This medium term goal I'm really excited about! Getting started on my ashtanga practice. I've never systematically studied Ashtanga Yoga before. My approach to Yoga has been quite haphazard. I've attended classes at yoga centers based on which classes and teachers I've liked. A mix of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Bikram, Strength Yoga, Hatha, Flow, Restorative, Airal, Yin and different beginner classes.
I tried my first full Primary Series on Saturday 30th of April (and it was rough! I can't do a single jump back and through. I'm really struggling to keep just up with the sun salutations. And my wrist, which I injured in a bike crash many years ago, is acting up and feel really weak.
I've found a nice course on YouTube which starts very gently, so I'm gonna try out that! I've also gotten some books on yoga that I've started reading.
My goal is kinda to keep to my practice every day, but in reality that's gonna be hard. I find that 80% success is often good enough with stuff like this, so if I manage to show up most days I'm happy with that. 🙏🏼🧘🏼‍♀️
