When I first started following Infinite in early 2013, the scuttlebutt was that Sunggyu and Sungyeol weren't good friends: the former having to lean into his leader role (and maybe egotistically inclined to barking orders) and the latter too independent-minded to follow meekly (and maybe egotistically inclined to brattiness). Who knows how accurate that scuttlebutt was, but we believed it. After @queenofattolia and @heavensoft and I went to the New York concert that November I remember remarking that seeing Gyuyeol amicably chatting a couple times was one of the high points of an otherwise fraught experience. (To make a long story short, the entry and floor were poorly managed; concert-goers were pushing each other to the point of a few having to be escorted out to recover, and the gentlemen themselves being visibly upset.)
Among the many virtues of the video above is the brief sequence starting at 1:42, as Myungsoo and Dongwoo take center stage and the others scatter to the sidelines. Seeing it, I want to go back in time to my 2013 self and say: don't worry, the benefits are not all concentrated in the present, time is not going to ruin this entirely for you, there will be reasons to stick around.
