People say that Myungha is oblivious of Yeowon's feelings, and they're right.
However, Myungha is incredibly valid for this. We're forgetting that he's a grown man and they're children. While Yeowon and Sangwan are catching feelings, Myungha is looking at them and seeing children. Even look at the way he talks to them. How scolds Sangwan and ruffles Yeowon's hair.
The possibility of romance with either of them isn't even on his radar yet. And yes, I know. The show will eventually make him come to terms with those feelings but we should appreciate the fact that he spent 4 episodes reacting to teenage boys' crushes by ignoring said crushes.
I feel like the hints at his memory loss might be a way to de-age him back to teenage-hood. I could be wrong.
But until that happens, Myungha is so valid for treating Yeowon's feeling like they don't exist.

A World Without Men: Inside South Korea’s 4B Movement
For Youngmi and many others who subscribe to its basic premises, 4B, or “practicing bihon,” is the only path by which a Korean woman today can live autonomously. In their view, Korean men are essentially beyond redemption, and Korean culture, on the whole, is hopelessly patriarchal — often downright misogynistic. A 2016 survey by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family found the incidence of intimate-partner violence at 41.5 percent, significantly higher than the global average of 30 percent. While 4B’s adherents may hope to change society — through demonstrations and online activism, and by modeling an alternative lifestyle to other women — they are not trying to change the men whom they view as their oppressors. It is too soon to tell whether this movement can survive and thrive over the long haul. But its ideas and actions have already affected the country’s online discourse, its politics, and most of all, individual women’s lives.
“Practicing bihon means you’re eliminating the risks that come from heterosexual marriage or dating,” Yeowon, a 26-year-old office worker, told me on a café terrace in the seaside southern city of Busan. We talked over coffee and pastries, along with Yeowon’s girlfriend and another of their friends, all of them wearing wide black pants and black sweaters and sporting cropped short haircuts. Those risks Yeowon alluded to might seem familiar — trading career for child-rearing and housework, as well as the threat of physical violence — but in Korea, Yeowon said, marriage presents an existential threat.

LOONA royals huh? Which do you ship more then?
- HyeWon + YeoRry
- HyeRim + YeoWon
See, I'm both a HyeWon and HyeRim shipper. Yeojin is just too wild to contain and you should read @capslocked's Winter Weather Advisory for why Yeojin is too much.

A HyeWon shipper, I see. Gowon said that Hyeju is her "soulmate" but Yeojin is her "housewife". What do you think about that? Which one is stronger then? HyeWon or YeoWon?
It’s HyeWon or no one.

But if Yeojin wants to be my housewife…

29 again
Myungha misunderstood the assignment.
Tumblr media
He'd thought the penalty of death was his. He should have known that he was nothing more than a substitute for Yeowon's pain. Because the pain would always be there. But if he wanted Yeowon to avoid it, Myungha had to take it on. He should have known. At any moment in the 300 days they'd spent together, he should have known that to keep Yeowon from jumping off that building, Myungha was going to have to do it himself.
As he floated to the ground, watching his inevitable death rush the towards him, Myungha finally understood that the only death that he was fighting to avoid was Yeowon's.
Not his own.
As he slammed into the pavement, Myungha gasped into consciousness as he sat up at the bar. Breathing hard, he stared down at his hands, taking in the bar top, the glass of alcohol and the distinct smell of mixed scents in a bar. He touched his face, unable to believe that he was, once again, 29-years-old.
After 300 days as a teenager.
After 300 days with Yeow… Myungha felt a slight stab in his chest.
"Of course," a bored, familiar voice said beside him. "Figures that the only sympathetic ear would be bored of my sabb story."
Myungha's jaw dropped as he turned to the left to find Cha Yeowon getting up from a bar stool.
Except, it wasn't the Cha Yeowon that he knew. In a blue, pressed shirt and pair of nicely fitted trousers, this Cha Yeowon was an adult. His features were very much the same but they'd angled out even more, sitting pretty beneath clean shaven facial hair.
He signalled for the bartender and when he got there, Cha Yeowon said, "I'll cover his tab, too." He handed the man his card.
"Cha Yeowon?" Myungha asked.
"In the flesh," Yeowon said dryly.
Unable to believe it, Myungha reached out and grabbed Yeowon's hand, expecting to meet nothing but air. He was surprised when his fingers closed round Yeowon's wrist.
"You're…" Myungha began. "You're real."
"I should hope so," he replied as he got back his card from the bartender.
Myungha got up to hug him but Yeowon turned away, picking up his jacket to leave.
"Let me… Let me walk you home," Myungha suggested, unable to help himself.
Sighing, Yeowon slowly turned around. "Look, you've done your part as a polite stranger. On a day with two horrible races, an angry couch and fans telling me to kill myself online, you've been nice and you listened to me complain about my life. But that's it. You don't have to do anymore than that."
"But I want to," Myungha said, picking up his own jacket. Moments ago, he'd thought he'd never see Yeowon again, but there he was. Myungha wasn't just going to let him walk away. "I'll walk you home."
"I should be walking you home," Yeowon said. "You were just asleep at the bar."
"I wasn't. I heard every word."
"Really? What's my coach's name?"
"Lee Bongsu," he offered, wondering if the couch in the game was the same as real life.
Yeowon scoffed in disbelief. "You really were listening."
"I told you, now come," he said placing an overly familiar hand on Yeowon's waist before he could stop himself. As soon as he realised what he was doing, he waited for Yeowon to push him away, but Yeowon didn't. Instead, he let Myungha lead him out of the bar.
Myungha had no idea if he'd spent 10 months getting to know Yeowon inside a game world, or if everything he knew had been from Yeowon oversharing at a bar. But one thing Myungha knew for sure was that he was right where he wanted to be. By Yeowon's side. And if this was some trick, or some game, or some extended figment of his imagination, Myungha didn't care. Because all he knew was that he was touching Yeowon again. He was alive again.
And this time, Myungha was going to cherish every moment.
