Do They Get Invited to the Fontaine Masquerade Ball? [Mondstadt]

A/N: Based on my post where I begged Hoyo to give us a Fontaine masquerade ball event. If they don't, this is the post I am using to quench my thirst.

Warnings: This is just my opinions and thoughts! If you think differently it is okay! (In my original post I said that I thought that the "higher-ups" would get invited so that is what I'm basing it off), written in an informal way, not all characters have headcanons!

Yes - Jean, Kaeya, Diluc, Eula

Jean: She's anxious that something may go wrong if she's not there, especially with Klee. Lisa reassures her that everything will be okay (Lisa can be strict too so I think they'll be fine). Her co-knights (and Diluc) try to comfort her as well saying it is something to be proud of for her. I think she starts feeling better when she receives compliments from other guests of her being the acting grand master.

Kaeya: Was surprised he was going, because he thought Jean would've asked him to stay (Diluc: the Knights of Favonius are inefficient, you really think you'd stay?). He remembers that one time his adopted father was away for two days for the ball, and can't fathom that he'd get this chance. I just know his outfit for the masquerade ball is e x t r a v a g a n t.

Diluc: He remembers his father getting invited, so now it's his turn. He is hesitant on going, since there is business to take care of with the winery, possible memories of his father, and of course- his "dear" brother who is also attending. He probably is asked to bring wine by the organizers. When he gets dressed, Kaeya's like huh you're not wearing the darknight hero mask? And if you listen closely you can hear retribution.

Eula: Also surprised she got an invite because of her lineage... but on the other hand, she is not her ancestors, nor is she getting invited for that reason. Amber is excited for her and begs her to tell her all about it when she comes back. She is the best when it comes to the ballroom dancing part.

No - Amber, Lisa, Barbara, Razor, Bennett, Noelle, Fischl, Sucrose, Diona, Rosaria, Mika, Klee

Most of them are too young anyway... however that doesn't stop them from getting excited about a ball even though they cannot attend.

Fischl: She claims she is not jealous, because in her kingdom they have their own masquerade ball. Fontaine has an exquisite ballroom with the most brilliant chandeliers? The Immernachtreich has a better one, all purples and black with candles and Oz themed lights. She immediately organizes it along with asking her mom to make her favourite cold cut platter, and invites all her friends.

Bennett: Hears about Fischl's masquerade ball and is very much convinced that her's sounds better than Fontaine's. When he attends Fischl's ball, (well it looks better in her head but) he thinks it's the most amazing event he'd been to.

Klee: She is sad that Kaeya and a few of her other friends have to leave, though it's only for a bit. Klee asks him to bring back something like a Fontaine-Dodoco, Kaeya chuckles and says sure. Lisa and Albedo are the main people who have to keep her out of trouble.

Razor: Potatoes.

Well... - Venti, Mona, Albedo

Venti: If this guy can somehow make it to Lantern Rite and Irodori, then he can get to the ball. Not saying he was ever invited, but something tells me he has a scheme twirling his fake mustache and sneaking in. I won't deny that it would be fun to see him at a masquerade ball. Insert Diluc's deadpan face when he sees an alcoholic bard made his way to Fontaine. Venti makes up a fake title- "The Best Wine Taster of Teyvat"

Mona: She has wrote on the Steambird which drew in a lot of readers, so I think she has a good chance of getting invited. She'd be able to connect with any Fontaine fans that enjoy her astrology columns. I also think her outfit would be very elegant.

Albedo: I feel like he has a chance of getting invited but declines for two reasons. One because he has a lot of research to do and two, because someone needs to keep Klee from blowing up Mondstadt (and possible sus-bedos on the loose). I believe if anything, Sucrose would be the one to convince him to go since there could be more things alchemy related to discover in Fontaine, or other alchemists or scientists to meet.

So, it's my hcs about Blue exorcist characters and who would they main on genshin based on their personality and my totally "unbiased" opinion because I need to get this outta my system.

Rin Okumura: At first, he struggles with choosing between the twins. Lumine is attractive and makes him think of Shiemi, but he is torn between the two because Aether is a big brother and he can relate to him. Ends up forcing Yukio to play as Lumine, while he chooses Aether. Rin usually plays for Ae, up to Xiangling's story quest and Abyss. But, oh boy, she becomes his favorite then. She is a great cook, with cool fire powers, a sweet Guoba, and a good dad. What else do person needs in a character, anyway? In the squad, Rin still uses Aether, although these days he mostly plays for Xiangling. To get her a Catch, he definetely speedruns fishing. He enjoys collecting for food ingredients while playing the game. Rin is most likely to be the guy who will attempt to make these dishes in person and post receipts on the Internet.

Yukio: He loses a bet to Rin. His twin surprisingly passes the test and earns a decent grade, so Yukio now has much less sleep and the game he needs to play. Unexpectedly, he realizes how many of his coworkers — primarily Mephisto and Shura — are also playing, and that it has now spread throughout the entire office.

He chooses Lumine and, yes, he seems to relate to saving his brother from chaos involving demonic forces. Unlike Rin, Yukio sticks with his main character. I believe it's because he reads too many comments about Traveler's WEAKness, and his perfectionism won't let it go. He has built Lumine to maximize her potential in each game element. To achieve perfection, Yukio farms extensively for the best artifact stats. Sara is another character he respects in terms of personality, and he enjoys playing for the archers, but her loyalty to Ei turns him off because Shura mains her, and he now has a bad association with her. He likes Keqing as well, but he still can't get her out of the banner.

