Random Thoughts during the first two episodes of “The Wrong Jedi” Arc from “The Clone Wars”:

• Part one- Random thoughts during The Clone Wars S5:E17 “Sabotage”:

*R7 really is an underrated droid. I hope he gets to shine in “The Bad Batch” with Ahsoka’s drug-smuggling ex.

*Everyone praises Anakin’s flying abilities, but Ahsoka is a pretty badass pilot herself. I guess most of the Jedi are… those reflexes.

*Ahsoka stole Leia’s line.

*I’ve yet to figure out how Ahsoka saves after jumping out of her ship onto Anakin’s where she loses her footing and goes flying back. It seems to defy all logic. Got to hand it to Ahsoka though…. the kid is athletic AF.

*I find it interesting that the Jedi council had enough faith to put Anakin and Ahsoka in charge of the investigation behind the bombing of the temple because they were NOT THERE when the bomb went off and would be impartial, but then decided that Ahsoka did it a few episodes later.

*I like the fact that Barriss just happens to waltz by right before Anakin starts to interrogate Letta. Subtle touch.

*This episode honestly feels like someone on the creative staff binge-watched a few seasons of CSI and said, “Yep. We’re doing it, but in a different galaxy.”

*”I would have thought working for the Jedi paid better.” -Ahsoka. Yikes. Turns out, no. Those poor folks couldn’t even afford to change out their lightbulbs. They were living in a dark, dingy, seedy apartment in practical squalor.

*Letta just slick pushes a dude into Ahsoka so hard that he falls on top of her. I swear, poor Ahsoka constantly gets dumped on in this series.

*Ahsoka takes the high road. Literal, yet symbolic.

*I like how Anakin says , “no one ever said he was dead”… but like, Ahsoka literally said Jakkar was the bomb in the prior scene, so… that was implied, dumbass.

*I really want the backstory behind Letta feeding the nano droids to Jakkar. Was he a willing participant, or did she and Barriss do some real shady shit? Damn. That story could be insane.

*”There are going to be Jedi that disappoint us, Ahsoka” is the understatement of all-time, but I guess we’re working towards that…

• Part Two- Random thoughts during The Clone Wars S5:E18 “The Jedi Who Knew Too Much”:

*Damn. Who invited Palpatine and Tarkin to the Jedi funeral!?

*Jeeze… I know you’re worried about your grieving girlfriend, Ahsoka, but Yoda called for a moment of silence. So, shhhh!

*The glances that Ahsoka and Barriss keep sharing as they walk down the hallway of the temple after the funeral are dripping with homo-romantic undertones, but do go on telling me that Barrissoka isn’t canon.

*”Revenge is not the Jedi way.”-Anakin. Hmm.

*”The evidence seems clear, Ahsoka, nothing will ever change.” - Barriss. Barriss helped plan the temple bombing, and she is realizing that it served literally no purpose. The war is still raging, people are still dying, and she still can’t be with the girl that she loves. Ouch.

*Ahsoka: I hope Chancellor Palpatine knows what he’s doing.

Tarkin: I assure you he rarely does anything without a strategy.

This line basically tells me that Palpatine planned all of this shit out. It’s a ploy to get Ahsoka out of the picture. Palpatine knows that one way or another, it’s gonna happen after all this.

*The look that Barriss and Ahsoka share as Barriss walks away from their conversation in the hallway was the one that forced me to ship them. It took their relationship right on out of the heteronormative lens for me. There is literally NO heterosexual explanation for THAT LOOK. It’s like the storytellers and animators were basically saying, “we can’t do this outright because it’s a cartoon in 2012, but we’re going to sauce it up with this subtext so if you’re paying attention you’ll see it.” That was my “Hold up. Holy shit! WTF is this!!?” moment.

*Ahsoka just watches Barriss walk down the hall alone. Ahsoka’s face is locked in an excruciating state of angst until Anakin notices, then knowing that his little sister is all about this girl is like, “go be with your friend, Ahsoka.”

*I’ve said it before… the conversation that Ahsoka and Barriss have after Ahsoka chases Barriss down the hall doesn’t feel like it’s all about the temple bombing.

*You can tell that Barriss is upset about her life choices. She sort of winces as Ahsoka runs off, as if to say, “I can’t let her find out that I was behind this.”

*Letta asks for Ahsoka because that’s the only Jedi that Barriss mentioned. I guarantee Barriss doted on Ahsoka constantly. Barriss probably had everyone conviced that Ahsoka was the best Jedi ever (to Ahsoka’s peril).

*Ahsoka’s speeder driving feels kinda reckless. I’m not going to judge. I have no right to judge reckless driving habits.

*I still have doubts that it was Barriss who force chokes Letta from afar (and that it wasn’t Palpatine). What I do know is that Palpatine made sure that Ahsoka was in that cell when it happened.

