BAKUGOU KATSUKI ✰ 10:32
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You tell Bakugou once that you don’t know how to take the train home, and he almost blasted your ears off with semi-yelling (or full-on yelling at some point) insults.
“Hah?” He scoffs, eyes narrowing. This information is new to him, and a surprising one at that.
You? The nerd that always bested him when it came to academics, which pissed him off the first few months in U.A.? The person who was not only book smart but was street and people smart as well?
The whole goddamn package doesn’t know how to take the train?
Really?
He’s calling bull.
“What do you mean you don’t know how to take the train home? What kind of idiot doesn’t know that?”
“I just—“ you’re abashed and really don’t know what to say, “I didn’t really— I’ve never had the chance to take one until now!” For a consistent honors student, you can’t really have everything, can you?
“How’ve you been getting to school and back, then?”
“We had a driver—“
“Fuckin’ course—“
“But hey! Listen—in my defense—my schools were usually a walking distance from our house.”
“And now what? Gonna stand here and wait for a miracle to happen?”
You nudge his side with a frustrated frown (more like a pout, Bakugou thinks.) “Quit it, asshole.”
He backtracks briefly, though you could barely tell at this point. And it’s clear enough that he takes your words into consideration. It could be the fact that you actually look scared shitless right now, something foreign to your typical lax and carefree persona.
“C’mon.” Bakugou grabs you by the arm.
“Ow— hey! Where are we going?”
“You have to learn somehow, or else you’ll look fuckin’ clueless and dumb, nerd.”
You don’t argue because you really just wanted to get home, and while you could just call in your driver, you considered that this was important information that would help you in the long run. Besides, you do agree with Bakugou that not knowing how to commute like this is embarrassing, especially at your age.
“What’s this?”
Bakugou hands you a card. It’s decorated with a minimalist logo of Musutafu’s native flower, whose color is your favorite.
“An IC card,” he simply answers.
It’s cute, you thought. You noticed how the other commuters had the standard design, so Bakugou must've gotten it personalized to your preference. How thoughtful.
“You could’ve just helped me get a ticket, though,” you murmur. You fiddle with the card in your hand, glancing at him with a puzzled expression. “I don’t think I’ll be using this card that often. It’ll be a waste.”
“Then try and use it as often as you can, nerd.”
“I’ll pay you back for this—how much was it?”
“Forget it.”
“Really, Bak—“
“Forget it,” he barks. “Keep up, you shitty extra. Or else you’d miss the last train to your station.” Bakugou starts walking, and you follow suit.
You can load your IC card at the ticket machines or the nearest ATMs. Different stations call for different ticket gates that obviously have different fares. The expiration of cards usually depends on what provider you got them from—
“What do I do now?”
You’re hesitantly in front of the ticket gate, with Bakugou on the other side. You’re like a kid who’s lost their mother in the mall.
“Just—“ Bakugou had to take a deep breath and not make a scene in the train station. He pinched the bridge of his nose, calling for all his ancestors to give him the strength to remain patient.
“Place your shitty card on the card reader. That’s it.”
You do as you’re taught, and you awed when the gates opened and let yourself walk through with a stupidly big smile on your face. “I did it!”
Bakugou thinks it’s fucking stupid of him to think that your enthusiasm for mundane things was cute. But fuck, something must be wrong with him because suddenly he feels a flurry of butterflies lodged in his throat, his heart beating ridiculously fast.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
He gives you directions, how to navigate through Musutafu without getting lost, and the basic stations you’ll be passing by to get to your station. He sees you type most of the things he says on your phone, and the way you were so eager to learn was a sight to see, really.
Boarding the metro, people were just as eager to get home as you two. So you two stood, not that there was much room to do anything about it.
“Hold onto the handle unless you want to fall on your ass,” Bakugou says. His tone is hushed to not disturb the other passengers. At least he followed basic commuting etiquette.
“It’s so beautiful,” you breathe out. The passing buildings were as huge as those of U.A.’s, if not bigger. With the golden hue of the apparent descent of the sun below the horizon, Musutafu just became more beautiful in your eyes.
He scoffs.
“What’s so interestin’ about a buncha tacky buildings? Never seen one before you came here?”
“Of course I have; they’re just not like this.”
Bakugou follows your line of sight, and he thinks about it carefully. He couldn’t see what you saw, but maybe it’s because he grew up looking at this scenery. It doesn’t amaze him as much as it did when he was younger, he concludes. To you, this was a first.
An experience that could become a core memory in this city. And he’s with you as you live through it. The thought causes a familiar feeling of pride to exude from his chest.
Maybe he’ll learn to appreciate more mundane things with you too in the future.
The train stops at another station, and the people scurry out. Once in motion, you were surprised by the speed when it took off, and the motion had you stumbling back. You stumble against Bakugou.
“What did I say about keeping a firm hold on the handles, you shitty extra? That’s what those are for.” Whether it’s by instinct or unintentional, Bakugou guides your hand to hold onto the support pole. He doesn’t let go, and you didn’t make a comment about it.
“Sorry! Still getting used to it,” you quietly laugh. “I hope the people here don’t think I’m really that inexperienced when it comes to taking the metro home,” you told him. “It’s embarrassing to think that I haven’t taken one until now.”
Bakugou thinks it’s alright because you were actually on set to learn. No matter what those other extras say or comment, no matter if they give you unimpressed glances, he’s there to grant them one of his own spine-chilling glares if they had the balls to do so.
A passenger who appeared to be around your age stood up from his seat. “Excuse me, you can take my seat. I get off at the next stop,” he says. You’re a bit hesitant to take the offer, but he reassures you that it’s fine. It’ll be an awkward death for you if you don’t accept it, because now he’s standing. “Please, I insist.”
Unknown to you, Bakugou had an obvious scowl on his face until the stranger left.
“You look like you’re about to shit yourself.”
“Shut up, I’m not.”
“Jealous?”
“Hah? Why would I be—”
“Shh!” you kicked his shoe with yours.
“Quiet, remember?
Bakugou rolls his eyes, still frowning. You hold his free hand, cheekily smiling when he tries to free it from your hold. And in the end, he lets you do whatever the fuck it is that you want, but he would never ever admit that he was jealous of some nameless extra. He’s too far into liking you to help you board a train, get you a personalized IC card, miss his stop two stations ago because yours was still three stations after his, but he doesn’t think he’d be vocal about it anytime soon.
He’ll leave it to you to confess.
Then again, you already knew.
Bakugou Katsuki would not go above and beyond like this for anyone else, but he unknowingly does for you.