Also, he likes investigating Teyvat's lore and then explaining various theories to Rin in the middle of the night, while his twin falls asleep to this as it is a bedtime story. Nevertheless, Yukio will uncover the truth.

Shiemi: begins playing after Rin and Yuki to accompany them. After getting Noelle from the beginner banner, she practically always uses her. She enjoys her hangouts and completes them all. She keeps using her till Sumeru and Nahida show up. Shiemi still loves Noelle, but Nahida has won her heart in every way. And Nahida's talent is a blessing, given how much she enjoys collecting flowers.

Mephisto: Venti. I will not elaborate. Those who know, know.

Shura: starts earlier than most and continues for a long time. She plays video games in the start of the series, so it's reasonable to say she frequently tries different games. She starts with Beidou as her main character before switching to Raiden Ei. The crucial factor in it is the booba sword, although she also enjoys the way she looks and her two-tone hair. I believe she can relate to all of the ideas, such as eternity, time, and stillness.

P.S. She regularly bullies Timmy, Hillichurls, Fatui and Yukio.

Kamiki: Played in secrecy, but pretended not to care about it; it didn't last long (thanks to Renzou). It should come as no surprise that she adores Yae because she enjoys and collects attractive charas with animal-like features. Izumo simply could not ignore the cunning and charming kitsune character. She often makes fun of Shima for not getting her in gacha. Also, she would look after the teapot and create thematic elements for the characters. Obviously, she recreated Narukami shrine for Miko. She additionally encourages Shiemi to create a lovely garden inside her teapot.

Suguro: Because of Renzou and Rin, he begins to play. At first, mains Chongyun because he likes his design, cultural references, and animations. And last but not least, Chongyun is an exorcist. As Suguro learns more about his character's backstory, he sympathizes with him and finds it ironic, but he also admires his desire to help others and his ability to handle Yan's energy. He's interested in lore as well, thus Yukio is no longer alone in that area since he's found a new victim for his theories.

Renzou: Starts playing at the same time as Rin and Yukio for hot ladies, so he mains Lisa in the beginning. Then he tries and fails to get other ladies. Shima diligently gathers wishes for Yae Miko. However, he gets banners mixed up and ends up with Childe by accident. That single fact serves as the basis for all of Kamiki's jokes and taunting. Despite his devastation, Renzou chooses to continue reading to see how Archon's quest is finally resolved. Unexpectedly, he finds Childe to be a likable character. He starts his quest and after everything goes blurry. He regains consciousness and has a completed mission, Childe lv90 c1, and a polar star. He believes that is Kamiki's revenge for sharing her secret, but in reality, Shima has just become Childe's kinnie, and it's already a diagnosis. Get better soon.

Konekomaru: As his friends play, he eventually joins in. Also a fan of animal-like characters. Sucrose, with its adorable design and endearing nature, is his favorite overall. He is intrigued by the fundamentals of alchemy and considers the game's Albedo quests to be among the most interesting. He tries to get him as well, but he loses 50/50 on his banner. He hopes that the following time, he will at least lose to Tighnari and add him to his collection.

He's also interested in lore because it's related to alchemy. Sadly, he had the imprudence to mention it in front of Yukio. So now he is sitting with Rin, who is sleeping, Suguro, who is listening and thinking about everything, and Yukio, who hasn't had even 3 hours of normal sleep and is only still alive because of 4 cans of energetics, and now is explaining his third theory about the Abyss. If you have a Kuki with cons she's amazing for proc-ing aggravate bc her skill fires electro at like c2 or c4 i think (I don't remember which). Otherwise, fischl and xinqiu and either diona/zhongli/noelle for shields works AMAZING.

Fischl applies near constant electro if you can use sacrificial bow on her (personally she's my main dps so I use rust), Xingqiu's hydro skill allows for hyperbloom and bloom reactions.

I'd recommend slingshot(yes I'm serious) as a good f2p bow if you plan to use tighnari as a main dps, otherwise anything with EM or cr/cd works! He's become a staple on my team as a sub dps for fischl and my main team is tighnari, fischl, zhongli, xinqiu and it's such a fun team honestly

If you want to do JUST aggravate, my recommendation is tighnari, fischl, any shield character, kuki

Depending on how you build the shielder, you can either go full em for kuki (best for reactions, does good damage), or full healer kuki (yes she is a good healer and I stand by that. 2pc tenacity and 2pc maiden or clam with hp/hp/healing works amazing). Plus she can provide 100% uptime heals/reactions, with cons (like 80-90% uptime without cons. You fr only wait like one or two seconds on the cooldown). She's a good character and I hate that people say she's bad just bc she doesn't do hella damage 😭 she's not a dps!!!!

Anyway!

If you want to go with a hyperbloom team, I still recommend tighnari, fischl, shielder, xingqiu. If you're worried about not getting enough heals you can swap for barbara and use her skill at a close range to apply hydro...until they patch that out >:(

Or ofc Mona and Kokomi work as well for decent off field hydro, I just think Xingqiu works best, plus his passive allows his skill to heal a bit. You could try giving him more hp and doing a hybrid healer/dps build LOL either works I think.

