who Midnight and Moonlight are. ALSO there is a fun fact i think about moonlight canonically having a preference for Women & that Arthur's pre-death appearance was modelled after the first human woman. i think. at one point they get onto the topic of art and chip asks Arthur if they like to draw, in which they respond: 'no.' Riveting.

something something climactic point where arthur breaks down and finally admits that they dont have a body, dont have any of their powers, and they cant even remember what theyre supposed to look like. he says that he feels useless!

& then chip says something like 'you dont have to have powers to like. create stuff.'

and then they draw together :]

chip agrees to help give him a "new face" so to speak by drawing him a FURSONA (it is a JACKRABBIT with a RAINCOAT AND UMBRELLA and an EYEPATCH and like. epic scars. and two swords. and a pet dolphin & demon wings. and other convoluted detailed design elements akin to that of a sparkledog) which they lovingly name 'Arthur.' (maybe w a last name like 'skullcrusher' or soemthing)

and arthur like draws his own version of that. which is Close to what Arthur's design is currently. & he's like 'yeah. so um. uhh. close your eyes i cant do it while youre looking.'

(chip puts their paws over their eyes.) 'um ok! what are you doing?'

'im gonna show you the real me.'

& then he looks like the character he drew."

Matt's been acting weird ever since they got back to their hotel and nows they're trying to pack up peacefully but Matt's attitude isn't helping.

"Matt just tell me whats wrong, Why do you have to be so frustrating" Nick almost yells.

Matt freezes at this and looks at Nick with a slightly hurt expression and runs to the bathroom and locks himself him. Why wont he just tell him whats wrong? They tell each other everything. Did he do something wrong?

"Matty please.." He pleads while sitting outside the bathroom door

Hearing the pleading tone in his younger brothers voice made him feel a tad bit guilty so he unlocked the door but didn't open it and returned to his previous position .

Once Nick heard the door unlock he took that as his cue to walk in.

The sight he saw before him made his heartbreak. He saw matt curled up in a ball beside the toilet with stray tears running down his pretty face, looking up at him desperately with his boo boo eyes.

"Please tell me whats got you acting like this?" Nick asked him as gently as he could while bending down infront of his older brother.

"W-why did you let her touch you like that" He whispered

"Who" Nick asked genuinally confused

"The girl we ran into while going shopping Nick dont act stupid" He said not even looking Nick in the eye

"The worker? Matt she was just talking to us about the shoes, why does it bother you so much?" He says standing up a little annoyed

"Nick she was FLIRTING WITH YOU, IDIOT" Matt yelled getting even more upset wiping his tears

About 2 hours ago the bucks went shopping, When they were looking for new shoes one of the workers came up and totally started hitting on Nick but Nick is god damn oblivious he didn't even think about her carressing his arm or looking up at him fluttering her eyelashes but Matt did. Plus she didn't even glance at him, she was a bitch.

'Matt you're jealous" Nick stated coming to a conclusion

"Well no shit sherlock thanks for pointing out the obvious" matt replied

"Aww Matt you know im yours, you dont needa be jealous, Im sorry darling, i didn't realise she got that close" Nicks apolagizes before hugging him

He picks matt up from off the floor, brings him to bed, sits him down and stands infront of him

"But you're not going to get away with this attitude you've been pulling Matt, You've been acting like a little bitch ever since e got back. You dont trust me huh?" he says to him looking him straight in the eye, using his finger to lift his chin up

Nick knows what Matt really want, its obvious he knows his brother better than he knows himself and he can also tell because of dent in Matts pants. Of course he's going to give it to him, but not without a few punishments.

Matt freezes

"Nick i-" He tries

"Nuh uh that aint gonna fly here. Strip."

"Nick W-what?" He tries again

''What you want a audience or something? Taking your effing clothes of Matt" he orders him watching him closely

"Well i mean-" He laughs slighty before standing up to remove his shirt, then his pants, and underwears and puts them to the side then goes to stand infront of his brother and waits for his next order like a good boy would.

Yes I am a minor myself, but I absolutely refuse to write smut about minors. I don't care about age-ups. It would probably depend on who it is whether I write it or not.

Also, I have a few personal guidelines/self-imposed rules I tend to follow when writing oneshots.

I personally dislike when a "oneshot" is spanned across multiple parts or has multiple parts even after the conclusion. It's not exactly a oneshot at that point, as least by my personal view. I've feeling so many emotions. They're all so relationship constipated god bless em. When mumbo and grian were joking about their single braincell ping-ponging between each other when they're hanging out all i could think of was "no its pingponging between every single person in this building." none of them know how to interact with each other god. God the CHARACTER INTERACTIONS. the way the entire infirmary scene parallels the opening where Grian leaves to now, where Mumbo is basically confirming he wants him to stay. I am feeling so soft about them. I love them so much. AH

the pearl and grian scene is my baby,,, that's the oldest part of this new chapter, probably done in late october. I wanted them to feel authentically sibling like and also i had just started watching pearl more often so i had a good grasp on her voice! I'm glad it didn't lose its spark (heh) after so much editing around it. I was so excited to finally write her beyond a few sparse lines
