Something Real: Chapter Twelve

Pairings: Loki X Reader

Summary: Loki and Reader learn some things about Maza…

A/N: Sorry it took me a while to post…I was on vacation and then I found out I have COVID…yay me! Forgive me if there are any mistakes…COVID brain 😷

“Alright boys have a good day at school.”, you kneel down and give the twins a hug. “I love you both, if you need anything have the school call me ok?”.

They both nod, Loki kneels down as well and gives them his own hugs, “we love you both, have a great day.”.

“Love you too.”, they say in unison and then they turn and walk to the school hand in hand.

“I hope Narfi will be ok today.”, you express your worry out loud.

Loki places his hand on your shoulder, “he will be fine, they both will be.”

Loki then opens a portal to the hospital so you can get to work, “what are your plans for today?”, you ask.

“I will be going to speak with Thor shortly.”, he responds quietly. You assume to try and get some more information on Maza.

You nod, “ok…well tell him I said hello. Have a good day…”, you feel awkward now. You want to give him a hug and kiss like you have been but this lingering problem with Maza, you thought better of it.

Loki notices your conflicted emotions and decides to make it easier on you, “I will see you later to collect the children, have a good day at work y/n.”. He opens another portal straight to Thor’s house and it closes behind him. You put your head down and go inside the hospital to start your work day. The first person you see is Kelly of course, “hey y/n! You never texted me yesterday, was everything ok?”

You shake your head, “not really…”, your eyes immediately start filling with tears. “Can we talk?”, you ask her, thankful that you can tell her everything that’s bothering you. She was one of the few people you can trust and you knew that anything you told her about Loki would stay between you both.

“Of course! Amira?”, she gets the other nurses attention, “y/n and I are going to talk in the office for a little bit, do you mind holding down the front?”

“Sure, go ahead”, she says with a smile.

You and Kelly walk into the office and you both sit down, you take a deep breath to calm your emotions. You knew that if you got too lost in them that Narfi might be able to feel your distressed emotions again. You take a deep breath and start telling Kelly what happened, “do you remember that woman from yesterday?”, Kelly nods. “She told me that she and Loki had an affair on Asgard before Ragnarok….”

Kelly’s eyes open wide with shock, “what?! Why the fuck would she come to your job to tell you that?!”

“She said that she felt like I deserved to know and that she had talked to Loki the day before, she assumed that he wouldn’t tell me…which he didn’t and now I know why he was so distant…I confronted him about it when he got home.”

“And what did he say?”.

“He said that he doesn’t really believe her, that he doesn’t believe he would betray me that way…all it did was convince me that he will eventually want to leave me…that I’m not enough and if the kids weren’t here…”, you don’t finish your sentence. You don’t need to.

Kelly looks at you sadly, “y/n no…he loves you..like I told you before, everyone can see the way he looks at you. I don’t understand one thing though…”

You look at her confused.. “what?”

“Why can’t he tell if she’s lying or not? I thought he was the God of them. Wouldn’t he be able to tell?”

You shook your head, “I don’t know, I never really questioned him too much about that. I only really focused on the fact that his variant had cheated on me..”

“I feel like you guys need to address that first..that sounds a little suspicious to me…who is this Maza girl anyway? It’s convenient that she’s the only one who remembers this affair..”

Just as you start to really let Kelly’s words sink in there was a light knock on the door.

Knock Knock Knock

You dry the tears on your face, “come in..”

The door opens and one of the younger healers comes in.

“Hello ladies..a word?”, she asks sweetly.

You look at Kelly and you both nod, “how can we help you Birget?”

“Lady Y/n, as you know I was not a palace healer but one of the palace maids.”, this was the case for a lot of the younger healers, most of them deciding to change professions in New Asgard. “I noticed someone I knew from my time as a maid in Asgard here yesterday…Maza?”, you look at her in surprise and a little suspicion. 

“Yes..what about her?”, Kelly asks for you.

Birget looks to you, “well, my lady if I may, I noticed your swift departure yesterday after her visit and I feel she might have said something that upset you..you see my lady, I worked alongside Maza and I feel there is something you should know. I suspect I am correct and she did indeed say something damaging to you about the prince?” 

You nod.

 Birget nods and continues, “Maza had a deep…obsession with Prince Loki…”

“Obsession?”, you ask.