Today in: My genshin ships~

Why do I ship my ships *pats herself in the back*

Navia / Clorinde: They are the obligatory lesbians of the region, but in my opinion these two have the best chemistry of the other wlw pairings. I love the sweet angst between them, and I'm only halfway through the Fontaine story. Also their opposite aesthetics only made me love them even more. I need the Clorinde banner NOW, I'll build a team just for her.

Thoma / Ayato: I'm a sucker for the master/servant dynamic, and while Thoma has that with Ayaka as well, we 100% know she has a crush on Lumine/Aether. I loved the beginning of the Ayato quest where they are just chilling, Thoma also takes care of Ayato in any way his master needs and that is very cute and hot.

Xiao / Venti: The grumpy/cheerful trope always gets to me. Also Venti seems to care A LOT for Xiao, giving him the vision, cleaning his karmic debt, saving his life, and this boy isn't even from Mondstat which makes it even cuter. One point for the opposites trope that I keep on loving.

Xiao / Zhongli: I'm a sucker for them. The way Xiao still respects Morax as this divine being and Zhongli saving Xiao in his chasm moments of need... Wow *cries*. Their dynamic of this all powerful but benevolent and caring being and the sad and serious small warrior is great. Also their designs are from my favorites of the whole game. Sadly Xiao is not very compatible with the teams I'm building right now and if I pull for him just because I like his design he will end up benched and I don't want that :c

Xiao / Aether:

Amber / Eula:

Ei / Yae Miko:

Aether / Noelle: Listen, I'm not on the Traveler/harem boat, but since he (I picked Aether) interacts with practically everyone in the game, in my opinion he has pretty good dynamic with some characters and Noelle is definitely one of them, their hangout event is adorable, she looks forward to be like him and they basically end up in a date, the roses ending is super cute. She's like my wife in the serenitea, and she's even in my abyss team, what can I say...

Aether / Childe: They are so chaotic, I like that. Childe's obsession with fighting him ended up in a very weird friendship. Also his mission with Teucer and all the stuff with his family made me develop a soft spot for him. ALSO, boy you cannot give your vision to him and expect me not to feel a thing, please. This one is not in my top ten, but I still like it a lot. My love for them is Pnkcrow's fault and if you recognize that name, you know what I'm talking about, you're as guilty as I am.

Aether / Layla: Their Hangout has been my #1 favorite so far, it's the epitome of cuteness, the date at the forest melted my heart, he is very supportive of her conditions and doesn't treat her any differently because of it. I adore Layla and her alter mentioning she doesn't have any friends surprised me, she is so sweet. Definitely top 5 favorite characters and my first C6, I love her. I need them to hug and to stay together forever, bye.

Tighnari / Cyno: They are the Sumeru husbands. I love chaos, don't get me wrong, but sometimes I love shipping something safe and beautiful, where my soul can rest~ They are made for each other, also I love the daughter-Collei dynamic is beautiful. I love me some family environment ❤️✨. Bless the Peaches/Nari cover, yes that one. Meta is temporary, ships are forever, so Main DPS Cyno, sub DPS Tighnari we go. Definitely in my top 10. Btw my team's 'nari keeps on stealing Childe's bow and I like that~

Razor / Bennet: This one started for me in the event where we were making the wine from Razor's parents (I'll never forget that event, it has been my favorite so far, I cried and everything lol). That moment where Bennett sympathizes with Razor's situation and explains to him his own, while promising they will be there for him was a direct hit to my heart. I can definitely see them going on adventures together. Also, I don't know, but when characters work together in a team, I end up liking their ship even more (?

Wriothesley / Neuvillette: These two are living rent-free in my head right now. My love for them is surreal. They have everything, they are cute and safe, also slightly angsty if they need to, opposites that complement each other, their aesthetics also opposites that complement, they are perfect, they even have a daughter (I don't care Sigewinne is older than Wriothesley and a menace to society, I love her and she's so Wriolette-daughter coded). Also I have a very soft spot for dragons, so here we are. I despise with my heart and soul not being able to use them in an abyss team, they both are on fields and it wouldn't work as good as I'd like them to. Very high in the list, definitely in the top 3.

Jean / Diluc: I have SUPER MIXED FEELINGS for these two. I wasn't expecting to like them this much but Jean is so sweet and down to earth in contrast to Mr. I'm Mondstat's Batman here. Another point for the opposites trope, but I feel they complement each other so well. In the fics and comics the author's depiction of the pair is amazing, is a very solid ship, I could say it is from the best ones from Mondstat.

Lumine / Dainsleif: I can't get enough of the Princess x Knight headcanons of them both. That alone was strong enough to make me love this ship with my heart and soul. Also my undying love for Dain doesn't help the case.

Itto / Gorou: Ok, hear me out. Itto is canonically in love with Gorou. He loves Miss Hina, and we all know who she actually is. Also they are nade for each other team-wise, Itto DPS and Gorou Support are Geo top tier. I have this headcanon that makes me adore them and is Gorou being in the Inazuma-Watatsumi conflict and of course he's the general, but there in the battlefield arrives the general's boyfriend, this massive Oni with the power to get rid of half of Sara's army, ready to aid his cute doggo general~

Itto / Sara: With them it was like a cupid arrow went through my heart. It was such a crush moment with this pairing. They are the embodiment of "I like a woman who can kick my ass". I know it's a cliché nowadays but the black cat/golden retriever energy here is big. The headcanon of them initially being childhood friends melts my heart. I love their designs and together gets even better, the diligent and elegant Tengu and the imposing and chaotic Oni *chef's kiss*. Also I don't know why but I feel they would be super cute and safe together, this is like my comfort ship. Again, another one for the list and they have a spot in the top 3.