FAMILY DINNER PART 3
Tumblr media
Summary: Chris joins your family for dinner for the first time and it does not go as planned
Tw: Swearing, narcissistic dad, verbal arguing, panic attack mentions of alcohol use, use of taser, police, mentions of ed(NO DETAIL), lmk if I missed something
______________________________
The door swings open, and your eyes widen. You're met with two police officers, hands on their tasers, faces of stone. Behind them are 3 cop cars all parked haphazardly on your front lawn.
How long were you out of it? Who called them? Why are there so many of them?
You gasp, and Chris squeezes your hand. You look at him before looking at the officer. "Hi, how can I help you?" You ask, not even attempting to hide the nervousness.
"Hey, we got a call from a David, saying that he was attacked." The officer looked at Chris with raised eyebrows. "You wanna tell me what happened to your face, kid?"
"You've gotta be fucking kidding me." You speak out. "DAD?!" You yell into the house leaving Chris behind, and turning around and frantically searching for your father. You walk into every single room and not a David in sight.
When you get to the one room you hadn't checked, you notice it's locked. You put your ear to the door and listen closely. "Dad?" You ask loudly. All you get for an answer is soft sobs. Shit.
You reach on top of the door frame and grab a small key, swiftly unlocking the door. You swing the door open, looking frantically for the sound of the sobs. The lights off, so you turn it on, only to be met with your younger sister, Julia. She's sitting on the floor of the closet in the fetal position, just like you had been a couple of years prior. Your heart broke as she reminded you of your past experiences of this fucked up family.
"Hey, hey, hey, baby, hi." You say, kneeling down to her and pulling her onto your chest. Her sniffles turn into harsh sobs as she melts into your chest. You run your hands through your sisters curls as you feel your chest tighten with sympathy.
"Shhh, it's okay... it's okay." You whisper in her hair, planting a kiss. "What happened, baby?" You ask, pulling away to look at her face. Julia wipes her tears, looking up at you sadly.
"You don't know?" Her voice cracks. You tilt your head in confusion, waiting for her to elaborate. "Unless you're talking about dinner, I have no idea." You say. Julia sighs, looking down at her hands.
“Take your time. Don’t rush it.” You run your hair through her curls. She sighs deeply, closing her eyes before speaking. “While you were… away…” She smiles, and you laugh slightly. Julia always had a way of lightening the mood with humor, much like Nick. “Dad got upset. He… he had your boyfriend...”
Your heart sinks, knowing whatever comes out of her mouth could either be a gift, or a curse.
“Your boyfriend punched him… and then the one with the cool necklace pulled him off- and- and then dad came into the living room…” You feel her heart rate pick up as you pull her impossibly closer. You have no idea what’s coming next, and at this point, you don’t know if you want to. “Shhh, slow down.” You drag your hands through Julia’s hair, providing comfort for the both of you.
She takes a deep, shaky breath. “Dad, he yelled at Maya. And James came and stood in front of her. James wouldn’t move, and so Dad pushed him… and the blonde boy-Nick, I think- he hit Dad. And the man with the necklace had to hold him and Chris. Mom was crying, and Maya, too.” She breathes out. “She called the police… and Dad took the phone and told them that he was attacked.”
You nod slowly, anxiety growing deeper as you remember Chris’s bruised face, realizing that it looked worse than before. “I’m sorry.” Julia whispers so softly, you almost miss it. You shake your head and squeeze her tighter, if that was even possible.
“It’s not your fault, it’s never your fault. Do not blame yourself, it’s not your fault that you were born into this fucked up family. It’ll be okay, love.” You say. A comfortable silence falls between you two, the only thing being heard is her sniffles. You feel tears brim your eyes as you realize, Julia is a younger you. This was you only five years ago. This was you crying in Peter’s arms. This was YOU, praying for the yelling to stop, hoping your parents would come to their senses and just hug you. You were heartbroken that after all this time, nothing had changed. Your prayers were left unanswered, and your hope had dissipated over the years, slowly accepting the fact that your family was fucked, and there was nothing you could do to change it. After all this time, it was still the same. And you pray that it changes by the time Maya is 15.
The peace only lasts for a short moment (per usual), as loud screaming could be heard from downstairs. You both take a deep breath as you both stand up and go investigate. You take Julia’s hand in yours, pulling her behind you until you reach the bottom of the stairs. “Take Maya upstairs, keep her calm, she’s seen more than enough.”
“But-”
“It’ll be okay, Jules. Protect her, please. I’ll find James, and he’ll be up there soon.” You watch tears fill her eyes once more, before pulling her into a quick, heartfelt hug. You kiss her forehead before turning around and running outside. If the neighborhood didn’t know of your dysfunctional family, they sure as hell do now.
The scene outside is chaos. Nick is yelling at the top of his lungs, having to be held back by an officer and Matt. His screams are directed to your dad, who is on the ground, Chris on top of him, who also has officers attempting to hold him back. You knew Chris was strong, but you didn’t know he was able to hold off two officers, as well as still throwing punches at your dad.
All you can do is watch in shock, until you notice an officer reach for his taser. “WAI- '' your cut off by the sound of the prongs of the taser being released into the air, attaching themselves to Chris, eliciting a loud, strained groan from the boy. The groan held for a couple of seconds, until you hear Chris gasp for air, as his muscles relax.
“You stupid motherfucker! You’re tasing the wrong person! Maybe try tasing the abuser!” Nick hollers as you all watch Chris be put in handcuffs. “Get the fuck off of him!” Matt yells, leaving Nick’s side, moving quickly towards the officer, but he’s stopped before he can do anything stupid.
“Back the fuck up!” The officer shouts, pointing the taser at him. “I know you’re upset, but you need to calm the fuck down. Or else everybody’s going to jail.” Matt puts his hands up in defense, as he watches the other officer put your dad in cuffs. You scoff as you see your father putting on a face of fake innocence, one he’s been using for years, one you know all too well. Chris is put into the back of the cruiser, the officer getting into the driver's seat.
Nick isn’t yelling anymore, but he’s speaking passionately to the officer. You really commend the officers you were given this time around. Previous run-ins with law enforcement told you that they could either be real dicks, or the best people you’ve ever met, no in between. Matt had made his way over to you, hugging you tightly, as you started to come back to reality.
You don’t know when you started crying, but the tears fell regardless. Matt shushed you, just as Chris did earlier, accept this time, you were interrupted. “Hey, we need to talk to you guys,” a voice rings from behind you. You look up as Matt turns around to see one of the officers, with Nick behind him. You glance back into the house, seeing James, eyes wide with horror.
You looked at Matt. “Can you go with him, please? I gotta make sure Chr-” Matt cuts you off with a hug. “Of course, go handle your shit, I got ‘em.” You nod into his chest, before flashing James a weak smile. Matt turns around, leading James upstairs, presumably to find Jules and Maya.
You turn around, meeting the apologetic eyes of Nick, and the sympathetic gaze of the officer. You sigh, sitting down on the wooden steps. “What do you need to know?” you spoke out, starting to get a headache from tonight. You just want it to be over. You wished it was a bad dream..
“Listen, I know you’ve had a long night, so I’m gonna try and get out of your hair as soon as possible, especially because I know there’s kids inside.” The officer spoke kindly, something you didn’t expect. “I’m Officer Garroth, and I’ll just start off with some basic questions.”
You nodded, and answered the same questions you’d been asked many times before, once again reminding you of your childhood. “Okay, so what happened tonight?” you sigh deeply. “I’m not really sure. I remember an altercation with my dad and Chris at dinner, but after that, I have no idea.” Officer Garroth tilted his head, confused by your wording. You look at Nick, who nods, convincing you to continue speaking.
“My brain does this thing, that the second shit gets all wild, and like, aggressive, I just shut down. I don’t have any idea what’s going on around me, like my brain puts me in a little bubble.” You close your eyes and take a deep breath. “My therapist said it’s from all the past yelling and… all of this, at such a young age, it’s a coping mechanism.” You look up at the officer, who writes all of this down, careful not to miss anything.
“You said this has happened before?” He asked, pushing for more information. You nod. “So many times.” you whisper, licking your lips as you look down. He hums in response. “Alright, thank you. I’ll be back.” he said as he turned to walk away.
“Wait-” you say, cringing at your fragile voice, pathetically trying to gain volume. “Is he going to jail?” you weren’t 100% sure who you were referring to, your dad or your boyfriend. On one hand, you know that your dad should be imprisoned, for everything he’s done to your mom, for everything he’s said to your siblings, to you. But you also know how little control your mom actually has, and how hard it’d be for her to take care of three kids on her own. How little she’s actually done for any of you. She just stood back and watched as you and your siblings took the brunt of your fathers drunken, and sometimes sober, anger.
Chris, on the other hand, his anger was understood. His was warranted, you just wished he would have kept his cool, just a little longer. But you don’t blame him. Chris had grown up under the impression that family was everything, that when the whole world is seemingly against you, you’ve got your family behind you, to help you carry the burdens that weigh you down. But that’s not the case for everyone, 75% of families consider themselves dysfunctional. And Chris had just witnessed firsthand that you are a part of that percentage. It was overwhelming, and Chris had no idea someone so sweet, so caring, could come from people who didn’t give a shit at all.
Officer Garroth smiled sadly. “I’ll see what I can do. Hang tight.” he turned away and this time you let him walk away. You didn’t have any tears left, but you still felt like crying. What a fucking disaster. Nick put his hand on your shoulder, before pulling you into a hug. You melted into his arms, angry at him, angry at your mom, your dad, and even Chris.
“Why? Why couldn’t they just be normal.” You say, your voice muffled in Nick’s hoodie. He just holds you, shushing you occasionally. “It’s not your fault, love. A daughter shouldn’t have to beg their father for a relationship.” You laugh, tears starting to fall down your face. “Fuck you, I just stopped crying.”
Nick laughed, pulling away, wiping your tears. “Sorry, babes.” he shrugged. You shook your head, looking up towards the two police cruisers. “Home sweet home.” Nick leaned against you. You eye a black Camaro on the end of the street, the headlights off, but the car on. You go to say something, but before you can, you notice Officer Garroth coming towards you.
You instinctively sit up, Nick’s face furrows in confusion, but when he realizes who’s coming, he also sits up. You pray that Chrsi doesn’t go to jail, that your father isn’t that cruel to actually press charges.
“Alright, so I have good news and bad news. Unfortunately, there’s more bad than good.” he says. You nod. “What’s the good news?” Nick asks.
“Well, David is going to jail. Resisting arrest, and assaulting an officer. He could potentially gain more charges based on what you told me, as well as your mother, for child neglect.” You nod, not really knowing how to feel. You don’t care about them, not as much as you care about Chris at least. “What about Chris?” you ask.
Officer Garroth cleared his throat. “That’s the bad news. He’s probably also going to jail tonight. He did resist arrest. He also could be charged with assault and battery, but that’s highly unlikely, considering who he assaulted and why. If he gets a nice judge, those charges could easily be dropped.” Your heart drops with disappointment, you were hoping for something better than that. “How much would it be to bail him out, tonight?” You weren’t particularly fond of the idea of Chris spending the night in jail, and although he’d proven he could handle himself, jail was much different than fighting your girlfriend's abusive father.
“There's more bad news. He probably can’t be bailed out tonight, but you’d have to ask the county jail commissioner. And if he could be, it’s not cheap. 60 grand at least.” Your eyebrows raise as Nick gasps in surprise. “What the fuck? 60 grand for WHAT? 60k for him beating the fuck out of an abuser??” Nick spoke out. You put your hand on his shoulder, knowing the officer can’t do anything, and he’s just relaying information. Not that that’d stop Nick, he’d shot the messenger many times before, and he was afraid to do it again, whether that person was on law enforcement or not. Nick took a deep breath before looking down at his shoes. The poor boy was just as stressed as you, although you were used to this, desensitized to the adrenaline rush,
“Okay. Can I talk to Chris before you leave?” You ask, hopeful. The officer hesitates, but after considering the circumstances, he nods, walking you to the cruiser Chris is in the back of.
He unlocks the door, and you open it, making eye contact with Chris’s glossy blue eyes. “Baby.” his voice cracked as you leaned in and gave him a hug. He sniffled into your shoulder. “ ‘m so sorry. ‘m so fucking sorry, ma.” his voice muffled by your shirt, as you feel his tears soaking through it.
“It’s okay, baby, it’s okay. I know. You did what you thought was right.” You say, your voice cracking once again. Chris pulls away, looking you in your eyes. Your hands go up to cup his jaw, thumbs running over the bruises littered all over his face, leading down to the cut on his lip. He winces and you look at him apologetically.
“Are you okay?” Chris spoke out softly. You shake your head. “Not yet, but as soon as we get you outta here, I will be.” Chris nods, leaning his forehead against yours. You pull him into a passionate kiss, your hands still cupping his jaw. He sighs into the kiss, whining when you pull away. “God, I fucking love you.” he whispered.
“I love you, too, baby. How’s your back?” you say pulling away. “Electric.” He flashed you a toothy smile. You smile and roll your eyes. “Seriously. How are you feeling? Anything hurt too bad?”
He shakes his head. “Nah, it’s nothing, baby. Getting tased hurts like a bitch, though.” He said, looking towards the driver's seat, where the officer who tased him typed on a computer.
“Sorry, son, just business.” the officer spoke. You chuckled lightly, looking back at Chris. He was already looking at you, examining your features.
“You should get some sleep, ma. I know you're exhausted.” You shake your head. “I’m not sleeping tonight and you know that.”
“Alright, love birds, time is up. Sorry to break this up.” the officer from the front seat called. “The other cruiser just left, so it’s our turn.”
You sigh, kissing Chris once more. “We’ll be there as soon as they allow you visitors. I’ll do whatever I can to get you out.” Chris nods. “Don’t worry, ma. I got this. I’ll be alright.”
“You better. I can’t lose you, too.”
You nod, backing up, and before you close the door, you both exchange ‘I love yous’. You back up, letting the cruiser pull out of your driveway.
You back up into Nick’s arms, sighing deeply. “Where are we going to get 60 grand?” you speak out quietly. Nick breathes in. “I have no idea.”
Suddenly, an unfamiliar but familiar voice meets your ears. “I do.”

Sunday x Foxian Reader
𓆪♡𓆩 - Sunday 𓆪(´◡`)𓆩
After two centuries in life you have secured an office desk position in the Sky-Faring Commission. It was assumed to be an impressive standard as being 200 years old and earning a position in the commission wasn’t exactly easy. By most Xianzhou standards, you were still quite young for a position in a commission such as the Sky-Farring.
Yukong had announced that day that a class of elementary students from Penacony would be visiting the Luofu on a field trip to observe and explore the different types of planetary governments. With the recent surge of traffic and reckless driving, the workload has become too much of a pain, causing you to ditch the responsibility to tour guide these kids around.
“Miss?” a soft voice interrupted your train of thought, followed by a soft gentle touch on your tail. Turning around you spot a kid who's clearly not a Xianzhou local, hugging your soft tail and stroking it as if it were a pet. “I can’t find my sister.”
His eyes reflected with worry while explaining that he was separated from the group when he promised to retrieve his sister’s stuffed bunny. You knelt down to his level and looked at him in the eyes expressing a deep sense of worry.
“They’re with Madam Yukong… Do you know her by any chance?” You carefully brush your tail away from his hands seemingly disappointed as you do so.
“I heard of her only. Miss Foxian can you please help me find her?” The child pleading eyes tugged at your heartstrings. Those wings by his ears fluttered. How adorable! You only heard of Halovians but never in your two centuries of life have you seen one!
“Of course. What’s your name?” You questioned the child with a tenderful smile who could be no older than eight.
His eyes sparkled with the sweetest yet sheepish smile. He was not entirely comfortable around adults. “My name is —-,” he answered, his gaze lingering on top of your head with those soft fox ears and then towards your tail. Sunday could just imagine snuggling his small body against that cozy tail of yours! “Miss Foxian I’ve never seen your kind before if you don’t mind…” his voice trails off, his cheeks flustered, too embarrassed to finish his words.
You understood exactly what he meant! He wanted to pet you. You reassured him, “I’ve never seen a Halovian before. You are truly angelic and adorable!” You pinched his cheeks softly with a gleaming smile. You can if I get to touch those wings.”
His hands immediately lung forward towards your ears. His small soft hand wandered around your head and tail petting you down like a dog. “Foxian are truly gorgeous,” he remarked.
You couldn’t help but heave out a soft chuckle ruffling his head. Slowly, reaching your hands to his wings. You pitched them between your fingers. His gaze remains on you admiring your beauty. He knew right there you were his dream girl. Even if it might be a silly little childish crush you were too kind and gorgeous.
In the end you found out his elementary was on the whole other side of the Luofu. You couldn’t leave your station you had to remain here and work! You attempted to slove this by handing Sunday to the cloudknights so they can bring him back to the group. Yet whenever you bring Sunday towards them his small arms clung around your shoulders refusing to let you hand him over to them.
He would cry on your shoulders when you did. Maybe he was just shy as he claimed but truth to be told Sunday wanted to spend more time with you!
When he had to leave he was sobbing. It broke your warm big heart! His sister held Sunday’s hands trying to comfort him. It was a rare sight to see him cry according to his sister and classmate.
“Miss next time we meet! I promise we’ll get married!” Sunday delacred with a mix of sincerity and childish innocence. He wiped his tears before reluctantly getting escorted away by his teacher.
You chuckled at his pouting and whining being carried away by his teacher.
To you those words were nothing more than a childish promise. A broken promise that you will never remember. Would you even remember him? You know you could not defy the ethics of this universe. Long life species should never love a short life.
Many years later you've looked at your office desk. You managed to climb the rankings just slightly. A letter sitting innocently on your desk waiting to be opened.
An invitation from The Family? Surprised The Family will personally invite you. You thought they would invite someone like Fu Xuan or Jing Yuan but you? Was there a catch?
Nevertheless you gladly accept it because many with spend their savings to visit. You're visiting for free and you get a VIP room. Extra special VIP! And it was personally written by Representative Sunday. The man managing the festival! How nice. Do you even remember him? He felt like a distant memory.
You immediately step foot into Penacony from your private transportation provided from The Family. How generous The Family always treats their guests so well!
“Oh the important guest Mr. Sunday mentioned! It's an honor to meet an important guest of Mr. Sunday,” the receptionist charmed in with a gleeful smile.
You stood there confused. Did the Luofu Sky-Faring Commission have an important affairs you never knew of or an important meeting? You thought to yourself. You've only heard of Sunday and seen him in the news, yet you felt like you knew him before. Even if you did it be when he was a child.
“Someone will escort you right up ahead,” the receptionist spoke to you in such great manner.
Members from the Bloodhound escorted you with great caution. So much it intimidated you slightly. Suddenly they paused in their steps at a door. This was the hotel room? So different from the others.
You stepped inside once they told you to.
“Greetings Miss Foxian it's been a while,” a calm voice came in front of you. A man sitting on a chair leg crossed staring at the many TV screens flashing in front of him and you.
He stood up and turned facing towards you waiting for you to inch closer.
“Mr. Sunday? Is there something important we need to discuss?”
“No happy smile? Oh no this just can't do. You don't remember me don't you?” He stood towering over you. “Don't tell me you erased our special memories together. That promise.”
A frown replaced the calm smile. It was a custom for the Xianzhou to erase painful or parts of their memories to prevent Mara.
“Why those memories?” He whispered in your ears tenderly stroking your fluffy ears on your head. That touch felt familiar. He smiled again. Something about the smile was unsettling. “No worries The Family is experts when it comes to regaining lost memories.”
Memories came flashing in you. This was all confusing yet familiar. Too much you passed out. Sunday swiftly got hold of your body putting you in the dreamscape.
You opened your eyes. Your body felt weird almost like you were in a dream.
“How are you my little Fox?” He kissed your cheeks. He held you on his lap. His lips formed a smirk.
“See I kept my promise til the end,” his hands traced up your thighs keeping a firm grip on your waist.
He lifted you off his lap, setting you to sit on his fancy chair. He got on one knee eyeing you as he presented a ring in a white and golden box with a beautiful shiny diamond ring in the middle! The diamond ring has angel wings on it like his to show ownership towards you.
“Will you marry me my dear Fox?”
It was more of a demand than a question. Sunday wasn't the young boy you knew before. He always kept his words even if they were a childish dream. But he lived in a dream, the dreamscape so anything is possible.
He puts the cold ring on your ring finger, leaned in and kissed you lips. Sweet and short.

