Yandere Steve with a gn darling who has depression

Request(ed?): Yes! - Hey, idk if this sounds weird but how would steve react to y/n going through a depressed episode? — requested by 🥔 anon

Warnings: yandere themes and alcohol

Authors note: Didn't sound weird at all! This was fun to write as this was my first time writing steve. Hopefully this is okay, I had to hurry this! Stay well :)

R3blogging and likes are amazing! Feedbacks of any sorts mean a lot! Stay well!

Steve is fairly observant, so the moment you started to stay inside more, ignoring his text messages/or calls and declining his offers to hang out; he knew it was getting bad again.

He understands depression is like a scale. At times, you will feel excellent, feeling energetic, and then crash down all of the sudden; wanting to stay in bed until the world ends.

At this point, he will do everything in his power to make sure you feel heard and that you are not alone. Seeing you in such a low state makes him upset and not being able to take it away makes him even more upset. Usually, at this time, he will try to comfort you as best as he can: kissing your forehead while giving you a back rub or cuddling you.

Steve would never get mad at you, no matter how much you decline his offers to leave the bed or snap at him to leave you alone, he doesn't sigh or get annoyed. He understands that you don't need any more stress as it is, so he tries his hardest to never loose his cool.

He will occasionally check for hygienic updates. Steve will gladly help you with wiping down your face with facial cleanser wipes, help you brush your teeth, or gargle some mouthwash to feel better or to some degree, feel cleaner.

Steve will let you rest as much as you need, but will occasionally shake you awake to make you eat breakfast, or pull you out of bed to do some activities with him. If it gets you out of the bed, for even about 30 minutes, he will take you for a walk, do a fun board game or go outside, and sit on the patio to get some serotonin.

Steve will even put on your favorite shows, and make your favorite food to bring you to bed; making sure you eat something, offering some water so you stay hydrated.

After a hard day of doing activities, he will lay with you on the bed: cuddling, watching your favorite comfort shows while eating some leftovers from the night before.

A/n: Hey you, nice to see you again. I love this idea so much. It reminds me of a series I did on this blog a while back...we don't talk about that... Tags: Mk1, MK AU, Siren!reader C/w: Yandere tropes, (in captain america voice) language! , allusions to s3x

Reiko

He hadn't even met you yet and already he was interested. There is no doubt about it, he is a madman.

He'd come to you no doubt to get your aid in General Shao's ongoing campaign against the royal family. Shao had just gave a brief description of you and Reiko was almost instantly obsessed.

He would jump off the ship and swim to you before you even knew of their presence and could start singing. So the sight of him was confusing as much as it was beguiling.

He almost didn't want to bring you back to Shao. He wanted to keep you all to himself. Finally he would relent and brig back to his leader. To his luck, Shao assigned the both of you to work together.

He'd steal as many moments away as with you as he could. He refused to share you with anyone. He'd be in a fury whenever he heard a single soul showing any interest. Perhaps they wouldn't even show up the next day.

If a single soul said a single bad thing about you he'd beat the ever loving shit out of them. Hell, he'd beat them to death if no one stopped him.

He tells you how much he loves you every day. If given the chance, he'd show his love by sending gifts, odd things he knew you loved, or even dismembered limbs for you to feed off of. He would also show his love for you in... other ways, if he had enough time.

You are the only reason he even would show Liu Kang any bit of praise. He begrudgingly thankful to him for creating you.

The realms shudder at your joining hands with him. Your union is one of the deadliest ones in the realms. Both Shao and Liu Kang would worry about you two and how much of a threat you were slowly becoming.

Rain

While one the run from Empress Mileena, Rain came across you as he traveled the seas. Or you came across him to be precise. At the sound of your call, Rain came to you unable to control himself. Much to your surprise, when Rain finally came to you he wasn't terrified at all, instead he was in awe. You were the most magnificent thing he had ever seen in his life.

So you let him live, you went with him, you have not parted with each other since.

Rain did everything he could to impress you, your perception of him seemed to matter to him most of all. He'd do every trick he knew of to amuse you. Your smile, your laugh was intoxicating to him.

To others, you were a horrid monster, to him, you were a beautiful mermaid, his muse. You inspired him in so many ways he'd be here for countless hours to name them all.

But as much as his interest in this relationship was about you, it was him. He loves you, but he also sees you as the perfect person to help him expand his skills and mastery. He'd want you to teach him everything you knew. His hunger for power sometimes eclipsed his interest in you.