“She had this idea in her head that if she became close enough with the prince that he would see that they were a good match. She studied things he was interested in, spent her time in the library reading the books he would return after he read them himself. She tried to work her way up to being a personal maid of one of the members of the royal family…but then Prince Loki perished…or we thought he did…and then he was returned and sentenced to the dungeons she attempted to be the personal maid to him there…”. Birget giggled slightly, “silly girl knew that it was the Allmother’s own royal maids that delivered to Prince Loki”, her face grows somber, “…and then…the dark elves came…Prince Loki perished…again…a few years pass…and then the day that Thor returned, revealing Loki’s disguise…Maza was so happy to see him again…”, you interrupt her.

“Wait…Maza didn’t know about Loki’s illusion as Odin?”, you ask.

She shakes her head, “no of course not, no one knew…and when it was revealed that he was infatuated with you a midgardian? That you had been courting him that entire time? She was irate…and after her visit yesterday I can only assume she had said something hurtful to you…I just wanted you to know of her past before she causes irreparable damage to your future..I’ll leave you now…”, Birget goes to leave.

“Wait..”, you stop her, “does Maza have magic?”.

Birget thinks for a moment, “no my lady, but as I said she spent a lot of time reading things Prince Loki had studied, I would not be surprised if she…picked up a few things…”.

“How do you know all of this? You know a lot for someone who just worked with her..”, Kelly asks with some suspicion.

“We were roommates, Maza and I. I always thought she was harmless with her infatuation…but now…”, she looks over to you, “I fear she may do something desperate and as I said the way you left yesterday..I would never forgive myself if she did something to hurt you or your family.”

Birget leaves the room and you look over at Kelly, “huh…I don’t know what to make of that…”, you admit.

Kelly looks at you pensively, “I think you need to talk to Loki about all of this…the possibility of Maza lying about all of this is more likely now…”

~~Meanwhile~~

The portal closes behind Loki and he closes his eyes, he hated this feeling of you pulling away from him. He needed to fix this, quickly.

Knock Knock Knock

The door opened and Thor looked at his crestfallen  brother, “oh Loki..come in…I assume y/n did not take it well..”.

Loki walks in the house with his head down, “I don’t know where to even begin Thor…she knew before I could tell her..”

Thor’s eyes open wide in surprise, “what? How?”

Loki plops down on the couch, “Maza…she went to the hospital and told her everything…y/n was waiting for me at home when I left yours…she told me she wanted me to leave so she can think about everything and what she wants to do next..she believes that I will become bored of her and leave her and the children..”.

“Oh Loki..”, Thor looks to the ground and shakes his head as he walks over to the couch to have a seat with his brother.

“Not long after I left the house, she called me and said there was an emergency with Narfi at the school.”, Loki continued but Thor interrupted him. “An emergency?! What has happened?!”.

“Relax oaf and I will tell you…his power as an empath is getting stronger and he doesn’t have the ability to control it completely just yet…he felt y/n’s and my emotions and he became overwhelmed…we brought him home and when we started telling the boys that I would be staying with you for the next few days Narfi’s emotions caused him to have his first magical burst.”

“Norns…is he alright?”, Thor asks in concern.

“Yes..he destroyed a good portion of the home which I was able to fix immediately. Vali was actually the one to help him draw his power back…it was wonderful to watch, their bond is getting stronger the more I work with them.”, Loki couldn’t help the goofy proud smile on his face, his children made him so happy, which then quickly changed to a sad smile. “I can’t lose them Thor…”.

Thor places his hand on Loki’s back, “we will get to the bottom of this Loki and if this Maza woman is telling you the truth then…you will have to do everything in your power to prove to y/n that you won’t make the same mistake as the Loki from this time..I’m so sorry brother..”.

Loki nods, “you’re right..I need your help Thor…I need to find out more about Maza, I still don’t believe her story completely.”.

“I don’t understand why you would not be able to tell she was lying..do you believe she has cast some kind of spell?”.

“It’s possible but doubtful…it would have to be incredibly powerful magic in order to get a lie passed me…she could be working with someone who is…”

“Let us go speak with Val, I believe we keep a log of the current population of New Asgard with their past occupations. Maybe we will learn something there.”

Loki nods, “let us go, the quicker I find answers the quicker I get my family back..”

The brother’s walk out of the house and another portal takes them directly to Val’s office. They knock and hear her voice to enter not long after.

“Uh oh, what brings both Odinson’s to my office? Should I be concerned?”

“Val, we need to see the log of current Asgardians living in New Asgard.”, Thor asks.

“What for?”, she asks suspiciously.

“There is someone making claims against me and I need to find out if what she is saying has any merit.”, Loki explains.

“What kind of claims?”, Val questions.