The morning sun beamed in your eyes, you tried to move away from the direct sunlight but strong arms held you back from moving. When you opened your eyes you saw that it was Mingi holding you.
Right, he fell asleep with you after your bath last night. You turned your head to look at his sleeping face. He was at peace.
He was happier these days, happier than ever. More than he was when he had met you. Mingi was at his lowest then, his heart was aching. His brain was telling him horrible things. He was the epitome of depression and anxiety.
High school was hard, but to him, it was pure hell. Even as a big guy, he was still bullied, he was in pain. He had no one. He had no friends. You’d see him in the halls, he was cute to you. Very cute. Mingi had always worn headphones to block out the other kids.
You never liked your friend group, they were the other rich kids that sort of pulled you with them everywhere just because you were richer. However, they participated in harassing the poor boy. You wanted to stop them but didn’t know what to do.
Until one day, you were trapped in a thunderstorm outside because your ride got caught in the weather. Mingi had been rushing through the storm, clearly crying. He wasn’t watching where he was going and had slipped near you, taking you to the ground with him.
He gasped and scrambled to get off of you, his clothes were sticking to yours because of the rain. You could see the pain in his face, the panic as well. But what you noticed was the black eye. The huge swelling. It angered you. Your so-called friends went too far.
“I’m sorry!” He yelled out over the storm.
You shook your head, “Mingi, please, don’t apologize.”
He froze in his movements, “H..how do you know my name?” He felt the happiness bubbling within him. Someone knew him.
Your ride had finally pulled up, “It doesn’t matter, for now, I’m giving you a ride home,” you crawled from beneath him and pulled him up, which was hard, “Get in, please.”
He stammered over his words but followed you into the backseat, “Thank you..”
-
When you had pulled up to his home, he had realized his family wasn’t home. Typical. They always left him alone, by himself.
“Oh, um..”
You shook your head, “Doesn’t matter, I’ll just take you to my home, my parents are on vacation so I’ll take care of you, okay?”
Mingi’s heart fluttered, however he was terrified. He didn’t know if you were being genuine or if you were gonna trick him.
He sat in silence, fiddling with his ruined headphones, they looked like they were purposely ripped and broken.
“Mingi, did..did they do this to you?” Your eyebrows furrowed in concern. You just knew you’d teach those kids a lesson. They weren’t your friends. How dare they harm someone as sweet as Song Mingi? He never hurt anyone.
His head snapped to face you, “What? No. I-“
“Don’t lie to me.”
“Yeah..they did this. They always do. This is my third pair of headphones this month.” You could see the pure sorrow in his eyes.
Your fingers clenched in anger, “I see.”
When the car pulled into the mansion's front lawn, your driver stepped out of his seat and opened your door for you, “Miss, welcome home. I’ve already let the household staff know about your companion, they have fresh clothes for him.”
“Thank you, Hyunwoo.” You smiled, taking Mingi’s hand to bring him inside. He was so glad his eyes were still puffy from crying, else you would’ve seen his red face.
Never has he had someone care about him so much. He couldn’t help but fall in love. It didn’t help that he already had a crush on you.
Your staff greeted you inside, rushing to help you out of your wet clothes, “Guys, I’ve got it.” You laughed, “Just bring the fresh clothes to my room, I’m gonna get him comfortable.”
You trudged up the stairs, taking the large man with you, “Don’t worry about my staff, my parents like to spoil me too much, they have staff to take care of me when I’m alone. I’m almost 18, you’d think they know I can take care of myself.”
Mingi gave you a small smile, “It’s okay..I may not be used to this, but it’s alright.”
As you pulled him into your room with a smile, “The bathroom is over there, go ahead and get undressed, I’ll bring you fresh clothes. My staff will wash and dry those for you.”
He shyly pulled away from your hand and entered the bathroom, shutting the door behind him. He stood there in confusion. Just how did he get here? With the prettiest girl in his school. He didn’t know she’d be this nice and caring, how could she hang out with such horrible people? He wondered.
You went through your closet and changed into warm pajamas, you’d had to wait to blow dry your hair since Mingi was in the bathroom.
One of your maids knocked on the door and came in, “Here you go, Miss. your companions clothes. Henry was the only one who seemed to have clothes that would possibly fit that boy.” She passed off the clothes to you.
“Thank you. You can go now.” You smiled as she left.
You knocked on the door and Mingi slowly opened the door, peeking his head out, “Thank you.” He took the clothes from you.
You could see a bit of his chest and it looked bad, there were new bruises and healing bruises.
You sighed, they must’ve pushed him over and kicked him. They were gonna pay for this. You didn’t care if Mingi would hate you for taking this into your hands. You just couldn’t stand by while they hurt someone. What if they took it too far and killed him? No, you couldn’t allow it.
He closed the door and put on his new clothes. Just a plain shirt and sweatpants.
“Would you like to stay the night, Mingi? I have several guest rooms if you’d like. I’m sure you don’t want to be alone.” You suggested with a smile from the other side of the door.
Mingi opened the door with a puppy-like smile, he was beginning to feel safe around you.
“Thank you, for everything, Y/N. You’ve been nothing but nice to me and I don’t know how to thank you.” Mingi stared down at his feet.
You stepped up to him, reaching out for his large hand, “It’s okay, there’s no need to thank me. You don’t deserve any of this.
You brought him to your bed and sat down, “Why don’t you get some rest, I’ll go make you something to eat, okay?”
He nodded with a small smile, “Okay.”
-
As days passed, the two of you got closer. He was becoming your one and only friend and you didn’t mind. He managed to avoid his bullies with you around, but one day you weren’t.
You had hurt shouts in the school's courtyard and found a crowd.
Oh no.
You could hear Mingi’s cries for help as no one did anything, they only recorded and laughed.
You were pissed. You threw your bag down and rushed into the crowd. Finding his group of bullies. All you could see was red. Your fist collided with someone’s jaw. This person was kicking Mingi.
“Fuck off of him!” You shouted.
The crowd went silent as your fist repeatedly bashed into the kids face, his nose was bleeding bad but you didn’t care. He hurt Mingi.
“Y/N, please.” Mingi cried out for you, the bullies already leaving his side to take care of you. But you weren’t having it.
You fought them off with everything you had.
Your fists were hurting, they were covered in blood but you didn’t care whose it was.
From that day forward, no one fucked with you or Mingi. The school didn’t even bother doing anything because your parents were their biggest sponsor.
On the day of your graduation, you had asked Mingi out and he was ecstatic. He was becoming a man. He vowed from the day you saved him that he wouldn’t stop at nothing to protect you.
You had kissed him on the stage and flicked everyone off, a final fuck off to the horrible school you two were leaving.
As the memory faded from your brain, you turned to look at the sleeping Mingi.
You were so glad for the day you met him. He called you his princess yet he was yours. He was the true princess.
“Y/N?” He stirred awake.
“Yes, Mingi?”
“I’m hungry, princess.” His stomach grumbled just right after his words and you both laughed.
“Then let’s go get something to eat, I’m sure the others are home and would like to eat as well.” You just knew Wooyoung would want to cook for you, especially since you were sure they all knew what happened with Hongjoong fucking you so hard.
Together, you left to go downstairs, happily and in love.

but daddy, i hate you
when spencer recieves a birthday card from his estranged father you help him deal with his feelings
gets a little steamy at the end so 18+ recommended
this is how i deal w my own feelings lol
a little background: set in season 13-14. right before spencer’s birthday. you’re spencer’s wife, you’ve been together around 7 years. You work at the bookstore that you and spencer own. (he helps you run it and is co owner, you run it together) also, Spencer and you live in the apartment above the store.
Tumblr media
It’s a beautiful Saturday morning and you’ve been going through boxes of new books for your store before you open for the day. It’s Spencer’s day off and he’s at the counter adding up the figures and making sure everything is in order for your busiest day of the week.
You hear a knock at the front door. “I’ll get it!” You yell to Spencer. You unlock the door and the mailman hands you your mail. “Thanks Jim, how’s Martha?” You ask him.
“She’s great, she’s dropping by later with cookies!”
“Cool! See you tomorrow!” You wave bye and start going through the mail.
“Hey, hon, there’s something for you from…” You stop when you read the name. William Reid. Spencer hadn’t seen nor heard from his father in almost 10 years. He was still very much angry about anything to do with his father. As were you. You couldn’t believe he hadn’t reached out at all.
“From who?” He asks, not looking up from the financial log. He puts his pencil down and reaches his hand out for you to hand him the envelope. You hesitate but hand it to him anyway.
You watch his face drop when he reads the name and address. Oh, how you wished to take the envelope out of his hands and hold him and tell him to forget that silly piece of paper forever. He peels the envelope open, careful not to touch the seal. He feels the dread fill his heart when he sees the contents. A card that says ‘Happy Birthday’ on the front, and ‘to a very special boy’ on the inside.
“What does he think I am? A fucking child?” He shouts, making you jump. “Sorry.” He apologizes and sighs.
“It’s alright, I’ll leave you alone with that.” You start to back away.
“No, don’t. Stay, please.” He begs with his beautiful eyes.
You nod and move closer. He begins reading the handwritten message on the inside of the card.
“Dear Spencer, Hope you’re not too upset with me, I am proud of you. We haven’t talked in a while, you haven’t called. You have the number. Don’t hesitate to reach out. How is Diana? Miss you. Happiest of Birthdays. Love, your father.” He reads it off, mocking every word.
“What the fuck! He hasn’t sent a card in 9 fucking years! Why now?” He raises his voice.
“I don’t..”
He cuts you off, “I’ll tell you why, because he’s either finally feeling bad about everything or he wants something. Well I won’t call him. I fucking hate him.”
“It’s a dick move to blame you for not reaching out, but honestly? Maybe you should, find out what he wants. If he honestly just wants to talk, it might be the closure you need. If he just wants something from you, you can tell him to fuck off. Obviously you don’t have to but maybe you should consider it. I know he was an asshole to you the last time, but you know I regretted not telling my father everything I wanted to say.” You’re watching your words, his father was a touchy subject.
He thinks for a minute and then sits back down and covers his face with his hands. “Maybe you’re right. You alright to open by yourself today? I think I’ll give him a call.”
“Yeah, go ahead. Good luck.”
He walks over to you and gives you a kiss and runs upstairs. He looked like a little kid who had just been given their favorite candy.
Later, when you’re closing the store for lunch break, you hear a loud crash from upstairs. You run upstairs, afraid Spencer had fallen and hurt himself. Worse. He was on the floor crying his eyes out. He had knocked the bookshelf over and he was surrounded by collapsed books.
You carefully step over the books to get to him.
“What happened?” You ask softly, so as to not startle him. He keeps crying into his hands but removes one to take your hand into his.
“I called, told him I received the card and I was willing to talk with him. I- I tried to…” His voice starts to trail off because he’s crying so hard he can’t speak. You rub his back reassuringly. “It’s ok, take your time.”
“I wanted to tell him, I’m married, and my life is going great. I didn’t even get to say anything. He stopped me and asked what card I was talking about. Turns out his new wife felt he should speak with his son, wrote the card and sent it to me. I should have known it wasn’t his handwriting.” He’s so tired from crying he just lays his head in your lap and stares.
“I’m so sorry love.” You say while running your fingers through his hair. Anger coursing through your veins.
“He hung up on me too.” His voice breaks as he says this. It has you fuming mad even more so. How could he do that? You could practically hear Spencer’s heart snapping in two.
He’s crushing your legs, so you convince him to stand up and have him go lay in bed with you. You cover him with the blankets and just hold him until he falls asleep.
You wake up a few hours later and he’s still asleep. You slyly grab his phone and write down William’s number. You take the paper, and your jacket downstairs.
You go to the store phone and as you’re dialing the number your stomach turns. Was this a good idea? After all I’m doing this for Spencer. You think as the line rings.
“Hello? Who is this?” A woman’s voice answers.
“Hello, is William Reid there?” Your voice quivers. You hear shuffling and the woman calls “Will! Phone!” in the background.
More shuffling. Then a man’s voice. “Who is this?” He says sternly.
“Hello, you don’t know me but I-“
“Then why are you calling me?”
“I’m your son’s wife, and I think we need to have a talk.”
“Spencer’s married?” He asks almost longingly. He sounded interested. Good.
“What kind of father are you? You don’t let him know you even want to be in his life and now all of a sudden you do? When he does finally reach out you hang up on him?”
“Ok that was because I went to go talk to my wife about why she sent my son a card from me.”
This goes on for a while, you yelling at Mr. Reid for his rude behavior.
The next morning you wake up to Spencer speaking to someone on the phone. Still groggy, you’re confused and mouth, ‘who is it?’
He holds up a finger to say hold on. He’s smiling. Maybe Prentiss is letting him take the next few days off!
“Alright bye! Love you!” He says into the phone, almost giddy. He hangs up and you tilt your head confused. He has the biggest grin on his adorable face.
“It was my dad. He was calling when I woke up. I can’t believe he reached out and he apologized! Can you believe it? He’s never really apologized to me before! We had a long talk, it was nice. Really nice.” He sits on the bed smiling.
“Is that so? Talk about a change of heart.” You smile to yourself knowing what you had done.
“You know what else he said?”
“What else did he say?”
“He said the little talking-to you gave him worked.” Spencer chuckles knowingly.
“I’m sorry, I should have told you.”
“No, I’m not upset. I actually am glad you did it. He wants to come and visit us. He wants to meet you too.” He pulls you into a big hug. “I love you. Thank you.” He kisses your neck.
“You’re welcome. I love you too.” You pull back and hold his face in your hand.
“Since you did me a favor, I think I owe you one. Lay back.” He gently spreads your legs apart and repays the favor to you. All day long.
the end 💞
it hurt me so bad to write spencer crying
to anyone who read this hope you enjoy! please don’t hesitate to leave feedback if you like this!