But even then, he'd never want to betray you. The idea of not only betraying but leaving you is something so painful that he'd refuse yo imagine it. He already betrayed his Kingdom, he has lost everything. He can't lose you.

Havik

You two had met when he was working with Rain to overthrow Seido, you were trying to lure him to his death, the usual. But this time was different, he wasn't going to because he was under your influence, he was doing this under his own fruition. You amaze him, a creature who is both beauty and beast. He had to have you.

The sight and realization that his chaotic nature subsides your control, as well as the fake that he's crazy enough to willingly approach you, it amuses you.

You both had a chaotic nature within you both, so you have an instant connection. His love for you is so great, he can't get enough of you.

Like Reiko, he sends you gift after gift. Keep in mind that these would be no normal gifts. They include but not limited to oddities, cursed artifacts, dismembered limbs (if he was feeling frisky, he'd send certain ones over others).

The things you'd do together are as insane as you'd imagine. You would lure people into your trap and he would torture them in whatever sadistic way you'd like.

Other times you'd do the most disturbing things to each other just for fun. Things so vile that it would make Shinnok sick. But you don't care you love doing these things together. You love being together, and all the realms shudder at the very thought of your union.

Bi-Han

The very concept of you fascinates him. Everything about you amazes him, your beauty, your voice, your willingness to kill. Though he won't admit it, he's been obsessed with you ever since he first met you.

But how did you first meet? Ah yes, when you tried to lure him and some of his Lin Kuei to their deaths while they were at sea. He wasn't affected though, his iron-will protected him from your lull. But he couldn't get you off his mind from that point on, he had to get you by his side no matter the cost.

You were intrigued by him also, the way he resisted you. It brought you to him, ironically.

You two have been inseparable ever since. Together you formed an alliance so deadly that all the realms shuddered at your union.

Whenever you went away or weren't by his side, he felt alone and miserable. He couldn't live without you, he refuses to admit it but he does.

When you were together he'd insist that it was just you and him, no one was allowed to be present unless necessary. He wanted you all to himself.

Even though you were with Bi-Han, that didn't stop from continuing your habits. You'd still lure men to their deaths or worse, even if those men were Lin Kuei. But this didn't anger Bi-Han for you could do no wrong in his eyes. In fact, this makes him jealous. Is he not enough to satisfy you? What is so good about them that you prefer over him? Is what he thinks to himself.

He will never say to you, but he adores you and he'd never leave you alone, no matter what you do.

how are Yandere Sam and Bucky different when it's a threeway as opposed to just Bucky/Reader or Sam/Reader?

(For clarity, I'm picturing post-Endgame for all of this.)

I imagine Yandere Sam would be pretty laidback and would operate largely in the ballpark of surveillance and manipulation. He would use Redwing to keep an eye on you when he's not around (He's not much of an in-person stalker; physically following someone, or breaking into houses, that's not him. He just generally considers it to be a bad look.), but he'd really shine in his ability to gaslight. Because he's a trauma counselor, and he does amazing work communicating with people and making them feel safe, and he can use that skill in lots of different ways. He's an extremely non-threatening yandere. He wouldn't even be aggressive toward romantic rivals, at least at first; he can manipulate them as easily as he can manipulate you. Drive them away with a smile on his face, and they would hold positive opinions of him as they go. If they persist in trying to pursue you after he's given them a chance to back down, that's when violence is done.

Everyone in your life would be subject to his manipulations. Your boss loves him, your friends love him, your parents love him. You didn't introduce him to any of them; he found them and charmed them and "Oh, you're dating Sam? Yeah, I know Sam! He's great!" (Depending on where we are in the timeline, he might also be benefiting from the Captain America clout. We haven't seen too much of how that manifests for him, relative to how it manifested for Steve, but something to consider.)

Since he loves you, he considers it important to be in control of your loved ones, in control of your enemies, in control of himself, and in control of you. He would like to keep turbulence to a minimum. That said, he wouldn't be likely to kidnap you, under most circumstances; he doesn't have to, and doing so would be assuming an unnecessary risk that would ultimately make it harder to maintain your emotional wellbeing.

I imagine Yandere Bucky would be volatile and needy, in comparison. He would present himself as very put-together and charming; he would seem a lot like Sam, in that regard. Just a charming, lighthearted, likeable guy. But he would be way more likely to kill someone behind the scenes, because after everything he's been through, the bits of joy he gets from being around you are something he refuses to part with. Having dealt with a great deal of lost agency in the past, he really needs to have an uncomplicated win. He needs you to love him and accept his love, and if you don't, then eventually he's going to panic.

