Writer's Block just... sucks. I have ideas, then I get distracted or pulled away because I someone needs me. Then it takes so much time to get back where I was. Still working on Book 3 but to keep things from getting stagnant, I have a Book 4 WIP, too. That one comes in bits and pieces. It’s important to take time to focus on the good.

Focus on what you want to do with your life.

It’s hard to know what to write.

Sometimes we can’t seem to create something

AESTHETIC

Just type what comes to mind.

Build who you are.

Don’t try to be someone else.

Don’t force it.

FEBRUARY AUTHOR CHALLENGE: DAY 12 Least Favorite Tense to Write in: So this is a thing in many writing circles that I will never understand, there’s a ton of hate for present tense. Now my personal dislike is past tense, it doesn’t feel fluid to write it, I don’t mind reading it, but it doesn’t feel right to me as a writer. But if you write in third person present tense, or even to an extent first person present tense, it apparently goes against the supposed rules of writing. Their main argument is that present tense isn’t usually written well so authors just shouldn’t do it. Well by those standards I know many mainstream published works in past tense that aren’t written well. The point of writing is to write it well, and if you do that in any format and readers enjoy it, then I don’t believe a work should be penalized by publishing firms and English critics just because an author pulled off something others couldn’t. Writing is an art, and there shouldn’t be any rules that restrict it.