hiii, now that we see that frat!Miguel and muñeca had their baby before getting married, do they have him at the beginning of his professional career or still in college?? Would love to see how Miguel reacted to those news
it definitely happened a year after they graduated! where miguel’s career is definitely taking off and muñeca opened up a ballet class for little kids,
they did talk alot about marriage and a baby, mostly on miguel part. it was something that they have always been look forward to. and if you remembered what happened in college when muñeca was having a pregnancy scare and miguel actually being happy if it turned out to be true? yeah. he was far too excited about that one lol.
but that doesn’t stop his girl freaking out over the possibility of miguel not wanting it,
she took five different tests and it all came out positive, having no clue on how to deal with this.
and she broke the news after seeing miguel coming home from practice. a smile on his face as he greets her, dropping the bag on the floor
“missed you, mi amor” he shuts the door behind before tugging her close, kissing her cheek. “how’s work today?”
she looks up at him with a small smile. “really well. the kids were so excited about the recital”
“that’s good to hear. miss those little munchkins” he hums, threading a few strands of hair on the crown of her head. miguel pulls a chair by the counter, taking a seat with a loud sigh.
“how about you, baby?” she asks, trying to get her mind off of what’s troubling her. “practice went okay?” fingers reaching up to soothe his cheekbone, a hand of his still secured around her waist
he nods, pulling her in to sit on one of his thighs, “coach ran us for a bit but other than that it was fine” a soft smile painted across his face, making her mirror his as well,
but that’s when miguel notices how her smile doesn’t reach her pretty eyes. which is so not her. the way her irises keep looking down, finger toying with her nails. something is definitely up.
“hey…what’s going on in that little head of yours?” he voices his concerns, rubbing a hand up and down her thigh,
“nothing—it’s just—“ she pauses momentarily, going back to glance at him. “are kids still on top of your list, miggy?”
“with you? definitely, amor” he answers, brows deepening at your change of expression. “why..? you don’t want to?”
her eyes widen once you hear how he sad sounds. heart cracking at the sight of his features looking like a kicked puppy. “no!—no baby—i do! of course, i do!” the comfort she offer then makes him sigh in relief,
“mierda—you scared me right there. thought for a second you might be thinking about getting married with someone else” the way he rolls his eyes makes her giggle, snuggling a bit closer to his chest,
“and if i did?” it’s a joke,
“i’ll kill him” he answers in a serious manner, glaring softly at you but merely at the thought. “now—why’d you ask all of the sudden?”
the anxiety comes rushing back within her, mind scrambling over how he’d handle the news. her eyes flickers back down on to her lap, the action doesn’t go unnoticed by him,
“hey..” he’s starting to get worried. “baby?”
she exhales a deep breath, looking up to stare back into him. teeth sinking into the softness of her lower lip out of nervous habit,
“i’m pregnant”
two words that rings upon his ears causing his grip to loosen around your waist and hand. the bushy brows that were formed into a frown are now faltering. the whole facade he’s feigning just makes her want to cry,
oh god—he doesn’t want it
but then a large grin breaks all over him. “we’re having a baby?”
she nods slowly with a smile, “yes” she watches how her boyfriend going through a roller coaster of emotions. a good one.
“fuck! i’m going to be a dad? for real this time?! holyshit!” he cheers, cupping her face for a long kiss on the lips making her giggle. “oh muñeca i—is this why you were looking so scared before?”
“kind of yeah” she nods shyly. “your career is just starting miguel, I didn’t know if you wanted it. i don’t want to hold you back”
he gives her a look, shaking his head. “that’s bullshit, you could never hold me back. but the right question is, do you want it? it’s your body, mi amor”
her heart does a somersault at that. “i do—oh my god, i do” eyes welling up with joy as his thumb moves to soothe the tears before it trickles down further,
“this is—“ he cuts himself off, feeling himself getting teary eyed too. “oh my god—i love you so much” he peppers a few kisses on her cheeks, forehead then lips. “te amo, te amo, te amo, mi carino—vas a ser una gran mamá”
for the second time that afternoon, her heart blooms at his praises. and she feels incredibly lucky to have him by her side. no one else she’d rather have.
“the mami to my kid” he mutters gently against her skin. “feels unreal”
“better get used to it, daddy” she grins, hearing him groan,
“shit—i know you meant it in a different sense but I couldn’t help to think you meant otherwise” that earns himself a playful slap on the chest making they both chuckle,
“wait—“ he pauses when a thought comes into mind. “i was wondering though, when did we have—“ his eyes searching for hers who seems to be clueless at the same time, then a light bulb appears in him,
“oh! the hot tub sex!”

King and Prince 17
Part 16
When Steve undressed that evening, he hung up the new outfit from Eddie with care. Tired from the day, he collapsed onto the bed, stripped down to nothing which was how Robin found him that morning, causing her to awaken him with a shriek.
Steve found his bed covered in an assortment of folded clothes, both for the daytime and for slumbering. They were meant for daily activities, so none as fine as the green outfit Eddie had gotten him before. But somehow Steve knew it was all the king’s doing.
One evening, Steve and Robin were recataloging books, when she finally spoke up about this strange relationship they had been forming.
“You probably spent your nights with more excitement. A lass on one arm a drink in another”, she said only half derisively. She was up on a ladder while Steve passed books to her from a cart.
“Eh, not all it’s cracked up to be. Besides, I got a lass and a drink right here.”
Robin raised a brow before realizing he meant her and the pitcher of water over by one of the tables. “I’m not your lass and it looks like your standards for drinks have dropped. What is it with you anyway?”, she asked.
Steve paused, arm halfway stretched to handing her the next book. “What’s up with me?”
“You’re acting like you don’t even miss it? Weren’t you a prince? Like, adoring crowds, people falling over themselves for you, friends for miles. That kind of prince?”
Steve shook his head and handed her the book. “It’s not what you think.”
“Oh come on, don’t be modest. It looks stupid on you.”
His face pinched at that, not liking being called stupid in any capacity and also wondering what Robin meant by that. Before he could ask, she continued, apparently seeing the confusion on his face.
“You’re going to tell me you don’t miss any of that? That you’re fine staying here and being a glorified lackey?”
“I…” Steve had been trying not to think about that place anymore. He didn’t miss it. “I didn’t have a lot of close friends. Not like you’re thinking. No real adoring crowds either.”
“Oh bullshit”, Robin slid down from the ladder. She looked to the water pitcher again before nodding to Steve. “Come on.”
And Steve followed.
Followed until they got to a room he’d never been in. It took Steve a little too long to realize it was Robin’s bedroom. There was a stack of well loved books by the bed. A dartboard with small knives sitting on a table nearby. And a bottle of wine that Robin had already opened.
“Uhh…”, Steve was paused by the door, wondering if he was only just now picking up on something Robin had been putting down all this time.
Robin turned to face him and then realized how it all seemed. Her body jerked like the very idea sent a shock of lightning through her and she nearly dropped the bottle.
“Oh! Shit! Shoot! No! I wasn’t-! We’re drinking! Just as like-I’m mean we’re not friends, but like. I don’t know, it sounded like you wanted to talk and I like gossip and drama but I thought you wouldn’t talk about it sober so…” Robin set the bottle down on the floor and sat down, a mismatched pair of cups already there.
Steve let out a breath. “I would have been terribly flattered.”
Robin rolled her eyes. “You’re not my type. In any way, shape or form.” She sat down right on the floor and poured for both of them.
“You’re at least one of my types, maybe”, Steve said. Robin was beautiful. And funny, and smart, and she knew how to handle the kids but also never took herself too seriously. Just as soon as the idea was put in his head, it was snuffed out. He tried not to think on it too hard as he took that first sip. What he was thinking about was how long it had been since he’d been with anyone.
“So there’s no one you miss?”, Robin pressed.
“I had, like two friends”, Steve admitted. “They were…we knew each other since we were kids. And we just kind of stayed together. But then we got older and it just got so…” Steve was too sober for this conversation, so he took a sip.
Robin got the message and switched gears. “Alright, what about a sweetheart?”
There were quite a few who could qualify. But none who Steve had thought of while he was locked up. No one in particular he wanted to rush back to. So he just shook his head. Then he took another sip.
“Don’t tell me you’re celibate because I won’t believe it.”
“Why not? I could be celibate if I wanted to, I haven’t had sex a single time since I got here. I haven’t even…”, Steve paused before making a motion with his hand like he was stroking himself. Normally he wouldn’t do such a gesture in front of a lady. But Robin wasn’t just a lady. Plus, she had already seen him naked.
Robin snorted. “You’re acting like that’s a long time. And are you being honest? You haven’t? Even once?”
“I haven’t been in the mood”, Steve shrugged. “And what about you? I haven’t seen you exactly rushing off to cavort.”
“Steve, you only see me a couple hours a day, don’t assume what I’m doing.”
“So are you…?”
Robin huffed, then took a gulp. “No. Not currently, anyway.”
“So we’re both living like monks.” Steve raised his cup.
“My mother would be so proud”, Robin drawled as she raised her own to meet Steve’s.
The way she said it, Steve instantly knew. Of course, he couldn’t know the extent of it, but it sounded like Robin’s mother rarely was proud. He wondered where Robin’s mother was. Wondered where some of the other families were too. Dustin’s mother worked in the castle, but that was about as much as he knew about any of their families. And what of the royal family?
“Hey, is it just Eddie?”
“Is what just Eddie?”
“The royal family. He doesn’t have any relatives? Any heirs?” Steve wondered if that was why he kept wards. To bring up one to take the crown. It was odd of someone his supposed age to have no one. And his own family’s recordings never spoke of any lineage stemming from or to King Edward.
“He is very much solitary, as far as I know”, Robin said. She took another sip but watched the prince from her rim.
All Steve did was hum in response. “So tell me about this mother of yours. She sounds just as lovely as mine.”
-----------------------
Eddie didn’t like being caught off guard. He always tried to cover himself and make sure he protected those under his wing. So even though the Harringtons had said they were done with Steve, Eddie couldn’t fully believe it until he saw it with his own eyes. Because spring was here and they were too conspicuous, the demobeasts he would allow to remain in hibernation for now.
So he sent birds instead. He sent them to watch over the king and queen and see how they were really taking the absence of their son. He saw Juliana give a few tears one evening, while staring at a painting of what must have been a young Steve. But that was it. There was no official announcement to their people, but it was plain to see that Steve was no longer considered royalty by the court.
With a groan, Eddie cut off the connection between him and the raven, miles away. He rubbed his own actual eyes and then left his study to go and sit with the eager smiles that mirrored his own. It was story time and tonight, Eddie was thinking of throwing a few obstacles in the way, something really to get the kids excited like a tough riddle or even a labyrinth.
He came to one of the more comfortable sitting rooms, drinks and snacks already on the table, each child in their designated spot. But there was a new body floating in the room, standing off to the side like he wasn’t sure which place to sit. Obviously, not in the grand looking chair that was most definitely designated for Eddie.
“What brings you ‘round these parts, my liege?”, Eddie asked.
Steve had an arm across him and shrugged. “I’ve heard so much about your stories, I wanted to hear them for myself.”
The thought made Eddie so giddy that he climbed up onto his chair, squatting on it like a gargoyle while he met Steve’s gaze with a grin. If the prince wanted a show, he would give him the performance of a lifetime.
“Well then”, he settled onto the cushion, legs crossed now. Come take the seat with the best view~”
Steve’s eyes widened, not expecting something so blatantly, well, flirtatious. But he quickly regained his composure. “I’ll be fine right here, thanks.” He took the floor on the other side of the table, able to see all of Eddie and the rest of the kids.
Eddie’s grin didn’t falter and if anything, it deepened. Suddenly, getting the little prince to sit in his lap seemed to be his greatest life’s mission. If only because of how funny it would be. Yeah… funny.

