but what are GOOD tasting protein bars/shakes, tho??
oooh, i got you bestie!
i’ve tried a lot of them. 🤔
Tumblr media
this one tastes pretty good, it has like these bumpy spots on the top, it honestly just tastes like candy you’d get while trick or treating on halloween as a kid.
you can usually find it at a gas station or a local grocery store, or you can try ordering it online. not sponsored!
and for protein shakes, the best tasting one IMO is probably fairlife, there’s a 42g protein one so that covers a huge chunk of your daily protein intake! you can order it on amazon, but it’s also in gas stations or grocery stores. let me know if you try these out!

Very hard session today. I really didn't want to go to the gym today, was looking for any discomfort to use as an excuse to call it quits. Had to tell my inner bitch to shut the fuck up and lift the goddamned weights.
The days that are the hardest are the ones that matter most.

Dear diary,
I always feel better after workout and I seem to have stabilized at current weight so I'll give it a month or so and if haven't lost further weight I may just have to accept and make peace with where at weight related. As I don't think I can adjust what I am doing further in hopes of losing more weight.
Hopefully at the end of February my body will look closer to a model's as to be honest I have a few sexy swimsuits I want to buy but won't do so until I can feel better about how look and weight as well.
Sometimes I wonder why I mentally torture myself by looking at expensive items like I can't help I have expensive tastes but still. At the same time I find window shopping can be mood lift to just look at all the cute and pretty items as well.
It's horribly foggy out today like the setting of some horror film and imagine most will stay indoors given the option so you know that just makes me want to get out more.
Also I must say I know we've all heard it before but stretching before workout is important and not just something for fitness enthusiast or older people to do.
I found that out the hard way nothing like potentially pulling your muscle cause you overworked yourself to force you to take it easy and of course stretch more before workout.
I did feel better after completing it tho waiting and taking time to rest was necessary it was also annoying.
So if you wanna avoid unessacery interruptions during workout do yourself a favor and stretch before starting sets.
I feel like I should get a good girl and medal or reward here for resisting sweets despite being super into them.
They say you are what you eat.... well I feel pretty much like a bunny these days given my diet and how snack on vegetables etc.
I so want to go get an ice cream tho or some candy. Like just for a sec pretend to be a child again and eat candy while watching a movie of course that would lead to breakouts.
Thanks acne like I dont have enough self conscious issues just add to it ~

What's your usual gym workout? Or do you alternate muscle groups?
oh um i don't alternate muscle groups bc i feel like that taxes me in a bad way and it's esp rough on my knee. so i usually have a set schedule, 5 days a week and use my punching bag over the weekends.
*5k on the elliptical *bicep curls; 7.5kg; 20 reps; 10 sets each side
*shoulder presses; 10kg; 20 reps; 10 sets *elbow planks; 5 1 minute planks
*sumo squats; 100
*dumbbell rows, but with a bar; 10kg; 20 reps; 5 sets each side
*elevated side squats w one leg fully extended on a hip-level box/shelf; 20 reps; 5 sets each side
*lunges, but with one leg on an elevated surface behind me; 20 reps; 5 sets each side *leg lifts; 30 reps; 5 sets
*calf raises; 50 reps; 5 sets
*bridges; 40 reps; 5 sets
*curtsy lunges; 20 reps; 5 sets each side
*bench press; 50kg; 20 reps; 5 sets
on weekends i usually stick to my punching bag plus running 10k on the elliptical bc i hate cardio and i need to get it in somehow.

Workout Wednesday
Whenever you’re lifting weights in a standing position, always keep your knees slightly bent. This can help reduce stress on the lower back.

tips for starting your fitness journey
─────────♡──────────
find workouts you actually enjoy
you don’t have to do exercises you don’t like! don’t be afraid to try different things. if you don’t like weight training, try pilates. if you don’t like pilates, try other types of body weight exercises. if you don’t like that, try yoga. go for walks if you enjoy doing that. exercising doesn’t have to feel like a chore. there are so many different types of exercise out there, try different things until you find what you like.
don’t go overboard right away
know your limits. if you haven’t been active in the past, it isn’t realistic to expect to be able to work out 7 days a week for an hour each day. i can tell you firsthand, you don’t want to push your body further than it can go. that’s how you injure yourself. start off slow!
losing weight isn’t everything
try to have non-physical goals. if you focus too much on changing how your body looks, it can become unhealthy very quickly. losing weight is a major goal for a lot of us, but it shouldn’t be the only thing you’re doing this for, so try your best not to focus on that part too much.
don’t depend on the scale
if losing weight is a big goal for you, know that the scale doesn’t tell the full story. if you’re working out, chances are, you’re gaining muscle. since muscle weighs more than fat, you may not see a major difference in your weight on the scale, but it’s not because you’re not progressing. if you want to measure your progress, try progress photos and measurements.
create a realistic schedule
going along with not going overboard, create a realistic schedule. know what you will actually be able to do and the amount of time per day you will be able to dedicate to exercise, and schedule it in. consistency over intensity!
have positive inspiration
it’s always easier to do something new when you have inspirations to look up to. however, be mindful of who you look up to. make sure you’re looking to healthy role models that will positively impact your mindset and journey.

workout routine pookie?
get on the floor, do pushups until you drop, wear wireless earbuds and play some hype music if that helps, rinse repeat, also go for lots of walks/runs/jogs (i kinda stopped for the winter but) and then just eat lots of protein like chicken rice, then buy protein shakes and bars and then boom you'll probably see noticeable results after a month

On days where you're so mentally or physically exhausted it's still important to show up and do something, anything, the bare minimum, enough to say that you put in the effort.
Sometimes when all you have is 20% to give, giving that 20% is giving your 100%. Don't let your pursuit of perfection and lofty goals stop you from showing up when you're down.

