I think Wyll is prettier than Astarion. There I said it. Astarion is more interesting certainly but mainly because Wyll is easier to look at. I just kick my legs and giggle whenever he's on screen. Mesmerized by him. Cannot tear my eyes away type shit.

“The Enemy doesn’t care if he traps you in godless rule-breaking or godless rule-following, as long as you’re trapped and godless, he has succeeded.”
A quote from my pastor in a sermon on the dangers of legalism. Licentiousness and legalism are both dangers we face if we aren’t making Jesus our everything. If we try and only accept Him as Savior, but not as our Lord and Master, we are going to fall into one of these two traps.
Don’t do it. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that because of God’s grace, there are no rules. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that to keep yourself from sinning, you need to make more rules that aren’t there for us in scripture.
Make Jesus your everything. Follow Him, love Him as you should, and you’ll stay on the straight and narrow.
Don’t focus on the fact that the path is narrow. Rejoice in the fact that the gate is open at all. For we could do nothing to deserve that, and yet He loved us anyways, and made a way.

Titus 3:4-5 (NKJV) - But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

sorry this is the contrarian in me but I think james roach is being too like. Complacent and ass patty towards fandom on twitter. It reads as him having no spine or like ...story integrity. Cares more abt soothing the twitter hoard and fandom drama than telling a story.

been playing bits and pieces of horizon forbidden west! game's pretty as hell
#horizon forbidden west#photo mode#my edits#yannow. it got me thinking too. the npc fidelity in this game is off the fucking shits. never seen anything like it#even secondary dialogues are leaving all the competition in the dust. it's an insane level of work#major burnout red flags for sure. but also maybe talking about engines as specialized tools instead of ubiquitous ones isn;t so bad?#i mean there's definitely trends. ramming down RPGs down frostbite's throat has never worked well#while decima is tearing up the open worlds and tech fidelity quotas like nbd even on prev gen#is it really about implementation at this point#maybe some engines just. work best for certain types of hard goals. and choosing that right is what matters#i pkayed this after ragnarok and that game looks embarassing next to hfw. and I'm not even saying it flippantly. I stand by what i've said#shorter games less scope lower fidelity etc. for healthier dev teams. but this can be a scalability tell tale? maybe using something#like decima can mean an easier time for a standard EA dev cycle *without* hitting these insane fidelity goals. just thinking out loud#cause forever salty about frostbite. probably wrong but hey! I am on a blogging website famous for its phobia of deeper contexts#or maybe playing as aloy gave me that stupid self confidence juice#the way she bulldozes into delicate foreign policies with nothing but her ego and hutzpah really proves that whiteness is alive and well#in whatever variant of post-post-apocalypse this story is set into. they better interrogate her issues cause otherwise this plot will like#fizzle out under the weight of her self-righteousness lmao