Itto / Ayato:

Yunjin / Shenhe:

Diluc / Kaeya: I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL OK? This was my first Genshin ship and it holds a very special place in my heart. They belong to the chaos-incarnated team and to the opposites teams, so very good points there. Sadly I don't like Kaeya's skin that much to purchase it so they can be both classy in the team. Right now they are not that high up in the list since they have gone a little outdated but still, very solid ship.

My not so relatable co op experience™ with these mains

This is not a stereotype just my personal experiences in genshin. Take everything with a grain of salt or maybe just skip it entirely if you feel like you might be offended. The ones I've excluded? I dont see them often in co op.

Albedo

*drops flower* my job here is done,

Harbinger of dawn so gotta keep hp above 90%, understandable

*casually doing 20k per bloom dmg* wtf what u feeding him, spare some RNG luck

BENNETT

SON!!!!!!! AND PRECIOUS BOY!!!!!!!! Always welcomed in any domain, (except cwof maybe?) but yes best boy, best support and usually Bennet mains are pretty flexible, and more willing to use support character/healers in co op.

Diluc

I AM JEALOUS, SO SO JEALOUS. also I saw that wolves gravestone so please stop attacking randomly I just wanna take a photo with Diluc. Stay still for one minute dammit.

Eula

Fastest speed runs I've had in the emblem set domain was with a Eula main. Honestly, pretty straight to the point. 10/10 would do domains again. the enemies are always dead before that sword explodes :((((

Diona

Heh, you didn't get zhongli did you? Lmao sorry back to the point. Pretty chill but please give that shield asap, whenever the skill is off cooldown, my Ayaka is dying have mercy.

Ganyu

When someone uses ganyu I know that I can just chill and viola the challenge is already complete. Kinda scary with that 250+ crit damage tho 😳

Kazuha

Stop swirling Pyro dammit, I'm using blizzard strayer I need them affected by cryo 😭😭. But srsly inspite of that the melt dmg I get is just 😩👌

AYAKA

My queen and sweetheart 🥰 I am one myself and most of them are pretty co operative and polite. Entering everyone's world to get some Sakura blossoms,🥺 pls just let us have them. Also Shoutout to that one player who let me use my Ayaka in domain and used diona instead. Tysm for that cryo resonance <3

Raiden Shogun

80 energy cost what?? My burst is always up even before the cooldown ends. Just endless Ayaka Bursts everywhere, so thank you for that. Also pls u are immune to electro charged I am not, stop using your skill and killing me with water nearby 😭

Xiao

Our boy is a glass canon 😔 those 50k per plunge don't come easy and I understand. Not having that NRE equiped in a team with no healers? Then realising it mid battle? ouch

Zhongli

Actual lifesavers, c2 zhongli! ? BLESSING. Especially in event domian like energy amplifier. As soon as we got a c2 zhongli haver in our team that challenge became cakewalk. (we were trying for the last hour at least) word of advise always have a friend with c2 zhongli, you don't know when you might need them next

KOKOMI

I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU, 😩♥️ WHEN I SEE A KOKOMI IN CO OP I FEEL LIKE I CAN USE XIAO WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT ANYTHING. THE SWEETEST AND WHOLESOME WILL NOT LET YOUR HP GO LOW AT ALL!!!!!!

Shoutout to veteran childe players, I mean after I go back to range stance idfk what to do, aiming is hard😔. Crit rate barely going above 47% 😞 it's a universal struggle also are those 10/10/10 talents I see 👀?

🤔 Most I've played with are just standard healers and I've never been yeeted by one either. I thought this was a sacred act that Jean mains must perform in co op? :( then why exclude me?

genshin characters + video games headcanons

prompt: what video games the genshin characters would play warnings: ???? uhhhh just mentions of typical toxic video game culture i guess LOL characters: literally every playable character a/n: not much to say so here are some songs i listened to while writing: black pearl by sunmi, the winner takes it all by abba, la vie en rose by iz*one. anyways these headcanons were debated upon in a gc of my friends. sorry if u disagree w/ any of these jkdsfdkjkd

albedo would play slime rancher. 100%. he likes how you can combine the slimes to make new ones and how it has a bit of a science-y aspect. it’s calm while still entertaining. he definitely has multiple different worlds where he collects different slimes. he’s very into it.

amber plays animal crossing and is SUPER into it with the cute nice ACNH island. will get excited when she finds out someone new is playing it and give them materials to help them get started on their island.

barbara and xinyan play osu together. xinyan is likely the one that gets barbara into it and they get carpal tunnel together <3

beidou doesn’t play video games much, but will play as rosalina in mariokart. she’s not the best but she’s got the spirit!

bennett is a fortnite kid. bennett sweetie i’m so sorry but #1 victory royale yeah fortnite we boutta get down, ten kills on the board right now just wiped out tomato town

childe plays call of duty and takes it way too seriously. probably also plays pubg. will fight with people over voice comms but also yells at the people who are misogynistic. probably moans into the mic when people accuse him of being a white knight.

chongyun plays smash. somehow has all the combos memorized. he doesn’t talk when playing either and sits there eerily calm.

