my mom shared this with me and I can now confirm that at least one christian has a sense of humor

Lyrics beneath the cut!
10,000 Reasons (Blessed Be)
Verse 1:
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name
Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name
Pre-Chorus:
Every blessing You pour out, I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Chorus 1:
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
O my soul, worship His holy Name.
Sing like never before, O my soul.
I’ll worship Your holy Name.
Verse 2:
Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name
Pre-Chorus
Chorus 1
Bridge (x2):
You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name
Verse 3:
And on that day when my strength is failing,
The end draws near and my time has come;
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending,
Ten thousand years and then forevermore.
Chorus 2:
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name
Chorus 1

I have been practicing some worship song mash-ups. I've got three of them right now figured out (mostly) - a couple of them I would want someone else to record with me (one of them needs it to get the full mash-up overlay across) - but like. would any of y'all like to hear them?

“I Can Only Imagine” By MercyMe:
“I can only imagine, what it will be like,
When I walk, by Your side.
I can only imagine, what my eyes will see,
When Your face is before me.
I can only imagine...
I can only imagine.
Surrounded by Your glory,
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for You Jesus,
Or in awe of You be still?
Will I stand in Your presence,
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah,
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine...
I can only imagine.
I can only imagine, when that day comes,
When I find myself, standing in the Son.
I can only imagine when all I would do is forever,
Forever worship You.
I can only imagine...”

I've been trying to make sense of why people hold Hozier in such high regard. One of the most prime reasons is that he writes about REAL stuff. Stuff that is inherent to human nature but is generally looked down upon by the society. And he probably writes with a vulnerably open heart, but at the same time he has a complex choice of words that doesn't easily give away the real essence of his songs, and this keeps one thinking why is he so ethereal ??!!?

Take my hand, I give it to you
Now you own me, all I am
You said you would never leave me
I believe you, I believe
I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healed

Lyrics beneath the cut!
O Praise Him Forever
Verse 1:
Praise Him you stars above
Galaxies all in motion
Praise Him you thunderclouds
Ringing throughout the Heavens
From every mountaintop
To every wild ocean
Oh, hear all the universe sing praise
Chorus 1:
Oh, sing praise
Let everything that breathes
Let all the earth proclaim
Great is the Lord our God
Praise Him forever
Let all that is within me
Magnify His name
Great is the Lord our God
Praise Him forever
Verse 2:
Turn your gaze to heaven and raise a joyous noise
The sound of salvation come
The sound of rescued ones
And all this for a King
Angels join to sing
All for Christ our King
Pre-Chorus:
How constant, how divine
This song of ours will rise
O, how constant, how divine
This love of ours will rise
Will rise
Chorus 2:
Oh, sing praise (O praise Him)
Let everything that breathes (O praise Him)
Let all the earth proclaim (He is holy)
Great is the Lord our God (He is holy)
Praise Him forever (O praise Him)
Let all that is within me (O praise Him)
Magnify His name (He is holy)
Great is the Lord our God (He is holy)
Praise Him forever
Bridge 1 (x2):
Hear the holy roar
Hear this anthem rise
In the house of God
All creation cries
Bridge 2 (x2):
Hear the holy roar (How infinite and sweet)
Hear this anthem rise (This love so rescuing)
In the house of God (How infinitely sweet)
All creation cries (This great love that has redeemed
As one we sing
Chorus 2
Chorus 2b:
Let all that is within me (O praise Him)
Magnify His name (He is holy)
Great is the Lord our God (He is holy)
Praise Him forever

Lying in my dark room listening to Achilles come down is a different kind of a feeling. The melancholy in this song is so beautiful. The violin part is out of the world.

God, You are The Way Maker, The Miracle Worker. You are The Promise Keeper. You are our light in the darkness, guiding us home to You. I worship You. Amen!🙌
“The Sinach Way Maker song was inspired while she was reading the passages in Genesis 12:1-5, which say:
“Go from your country, your people, and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you. I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse. And all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”
Sinach wrote Way Maker so that everyone could be strengthened by the scriptures in Genesis, chapter 5. The song was released on December 30, 2015 on YouTube and was certified gold less than a year later. It was such a popular song that it has been translated into 50 languages and has been recorded by dozens of very popular Christian musical artists, including Michael W. Smith, Leeland, Mandisa, Darlene Zschech, and many others. It is also sung in churches all across the United States and all over the world.”
