over-caffeinated @lokisgoodgirl answers...
I'm going renegaaade
Also PLEASE ask me a question from this list or from your head😂😂I'm writing something super hot at the moment and keep having to take breaks so you'd be helping me out 🥴💀
@mochie85 wanted to know
4. - Link your three favorite fics right now.
This is what I am currently reading and mooning over. The list is not exhaustive or exclusive of the many many writers I am absolutely obsessed with on here.
Of Fathers & Sons - @holdmytesseract
The fluffiest, cutest most ovary-clenching dad Loki fluff you'll ever read and I am OBSESSED
True Love Lost (series in progress) - @michelleleewise
I actually know what happens in this (I think?? unless she's pulling a switch) and I'm still, again, OBSESSED.
Loki Vs Ikea - @xorpsbane
Like...the level of hilarity is off the charts I just can't. I am...THIRD TIME FOR THE BACK obsessed with the way she writes Loki and Thor, just too funny.
#22 - Do take fic requests? If so, for what characters and why?
Currently, no I don't take requests because I'm terrible at sticking to other peoples ideas. I'm always open to Loki prompts though or lil thought nuggets.
I don't always answer asks that send them because I don't wanna lose the idea even if I don't use it straight away, so please don't be offended please
#28 - How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?
I don't really feel any to be honest, which is good. I write when I feel like it, I post when I feel like it. I think not having a committed series/taking requests has a lot to do with that, if I'm honest. I don't enjoy the feeling of being boxed in (even if I'm not really)
Luckily I haven't experienced a lot of negativity on here, which is lovely. It sucks that some people ruin it for others (don't be that person!)

Looking at the "5 +1 Times The Turtles Scared April" story for the wip tag game thingy. I always find "5+1" fics super cute! I'm assuming this one is "haha accidental scared" and not "omg they might be dying scared"?
Well....
Thats actually a sidefic set in the Algnment-Swap verse from A Mixed Bag! So y'know the one where the boys are. Evil. I figured exploring how a human became part of the family in a universe the clan hates humans was worth exploring. They won't all be "oh no they're gonna kill me" scared but. Yeah there is actually some of that--
I really should get around to working on that again.

2, 14, and 26 for the fic writer asks!
2. Go to your AO3 “Works” page, to the sidebar with all the filters, and click the drop-down arrow for “Additional Tags.” What are your top 3-5 most used tags? Do you think they accurately represent your writing habits?
Okay, this was the best, I swear!
1. Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence
2. Angst
3. Fluff (somehow 🥴)
4. Hurt/Comfort (my fav, of course)
5. Possessive behaviour (not me putting this on main).
And yep, that is definitely an accurate representation of my fics, but I still don’t know how fluff is so high up 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m not very good at writing fluff.
14. Are there any tropes you would only read if written by a trusted friend or writer?
Non-con/consensual non-con. I’d only read it by a handful of people who I trust.
26. Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue?
Oh God, I think I’d go mad either way, but I think a fic with no dialogue, mainly cause I can include dialogue in the narrative, but I can’t include narrative in the dialogue.
Thank you so much for the ask!

Fantasy Guide to Building A Culture
Tumblr media
Culture is defined by a collection of morals, ethics, traditions, customs and behaviours shared by a group of people.
Hierarchy and Social Structures
Tumblr media
Within every culture, there is a hierarchy. Hierarchies are an important part of any culture, usually do ingrained that one within the culture wouldn't even question it. Hierarchy can be established either by age, gender or wealth and could even determine roles within their society. Sometimes hierarchy can may be oppressive and rigid whilst other times, ranks can intermingle without trouble. You should consider how these different ranks interact with one another and whether there are any special gestures or acts of deference one must pay to those higher than them. For example, the Khasi people of Meghalaya (Northern India), are strictly matrillineal. Women run the households, inheritance runs through the female line, and the men of the culture typically defer to their mothers and wives. Here are a few questions to consider:
How is a leader determined within the culture as a whole and the family unit?
Is the culture matriarchal? Patriarchal? Or does gender even matter?