Unlike Sam, he doesn't trust himself to be in control of things and in control of you; he might approach you very obliquely, stalking you from the shadows (sometimes of your own home) because he's scared of how you'll react to the real him...and how the real him will react to you. I don't think, under normal circumstances, he would trust himself enough to kidnap you. Even if you were to open your closet door and find him inside, he would more likely chloroform you and disappear before you can see his face than go so far as to abduct you.

Using Winter Soldier-ish tactics to stalk you brings up bad memories for him and makes him all the more convinced that he shouldn't be trusted with someone as valuable to him (and as fragile!) as you. Eventually, his desires will likely overcome his doubts, and he'll try asking you out. If you accept, he might be able to conceal his yandere tendencies for a pretty long time; if you don't, his desperation might increase drastically.

Together, I imagine they would temper each other in good ways. Bucky would feel calmer, knowing Sam is there to make sure he doesn't go too far, and Sam would feel a certain security, knowing his more sinister thoughts are ones that Bucky has already had and might have acted on. Because yeah, maybe part of Sam wants to lose his temper more, fight his rivals harder, etc., but he's too careful to act on those impulses. Bucky will just go out and kill people, and this mitigates Sam's internal tension around keeping his cool (because the person got punished anyway) and gives him another resource to manage: Bucky's patience.

Maybe it's not as smart, but it feels better to say "Bucky, you can kill under these circumstances, but not these" than to have to hold himself back.

They would argue with each other pretty often, but they would work well together. Bucky would have an ongoing debate with Sam about "less risky" remote stalking vs. "At least I'm there if they need me!" in-person stalking.

They would make fun of each other's ways of expressing love- in jest; they're having fun with each other and making you laugh more than actually mocking. But they would relentlessly tease each other over their chosen terms of endearment, romantic gestures, etc.

I think, together, they'd be more likely to kidnap you. There's still a chance that they wouldn't, but Bucky would be less worried about it with Sam in the picture, so the chance of it definitely increases.

There are plenty of Marvel groups who would/could share a bby. After all, many of them have known each other for years, and, as mentioned previously, some of they have died before, so they might decide to have a friend/partner/team share their bby to make sure they are okay if anything happens to one of the yanderes. Of course, each group has its own special members and dynamics, so they all have their separate ways of handling their obsession. Some of the groups are:

• The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (according to them. Sometimes break a city or two by accident. Working on not doing that. Co-workers who became family along the way. Along with their co-workers' friends and family, who probably get special privileges). Has members like Iron Man, Hawkeye, Captain America, The Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor. Not to mention other characters who show up in one media or another, such as Bucky Barnes, The Falcon, Vision, and the Maximoff twins (those two are also sometimes, once again depending on the media being used/read/imagined, a part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants or the X-Men). This group is likely to have a bby who is a vigilante, or a kid trying to survive, yet still attempting to do the right thing.

Christmas w/ Yandere Steve Rogers (platonic)

It would be extremely important to Steve to make Christmas as special as possible for his obsession. Especially if it’s their first Christmas with him. This man will decorate to the nines, even going as far as to work through the night to get everything up and working. He would even enlist the help of the other Avengers to make sure everything gets done. (Just imagine waking up during the night and looking out your window to the Avengers arguing about how the Christmas lights should look on the roof. Or how the inflatable Frosty the Snowman would look better on the left side of the house rather than the right side.)

Steve would take his darling out to the wilderness to pick out a Christmas tree, chop it down himself and pack it up to take home. There’s a good guarantee Bucky, Nat, or Sam would be there too. Hell, all of them might be there. It wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if they all argued about which tree would be the best but no matter what you get the last word.

Decorating the tree is one of Steve’s favorite things. It’ll probably just be the two of you decorating but Steve wouldn’t want it any other way. The house will be filled with Christmas music while the two of you decorate. Dancing and signing around the Christmas tree would be inevitable. Steve will leave it to you to put the star or angel or whatever you’ve picked as a tree topper on the tree. He would even lift you up to do so if you can’t reach.

Steve wouldn’t have much of a problem with his obsession spending some time with their real family during Christmas. Whether it’s Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, Steve wouldn’t mind it too much so long as you still spend time with him and don’t completely forget about him. Given how Steve is it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if your family also invited Steve to Christmas with them too. That way he still gets to spend time with you but he prefers it when it’s just you and him.

