Yandere Light Yagami fluffy headcanon
Tumblr media
Light tenderness would be really possessive.
He would like to show others that you belong to him.
And that no one else would have a chance.
He would be a god and you would be his partner.
However, he is not as possessive as he could be.
Light is the facade he has to maintain.
But public PDA would be a thing.
Holding hands for sure.
Light is always with you.
You wouldn't get much alone time with him.
He has deliberately created your schedule together.
Especially if you knew his "secret".
In private, he's not the biggest show of physical affection.
Light would always be a big spoon.
Absolutely no exceptions with this one.
His god complex already extends to physical affection.
XD
Usually you sit on his lap when he helps you with homework... Or when he does his "divine work".
However, you shouldn't touch his Death Note.
That would be forbidden.
Light kisses would usually be really possessive and deep.
Usually, both of you are out of breath during kisses.
Love bites would definitely be a thing too.
He would like the whole world to know that you are together~
Plz send me more Death note stuff~

Best Friends Forever (Platonic Yandere Death Note).
Tumblr media
Btw some of the timeline might not make sense but whatever.
"Hello."
The tiny little text popped up, a small 'ping' sound following. You groan as your bombarded with the blue light, picking it up to read the message.
"Another message from them." You thought.
They had no name. You didn't share your names with each other. You only knew him as Justice, which he told you to call him. Personally, you thought it was a corny name, but who were you to judge?
"Why are you up so late?" You're straight forward, too tired to entertain your online friend.
You watch as three dots appear before their response pops up. "I was bored." Before you could respond, another message appeared. "You're up too."
You let out another groan that was muffled by your pillow. You know you parents wouldn't like you being up so late, so you tried to stay as quiet as possible when talking to your companion. For some reason, they were always up so late, messaging you all throughout the night.
Your fingers glide across the screen as you answer, "I'm up because you woke me up." Your response displayed a clear sign of frustration. You through your phone down onto your bed and closed your eyes until the next response. You swear, that ping will haunt you forever.
"Have you been keeping up with Kira?" They ask. This wasn't the first time they've asked you questions regarding Kira. In fact, they ask you at least once a week if you've been keeping up with everything. It's almost comical at this point.
You role your eyes while typing, "Of course, Justice, why wouldn't I? Thats basically all we talk about."
His response comes quick, "I'm just making sure. You never know what's out there."
"Why would Kira want to kill me?"
"You never know." Their response was cryptic, ending the conversation as you drift off back to sleep.
——
(Y/N)? Wake up, sleepyhead." Your sister, Sayu, cheerfully yells. Your eyes snap open and you straighten up. Your eyes dart around your kitchen, you brother Light looking at you strangely.
"(Y/N), are you getting enough sleep?" Light asks, which gets a nod out of you. He looks unconvinced as he continues eating his breakfast.
"Well, you better get ready for school, we're leaving soon." He mentions as he stands up from his seat and grabs his bag from the back of his chair. You nod once again, thanking your mom for the breakfast. Before you can even sit up, your mother is bombarding you with questions, a worried expression written all over her face.
"Oh sweetheart, you look sick." She sighs. "Are you sure you want to go to school today?" She's feeling your face for any sign of sickness, which causes you to groan and push her away slightly.
"I'm fine mom." You grab your bag and stand next to Light. "See you after school."
The worried expression still doesn't leave her face as you and Light walk out the door. "Okay sweety. Light, take care of them, okay?" She shouts. Light nods absentmindedly.
"Of course, mom."
——
"So, why were you up so late?" Light asks randomly. You look at him confused, which only gets a smile from him.
"You're my sibling, it's my job to know what you're doing." His voice is too sweet. "And plus, I noticed the light coming from your room when I was heading to bed last night." He adds on.
"I was just talking to a friend." You answer quietly. Your response was short, not wanting to tell him the truth, since you knew he wouldn't really like you talking to some random stranger on the internet. You were also too distracted by the feeling of someone watching you to really pay attention to your brother.
You do hear him laugh however, which puts a pit in your stomach. You look over at him to see a hint of a cruel look on his face. "You don't have friends (Y/N)." He mocks, grinning at the embarrassment that washes over your face.
"You don't have friends either." You argue, your voice childish and whiny. A cool breeze comes up behind you, causing you to look back, and causing Lights face to become slightly annoyed. Before you can ask him about it though, he's quickly back to normal.
"At least I have a girlfriend." He speaks.
You huff, "A girlfriend who's supper annoying." Light doesn't seem to care that you just called Misa annoying, but he doesn't talk for the rest of the walk to school, something you very much appreciate.
——
"Ping."
There's your phone again. You're sitting outside eating lunch when you get another message from Justice.
"Hello."
You finish crewing your rice before answering. "Hey. What's up?" They usually never text you this early.
They don't respond for a while, you nearly forgetting that they were messaging you as you watched the people around you converse and eat, a blank expression on your face.
"What do you do for fun?" That was a weird question. You two had an unspoken agreement of not asking each other personal questions, so this question really threw you off guard.
You spent a while coming up with an answer, pondering what they could mean by it. Why do they suddenly want to know now?
"I don't really know. I usually just spend my time at home and school." You didn't mean to sound so sad, but it definitely came off that way.
"So, you don't have any friends?" Well, that's straight to the point. You frown and blow a piece of strayhair out of your face.
"Other than you, no." You answer quickly. You couldn't help the intense sadness that washed over you at your answer. You're in your second year of high school and your only friend is a random person on the internet.
You've never been good at making friends, mostly because your bother doesn't approve of anyone who you show a slight interest in. You wonder if you ever met Justice in person, would they actually like you? Would Light like them? You can't think for too long before you hear yet another ping from your phone. You look down at it to see that Justice has responded.
"That's good."
——
You spent your time after school studying at the local cafe.
You didn't exactly care too much about your grades. Light was the high achiever in your household, so you and your younger sister didn't have to worry too much about grades. Light however, didn't like you slacking off. So, he made you a studying schedule in order for you to achieve academic excellence. Usually, he would be here with you, but lately he's been too busy with something he claimed was "none of your business."
You didn't mind though, since the cafe was pretty dead today. The only people here were you, the workers, and someone sitting in the far corner of the room. You couldn't get a good look at him because of the way he was sitting, but he was weird enough to cause you to sit far away from him.
Your studies, unsurprisingly, was uneventful. You spend most of your time focusing on math, since that's what you struggled with the most. Throughout you could hear your phone buzz, since you put it on silent while studying. You assumed it was Light reminding you to come home on time since you usually lost track of time when you were by yourself.
"Buzz, buzz." You give a silent groan, rolling your eyes in the process. You push your phone away, hoping too silent it a little.
"Buzz, buzz." It didn't stop. Frustrated, you snatch your phone from the table, staring intensely at the contact who's been messaging you.
It's Justice.
Your expression changes, frustration melting into confusion. You had 5 messages from them.
"Hello."
"(Y/N)."
"Please respond."
"I would like to talk."
"(Y/N). Respond."
You shake your head, shocked. Your fingers glided over the screen as you hurriedly typed a response.
"Sorry, Justice. I was studying."
"Please notify me beforehand next time."
'Why does it matter?' You thought. They've never been this overbearing before. Like they were reading your mind, you received another message instantly.
"I'm sorry for my behavior. I was worried." You couldn't help but feel warm, nobody other than your mother really worries for you.
"Why though?" You prod.
They took a while to answer and while you were waiting, you heard the strange man order another cake. You swear it's their tenth.
A few seconds after the strange man's cake comes, you get a notification.
"There's been a rise in deaths regarding the Kira case. I wouldn't want you to be one of them."
"Awww, you worry about me?" You jokingly ask. It wasn't even a second before they relied.
"Of course. You're my only friend after all."
——
You didn't exactly hate Misa; you just couldn't keep up with her.
Since you were closer in age with her, she tended to hang out with you often, claiming she wanted to learn more about Light's favorite sibling. You don't know what Light's been telling her, but your definitely not his favorite.
Once a week, you would meet up Misa at the cafe, the same cafe you study at. You confided in Justice that you really didn't want to hang out with your brother's girlfriend, being careful not to break your rule of mentioning anything too personal, like her name. They didn't give any great advice, just telling you to not go, which obviously wasn't an option.
"Soooooo...." Misa's drawled with a sing song tone. "You've been looking at your phone all day. You got a sweetheart."
You quickly look up from your phone, shutting it off the process. You shake your head, becoming shy by her giggles.
"Don't be shy, I won't tell light." She teases, playing with the cake on her plate. She smiles at you sweetly. "Come on, you can tell me."
You look away, embarrassed. "They're just a friend." Misa squealed at your answer, so excited she stretched over the table and grasped your hands.
"They're just a friend right now!" She pointed out, ignoring your discomfort. "How did you meet? Do you go to the same school? When can I meet them? Oh! Maybe we can go on a double date like in those romantic movies."
"Misa calm down, I promise you they're just a friend." Her mood shifted for excitement to disappointment in a flash. Pouting, she slumps back in her seat.
"Fine, but if it becomes anything more you promise to tell me?"
"I promise."
——
"Tell me more about your family, Yagami-kun."
"Why do you ask?" L doesn't move his eyes from the screens in front of him. But he can feel Yagami's gaze on him. It's hard and accusing, and he knows exactly why. He's protective of his children, that much is clear.
He hears Yagami sigh quietly and feels his gaze move back to the screen, focusing on the one displaying his family. L moves thumb to his mouth, toying with his lip.
"I don't know what exactly to say." He starts. "They somehow manage to keep up with my schedule, that means something right." He gives a small laugh.
L doesn't laugh though. He's too busy glaring camera, specifically the one displaying the Yagami household. Everyone was there. Everyone of course, except you.
Soichiro Yagami shakes his head while rubbing his forehead in contempt. "They're out with friends, it's always once a week."
The hand which isn't currently near his mouth grips his knee. He continues to glare at the camera, only shifting to look at the people moving around the house.
"Where." He shoves a piece of chocolate in his mouth.
Yagami thinks for a while before answering. "I believe the cafe near our neighborhood."
That makes sense, you're usually there. But with who? L stays silent for a while, pondering this mystery "friend."
He doesn't like that word when applied to someone that isn't him. It makes him sick. He grimaces, shoving a piece of candy in his mouth in the hope it calms him down.
It doesn't.
L didn't have any strong feeling regarding you at first, just a way to get to your brother. He saw how lonely you were, and used it, hoping to get some information out of you.
But you were smart. Not like your brother, but definitely more that he expected. You never shared with him any strong opinions regarding anything, remaining neutral on every topic of discussion. It became frustrating after a while.
But it also became fun.
He didn't know when it started, but slowly he started talking to you longer and longer. Observing you longer and longer. And he noticed how...protective Light was of you. Light was like him, he cared for people in weird ways. While Light chose to take a stricter approach, L chose to go the opposite route, gaining your trust by exploiting your loneliness and promising that he'll always be there for you. And while at the beginning it was nothing more than a lie, it slowly became the truth.
He craved your attention, he wanted to be the only thing you cared about. He couldn't stand you talking to anyone, Light included. Which is why he was so pissed about you being around someone else.
"Ryuzaki, your phone is ringing" Yagami notified. L slowly retrieved his phone, gripping it between his pointer finger and thumb, a small smile grazed his face when he saw the recipient.
"What is it?" Yagami questioned as L pocketed the phone.
"My friend."