diluc plays league of legends. probably a jungle main. kaeya plays a game with him once and diluc refuses to tell kaeya how to play and also refuses to gank his lane. diluc blames kaeya when they lose.

diona also plays league of legends. is the toxic yasuo player that goes 0/10 and flames you. has probably been banned 3 times for toxicity.

fischl is an undertale kid. insists her eye underneath her eyepatch glows blue like sans’ eye but refuses to take it off to prove it. bennett believes her but nobody else does.

ganyu plays the sims. she likes making sure everyone is ok and plays it in a nice, calming manner. it lets her feel efficient.

hu tao LOVES horror games but also probably plays animal crossing. she definitely laughs at jump scares. will definitely play animal crossing with amber although hu tao’s island isnt nearly as organized as amber’s. hu tao likes the messiness of her island which is a whole mood.

jean plays call of duty. is silent the entire time and only comes on the mic at the end of the game to be like “good game, guys!” if she senses a misogynist in her presence.

kaeya plays splatoon. idk anything about splatoon the gc just told me that he would play splatoon so it’s probably a game for cool ppl. probably also cries while playing undertale because he relates too hard with whole “your actions have consequences” thing it does lol idk but its a mood.

keqing says she has better things to do than play video games but has a soft spot in her heart for pokemon. it reminds her of when she was younger and she had less to do. probably plays pokemon go because she feels like she’s still efficient while playing it.

klee has a copy of grand theft auto. yes, she plays it exactly how you think she would play it.

lisa plays league of legends and is a support main. will vehemently deny it if you ask her but she rlly likes how u have to calculate what each item does and stuff! lisa’s a smart girl so she likes having to actively predict the actions of others

mona 100% plays the sims but does so in a chaotic way. probably uses it to get out her stress by creating sims of the people she doesn’t like and giving them questionable lives.

ningguang probably knows how to play smash. plays as zero suit samus or the wii fit trainer. refuses to play as any male characters except for pikachu, kirby, and yoshi.

noelle probably plays uhhh breath of the wild. she just seems like she would like the open world stuff and being able to roam around and stuff.

qiqi plays toca boca games with klee. due to her memory, qiqi probably sticks to simple games, but klee has no problems with showing her friend how to play games again, no matter how many times it takes!

razor has an old busted DS in which he plays pokemon. probably also likes nintendogs. is super serious about taking good care of his dog friends.

sucrose plays overwatch. she is a mercy or a d.va main.

venti plays exclusively mariokart. however, if placed in the vicinity of a real car, venti loses all capable thought and cannot drive. plays as cat peach for the meme.

xiangling plays cooking mama and overcooked. she loves cooking games. if you’re over at xiangling’s, chances are she’s making you play overcooked with her.

xingqiu doesn’t play video games. he’s bad at them. will play smash with chongyun but only knows how to play kirby. will down-b over and over.

xinyan loves music games. probably invented guitar hero and rock band. will play two instruments at once if playing rock band along with singing. one woman band.

xiao plays call of duty. encounters childe who teases him so badly that xiao swats childe. the fatui show up at childe’s place in which childe taunts xiao with the fact that childe is the police. the two somehow end up on each others friends list and continuing to play with each other. for xiao, its because he has unsettled beef with childe. for childe, its because he thinks xiao’s anger is hilarious.

zhongli shocks everyone when he reveals that yes, he plays video games. if you go on his steam account, he has many different games, but only one has 500+ hours. it’s civ 6. zhongli says it “reminds him of the good old days”. nobody knows what that means, but zhongli does as he’s all too familiar with building actual civilizations from the ground up.

FREDDY

This man- bear- robot- HIM. He mains Thoma. 100/100. I can easily picture him playing in co-op as a support for his friends. He also plays with Noelle a lot: she’s an healer and a shielder! Maybe her aesthetic doesn’t fit his vibes a lot, but hey! She’s great! Maybe his party would be: Diluc as a Main DPS, Itto as a Sub DPS, Thoma as a Support/Shielder and Noelle as the Healer.

Chica

OHHH THIS IS HARD. I think her party would have Xiangling for sure and and Barbara. She wouldn’t be really good at the game, but I can see her as someone who plays for the character. So her party wouldn’t be focussed on the dmg or er- so maybe Xiangling as a DPS, Xinyan as a Sub DPS, yunjin as a support and Barbara as the Healer!

Roxanne

Electro main. She’s an electro main. 100/100. Her Keqing is OP! Maybe she kinda ignores the others characters of the party- but anyway, she’d be the strongest player of the team (I can see her arguing with Monty about the builds and the dmg). Her team would be: Keqing as the main DPS, Mona as BURST DPS, Sara as Support and Yun Jin as Shielder/Support. Yes, this girl plays without an healer.

Monty

My man Monty plays with Itto. He doesn’t like his character that much, but his E, Ult and appearance did the job. Also, he loves playing with Beidou. Maybe he mains more Beidou more than Itto- He just doesn’t like the fact that she’s a four star- But anyway, his party would be Itto as a main DPS, Beidou as a Sub DPS, Gorou as a Support/Shielder and Noelle as an Healer (only when not in co-op, he doesn’t want the others to know that he plays with her). Beidou doesn’t not fit the party very well, but he loves her too much to switch her with a more fitting character.