Prompt 16 - Assassin AU
@wolfstarmicrofic April 16, word count 508
Sirius was one of the best. He never missed. He’d been trained by the elite and taken out some of the worst people in the country. McNair, Mulciber, Pettigrew, Avery. The list went on and on. He couldn’t even remember how many there were.
His latest assignment was for some bookish man by the name of Lupin. He read the file sent to him with all the vital information he would need. It didn’t say why he needed to be taken out, but the files never did. If his boss deemed them a threat, it was his job as an assassin to deal with them.
He sat waiting in the empty flat that overlooked the park Lupin frequented daily at 15:40 every day.
He kept his eyes trained on the main entrance. Then, at precisely 15:40, a tall, sandy-haired man walked through his eye-line. He couldn’t see a face, though. He needed a positive I.D.
He followed the man to the duck pond. It didn’t help that half of him was obscured by hedges. The man turned his head. It was definitely Lupin. His finger inched towards the trigger. He was a hairs-breadth away from setting the trigger off when Lupin bent down. Sirius paused his shot, waiting for him to rise again.
Lupin straightened he’d turned away from Sirius’s direction, but that didn’t matter. Sirius lined up the shot again and prepared to shoot. When Lupin spun around in a circle, his nose pressed to the nose of the little boy in his arms. They giggled and laughed together as they spun around.
Sirius immediately aborted the mission. He refused to shoot someone holding a child.
He pulled his phone out and dialled the only number on it.
“You didn’t tell me he had a child!” He growled into the phone.  “It does matter. I won’t kill someone holding a child.” He listened to his boss berating him for not doing his job. “What’s he even done? He doesn’t look dangerous.” He listened again. “No, I really think it is my business when there’s a child involved.” He waited. “What information?… And why does that require me to eliminate him?… That’s ridiculous. Why don’t you protect him?… It’s a human life, Albus, and he’s done nothing wrong!… No, I refuse to do it on those grounds… Then I’ll protect him… Then I resign… Either I protect him on your orders or consider me your enemy… Good, I’m glad you’ve seen sense… Yes, I’ll make contact in the morning… I’ll need further information on him and who else knows he had information… Good, thank you, Albus.” He hung up and began packing his equipment away.
It was going to be interesting. He’d never protected anyone before, nor did he know much about kids, but he was about to learn.
He left the flat without a trace, as though he’d never been there. He took a leisurely stroll through the park and watched the luckiest man alive push the little black-haired, green-eyed boy on the swings.

Based off an apocalyptic au I dreamt abt.
Everything was fine in the cul-de-sac. The sounds of kids playing and laughing throughout the area.
So what went wrong?
Vehicles rushing out of the neighborhood, crashing into other cars. The sound of chaos echoing through the air. None of the kids knew what was going on, their parents didn’t say anything to them yet you could see the fear and worry in their eyes.
“Reports say that the infection from last week has mutated and gotten worse. No quarantine will work, no medicine,…nothing. For your safety and those around you, rid of those infected.”
The whole town had went into lockdown after almost all the kids in peach creek jr. High had caught this strange sickness. Some recovered, others got worse…unrecognizable.
The Ed’s had found themselves lost, Eddy feeling as though he’s responsible for taking care of the two..leading them to safety. He says his brother has a space spot they can go to, but deep down he knows he’s lying.
This is possibly Double D’s worst nightmare, causing so much panic and anxiety within him though over time he has learned to calm himself down a bit. He worries about the other kids whereabouts. He refuses to not wear some sort of protection on his hands, keeps a box of them in his bag along with other medical resources and food.
Ed misses his sister, scared and worried abt her. She’s gone and he knows that but double d promised he’d find a way to save her.
As for everyone else, last they were all seen in a car driving off..to where? Who knows.
“If you hear a sneeze, cough, or sniffling…be aware. Don’t hesitate. Death is not worth helping a friend.”

hey yall. thought id come on here and just translate what albus and scorpius say to each other/about each other in the script/show to normal people lingo! JUST MY OPINION
Albus: you’re a light in the darkness. (you’re MY light in the darkness)
Scorpius: Albus!!! Im fighting for Albus. (he makes me so happy and is the only person in my life that I love enough to get these stupid ass dementors off me)
Albus: Scorpius matters to me, you understand that right? (Literally my best friend that I may or may not have romantic feelings which I am yet to work out. I’m trying to get you to understand before I come out to you!)
Scorpius: I changed myself back for you. You might not of been there but you were fighting alongside me. (I thought about you everyday because I missed you so much and couldn’t stand not seeing you and being near you)
Scorpius: Still, if I had to choose a companion to be at the return of eternal darkness with, id choose you. (I don’t want to be with anyone else but you. Not just in this case, but in every other situation ever. I am also trying to work out if you actually do love me or that was just Delphi making shit up)
Albus: No offence, but id choose someone massive and really good at magic. (I am actually kidding id choose you but I refuse to admit my feelings for you so I will avoid it at all costs, even though Delphi literally just did it for me)
Ginny: you were confused, and now you’re finding wonderful clarity, which makes me very proud.(Your soulmate is literally right in front of you and I hope you can now see that)
Albus: and that’s who you want. In your palace? (Are you sure you really want Rose when I am literally right in front of you. Because I really want you even though I never admit my feelings yet here I am, admitting my feelings in a roundabout way. This is my way of saying the L word btw)
Scorpius: yes… isn’t it? (Wait. Is this you admitting your feelings or just being friendly? I don’t think I’m meant to feel this way about my best friend. But since you asked, I think a palace with you would be nice)
Scorpius: I didn’t know whether we should. In this new version of us. (I think we both secretly know we now have a different type of relationship. I want us to be ok with that and accept it. I like hugging you. Only you)
Albus: you do know right, that scorpius is the most important person in my life and might always be the most important? (This is me coming out. I really like my best friend more than you normally should and I’ve finally realised that and come to terms with it. I hope you can accept me and be ok with that.)
thank you for coming to my ted talk. comment any opinions you have, i would love to hear them xx

Robin sat right down, sighing, “So what? We all live in the woods and hope the kids find us?”
“They will,” Steve reassured, “Lucas is probably getting help as we speak. Besides, it’s not that cold out. We’ll be fine. And if they don’t find us, we’ll find them.”
Nancy nodded, despite the fact that she was already shivering. But Steve noticed. He didn’t even hesitate to take his own jacket off.
She frowned, as he draped it over her shoulders,  “But what about you?”
“I have a sweater and an Eddie blanket,” Steve smiled, “I'll be just fine.”
“Speaking of that…” Eddie trailed in, “How about Steve and I go a little bit away and keep watch?”
Chrissy knew Jason was losing it, but she was 100 percent confident he was busy dealing with his murdered friend. She frowned, “Do you really think they’ll come after watching their friend die-”
“Yeah, you two go do that,” Robin interrupted with a sigh. She turned to Chrissy, “They want to make-out and save us the headache. We’re almost certain to be good for the night.”
“We'll be back soon,” Steve said, a slight flush to his cheeks but he didn’t correct her, “And we won’t go far.”
“Within an hour,” Nancy warned, “And keep quiet.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Eddie said flippantly, wrapping an arm around Steve’s shoulder, “You won’t even miss us.”
They walked away into the darkness, leaning into each other as they went. Chrissy was pretty sure she saw Steve stick his hand into Eddie’s back pocket before they were out of sight.
“It’s actually insane that they haven’t gotten caught yet,” Robin said as she watched them go, “I only found out because I saw them shoving tongues in a parking lot. But once you know, you can never unsee it.”
“I can’t believe I didn’t catch on sooner,” Chrissy sighed as she sat to Robin’s left, Nancy taking the right, “Did they really trick all of you?”
“All of us,” Nancy confirmed through a yawn, “They can actually be pretty sneaky when they want to be. They just never want to be.”
Nancy rested her head against Robin’s shoulder, Steve’s jacket wrapped tightly around her, “We should sleep.”
“We will,” Robin said quietly, “But don’t wait for us. Go right ahead.”
Nancy gave her a little smile, “If you say so.”
It barely took a few minutes for her to be completely out. She looked so peaceful, so much younger when she was asleep. Chrissy was well aware that Nancy was a small girl, but she had so much presence.
“She looks so much bigger when she's awake,” Chrissy mumbled quietly, “Like she can take on the world.”
“She probably could,” Robin laughed, “I think it’s all personality.”
“I know. I wish I could be like that.”
“Why?” Robin asked, furrowing her brow, “You’re literally perfect.”
Chrissy couldn’t help but laugh at that, “How on Earth am I perfect?”
But Robin didn’t look like she was joking, “Dude you are. You’re so sweet and fun. You’re talented, athletic, pretty, but still nice somehow. You’re brave as hell, if this whole scenario stands for anything. And you’re hot when you punch dudes in the face.”
That was almost too sweet for Chrissy to hear. But she couldn’t help but zero in on one thing, “You think I’m hot?”
Robin froze, opening and closing her mouth as she stuttered, “I-No? I mean, yes? I-objectively yes. Not creepily.”
Chrissy smiled, her heart beating a little faster at the implication. But… Jason. She felt so bad for him. After what he’d seen, it made sense to blame them. But it only made sense now. There was no framework to understand what was happening before and to just blame Eddie and Nancy for everything was ridiculous. She’d never seen him like that before, so out of sorts. He was so good at keeping his temper undercheck, she didn’t get what was happening to him.
But… she had been pretty clear hadn’t she? She didn’t leave with him, she never even tried. She told him to go home, that she didn’t need him, she didn’t want him. It… it was close enough to a break-up wasn’t it? Chrissy wasn’t sure. Though she had a feeling even thinking of things the way she was made her a bad person.
It just didn’t stop her from blurting, “I-I count tonight as breaking up with Jason. Just so you know. We um, we were never that close but my mom- she likes his family a-and… he used to be nice. He is nice but he’s… it doesn’t matter. We aren’t together. Just um, so you know. If you didn’t.”
She wanted to say more but… Chrissy could only be so brave in one day.
“I was um,” Robin swallowed, her face already red, “I was hoping that was the case. Because you deserve to be happy and I don’t…. I don't think he could do that.”
“He couldn’t,” Chrissy said softly, inching her fingers slowly to intertwine with Robin’s. She felt okay, as okay as she could be with the circumstances-
“Mmph!”
Chrissy nearly jumped at the sudden noise, the only saving grace was that she definitely recognized it as Eddie’s voice.
“Are they okay?” Chrissy asked nervously, staring out into the darkness. But Robin didn’t seem worried, she just gave Chrissy’s hand a comforting squeeze.
“I wouldn't check if I were you,” Robin sighed, “If they get loud again I'll throw a rock in their general direction. But they are fine. Trust me.”

Something fluff about Kylian having a newborn baby 🥺
Tumblr media
in which kylian experiences life as a father to a newborn baby.
+
the front door slammed shut and you winced at how loud it was, eyes darting to the crib to see if your daughter had woke up.
kylian creeped into the room and your finger touched your lips, silently asking him to be quiet. “she’s just gone down about five minutes ago.”
he looked down at his daughter and smiled. she looked so peaceful just lay there, her tiny hands clutching the air. “i brought us dinner.”
even though you knew you looked like a mess, kylian didn’t mind and he pulled you out of bed, dragging you towards the dining room.
there were baby monitors in every room of the house, something kylian had made sure you had to make sure the baby was okay wherever he went.
as kylian plated dinner up, you picked at your nails with a disgusted look. how could you let them get this bad?
kylian noticed the way you had been looking at yourself lately and because he had the day off work tomorrow, he wanted to do something for you.
“why don’t you go out tomorrow and relax? i’ll stay with the baby and you can ask your sister to go.”
it was stupid really how relieved you were. you’d took five months off work to care for your daughter, but you’d somehow forgotten about yourself during the process.
“will you be okay on your own?”
“y/n, i’m a grown man. i’ve got to learn too, you know?”
+
“there’s some baby milk in the fridge and she might need a bath. are you sure you’ll be fine?”
he rolled his eyes, not out of annoyance but because he wanted you to go and have a nice time. “stop worrying. i’ll ring if anything happens. now go, have fun!”
you kissed him on the lips, kissing your daughter on the head as well before leaving the house, meeting your sister outside.
“looks like it’s just us, bug,” kylian said, his daughter staring back up at him with her big bambi eyes. sometimes he’d lay there at night and think about what life would be like when she could talk.
he’d find himself wondering if she’d be a scientist or a doctor, how many kids she would have, what her favourite movie would be.
she looked peaceful in his arms and he started feeling bad for how much he was away from home. what if he missed her first words or first steps?
“you have to promise me that when you start talking, you’ll wait for me to be here, okay?” kylian said, his finger booping her nose.
most of the day was spent watching cartoons with kylian secretly liked, but he’d never admit it. feeding was pretty easy but when it came time for her to sleep, well it wasn’t going well.
“please, mon chéri. you have to go to sleep.”
her wails could probably be heard from down the street and kylian was trying his hardest to calm her down. he thought about ringing you but that would make you think he couldn’t do it alone.
kylian flicked the cartoons back on but still, she stayed crying. he remembered the only thing that calmed him down as a kid was his mother’s lullaby, so he started singing it softly.
she stopped and stared at him, her small fingers wrapped around his thumb. it was like she was exploring, learning everything about her dad by feeling his fingers and looking into his eyes.
after three minutes of the same lullaby over and over, she finally began to shut her eyes and kylian let out a breath he didn’t know he had been holding in.
kylian didn’t want to move her back to her crib in case she woke up again, so he moved over, resting his head against the headboard and letting sleep find him.