Yandere L Lawliet Headcanons (General)
"I'm always two steps ahead of you, if not more, my sweetie." — L Lawliet.
❝ 📓 — lady l: watching Death Note again and commenting with a friend, I ended up thinking about it and decided to do some L headcanons, because I love him! 🖤 Hope you like it :) 🤍
❝tw: obsessive and possessive behavior, stalking, unhealthy relationships, mention of kidnapping.
❝📓pairing: yandere!l lawliet x gender neutral!reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
L Lawliet is very scary because he is very smart. A detective, the best detective. He is very good at reading people, at his deductions. There is no running away from him, he will always find you.
He was already stalking you before you even knew it. Before you even knew about his existence, L was already after you. Always behind you, watching you and gathering as much information about you as possible.
L knew about everything you. What was your childhood like, your fears, your desires, your dreams, everything. There is no privacy at all with him, he wants to be able to read you like a book and he does. There's nothing he can't figure out eventually.
He began to appear in your life slowly and normally, for you at least. He just seemed like an ordinary guy who needed some sleep and straightened out his back, but that was it. You had no idea who he really was, how obsessed he was with you.
L has morals that can be easily corrupted when he becomes obsessed. He believes that he is justice and he does in his way, which is not always the right way to do it. He firmly believes in justice above all else, his justice.
He doesn't believe that what he feels, that the things he did for you are considered wrong. L is delusional enough to believe he is right, but he will never do anything against your will. He respects you enough for that.
L is a natural stalker, it's one of his hobbies as a detective. Although he doesn't persecute you in the literal sense of the word, he usually sends Watari to watch you and accompany you somewhere. Whether it's going to school or work, he'll have his butler protecting you.
He won't risk your safety, especially with Kira on the loose. You're not a criminal, but L won't take any risks. He's never made a mistake before and it won't be you he makes a mistake with. Not when one mistake could cause your death.
Always very careful, L would only reveal himself to you when he was sure he would have your trust. He is very, very manipulative and will make you trust no one else but him. Not even your family could be as trustworthy as L. He would definitely lock you up at home if he could.
L has cameras in your house, all aimed at crucial points in your house. In your bedroom, in your living room, in your kitchen, everywhere there is a camera watching you. It had become a habit for him to spend hours a day looking at the images, waiting for you.
He's not the possessive type, but L has his limits and won't tolerate someone approaching you with ulterior motives. He is very quick to think, to deduce that there is someone interested in you and he will quickly push them away from you. He usually uses his manipulation for this. L is not in the habit of killing and will never do so unless it is really necessary.
Once his obsession consumed him for good, L could no longer remain but shadows. He could no longer remain in the background, watching you take risks every day, he needed to do something. And he did, during one night, you woke up in an unfamiliar room and with a pale guy, sitting in a strange way, staring at you intensely. You were finally with him.
You may think you're smarter than him, that you can get away from L, but he'll always be two steps ahead of you. You have nowhere to run. L would finally have you and he wouldn't let you go.

