akutagawa actually likes risu to a certain degree (congratulations this is incredibly hard to do) because they feel a certain kinship with him when it comes to Violence and also Entity In My Body that Eats Things but

for someone so seemingly strong they think he does woefully little with it. in their eyes, it seems strange to dwell so much on hang-ups from the past when he could seemingly be using his magic for so much more. wasted potential upsets akutagawa because they don’t respect the idea of willing complacency. if you could overpower someone and subsume their strength, why not do it? he laments his circumstances far too much for someone who seems to be able to boast the power to change it!

HONESTLY kaeya mostly likes risu a lot and finds him incredibly entertaining. especially curse. really the only thing that gets on their nerves is the self pity surrounding his own murder and curse and... that says a lot more about kaeya than it does about risu!