How would one recognise the different ranks?
How would one act around somebody higher ranking? How would somebody he expected to act around somebody lower ranking?
Can one move socially? If not, why? If so, how?
Traditions and Customs
Tumblr media
Traditions are a staple in any culture. These can be gestures or living life a certain way or to the way a certain person should look. Traditions are a personal detail to culture, they are what make it important. Tradition can dictate how one should keep their home, run their family, take care of their appearance, act in public and even determine relationship. Tradition can also be a double edged sword. Traditions can also be restrictive and allow a culture to push away a former member if they do not adhere to them, eg Traditional expectations of chastity led to thousands of Irish women being imprisoned at the Magdelene Laundries. Customs could be anything from how one treats another, to how they greet someone.
How important is tradition?
What are some rituals your culture undertakes?
What are some traditional values in your world? Does it effect daily life?
Are there any traditions that determine one's status?
Values and Opinions
Tumblr media
Values and Opinions are the bread and butter of any culture. This is the way your culture sees the world and how they approach different life hurdles. These may differ with other cultures and be considered odd to outsiders, what one culture may value another may not and what opinion another holds, one may not. There will be historical and traditional reasons to why these values and opinions are held. Cultures usually have a paragon to which they hold their members to, a list of characteristics that they expect one to if not adhere to then aspire to. The Yoruba people value honesty, hard work, courage and integrity. Here are some questions to consider?
How important are these ethics and core values? Could somebody be ostracised for not living up to them?
What are some morals that clash with other cultures?
What does your culture precieved to be right? Or wrong?
What are some opinions that are considered to be taboo in your culture? Why?
Dress Code
Tumblr media
For many cultures, the way somebody dresses can be important. History and ethics can effect how one is meant to be dressed such as an expectation of chastity, can impose strict modesty. While other cultures, put more importance on details, the different sorts of clothes worn and when or what colour one might wear. The Palestinian people (من النهر إلى البحر ، قد يكونون أحرارا) denoted different family ties, marriage status and wealth by the embroidery and detailing on their thoub.
Are there traditional clothes for your world? Are they something somebody wears on a daily basis or just on occasion?
Are there any rules around what people can wear?
What would be considered formal dress? Casual dress?
What would happen if somebody wore the wrong clothes to an event?
Language
Tumblr media
Language can also be ingrained as part of a Culture. It can be a specific way one speaks or a an entirely different language. For example, in the Southern States of America, one can engage in a sort of double talk, saying something that sounds sweet whilst delivering something pointed. Bless their heart. I have a post on creating your own language here.
Arts, Music and Craft
Tumblr media
Many cultures are known for different styles of dance, their artwork and crafts. Art is a great part of culture, a way for people to express themselves and their culture in art form. Dance can be an integral part of culture, such as céilí dance in Ireland or the Polka in the Czech Republic. Handicrafts could also be important in culture, such as knitting in Scottish culture and Hebron glass in Palestine. Music is also close to culture, from traditional kinds of singing such as the White Voice in Ukraine and the playing of certain instruments such as the mvet.
Food and Diet
Tumblr media
The way a culture prepares or intakes or treats certain foods are important to a culture. In some cultures, there is a diet yo adhere to, certain foods are completely banned. With Jewish culture, pork is prohibited along with fish such as sturgeon, along with shellfish and certain fowl. Meat must also be prepared in a certain way and animal byproducts such as dairy, must never be created or even eaten around this meat. This is known as kosher. The way one consumes food is also important to culture. In some cultures, only certain people may eat together. Some cultures place important on how food is eaten. In Nigerian culture, the oldest guests are served first usually the men before the women. In Japanese culture, one must say 'itadakimasu' (I recieve) before eating. Culture may also include fasting, periods of time one doesn't intake food for a specific reason.
What are some traditional dishes in your world?
What would be a basic diet for the common man?
What's considered a delicacy?
Is there a societal difference in diet? What are the factors that effect diet between classes?
Is there any influence from other cuisines? If not, why not? If so, to what extent?
