Plot:

The Maiden must live a solitary life until he is given to the gods at his Ascension, a fate Jimin dreads, despite it being considered the highest honor. Jimin is forbidden from going out with friends, not that he had any, he is forbidden from having a normal life, not that he complies to the rules, obviously. But things change when he gets a new guard, the attractive and alluring Min Yoongi, Jimin finds himself drawn to him, despite knowing that it could make the gods deem him unworthy. However, with a fallen kingdom on the rise, Jimin not only has to worry about losing the gods’ approval, but also his own life.

I need help finding a fic please, it’s a BTS Yoonmin fic and I’ll list everything I remember. It’s on AO3 though.

Yoongi and Jimin end up accidentally married (I think it might be omega verse and they mate) - they don’t know each other before this

Yoongi is a producer along with Namjoon (and possible Hobi)

Jin is a lawyer

Kookie and Tae are in the same idol group with a random person

Namjin are together with children

Jimin moves in with Yoongi and they live in the same area as Namjin

I think J-Hope and IU are together but I’m not sure

Jimin’s mum is ill and I’m pretty sure she dies

The only scene I remember is that Jin hosts regularly dinners for everyone and Jimin’s not invited but shows up for some separate reason and gets all sad.

Just finished reading Misunderstanding by deep blue waters on AO3 and i am not sure I am okay. That tag Jimin needs a hug is a very good tag and trigger warning. 😁 i cried for Jimin and i think the author did such a good job with the plot and everything.

hey, do you have any jikook fics to recommend? I loved your two last ones, i sent you an ask saying thank you for the recommendation but seems like it got lost in the lights lol. So yeah i loved those recommendations (i did already read one of it but re-read it on your recommendation) so if you have any more to recommend I'd love it. Sorry anon, your message must have indeed gotten lost somewhere among the others. But to compensate for that and to not be rude, I'll offer you some quick recs now.

First one would be Agency. It's a/b/o and I know I said I'm not a fan of it, but somehow I gave this one a chance and I don't regret it. It was a critical take on the concept and the dynamics, challenging traditional notions of a/b/o and more so, the author used it as a criticism/mirror to the control the talent agencies and companies have over their trainees and signed artists. The a/b/o trope turned into a metaphor on how one had control over their body and how that body is used for various purposes by other people. I think it was a really interest way to make a critique on kpop as well and it made me think of the way we talk about idols as well, often times if not fully, on the line of objectification.

There's few people that I like the way they write Jungkook as a character because they stay away from ridiculous stereotypes and also give him so much depth. Rkiveink is one of them and I think Floodlight has been read by so many, but it's definitely high on my rec list.

God, are you there? I never thought I would power through a chaptered fic that had a serious taekook relationship and also some yoonmin, but damn, it was worth it. If you're willing to give this a chance, I don't think you would regret it. I did it because I've read other fics from the same author so I trusted the process. The summary doesn't tell you much, but jikook are really fun in this one and by the time in gets to the tension, and the flirting while knowing they shouldn't be doing it, you'll be on the edge of your seat. I actually read this while it was ongoing and I couldn't wait for the next chapter.

i’m writing a fan fiction between two characters and i’m confused on how to write the dialogue. i was wondering if you had any tips on that?

Hi bestie !! I’m excited for you! I’ll admit that sometimes I have a hard time with dialogue too, so you’re so valid for that. I will also admit that I’ve had a few cocktails tonight so this advice might be bad !! 🤪

Sometimes when I’m stuck on a scene, I only write the dialogue. our brains get so focused on making the descriptions, imagery, and actions perfect that we lose the dialogue sometimes. Maybe try only writing what’s being said in a scene, and then going back to add the rest later

Also consider character planning. How do the characters speak? Do they use slang? Are they into using fancy words or simpler diction? Sometimes it depends on their upbringing or their level of education. Or perhaps they’re a vampire who has lived for hundreds of years and hasn’t gotten caught up with the times!

Consider the relationship between the two characters. Do they bicker? Are they besties? Is one older than the other or trying to impress the other? Is one more vulgar and the other more proper?

I’m also a fan of reading my writing out loud. I think that’s a good way to tell if the dialogue feels natural. Cuz you don’t always have to say everything. Sometimes a scene is great with very little dialogue.

I’m gonna put some of my favorite scenes I’ve written under the cut that have to do with dialogue as an example. I hope this helps!! I know it’s not perfect and I’m definitely not an expert writer, but this is basically how I think through my fics

I love the characters in this fic cuz they’re just a bunch of stoners in their 20s who find out aliens exist lmfaoooo so I get to have a lot of fun with really casual dialogue and slang, and the characters are high for most of the fic so it’s a chance to play around with intoxicated dialogue

This dialogue also gives me a chance to tell my readers that Taehyung named Yoongi’s car Mary Jane (marijuana - if you didn’t get the joke lol) without having to literally write “taehyung named Yoongi’s car mary jane because they’re stoners” lol yknow?? Showing not telling, and all that jazz

I use little pieces of body language throughout the dialogue so you can have an idea of the visuals that compliment what they’re saying

And I use a moment of silence to emphasize how awkward they’re being with each other - so sometimes what they’re not saying is just as good as what they’re saying

And then this last one is just Yoonmin bickering cuz we love Yoonmin bickering! But i feel like this is a conversation i would have with my little sister lol we’re always teasing each other being annoying

Anyway !!! Like I said, I hope this helps. Idk if I’m good at explaining these things 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I really like to talk about writing!!