Russian Roulette.
Yan L x GN Reader.
Synopsis: You decide to test your luck while it still lasts, as small as it is.
Warnings: Yandere themes, past stalking, kidnapping, and manipulation.
Word Count: 1.1k.
*~*~*~*
“Hmm… why do you want me to do that, exactly?” The response is much longer than a simple okay or sure or no, but the question was what you expected to be in the realm of absolute possibility. You have given L too little credit in the past, when you first woke up here, thinking that he can shut himself up and go back to whatever he usually does, like eating cake or watching the same footage of you in your home for the tenth time that week.
You can work with this.
“It’s not like you have given me much else to do.” You say, not biting your tongue this time around, the bitterness in your voice coinciding with the box of sour fruit gummies on the other side of the table, with the artificial sweetness in L’s tone. “Plus if you want to treat me as well as you say you want to, you would oblige the simple request of playing a game with your favorite captive.”
His eyebrow raises at the last word that slipped out of your mouth, not out of guilt or shame or fear that your reality has punched him straight in the face, but out of just… curiosity.
“What if I don’t?” He smirks, looking up at you. “You did just rudely rush in here stomping and making demands… not exactly the behavior I would think of when I hear the word captive.”
“I’m going insane.” You say, glaring down at him, your fists curled so deeply into your pajama pants that you swore that they would break.
He chuckles, and it feels like the messy hair covering your angry face has just gotten even more disheveled.
“I jest, I jest… fine… I’ll play with my favorite captive.”
It feels like this weight has just been lifted off of your head, but the one in your heart remains.
“No need to be so… tangled up.” He says the pun naturally, popping in a few more pieces of the neon candy.
You start grumbling curses under your breath as if he did reject your proposal. He didn’t though. He didn’t, so you’ll play by his much longer game for a bit more before you struggle yet again.
“Not funny.”
There are only six pieces of candy left in the yellow box, each one a different color.
“What are you waiting for?” He asks, slouching forward instead of backward this time around and crossing his legs. “Go get your… game.”
You scoff and race off to L’s bedroom, putting your knees next to the mattress that is on the opposite side of L’s bed. Under your pillow are the six red plastic cups you stole from the cupboard last night, along with a chocolate egg still in its packaging, something you got from L after threatening to jump on your mattress until the few trinkets he got for you would fall on the floor and break. You won for once, in the end, but that condescending look he had while giving it to you makes you want to kick him in the groin again.
It is the same look he has when you return to him, tail tucked between your legs as you set up the cups and the chocolate egg on the table. The box of candy is empty now. How in the hell does he not get so many cavities?
“Alright then, explain the rules.” He raises his arms to the ceiling and yawns loudly, obnoxiously.
You sit down on the opposite side of the table. Your posture is much more restrained than his, he notes. Your hands are on your lap and your back is straight. You still don’t know how to relax. A symptom of being raised in high society.
“It’s a game I used to play with the younger servants when I was little.” You explain. Thinking of the past brings back unwanted feelings, but thinking of the present does the same. You have never experienced true freedom, but at least here you can speak your mind and your emotions. God, maybe you are going insane, being… thankful to him, your captor. “Someone guesses which cup has the object underneath. If they win, they get to ask a question to the person who scrambled the cups. If they lose, the person who scrambled the cups gets to ask the question.”
The image of a smaller you playing with porcelain cups and a ring, perhaps your mother’s, as the servants look confused makes L laugh softly. How cute.
“I’ll go first.” You insist, putting the chocolate egg under one of the cups and swiftly moving them around. “Okay. Go on. Don’t take your time.”
“Alright.”
L’s pointed finger moves slowly to the cup in the middle.
“If I remember correctly, it is this one, isn’t it?” He asks. “Right?”
That smile of yours makes choosing the wrong cup on purpose makes it worth it in L’s eyes.
“Nope.” You lift the one farthest to L’s left and your right. The chocolate egg is there, untouched.
He doesn’t pretend to be surprised, instead still smiling. You do the same, albeit unknowingly.
“Alright, my turn now.” You didn’t even get to ask him a question, but you are too deep in your pride to care about it right now. You won against L for once. You’re proud. It’s cute.
One by one, you slide the cups and the chocolate egg over. You’re confident, it would appear.
How cute.
He puts one cup over the chocolate egg and moves all of them around, much faster than you did your turn. Your eyebrows furrow as you try to concentrate.
He stops moving them, and it feels like the weight on your heart becomes even heavier.
Your pointer finger shakes as you move it to the cup in the center, silent.
L shakes his head.
“Nope.” He says, the word mocking yours.
His right elbow rests on the corner of the table, his palm cradling his chin as he looks on, to the shakingness of your breath, to the way your folded hands tremble.
The air feels thick, and you don’t even know why. Or do you?
“You already know what I am going to ask you, aren’t you?” The question is longer than anticipated.
“N-No.” You stutter.
“Oh?” The sound feels like a stab to the heart or a punch in the face. “That’s fine, I guess.”
He leans in. Closer and closer. You back away, but not enough to not smell how sugary his breath is.
“There is a knife missing from the knife drawer. Where is it?”
You didn’t win against L, you say to yourself. He won.
“...Underneath my pillow.”

🎣 ☾⋆。𖦹 °✩ 𝕪𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕠𝕣𝕔𝕒!𝕞𝕖𝕣 𝕝𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕪𝕒𝕘𝕒𝕞𝕚 𝕩 𝕕𝕠𝕝𝕡𝕙𝕚𝕟!𝕞𝕖𝕣 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕖𝕣
your pod often intersected with his.
even though you both came from two different species of dolphins, light yagami being an orca and you being a pacific white-sided dolphin, the emotional intelligence that both of you possessed as dolphins had both of your pods living in relative harmony, even going so far as to help and share food when dinner wasn’t always seals. or shark liver.
as of right now however, you were relaxing before you were due in to hunt with your pod. the orcas didn’t seem to be in your vicinity, so it would just be you and the other pod members.
after swimming a bit on your own, you used echolocation to determine the location of your pod and started your trek back to them, when you suddenly registered another mer coming your way.
when you swished around, you couldn’t help but preen in approval. there was no mistaking it. his dominance. his attractiveness. his cunning and wit. light yagami was in your presence again, and you could see a polite smile forming on his face to cover up his malicious intent.
“ah, light!” you chirped cheerfully. he chittered contentedly at your greeting and, as you gleaned from one of your many interactions from him as he continued a quick approach, he wanted to play chase.
so, you obliged to the unspoken request and turned around and swam in the direction of your pod, going up and down and doing little neat spins as you went to tease him and flaunt your underwater grace, unaware of his growing desire and impatience at the… other kind of teasing you didn’t seem to know you were subjecting him to.
of course, he was enough of a gentleman to let you keep the lead for a couple moments, but then reached your speed with a bit more force and caught up with you in swift, powerful strokes of his tail, grabbing you from behind and pulling you close.
you chittered a laugh, all the while his hold on you gradually tightened. he snuck in a few nibbles on your ear and brushes of his teeth on your neck he (reluctantly) let go, feeling your warmth dissipate with the increase in distance between you, watching you swim up a bit further up before turning your head back and motioning for him to join you for a visit with your pod.
his little smile widened, though you had already focused your attention up ahead before you could see the darkened look in his eyes. you’d already accepted him enough to invite him personally into your pod, with him in the process of befriending and knowing the ins and outs of everything there.
more information to use against their case if you ever wanted to set your eyes on another, though, with the way you had given in to his advancements gradually, it was likely impossible you would ever want to get with anyone but him.
your pod welcomed you upon your arrival, also giving out greetings to light as well. you ignored the swooning of the other girls and the not-so subtle chittering relaying light’s presence across the entire area, though he didn’t seem to pay them any mind.
he easily swam up beside you and wrapped his arms loosely around your waist for a moment before relinquishing his hold on you when you protested halfheartedly. you had no qualms falling prey to his antics in private, but you and him had a front to maintain in the presence of your respective species.
still, you didn’t mind all that much. if anything, you felt more at ease with him and his strong, stable aura ensuring your and his survival and comfort. he could have anything and anyone he wanted, seeing as he was also popular back at his own pod.
which was why it didn’t make sense that he seemed to give chase after you. you were ordinary and like any one of your other pod members, with your physical and mental capabilities similar to everyone else around you. the only thing you had to yourself were your thoughts, opinions and a worldview unique and privately kept because they weren’t important. not in the face of a problem such as survival.
though, you didn’t quite know how much you gave those thoughts away to him.
even though it was uncommon for mers to mate with other species outside of their own, it wasn’t unheard of. it was just that everyone preferred to keep their gene pool to their pod, and that was that.
it seemed as though running into this pod a few years ago would sort of blur those lines, though, as light’s introduction would have other mers flocking to him like clownfish to sea anemone. you soon fell victim to his good looks and devilish charm, now exasperatedly dealing with the other side of him that he didn’t show much to anyone else.
the playful chases. the teeth on skin. the proximity. you’d never initiate any of these things unless you could tell that he wanted to be entertained, as his species of dolphin was still the apex predator of the ocean. but he seemed unfazed by the difference in, well, everything.
he didn’t seem to mind taking things one step further, even going going far once as to mark your neck, leaving a small trail of blood dissolving into the ocean while he apologized, though there was a note in his voice that didn’t seem too sorry about it, just more startled about his lack of self control. lustful at the idea of him claiming you, with your submissiveness urging him onwards.
you forgave him because it didn’t hurt much and you were very good friends, but you were questioning your relationship with him because of how… friendly he became when you were around.
you caught on to the way he’d dismiss everyone around you, not hesitating to call someone out as fraudulent and addressing other potential candidates for your attention with disdain as he took you in his arms or dragged you by the wrist in a direction where no other mers were present.
you’d never noticed that everything he did, the chasing, the biting, that delectable, comforting warmth was courtship on his part, and he couldn’t help but become frustrated at the prospect of you being taken by anyone else.
to light, you almost seemed to not want anything to do with him anymore, as you always ushered yourself back to the other, smaller, weaker dolphin mers in your pod instead of hanging out with him for longer. he could provide everything for you, and all you’d have to do was stay by his side.
but at the end of every day, you relinquished that position in his arms to rejoin the people you called your home. when were you going to obsess over love him as he did to you?
every second you were away from him, the more anxious he became. he was afraid that his honeyed words and exceptional appearance was being brushed off, and by someone that was inferior to him, no less.
so, in order to combat anyone who dared oppose his judgment, light had gradually came and spent time with your pod, getting to know everyone and gleaning all information about you he could get.
your favorite foods? he’d snatch it up in a heartbeat and hand it to you on the weird, silver disks that humans so loved to bring with them onto ships. he’d seen his fair share of shipwrecks, and stored a couple relics away from prying eyes in places he knew his pod, and yours, would cross so he’d never lose them in case he needed to impress you with different curiosities.
he’d also go along with any sort of play you’d want, though he suspected that you were only playing chase because he desired it so. so, if you accepted his games and lost to him in the end, with you in his arms and teeth grazing, tongue tasting you, why wouldn’t you finally give in to his embrace?
why did you still tease him with your lighthearted laugh and getting togethers with your members of your pod?
what was he doing wrong!?
still, he would play the waiting game if he had to. he was a very patient mer, and he’d do anything to get what he wanted.
if his lies charm wouldn’t work on you, then he’d have to work his way into the hearts of everyone in your pod, and then neutralizing any threats in his way to becoming your mate. if his pod was unaccepting of his ways, then he’d either fight tooth and nail to keep you with him, abandon them and take you with him into a life of solidarity, or maybe keep your relationship with him secret.
though, he wasn’t a fan of that last idea, since he adored the idea of you relying so heavily on him and his words, his strength and his wit. anything to make you stay.
light knew that your pod was going on a hunt after casually conversing with some of the other members of the pod, with you beside him to display your significance with him, and was intent on showing off his superiority in species to you.
if he wasn’t fit for you, no one else was.
nobody else could have you, and he’d make sure of that, one way or another.
even if he’d have to kill for you.

