I think the thing that feels really revolutionary about Gideon Nav's lesbianism is that she's not a lesbian in opposition to anything. She doesn't like women instead of men. It's just that her entire sexual world is female.

A lot of time having a gay character seems to necessitate a scene in which they confirm emphatically that they do not like the opposite gender. Gideon doesn't need to do that. She just talks about women all the time (and, lesbian character who is openly and unashamedly horny and actively pursuing women in general outside of once-in-a-lifetime romance, that's its own post entirely) and the absence of any mention of men makes it obvious that she's not interested in them.

And, as a queer person constantly having to explain WHY I don't want this or that, it's really refreshing to see a queer character who is so totally focused on what they DO want and not what they don't.

9 tips for summer out fit

There are plenty of ways to get your entire wardrobe ready for warm weather. The mornings are brighter and the days are longer, you might feel as though you have a little more pep in your step.

1. wear light - Colored Clothing : Choose white color and white dresses and button down shirts, which reflect, rather than observe, the sun's rays. The softness of pastels will keep you light and in trend. Pastels are go-to shades this summer, opposite light nude shades of pink and brown.On the contrary darker or black clothing absorbs more wavelengths, absorbing more heat, hence making the clothing warmer to wear. 2. opposite for sleeves or loose sleeves: When it comes to summer clothes, the goal is to have as much airflow as possible. You don't have to go fully strapless, but consider sleeveless camis and off-shoulder or puff sleeve blouses. Short sleeve button-ups are another good option. Sleeves can come in a variety of sleeves. 

3.Stay away from tight clothing: Loose-fitting clothing is your best bet for staying cool in the summer. Go for cropped, wide leg-pants, loose shirts, oversized blouses, dresses and skirts with room to breath. It is convenient to use the dryer for everything.  

4.Rely on dresses: Dresses aren't not for special occasions. A simple no- brainer trend that needs to stay forever for our comfort. A comfy summer dress is an easy option for days when you don't know what you wear. Summer is the perfect time to bring out your mind with dresses, rompers, and miniskirts, but it's okay  to go longer, too. Fancy is a podcast about dressing up. 

5.Choose breathable fabrics: It may not matter during the rest of the year, but you will definitely notice the difference between breathable fabrics and fabric that trap moisture during the summer. In general, tighter knits or weaves create less breathable fabrics, while more open knits or looser weaves will be more breathable than tight ones.

6.Stick to light colors: Work wear typically comes in dark colors like black and navy. For summers, try light colors instead: a white linen blazer, seersucker suits or light blue button-up shirt. When going neutral, stick to gray, beige and navy, which will bring out the color in you more effectively.

7.Try a one piece garment: Separates can get very warm in the summer. instead try a work appropriate one piece, like a jumpsuit or wrap dress.  

8.Upgrade your athleisure: Technical fabrics are typically moisture - wicking, but they are also  tight. Which is not great for summer. If you are a fan of athleisure, swap your usual black leggings and sweatshirts for colorful bike shorts and tank tops or  short sleeve crop tops. Even with the easing of travel restrictions and the opening of more establishments, home continues to be the center of our universe.

9.Ditch jeans:Denim is one of the heaviest fabrics. If you wear stretch jeans or skinny jeans, you may find them too warm for your summer style. Look for lightweight cotton or linen pants instead. If you must wear denim, option for wide leg jeans, which still allow for some air circulation.