What would a typical breakfast contain?
What meals are served during the day?
What's considered a comfort food or drink?
Are there any restrictions on who can eat what or when?
Are there any banned foods?
What stance does your world take on alcohol? Is it legal? Can anybody consume it?
Are there any dining customs? Are traditions?
Is there a difference in formal meals or casual meals? If so, what's involved?
Are there any gestures or actions unacceptable at the dinner table?
How are guests treated at meals? If they are given deference, how so?

Do you have any advice and how to write a long fic?
I'll encourage long fic writers to add on in the notes, but as someone who tends to prefer short and medium-length fic, I'll tell you how I go about it.
Get a premise that you just absolutely love. You're going to be writing this thing for months, if not longer, so you want it to be something you're willing to spend a lot of time thinking about.
Embrace subplots. You'll have your main plotline that you want to see through from beginning to end, but you can also weave in some subplots here or there. The way I do this so that I don't get lost down a rabbit hole is that I always make sure that every chapter has at least 1 thing that moves the main plot forward and then if I want to spend 1-2K with some side characters doing something fun I can do that as well. Subplots can extend for the length of the full narrative, but they can also just last a chapter or three. If you're used to writing short fic, these might give you that familiar feeling of "completion"
A chapter is only as long as it needs to be. Don't get hung up on having a consistent chapter length. Don't get hung up on hitting some arbitrary number every time. Instead, figure out what the next part of your story needs to include and write however many words it takes to get that chunk across. Varying your chapter lengths is a normal thing to do and not something to stress about.
The next thing that I find important personally may or may not be relevant to you, but I find that I can't plot anything in much detail. If I get too into the nitty gritty with my plotting, it just feels like I've already written it. I need to keep it at the level of "And then A and B meet C and hijinks ensue." I can figure out the particular hijinks later. It's the characters meeting up that's the next important thing for me to figure out. Getting too far ahead of myself is a death knell for me in writing long fics, but there are other writers who swear by it. Test out different ways of approaching it and see what works for you.
As someone who tends to write more briefly, another feature that's common to longer fics is more extensive descriptions. People spend time painting visual pictures of the setting or the characters or the actions that are happening. Write the more bare-bones style that focuses more on dialogue (if you're like me) and then go back and read through what you've just written and see if there are opportunities to add in more detail. This can lead to some really interesting characterization choices and also help you out with worldbuilding.
When it comes to worldbuilding, you don't have to get it all on the page. You just need to share what's relevant for the reader in that moment and what is useful to lay out now so that it's already there in a future chapter. You can have an encyclopedic knowledge of how your world works in your head, but it's not actually necessary. No one is going to be quizzing you later - and if they do, you can always figure it out at that point.
Most important for me when I'm trying to get myself to the end of a longer fic, have a friend or a group of friends who are also into what you're writing - or at least willing to hear you get excited about it. Being able to get excited about your work is so important. It's like a bottle of water being handed to you on mile 10 of a marathon.

I'm totally in support of the writers in theory but I'm trying to understand more of what you're fighting for because I've seen some people on twitter claim writers make more money a week than most of us make in a month so I'm trying to understand what the issue is. Also if that info is accurate. This is a genuine question. Not trying to have a "gotcha moment". I really want to hear from a writer.
people have always had wild misconceptions about how much a writer earns because of their lack of understanding of how the industry actually works. there's so many posts about how "you guys make 5k a week. what more do you want?!" yeah...let's do some math on that.