boyfriend.
❝ i could be a better boyfriend than him, i could do the shit that he never did. ❞
yandere! light yagami x fem! reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He sat in his usual spot at his desk, the room would have been pitch black had the lamp not illuminated his surroundings. The notebook was placed neatly in front of his as he stared down at it, his hand just itching to grab the pen and scribble the bastard's name down and give him the gruesome death he saw fit. Light Yagami never imagined that he could ever succumb to the ridiculous feeling known as jealousy but the universe was testing him, clearly.
Light was smitten with you, shamelessly so, and he wanted you so bad that it was unreal. You were another reason why he was doing what he was doing, why he was purging the world of its filth, taking out the trash if you will. You were so sweet to him, it was hard for him to keep his head clear sometimes because of you. He would often laugh at himself for being so weak for you, but he really couldn't help himself, you were just that special.
Which is why he can't comprehend the fact that you decided to date that loser boyfriend of yours.
He was angry, downright infuriated with how that moron just decided to sweep you off your feet and ruin Light's plans. You were supposed to be his by now, you were supposed to me hopelessly in love with him that it would drive you insane. Light would be good to you, he knew that he would.
But he saw this situation as a challenge of sorts.
With a heavy heart but a determined mind, Light decided that he would indeed play this game that was set up. He wasn't going to go for the easy way out, not yet. He wanted to prove to himself, to you, that he was the ideal option, that he was your prince charming, that no one would ever come close to him and his affections for you. He was already down bad, so there really was no going back for him anyway.
It was time for the games to commence, yeah?

Necessary Compliance (Yandere! L x Reader)
Warnings: Yandere behavior.
Anonymous Request: yandere L fic where the reader has ‘accepted’ that that probably wont be let out, but that doesnt mean they are gonna make life with him easy. They wont eat, drink, talk etc. Anything he does try will be met with resistance every step of the way

"It's not poisoned."
You simply stared down into your bowl of soup, the contents of which was foreign to you and more than likely the product of whatever city you were taken to. Ten minutes ago, it was hot enough that the steam was gently wafting up to your face to coat it with condensation. Despite the disgust that bubbled in your stomach, desperately seeking to be let out, you held your tongue and remained focused on keeping calm.
At this point, this was the only course of action you could take.
For the past four weeks, three days, seven hours, and ten minutes, you had been surprisingly... cooperative for a person who had been held against their will. L supposed that it was psychology at work. After all, he had been nothing if not kind and accommodating to your needs. Every day, you were provided with nutritious meals, ample space for exercise, and access to a high quality shower and hygienic products. If anything else, you were cordial.
But that simply wasn’t enough.
If L had been trying to coerce you into admitting a crime through humane means such as this—as opposed to some of his more unsavory methods—he would have let you go already. However, that simply wasn’t the case. Rather, you were an innocent civilian who had been practically plucked off the street, your only connection to L only a byproduct of circumstance and coincidence. Had you been in the mood for banter, you would have brought up that topic once more, but you were tired.
And you no longer cared.
As your captivity stretched from days to weeks, which eventually morphed into months, you realized that there was no escape. Why even try? L had a vast array of resources at his very disposal. Wherever he went, there was sure to be a retinue of guards hiding somewhere within the premises, their gazes trained on you should you ever escape your captor’s grasp.
And even if L wasn’t as powerful as your mind made him seem, he was still vastly intelligent and if need be, could quickly and physically overpower you.
On all fronts, physical and mental, you were forced against the wall with nowhere to turn.
So.
This.
You would comply.
You would be quiet.
But that didn’t mean that you would bow down to his whims.
As you continued to give your bowl of soup a glare that would have reheated it back to its steaming glory, L finally conceded to obey his baser desires. Normally, the famed detective would have left you to your own devices, often asking his closest advisor, a man that he called Watari despite his very British accent, to feed you instead. However, it had been at least two weeks since you’ve last spoken and even longer since you’ve raised a hand against him. Some might call what you were doing progress—a tamed beast.
However, you were a far cry from who you were before.
And L wanted you back.
You heard him get up from his seat, his feet padding towards you before a cold, spindly hand grasped your chin. Disciplined and spiteful, you kept your mouth closed to keep your gasp from reaching his ears. If there was one thing you knew about L, it was that once you had given him the satisfaction, you might as well have let him win this battle of wills.
It had been a while since you had let down your guard, but you couldn't let up now. Hunger, which gnawed and clawed at the insides of your stomach and made your hands tremble with the aching need of want, you could ignore. Thirst, the heavenly fire that coated the insides of your throat with raw sand, you could mildly alleviate with the taste and heat from your saliva.
You were above human desires.
You could beat L at his own game.
In this way, you were better than L—top detective and most brilliant man most people would have killed to have met at least once in their life.
"The last time you refused to eat, you lasted three days before you gave up." He jerked your head up so that you had no choice but to look him in the eyes.
The first time you met him, you had faced him the same way. That is to say, you kept your eyes trained downwards, your gaze never quite meeting his. You wouldn't say that you were shy, but you definitely were not confident in how you appeared before him.
But when you met gazes for the first time, you knew what L exactly was.
L was not human.
He was a parasite who wore the skin of a human as if it were a pair of ill fitting pants. He fed off your every emotion, the fights that you would instigate by not feeding into his delusional fantasies that one day you would cede your very soul and spirit to him. He knew better, of course he did, but that didn't stop him from staring at you as if you were a science project.
What could he do to manipulate you? To make you finally be his?
If physical violence didn't work, then what about promises of riches? Of delights that could only be experienced by those with power and influence like himself?
And if enticing you with human temptations such as that wouldn't be the thing to make you heel to him, then what about sweet honeyed words that dripped with a poison that would slowly but surely rot your brains and make you that much more malleable to his whims.
The day would come, you knew this, but until then, you tried to remain steadfast.
L's nails, freshly cut, dug deep into your skin.
"Shall I call Watari? We can have you fed intravenously if need be."
That threat had been hanging over your head ever since you began your quiet rebellion. Although you had managed to cave into your hunger before you were forced to give up your autonomy, you managed to glimpse L's faithful servant hauling in equipment that made your blood go cold. You knew that L was not against going against the law to achieve what he wanted most.
It was the results that mattered in the end, not how he got there.
At this point, you shouldn't be surprised, but...
It frightened you.
You were taken away from everything you had known, stripped of your most basic rights, and now, you were going to be force fed as if you were lower than an animal.
L crouched in front of you. Although appearing as if he were shorter than you, the control he had over the situation never wavered.
From the very beginning, you had no chance.
"Well?" His voice was monotone, but you could hear the mild mocking lilt underlying his voice. "What would you rather do?"
You could only comply, the idea of debasing yourself was too much.
You ate and every bite that slid down your throat was tasteless and ashy.

