Aziraphale/Crowley for ship opinion bingo?

Okay, this is my first time filling out one of these, I'm not sure I'm doing this right? But let's go.

Okay so, going into Good Omens I was intruiged. Hanging around tumblr I had of course heard about ineffable husbands, and I was wondering what made them such a popular ship. Reading the book was mostly an exercise in 'ok, I can see why people ship this', but it didn't really sell them to me? The TV series and it's little moments throughout Crowley's and Aziraphale's shared history really helped. They're canon to me (and as per word of god, which I'll take here).

Their relationship is super sweet, and hmmm dedication really is good with them, especially on Crowley's part. Both of them are also occassionally super stupid, and I have had some fun reading about that. Considering the end of the 1st season of the series...well, they probably aren't the MOST codependant bitches on earth, but, well, they do rely heavily on each other. There is, in the end, only their side for them; the two of them, and the friends they've made along the way. While 'freaks' is probably a little harsh, both of them were outsiders in their respective faction, so they get that point too.

I don't think I need to explain how their relationship is thematically super juicy.

The last two might seem contradictory, but they really aren't: they're in a relationship, not sure which one; and not dating, but they're married. I honestly have no idea what they've got going on, except that they love each other and the world. But they bicker and they're there for each other and they have a little bit of an 'we'll be together in sickness and in health, til death do us part' kinda vibe to them. So yes. They're married to me.

It's funny though, because I think I should ship them harder? They are right up my alley, after all. I've read some fanfic of them, and it was perfectly competent? But it didn't grip me, and I couldn't stick around. I think I just...like the canon, as it is? With the quiet, calm trust in their relationship.

(They do have some absolutely stunning artworks though. Like holy shit.)

It's not as much my thing as it is yours, and you and @nonbinaryrhyme hit all the points SO well! I don't really have much else to add tbh. It's interesting! They are petty and bitter and both care about Neku, and feeling out each other involves coping with mutual jealousy and sometimes that ends up with VERY bad decisions. But they get to be petty bitches together!

You've seen this already Socks but, This Isn't Your Universe (potentially better title pending, June 2018), I'm still emotionally attached to it even if I don't remember where I wanted it to go

“Okay, what the fuck?” He scrambles to his feet, propping himself up on the wall to his left. He doesn’t have much energy left, but this has to be a trick, some bad plot to fool him, and he doesn’t have the capacity to deal with whatever bullshit this is. Electricity crackles in the palm of his hand, building up, readying to discharge, and-- Joshua is there. Standing between him and the imposter, batting away the lightning like it’s a crumpled up wad of paper. Wings flare, stretching out further than Neku has ever seen, as he takes a defensive stance to shield the fake Neku. White light burns at his edges, filled with holy righteousness, and Neku makes the mistake of glancing at his eyes. It sears him, fire consuming him from the inside out, for just a second, but that second is enough. He collapses back to the ground, holding his head as the remainder of his strength ebbs away. “This isn’t your universe, Neku Sakuraba,” Joshua says, voice echoing, crackling with raw energy. “Whatever issues you have in your own, do not bring them here, and do not dare to disrupt the flow of my world.”