He wouldn’t go all out on gifts but he will get you something he thinks you would really like and that he’s put a lot of thought into. Being from the 40’s Steve didn’t have the luxury of having a lot but that doesn’t stop him from giving his darling what he believes they deserve and they deserve the world. But holidays are for the more important things besides gifts and that’s what he wants to focus more on.

Steve doesn’t really expect to get a Christmas gift from you but he’s so happy if you do give him one. Even if it’s a tie or a pair of funky socks, Steve will wear them with pride and cherish them. He may get a little jealous if you get the other Avengers Christmas gifts but it won’t be too bad. That is unless you give the same gift or even a similar gift to someone else. That may cause a little bit of petty beef between him and that person but whatever.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, you and Steve will leave milk and cookies out for Santa. Steve will wholeheartedly pretend Santa visited; sneaking out during the night to leave a half eaten cookie and an empty glass of used to be milk. It’s just something he’s always wanted to do for his kids and since he’s got you he’ll continue to do it no matter what age you are. You can also bet he’ll have Uncle Bucky dressing up as Santa too.

There’s no doubt that Steve and his obsession will be in attendance at one of Tony’s Christmas parties. Whether forced or not. Steve won’t have too much of a problem with it until he catches sight of a mistletoe. You can bet after that he’s keeping you as close to him as possible. No one’s catching his obsession under the mistletoe, not on his watch. Hopefully the ugly sweaters he conned you into wearing with him will keep any would-be-kissers away.

You can bet on actual Christmas Day, Steve will have you wearing matching pajamas with him. And Christmas cards will be sent out to everyone with pictures of you two in said matching pajamas. There’s a good chance that Bucky, Nat and Sam will be there too, also probably wearing matching pajamas. The rest of the Avengers may even weasel their ways into sabotaging Steve’s time with you taking whatever attention they can get. Either way the whole day would be dedicated to Christmas movies, warm drinks and family. Even if somethings didn’t quite play out how he wanted at least Steve had you and that’s all he could ever ask for. Maybe one day it could be you, him and Peggy all celebrating Christmas together but right now he was more than content where he was.

TONY STARK/IRON MAN

That little shit knew all along. Yes, even before you knew yourself. You didn't know how, you didn't know if JARVIS had somekind of skill to tell if you were pregnant, but either way, you were furious and wouldn't stop trying to get away from him throughout your pregnancy. But Tony would always just happily place his head on your stomach and listen to the baby inside you.

STEVE ROGERS/CAPTAIN AMERICA

One thing's for sure is that he's happier than you about the news and far more excited. He would be spending his days by reading some books about babies, massaging your whole body, accompanying you whenever you have morning sickness, glaring at every single man who dares to steal a glance of you or your baby bump. He might have the title of 'America's Sweetheart' but trust me, he is not a sweetheart when it comes to pretty much everyone, except you and your future children.

BRUCE BANNER/THE HULK

He's in disbelief and shock. Let's face it, yandere or not, i doubt that Bruce would even think much about children, unless he had planned to have them all along. But if the pregnancy became a suprise to you both, then he will most likely be in disbelief. Even though he's a yandere, Bruce is scared of what might happen to the baby because of the other guy, the Hulk, and what might happen if he one day lose control. But even after all those worries, he would never, ever, ever let you get an abortion or do anything to get rid of the child.

THOR ODINSON

Thor is nearly the same as Tony. The only difference is, he didn't know when you would be pregnant. Throughout the relationship with him, he made it clear that he wanted children of his own with you. So, it came no suprise to him when you told him that you were pregnant. To him, it was only a matter of time. But either way, he would feel pleased with himself that he managed to give you the child in your belly and would think of the belly as a symbol that you belong to him and him only.

NATASHA ROMANOFF/BLACK WIDOW

Natasha would be quite ecstatic! You and her both know that she can't conceive children of her own, so you were confused as fuck to how you managed to get pregnant because you never had sex with anyone else besides Natasha, not like she would ever let you do that either. Well, it doesn't matter now anyway and even if you are that curious bitch who keeps on trying to find out how she did it, then she would just be busy preparing the nursery.

CLINT BARTON/HAWKEYE

Clint had always wanted children with you. Yes, children. Multiple. More than one. So, he was more than relieved and happy when he found out you were pregnant. He had been trying to impregnate you for some time after both of your marriage, only to end up disappointed when you were not yet pregnant. When he finds out, he would kiss your forehead and rub your belly while asking what was taking so long for that to have happened. Throughout the first pregnancy- and you can trust me on this -Clint would be busy making a plan for another child, so buckle up, sweetheart.