5k a week for 14 weeks (and that's a long room. a lot of rooms these days are 8-10 weeks. those are the dreaded mini-rooms we're trying to kill) is $70,000. for roughly three months of work. you'd think we're cooking with gas...BUT HOLD UP. that's gross! let's see everything that has to come out of that check:
10% to our agent
10% to our manager
5% to our entertainment attorney
5% to our business manager (not everyone has one but a lot of us do. i do, so that's literally 30% immediately off the top of every check)
most of these breakdowns ive seen downplay taxes severely. someone made one that says writers pay 5% in taxes and i would like to ask them "in what universe?". that doesn't even cover state taxes. the way taxes work in the industry is really complicated, but the short of it is most of us have companies for tax reasons so we aren't taxed like people on w2s/1099. if we did we'd be even more fucked. basically every production hires a writer's company instead of the writer as an individual. so they engage our companies for our services and then at the end of the year we (the company) pay taxes as corporations or llcs (depending on what the writer chose to go with). my company is registered as a "corporation" so let's go with those rates. california's corporate rate is 9% and the federal corporate tax rate is 21%. there's other expenses with running a business like fees and other shit so my business managers/accountants/bookkeepers have recommended i save between 35-40% of everything i make for when tax season comes.
you see where the math is at already??? 25-30% in commissions and then 35-40% in taxes. on the lower end you're at THE VERY LEAST looking at 60% of that check gone. 70% worst case scenario. suddenly those $70,000 people claim we make are actually down to $28,000 as the take home pay. and that's if you're only losing 60%. it goes down to $21,000 if it's 70%.
lets pretend you worked a long 14 week room (that's the longest room ive ever worked btw) and let's also be generous and say you only have 60% in expenses so the take home is $28,000. average rent in los angeles is around $2,800-$3,000. if you're paying $2,800 in rent that means you need AT LEAST $4,000 a month to have a semi decent life since you need to also cover groceries, gas, medical expenses, toiletries, phone, internet, utilities, rental and car insurances, car payments, student loan payments, etc etc etc. and again, this is los angeles. everything is more expensive so you're living BARE BONES on 4k. and these are numbers as a single person. im not even taking having children into account. so those $28,000 you take home might cover your life for 6-7 months. 3 of which you're in the room working. the reality is that once that room ends, you might not work in a room again for 6-9-12 months (i have friends whose last jobs were over 18 months ago) and you now only have about 3 months left of savings to hold you over. we have to make that money stretch while we do all the endless free development we do for studios and until we get our next paying job. so...3 months left of enough money to cover your expenses -> possible 9 months of not having a job. this is how writers end up on food stamps or applying to work at target.
this is why we're fighting for better rates and better residuals. residuals were a thing writers used to rely on to get them through the unemployment periods. residual checks have gone down from 20k to $0.03 cents. im not joking.
Tumblr media
they've decimated our regular pay and then destroyed residuals. we have nothing left. so don't believe it when they tell you writers are being greedy. writers are simply fighting to be able to make a middle class living. we're not asking them to become poor for our sake. we're asking for raises that amount to 2% of their profit. TWO PERCENT. this is a fight for writing even being a career in five years instead of something you do on the side while you work retail to pay your bills. if you think shows are bad now imagine when your writer has to do it as a hobby because they need a real job to pay their bills and support a family. (which none of us can currently afford to have btw)
support writers. stop being bootlickers for billion dollar corporations. stop caring about fictional people more than you care about the real people that write them. if we don't win this fight it truly is game over. the industry as you know it is gone.

When I first started writing, it took me a while to learn that writers, you don't need permission
you don't need permission to write a messy first draft
you don't need permission to add everything that makes you happy into your wips
you don't need permission to write in the way that suits you
you don't need permission to write a certain POV or a certain character or a certain trope
you don't need permission to write what you love, even if it isn't 'marketable'

Hi buddy! Hope you're okay. Coming to say hi, see how you're doing and ask how writing is going!
Hello there 👋
Thank you for the ask.
I haven't been very active lately due to busy and inconvenient rl circumstances.
So, at the moment, writing has ground to a halt.
However, I am still re-reading my first book with my eyes peeled for errors and possible openings for some additional scenes/character edits.

Hi! How are you?