*The “I don’t know what happened” line did sound guilty. I mean, we all know that Ahsoka didn’t do it, but… I can see why others might think that she did based on her actions.

*Tarkin walking all smugly towards Ahsoka’s holding cell to a remix of the Imperial March isn’t at all suggestive.

*”Curiously, the sound isn’t working on this one.” Hmm. Curious indeed.

*The fact that in two scenes prior Tarkin is telling Ahsoka that the facility is secure, and that they don’t let “just anyone” run about makes me wonder how someone just conveniently placed that key card in front of her cell. It is something else. Shit was an inside job.

*So, then the question becomes, “how did Barriss get in the facility, and why is she so damned terrible at improvisation?!” Did she not stop to think that knocking the Clones out would only make her girlfriend look more guilty? Come on, Barriss.

*Anakin and Rex rushing to the prison to try and save their sister’s ass is a peak big brothers move, and you love to see it.

*Barriss then cuts the clones down with the lightsabers, and you just wonder WTF… like, I know you don’t want to get Ahsoka killed, but you’re going to get Ahsoka killed. And, Ahsoka’s just like, “Shit.”

*Now Rex, you know your little sister did NOT kill those clones.

*Anakin’s harebrained Clones-stunning-Ahsoka training may not have prepped her fully for order 66, but it probably did help her in her prison escape. She hella dodges some stun-firing clones in that sequence.

*The scene before Ahsoka goes full on “The Fugitive” is one of my favorites. She’s borderline hysterical, and it’s got so much unfettered emotion (from both her and Anakin, honestly) that you forget for a moment that they’re even Jedi. The yelling, the arms flailing around, shit… You can tell that she feels completely betrayed, but worse, she knows that she’s f*^%ed.

*Anakin let her go. He could have caught her with the force, but he watched her go. He knew she was right.

Encountered the most TOXIC fucking player holy shit. Played widow, flamed the supports for three whole ass matches and on the third match I won't lie, I showed my ass a little. I was getting some support time in since role queue loves giving me tank and I missed playing some mercy. Literally no sooner than we hit the lobby and this Widow is being absolutely hateful to me bc in the last round I defended someone else playing battle mercy while I was playing DPS Moira. I throw a few messages basically telling her to shove off and go about my match. Tank was not pushing, but I'm keeping my team up and we lose point. No big deal. I'm already 3 rezs deep and it's not my job to make reinhardt move his ass. Drop a catty message about having 3 rezzes and widow comes back with "and 0 Assists" like... OK? You were complaining about heals. Way to move those goalposts bestie. Out of curiosity, I look at team report and she has 777 damage and 0 kills at the end of first objective. Lol. Lmao even. OK.

More stupid catty bullshit I was only really even engaging in because it's 4am and it's the most human interaction I've had in like 6 hours and I'm just returning the energy put into the world. End of match rolls around, I ask to avoid her as teammate because ew and send a friend request to the team Cassidy bc he was chill af and thanked me after each and every rez for 3 matches. Literally think nothing of it.

I'm sitting in queue again and get an invite from the Cassidy. Accept.

Turns out the Widow is grouped to him too. I'm listening to music in another tab and not at all expecting someone to start talking to me and all I can fucking hear is "why'd you add him? Why'd you add him?" Because he's cool tf. Run my mouth a little more, leave the group, send a report and block that widow. Then I got to thinking.

Was she fucking jealous??? I sent a random ass friend request to someone I didn't ever expect to even speak to again and this bitch made him invite me to his group to bitch at me. Did she really fucking think I was gonna seduce this guy with my mad gamer skillz over fucking overwatch quick play????? Yikes.

Anyway there's a Cassidy main out there somewhere with the battle tag Angel who is a real sweetheart, but his maybe girlfriend is a royal fucking cunt. You can do better king, and I hope you do.

For anyone curious this was the end of match report on that Widow as well as my stats for that game where I spent a decent amount of time just bitching in the text channel and not actually playing

have been quite busy spending the past week 'in the barrel'

i have an uncle who's always said 'guess it's my time in the barrel' whenever shit really hit the fan and the norm of life was bad news. don't ask where the phrase comes from, as no one has a clue.

i hesitate to say it's truly barrel time for me as i've defenitely sruvived some bad shit, but here's the recap to date:

while watching over the firing monday, i woke to discover the merciless covid had once again returned to the household. still negative, i spent the day frantically sanitizing and masking with fingers crossed.