Platonic yandere L as an older brother?
I've noticed a trend towards platonic family yanderes... I'm an only child so my depiction of siblings might not be accurate (which in this case might even be good cause yandere would not be healthy but still) but if you guys still like it then be my guest~
Platonic yandere L as an older brother
Tumblr media
The two both of you were incredibly young when Watari found the both of you, dirty and disheveled and clearly not taken care of by an adult, with L protectively holding your hand in his, mustering the man who was doing the same to the two of you. It didn’t take much consideration for the founder of the orphanage to take the both of you in, understanding of your wariness but strict with getting you guys clean and proper. Before long your older brother’s genius was discovered which he undeniably still used for what he had always done, protect you.
While the two of you studied, apparently you were considerably smart, too, it was obvious that you would later on work together. Not only did the two of you know what the other was thinking without any words needed, you also complemented each other. While your older brother was more intimitating, you seemed almost harmless to approach, causing other people to let their guard down around you, a big mistake.
Otherwise the two of you enjoyed playing together, L always readily entertaining you, whether you wanted to play legos, have him tell you a story or play hide and seek, nothing was off the table as you basically spent your days just the two of you, others rarely joining. Another thing you enjoyed was baking, less because of the activity itself and more because of the reactions your older brother gave you. He seemed flustered and surprised the first few times before happily digging into the treats, wordlessly grabbing some of them and giving them to you, telling you to eat them despite you literally being the one who made them. You accepted with a smile nonetheless.
Should he ever notice you having an interest in anything, he’ll ask Watari to bring you related stuff almost immediately. You remember the one time you had read about dinosaurs, excitedly telling L about them only to later come back to your room filled with all kinds of stuffed animals, figurines, books and the like. You still had most of them, actually. L had them transported to a safe house even though you had tried to argue against it, not that that had made much of a difference. He had only sadly asked you if you did not wish to keep his gifts, crushing your arguments with one sorrowful look that you could no longer disagree with.
The first case you got together was finished surprisingly quickly. Either the official authorities overlooked some clues before handing the case over or the two of you made the perfect pair of detectives. L and you decided that it was both. Over the years you decided which crimes to solve and did so effortlessly, quickly growing a favorable reputation. Though those people did not know that behind the facade of L, two people stood, despite your brother being the one you called the same initial.
Wherever you guys went, you were somehow always the most guarded, the most protected, your older brother never shying away from hiring the best of the best to guarantee your safety. That is to say, the one he trusted the most to safeguard you was himself. He only allowed you to go out to areas that he considered safe and only with multiple bodyguards, though he relented that these should hide themselves appropriately so you could at least pretend to be normal. While he never said that you were not allowed to leave without him, no matter how much you pressed him on the matter, he always only agreed to your outings when he had time and therefore went with you. At the end of the day you did not mind though, finding your time spend together quite enjoyable.
That is to say, when he was not pranking you. He seemed to have a bit of a sadistic humor that he would never admit to, switching your shampoo with coloring right when you prepared to go out, tying your shoelaces together when you were about to leave in a rush and so on. You did notice the pattern of such incidents only happening when you wanted to leave and had spoken to him many times about the matter, but your older brother just played dumb, Watari even playing along. All of your attempts to evade his little surprises have yet to succeed.
When the two of you got another case, you did not think anything of it yet. It did strike you as interesting and strange, but it wasn’t the first in the category, even when you had to wear a medical mask around everyone else on order of L. You did understand that he was worried, but he did not seem to agree that if you had to wear the covering, so should he. Just as he wanted to protect you, you wanted to do the same for him, but he only explained that it was the best way to catch Kira. There was no reason to be overly bothered, after all, the best team had taken on this case. Your mask was only something to let his mind rest, he had explained.

Heya ! I saw you open you asks for Death note! May request headcanons with L and a reader that possess magic ? (You see wandamaximoff's magic in the MCU ? I was thinking about that kind of magic -i'm fangirling so hard for her ngl😗)
___
EYY MY FIRST DEATH NOTE REQUEST!!😍😍🥰💖 im not educated on MCU so I just did a quick google search for wanda maximoff's powers so bear with me
( I'm gonna assume this is yandere )
Wanda's abilities include telekinesis, energy manipulation, and some form of neuroelectric interfacing that allows her to both read thoughts and also give her targets waking nightmares.
Tumblr media
L--
Now, it all depends on whether reader is evil or good in this.
But L would love them either way.
Though, he would more so prefer it with you being.. 'good' and an angel.
Really, no matter how bad you portray yourself to be, L would be like, "Ye, they are as sweet as the strawberry shortcake I am eating."
And boy is he fast at discerning your powers.
Like, he would fucking easily find out all the aspects of your powers.
The thing that concerns him the most is you hurting yourself with your own power, which you don't seem to have a great control over.
His second most worry is you being able to read minds, I mean, he can't just scooby Doo you off your feet and introduce you to your new home, which is his bedroom with you being able to read minds. You would find his plans out in a second!
It doesn't matter how sweet you are, surely, you would fight back, and who knows, even use your powers against him?
So he is going all out to discover how you got your powers and how to get rid of them.
And well, in a age where such a thing as powers don't exist, I suppose no technology which can even restrain you exists.
So L is somewhat helpless here.
That means, he will have to start off by being your friend. Not just straight up your husband.
Of course, it frustrates him to no end that he, a world-famous detective, can't even win someone's heart.
But being honest, he really cherishes those small moments you both have together.
Like, sharing a cake with each other, watching movies, and sometimes walking around at night and just enjoying the silence.
And your first mistake was trusting him. Yeah, you read his mind at start a lot because you didn't trust him, at all. But now? Damn son, you got yourself in a hassle now.
You don't want to invade someone's privacy like that, especially your friend's!
L gets really worried leaving you alone, because what if someone finds out about your powers and you get executed or they take you away from him?
What if someone finds out about your powers and blackmails you to use your powers for them?
The world isn't a good place for a innocent person like you, L would always say to you.
You just played it off as him being worried.
Slowly, you started trusting him more and opened up about your powers to him.
He was really happy you trusted him so much, and you were too because you finally get to tell this to someone! Assuming L already didn't know that is.
And some way, L was able to find a way to temporarily cancel your powers.
Why? Because he is L.
But anyway, that was more than enough for him to easily kidnap you. Or as he likes to say it, 'taking you to your new home.'
You felt really betrayed. I mean, someone you trusted so much just kidnapped you?
Like bro, if you wanted me to come to your house you could've just asked.
Soon enough, L finds a way to permanently cancel your powers and well, that's the end. For your powers.
L just keeps on proving it more and more how helpless you were before with powers and even after without powers, you are just as helpless.
But he would be such a big cutie and UGHHH. WHY IS HE SO CUTE.
Maybe he even tried to bite you because, how can someone be so sweet and not be cake??
"The world is a bad place. You are only safe with me." ~ L.