I wanted to let you know I finally just finished reading "Schooling Steve " part 4. And oh my word it is amazing! It was a Rollercoaster of emotions! I laughed when Steve used his 40s sayings! I was beyond shocked and excited when Steve gave a hint to Loki. I was like "Is this is will it finnaly happen?" Nope you tease. But still it almost happened! (Maybe in the future?) I loved how you wrote the reader she was like "I'm feedup with you loki ill take over from here love" lol. She was sweet but very Dom with Steve. It was perfect! I can't wait to see what happenes next in thr saga of "Schatchel Steve "
Yaaaaay!!! I'm honestly so delighted and thank you and everyone else for helping make my journey into a fic longer than 2 or 3 parts so much more enjoyable!
I'm writing part 5 today, and I'm really excited about how it will 'end' but I guess I'm kind of nervous too 😂 I don't know how writers who have multi chapters do it honestly.
But anyways, thank you for your continued support and being so lovely and invested in our friend Satchel! Steve and of course, Loki our love❤️
Get your sleep, Satchykins, you'll need it.

Hewwo! If you're still doing the ask game,❤️, 💛, and/or 🎨?
Lissen I will take any excuse to babble about my writings lol.
So for what my favorite line I've written in a fic is-- oooohhh that's gonna be a tough one. I can't think of anything off the top of my head to be honest. I have lines I'm proud of and then once I write it I tend to just. Mentally move on. Focus on the next thing I'm trying to write.
It would probably be a dialogue line though. I'm proud of how I write dialogue. :D
The most impactful lesson I learned about writing, I think would be don't be afraid of editing. It helped me to stop getting hung up on writing The Right Thing out of the gate and just, relax and get Words On Page. And that is the key to being a writer.
afkla;ldas oh and of course you gotta chuck the 'if someone did a fanart of your work what would you like to see' one on there too. I-- absolutely cannot pick. Creativity is a strange and whimsical beast! If anyone chooses to spend their Juices on my work I would be honored just in general!! How can I say 'but this bit especially please?' adjfa;ldls;ldkf

Weird Questions for Writers
Because I am bored AF, I decided to answer these questions from @chdarling‘s post.
Original Post: https://chdarling.tumblr.com/post/650813458669076480/weird-questions-for-writers-because-writers-are
Tumblr media
1. What font do you write in? Do you actually care or is that just the default setting? I mostly write on Google Docs and I usually use the fonts Padauk or Kalam (Kalam is my current font) And it just helps me write more I guess. It’s a soft font and doesn’t feel too demanding when I look at my WIP.
2. If you had to give up your keyboard and write your stories exclusively by hand, could you do it? If you already write everything by hand, a) are you a wizard and b) pen or pencil? I used to write my stories by hand just because it felt easier to write notes on the side and make corrections. And I would use a pen definitely. The fine point one.
3. What is your writing ritual and why is it cursed? I play games before I write. It’s like a must for me to help loosen my brain. Cursed because I end up playing a lot and I lose time to write.
4. What’s a word that makes you go absolutely feral? You mean like I really like the word? I guess it would be Darling. My muses speak in a british accent and when I write them and imagine them saying it (to me) I turn into a puddle.
5. Do you have any writing superstitions? What are they and why are they 100% true? I have a thinking/writing hat I wear (a baseball cap I bought from Abercrombie) They just help me think or give me writing powers. Either or.
6. What is your darkest fear about writing? That I would offend someone.
7. What is your deepest joy about writing? That I brought the characters in my head to life.
8. If you had to write an entire story without either action or dialogue, which would you choose and how would it go? I could probably write a story without dialogue. Cause just like irl, actions speak louder than words. And I would probably hate myself doing it. LOL
9. Do you believe in ghosts? This isn’t about writing I just wanna know. I don’t want to say yes or no because they might appear before me.
10. Has a piece of writing ever “haunted” you? Has your own writing haunted you? What does that mean to you? Not necessarily haunted but I’ve dreamt some of the fics I’ve read and wrote. Okay, maybe that also means they’ve haunted me but when it does happen, it just means that that particular piece has impacted me greatly emotionally.
11. Do you believe in the old advice to “kill your darlings?” Are you a ruthless darling assassin? What happens to the darlings you murder? Do you have a darling graveyard? Do you grieve? I’ve only heard of that saying once. And I’m not sure. I don’t think I’ve tried it before though I’ve turned some into monsters. Does that count?