Aren't the villains just as dismissive? Tbh I don't think there is any way of getting through to the villains even if they shown empathy. I hope I'm wrong though but this is the final arc and nobodies stance has changed and I don't see it changing but fingers crossed that things will change but I think there needs to half way meeting between both sides before things begin moving forward if it does.
It's true that the villains aren't stepping down from their points, but it's not on them to do that. The villains are not the ones responsible for the social injustice of their system. They are canonically a minority that the HPSC has repeatedly tried to silence with state-sanctioned assassinations.
And while it's also true that there needs to be a middle ground somewhere (the villains cannot be saved so long as they keep killing and the heroes can't save so long as they kill their targets), please note that the ones actively seeking a dialogue here are the villains.
Dabi's broadcast was aimed at people thinking more critically about the blind trust they put in heroes. He wanted them to ask heroes for more accountability in his stead, because he knew heroes would never listen to him. He didn't just want justice for himself or he would've simply killed Endvr. He wanted a fairer society to stop people like Endvr from doing what he did for two decades and getting away with it.
Shigaraki made a whole speech on the battlefield of the first war about how heroes constantly trample over the individuals for the sake of an abstract greater good. He addressed how thinking only of the masses creates pockets of evil under the heroes' noses. Shigaraki's whole shtick is that he was kidnapped and groomed by a supervillain because he was left wandering the streets for days, bloodied and traumatized, and the heroes of his neighborhood had so many bigger fishes to fry that they never noticed he needed help too.
And though we might argue that as an adult he's now vowed to cause indiscriminate destruction without dialogue because that's what AFO groomed him for, we can also argue that when Shigaraki is not directly under his abuser's influence, he makes choices that show us he actually does want that dialogue. Remember, he seeked out Deku at that mall and explained his whole villain manifesto to him. He told Deku all about how their society functions on this search for an abstract greater good and ignores individual in immediate danger. And he demonstrated it, too. He had deadly fingers on Deku's throat and no one blinked twice or stepped in to investigate, because "heroes would deal with it". He wanted Deku to acknowledge this. This is such a hangup of his that he brings it up again in the war arc as well. And no has given him an appropriate response still.
Then there's Toga, and she's the one who most clearly proves this. The heroes' argument is that they can't listen to the points presented to them because the villains hurt their friends. So long as the villains don't own up to their crimes, they say, that sours any good argument they might've had. Which is hypocritical as hell. The heroes also killed Toga's best friend and refused accountability for it. In fact, they let Hawks stay a hero.
Yet, despite all this, Toga was still able to put her grief in a box and set it aside for ten minutes, and seeked out Uraraka to attempt a dialogue anyway. A villain, who the heroes keep referring to as an immature, hedonistic and selfish freak, had more emotional maturity than any of them. She went to Uraraka to understand what a villains' life is worth to heroes. Ochako's response confirmed her suspicion; to their society, Jin wasn't human enough to deserve compassion. His death served the greater good, so it doesn't matter if he left friends behind, if people cared about him. It doesn't matter if heroes hurt Toga's friends, but it's a death sentence if Toga hurts the heroes' friends.
So.
Why should the villains act less dismissive? They tried fitting in and it didn't work. They tried setting out a conversation with heroes and it also didn't work. What the heroes wanted from them is what hero society always wanted from any disturbance to the status quo—either take it in silence, or to get erased as a threat.
The villains are literally fighting for their lives here, meanwhile the heroes are just fighting to maintain their privileges. It's not even remotely a fair fight. That's why it's on the heroes to change their attitude first

I have a gender question for the cyberpunk IF!
Does Rider's sex have to be the same we select for Fury or can they be separate? I'm so excited! Identity crisis MC my beloved.
It will be generally assumed by other characters that Fury is cis -- but you'll have options to gradually change their gender expression throughout the course of that story. Starting with their hair, which can deviate from Rider's right off the bat. (The Initiative and Marik aren't pleased. With that.)

Anyone who says Sakura’s the heart and Sasuke’s the brain are bullshit. You know who’s the heart of Team 7? Sasuke “didn’t want to kill people under Orochimaru’s dictatorship; based all his goals around his grief over his family and desire for a better future; tried uplifting his teammates all the time in part 1; had to be literally brainwashed by the Cursed Seal to go with Orochimaru” Uchiha is and would’ve been the most grumpy, kind, kickass medic of all time and still should have burned Konoha to the ground. The whole team fell apart when he left!! Because he was their emotional core!!!
Ahaha, the brain? That’s Sakura “a match for Sasori of the fucking Red Sand’s poison skills; learned how to be a top class medic better than basically of Suna’s medical care in two goddamned years with no former training; answered all the questions in the Chunin exams correct without even cheating; noted to be more observant than a guy with the Sharingan” Haruno, who should have been Orochimaru’s evil scientist protege who kills Kabuto because he annoys her too much.
Idgaf about Naruto, he can go be pervy with Jiraiya or whatever.

You know what's funny to me?
AI companies are scrambling to not have to compensate artists and authors for the work their bots blatantly copy. Tiktok just lost thousands of songs from their libraries because they refused to pay out fairly. Spotify is giving pennies - or nothing at all - to the musicians on their platform. Actors and writers went on months-long strikes just to get basic royalties from streaming services.
But do you know who has always paid for content fairly, and oftentimes more than the average person? Libraries. The places that loan out their books for free. If any organization should get a break on paying for content, it should be libraries. They're one of the only third places where people can go and not expect to spend money simply to exist. And yet who do we hear moaning about "if we have to pay for content, we can't afford to run our company"? The executives of billion-dollar organizations.
In short, fuck AI and any other company that doesn't want to pay for the products it uses to make billions of dollars. Maybe they should cut back on their damn avocado toast to afford it.

Cyrus was not ready for Trina because him trying to drop the "I protected you in prison" card with Spencer while Trina is lighting him up is killing me. I'm trying to figure out how Cyrus thought that was supposed to work. Did he expect SPENCER to side with him and talk down TRINA? Cause if that's the case, then he has misread the dynamics of this relationship immensely.
