Here’s the explanation for fellow baby witches
The Full Moon is a lunar phase associated with using your power and energy and sealing intentions that were set on the New Moon, and that we have been actively working towards during the Waxing Moon.
It is around this time that indications of my intentions should start to show (and let me tell you—they're showing. I have a date next week. I also haven't experienced my usual heart palpitations when I'm in a situation that usually gives me social anxiety. I'm still working on my communication skills though).
However, these intentions won't be fully manifested until the next time the Full Moon is in the same sign the New Moon was in when i set these intentions (which is generally around 6 months).
The Full Moon is strongest in the three days leading up to it or on the Full Moon exact. I performed these two spells on the exact date of the Full Moon at night.
You can view the affirmations I used in these spells here. For each spell I used whichever correspondences I had available to support my intentions. Jasmine can be used for love and attraction, Sage is a general cleanser to remove negative energy that may be hanging over me. I only had an unscented pillar candle, so that's what I went with. I wanted to use a physical object that could be a reminder of my affirmations, so I used my favourite perfume right now, and a necklace my closest friend gifted me. I used tarot cards that supported my intentions too, being The Lovers (for obvious reasons) and Strength for inner courage and bravery. I used colour correspondences with markers I had available, but I was originally going to use red and yellow. Finally, I used the phrase 'love is mine' as a short reminder of all of my affirmations, and a star because I literally could not think of a short appropriate phrase.
I've unfortunately packed away everything I tend to use for spell work since I'm moving houses next week, so for spellwork, I'm having to make do with what I've got, which is very little. Not even a single crystal. The only reason I have incense is because I didn't tape that box shut yet. But it's no issue, because with witchcraft you use what you have. I generally am a maximalist though so it was a little weird for me.
Check out the other parts of this series!
Part 1 - Intentions. First post
Part 2 - Actions. Last post
Part 3 - Spellwork. Current post
Part 4 - TBA

Full moon weight loss spell
As I continue on my weight loss journey, here is another spell created to aid me on my quest.
two variations on this one, only major difference is the type of candle. either a yellow taper(represent the color of fat) or a figure candle(white or yellow) .
On the taper candle carve the number of pounds you wish to lose. Burn the candle by a window where the moon is visible if you can.
"By the light and power of the full moon, I will it that as this candle burns so may my excess fat melt away. As the moon wanes and disappears, so may my excess weight disappear.
As I say it, so mote it be."
Allow the candle to burn out on it's own.
You may wish to repeat this every full moon until you reach your goal weight.
***Variation***
Use a figure candle(white or yellow)
carve your name and birthday into the candle. On the top carve your current weight, on the bottom carve your goal weight.
(Use the same spell as above.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
****************
I hope that this spell will help you or inspire you to create your own variation. I do find that spells work best when you personalize them. You can change the colors of the candles to something that you find more symbolic, or anoint with oils or herbs.
+ Remember your fire safety rules and practice safe.
I was inspired by a book by James Duvalier

Lucifer Manifesting as Birds of Prey
Tumblr media
Today, Lucifer came to me as a bird of prey successfully capturing its prey for the second time. Each instance of it happening has been magical and powerful to witness.
The first time it happened was last year. I was writing out a ritual to do for/with Lucifer. Then, suddenly, out of the window, I saw a big bald eagle flying off with a whole fish in its talons. It was a majestic site, and the person I was with and I were both grateful for the experience.
Then it happened again couple of days ago. While that same person and I were driving around the countryside, we both saw a red-tailed hawk swoop down and fly away with a small brown animal in its talons. This is the second time Lucifer has manifested as a bird of prey successfully capturing prey. We both marveled at the sight and expressed our gratitude to see something so amazing.
Very recently, I did a couple of important rituals with Lucifer. I have a feeling that seeing the hawk successfully capture its prey and fly off with it is a sign that my rituals were successful. After all, I love birds, especially raptors, and seeing a bird of prey in action is always a powerful, moving experience for me.
Thank you, Lucifer, for appearing to me as a bird of prey twice. I am forever grateful for your presence in my life and in this universe.🖤
Has Lucifer ever appeared to you as a bird of prey? Has he sent a bird of prey to you as a sign? I’ve definitely experienced Beelzebub manifest as birds of prey, considering that he rules over all winged creatures, insects and otherwise. However, discovering this connection between Lucifer and birds of prey has me intrigued, and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar.