L "Lawliet"
rewatched Death Note and just couldn't resist...
TW: strict schooling ig, orphan reader, creepy behavior
gn reader
Tumblr media
You were placed in Wammy’s House at an age you don’t remember. To you and most of the orphans here, it’s been your entire lives. Birthdays aren’t celebrated. The days are cold, the residents even colder. There was a time when you’d consider them brothers and sisters, but that’s also long ago now. No one is close to each other in this house.
It’s a rather stale existence with boring conditions unfit for normal children – the solitude, the competition, the games, always a ploy to make each other feel worthless. And for what… more riddles to solve?
You’d long lost interest in proving yourself among the prodigies. When you were given puzzles, you always played with them differently than the rest. They’d tell you to fill out the sheets, and you ended up making origami swans instead.
Looking around at the others, you knew you would never understand them – all blank faces staring into space. They all make you uneasy. You don’t know if it’s you or them that’s missing something, but you recognize it’s a rather pointless question to be begged.
So you leave your paper flock on the floor and walk away.
You’d started putting the chisel of a black marker to the library books in your spare time – trying to make something else out of the boring pages. Something more palatable than the droning of law and policy you’d already read ten times over.
You had blacked out the word doppelganger when there came a disturbance.
“You had 84% of them right.”
You peeked up from the book, lowering your knees from where you had them tucked close for privacy – sitting on the floor between two bookshelves – a little nook you’d discovered to hide yourself from the rest of the busy readers in the usually crowded library.
It was empty now. Everyone was otherwise busy with the test still.
And yet, a mess of black hair was crouched down in front of you, shadowing his equally dark eyes. He held your swans unfolded in his hands. It was a disturbing sight for some reason – as though he’d dissected their guts.
“You left 16% unanswered. Most people would test their luck and guess.”
L must have been the least creative alias born in the dull walls of Wammy’s House, and yet, he’s supposed to be the brightest of all those living there. He always finishes your tests early and leaves in favor of his own devices. Much like you, you suppose. You don’t think you’ve ever heard him speak before.
Suppose it’s only courtesy you pay him the same effort even when what you really want is to tell him to leave you alone…
You narrowed your eyes a bit, looking at him.
You sensed foul play in a game you had no wish to partake in but moved across the board like a sacrificial pawn anyway. That’s how you play these things, after all – never show your cards.
“There’s nothing to guess.” You sigh – despite knowing he already knows all this. “The blanks are trick questions.”
“So you noticed, too?” His eyes are like inkblots – much like those spills you’ve made in your book when you let the marker rest too long. He dropped your papers between you in favor of gripping his knees, leaning forward. “We’re the only ones.”
You purse your lips at his eagerness. You should have played dumb from the start – should have said you swiped the answer sheet from the headmaster’s office. He’d only spoken all but four sentences, and you were already exhausted. Any conversation with any one of your peers was like an interrogation.
“You started folding paper cranes when I was 94% done. Easy logistics would put you 6% ahead of me. But, unlike me, it didn’t seem you were filling out the answer sheets in any hurry. In fact… you seemed bored. And in that case, I’d put you around 16%, no... 18% ahead of me.”
You allowed the following silence to inform him that his ramblings were boring you. But it didn't seem he took the hint – showing no signs he planned on leaving.
Your eyes grew more jaded.
“Paper swans.” You corrected blandly. “You know my alias is Swan.”
You clapped your book together and sighed again.
“And we both know you were finished long before I started folding them.”
He had a small smile on his face. It looked as if you’d drawn it on with your marker.
“You can state all the percentages in the world to try and confuse me, but your mind games won’t get under my skin for one single simple reason, L…” You got up and brushed off the dust, then walked away while saying, “I’m not interested in playing – not with you or anyone else in this miserable place. So do me a favor and leave me alone.”
L watches you leave and taps his lips with his pointer.
Puzzles and answer sheets have bored him for a while. Maybe he ought to play with you instead…

yandere L that hyperfixates on the MC😍
Plz send me more death note questions~ I also write for no Yandere
Yandere L Lawliet
Tumblr media
L would meet with you during the criminal investigation.
You really get his attention.
The fact that you were suspected of a crime would give him more "opportunities".
Because it's no small crime if he's involved.
Then, however, you have nothing to do with anything.
L would find out very quickly.
But he doesn't drop you off the list of suspects.
Because how else would he find out about you?
Without suspicion people would call it stalking…
But when you are suspected it is called investigation.
And we saw how he did it with Light.
The cameras would be in your room very quickly.
Including recording equipment.
L would often ask you for interrogations.
Because he has "found more evidence".
They are usually found to be wrong right from the start.
L would offer coffee/pastries so that you wouldn't have come for nothing.
And after that you spend time just talking.
This would be a good way to learn more about you.
But everything comes to an end in the end.
Like the investigation.
And L doesn't want to let you go.
So now would be the time for the kidnapping :D
Which would be easy considering how well he would know you.

Excuse me, I know you wrote for L Lawliet a lot but if you have time could you write for a platonic yandere L Lawliet and a child gender neutral reader? It can be a story or headcanons, anything you want.
Thanks!
Aren't you excited (Platonic Yandere L Lawliet x child reader).

