Hey, fellow Patreon users, just in case you haven't been checking your emails, Patreon is now enforcing the new rule that all NSFW content creators must verify their age via some form of photo or government identification. This is to comply with Mastercard's "new" regulations concerning adult content or content that depicts nudity.

(There is a verification process available for those who do not have government IDs. Though I do not personally know what it is because I didn't have to go through it.)

The email I just got informed me that if I didn't do it soon, they would put a freeze on my earnings. I was able to complete the process in less than five minutes via my phone and by taking pictures when prompted. My verification was then approved ten minutes later.

If you are like me and were flagged as posting adult content but do not currently have any NSFW content on your page, the above link will also give you the means to have your account classification appealed.

If you are an adult content creator who is not currently flagged as such, whether you post modeling pics, art, or written word (yes, they are apparently including written smut in this, same as ko-fi and PayPal, that's why I'm flagged), it is probably in your interest to become verified so as to avoid any possible termination or loss of funds.

I know when my account first got flagged (thanks to a bunch of TERFs trying to cut off my income), my payouts were frozen for several months while Patreon investigated my content.

In the end, they unfroze my money but still left me with the Adult Content Creator flare (meaning I cannot be promoted on the main page or found through searching, apparently) because I had in the past used Patreon to post distribution links to my Flirting with Fangs edition of Hunger Pangs for patrons who had backed the book on there.

Anyway. Don't be like me and almost lose your next month's income because you almost didn't check your email. That would be bad.

Interracial US family w/ disabled autistic dad and toddler needs to get to the US for medical treatment

TL;DR: If I'm going to live long enough to watch our daughter grow up, we need to get back to the US and get set up in a disability-friendly place where I can use my medical benefits.

Although I was already disabled (autism, adhd, and spine, joint, and head injuries), my health was stable--until four bouts of COVID left me immunocompromised, and utterly destroyed my health (including damage to my heart, blood clots that damaged one eye, neurological and joint issues, etc.), and although we started off fine, we've been hammered with one crisis after another, both medical and financial, that no one could have predicted.

Until we have enough to get back to the US, a chunk of whatever comes in has to go towards medical care that can't be put off, so the sooner we can reach critical mass on that, the better.

(There's more in my "rob gets medical" tag if you want a blow by blow account of how we got to this point over the past few years, but this is the gist.)

HOW IT STARTED:

I moved to the Philippines six years ago, after the deaths of my adult sons, in part to make my disability payments stretch further. Shortly afterwards, I was joined by my now-wife @thesurestthing (also from the US) for what was supposed to be a visit, but which turned into a permanent arrangement.

After I got a contract to license an old story for a mobile game (which tripled our income*), we found out we were having a baby, which was fine, because despite my disabilities (autism, adhd, two spine injuries, traumatic brain injury, a herniated esophagus, joint issues, etc.), my health was stable, and thanks to the contract, we were fine financially as well.

HOW IT STARTED GOING DOWNHILL:

Zoey's pregnancy was complicated, requiring two hospitalizations, and our daughter's birth was complicated, too--requiring a C-Section--which tripled our hospital bill. A few weeks after our daughter was born, the aforementioned contract was canceled without warning. THEN, when we tried to register our daughter's birth with the US embassy, we discovered an error on her birth certificate that left her stateless, and which took nearly two years, all our savings, and a fundraiser (thank you, generous people!) to resolve. Combined with medical expenses, that left us in a lot of debt.

A brief summary of went else wrong (leaving a lot out for brevity's sake):

I got COVID three four times during all this, became immunocompromised, and developed a slew of other medical issues (heart damage, eye damage and temporary facial paralysis from blood clots, persistent infections, a worsening of my joint issues, neurological issues, etc.) as a result of Long Covid.

I've had to be hospitalized a couple of times, undergo surgery, and was on an oxygen machine twice--once for an entire month, while I was bedridden. As of 24 January, 2024, I'm still recovering from my fourth bout of covid, which started at the beginning of October 2023.

There's a lot more, but you get the idea. COVID has completely wrecked my health, including tearing up my immune system.

And yes, I'm as fully vaxxed against COVID as one can be in the Philippines, with all available boosters, but again--I'm immunocompromised, plus they don't have the vax for the newest variant here yet. Zoey is vaxxed, also, and as a result, her bout with covid was extremely mild. El isn't vaxxed yet because they won't give the covid vaccine to kids under five here, but she's been able to share Zoey's antibodies from breast-feeding--which is apparently a thing.

The only way we can see for me to stay alive long enough to watch Eleanor grow up is to get back to where I can use my Medicare and VA benefits**.

WHY SO MUCH MONEY?

First, while we're still here, we need to pay for whatever medical care can't be put off. Plus, since I'm now immunocompromised, we have to get LOTS of vaccinations before we have to spend 24 hours or so in crowded planes and airports.

Second, we're going to be arriving with only what we can carry with us on the plane, and we'll need to get into a place near a VA hospital that I can easily get around in while I'm recovering from surgeries and getting various treatments. We'll need to pick up some secondhand household goods, and some kind of used transportation (because, you know, it's the US, where you kind of need a vehicle to get around).