Trust and believe that he WILL use the fact that he has many enemies to scare you.

He wants you to rely on him and that can be easily done.

All of the shady things that he does is easily written off as him wanting to protect you.

Steve would never actually hurt you because he genuinely views you as helpless.

Being with Steve does have some perks though!

Whatever you want is practically yours... as long as you continue to go along with what he wants.

Peter

Peter is pretty innocent himself, so this would be a really good match.

Peter wouldn’t dream of taking advantage of you, especially if you accept him.

Expect to be have many fun dates and movie nights with him.

He’s so excited to be around someone (besides Ned) that has the same temperament as him.

Having an innocent partner would eventually make him a bit more cautious.

He realizes that by him having his head in the clouds all day can end up dangerously for both of you (in case a villain discovers he’s Spider-Man).

Regardless, Peter will still be soft and sweet to you.

Natasha sees you being innocent as a blessing and a curse.

She worries that someone else will take advantage of you.

That concern doesn’t have much merit because Natasha would kill someone before allowing that to happen.

You definitely soften her up because she quickly learns that you’re not like other people.

She views you as someone that needs to be protected and preserved... not manipulated.

However, being with you teaches her that she doesn’t have to live life on edge 24/7.

Natasha’s would never admit it, but her favorite activity is teasing you.

She just loves watching you become flustered.

Natasha firmly believes that you are her’s and she definitely doesn’t do much to hide it because she knows that you won’t object too much.

Bucky would love an innocent partner.

He’d definitely try to keep you away from his lifestyle as best as he could — that’s non-negotiable.

Bucky is tired of being a weapon and craves a calm life.

Bucky’s affection for you would know no bounds. He’d constantly offer to do things for/with you.

Wherever you go, expect Bucky to be trailing behind you.

He’s extremely honest with you about wanting to protect you.

His genuineness is hard to miss, so an innocent reader would really have no problem being with him.

Liquid droplets slowly streamed down your cheek as your eyes cracked open.

Darkness.

The tiniest sliver of moonlight gathering in the corner of the room, reflecting off the puddle of liquid on the floor. With just enough light to illuminate the metal bars of a cell.

The distinct smell of mildew and metal filled the thick air. Struggling to open your eyes again, you pulled your hand towards your face, the clinking of chains rattled through the room, as icy metal bit into your wrists above your head. You cursed to yourself, trying to rise to your feet as searing heat radiated up through your body. Your back muscles protesting as your head began to pound, your vision darkening around the edges as your eyelids became heavy.

*Clink*… *Clink*… *CLUNK*

“Wake up little fox…” a voice echoed through the room,

“Ah, let her sleep, she’ll need all the rest she can get before the boss gets here.” Another voice, soft and melodious.

Forcing your eyes open wider, your heart skipped in your chest, on the other side of the bars stood Steve and the Soldier.

You shook your head, the pounding intensifying, “No, I…I killed you and the soldier, the… the cabin… I…”

A mocking laugh reverberated off the walls around you,

“What, you think I didn’t notice your little trap? I knew that cabin like the back of my own hand, sensed that trap the second I set foot on the porch.”

Through the dim lighting you could make out Steve’s malicious smile, and the soldier’s stoic features,

“Please doll, ‘the soldier’, call me Bucky… better get used to it, you’ll be screaming it later.” A smirk lifted one corner of his lips as he grasped Steve’s shoulder, “Come ‘on Steve, let ‘er rest, we have all the time in the world with her now.”

The feel of rough hands slipping up your arms to the shackles that contained you jolted you from your stupor, immediately sending you into a blind frenzy. Your now freed limbs clawing at the new assailant, your body protesting at the attempt, your back muscles and spine screamed at you. Around you, thundering gunshots and the frantic shouts of men overwhelmed your senses.

The new assailant brushed off your attacks effortlessly, looping one arm under your legs and the other around your shoulders. Your eyes peeled open, giving you a brief glance at the man handling you; his sharp features hidden by a full beard and fluffy hair framing his face, soft, familiar cerulean eyes scanning over your figure.

Panic filled you, Steve.

He had come for you.

He pulled you closer to his chest, soft voice washing over you, “Take it easy love, we are getting you out of here.”

Your limbs were heavy, the urge to fight, to run or die trying filled you, but your limbs would not move, excruciating pain radiated through you, a strangled sob left your lips.

“I’ve got her, ensure Barnes and Rogers remain pinned down! Catch them if you can, if not, kill them.”