Dear diary,
I think I may up my reps next week and see how that effects potential weight loss. Also if you are curious according to various articles cleanses don't actually help you lose body fat just water weight which is why a vast majority of medical professionals won't recommend it for long term use as an approved method for weight loss.
Now the following is only my opinion not an expert. I think if you are dieting or eating healthy and working out adding cleanses to routine is beneficial. Will you lose a significant amount of weight? Probably not although what you lose will vary as weight loss varies by individual and situations etc.
It can make you *feel* lighter or like you weigh less afterwards and you do lose some weight, not a lot but when you want to weigh less every little bit helps.
Of course it should be noted during the process you may feel like your dying from the inside but you aren't it's just part of the process. Also no you wouldn't build up an immunity to the pain that may accompany it or at least not in my experience.
Keep in mind maintaining that weight will be more difficult as your body naturally likes to keep water weight but I think it may be possible to stay that weight or at least get to it with adjustments to diet, workout and cleanse routine. Although personally don't have the exact equation figured out yet I don't see a problem with doing cleanses as long as you aren't stupid about it.
Can you do it daily? Of course but you probably want to wait a day or two before doing another cleanse.
I was reading about a girl who just naturally had a super high metabolism so she only weighed 80 and could literally eat whatever she wanted and not gain weight. Of course she was happy and I knew I should be happy for her but honestly I was just jealous. I'd live to be 80 but at this point I'd settle for 87 or 84.
If cosmetic surgery wasn't so expensive I'd probably try to get a boob job. I. realized while looking through clothing magazines with models that the reason the model looked good in a style I liked was yes partly her weight and proportions but also her boob size. I know no matter how much I work at getting down to less weight and trying to reduce waistline that one thing I can't change no matter how much effort of dieting and exercise is my boob size.
I think that realization made me feel a little down cause realizing a style you like just doesn't suit your body type is a little upsetting and disappointing especially since know can't do anything to physically change that.
It's things like this that really do just make me not want to go out and interact with other people. I mean you may think am being vain or whatever, but reality is most prejudge people on thier appearance it's why that saying of how first impressions matter.
Of course personality is more important and we all as humans recognize this but that doesn't stop people from judging and liking someone for their appearance as a main thing.
Why go out when I know I am just not attractive and why try to get clothing styles I like but may not work for my body? Life feels so complicated sometimes.

I like doing quick at home workouts especially on days where I have to stay on the computer for most of the day.
These are some of the YouTube channels I’ll follow routines from.

Workout Wednesday
By working out with weights regularly, you increase your lean muscle mass, which burns calories at a much higher rate than fat does.

🎀 Femmation Fine Challenge 🎀
Tumblr media
It's time to clear our minds and get in shape!
I want to open up a 60-day challenge that everyone can join in on.
Official start date: August 1st, 2023
Click here to join the Discord community
If you see this after the start date, please feel free to attempt the challenge and join the discord group!
Mental:
No social media (no *fun* accts, business is fine but don't abuse it)
No drinking
Reading at least 10 pages of any fun book.
Reading at least 5 pages of a self-help book and/or listening to a motivational podcast
30 minutes of outside time
Journaling before bed (can be done digitally or with paper/pencil)
Physical:
Running/walking 1-3 miles every day. Progression is key! If you cant start by running, then walk but you should aim to start running eventually. Listen to your body.
Doing a body workout at least 5x a week
Remaining in a calorie deficit (calorie surplus if you are focused on gaining weight)
Cup of spearmint/peppermint tea before bed
Cup of Pure Cranberry Juice
Social:
No clubbing or similar social settings (birthdays/holidays are fine)
Starting a meaningful conversation with two strangers a week. This typically works best while doing hobbies so you guys have a common ground (ex. the gym/ whole foods/running). Don't force it and make it weird... if someone seems uninterested, leave it alone.
No entertaining men who DO NOT MAKE YOU A PRIORITY. If you've ever had to ask yourself "Does he like me?", leave him alone.
Stop talking to ANYONE you get bad vibes from (friends AND family) as much as you can.
This challenge is meant to push you but do not feel bad if you are not able to follow every single guideline. Work with what YOU have and do what YOU can. I tried to keep everything pretty much free, outside of the pure cranberry juice and mint tea. A gym membership is optional and you can always get books at the library/youtube.
+ I will be sending recommendations for podcasts/meals/books/etc on the discord chat... I encourage you to do the same.
I know it seems like a lot but trust me, if you are consistent... YOU WILL SEE RESULTS.
Tumblr media
Starting in August, I will be filming the challenge on youtube if you are looking for extra motivation.