We'll also need enough on top of my and El's disability payments to get by for a couple of months while Zoey looks for work. And all this is while we're still paying off the debt from the stuff I mentioned above.

So we're figuring that unless we catch some very lucky breaks, it'll probably cost between 20K and 36K altogether.

(We can't simply stay with friends when we get back, because literally every single close friend we have in the US with extra room and who lives close to a VA hospital has cats--to which I have a severe anaphylactic reaction. As in my entire respiratory system shuts down, and I have to be rushed to the ER to keep from dying; this has happened more than once. The only way I can be around cats is if I'm on immunosuppressants, and my immune system is ALREADY compromised, so I CAN'T do that.)

So again, if you can kick in, or reblog, or post our crowdfunding links (or the link to this post) on whatever other platforms you use, we'd appreciate it.

(*When I told social security about it, they said I could keep getting disability, too, because licensing IP rights didn't count as work income, and since it was a Moldavian company, it also fell under a special tax clause for getting paid by a foreign company while living overseas, so no taxes on it, either. )

(**VA benefits--I was a cold warrior in 1980s Germany. It was less than forty years after WWII, there was a lot of sabre-rattling--some of it nuclear--and we were there as a deterrent to prevent in Germany the kind of thing that's happening in Ukraine right now. Disclaimer because I'm tired of people accusing me of "invading" folks in the early 1980s when I was a dumb, heavily propagandized pre-Internet kid fixing generators in Europe. I wouldn't join today even if I could.)

I got the flu, so I'm a little bit sick but there are some more gifts left from Simblreen 2023.

Here you have the 7th posepack (Version 1). Some poses for a dangerous love between a human and a werewolf... As all my werewolf poses, I made two versions. This first version is to use with Natalia Auditore's oufit. V2 (That you can download here) is to use with the werewolf sim from "Werewolf gamepack".

I didn't really know what to do with a werewolf sim, but I knew that I wanted to do something, because I wanted to have at least one posepack of each occult creature (except the aliens because I never know what to do with them) so I was thinking about what to do until this scenario came to mind, a possible future scenario for my own werewolf story.

I don't know if my story will ultimately make use of these poses, but it's a possibility. I also think they could be some good poses for some of you who have similar stories:

A werewolf, transformed, afraid of harming the one they love, but the human being totally understanding and even when they are afraid, because who wouldn't be afraid of a beast?, approache the werewolf with the confidence that they won't hurt them... and the human being the necessary calming agent for the werewolf to lower their guard and return to their human body.

Yes, I'm quite a romantic, but what can I say, it's just a possibility haha, a distant possibility and I loved the result, hope you like them too.

"You don't have to apologize," you sniffled. "It's not your fault that work's been hard."

"Yes, but that doesn't give me an excuse to leave you like this, now does it?" He pulled from the hug and wiped your tears.

"And you have every right to be."

Slightly different kind of poll today; not one for tomorrow's writing, but an interest check for a potential upcoming project! I have some financial issues I need to straighten out ASAP, so I'm considering doing more of another WIP via Ko-fi thank-yous, along the lines of what I did with the soulmate-kidnapping.

( once the soulmate-kidnapping is all posted, anyway, hah; I've still got like 1400 words left to write of the 7k I owe for that. )

Hi, I'm Loo(or Alex), I'm a disabled queer artist and writer as well as a furry vtuber who streams four days a week on twitch(mostly Minecraft but also Soulsborne games and a variety of other stuff).

You may know me from The Tuna Post, in which several thousand of you came together to "force" me to buy damn near $30 American Dollars worth of imported fancy canned tuna to eat and review live on stream. OC in Fifteen, doubling as a Snippet Sunday because I AM TIRED.

I'm sneaking into @k--havok's open tag, and tagging @dyrewrites and @doublegoblin. Also leaving an OPEN TAG FOR EVERYONE as well. :D

Rules: Share 15 or fewer lines of dialogue from an OC, ideally lines that capture the character/personality/vibe of the OC. Bonus points for just using the dialogue without other details about the scene, but you're free to include those as well!

Writing for Agent Bethany Larson, FBI. We'll meet her in Chapter Six, I believe.

"Well, the fellow at the desk called me 'Missy,'" she shrugged. "I showed him my badge and everything, and all Officer White did was grumble about how 'first Nelson let the perp go, now the feds are here effing things up.' Only that wasn't the word he used. I don't like that kind of language. Besides, I didn't get this far by not being curious."

"Yes, that's a lovely thing to say in front of the FBI agent, Chief Perkins. Great job. Now could you give him the keys before you write up his dismissal paperwork? For some reason, I just don't trust you to give me the right evidence."

“A peace offering, that's all.” Miller dismissed him with a small hand wave. “You've got bigger problems, [SPOILER], and I think you've already lost people to that problem. Now, I also think that young lady in there knows more about this murderer than she wants to tell me. She might tell you.”

Hi yes!! I'd like to start off with that, I'll be starting on my long haul of commissions! for those who don't know, I focus all my attention to important work like commissions and projects on the weekdays and take breaks and relax on weekends!