“What does it matter?”, Loki asks annoyed.

“It matters a great deal…did you bring harm to this person? Are you planning on bringing harm to this person with the information you learn? I have a duty to protect the people of New Asgard Loki…even from it’s Princes.”

Thor interjects, “Val please, my brother has no intention of hurting this woman…she is claiming something that could tear my brother’s family apart…if not for Loki…do it for y/n…for Narfi and Vali?…”

She stares them both down and then rolls her eyes, “don’t make me regret this…please..”

They both nod, “thank you Val.”, Loki thanks her in his relief.

She stands and walks to the bookshelf behind her and pulls out the book that holds the information they require, she opens it “name?”

“Maza…that’s all..”, Loki tells her.

“Daughter of?….”

Loki shrugs his shoulders.

“Wow you both came prepared I see..what does she do here currently?”, she asks.

“She works in the newly built restaurant in town, I don’t know what she did previously..”

Val nods her head and uses her finger to skim through the names on the page.

“Maza….Maza…Maza…ahh..here…Maza Issidottir…she was a palace maid..”

“A maid? Oh brother this doesn’t bode well for you…I know of your escapades with the palace maids..”, Thor says in concern.

“Hush brother…I still don’t believe the story she’s telling..”

“What story exactly?”, Val asks curiously. 

Loki just stares at the page so Thor answers, “this woman is claiming my brother had an affair with her just before Ragnarok…”

“Betraying y/n?”, Val says nastily.

“I would never betray y/n. I love her.”, Loki defends.

“Clearly.”, Val sneers in response.

“Don’t speak as if you know, you weren’t there! Neither was I for that matter! My variant is responsible for all of this and I’m here paying the price!”, Loki storms out.

Thor looks at Val, “this has disrupted their lives, the children are upset. Y/n is devastated. Loki feels in is heart that she is lying and I believe him. I will do everything I can do to find the answers he is searching for, I finally see my brother happy and at peace..I don’t want this to destroy that for him.”. Thor didn’t say anything else, he just walked out the door in search of his brother. He finds him sitting on the steps of the town hall, staring down at his hands, Thor sits down next to him and places his hand on Loki’s back. “All will be well brother, you will see.”

Loki snaps his head at his brother and Thor is taken aback by his red tear filled eyes, “how Thor? How will this all be well..she will never get passed this…”

“Loki…y/n loves you…as I said before, if it is true, you will need to prove to y/n that you will not make that same mistake…”

Loki closes his eyes and nods his head, the motions forcing his tears to fall.

“Prince Loki?”

Thor looked up and didn’t recognize the woman but Loki’s body immediately seized.

“Maza. What do you want?..”, Loki asks nastily.

“Are you alright?”, she asks shyly.

“Am I alright?…no Maza, I am not alright…you went to y/n’s job and told her your lies…how do you think I am doing exactly?!”, Loki stands from the step.

Thor stands with him and places a hand on his chest, “brother, calm.”, he turns his attention towards Maza. “Maza…I suggest you leave, you have caused much distress to my brother and his family.”

“My prince, I only wished to…”, she starts to defend.

“To what?! Destroy my life? My family? I came here looking for peace! Y/n, Narfi and Vali are my peace…and you are trying to take them away from me…do as my brother suggests and leave before I do something else to regret.”

Maza gives Loki one last sad look, “my apologies My Prince.”. She curtsy’s and turns away from Loki and Thor. They don’t notice an irate look take up the features of her face as she walks away.

Thor gets in Loki’s line of sight and grabs him by the face, “I know you have those dark thoughts running through your head.”.

“Narfi said it while he was in his trance, how it could be so easy to resolve our situation with Maza…no one would come looking for her…”, Loki says out loud while seemingly staring through Thor like he was in his own trance.

Thor increases the strength in his hold and shakes Loki’s head, “and what of y/n? What would she think of you if you just outright killed her? And your sons? What would you be teaching them?”.

“They would never know!”, Loki tries to convince Thor. And possibly himself.

“But you would”, Thor shakes him again…a little harder, “you would brother and it would destroy your soul…you would feel the weight of this secret every time you looked into your children’s eyes…every I love you you express to y/n will always stink with the stench of your lie…we will find another way…we will prove her dishonesty brother..”

Loki’s cellphone rings. He looks at the screen and see’s y/n’s face on it. He immediately rips himself away from Thor’s grasp and answers, scared another incident happened at the school. It was still early afternoon so you shouldn’t be getting out of work yet. 

“Y/n?”, he closes his eyes to calm his beating heart.

