based on the mexican mole lizard, a small amphisbaenian reptile known for its small limbs used to dig and move around, it lives mainy in desert areas where it an dig looking for small insects to eat. its endangered as its range has been reduced by mining, agriculture and of course poaching as some people hunt the animal for being a rare sight.

Slavoia darevskii was a lizard that lived in what is now Mongolia and Kazakhstan during the Late Cretaceous, about 85-70 million years ago.
Around 12cm long ~(4.75"), it had a compact skull, small eyes, a short neck, shovel-like hands, an elongated body and slightly reduced hind limbs – all features that indicate it was a burrowing animal, digging tunnels and feeding on underground invertebrates.
Its exact relationships are uncertain, but recent studies have suggested it was an early amphisbaenian, representing a point in the group's evolution before the full loss of their legs and the development of their extremely long worm-like shape.

Finished designing a dragon for my aunt. Its what a Wyrm would look like in my comics universe. They are based off of worm lizards. Both Wyrms and Wyverns have Pterosaur wings in my comic. This particular Wyrm is nocturnal, they feed on insects. They live in meadows disguised amongst the flowers.

Ever heard of the five-toed worm lizard (Bipes biporus)? This burrowing critter isn’t a snake: It’s a member of a group called amphisbaenians, which include mostly legless reptiles. Growing about 8.3 in (21.1 cm) long, this species is an ectotherm, which means its body temperature depends on its immediate environment. Using its tiny clawed digits to dig underground, it tends to hang out closer to the surface during the early hours of the day, then burrows deeper below the Earth as the Sun peaks. It can be found in Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula.
