You might have heard someone talk about how they couldn’t lose weight because they were “under eating”. 🤔 ... How is that possible?!? - Well, technically it’s not that they were under eating... it’s that they were under eating some days which then drove them into “fuck it” mode on the weekends. 😬 ... If you eat more calories on a daily basis you are less likely to go into fuck it mode and lose all control when you so much as come within 20ft. Of something you crave. - Weekend calories still count 🤣 ... It is so common for people to feel like their daily calorie goal is “too high” and if they eat that much they will surely start gaining weight. 🤔 ... I can’t tell you how many women I have worked with that are terrified to eat over 1200 calories. Why Portion Control for Weight Loss is Crucial.
  Portion control for weight loss is important
 Why?
 Because at some point, you’ll need to do it.
  Having lower calorie foods is great
 Everyone should implement them.
 I have even written on such foods on other blogs before.
 Because they are lower in calories and will help reduce weight
 And aid in weight loss.
 But at some point, you have to get used to portion control.
 Now, this can be said for people who are even in shape or considered fit or,
 At their ideal weight, they enjoy.
 Even for myself, I LOVE sweets.
 Growing up in an Italian home you tend to come across
 Finely and wonderfully baked sweets every now and then
 And if you don’t be careful that weight can creep up on you
 But this applied even further to people who are severely overweight.
 Portion control is needed.
 If you just go on and have 1 plate of dinner
 Then 2 plates
 And then move on to a third.
 Your calories will rise
 Which will keep you out of a deficit.
 So As I have said many times before,
 It's important to stay in a deficit so you lose weight
 And how do you do that?
 Well, some might say you can use a BMR equation to get an idea of your BMR.
 And this tends to give a decent idea, but it isn’t accurate.
 And it can also severely drop a person who is highly overweight’s calories too much.
 And if you drop calories too drastically you will generally relapse and end up eating
 A lot of calories again and not lose any weight.
 So, the best way to go about this is,
 To eat lower calorie-dense foods and control your portions for each meal.
 Also, eat satiating more foods with your meal such as higher protein foods and certain carbs.
 And limit your food intake to one plate.
 This doesn’t mean if you get hungrier later you can’t have a low-calorie snack or some fruit.
 But for now, you want to get into the habit of training yourself to control portions.
 And as you do this the weight will come off over time
 And down the road when you are in a better-weighted situation,
 You can play around with your calories
 As in the future, you would have not only lost weight
 But most likely added on muscle which requires more calories to sustain.
 It still doesn’t mean you can always go off and eat whatever you want
 But there is more room for meals and snacks you like.
 So if you are severely overweight,
 And the more overweight you are
 Portion control for weight loss is important.
 Depending on your size it doesn’t have to be applied so strictly but everyone’s case differs.

Men have more muscle, especially in the upper body, and since muscle burns more calories than fat, men have a faster metabolism—5 to 10% faster to be exact. You can blame (or thank!) testosterone for the double standard. Estrogen has its perks (it preps the body for childbirth and boosts libido), but it's not doing women favors on the weight loss front. Not only do women have a higher percentage of body fat than men—usually 6 to 11% more—but researchers at the University of New South Wales found that estrogen reduces women's ability to burn energy after eating. Meaning, we're better at holding onto that fat, too. Unfortunately, when it comes to emotional eating, women win. Researchers at Brookhaven National Laboratory found that when primed with the sight and smell of pizza and cake, men were much better at turning off their cravings while women fixated on their favorite foods, even after being told to think of something else. Homemade drinks to lose belly fat? I don’t think so
  I have written about this before and I will continue to do so
 Because of the misinformation and stuff out there that isn’t true
 And home remedy drinks or teas breaking down fat as one of them
 There are no homemade drinks to lose belly fat
 They don’t exist.
 You can’t drink water loaded with lemon juice and lime zest with honey,
 And expect it to cause weight loss.
 It won’t happen
 It always comes back to the calories you are eating and intaking.
 So, if you are having the same amount of food every day,
 And you are moving the same amount every day.
 And you start taking this drink,
 You won’t lose weight.
 Why?
 Again, because it comes to the caloric intake you have every day and the energy you expend.
 So just taking this drink will not cause you to burn fat.
 The drink itself is not a magical power that you can ingest that moves within the body
 Which then directly targets body fat and melts it away.
 That would be amazing if that was the case.
 But it just isn’t true.
 Now let’s say you replace a meal with a drink such as this every day for the next 7 days or more?
 Then you will most likely lose weight.
 Because you have now dropped your calories and are technically in a deficit.
 But just know it wasn’t the drink itself that caused weight loss.
 It is the reduction in calories.
 This brings me back to my original point of it coming back to calories in versus calories out.
 Now let’s look at it from a different perspective.
 Let’s say you eat the same meals in a day.
 And now you started taking this supposed weight loss drink
 and you also start to exercise three times a week.
 You weightlift three times a week and add in 20 minutes of walking,
 Guess what,
 You are going to lose some weight.
 And again, it’s not because you were taking that supposed weight loss drink.
 It's because of the exercise.
 Even though your eating stayed the same,
 Because you have a higher weekly energy output through exercise.
 You will begin to lose weight.
 And even if you followed those protocols and didn’t have the drink,
 You still would have lost weight.
 So, what I want everyone to understand is that these drinks don’t do anything for you.
 They will do nothing more for you than what healthy eating will give you.
 Yet I have come across multiple people throughout my fitness career
 Get swayed into buying this stuff or following nonsense online
 Just because they want to lose weight and they figure this easy to do.
 And I’m here to tell you that if it sounds too good to be true,
 It’s because it is.
 You need to eat in a caloric deficit,
 Whether that’s through just eating low-calorie dense foods
 Or just making complete healthier choices because you,
 Don’t have a great nutrition regimen.
 But your eating is a major part.
We can’t eat like garbage and think these teas or drinks will,
 Do the work that we are supposed to be doing for ourselves.
 It comes down to a lifestyle change.
 You must stay committed if you want to see results.
 And realize that if you want to see the change you want to have,
 It's going to require you to put in a bit more work than just have a fit tea or drink.
 And realize that Homemade drinks to lose belly fat just don’t exist.