“Loki, I just learned something about Maza. Can you come to the hospital?”.

“Yes, Thor and I will be there in a moment.”, he hangs up and opens a portal to the hospital. Thor steps through with him no questions asked, they immediately run inside and they see Kelly up front. “Kelly! Where is y/n?”, Loki asks y/n’s friend.

“Office.”, she was with a patient in the front so she just points to the door that y/n was waiting behind.

Loki nods his thanks and him and Thor go to the room Kelly pointed to. Loki thrusts the door open but it’s…empty. Where were you? Loki walks out to Kelly and politely interrupts the interaction between Kelly and her patient, “excuse me, forgive me, nurse y/n was in which office?”. Trying to sound like it was a work related situation for Kelly’s sake. 

She looks over to where Thor was waiting and she nods her head, “that’s the office I left her in..she’s not there?”.

Loki shakes his head, “no..is it possible she left to go to a different office?”

Kelly shakes her head, “no..she said she would be in there just in case we got swamped up here…did you try calling her phone?”

“Right.”, he turns and immediately dialed your number and he hears your ringtone but it sounds far away. He looks towards the office where Thor was waiting and sees Thor walk out of it with y/n’s phone in his hand. Loki runs over to Thor and stares at the phone in his hand, it was a picture of the two of them. Loki starts to feel panic. 

“Where is she?”

So, I got to see Avengers: Endgame and, as always, I have some opinions about it!  AVENGERS ENDGAME SPOILERS abound, of course!

There are a lot of things about the movie I really, really loved.  A lot of the more technical stuff, like the balance of such a huge cast and some of the shots of the fight scenes, worked incredibly well for me.  The emotional beats largely really worked for me, too.  I’m even at peace with the Loki stuff! Where the movie loses me is in two places.  Everything else I could have bent over backwards a little to reach for, everything else I could have made sense of, even if it was frustrating (the lack of fanfare around Natasha’s death really stung), but these two things I cannot get past--the absolute destruction of the arcs of Thor and Steve’s character arcs. I’m largely only here for Thor at this point and the whole point of him having grown up and matured is absolutely wiped out in Endgame.  He runs away from facing anything, he gets a ton of sloppy mess jokes and weight gain jokes aimed at him, everything that was built up before this is knocked over to instead showcase, gosh, yes, it’s totally Thor’s fault that he didn’t aim for the head, so you should blame him just as much for Thanos’ actions!  (The Russos have basically said as much in interviews!)  And this felt like punishing the character for that, not in a way that felt true to Thor’s character, who has always been about facing something really hard and doing something about it.  That’s what he does in the Thor movie, that’s what he does in The Dark World, that’s what he does in Ragnarok. And I get that maybe this was meant to be the straw that broke the camel’s back, but the movie puts forth that he would run away and hide, instead of going out and smashing everything in his path, like, I don’t believe Thor would do this for a second.  He’s not perfect, I can absolutely believe he would step aside if he felt he was failing Asgard, but not in this manner, and when you combine it with the fucking heinous weight jokes, it felt like a punishment, more than a character arc. The other thing is Steve.  95% of Steve’s actions in the movie were fine for me, I felt a lot for him and I liked it!  It’s that fucking ending that got me.  Because, okay, the set-up seems to be this--the Ancient One tells Bruce that the Infinity Stones create the flow of time, so if you take one out, you create a branch reality, except that branch is absolutely FUCKED because it will be eaten away at by darkness.  So, the timeline has to remain a closed loop, otherwise either the current timeline or the branch timeline is going to be an absolute shitshow.  This is why they absolutely have to return the Infinity Stones to where and when they got them. Which means, when they win the day and Thanos is defeated, they have to return the Infinity Stones and Steve is elected to do it.  But he doesn’t come back via time travel.  Instead, they suddenly look over and there’s Old Steve, who lived a life with Peggy in the past, he decided to stay and live his life.  Yay, happy ending!  Except, I hate it. One, this completely kicks over the theme of how everything that happened after the big tragedy has meaning, too.  Tony’s an example of why they can’t just make it so the snap never happened, because then everything in those five years would be erased, including the precious daughter he has.  What happens after the tragedy has meaning, the growth after that has meaning.  The growth Steve has been going through for the last six movies, adjusting to the present, growing from there has meaning. Except, no, it doesn’t, because he fucked off to the past to go marry Peggy and live with her. But, two, because this is a closed loop and everything seems the same (Bucky’s still there, Sam knows Steve, etc.) that means the timeline hasn’t been changed. Which then implies Steve Rogers went back into the past, knew Bucky was getting tortured FOR SEVENTY+ YEARS, knew that HYDRA was being built up within SHIELD, Peggy’s life’s work, and didn’t say or do shit about it. I don’t think this is what they meant to imply with the movie and maybe they’ll come out with some explanation about how time travel works (but I don’t think it can be an alternate timeline that Steve is in, because HE IS IN THE MAIN ONE AGAIN when he’s Old Steve, no, he was in the same timeline) to excuse it, but the way it’s set up, it implies that STEVE ROGERS went back and just sat down and had a life lived back then, at the expense of Bucky’s torture and the rise of HYDRA. It doesn’t help that, man, they REALLY did not want to acknowledge Bucky’s important to Steve in this movie, like the guy didn’t basically just tell the entire government to go fuck themselves because of Bucky, but they literally got like three lines and a .5 second hug and not even a conversation at the end??  It felt very NO HOMO!!!! NONE AT ALL!!! to me, especially with the shockingly lackluster first queer character in the opening scenes. So, everything else, like Bruce’s ENTIRE NARRATIVE ARC about making peace with the Hulk happens OFF SCREEN, or the way Natasha’s death doesn’t have a whole lot of fanfare, it was written into the mid-point of the movie, so it has nowhere near the impact that Tony’s death has, that the Gamora we know is gone, she’s back to pre-movies Gamora and all that growth she had is still dead, that they killed past Nebula, etc. There were so many moments that were so good--everything with Scott was really fun, everything with Carol was pretty great, the return of the heroes from the Snap was INCREDIBLE, the huge, huge battle scene was fantastic, I actually liked some of the stuff about Natasha’s death otherwise, I thought Tony’s send-off was emotionally satisfying for me, “We’re gonna be okay, Tony.  You can rest now.” STILL makes me tear up for how it was delivered. But then I think about the stuff with Thor and Steve and it ruins for me what would have otherwise been a great send-off to the original Avengers.

