really trying to remember what 6th grade me was thinkin when i was drawin this guy (no name yet that i can remember, i dont think i ever had one) but heres a lazy redesign sketch i did, might flesh it out a bit later if i can find the motivation

inspiration taken from the Sarcastic Fringehead (go give it a google) for the messy sketch lmfao

i met who is now my boyfriend because of this thing, i wouldn't stop doodling it in my notebook in 6th grade and he got mad and called me out in front of my english teacher bc it was demented and i kept purposefully drawing it freakier every time to fuck with him and the rest is history

the mouth used to open all the way down to the collarbone with nothing else, just a really long and thin snout(? idfk) but i didn't like it

90% sure i took inspo from the Yobby (yoshi's dad) post lmfao

the eyes on the head arent actually eyes js little black colored indents that look like it

i don't know where the antlers came from

i think this thing likes birch (or poplar) forests :) the really spooky ones that feel empty

still haven't decided what i want this thing to actually be i js think it looks neat

Kritik Lugas Extreme Decay Dalam Ilustrasikan Distopia dan Reruntuhan Akhir Dunia Lewat Album ‘Downfall Of A God Complex’

Dalam satu tahun belakangan ini sang veteran grindcore asal Malang, Extreme Decay, benar-benar kembali menyalakan amarah mereka dengan melanjutkan beberapa invasi secara berkala. Setelah merilis EP bertajuk Antiviral yang dirilis dalam format kaset dan vinyl 7″, kini Extreme Decay baru saja melesatkan album penuh terbarunya yakni “Downfall Of A God Complex”.

Album tersebut resmi rilis pada 29 April 2022 dibawah bendera label Selfmadegod Records yang sudah dikenal melahirkan album-album grindcore influensial dari Nasum, Antigama, Unholy Grave, Agathocles, dan banyak lainnya. Selfmadegod Records adalah label asal Polandia yang berhasil merealisasikan album Extreme Decay ini dalam format CD, sedangkan kaset tape dirilis oleh label lokal Grieve Records, lalu nantinya akan dilepas juga dalam format vinyl dari gabungan label-label independen asal Eropa dan Amerika.

Extreme Decay masih mempercayakan studio klasik bernama Natural Studio yang masih berdiri sampai sekarang dan berbasis di Surabaya untuk penggarapan recording albumnya. Sebelumnya Extreme Decay juga melewatkan proses recording album Holocaust Resistance di Natural Studio. Sedangkan mixing mastering dikerjakan Yobbi Ananta di Grim Studio, Jakarta. Goresan ilustrasi di kanvas dari Rio Krisma (Penahitam) menambahkan kesan artwork yang sarat akan warna dan tema klasik album Downfall Of A God Complex.

Dalam album terbarunya ini, Extreme Decay mencoba menggambarkan sebuah masa keruntuhan orang-orang yang suka bertindak selayaknya Tuhan. Bersua akan kecaman terhadap kaum yang selalu merasa benar dan paling menang dari segalanya. Suasana distopia dan akhir dunia cukup diwakilkan tiap bait lirik pada album Downfall Of A God Complex. Isu besar di dalamnya juga diangkat dari kehancuran sosial, budaya populer, agama, politik, ekonomi, sampai ekologi yang terjadi di belahan dunia.

Streaming dua bocoran singlenya “Year of the Grind” di sini, dan “Installing The Apocalypse.. 99% Complete” di sini langsung dari kanal Youtube Selfmadegod Records. Rencana ke depan Extreme Decay bakal merilis ulang album fenomenalnya Sampah Dunia Ketiga. Simak semua update terbarunya di sini.