12. If a genie offered you three writing wishes, what would they be? Btw if you wish for more wishes the genie turns all your current WIPs into Lorem Ipsum, I don’t make the rules. 1) No writer’s block. 2) Time to write. 3) Extensive vocabulary.
13. What is a subject matter that is incredibly difficult for you write about? What is easy? As of now, it’s the dark themes. I’ve only been a reader of Dark Fanfiction and I’m slowly venturing into writing it too. The easy one? Fluff.
14. Do you lend your books to people? Are people scared to borrow books from you? Do you know exactly where all your “lost” books are and which specific friend from school you haven’t seen in twelve years still possesses them? Will you ever get them back? I don’t lend my books. They are my prized possessions (aside from my funko pops and PC) and no one will be able to hold them aside from me.
15. Do you write in the margins of your books? Dog-ear your pages? Read in the bath? Why or why not? Do you judge people who do these things? Can we still be friends? I do dog-ear my pages and I don’t write on the margins but I do highlight the words/lines/phrases that strike me. And of course we can. Do you wanna be my friend though?
16. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever used as a bookmark? A receipt of the book I’m reading.
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text. My characters are roommates and they are bound to fall in love with each other. I’m not yet sure on their personalities but I’m working on it.
18. Choose a passage from your writing. Tell me about the backstory of this moment. How you came up with it, how it changed from start to end. Spicy addition: Questioner provides the passage. “I hope she likes it.” The woman says as she tucks the bill in her apron, Jorah giving her a nod as he turns to leave, walking back to his office. Jorah Mormont is one of my muses and for some reason, I always include flowers to the stories I write of him. Just seems nice and he’s going to give said flowers to the girl he’s gonna be roomies with. Could be because he likes her, could also be because it’s a kind gesture. Kinda like when someone brings you cookies when they visit your home.
19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going? I started writing KPOP Fanfiction back in 2012. I don’t remember why I started writing but probably because I started making scenarios in my head. I always do. As for bumps, there weren’t when I was writing the KPOP fics but there were when I ventured into the MCU fandom since I had this craving where I want people to like what I wrote and I was afraid that no one would read it. Right now, I’m more of a I write what I want. Especially since I’m going to darker paths with my muses and it’s very uncommon for them to be seen as dark characters.
20. If a witch offered you the choice between eternal happiness with your one true love and the ability to finally finish, perfect, and publish your dearest, darlingest, most precious WIP in exactly the way you've always imagined it — which would you choose? You can’t have both sorry, life’s a bitch. Hmmm probably the first one. I don’t know T_T
21. Could you ever quit writing? Do you ever wish you could? Why or why not? I don’t think I would. Writing is a therapy of mine and I feel lost when I’m not writing. I’m not sure if I would ever stop though. I probably would in the next 40 years but we’ll see.
22. How organized are you with your writing? Describe to me your organization method, if it exists. What tools do you use? Notebooks? Binders? Apps? The Cloud? I’m not sure tbh but I do categorize my google drive folders based on my characters.
23. Describe the physical environment in which you write. Be as detailed as possible. Tell me what’s around you as you work. Paint me a picture. I write in my room. I have two 27″ monitors and a PC tower that looks like a storm trooper helmet to my right. I have my White Vision funko pop keeping me company on my desk along with other clutter like 2 water bottles, my phone stand, a roll of tissue paper, a candle, a notebook, Tylenol and deodorant. My room is quite small but cozy, a queen sized bed laying on the floor to the left of my desk. My computer chair is blue, kinda looks like a racing seat and my fan is to my right coz it’s fucking hot here right now.
24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it? I draft the story line of the piece I want to work on. Just a rough one that I could follow and modify along the way. And when I start to write, I read through it over and over to get the emotions I need to write my characters properly. It’s a double edge sword really, the process. It’s sometimes good but at the same time stressful that I won’t be able to write my thoughts right.
25. What is a weird, hyper-specific detail you know about one of your characters that is completely irrelevant to the story? He knows a lot of people. Like ALOT of people.