notes: hannah tries her best to send taeyong off to the navy. (dialogue written in italics are spoken in english)
setting: jeju international airport, 240415
wc: 1,175
content warning: taeyong’s enlistment
Tumblr media
“You good, Hans?”
Mark’s voice pulled Hannah back down to earth. As soon as he sat down next to her, she leaned into his side and glanced at Donghyuck, who stood a few steps away on the phone with Taeyong. She was the last of the three of them who’d be on the phone with him since they decided to go by age.
She groaned while pulling her hat down by the visor. Next to her, Mark was shuffling in his seat until he had his arm around her, lightly patting her shoulder.
“This isn’t fair,” she ran her hand down her face. “Is it so hard to say no to even just one event so we could have all come home yesterday?”
She could feel the 99-liner squeeze her shoulder, “You know how it is, Hans. Hyung knows, too.”
“We tried so hard,” she slumps further into his side, “and we don’t even get a glimpse of him in real life before he leaves!”
The two of them could only sit in silence after that. The three 127 maknaes had taken it upon themselves to rearrange their schedule in order to reach their leader’s send off, but they were beat.
That’s how they found themselves in Jeju.
The stress of trying to make it in time was something she didn’t think she’d ever go through. Months ago when their leader first told them he was enlisting, she thought she’d be right there with the rest of 127 (and maybe all of NCT) to send their leader off.
She didn’t expect to look at their managers’ itinerary only to find they wouldn’t even be in Korea on the day of.
“Hyung wants to know why his princess is pouting.”
“I’m not pouting,” Hannah looked up to glare at Donghyuck until she realized who was on the small screen looking at her. “Oppa!”
The older 00-liner snickered while handing her the phone and placing the bluetooth headphones over her ears. In her excitement to stand up, she elbowed Mark in the ribs.
“I gotta take this,” she jogged over to the isolated corner for a semblance of privacy then looked at the smiling man on the screen. “Boss! How are you? Are the oppas treating you okay? Did you get my present? Have you met any other people you’re entering with?”
“Calm down, Haeeunie,” Taeyong chuckled, “breathe. I’m alright, missing you kids. Everyone’s treating me the same, I haven’t really met anyone yet, and what present?”
A grin made its way to her face, “I snuck something into your backpack last week when I helped you pack some stuff.”
“I’m looking forward to it,” he smiled at her.
Seeing him smile pulled at something in her chest. She squeezed her eyes shut, slipping her sunglasses on. She did not want to cry in front of Taeyong, but it felt impossible to do. She went for the second best option: not letting him see.
“Hey,” Taeyong held his phone closer to his face so she could only see one of his eyes on the screen, “I want to see your face before I go.”
That did it. A tear escaped.
“Oh,” she sighed while taking off her hat and moving her sunglasses up her head to hold her hair back, “I hate that we’re not there with you!”
He gave her a sad smile once he held his phone at a normal angle again, “Don’t worry about it. We know how hard you three worked to get here, and I love you for it. You did everything you could, and that’s what matters, alright?”
“Alright,” her voice came out as a whisper. “I’m really sorry, Oppa.”
“Nothing to be sorry about, Haeeunie,” he reassured her. “I promise. And you know I don’t take my promises lightly, especially not with you.”
She bit her lip, nodding instead of talking. Talking would just make her cry harder. But Taeyong wasn’t done talking.
“You know what?” His tone brightened, “I’m going to make you another promise right now. After basic training, when I get my phone back, you’ll be the first person I call after my mom and my sister. Sound good?”
“Sounds great,” to her luck, her voice didn’t shake, “and I’ll have Hyuck and Markie with me.”
“Good, good,” Taeyong nodded.
Hannah smiled, “And you bet I’ll drop any schedule I have then and there and drag those two with me so we can talk to you.”
“Unfortunately, I don’t expect any less.”
“Unfortunately?”
“As your leader,” he shrugged with a mischievous smirk, “but, as one of your big brothers, I say have at it, Boss Lady.”
Laughs slipped past her lips, in time with his. “You better look out, oppa, because I’m planning on doing something to anger the company for not having the balls to reschedule or say no to one event.”
He grinned at her, “Can’t wait for you to tell me all about it. Don’t give your oppas too much grief.”
She was about to retort when a muffled voice caught Taeyong’s attention. His frown told her all she needed to know.
“How much time you got there?” she asked him.
“Not a lot,” he admitted, “but I’m gonna tell you what I need you to hear right now before I leave, okay?”
“Okay.”
“First of all,” he began, “it’s not your fault, okay? We can put the blame on the weather. Second, I miss you, and I’m going to miss you, but this’ll pass and either you’ll be able to visit me or I can go on leave. Watch over the boys, you know most of our brain cells rest in you. But also don’t forget to allow them to take care of you. I love you, Haeeunie, a lot.”
“I love you, too, Oppa,” she smiled at him, wiping away the tears that were starting to fall. “You stay safe. Don’t get sick, don’t get hurt.”
“I’ll try my best,” he nodded, “now go and get the other two with you so I can say bye to all of you!”
With a nod, she walked back to the two boys with her, sitting on Donghyuck’s lap and throwing her legs over Mark’s. She handed the phone to Mark, who turned the bluetooth off.
“You kids take care of each other,” Taeyong began with a smile. “I’ll see you when I see you. It won’t be too long.”
The three 127 maknaes said their goodbyes and watched as Taeyong clicked out of the call. They sat in silence for a few seconds, staring at the black screen.
That was it.
That was them sending their leader off. That was the first time they were sending off one of their big brothers, and this was how it ended.
“This isn’t fair,” she muttered, leaning her head on Donghyuck’s shoulder.
Her twin flame sighed, “It really isn’t.”
“It’ll be okay,” Mark gave her knee a squeeze. “Hyung knows we love him and that we’d do anything to be with him right know. He’ll be okay.”

Burden of Truth (Book 1) Chapter Fifteen
Father Figure! Marc Spector x Teen! Reader
Father Figure! Steven Grant x Teen! Reader
Mother Figure! Layla El-Faouly x Teen! Reader
Chapter Fifteen: In a New Chapter
Summary: (Y/N), Marc, and Steven experience a new type of life.
Mouse Note: Thank you so much for reading Burden of Truth (Book 1)! I had so much fun sharing with everyone. Really, I loved writing this. I hope that more Moon Knight content comes out soon because I already miss these guys so much. But, for now, I must say goodbye. I have more content in other series coming, and I have other Father Figure stories, so, please, take a look if you liked this story! Until next time
(Y/N) stepped out of the Great Pyramid. Their mind was their own. Their choices were their own. Their purpose was their own.
The warmth of the rising sun greeted them as they stepped out, and (Y/N) took a deep breath. Fresh, free air greeted their lungs. For a moment, they just stood there, existing. That’s all they wanted to do, forever.
            “Hey. You alright, (Y/N)?”
(Y/N) opened their eyes and looked at Layla. They grinned. “I’m great.”
“You’re not an Avatar anymore, are you?” said Marc.
(Y/N) shook their head. “No. Ma’at gave me a gift in thanks, and then she let me go.”
            “Nicer than Khonshu,” muttered Marc.
Steven switched in. “What are you going to do now?”
            (Y/N) shrugged. “I don’t know.”
“You’re not going to just…wander off alone, are you?” asked Steven worriedly.
“…I don’t know what else to do,” said (Y/N).
Layla scoffed. “No way are we letting you go off alone. You’re what, seventeen? No.”
“What else do I do?” asked (Y/N).
“Come back to London with me! And Marc!” said Steven instantly.
(Y/N) blinked, and their heart warmed. “What?”
“Layla is…going to be off doing Layla things, but we’re…we’re going to try to figure things out, Marc and I, between us. So we’re going back to London, to my flat,” said Steven, smiling.
“I—You want me to?” whispered (Y/N) as if the spell of being wanted, belonging, would break if they spoke too loudly, no matter how honest Steven’s words were.
Layla rolled her eyes. (Y/N) was apparently oblivious to how much Steven and Marc had become attached to them. “Of course they do.”
“Come home with us,” said Steven.
“Really?” They knew it was the truth, but it felt too impossible to accept. (Y/N) felt tears collect in their eyes, and their heart swelled with so much warmth it felt like they would burst.
“We’re not leaving you alone, kid,” said Marc, switching to front. He pulled (Y/N) in and hugged them.
(Y/N) let out a happy sob and grinned. They hugged back.
l
A few months later…
(Y/N)’s eyes opened as sunlight warmed their skin. Rolling over, they looked out the window at the bustle of London below. They smiled.
            “Heya, are you awake, (Y/N)?”
(Y/N) sat up as Steven poked his head into the room. “I’m up.”
“Oh, good, I’m making pancakes. Want some?” said Steven.
            (Y/N) smiled. “Sure.”
Steven grinned and nodded, leaving the room.
(Y/N) got out of bed and changed into their day clothes. Pulling on a t-shirt and jeans, they looked in the mirror. They didn’t need to be prepared for thievery or fighting. They could just…be.
Walking out of their room, (Y/N) walked to the kitchen portion of the flat.
“Hey, Guses,” said (Y/N), picking up fish food and sprinkling it into the tank where two fish swam together.
“Oh, yeah, we forgot to feed him this morning,” said Steven. “Thanks!”
“No, I told you too, and you forgot,” said Marc from the mirror.
“He’s cooking, so it’s alright,” said (Y/N), taking a plate from Steven.
“He should make an omelet. You don’t get enough protein with him,” said Marc.
“I make sure they do!” defended Steven, but there was nothing adversarial.
“Marc, I cook for myself,” said (Y/N) matter-of-factly. “You don’t have to worry.”
“But I do,” said Marc, switching in and pulling out eggs to start cooking.
            (Y/N) laughed and smiled.
“What are you doing today?” asked Marc, glancing at (Y/N).
They paused and considered. “I don’t know.” And that was the honest truth. They grinned. “I’m going to walk around and see what interests me.”
Marc’s gaze softened, and he smiled. “Alright. Just be careful.” He scooped eggs onto their plate. “And don’t forget, you and I are training later.”
“Right,” said (Y/N), eating their pancakes and eggs. “I’ll be back at 4.”
“Do you need pocket money?” said Steven from the reflection in the aquarium.
(Y/N) shook their head. “I managed to save some money when I worked with Ma’at. I’m fine.”
“Alright, but if you need anything, anything at all, you’ll tell us, right?” said Steven, fretting as usual.
(Y/N) smiled. “I will. Thank you.” They stood, passed their plate to Marc, and picked up their messenger back—the first item they’d bought in London. It reminded them of what their parents brought with them. “Bye. I’ll see you later.”
“Bye, kid,” said Marc, watching them go.
The door slammed closed behind them, and Marc smiled.
“We’re doing good, aren’t we?” said Steven, looking at Marc.
“I hope so. They’re a good kid,” said Marc.
“Yeah. I really like them. It’s kind of like…we’re a family, you know?” said Steven.
“I know,” said Marc, his gaze softening. “I know.”
l
(Y/N) hummed as they sat down at the café of a bookstore they’d happened upon. Opening their phone, they scrolled through the news. As usual, the first things that popped up were the latest moves of some of the newer superheroes on the scene, like the new, female Hulk or a girl fighting with crystal-like abilities in Jersey City.
Leaving the news behind, (Y/N) clicked on their music and pressed play.
“El Melouk” began to play through their earbuds, and they smiled, taking a sip of their coffee.
“Look, look, look where we have been/and where we are now.”
            (Y/N) smiled.
They had lost everything, but now, they were living. They had people they cared about. They had a home. (Y/N) even dared say they had a family.
And (Y/N) had a chance to figure out who they were.