was glad to have scheduled the firing when i did, as the power did go out a few times with the windstorm tuesday. this, however, did not stop the unfolding calamity, my pre-packaged barrel. opened the kiln to see a disaster. glaze everywhere, all but a few works utterly destroyed, majority of shelves unsalvageable from glaze runoff, and it even managed to drip onto the kiln floor and through a vent hole. yikes! everything in my studio on hold until i can repair the kiln and wait for new shelves and patching compounds to arrive in the mail, purchased with the last of emergency funds hoping to not miss all of the upcoming contests and chance to make more work before the new year. i begin to feel sick by afternoon, test myself. i am become death covid.

i've had covid once before and this infection just laughs at the first experience. holy shit. wow. it's been 5 days now and no end in sight, but the barrel will decide.

i'll post pics of the destruction soon, it's really a sight lol. and aside from losing so much, the glazes turned out so wonderfully. as soon as i can, pics of the good shit will be shared here.

i don't like asking for help, but i could greatly use some. my business is fucked. money is tight. i am still sick af.

MAMC really isn't like anything else I've done before. I've dabbled in the regency thing and arranged marriage thing and of course I love Omegaverse Stony but this story is INTENSE. Like just wait. JUST WAIT. There's so many parts to it, it's going to be so great.

And LISTEN. Stranger Things is just-- I avoided the fandom part of the show for so long because yikes underage characters but now that I'm into it, I am OBSESSED and not even a little bit sad about it. Eddie and Steve have got me feral in the way Spideypool and Winteriron first got me feral and like, I literally just talk about them all day. Me and a couple of my readers/friends just talk about them ALL DAY with story ideas and head canons until my brain is EXPLODING. I love it.

I have literal PAGES worth of story ideas for Steddie and I want to write ALL OF THEM but there isn't enough hours in the day or days in the week and I've actually worn all the letters off my keyboard typing so much this year so... like I gotta pace myself?? maybe??

And UGH Billy Steve Risk in the Kiss. I didn't think I was going to write BillySteve just cos you know, Billy's a yikes character and him DEAD AF but hey, a character being killed off on screen hasn't stopped me before, it's not going to stop me now! And also I just really love Eddie, I see alot of myself in him (like alot of us do!) so it feels good to write about him? And Billy is... complicated... in ways that would take ALOT of me writing him to finally figure out who he is. Like I had to write SO MUCH of Steve Rogers to finally figure out who he was to me as a character and now of course, I love him, and I think Id' have to do the same thing with Billy and that's alot of work.

HOWEVER I am obsessed with Alpha!Billy and Omega!Steve dynamics and like literally everything fandom related, I couldn't find a story that matched what I wanted exactly for them, so I just WROTE IT and now I have another story planned for them... whew. I mean honestly.

like just imagine , doesn’t know where his mum is , hell doesn’t even know where his mates are , it’s just him and little baby Daisy , and  HE’S  dealing with everything.  he’s  the one feeding her and washing her and more than that ,  PROTECTING  her from the outside world.   from real , twd-style zombies , so Daisy taught from the get-go not to make a sound , and when she cries Eggsy has to cover her mouth and do everything ,  everything  in his power to make sure they don’t get caught.

thank god for his parkour skills because evading zombies is easy when you can jump from building to building  --  and that’s how Eggsy gets by , slipping out of their grasp , sprinting and stealthily working his way to the abandoned sainsbury’s down the road where he can pick up supplies , baby food and diapers and whatnot.   makes himself an entrance / exit point from the roof so that he doesn’t have to walk amongst the undead  --

--  but god , oh god , he doesn’t  TAKE  Daisy with him on these stints   !   it’s far , far too dangerous , so he leaves her in the flat , heavily fortifies it so the firecrackers he has set up on the roof of the building next to theirs distracts the zombies with noise , so that getting  INTO  the flat , for the undead , is near impossible but  G O D ,   it’s a terrifying notion , the fact that he has to leave this little baby unattended for an hour , in a world where things go wrong so easily , where anything could happen and he could return to blood and a chasm of loneliness , snarling teeth and shuffling feet  --------------------------  and how Eggsy  cries ,  every time   !   how he sobs , so helplessly , into her chubby face ,  praying desperately to a god , any god , if there ever is one , to   keep .   her  .   safe  .

and that’s just how they live , until one day , their local sainsbury’s is empty , the supplies are gone , and Eggsy knows they have to move.   bundles Daisy up in a coat and straps his weapons to him  --------------------------  a knife in his pocket , a cricket bat with nails sticking out of it , slung across his back.  and a gun , with two bullets , in the waistband of his jeans  --  never to be used unless a last resort.   a bullet , perhaps , for him and for her.    he’s thought about it.   he could never do it.      maybe one day he’ll have to.

jacks a car , drives off , meets others , perhaps meets Harry this way  --  another survivor , offering Eggsy and Daisy sanctuary.   or perhaps the Kingsman have fallen too , and this is just a battle no-one can win.