26. How do you get into your character’s head? How do you get out? Do you ever regret going in there in the first place? I en-vibe them and I don’t get out until I am done. And no, not really. It’s a nice place to be in if I’m being honest.
27. Who is the most stressful character you’ve ever written? Why? Probably Vampire!Jorah. It’s very new in the fandom (at least I think it is) and going into that headspace is tough for me to get through. Like I go there and I get sucked back out.
28. Who is the most delightful character you’ve ever written? Why? Jorah in my story Je te vois. It was the first time I twisted the personality that a lot of Jorah fans like. He’s honorable and respectful. He’s a knight in shining armor. But the person I turned him into is someone who crawled out from hell. Well, tame hell. He’s still tame I would say.
29. Where do you draw your inspiration? What do you do when the inspiration well runs dry? From the things around me usually or the stuff I watch. I have a very active imagination and my head runs from one place to another in just a blink of an eye. When it runs dry, I revisit the place I first thought of it and hope that it comes back to life.
30. Talk to me about the role dreams play in your writing life. Have you ever used material from your dreams in your writing? Have you ever written in a dream? Did you remember it when you woke up? I have once. It was a sad one, about longing. I woke up from it and wrote the idea on a notebook and wrote it when I woke up. I usually have sad or bad dreams and those kinds of dreams KINDA give me life. I like heart wrenching stuff.
31. Write a short love letter to your readers. Thank you for reading the stuff I put out. Half the time I don’t think it would get noticed. Just another post on the site, but that one kudos on AO3 or that one like here on tumblr makes me happy already. So thank you. You don’t know how much I appreciate you.
32. What is a line from a poem/novel/fanfic etc that you return to from time and time again? How did you find it? What does it mean to you? It would be “Will you stay with me?” “Always.” from the Hunger Games Trilogy. It’s just so raw with how Suzanne Collins wrote it. The way Katniss asked for Peeta in such a way even when she’s this girl who likes doing things on her own, a survivor. But she asked for Peeta to be with her and Peeta’s love for Katniss when he says Always just brings me to tears. To love someone and be there for them always despite knowing how they feel about you. It’s just UMPF! I’m dead.
33. Do you practice any other art besides writing? Does that art ever tie into your writing, or is it entirely separate? I do graphic design. And sometimes it does, depending on the project I’m doing.
34. Thoughts on the Oxford comma, Go: What’s that?
35. What’s your favorite writing rule to smash into smithereens? There’s this one rule/tip I saw about writing fanfiction. That you should stay true to the characters. I think that’s crap but that’s just me. If you like staying true to them, you are more than welcome to. For me, I’m not afraid to venture into new avenues with a character. To give them a dark side or a soft side. To kill them or make them live 1000 years into the future. There’s just so many possibilities with the characters I like and if possible, I want to explore all of them.
36. They say to Write What You Know. Setting aside for a moment the fact that this is terrible advice...what do you Know? Just like Jon Snow, nothing.
37. If you were to be remembered only by the words you’ve put on the page, what would future historians think of you? That I’m a try hard. LOL
38. What is something about your writing process YOU think is Really Weird? If you are comfortable, please share. If you’re not comfortable, what do you think cats say about us? Hmmm I don’t think it’s weird?? I dunno really OTL but as for the cats, they probably think us humans are beneath them. Which I agree on.
39. What keeps you writing when you feel like giving up? Giving life to the characters in my head. I want them to dance on paper instead of just living in my brain.
40. Please share a poem with me, I need it. It was many and many a year ago,   In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know   By the name of Annabel Lee; And this maiden she lived with no other thought   Than to love and be loved by me. -Annabel Lee by Edgar Allan Poe (there’s more to it. That’s just the first stanza)

Mainstream sci-fi loves to insist on having drab looking machines as tools of war and oppression almost as a self fulfilling prophecy. But what if, hear me out, we started considering a future with more humane AI and healthier relations to different modes of intelligence (ie. the entire non-human being population of Earth)? 🤔