Endgame Spoilers

Listen up people I am here to rant.

Tony Stark is effing amazing and I love every second of his gilded trashbag life. But this was just a killer. Dad Tony was everything I wanted and more let me tell ya. I love you 3000 is freaking heartbreaking. I have no issue with his arc in the movie at all even if the end does cause me to break out into back breaking sobs because fuck you. If Tony is going to die by gauntlet then you had better be damn sure everyone he even peripherally gave a damn about is going to make it through this fight. Natasha, Gamora, Loki, and every single Asgardian Tony could remember would have been brought back because that man is the definition of all or nothing.

What I have issues with is the sheer lack of world building we get in this movie. Honestly its the Snap and the only glimpse of this Post apocalyptic world is group Therapy and Remembrance walls. As well as several miscellaneous flashbacks to Hawk-eyes surprise family? That not even comic fans are super attached too because they were literally made up probably for male man pain. Where was the atmosphere? Where was the drama? Where was the angst? Post snap was quite honestly not heart wrenchingly rendered into a suitable level of grief. It just wasn't. I expected break downs and rage. All I got was three seconds of Natasha tears as she has let someone else tracking down her soulbro. And a Tony Stark screaming at Captain America. This movie just told us what was happening didn't show us what was happening. It was piss poor story boarding.

Then there was the character development. Like wow. We get all these new and amazing side characters in which you could have fleshed out and made us root for and you just throw them to the sea like chum. -Captain marvel is just not there at all, she gets a gratuituous girl power scene which was random and then she gets slapped to the ground never to get up? Right after she take a head butt without a single flinch. You can small Thanos's fear right then. -Rocket gets to slap Thor? Thats it thats his most memorable moment other the holding Nebula's hand. -Rhodey has some of the best lines but no development or follow up. -Nebula there is so much happening off screen that it physically hurts me. She is amazing. I adore her. I want a series of her. Nebula is my bitch bea. I found a new hoe to die for and it is she. She is my new ride or die. Found family and redemption arcs come at me. -Sam and Bucky both get maybe two lines a piece and that just irks me.

Time travel... yes bitch I am always there for time travel hijinks and drama but honestly five minutes of a single episode of leverage had more heist feels then this three hour train wreck. It might have been the lack of a great soundtrack but it just wasn't that compelling to watch. I'm also really confused about the time travel thearory in this shit because they kept going back on thier own writing through out the movie (cough cough STEVE cough) I'm a fan of we rewrite the future by affecting the past. Butterfly effect is my Jam. This alternate reality thing is fun yes but it can't really be that because they may create alternate realities okay? then if there was the need for pym particals for time travel to occur how did Thanos's big ass army get enough to travel through time to the future? Because the avengers were out or at least low regardless of Steve's thievery and Nebula only had the one from my understanding. Also if changing the reality makes a new reality how the fuck was Steve in this reality.