The house was surprisingly quiet today.
You knew why, L was here today. Well not here, it was just him on a computer, but his presence still left an impact. All the other kids were gathered around the computer, asking him question after question.
You never really cared. Unlike some of the other children, you no longer hold out hope that you'll eventually become L successor. You don't wish to waste time striving for an unattainable goal, rather focusing on something much more obtainable, being adopted.
The sounds of children talking was distant but audible, but you choose to ignore it in favor of the book in your lab. This is probably your eighth time reading it, but you enjoy it more than the other books in the library. It's a fantasy novel about a girl traveling through time trying to save her family. It was basic, all the twists and turns very simple, but it had a charm a lot of the other books didn't.
"(Y/N), would you like to talk to L?" A softspoken adult comes up to you, eyeing you at your spot on the couch. You shake your head, sparing them a small glance before returning to your book. The man sighs, walking back over to the computer, whispering something into the microphone as the kids disperse in multiple directions. You can hear the computer shut close as the man walks out of the room with it tucked under its arm, his face adorning an unreadable expression.
---
During lunch you sat alone.
You've never been good at making friends, the Wammy's house not exactly being an ideal place to foster friendships. Either way, you've always been a solitary person, opting for the comfort of books rather than people.
But for some reason, today was different.
You sat down at your unofficial official table, tucked away in a corner just so you could push away your lunch and read the chosen book of the day.
But today, you were spooked by the sound of the chair across from you scrapping, the soft sound of someone sitting down filling you with dread. Slowly turning your head up, you come face to face with near, L's most likely successor. He gives you a wide eye stare, like he was trying see into your soul.
Admittedly, Near freaked you out. It wasn't unusual for the children at the Wammy's house to be bad at communicating, but with Near, it was different. It wasn't unusual to catch him staring at you, unabashedly, or for him to ask you strange questions that threw you for a loop. In short, you two weren't really the greatest of friends.
"Did you need something?" You whisper to him, giving him a very confused look. Near shuffled into his seat further, his strange way of sitting causing your brow to furrow. His legs were too his chest, his hands resting on his knees. While it looked uncomfortable, he seemed perfectly fine. Almost too fine.
"Why aren't you eating?" He asked, ignoring your question.
Some of the tenseness in your shoulders leave at the sound of his soft voice, but you were still clearly on edge. "I'm reading." You say, shaking your book a little for emphasis. Near nods, an uncaring air around him. He shuffles a bit more, listening to the children around him speaking, his eyes constantly darting from you to the others around you.
You try your hardest to ignore the kid across from you, but every time you felt his gaze flicker towards you, you wanted to fall over and die. Eventually, it becomes too much to bear and with a small huff, you confront the odd boy.
"What do you want." It sounded rude, but you were fed up with the staring and whispers. Despite you clear annoyance, Near doesn't respond instantly, simply tilting his head with a thumb in his mouth.
"Do you ever think about being adopted" He questions. You fumble for a second before countering back.
"Sometimes." That was an understatement, and he could tell. A small, nearly unnoticeable smile crosses his face, though it returns back to his stoic expression before you could comment on it.
"What do you mean, sometimes?" Now he was just playing with you, and irritation was written all across your face.
You shrug your shoulders, the book that was previously in your hands now closed on the table. "I want the same as everyone else here, a happy family." You raise a brow at him, "how about you?"
"Same probably." It was a quick answer, and the strange look on Near's face made you think he was hiding something from you. Though, the blank expression on your face made it hard to get anything out of him.
"He asked for you, y'know?" Your movement stopped. He was referring to L, you could tell by the look on his face, a faraway but somehow focused expression. You, in contrast, were shocked that L knew you. But he probably knew about everyone in the orphanage, right? You didn't want to dwell on it too long, your stomach already hurt from the lack of food, you didn't need to add on nerves on top of it.
"Okay, what about it?" You knew lunch was about to end soon but you wished it was over right now.
Near slowly shuffled off the chair, his eyes never leaving you as he moves. He whispers something too quiet to hear as the squeaking of chairs and sounds of children fill the room. You turn to grab you book, but before you could ask him any more questions, Near was gone.
---
Today, you got a new book.
It was the sequel to the one you were previously reading. You were shocked to see the book in the library. It rarely got new books, and science fiction was definitely at the bottom of the list.
Though, you weren't complaining. It was a nice change of pace to be able to read something new for one. Plus, it was in pristine condition, barely a mark on it. It was like no one had even touched it before you.
"(Y/N), are you listening?" You snap up, a very upset teacher eyeing you. You nod shyly, closing the book slowly while attempting to ignore the giggling of children. The teacher rolls her eyes, very much used to your behavior at this point. "Really, (Y/N), I don't know how you expect to get anywhere with your heads always up in the clouds."
You don't really process her words, used to them at this point. You weren't like the other children, you weren't naturally gifted, you didn't have the same skills as them. You rather spend your time in your own world, than in one that seemed so against you.
A knock on the door turned your attention away from the teacher, a man entering the room. He was the same one from the other day, the soft-spoken man who seemed very annoyed with your reluctance to talk to L. His eyes darted around the room, landing on yours for a second to long, causing you to look down at your lap in embarrassment. The teacher acknowledged his presence by speeding over to him, exchanging whispers to each other for a few moments.
The classroom was dead silent as the teacher pointed towards you and directed you to the man, motioning you out of the room. So much was communicated without words. You knew it was urgent by the jolts and jerks of her movement, and by how the man placed his hand on your back to get you to move faster though the long winding hallways.
It felt like hours of walking before you were sat down in an empty classroom. It looked like it had been empty for a while, noted by the dust lining the tables and the thick air surrounding you. "Please, sit near the front." He said, pointing to the closest table. You fumble for a few seconds, very confused and nervous, before sitting down, smoothing down your clothes in an attempt to self sooth.
A piece of paper and a pencil is placed down on your desk, "All you need to do is answer the questions." He said, his voice calm as ever, though there was a hit of edge behind every word. "Most of them are opinion based, so don't dwell on the questions to long." He paused, sitting down at the teacher's desk in the front of the classroom. "Please just...answer honestly." His words become quite as he continues, but they fill you this enough dread to take them to heart.
You lean forward, slowly moving your seat as to make as little noise as possible. You flip the paper, nothing on the back, and the front appeared to only have five questions.
Question number one, "what is your favorite food?" You tilt your head, confused, but ultimately relieved that it was simple to answer. You scribble down a few words before moving onto the next one.
Question number two, "where do you want to live when you grow up?" Slightly strange question, usually it's what you want to do when you grow up, but sure, you weren't really complaining. Again, you write a few things until you feel satisfied.
Question number three, "Do you have difficulty making friends?" You almost drop your pencil at the question, but you calm yourself quickly. You don't know how to answer the question really, but you think of Near, and your very few conversations. They were fine, but you were never really friends, at least you don't think so. You wonder if Near thought of you as a friend.
Question number four, "Would you like to be adopted?" What sort of question was that, of course you did. Wasn't that the point of everyone here. You dreamed of having a normal, simple family. Instead, you're stuck here, for what seems like forever. You don't say that though, just writing down something simple.
Question number five, "Describe your ideal father figure." You racked your brain for an example, but nothing really came. Instead, your mind went to the protagonist father in your favorite book. He was a reserved man but had a deep love for his daughter. He did everything in his power to keep her safe, eventually even sacrificing himself to have her live. You admired the selflessness of the man, his devotion to his child, and his desire to keep her safe. If you have a father, you'd want one like that. You write it down quickly.
After finishing all the questions, you stand up and rush over to the table, placing the paper down in front of the man. You stand still as he grabs the paper, placing it in a folder and then in his bag. "Good, good, thank you." He gives you an awkward smile, "You can return to class now."
You nod, shuffling toward the door, your fists tightly clenched as anxiousness filled your body. Before you can leave, you're turning around quickly, facing the man. "What was the test for?" You ask, voice wavering.
The man barely spares you a glance as he collects his things and stands up. "You don't have to worry about it for now." Again, there was that smile, and your stomach churned.
---
Today was quiet.
L wasn't here today, or you guess, he wasn't on the computer today. The common room was filled with children quietly talking, doing homework, playing games. You, like every other day, was sitting on your spot in the couch, reading your book.
Everyone in a while, you look over at the children playing games. It wasn't uncommon to see children playing games together, but the games looked new, some even still covered in plastic wrap. You assumed that they were donated, or that one of the caretakers bought them.
The new board games brought your mind to your new book, pristine and untouched. It was strange, all these new items popping up in the orphanage. Entranced by your thoughts, you rub the edge of your book. It couldn't have been a coincident, you were the only one that read that book, so much that the librarian let you keep it indefinitely.
Maybe she was being nice, saw that you enjoyed the book, and bought you the rest of the series. But even she was surprised by new book, like she wasn't aware of its existence.
"(Y/N)." You look up, it was someone different, and older man this time. "May I have a word with you?" You nod, closing your book and placing it on the couch.
You follow the man into a much more formal room than the classroom you were in yesterday. It was mostly bare, simply a desk with two chairs across it. You take a seat, the old man following suit, grasping his hands together as he places them in the middle of the desk.
The man smiles, noting your clear nerves, "don't worry, you're not in trouble." You nod, letting out an audible exhale. The man chuckles, his smile not leaving, which calms you a little. "I have some news about your potential adoption."
You barely have time to feel any happiness before you're asking questions. "I-I'm sorry. Who are you?" You ask with a tilt of your head. The man doesn't react to your confusion, his expression never changing.
"I am Watari." He said and your eyes wide. You knew about Watari, but most children don't see him these days. He was always concerned with L, and unless you were likely to be his successor, you were not likely to see him.
Watari is perceptive and can tell your discomfort at his precedence. He reclines back in his chair, leaving some space in between you too. He sighs, calm and gentle, it was hard to tell he was an old man, other than his old looks. "I promise there's nothing to worry about." He pauses, watching your breathing calm, "L has...taken an interest in you, to say the least." He mumbles the last part. "He's been keeping an eye on you; he knows your favorite color, your favorite food, your favorite book." He lists things off, one by one, they bring you no comfort.
"You know, a part of me considers L my son. I care about him deeply." His words were serious, a contrast to his previous infliction. "I know he would do the same if given the chance."
You didn't know how to respond. You didn't know what to think. It was hard to think under these circumstances. You don't imagine you have a choice, judged by the way Watari is framing his words. He wasn't offering something; he was telling you what was going to happen.
"I'll help you pack your things, will leave in a few minutes." He guides you out the room, heading towards your bedroom. You shake of your confusion, stumbling slightly towards the common room.
In your seat was Near, his book in his hands, skimming though the pages. When you enter, he looks up, offering one of his strange smiles. "Aren't you excited?" You don't respond as he hands you the book.
Suddenly, all the love you once had for it gone.
---
A/n: Sorry for the lack of L, hope you still enjoyed it.