Sundrop

Klee. He LOVES playing with klee. He mains her since her 1st banner. He also has Qiqi as the healer- The fact that she’s a Zombie made him upset -he cried;;- at first but then it made love her more! He also plays with Venti as a Support and Yoimiya as the second Pyro (Sub DPS)!

Moondrop

He mains Diluc. I don’t know why, but he mains him. Also has Xingqiu as healer/support and he’s the character he usually play with in co-op. In solo he plays with Chongyun as sub-dps and has shenhe as support for him. Maybe when not using the letter, he plays with Bennett, even not liking that much the character in se.

Genshin Impact Visions & Gods

This has been bugging me since i started playing in mid november, but what makes a certain Archon give a Character their Vision. Considering i couldnt find any official info, I decided to do some research on each Archon and then on the player Characters we have of each element as of beginning of December 2020.

This will contain spoilers on characters & story!

Note: The travelers will not be included due to them not having Visions and having more then one Element.

I am basing this on overlaping themes and not on anything related to the actual Archon. I did add some info on the archons tho, due to this being about Visions and archons

“It is unclear whether Visions are directly granted by its element's corresponding Archon or by the nation's Archon. There is also the possibility that granting a Vision requires approval from both Archons. Yet another possibility is that they are granted by neither, and are instead given by the gods on Celestia.”

-Genshin Wiki on reciving Visions

Starting with my Favourite Element, Electro.

Electro wise, We have five Characters as of right now: Kequin, Razor, Beidou, Fishl and Lisa. The Electro Archon, God of Eternity, Baal, is the ruling Archon of the Area, Inazuma, whitch is the area we are getting in the 1.4 update in 2021.

To start off i read into any info i could find on Baal and i gotta say, she is a interesting Fellow. As of right now we know that Baal has locked Inazuma down and has initiated a Vision Hunt Decree, due to her thinking Visions should be under the sole domain of divinity. She also hasnt handed out any Visions since this decree which means all Electro characters we know have gotten theirs before this drastic change.

Now, why did these 5 characters get their Visions? Well each character has a different reason, from Razor wanting to protect those he calls friends to Lisa simpley saying it would be of use to her and just getting it. From what I've found there isnt really a big overlap in the reciving of the characters, but what is overlaping is their fixation on something.

Razor recived his vision due to him being fixated on getting stronger to protect his friends after he failed to while being dragged away by an abyss mage

Kequin was fixated on sharing her beliefs, that the people of Lyiue shouldnt rely on Rex Lapis and have their Pride and that their views are of Equal importance

Fishl was so fixated on a book series she changed herself to be like the main character, fishl and her Vision manifested in the form of Oz, one of the characters from said book

Beidou was fixated on killing Haishan, a sea monster, from a young age and recived her vision when she did so

Lisa is pretty much fixated on understanding magecraft and the cost of reciveing a Vision.

Now onto a easier Element, Geo

The Archon of Geo and Contracts, Morax, Archon of Lyiue.

Morax or Rex Lapis, was one of the oldest gods, defended Lyiue in the Archon war, the Currency in Teyvat, Mora, is named after him and as of Chp.1 Act 3 we know that he has taken the form of Zhongli and has retired as the Geo Archon.

Morax, Along with Barbatos, are the only two Archons of the Original Seven that havent been replaced.

Now, who are our Geo Characters? Noelle and Ningguang, two dedicated powerhouses! This one is fairly simple, thanks to voicelines we have of Zhongli since he came out as a player character (Bless the pity pull for giving me this man)

In his “About Ningguang” Voiceline he says: ”Despite the multitude of affairs she deals with in a day, Ningguang always continues to press on. A rare gem indeed. I'm reminded of the time that she used to walk barefoot from Yaoguang Shoal to the south wharf, trying to sell her wares as she went. Time is cruel to humans.”

Noelle recived her vision when Jean Acknowledged her hard work when she tried to get into the knights of favonius. in her “Vision” story it states: This was a lucky day that she would always remember, for she would receive recognition from two all-important sources this day: once from Jean, and the other from the gods. Her hard work has been remembered after all.

So for short: Hard working and dedicated = Geo Vision

Next up we have Anemo

Our wonderful Tone deaf bard, Venti or otherwise known as the Archon of Anemo and freedom, Barbatos, the not really ruling Archon of Mondstadt.

Barbatos is a freedom loving guy and refuses to rule over Mondstadt, the city of freedom and is by far the weakest of the Archons, despite this the people of Modstadt still love and adore their windy God.

I went into this one thinking “Oh this is easy, itll be love for freedom or something!” Nope, it surprisingly wasnt. Jean and sucerose recived their visions through their Determination it seems. Sucerose from doing her 159th Dandilion seed Simmering experiment and Jean seemed to be determened to be a good grandmaster and to protect Mondstadt.

That aside, i couldnt find many overlaps with the two, they are both free spirited and love what they do.

Now on to Pyro

Pyro, the Element of the Archon Murata who is also the god of War, is wielded by the fan fav Diluc, as well as Klee, Xiangling, Amber, Bennett and Xinyan.

Not much is known about Murata, Venti describes her as a “ wayward, warmongering wretch” and thats about all we know. She presides over Natlan.

Now to the characters, this was acually the easiest of them all: Passion.

Every Pyro user has a huge amount of passion that a rolemodel or Loved one ignited within them.

This one definitly surprised me the least and i am really excited for when we meet Murata and Natlan.