Bruce , Bruce, Bruce. My beautiful green rage monster and yoga doctorate what have they done to you. What is going on. Why are you so cheerful. Why are you at peace. I hate to say it but go back. Why are we still doing this Nat/Bruce ship? It is so random. I just can't see it. Fandom can trick me into it for a few chapters but not forever.  Ya'll should have taken a hint from Ragnorok give me that personality and it would have been a win. Shock and dismay was my only emotions when it came to this mess.

My constant rage with this series is pick up an effin comic book. Sit down watch a cartoon. If anyone is going to become a human disaster post Snap its going to be effin Hawkeye. Like yay Ronin cool but what the actual fuck. Why did you come at me like that? Hawkeye is not your edgy overlord. He probably would have died ages ago with out the female influences in his life. He has regular dates with dumpsters.  I'm sure he even has a ranking system for prefered dumpsters to end up in after a beat down. Yes he is startlingly competent but even he doesn't know how he does it half the time. He eats food off the floor and thinks expiration dates are guidelines.

Thor was a new one. They threw me for a loop. One this man needs a hug. Two, why is no one hugging him? His rampant depression and weight gain shouldn't have been the butt of jokes. There should have been some honest concern and meaningful conversations with the living not the dead. Thor never doubted his mother's love. That was never up for debate. Howard Stark. Wow just wow I thought I was having some weird ass delusion. That man is scum. Comic canon scum. Okay, so while Liz loves her friends and 1-A to death, she was looking for someone closer to her age when it came to a lover.

She wasn’t expecting to find a friend in one of the famous “Big Three”

Liz first saw Nejire at the Culture Festival, where she won the beauty pageant.

Liz approached her to compliment her and congratulate her, and she got pulled aside by Nejire for her tell her how much she loved her outfit

They hit it off like nobody's business after that, and exchanged numbers to talk after Liz left

They first established their relationship while apart, or started it as a long distance one.

Nejire wormed her way into the exchanges by saying she and her fellow friends would be excellent examples of upperclassmen for the DWMA to see

So Liz was extremely shocked to see Nejire exit the airport with 1-A and a few 1-B students behind her

The two loooooooove to do each other’s hair, makeup, nails, you name it.  Liz loves Nejire’s hair especially, with its length and color

They scared the absolute shit outta Kid once when he came into Liz’s room and they turned to him with colorful mud masks on

They seem like a couple that would adore cafe dates.  

Their friends really just Liz’s constantly ask when they’re gonna get married

When Liz told Nejire about her early life, living on the streets and all, she kinda felt obliged to start giving Liz money and making sure she eats enough, even if Liz has long since moved past it

Welcome the “we get -18 hours of sleep” couple

It’s kinda funny because they urge each other to get sleep but never sleep themselves soooo it just them on the couch watching TV till they pass out

Okay in all seriousness, Crona was extremely nervous at the exchanges, feeling overwhelmed by the sheer mass of UA students

Shinsou actually saved Crona from a near breakdown after they got bombarded by the talkative students of 1-A and Shinsou jumped in and told them to cool down you’re scaring them you fucktards

They became friends surprisingly quickly, bonding over being total wallflowers and silently judged their classmate’s sanity

Shinsou’s a bit of an odd case in the exchanges.  He successfully transferred into the Hero Course, but there’s a huge debate over which class he’ll go into I like to mentally remove Mineta so it’ll be 1-A in the end

Crona’s favorite story from Shinsou is when he moved into the dorms, and he replaced Mineta and got his room.  Apparently, he went in to clean the room as if treading on a nuclear meltdown

Okay Shinsou loves how tall Crona is.  He secretly loves getting hose top of the head kisses Crona likes to give him

They love watching TV together, especially late into the night

Also they love training together.  Since Crona is so sturdy bring black blooded and all, they make a good sparring partner

Speaking of black blood, Shinsou kinda really really really hates Ragnarok

Like it isn’t even funny how much he hates him.  Ragnarok loooves to cockblock them at any given opportunity

Their confession was a bit on the awkward side.  Crona tried to be brave and make the first move, only to trip and knock them both into the fountain they were standing in front of

Crona was ready to cry at that point, but Shinsou just hugged them and said he’d date them any day

Also Shinsou is suuuuuuuper defensive of Crona.  Some people do pick on them for being the “oddball” meister, or even for their given pronoun

Make fun of Crona for their gender and Shinsou will DESTROY you.