That being said, my commissions will STAY OPEN while I work on my current queue at the moment. It will support me financially to keep up with bills, and also it'll help actually FEED me, since this is my only source of viable income at the moment!

Streaming/Vtuber news:

So, for a while I contemplated about doing this, but I think I've decided to follow through and start streaming more! With that being said, I've begun starting a process of creating my own model for myself.

Now the model won't be Live2D, but it'd be something along the lines of an Animated PNGtuber- or something... Similar to Lythero's lil guy on his streams. I'll start streaming more Art and also a lot more of the games I play. If you guys are interested lol

Webtoon News:

About Shadows of The Past, SOTP, it will still be in the works. But on the back burner for now, or at least be worked in the background. I need to focus on getting money to able to HAVE the free time to work on it at all!

SOTP isn't ending prematurely, and I'm not gonna give up on this. I just need to be in a spot where I can comfortably work on my webtoon. And that requires me to make money! Which segues into the next part!

Thank you for checking this blog out! If you've been working on a piece of art and something doesn't look quite right, send it in! I will do my best to help figure out what's off, or at the very least be a second set of eyes.

Q. "Does this cost money?" A. Nope! I'm just doing this for fun and to help people out. At some point I may plug my ko-fi if people are interested, but I want to make it clear I'm doing this just because I want to help people with anatomy/composition, as well as to become more comfortable with art critique. I, myself, had a bully of an art teacher in highschool and it left a terrible stain on my feelings towards art critique.

Q. "What kind of credentials do you have? Degrees?" A. None, technically. I've been doing art digitally since 2009, so I'd say 14 years of experience isn't something to snub. I draw daily, and my personal archive of finished works contains over 3200 pieces. That being said, I do have a specific style, so all of my art critiques are going to come with that addendum.

Q. "What if I want to submit art for my friend who's shy?" A. I'm sticking to my guns that only the original artist should post their own work. If the username/watermark don't match I understand (tumblr having your main blog be the default sending point, etc.) so I'm going to trust people to only submit their own work. People found abusing this in order to harass/bully others will be blocked and reported. I don't want anyone getting caught up in that by trying to do a good deed for someone else. That being said I do have tags in place for 'please be gentle/honest/ruthless' to give a better indication level of how much correction/compliments the sender would like. If this is used for bullying you will be reported and blocked.

Q. "How long will it take to get a redline edit back?" A. Typically not long, though I do have a day job. Expect 1-3 days as a good margin. If it's been over a week feel free to send a reminder ask.

Q. "Is this only for anatomical editing notes?" A. Primarily yes. If you are specifically looking for help with coloring I can do that, but I would like to make the focus on anatomy/composition. That being said, rendering is all parts of the same product, so it may be mentioned here and there. If you need help specifically with certain elements, please make note in your submission.

Q. "Can we see your art blog?" A. Maybe in the future.

Q. "Can we do private submissions/sessions?" A. Since this is meant to be a public learning space, as well as free, I'm going to say no for right now. Private editing is something I would feel is more appropriate as a paid gig, which I don't think I'm ready for just yet. Everyone is always learning, myself included, and advice I give today may not be the most factually accurate and others may have additional helpful notes. Remember that I am just a voice of suggestion and to take what I say with that in mind. It's your art, you can always do what you want with it.

Q. "I submitted something to redline but have decided I'm not comfortable with it being up, can I get it removed?" A. Yeah, just send me the post number and I'll delete it.

Hi, hello all of you new followers! It's awesome to see you guys, welcome to my little corner tungl. There's a whole 1,500 of you guys now! holy shit!

Did you know I post spoilery snippets in my Discord? Different from the ones I post here AND on Patreon! (Patreon gets larger snippets and more behind the scenes access, but Discord gets some tasty things, too!) Discord goers will also get early access to updates to my games starting with the next update that comes out, after Patreon gets a full day ahead. (Patreon: 1 day full access beforehand, Discord then gets ~12 hours or so after Patreon's day is over, then it is announced publicly!) Yes, I have a tendency to drone on about boring things there sometimes, but Discord does get some interesting perks for just simply being a member!

bonus WIP poll!

This is a slightly odd thing to do, probably, but I'm taking my roommate to IKEA tomorrow and have just recently realized that I DIRELY need at least a couple new bookshelves since I've collected a metric fuck-ton of books and knickknacks that were previously at my mom's place and have extremely, extremely limited storage space for it all.

But also I'm straight-up broke and still need to cover parking and gas and groceries/dog necessities this week, so in an attempt to get my room in a more usable condition ASAP while also saving myself shipping costs at a later date, I'm gonna run a Ko-fi goal in conjunction with a WIP poll of some popular faves that I've neglected a little bit lately, and if I hit the Ko-fi goal by noon EST tomorrow, I will write 5k in the winner of the poll, and also buy myself some bookshelves! If I DON'T hit the goal by noon tomorrow, I'll just write 2k for the poll winner (and alternately, if the goal happens to overfund, welp, then I'll just write a little extra, hah).

yes I really do need shelves this bad, my room is NOTHING but boxes right now and I have nooooowhere to put the things inside said boxes, it is a PROBLEM. 😅