“But sir- ”

“Do it!” his chest rumbled with the command, vibrating your body.

Your mind swirled, the edges of your vision beginning to darken and blur again as fresh cold air enveloped you, through your blurred vision you could still make out the twinkling stars through the trees above you. Then the ceiling of what you assumed was a vehicle, your heavy eyelids slipped shut, followed by a soft warmth covering your body, you curled into it a breathy whimper leaving your lips at the strain from the movement.

“Shh. It’s okay love, I’ve got you… I’ve got you.”

You dreamt of a gentle man with sea blue eyes, a knight in shining armor, a life free from the strings Hydra pulled, free from danger. That was before…

Like the flip of a switch, darkness surrounded you, the sounds of heavy footsteps becoming closer, for every step forward, you took one back…back…back… into a corner, with nowhere else to turn, chest tightening, breaths shallow and abrupt. Your throat began to constrict, the pressure of a phantom hand slowly tightening, your own hands clawing at the invisible presence as warm tears built behind your eyes, gradually overflowing to spill down your cheeks.

Four hands emerged from the abys, a silent scream falling into the emptiness enveloping you…-

The not so silent scream erupted from you as you were ripped from your nightmare, waking in the real world, your eyes snaping open, hand clutching at your chest, your heart palpitated wildly, almost beating straight out of your ribcage.

Struggling to sit up, trying to steady your breathing, your brain trying to recognize your new environment.

You were leaning against plush, dark satin pillows, balled in your other fist were matching sheets, the silk material slipping through your fingers. All your muscles felt like a dull fire had started under your skin, the pain that knocked you out before now an irritating encumbrance compared to the numbness that clouded your mind.

The curtains were drawn in the room, a faint light seeping through the grey fabric, through the split in the curtains, sunlight poured onto the floor, like a ship splitting the sea of tile. The beam of light leading to a bearded figure lounging on the sofa in the middle of the room. His head rolled to the side, before he sat up, concerned sapphire eyes raked over you.

Your heart skipped a beat, this was the same man who had pulled you from that cell Bucky and Steve had you rotting in. You were unsure of his motives or if you could trust him, but a bizarre feeling of calm washed over you as his cautious eyes found yours again. Turning his gaze away he bowed his head, without a word ran his hands though his hair before standing and making his way out the door.

As the door clicked shut, you waited to hear the lock slip into place, but the sound never came. Left alone, you took the chance to familiarize yourself with your new surroundings. Stepping out of the bed, the long pants and sleeves of your pajama’s glided against your skin, as your feet hit the marble floor, the expected icy shock was replaced with a surprising warmth. Furrowing your brow, you closed the distance between you and the shrouded window, your motions sluggish, the muted pain throbbing in your bones.

Your eyes widened at the view, mere yards in front of you midnight blue waves crashed beach powdered with white snow, the setting sun now kissing the horizon, painting the surface of the water in pinks, yellows, and oranges. Evergreen trees dotted the shoreline farther down the coast, giving way mountains devoured by pearlescent snow and a thick forest. The cold of the outside air permeated from the glass, resting your head against it, cooling your heated skin as your breath formed in a light fog against the window. You sighted allowing the silence to fall around you, soothing your nerves.

Nearly jumping out of your own skin when the door opened, a throat was cleared behind you, turning slowly, you met those blue eyes again, leaning against the open-door hands resting behind his back, your head tilting in curiosity, your mouth opened ready to question, but you were cut off when another man entered the room.

His black suit stark against his lightly tanned skin, a playful smirk plastered across his face, icy eyes boring into yours as he dismissed the man behind him.

“That’ll be enough Ari, she is safe with me.” The bearded man, Ari, nodded subtly and left the room, the door shutting behind him.

“It’s nice to see you up and about…” he walked toward the sofa in the center of the room, his back to you, setting a crystal glass onto the table, as he turned to look at you again, the amber liquid glittering in the evening sun.

“Come princess, we… I didn’t think you would actually recover…” he motioned to the chair across from him, “please, sit.”

Stepping closer to the chair you raised your chin, “And who are you to care if I recover?”

He raised his brows in surprise, then shook his head, his hand coming up to cover his face in embarrassment, “Oh, how rude of me…” an encouraging smile split his features, “Nick. Nick Fowler, princess.” His hand reaching over the table towards you, reluctantly you accepted it. Grasping your hand gently, he brought it to his lips placing a soft kiss to your knuckles.

“We have much to discuss.”