He and Maka formed the “Protect Crona” squad

Also, Shinsou loves it when Crona calls him their hero

They also love napping really anywhere.  They were once found sleeping in a tree at the park and scared the hell out of some kids when Crona nearly fell out of it

Almost all of their dates happen at home.  They don’t really like going out in public so they just usually order pizza and watch Netflix till 3 am

Very soft kisses are exchanged all the time.

They love sleeping together.  Not so much sex, but just sleeping together at night.  Crona tends to have a lot of nightmares, so they like having someone to hold

Shinsou also finds that holding Crona until he falls asleep makes his night’s sleep better

They both don’t move in their sleep.  AT ALL.  Deku nearly called an ambulance when he went to wake them up and they didn’t budge.  Didn’t even look like they were breathing

Infinity War Review!!!

STEVE: So of course I start with my favorite character in the entire MCU franchise. Now Steve didn’t play a very big part, but it’s impressive that he tended to quietly and majestically dominate every scene he was in (okay I might be a bit biased, but there is a nobility to the character and Chris Evans is a genius). We saw Cap stick to his principles when he didn’t allow Vision to sacrifice himself, and ladies and gentlemen, that is why I love this character with all my heart and soul. Some may call him cheesy, but to me he is an inspiration. Steve is the person I want to be. Strength in the face of almost certain defeat, he never loses sight of what’s right and what isn’t right, and he will fight until the very last breath in his body to protect the people he loves.

BUCKY: Okay, sorry, yes I know he’s a very minor character in this movie but you expect me to talk about Steve and not mention Bucky immediately afterward?! So first, his interactions with Steve. Is this #stucky fan happy?! YES THEY ARE.  That hug was so tender, so warm, and I had the biggest damn smile on my face. Right, I’m not mental or anything so I know there’s no romance there, but nevertheless, the love and warmth these two characters have for one another spans decades, and it is just really, really sweet. Which is why the moment Steve kneels down and touches the earth where Bucky once stood just broke my heart. Think about what he’s been through to save his dearest friend. And just like that, he had to watch him disintegrate before his very eyes. MY HEART. There were actually a surprising number of great Bucky moments, considering how little he was in the film. His first scene was heartbreaking, as when he realized T’Challa was bringing him the metal arm, his first question was, “Where’s the fight?” The bleakness in his eyes and his voice was painful. The man has been a tool, and now, even amongst friends and allies, he’s a tool again. His interactions with Rocket were hilarious. The withering look he gives Rocket when Rocket asks about his arm was classic. And they fought together! It was great.

TONY: Okay, you’re as surprised as I am that Tony is third on this list. I like Tony a lot but he’s never been a favorite. NO MORE. His true heart came out in this movie, not that it hasn’t been there before (Tony and Steve have had the greatest growth in the MCU, and Tony is hardly the selfish playboy he was in the first Iron Man). The dream he told Pepper he had was sweet, but I love how she doesn’t put up with his shit. But it was Tony’s relationship with Peter Parker that really did it for me. When he held Peter in his arms and Peter was “dying” (we all know the kid ain’t really dead), my heart just broke. Really, Tony stole this movie. Massive kudos to RDJ.

PETER PARKER: Well he’s as cute as he’s been in the other two movies, so no surprises here. The kid consistently delivers in every scene he’s in. He’s innocent, sweet, and brave. Just a precious little munchkin.

PETER QUILL: He’s never been a favorite of mine, and I don’t really have much to say. I think the Russo Brothers had trouble writing for him. Some of his lines fell a bit flat, but Chris Pratt did his best. The character was consistent.

GAMORA: Another who’s never really been a favorite, though I’ve got nothing against her. Guys, I think Gamora might be really dead. That scene when her “dad” took her by the hand and pulled her towards the cliff… my heart just broke. Then we see her crumpled body at the bottom of the cliff. I know the Time Stone is a thing, but, still. We’ll have to see.

NEBULA: So happy to see the return of this boss bitch, yeah! My baddest robo babe was at it again. She mostly just fought a lot, and displayed some touching (angry) concern for her sister’s well-being. Their relationship touches my heart. Crazy that only she and Tony are left on that planet. Oh, and Strange.