Hello! Omg I'm so excited you're writing for death note! Can i get a gender neutral reader who maybe helps light or saves his life by pulling him out of the way of a car or something, and he becomes fixated on the and kind of like dedicates his cause as kira towards them?
Of course, love . Sorry for the delay. Death Note has always been one of my favorite shows to write for so I’m a more then thrilled to fulfill your request. Hope you enjoy the story!
Innocence (Yandere! Light Yagami X Reader)
Trigger warnings: I don’t think there are any for this story, but if I missed one, let me know)
Light Yagami needed to follow his normal routine and arrive home. He only had short amount of time where he could write names in the Death Note. Light was cleansing the world, one criminal at a time. In time, he will become the god of the new world.
Although, one thing always troubled him. When he did in fact elimante L, where would Light go from there?
The simple answer was he’d continue killing those making the world rotten and Kira’s reign would prosper.
Wouldn't it be lonely ruling the world by himself? Light never paid that idea much thought. He would never find someone who’d meet his ideals and intellect.
What Light didn’t account for was someone special making their way into his life.
The teenager was in deep thought as he made their way out of the school grounds in the pouring rain.
Without warning, a force hit Light. His umbrella went flying through the air until it cascades onto the drenched sidewalk. He braced himself and closed his eyes as he waited for the fall, but it never came.
Light cautiously opened his eyes to see what stopped him from landing on the ground. The seventeen year old wasshocked to find a good looking high schooler holding tightly onto his arm.
He noticed they were wearing a uniform extremely similar to his own. This mystery person had to have be attending the same school. They were very attractive so Light figured they were probably pretty popular. If that were the case, how come Light couldn’t recognize them. He knew everyone in his classes and he was certainly popular himself. The teen contemplated over the idea that they could be a transfer but Light came to the conclusion that that couldn’t have been the case. He’d be most likely been asked to show them around. The teen would nevee forget a persons face that was constructed like a god/goddess.
Once Light regained his composure, ( Reader) let go of him and leaned down to pick up Light’s discarded umbrella. They handed it out towards him and released an apologetic smile.
Once Light held the umbrella, the other person gave a low bow. They spoke softy, but Light could still hear them over the pitter patter of the rain.
“Please forgive me, Yagami-san. I apologize for hurting you. A car was swerving and looked like it was heading straight towards you.”
(Reader) was terrified to look up from their position. They’d figure Light would simply glare and start to reprimand them. They didn’t have much experience with popular kids.
“Oh, It’s alright, uh…” The teen trailed off, hoping the other would finish his sentence.
“(Reader’s full name).”
“That was very brave of you.” (Reader) looked up at him, puzzled.
“Thank you, but I’m sure anyone would of helped you. I’m no one special.”
“I’m not so certain of that.” Light smiled a bit.
Reader simply nodded in response. The teen expected that to be the end of their discussion with Light Yagami but he did something that shocked them.
Light held out the umbrella so it was protecting both (Reader) and himself from the downpour. This small act of kindness meant the world to (Reader), as they tended to always be ignored by their peers.
The high schooler motion for them to walk together.
How could they possibly refuse Light’s offer without looking rude? If Light Yagami thought (Reader) was rude then they could kiss the days of being a nobody goodbye. They didn’t know much about the teenage boy besides the fact that he was popular and top of the class in terms of intelligence. (Reader) feared they would become the topic of what those kids whisper in the hallway. They’d become the focus of their cold glares.
So they walked with Light.
The two students made causal conversation as they made their way down the street. At first it was awkward but soon they were joking with each other as if they were old friends. Light found out that (Reader) was in almost all of his classes. They explained how they tended ti keep quiet and lurk in the background.
Each word (reader) spoke, resulted in Light coming to the conclusion that made the type of person that Kira was trying to protect.
They were good, hard working, honest and most of all innocent.
He needed to protect them. No, Kira would protect (Reader) and those like them.
He may of just found his partner. Someone to rule the world with him.
“I can’t wait to make you mine, (Reader).” Light muttered to himself.
(Reader) pretended to be oblivious to what her new acquaintance said but in truth, they heard him and they didn’t know what to think.

A/n: oh wow headcannons so cute I wrote this while I was half asleep so… —kinktober day; 23—
warning(s); SMUT, power dynamic, degradation, praise, dry humping, pegging, pet names, and language
secret subs! who probably told you they were doms the first time you even brought up sex in fear that you would think how they actually wanted to be treated was gross and we’re afraid you wouldn’t like them if so
secret subs! who used to make themselves nauseous when previous flings would cry under them begging on their cock while degrading phrases were forced from his lips burning his tongue and ended not enjoying sex for a while
secret subs! who gets hard from you calling them a good boy even if they were doing something harmless like washing the dishes that has them rushing towards the bathroom to take care of the growing tint in their pants
secret subs! who act very poised and carry themselves with confidence that you can break down in seconds by a few words and light feathery touches to… sensitive areas
secret subs! who look up fem doms and are aching soon enough face flushed skin hot until they finally slam the laptop closed a vowel to never watch something like it again for obvious reasons… the obvious reasons being a stubborn boner pressing against their pants bottoms while they squeeze their legs together trying to take the pain off their aching cock
secret subs! who start testing the waters with little things like seeing how far they can get with making you angry before you tip over the edge and put them back in their place where they should stay
secret subs! who let out rushed moans not realizing what they said as you bounce on their cock your cunt swallowing them whole “ngh- oh fuck miss please”
secret subs! who let you fuck your frustrations out on them after a long day or a situation that didn’t go how you wanted it to “name augh- please, please, please, name” long whimpers and whines that are loud and clear while you thrust your hips into his abused hole hitting his prostate over and over with your strapped cock
secret subs! who act out just for your attention even if it’s the wrong attention or very right in their mind “please mam I’m ahh! I’m s-sorry I won’t do it a-a- oh fuck! I won’t do it again” he sobbed his arms tied behind his back bare now red and bruising ass revealed to you to use at you disposal “no, you wanted my attention? you got my attention baby” You hummed before bringing your hand down harshly the air whooshing behind it coming down with a harsh sting that brought tears to their eyes
Secret subs! who live for degrading insults as much as they do your praise “dirty fucking slut couldn’t wait five minutes before your getting off on my shoe” You chuckle staring down at him his clothed cock rubbing against the tip of your boot under your desk as you ended your online meeting

"You really shouldn't have opened that, kid. ~"
The taunting voice of this thing that was hovering in front of you sprung to life. You shriked, absolute terror filling your entire being as you did your best to put some distance between yourself and the floating demon in front of you. How did you not see this thing before?! Shaking like a leaf and with tears threatening to overtake you could do nothing but to stare as the cackling creature that continued to float in front of you, his deep and raspy voice still saying something to you but your brain couldn't process a single thing. Your eyes kept drifting away from the demon to the front door, confusion written all over your face as you prayerd to the heavens above for Light to just show up. What were you expecting him to do you didn't know but something was better than nothing.
As if he heard your prayers the door sprang wide open, with no one other than Light holding the door handle. Just as you were about to tackle him and beg for help, Light jolted upon entering the room, the stone cold realization of the current situation hitting him like a pile of bricks. All warmth on his face was drained once he glanced at you and your sorry state, then at Ryuk who continued to taunt and tease you. Without even managing to utter a word Light shushed you, his tone cold and frustrated, almost annoyed even.
"I thought I told you not to touch anything." he said, pure spite lacing his voice. With your vision blurry and heart pounding in fear you could do nothing but watch Light as he sat down at his desk and made himself comfortable, legs crossed and arms intertwined, as if this were something he was used to. With a sigh, he continued:
"You know..."
Brunette bangs covered his eyes, casting an ominous shadow across his usually handsome face, giving you something of a heads up of what's to come.
"I was really hoping to take things slow with you, to get to know you, to see where this could go but you just had to meddle, didn't you?"
Grunting, he turned his attention back to Ryuk, who was impatiently waiting to see what Light will do next.
"You know what to do."
With a happy grin, the shinigami nodded. In a flash he was right behind you, giant grotesque arms right above your head as his pearly white fangs glimmered against the light, sending you downwards a spiral of terror.
"This is going to hurt you a lot more than it'll hurt me."
Just like that he slammed his fists at the top of your head, knocking you out for the next couple of hours. Light sat in his chair as he sighed, an annoyed expression on his face.
"I thought I told you not to be such a brute. (y/n) can be rather delicate as you can so obviously see." he said but Ryuk merely brushed him off with a cackle.
"You sure do pick interesting humans to love and keep Light!" said the shinigami with a wild grin on his face. Light merely smirked at the comment, pride bubbling in his chest as he gazed downwards at your unconscious body.
"Indeed I do."
