If they thought Maria Hill dying was essential to the story? Fine. If Cobie Smulders wanted out? Fine. Why couldn't she just die in Episode 4 alongside Talos? And wouldn't a better death be for her to take a bullet for Fury and tell him to keep going while she dies in his arms? Yeah, I like Fury and Talos acting like they're married, too. But Maria's not some one-off, she's Fury's right hand woman and best friend! A position she's held since the first Avengers film. She deserved a much better death than what she was given.

Dishonorable mention for changing her nickname from Doctorine to just “doctor.” Doctorine is such a cute name but it also shows her pride as a doctor. In Japanese “Doctorine” sounds like “Catherine,” which is a name closely associated with classic romance novels and shojo manga from the 60s and 70s - think Rose of Versaille. It makes her sound both really old fashioned and also girlish. Even though most of that context would be lost on English readers, we would at least have been able to understand that Kureha likes to go by a nickname. When that nickname is turned into a title it makes her seem more like a stickler for the rules which she definitely is not.

With the additional context from the SBS that appeared right before this chapter, we can now understand that when Kureha asks “are you happy?” she’s really asking “how are you feeling?” Or, we would have, if they hadn't butchered the translation...

I looove the opening scene of Nyra on Syrax, and the following sequence. It's majestic and I adore the score in the back. (It's called 'Rhaenyra's welcome' and it sounds so happy, pure and innocent I can't 😭)

Corlys was done with everyone's bs in that Small Council meeting lol

The first time we see Alicent I thought to myself omg she's so cute. Look at her in her pretty blue dress. And then it struck me - her and Nyra will be the bitterest of enemies by ep6 💀💀

Aemma did not deserve any of what happened to her. We only saw her for a little while, but I know she was a good Queen, a kind Queen and she deserved a better husband than Viserys.

I love this song particularly this part because— “Even those tears, I me mine” implies even their crying is pitying themself, sobbing “me me, I’m crying, it’s all about me” that even something like crying is still about their own ego. They’re still only thinking about themselves in the situation.

I think it has a dual meaning because it could also mean even through tears, all he hears is the sound of “I, me, mine” not even crying will stop others selfishness. This contributes to the fact I think this song is about George coming to terms with his own ego, and how he starts to notice more and more as the people around him show off their ego too.

I’m not saying this song is about John and Paul but I’m… implying it. I think George felt underrepresented with how the other two were in the spotlight and creating songs, and arguing with each other about what direction to take the band. George couldn’t stand that kind of behavior, and all he saw— all he heard— was “I, me, mine” as Paul and John didn’t consider others opinions other than their own.

The song is about Georges own ego as well as his band mates- and everyone in the world. It’s about his realization that human ego is selfish and how he cannot stand that ego. He hates looking at things from that point of view, but “all through your life” implies it’s been like this for a long time. It’s not recent, and it won’t just end here. People will always put themselves before others, and “I me mine” is a commentary about Georges feelings on ego.

I love the meaning of it without any context, but with the context of it being written during the bands tense period of 1969, it’s important in retrospect. Paul and John butting heads had an effect on George, and it’s clear to me listening to this song how much it really hurt him.

WOW. Wow. George Harrison was a lyrical genius and I really think he deserves more credit for the Beatles best songs.

his very own “best friends” didnt even leave him with not even a shred of comfort or closure; he was a good boy who just wanted his father to be okay and he died without ever knowing whether all the atrocities he committed had even saved his father in the first place from the colonial power that is marley

the only thing he’s ever wanted was to protect the ones he loves and his love ones can’t even acknowledge his pain or what he went through when he was used as their scapegoat for their crimes. eren literally changed the whole course of history to exploit him in order for the rumbling to happen yet bertholdt is still blamed for thst shit. he didn’t get to have any dreams or aspirations bc he was too busy worrying abt reiner losing his mind. his last few moments was fighting to stop the inevitable slaughter that will continue if he doesn’t fight. he doesn’t want to put any more people through the hell he will always reside in - that is why he fights, and he didn’t even get to accomplish this goal. literally everybody else in the whole entirety of the manga got to accomplish whatever their goal was, all the other characters got a consolation prize. what does he get? his want to protect the people he loves was twisted into some sinister evil goal by the majority of the aot fandom like the scouts didnt enable a whole ass genocide in the name of….friendship i guess?

bertholdt cared about the warrior candidates before he even met them. bertholdt cares about anyone who’s ever been lost. no one even cares about his pain, no one ever cares that he was exploited. he’s just there, he came and he left and he had to accept that he will forever be a weapon for a country that hates him and a monster to the people said country sent him off to kill.