STRANGE: He’s an interesting character, and I think Cumberbatch does a great job playing him, but the character just doesn’t seem to fit into the universe. He’s a very cold person, so we know he didn’t save Tony out of compassion. That doesn’t mean he’s a BAD person; obviously, he is doing his best to save the universe. But yeah, I don’t have much more to say about him.

DRACK, MANTIS, ROCKET, AND GROOT: I’m grouping them together for obvious reasons. More hilarious one-liners from Drack. Mantis is still really sweet. Rocket and Groot are hilarious. Thumbs up.

THOR: So Thor’s definitely another scene-stealer. (Maybe that’s why it was really weird when he and Cap shared a scene together for a few seconds. It was like… the universe broke a little.) Again, excellent consistency of character. Thor has a very commanding personality, and he’s stubborn, and he believes in himself. So when he decided he was going to go make himself a weapon, then damn it, that is what he was going to do, and no one could stop him. And turns out he was right! That weapon literally saved the day. (Or as much as it could.) As usual, I love how polite and kind he is, and Hemsworth just chews that roll up. Oh my, his grief for his brother, and his entire family, in that scene with Rocket, was heartbreaking. Good job, Hemsworth!

LOKI: He wasn’t in it for much, but again… I think he may be dead! NOOOO! I didn’t know how much I loved Loki until I lost him. In the end, he sacrificed himself for his brother. That was amazing to see. Even though he probably shouldn’t have given the Stone up to save Thor’s life… as Cap says, we don’t trade lives.

VISION AND WANDA: So, there’s just something a bit cold about these two. The actors are great, but I wasn’t feeling it. I was not sad at all when Vision died. And I need to see more from Wanda. I don’t really know her, even after all this time. Hmm.

NATASHA AND OKOYE: A pair of bad ass babes who, not surprisingly, have a couple fight scenes together. They’re both still great. Nothing more to say here.

T’CHALLA: The King didn’t have much to do here, other than to look bad ass and command his army. But he looked great doing it. Again, not much to say here. (Also my fingers are kinda getting tired at this point, haha.)

Who am I forgetting…?

BRUCE: This was a surprisingly good showing for Bruce Banner! For whatever the reason, the Hulk is refusing to come out. So Bruce had to finally stick up for himself, and the Hulkbuster armor allowed him to do that. I really feel like this character is blossoming a bit, or at least being allowed to grow as a character. He’s sort of picked up where he left off in Thor: Ragnarok. He’s sweet, curious, and maybe has some self-confidence issues. His interactions with Shuri were cute, though brief. Oh, and Shuri wasn’t in here much, so I won’t list her. Though she was ADORABLE as usual.

I’m still probably forgetting someone, but overall, everyone was great. Everyone! Thanos is a bad guy, so I won’t list him lol but he was also surprisingly well written (and well-acted, too). I feel I actually got to know this character a bit instead of him just being the Evil Villain. Heimdall’s death was bullshit, though I kind of knew he’d bite it. Also? Where is Valkyrie?! I’m sure they’ll explain her away in the next Thor movie; I doubt she died with all the other Asgardians.

PREDICTIONS:

The obvious one is that Captain Marvel will appear in the next film. I want to feel excited about this character because, yay, female superhero, right? But somehow I’m not too enthused. Not sure why.

Our Heroes will use the Time Stone to bring everyone back to life, including Loki, Heimdall, and Gamora. The only one who might not make it is Vision. (Yes, I changed my mind on this midway through typing haha.)

Tony Stark will retire. The conversation with Pepper seemed to really hint at that. And, god willing, they will let him retire instead of killing him.

Steve Rogers will not die. I don’t know why I feel this, but I do. I think the character is too beloved. People would fucking riot. No one wants Cap to die. Will he continue to star in MCU films, no. I’m pretty sure the actor is done. And that’s fine. Let Steve retire. If he DOES die, it will be a massive heroic sacrifice, and it will not be gory or disturbing… it’ll be like walking     into a brilliant light and disintegrating or something. That’s the only way they could do it. You can’t have Steve Rogers’ lifeless body just lying around. You just can’t.

Bucky or Sam will not become the new Captain America. Just because Sebastian Stan signed on for six (five now?) films doesn’t mean he’s becoming Captain America. It just means that if the studio wants him, the actor has agreed to appear. The only way it could possibly happen is if, before he dies, Steve asks Bucky to do it. Then, maybe, it could happen.

And that’s all I got for now. I’m gonna go rewatch it as soon as I can. It was good, like, really good. They handled the huge cast very well. You didn’t even feel like there were THAT many people, and you didn’t feel like anyone got the short end of the stick.