Chapter Summary: After some encouragement from Steve and Robin, you decide to finally talk to Eddie, and it doesn't go so well. Nothing a movie night with Steve and Robin can't help to take your mind off of though.
WC: 5.7k
Warnings: MDNI. Explicit language. Angst. Eddie is a bit of an asshole and gets slapped for it. Fatphobic comment/bullying from Jason.
Thursday, September 19th, 1985
The past few days since your first day had been uneventful in terms of Eddie. You continued to avoid the lunch room and opt for spending lunch in the library. Robin has joined you once so far, promising to continue so you wouldn’t ‘get lonely’, as she put it. The handful of times you’ve seen Eddie in the halls, he’d see you and immediately avoided you. Refusing to look at you and even turning to walk in another direction. The 2 classes you have with him weren’t any different, not sparing a glance your way, and either being the first or last to leave class so he wouldn’t be walking out near you. The pressure of the guilt you carried only intensified with each averted gaze and you don’t know how much more you can take.
You know you have to talk to him, figure out a way to make this right but you don’t know how. Don’t know what you could even say to make him understand, make this right. You wonder if it’s even possible to recover the friendship you once had with him, but you know you have to try. Living without having him in your life while you were in Virginia was hard, but seeing him in class and the halls everyday now made it so much worse. More than you can bare, and you feel like you’re gonna crack.
A tiny folded note lands on your desk, catching you off guard. You reach for the paper, peeking up at the teacher as you unfold it.
The trials and tribulations of the French Revolution not entertaining enough for you?
You smile at the note, glancing to the seat to your left. Robin stares back at you, wide eyed and shaking her head at you teasingly. You look back down at the note with a grin, grabbing your pencil and writing a response.
Oh, yes. I’m having the time of my life, can’t you tell?
You pass the note back to her as the teacher writes on the board. Smiling as you watch her reaction. You’re grateful to have a few classes with Robin. She had missed the first few periods of your first day for a doctor's appointment. The next day when you saw her in your 2nd period World History and 3rd period Science class, you let out a major sigh of relief. Your friendship with Robin, and Steve for that matter, happened so naturally. You didn’t have to force it or feel like you had to act differently to be more likable to them. Other friendships in your past had been different.
Whenever you had started at new schools, you felt like you had to always be funny and make jokes to get friends. You’d always been told you had a natural humor to you, a humor you often felt the need to force to be more likable. It had worked too, other kids would be nicer to you. Who knew all it took to lessen your bullying was to make a joke about the teacher’s unzipped fly? It didn’t stop the bullying and teasing all together, but it certainly helped. Still, the ‘friends’ you had made from it were never the deeper, genuine friendships like you had with Eddie, Robin or Steve. That pressure was a weight that was finally off your shoulders now. You didn’t see a point in trying to make new friends for the one year you’d be here at Hawkins High, nor did you feel the need to. Your life feels full with the friendships of Steve, Robin, and the younger party. Well…almost full. That hole once occupied by the wild-haired, metal loving, DnD ‘freak’ of Hawkins aches and looms around, antagonizing you.
It continues to loom for the rest of the day, even into your work shift at the restaurant your Aunt Patty manages. The meager Thursday night dinner rush and small stack of dishes to wash doesn’t help to distract your thoughts, no matter how hard you try. You consider making a stop after work at Family Video to get advice from Robin and Steve about what you should do. You’re getting nowhere going back and forth in your own head. Maybe hearing the words from them will help give you the courage you need to do what you know you need to.
Slow business for the night leads to you getting out at a decent time, an hour before Family Video closes. You hop in your truck and drive the mile down the street to your friends’ workplace. When you pull in front of the store, you and Steve’s cars are the only ones in the parking lot. You’d been betting on it being a slow night for Family Video too, giving you the privacy you wanted for the conversation you need to have.
You’d never talked about Eddie to Robin or Steve throughout your friendship since the beginning of the summer. You know they had to have known about it, though. Steve even mentioned it once at some point at Scoops Ahoy when he tried to remember you from school, “Didn’t you use to hang out with Munson?” You’d simply walked away, the need to organize the back freezers suddenly becoming an urgent task. Steve thankfully let it go and forgot about it quickly, never bringing it up again.
You smile as you see the two through the glass doors, standing behind the counter and bickering about god knows what. The ringing of the bell on the doors grabs their attention, eyes landing on you. Robin dramatically lays her upper body limp across the counter and groans.
“Oh, my savior. Steve is boring me out of my mind and we haven’t had a customer in like, an HOUR.”
Steve rolls his eyes, hands on his hips. “I am not boring, thank you very much.” He whines before offering you a soft smile, leaning on his forearms against the counter as you approach. “How was washing dishes?”
You grumble in response, “About as exciting as watching paint dry. Decided to come and provide y’all some clearly much needed entertainment.” You say with a smile that quickly falters as you look down at your hands, fidgeting with the edge of the counter, “I um- I actually came to talk to you guys about something… maybe get some advice.”
Robin quirks up at that, standing at full attention. Steve straightens up a little too, nodding his head at you. This is the first time they could recall you ever coming to them for advice, tending to keep most personal things to yourself.
“Of course, what’s going on?”
“So, I don’t know how much you guys remember me from before, like from the last time I lived here. But um, I used to be really good friends with Eddie… Eddie Munson. Best friends actually.”
When Steve’s eyebrows furrow, Robin’s eyebrows rise, eyes widening in recognition.
“Wait, Eddie? As in ‘Freak of Hawkins’?”
“Yeahhhh, I remember seeing you guys in the halls at school. Two cute little outcasts against the world.” She smirks as she stares off, lost in memory. Your eyebrows scrunch together, scoffing out a laugh as you shake your head.
“First off,” you point a finger at Steve. “Don’t call him that, I caught your tone. And uh, in case you didn’t realize Stevie boy, you yourself are friends with a ‘freak’.” you say gesturing toward yourself.
“And secondly,” you turn your attention to Robin, mouth open as you ponder what to say. “Cute? Ya know what, let’s move on.”
“Anyway… we were really close. But, after I moved back to Virginia we lost touch.” You pause, shaking your head at yourself, “No, I lost touch. I uh, stopped returning his calls. It…it was just too much, too painful to hear his voice.” You stare off into the comedy aisle, collecting your thoughts under their gaze you didn’t want to meet just yet. “I didn’t expect him to still be here when I moved back, but he is. And uh, it’s clear he’s upset. I mean he has every right to be. He even overheard that girl Debbie that used to come to Scoops talking to me in class about working there. So now he knows I was visiting in the summers and didn’t see him-”
“Wait, Debbie Harris? She was supposed to call me…” Steve mutters the last part under his breath before Robin snaps her fingers in his face.
“Focus, Steve!”
He gives you a sympathetic look, mouthing ‘sorry’ as he brings his attention fully back to you.
“Look. Long story short, I don’t know what to do. I can’t take having him avoid me and clearly hating me just- in my face everyday. I miss him. I know I need to fix this, I just… I don’t know how.” You finish, running your fingers through your hair.
Robin and Steve stare at you in silence for a moment, you can practically see the cogs turning in their brains.
After a moment, Steve leans a little closer toward you. Eyes squinting as he reads your face.
“You love him, don’t you?”
Your eyes widen, eyebrows shooting up in shock as your mouth hangs open. You quickly scoff out a laugh, shaking your head as you try to play your reaction off.
“I-Well of course I do. He was my best friend for like 6 years!”
Robin tilts her head slightly as she meets your eyes, both giving you a look that says they see right through you. You feel your throat tighten, cornered by knowing eyes.
“Alright, maybe this was a bad idea coming here-” You begin to say, throwing your hands up as you take a step back from the counter.
“No no no. Come on” Steve says, beckoning you back. When you do, he continues. “Look, the only way you’re gonna fix this is if you just talk to him and try to explain your side of things.”
“I know.” You say, sighing as you lean your arms against the counter. “I’m just afraid that whatever I say, it’s not gonna be enough. You know?”
“Well if you guys were as close as it seems, he knows you. Maybe it’ll be easier than you think for him to understand?” Robin adds, a sympathetic and encouraging smile on her face. Steve nods in response.
“And I mean sure, he’s angry. But he probably wants to fix things just as much as you do.” Steve finishes, looking at you with genuine care in his eyes. You take a deep breath, allowing a small smile to appear on your face as you look at your friends and nod softly.
“Yeah, you’re probably right. I think I just needed to hear it from someone else. Thanks guys, I don’t know what I’d do without you.” you say, thankful to have them in your life.
“Don’t mention it, Y/L/N” Steve says, offering a wink and a smile. You can only roll your eyes at him playfully in response.
“Well, I know you guys gotta close up shop here soon,” you say as you glance at the clock on the wall. “Butttt, I was wondering if you maybe wanted to do one of our movie nights tomorrow after work?”
Robin and Steve turn towards each other. You laugh as Robin begins to bounce on her heels,
“Yes yes yes!”
“It’ll be a late one, but I’m down.”
“Good,” you smile. “Aaaaand if I remember correctly, it’s my turn to pick.”
Steve groans in response, “Fine, but nothing too gory this time. I can handle some horror but ugh, no guts please!” his face scrunches in disgust, shaking his head as he turns to finish some closing tasks.
“Don’t worry, Stevie. I think I’m feeling something different this time.” You laugh as you grab your keys. “Thanks again, guys.” You bid them farewell so they can finish up closing for the night.
Steve and Robin gave you just what you thought they would, the validation of your own thoughts on what to do, and the push you needed to actually do it. They helped to calm some of your anxiety about it, but not all. You just need to figure out when to talk to him. Maybe you could go over to the trailer to talk to him? It definitely wasn’t a conversation you wanted to have at school. Tomorrow wouldn’t work; you knew from the boys that they had Hellfire after school on Fridays. You had to work and hang-out with Steve and Robin anyway.
Nope, can’t do Saturday either. Maybe Sunday? Yeah, Sunday. I’ll just walk over to Uncle Wayne’s and talk to him. It’ll turn out better than you think it will. It will. You try telling yourself, attempting to carry Rob and Steve’s optimism.
It’ll be okay. You reassure yourself as you spare a glance at the trailer across the street. Noticing a dim light through the curtains of a window you knew too well, before you shut and lock your front door.
Friday, September 20th, 1985
Putting your conversation with Eddie off until Sunday helps to alleviate some of your anxiety. Your schoolwork and handful of quizzes you have today takes your mind off him as well. Starting at Hawkins High weeks after the year began meant you already have work to catch up on. As tedious as it is, it’s a welcomed distraction from worries about salvaging your friendship with Eddie. You’ve spent every afternoon this past week trying to complete your catch-up work, determined to get good grades that’ll help you get into college and a step closer into full adult independence. You’ve put a solid dent in the stack of schoolwork too, as well as your stash you brought with you from Virginia, needing some way to cope with the stress. You’re going to need to find someone you could buy from here in Hawkins soon.
After a last-minute study session with Robin in the library during lunch, the stress leaves you in dire need of a quick smoke break before your next class. You say goodbye to Robin, wishing her a good shift and sharing excitement over the continuation of your movie nights before leaving the library. You walk down the near empty hallway with a few minutes to spare before the bell signaling the end of the lunch period rings. You reach into your bag to fish out your cigarettes as you approach the back doors of the school near the football field, an unofficial smoking spot for students.
Just as you begin to inhale the fresh air, it’s knocked out of your lungs as you step outside and collide with someone. A simple case of someone heading to go inside as you go out, you assume.
“Oop, sorry-” you begin immediately, falling short as your eyes rise to look at the person you’d nearly shoulder checked.
Shit. Both your eyes widen, your mouth falling open as your brain stumbles in shock, trying to figure out what to do. In the split second of recognition, Eddie’s features harden, jaw tightening. He moves to continue to walk past you toward the door you just came out of.
Now’s your chance! It’s not the ideal circumstances, but when a chance like this falls into your lap you can’t let it pass. Just as his hand grabs the door handle, your own reaches to grab his arm.
“Eddie, wait!” you feel and see his entire body tense under your touch. You take a deep breath as your grip on his arm loosens and begins to pull away.
“Can we please just talk?” you plead, voice soft. You hear him laugh in disbelief before he turns back to face you, eyebrows furrowed.
“Oh, so now you want to talk to me?” he asks. His voice is as hard as his features, eyes glaring at you. Your breathing begins to quicken, gulping as your throat runs dry.
“Y-yes. Look Eddie, I’m really sorry. I guess I thought I was doing what was best for me, and for you. I-”
He scoffs, taking a small step closer to you. “And who are you to decide what’s best for me, huh?” his voice raises slightly. You feel your chest tighten, convinced that the blush that has no doubt started to cover your cheeks has spread there too. You feel the rise and fall of your chest as you take quick, short breaths. “You know, I really thought you were different. But you showed me you’re just like everyone else. Just throw me to the side like trash when you’ve had your use of me, right?” he finishes through gritted teeth.
You feel so fucking small. Others have made you feel this way before. Mainly your mom and some bullies in the past, but never Eddie, and that made it feel so much worse. You can’t stop your eyes from beginning to water with tears, biting your bottom lip to keep it from quivering.
“No…No, Eddie I swear it wasn’t like that. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I just-” you voice comes out weaker than you’d like, embarrassment and guilt overtaking your mind and body.
“Well you did! You think you can just take that back like it’s nothing?” you flinch involuntarily as his voice rises further in anger and hurt. You stare up into his burning eyes as a tear falls from yours. You stand there, staring at each other for a moment before you speak up again.
“I’m so sorry, Eddie” your voice betrays you, cracking as you force the words out of your dry throat. You can’t think of anything else to say under his fiery gaze, your brain turning into a jumbled mess. He shakes his head at you, jaw tensing.
“Yeah? Well, I don’t want to hear it. So why don’t you scurry off to your new boyfriend, ‘King Harrington’!” he seethes out in bitterness, “and don’t give me those crocodile tears, Y/N. It’s not gonna work this time.” he scoffs, shaking his head at you in a mixture of anger and disbelief. You look at him in shock, unable to believe those words just came from his mouth.
He knows why you tend to avoid confrontation. Why you turn red and tears burn your eyes when someone raises their voice at you, or when you decide to be vulnerable with someone close. Eddie had been the only person you ever felt truly safe to be vulnerable with. Past experiences left you misunderstood, belittled, lectured, and emotionally neglected, but never by Eddie. He knows how much it takes for you to cry in front of someone. How much it takes for you to let yourself cry in front of someone. He knows, but he can’t stop himself from saying the words that’ll drive a knife right through your heart. All rational thinking out the window, his anger taking the driver’s seat.
His words transfer the same feelings onto you. Lighting a fire within your body, blazing behind your eyes. It barely takes a second for the wave of anger to crash onto you. Before you can stop yourself, your hand shoots out and connects with his cheek in a loud smack. It takes Eddie a moment to register what just happened as he stares at the brick wall his head is now facing. Did you really just slap him? You’d never hit him like that before, nothing beyond playful slaps or punches on his arm. He knew you harbored anger and aggression inside from your past just like he did, but he’d never seen you lash out on someone like this, and certainly not him. He can’t say he should really be surprised, given the hurtful words hurled from his mouth. That thought doesn’t extinguish his anger though, as he turns his gaze back onto you.
“Fuck you!” You snap, pointing your finger in his face. It’s all you can muster saying in the moment, your whole body on fire and vibrating in anger.
You push past him, throwing open the door back into the school just as the bell ending lunch rings. You quickly wipe your tear-streaked face with your hand as you stomp down the hallway. You take deep breaths, attempting to calm your breathing as you follow the hall to the front doors of the school. You need that smoke break even more now than before, especially if you’re gonna have to sit through a few more hours of quizzes and classes… with Eddie. You light a cigarette as soon as you step out the doors. Pacing back and forth in a short line, hoping the nicotine will help to calm your nerves.
You expected him to be angry, you could see it from the moment your eyes met on your first day, but you never expected him to stoop so low. Poking at the sensitive spots of your psyche you’d only revealed to him. Maybe you deserved it, maybe this is your karma personally delivered by the very person you hurt. You scoff as you think over his comment about Steve. Your new boyfriend, “King Harrington”? The fuck is he going on about? You figure he’d seen you, Steve, and Robin in the parking lot after your first day. Including your hug with Steve. You didn’t know hugging a guy automatically made him your boyfriend.
You finish the cigarette as the warning bell rings. You check your face and makeup in your compact mirror, taking another deep breath before venturing back into the school. You aren’t sure how you’re gonna be able to focus at all, thoughts still racing through your mind as you enter your English class. You refuse to meet eyes with anyone. Although you wouldn’t be meeting Eddie’s anyway, as his seat remains empty through the entire class period, as well as in your last class of the day.
Eddie once again secludes to his spot in the woods behind the school. Pacing, smoking, and failing to attempt to focus on last minute touches to tonight’s Hellfire campaign. After a short while the sting on his cheek fades, but still leaves a red-hot warmth in its wake. Maybe he deserved it for hitting a sensitive spot of yours, or maybe you deserved it after breaking his heart. He can’t make up his mind on which is right, telling himself he doesn’t care either way.
You waste no time darting out of your last class when the bell rings, grabbing the last of your things from your locker in record time. Your body had calmed slightly over the last 3 periods of the day since your fight with Eddie, but not your mind. You ruminate on the words said over and over, thinking of different things you wish you had said in the moment. You’re so consumed in your own thoughts you barely register the laughs and voice of some meathead standing at his locker with his buddies just as you begin to pass them.
“Watch out boys, it’s Miss Piggy” he snickers to his other jock buddies huddled around him, giggling like he just said the funniest joke on earth. Jason Carver. You just barely recognized the twerp from when you used to live in Hawkins. Though you’d learned to filter most of it out, you’d caught a few comments and looks from him here and there in the past week you’ve been here. You’d just ignored him, deciding it wasn’t worth your acknowledgement.
Well, not today. You might regret it, but he caught you at the wrong goddamn time.
“Jesus Christ. Grow the fuck up, Carver.” You snarl, rolling your eyes as you continue walking past them.
“The hell you just say to me?!”
Without missing a beat, you throw a middle finger in the air back at them. Not even sparing a backward glance, as much as you’d love to see the look on his face, as you step out the front doors and make a beeline for your truck.
You hop in, quickly turning your key in the ignition.
You’re thankful it’s Friday and you don’t have to give the boys a ride. They’ll be occupied with Hellfire after school, meaning you don’t have to deal with Dustin’s prying questions once he reads you like a damn book.
You head home to pack a change of clothes and grab the movie you picked for movie night before changing into your work clothes.
For the first time in your life, you’re hoping for a busy dinner rush at the restaurant. Anything to keep your mind busy and distracted from the persistent thoughts of him. You get your wish, tonight is no exception to the usual Friday night dinner rush. A steady flow of dishes coming back to the kitchen for you to clean. Unfortunately, not even the music on the radio in the kitchen or non-stop motions of dishwashing are enough to keep the thoughts of him from bursting through your mind.
However, the busyness of the night does help to quiet the thoughts slightly, and makes the hours go by quickly. Before you know it, it’s 11pm when you’re done with your closing tasks. Clocking out, you enter the cool September evening air with a pep in your step, excited to meet up with Steve and Robin. Knowing their presence alone along with one of your favorite comfort movies will help to lighten your mood a bit.
You know the two should be preparing to close around now. You pull into the Family Video parking lot at the perfect timing, just as they’re locking the doors. They throw excited waves your way, before climbing into Steve’s car and driving toward Steve’s house, your car following closely behind. You roll down your window, letting the cool night air wash over your warm face, and turn the radio on to the local rock station.
Given the passing hours and prospect of movie night, you’ve mostly calmed down since your fight with Eddie. Body no longer on edge and shaking with anger. Your heart still carries a heaviness to it, and your thoughts mostly remain the same. You hate how hard it is for your mind to let things go, to not constantly ruminate about things.
Caught on a one-way street
The taste of bittersweet
Love will survive somehow, some way
You haven’t been able to let the feelings of hurt and anger from Eddie’s words go yet. You know they’ll stick with you for days, maybe weeks. Hell, maybe you’ll never be able to let it go. Every word he said floats through your head. Now that you’re not as activated, you recognize he was only wanting to hurt you back for hurting him. You figure his comment about Steve probably stemmed from jealousy. Maybe he thought you replaced him with Steve. The accusing him of being your boyfriend part still confuses you, but you decide it’s something maybe you won’t ever understand.
One love feeds the fire
One heart burns desire
I wonder, who's crying now?
You don’t blame Eddie for wanting to hurt you back. Still, part of you feels like you didn’t deserve the spiteful comments. As you replay his words in your head for the 100th time today, the sting in your chest doesn’t lessen, now threatening to spread to your eyes. You cough, rapidly blinking to stubbornly push the tears away before they can even well in your eyes. Goosebumps spread across your skin as you take in the words of the Journey song playing on the radio.
So many wrongs or rights
Neither could change their headstrong ways
And in a lover's rage
They tore another page
The fighting is worth the love they sav-
You hastily turn off the radio, choosing to sit in silence for the few remaining minutes of the drive to Steve’s. You’ve managed to live without Eddie in your life for 2.5 years now. Sure, it’s hurt like hell, and this time you have to actually physically see him. But you can continue to live without him, you decide. Maybe holding onto the hurt from his words will help, make it easier to move forward without him. You don’t know, but you’re gonna have to try. That much is clear.
You take a deep breath as you park your car behind Steve’s in his driveway. Gathering your things, you’re greeted by hugs in the middle of the driveway. You avoid talking too much about your day outside of work, opting to redirect the conversation to their days as Steve unlocks the front door, laughing at their stories of clueless customers.. If they’ve noticed your avoidance in talking about your day or an off-ness to your demeanor, they don’t mention it.
You needlessly ask Steve if you can shower to rid yourself of the smell of grease before the movie, already knowing he’d say yes. Turns out it’s just what you need, walking back out to the living room in your pajamas feeling more relaxed. Steve and Robin have changed too, sitting on the sofa replaying the events of their shift. You notice the coffee table is already filled with your staple movie night snacks and drinks.
“So, what bloody slasher will I be forced to endure tonight?” Steve asks as you round the couch to stand in front of them.
“No bloody slashers tonight, Stevie.” You laugh as you reach for your movie in your overnight bag. “Tonight, we will be watching… Grease 2.” You announce with a smile, completely shocking Steve. Robin nods in agreement to the movie, grabbing the bowl of popcorn as she gets comfortable in her seat on the couch. As a band kid, you knew Robin would be down for it, loving practically any musical.
Steve, on the other hand, was skeptical.
“Grease…2? The nowhere near as good sequel?” He asks with furrowed brows and a slight frown.
“Steve, have you ever even watched it?” you sigh, putting your hands on your hips.
“Well, no… but I’ve heard-”
“Let me just stop you there. Look, I love the original Grease just as much as anyone. I’ve watched it at least 100 times. I even had to buy another copy of it cause I burned through the first one watching it so much. It’s a classic, yes. However, I personally prefer the sequel.” When Steve’s face continues to meet yours in confusion and disbelief, you continue. His and Robin’s eyes follow you as you slowly pace back and forth in front of them. “It’s… campy, and fun! The songs are fun, the character’s are fun. And it works because it doesn’t take itself too seriously. AND the gender reversal with the guy being the one who’s chasing after the ‘cool’ girl, learning how to ride a motorcycle and changing his style to win her attention is, I think, a perspective shift much needed in this day and age.” You ramble, pointing at Steve as his eyebrows rise, Robin watching you in amusement.
“So yes, we will be watching Grease 2 because it is one of my comfort films and you know what… I really need that tonight.” You sigh as you finish, finally stopping your pacing. You watch as they take in your words, the shift in tone and demeanor at the end. Before they can say or ask anything, you quickly start up again.
“And besides, Steve, are you really going to let the opinions of others influence your own before you’ve even given it a chance?” You ask, looking at him expectantly. “And you’re really gonna tell me you don’t want to watch 90 minutes of Michelle Pfiefer looking totally hot and badass while singing and dancing?” you finally finish, hands on your hips as you look at him. Robin looks at Steve with a grin, completely amused as she throws more popcorn into her mouth.
“Yeah, Steve. Are you really going to let yourself be a mindless follower and conformist?” Robin pokes, smirking with a mouthful of popcorn.
Steve sighs, realizing this is yet another argument he will not win against you.
“You’re right, you’re right. Okay, I’ll keep an open mind!” he states, raising his hands in surrender.
“Good.” You state with a self-satisfied smile as you pop the tape into the VHS player, plopping down on the couch in the middle of the two.
Watching one of your favorite comfort films with your best friends gives you just what you expected, completely taking your mind off the events of the day. Drinking your favorite soda and eating your favorite snacks. You and Robin sing and shimmy along to the songs, laughing at the stupid jokes and silly characters. A few peeks at Steve show he’s fully immersed, specifically in the scenes with Pfieffer, just as you predicted. You even catch him laughing at a few points throughout the film, especially during the ‘Reproduction’ number. Towards the end of the film, you feel Robin’s head rest on your shoulder. You start to feel yourself growing tired as well, the stress of the day and late night hour setting in. As the film finishes you look at Steve, waiting for his opinion.
“Alright, I’ll give it to you. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be. I still think the first one is better though.”
“Alright, that’s fair.” you say to him with a soft smile. “Thanks for giving it a chance anyway, for me.”
“Anytime.” he smirks at you before stretching with a yawn. “Well, I think I’m gonna call it a night. The spare room is open for you as usual.”
“Sounds good, besides the fact I have this big sleeping baby on my shoulder.” you giggle as you take a peek at Robin, soft snores escaping her open mouth.
“I got this” he states as he gets up, gently maneuvering Robin’s body off your shoulder and towards the arm of the couch.
You yawn and stretch as you stand, telling Steve goodnight as you head upstairs to the spare bedroom he’s let you crash in after every late movie night over the summer. You groan softly as you snuggle under the cool comforter, feeling the sweet release of sleep quickly approaching. This night was just what you needed after today. All worries pushed away to deal with later.