Daily, Weekly, & Monthly Quests
One thing I struggle with in my journey as a witch focused on self-healing and recovery is staying on top of stuff I know I'm supposed to do--something I need to do--for my health. Even trying to nail down exactly what I should be focusing on is a challenge sometimes.
That's why, about a year ago, I figured out to translate these tasks from irritating and exhausting "chores" into quests. I am always motivated to complete quests in games, so what's the difference? Why not make one like the other?
So I did!
Quest Log
I wanted to start by talking about tracking these quests, because I find that's one of the biggest parts of the battle. You need to be able to record and motivate yourself in a way that's easy, convenient, and generally appealing to you. For me, that looks like a modified Bullet Journal-esque tracker that I designed to suit my needs. I don't in any way suggest you copy my style exactly, but the ability to adapt something to be what you want is really powerful. Here is an example spread of how I track my quests.
Tumblr media
And here are some features I'd like to highlight:
Daily quests can change month-to-month
Monthly quests are always there, as a reminder (not in a separate place / on a separate page)
Easy visualization of your completion, streaks, and record
Easy integration into Bullet Journal or other productivity systems
Snapshots of the day (I use this space for very broad highlights such as Tarot Cards of the Day, holidays, etc.)
A month-long reflection, based on my tarot card for that month--drawn at the beginning of the year in my Year Ahead Spread. This month was the Devil oof
I reflect on this more as the month goes on, and fill out the space
A place to write down the 4 books I've finished this month (per my monthly goal)
Of course, I decorate the page differently based on my mood when I'm setting it up at the end of the previous month. Overall, the design and aesthetics are very cathartic to create, and a daily journalling reminder helps keep me on top of my quests, too.
Monthly Quests
Let's start at the top and work our way down. Monthly quests are larger tasks or goals that I'd like to see completed by the end of the month. For example, each month this year I aim to complete four books, including 2 non-fiction books (including one non-fiction about witchcraft). I'll record and reflect on them as I complete them.
I chose this goal because reading is something that makes me happy. It's calming and stimulating. It's easy to do on public transit and it's a habit I want to get into before bed to minimize phone time and help calm down my mind. It also helps me continue to grow and learn via non-fiction, because now that I've graduated university, I constantly yearn for more education that I feel I'm missing.
Monthly Quests should be attainable over a 4-week period. They should be larger, and have more of an impact on your life not just immediately but in the grander scheme of things. When choosing a Monthly Quest, figure out something that you can chip away at over time, something that isn't a monstrous task that you need to devote hours to at once. It should be something meaningful that you can reflect on.
Weekly Quests
Weekly Quests are things I like to do every week. These things keep me on top of health (mental and physical) needs as well as my personal interests. I have a long list of projects either in progress or just in the "ideas" phase, that I call the "Sometime List"--each week I like to snag one thing from this list and work on it. Ultimately this means I'm not overwhelmed by the sheer mass of things I "have" to do, but I also don't hide it away and never make any progress. All of these things are important to me but by prioritizing a different item each week I can cross things off it slowly but surely.
Daily Quests
Daily Quests are the bread and butter of this health/wellness/spiritual journey. They're the things I strive to complete every day, those daily tasks that help keep me afloat in the depths of depression or even just in a period of low motivation. By framing them as quests, I think of them as things to work towards ticking off--but if I don't manage to get them all, no biggie. There's always tomorrow.
That's a big problem with lofty new year's resolutions and the like, in my mind. You slip up once, and it's all over--you have to start from the beginning. So you might as well give up entirely. We're naturally programmed to think and feel that way. So instead of forcing ourselves to "make it work," we should be kinder to ourselves and give ourselves a little bit of a break. As long as it helps us mostly stay on top of our goals, then we're winning! The more you complete them, the easier it becomes over time--and the more you'll be able to complete.
And so on.
Here's a list of the Daily Quests I have set up for myself at the moment:
Exercise--I try to do at least 30 mins. of heart-rate increasing physical activity at least 5x/week
Time Outside--I try to get outside every day. Sometimes even that is hard, so this is flexible--some days I'll go on hour-long walks, others I'll just sit right outside my home and read in the fresh air
Plant Care--I care for my plants. Usually, this just means misting them, talking to them, because I don't want to overwater them
Writing--this is the hobby that's the most important to me, the one I really want to see success with, so I want to dedicate a little time to writing or editing every day
Witchcraft--I want to develop my craft and leverage it to help heal and improve myself, so I want to devote a little time to it every day, even if that's just caring for my servitors or drawing a single tarot card
Do a Kind Thing--exactly what it says on the tin. I believe the most powerful tool we have against the darkness of the world is kindness, and I want to remind myself of that by mindfully doing at least one small kind thing every single day
Notice how all of those quests are relatively small, achievable things? I only have one big hobby that takes up a big chunk of time (writing); the rest can be nestled into other tasks or fit in where I have a moment. And, again, if I miss a day here and there, no biggie.
But what if I start missing more than a day? What if I just can't stay on top of it?
Rewards
Motivation is hard for a lot of people to begin with. Mental illness, chronic pain, and other disabilities can sap people's energy and make it hard to stay on top of these things even when you know they're good for you. That's where tracking your work and rewards come in!
Everyone knows all good quests come with good rewards. Set yourself some milestones and assign a reward or bonus when you complete the requisite quest(s)!
Completed that big project that's been looming over you? Take yourself out for ramen!
Achieved 80% completion on your fitness goals? Celebrate with a ticket to the new movie you want to see?
Reached 30 XP (1 Daily Quest = 1 XP)? Go to that café across the street from work and get a doughnut or a latte!
Bonus points if your rewards are also self-care items. Remember, there are things that are healthy for the body, but also things that are healthy for the mind. This is a reward, after all, and it should be something that motivates you. Work towards it, and then take genuine joy and pride in the reward! You earned it, after all!
Honourable mention: I came across, and love, the blog @witchquests. Great little daily quests with excellent variety to work on both self-care and your practice simultaneously. Fun little exercises to dip into when you have the spoons.
Conclusion
Using regular "quests" instead of a never-ending to-do list has made me feel happier about my goals as well as made them more manageable. Like anything, it might not be for everyone. That's okay! Take what resonates and leave what doesn't. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