Diluc has the same passion his father had

Klee has a passion for Explosives that her mother ignited

Xiangling has a passion for food and cooking she got from her father

Amber got her Passion for Mondstadt and the outriders from her grandfather

Bennett got the Passion for adventure from all the old adventurers he calls dads, yes Dads as in plural, that raised him

Xinyan has a passion for Rock, tho i havent found out more of her story due to her being so new.

Now heading onto Hydro

Hydro, along with Dendro, is the only element where we do not know the name of the Archon. All we do know is that they are the Archon of Hydro and Justice and rule over Fontaine.

So straight to the Hydro characters: Barbara, Mona and Xingqiu.

I dont really count Childe due to the only thing talked about is his dilusion and i am rather confused on if he even has a real vision but i still love him lots

Im going to be honest this one really had me running the brain gears for a while.

All three recived their Vision as an extension of the self.

Barbara got hers after helping a sick boy by singing to him to help him sleep through a fever, Mona rekindeled a learning aid to her vision, to aid her with her search for the truth of the rules of the world and Xingqiu got his after he explained the principles of his clans martial arts anew, litterally saying that martial artists should see Visions as a extension of the self.

Last but definitly not least, Cryo

Cryo, the Element of the Archon know as the Tsaritsa. We acually dont know her corrisponding ideal nor her acual name and this one was just as geargrinding as Hydro.

The Tsaritsa, Ruler of the fatui and the one that gives them their Dilusions, is one interresting lady. We get a description of her from Childe: “Her Royal Highness the Tsaritsa is actually a gentle soul. Too gentle, in fact, and that's why she had to harden herself. Likewise, she declared war against the whole world only because she dreams of peace. Her gaze was cold but pure, arrogant yet sharp. She was not only the sacrosanct Cryo Archon but a true warrior also.”

Kaeya, Chongyun, Diona and Qiqi, our current four Cyro userer, all have rather interesting storys when it comes to how they got their Vision.

All dont accept something

Kaeya felt guilty about hiding who he was from the family that adopted him after his father abandoned him to be a spy in Mondstadt, and told Diluc, someone he used to be very close with, the truth, since then he sees his vision as a stern reminder that he must live his life under a heavy burden of Lies. He pretty much doesnt accept the truth of his situatin and would rather live with that heavy burden

Chonyun is surpressing a part of himself, the condition he has, and as Xiangling says in Chongyuns stories, is denying a part of him. He trys to work around his condition and wont accept it as the way to go about how he practices exocrism.

Diona wont accept the truth about her father being a Alcoholic, and places the blame on the Alcohol industy instead of accepting that he isnt as high and mighty as she thought. She wont accept that her fathers bad control over his drinking habits is the reason he acts as he does and instead blames the alcohol industry.

Qiqi didnt want to accept her death nor does she really accept her Zombie like traits and only uses them when she needs to defend herself.

My theory is the Cyro Visions are recevied when you wont accept the grim reality as it is, if this is positive or negative variates

When it comes to the last element, Dendro, we sadly know nothing nor have we seen any dendro character in action. So that might be a addition later on.

I’m really interrested if we find out the actual criteria for reciving each Vision one day

- Jean stuck a hand out for Ainz, which he shook it.

(Ainz) “Kazuma and his group will push that to the limit.”

(Amber) “...What?”

(Noelle) “Excuse me, are you Sharon Kreuger?”

(Sharon) “Indeed I am, how may I be of assistance?”

(Noelle) “I am Noelle, I am the maid for Lady Jean. I was told you are House Isekai and Class VII’s original retainer?”

(Sharon) “I am, they are all like family. I assume the same can be said of your charge?”

(Noelle) “Y-Yes! I was just wondering if...Um...C-Could I have you as a mentor?”

(Noelle) “From what I have been told from Lady Alisa, you are like a super maid! You can do anything while also being able to fight with the best combat instructors in your class!”

(Noelle) “Yes, ma’am!”

- Sharon kept her smile as she nodded.

(Sharon) “Come along now, young Noelle. I have much to teach you.”

i loved Coco!!! And yes I would consider those movies! I haven’t seen Encanto yet though. I am honestly struggling to remember the last non/animated movie I watched lmao I think it was Don’t Look Up on Netflix (something about the end of the world and how a meteor was gonna hit earth). Rn I’m watching a crime documentary on Netflix while I’ll finish today probably and I’m slowlyyyy watching Naruto and Hometown Cha Cha (romantic kdrama) so I kinda flip flop between them depending on how I’m feeling.

omg starting genshin was so fun... the casual exploration was probably the most joyful thing ever ! and i can sorta relate to not having strong enough parties. my characters are just ok.. i don't care. they can get the job done and that's it and i'm happy with it askjdhaskjd

i don't really have a specific party anymore (mainly because i make very disfunctional parties with a bunch of characters who i want to get friendship levels up with)

buuut my 2 main damage dealers are kaeya and ningguan! i love them both to death, i've put the most effort into them, they're my pride and joy and i'm simping for them. hard.

then my best pyro support is xiangling (my baby daughter)

another great support but also a healer - bennet (my baby son)

epic anemo god - venti (absolute creature i adore him)

main geo support - albedo (stole all of my money i hate him)

so yeah i guess my "ideal" team would have kaeya, ningguan, venti and somebody else depending on the situation :p

(back in the days when i didn't spend much primogems my main team was kaeya, amber (replaced by xiangling once i got her), lisa and traveler (replaced by ningguan once i got into liyue lol))

Hi, I'm going to give the "mansion boys™" genshin mains/characters I think they would like (personal opinion add what you want I'm curious) +if I trust them as healers and teammates

This is part 1 because I'm currently dying

Theo: THE diluc main probably hates Kaeya because he finds him annoying he also likes Albedo and probably Xiao and keqing too. CAN be a good teammate but most of the times he's kinda rude (depends if he likes you or not tbh ) he will not play healer on his own...like you have to force him to play healer

Vincent: Bennett main I feel like he also likes Noelle or Ganyu (idk again vibes I don't have ganyu so I don't know her extremely well) wanted Albedo but got only Bennett cons.