Random Facts About About My Stories/Writing:

•Risk it all was going to have a Kuina, Chishiya love triangle (I vetoed the idea)

•My YoonMin Fic was initially a yn x yoongi fic

• Twisted Feelings didn’t gain much traction at first I nearly ended it until a friend told me how much they enjoyed it. (This is why comments and inbox submissions are so important)

• Come Here Sweetheart nearly was scrapped, I found it hard to do.

• I initially didn’t want to write for Niragi but ended up doing it anyway.

• I have so many stories that need editing but not enough time so I hate looking at past work because of the mistakes.

•Trust Me was supposed to be a one shot but I wanted to write more, I was going to turn it into a series and didn’t. Jimin was going to break YNs heart. ( I was depressed lmao)

•I have had a Kuina and Ann 4 chapter fic sitting in my drafts for a year, it’s complete and edited but it but I have a lot of personal stuff in it and it may be too heavy so idk what to do with it.

• I figured out my sexuality/identity after reading/writing The Gentlemen.

• TGM hobi was going to join the relationship (my idea) I changed it when I understood more of what he represented for so many people.

•I want to write me own universe story, I have a few ideas for a story but it would be 200k plus and I can’t decide on the ship. I want to finish all my current stories and then work on it.

•I wrote the first 20 chapters of risk it all in 3 weeks, I was exhausted and left myself so drained. Never do that.

• Many of my story plots started from dreams or one liners I see in random places, I don’t plan many of my stories. Risk it all, trust me and twisted feelings are the only ones.

•I got de@th threats for posting BTS fics but continued anyway bc I have too many ideas.

•I really do have too many ideas and my hands can’t write fast enough. I hate that I can’t get my stories out the way I want too.

• I tend to write between 10pm and 4am I have insomnia and can never really sleep, I edit during the day but very rarely will I write in the day time.

•someone recommended me my own story on Twitter, I felt so good 😭

•In quiet getaway I was going to make it an angst fix with more than 1 chapter but it worked well for the 1000 special. I was worried to post it bc a friend had wrote a similar trope in her story little so you know (recommend it 100) and I didn’t want her to think I copied her.

•we may revisit the futures of the 1000 followers special couples depending on what people want.

•Not So Dinner date was supposed to be Jin x reader but I changed it to Namjoon.

•Risk it all Chishiya was going to kill Niragi

• Risk it all Arisu was going to fight Chishiya but didn’t

•I have risk it alls ending planned out it’s just a matter of writing and posting, I’d say there’s 20-25 more chapters.

•Twisted feelings will have around 40 chapters.

•Hoseok and Jimin were contenders for the day date in the last chapter of TGM but it changed when jimin won the fan gave and Hobi was eliminated

• hobi was going to be angry at yn for eliminating him but I couldn’t do that

I have to say I really don't like bttm yg lovers or ones who like both top/bttm yg because usually those types always end up leaning towards bttm yg anyway. They're attitude in general toward top yg is either apathetic or downright hateful where they accuse us for not understanding yg and his needs and that he's a "babygirl" and "pillow princess that wants to be taken care of and pampered" or "furry omega cat twink" that wants to "get railed by a big muscular tall older men" and jm is secretly "a dom top alpha behind the shy mochi mask". If anything they don't understand the boys or their personalities at all and it shows especially when they constantly make tweets about trying to prove yg is a babygirl and cutesy and jm is a dominant macho man. It shows insecurity and that they so desperately want them to be this way for their own sake and preferences and I fucking hate it! Because then they think it's okay to harass us and try to push more for the bttm yg/top jm agenda.

for clarity, this was sent to me a while ago when the topic was relevant.

i don't have much to object to bc unfortunately, as i've been forced to accept and confront, you're right. i don't say things like this lightly, but (relevant) bttm yg accs on twt seem like the worst type of Unhinged Top/Bottom Stan. which says a lot, they're all bad. but the bttm yg ones are really fucking bad, bc they use faux intellectualism to justify it and there's no accepted counterdialogue to their nonsense & rpf fanon.

they (the fans who participated in this, which were either enough in volume or obnoxiousness to warrant associating them with bttm yg overall) got away with murder, when anti-top yg (& bttm jm) fanwars choked out the massive top yg/bttm jm community in 2018 after a few years of escalating bullying & fighting. i thought i imagined it until 2020, and it took me until 2021 to start believing it. a blog i spoke to/follow ran some numbers once when we discussed it--i lost the graphs on my broken hdd, but something like 1/3-1/4 of yoonmin writers on ao3 stopped posting fics in 2018. it's unlikely those weren't top yoongi writers, as sope on ao3 had a similar drop at the same time.

but it's all old news at this point. given top yg fans still get widely ripped into & the people claiming false narratives about this continue unchallenged, though, i suppose it has to be discussed when brought up. even if i don't want to bc it's so tired and the rhetoric involved is so, so stupid.