Hi there ,I really like your writing! So I wanted to ask you how the demon brothers would react to a MC turning into a little toddler ? (Because of some spell/forbidden book curse etc,you choose) MC being super adorable and sweet like the "perfect" toddler somewhat? Being a little funny too and giggling/smiling a lot ,also loving the brothers and being very comforting with them!
ahhh i wish my own toddler was so nice and sweet lmao
he is though but only if i let him get what he wanted
Toddler MC
Lucifer:
• Sigh
• The only other person not out of their mind in this house turned into a toddler somehow
• Pretty sure it was a curse against him
• Listen dear I doubt he gets along with a toddler for an entire day
• Though you being nice to him, showing him daffodils, rocks with your sticky little hands, hugging his leg until he picks you up helps a lot.
• He is in his prime during bedtime; reading you stories is his favourite part of the day. You are a good, curious kid & never throw a tantrum when he is with you. It is so peaceful he doesn’t actually want it to end. He tells you another story even if he has already told you 4.
Mammon:
• Oh jesus thank God you were turned into a toddler and not him!
• At first he isn’t too sure about what to do with you but quickly gets the hang of playing a bit roughly
• You know the kind of playtime moms don’t wanna see
• He spins you around, hangs you upside down, throws you into a pile of pillows, lets you sit on his neck, throws you in the air, stuff like this.
• It does good for your confidence levels regarding child development plus! you get tired super fast after spending time with him.
• You, him and Levi have a freeze dance competition every afternoon! Sometimes they won’t let you win though.
Leviathan:
• Doesn’t really know what to do with you either. In fact he is scared of you a little.
• You clinging to him, throwing kisses etc. melts him eventually, you are just so adorable he was an idiot to be scared of you.
• Definitely loves to roleplay with you. Comes up with the cutest storylines, though sometimes it gets so complicated you miss it here and there.
• He can easily keep you busy for 3 hours a day and never ever complains
Satan:
• Highkey concerned about the situation
• Never ever seen a toddler before
• His concerns leave him once he sees that you are actually a good little one.
• So now it is his duty to teach you mischief!
• He spends lots of time teaching you to speak as you haven’t said a comprehensible word yet.
• His strategy is referring to himself as „Tantan” but he calls everybody else „The Avatar of” or „The sixth born”, you know, so there is absolutely 0% chance your first word isn’t Tantan. Or maybe kitty/cat, that’s also a phrase you hear quite frequently.
Asmodeus:
• I think he is the only one who gushes over you right away.
• Doesn’t want you to turn back, look at how adorable your cheeks are!!!
• Spends most of his money on new clothes for you, you have to be the all time most fashionable toddler in the city.
• Loves to have tea parties but tbh that’s pretty much it, not sure what/how else to play but he does everything else!! Very enthusiastic and overprotective!!
• He also gets you this helmet so everytime you might fall you’re not going to hit your head. You are so spoiled my dear
Beelzebub:
• Also thinks you are super adorable. Might eat you if you are with him too much.
• Takes you out to the city with him, you must learn how to get food!
• Introduces you to ketchup
• He takes you to the playground the most.
• He is def not the most violent of the guys but trust me you are very well protected and safe!
Belphegor:
• Doesn’t really like what’s going on right now to be fair
• But at least you are nice so that makes it easier
• His preference is cuddling and having a snack with you as you watch TV
• One time he got you chicken to eat.
-Mr.Belphie I don’t like chicken...
-Ah. But it’s not chicken, actually it’s dolphin!
-Oh! Y/N loves dolphin!