Yes I would trust him in everything. Best teammate and actually knows how to play healer without dying or let people die

Arthur: not to be obvious but he definitely kins mains Kaeya and Childe (he's like that one flirty Childe main that flexes damage) also likes Lisa and Beidou/Yanfei(women go brrr) idk if I trust him as healer but I think that other than flexing damage and arguing/flirting sometimes he's decent?? As teammate

Dazai: fischl. Can't explain why but fischl. And Venti obv, probably made Barbara main DPS just to annoy Isaac. DON'T MAKE HIM A HEALER I firmly believe he's the nightmare of every player

Isaac: Sucrose, Chongyun and Mona again just vibe I don't have an explanation other than they remind me, idk how, of him.

( doesn't know how things work and he's very strict on roles...ex isacc: "barbara is a healer she can't be a DPS, she's not good" Dazai: "oh is that so?")

Don't make him be the healer. He literally dies as soon as you start the domain

Sebastian: Xingqiuuuu on this one I do not accept criticism. You can trust this man as healer, probably the dude that goes in low-level worlds to help (knows the lore of every character)

Genshin impact Favourite four star? Favourite five star?

YES SOMEONE FINALLY SENT ONE IN!

Favorite 5* is Xiao, first 5* I ever pulled. I love him so much I specifically went and pulled Zhongli, Venti, and Albedo to build a team for him, and built my Jean after losing my 50/50 to her. Twice. Both he and his weapon (Blackcliff Pole) are level 90 now. F2P BTW.

Favorite 4* is Xiangling, followed closely by Noelle. I have C6'd my Bennett to make Xiangling deal more damage from that 15% pyro damage bonus. (I'm in the camp that c6 Bennett is only bad if you don't know what you're doing. I do, and don't use the units that need Bennett boost and deal physical damage. Besides, Sara exists.) It's also kind of funny when I play co-op with a Eula main or something.

Sadly I only have c3 Xiangling. I really, really want her c4. She was my second main after Noelle and the reason why I have a 80/90 Crescent Pike in my inventory now. I'm seriously considering spending my first crown on her burst.

Noelle was my first main, back to when I just started the game and didn't know what I was doing. She was also my first c6 character! I want to build her bc she deserves it, but I don't have enough resin. Sad times.

My positioning towards Ships & Relationships from Genshin Impact

I wanted to do a list of my ships and also organize them into categories, but as a multishipper and as someone who doesn't really distinguish between platonic and romantic attraction, I ended up with a massive list and I wanted to share it, even if just to call attention to ships I've seen and support that are not as well-known. I don't even know if I envision my ships as a romantic relationship or a more queerplatonic one...

Disclaimer: I pretty much support all ships except if they involve Lolis or Paimon. I also headcanon and strongly believe that the Traveler is immortal and not a minor, but I recognize that is up to interpretation to some extent and as such, feel free to block me if this bothers you. But I'm not shutting down certain ships just because of a theory: I will believe that who ships the Traveler with a minor headcanons them as a minor, and who ships the Traveler with an adult headcanons them as adult (at least, that's the way I support those ships and the condition to ship them myself).

Also, I will try to apply the ship name but there are some names that escape me.

Main ships - with the Traveler (in a way I ship the siblings with everyone except Lolis of course, but these are my mains:

Aether + Venti

Traveler + Albedo

Kaeluc (Kaeya + Diluc, interpret them as brothers if you want but for me they are sworn-brothers, also I shipped them waaay before knowing they grew up together)

Fischl + Bennet (a straight ship!! Their voice lines are pretty cute)

Xiedo (Xiao + Albedo, this started as a crackship between my favorite boys but now I realized their backgrounds have a lot of potential and their color schemes (eyes and hair) and elements oppose each other and fiejf wpowjfowjpdqw)

Xinyan <> Xiangling <> Chongyun <> Xingqiu (just the combinations side by side, and I love the rap battles between Xingqiu and Hu Tao as well but I don’t include her in the ship)

Monalisa (best ship name, congratulations to whoever came up with this)

Dansleif + Ganyu (look, I saw this once on tumblr and it was pretty sweet)

Keqing + Mona (I don't know why people ship them unless aesthetics, but I want to say I support them)

Diluc + Zhongli (as a counterpart for Kaeya + Childe? Sure)

Signora + Tsaritsa (YES)

I also headcanon that most places in Teyvat are okay with ethical non-monogamy and don't assume a certain orientation as the default, and seeing how the dating hangout system in 1.4 lets us pretty much start building our harem, I'd say canon is on my side >.< Not really, but I still like to consider it plausible at least in the City of Freedom.