It's the way that I would cuss all of these bitches out if I was Lilli (Lilith)...
I may have made a mistake watching this before the original (still haven't watched the original btw), but the chemistry of their friendship was just so flat in this movie...
Like I really do feel like they ganged up on her because it's was easier to throw one person under the bus to make themselves feel better about what they contributed to the mess.
She was new, I really don't recall them explaining to her about the dangers of binding someone with a spell, and the way that they pressured her at first to join their coven and do spells, breaking into people's houses and shit, and performing magic on someone without their consent? She was literally only doing what she learned from them. And then they tossed her to the side when she needed their support when she was going through something so traumatizing...they were not good friends to her. I think that they just felt obligated to create a friendship with her because they were connected in some way.

Color: Tin-white, tarnishing quickly to dark gray, metallic
Streak: Tin-white
Other Information:
Two forms of Arsenic
Organic
This term simply means the arsenic compound contains carbon.
Inorganic
Research indicates that toxicity levels are higher and associated health effects are more severe with inorganic arsenic
Specific Gravity: 5.6 - 5.7
Fracture: uneven, brittle
Garlicky odor when heated (fumes are poisonous)
Melting Point: 1,502°F
Similar species: Antimony
Native, usually with some antimony, iron, nickel, silver, and sulfur
Arsenic is the 33 element on the periodic table. Its symbol is As
Arsenic’s name:
Arsenic gets its name from a Persian word for the yellow pigment now known as orpiment. For keen lexicographers apparently the Persian word in question Zarnikh was subsequently borrowed by the Greeks for their word arsenikon which means masculine or potent.
⚠️ Warning ⚠️
This is a highly hazardous mineral!
The following articles contain more information on the health risks of Arsenic.
Just in case you missed my post on Antimony, I feel that knowing how to identify the safe and unsafe rocks, minerals and crystals is important. I know people who have found hazardous minerals out in the wild near me which is why I feel that these are important even if you never come in contact with them.

Upcoming Pluto Retrograde
Tumblr media
✹ Retrograde
To say a planet is in Retrograde, an astrological term, means that in that specific time frame the planet in question seems to be moving backwards in the sky from our perspective on Earth.
Though the Planet isn’t astronomically moving backwards, its energy does affect us — as it changes direction or shifts in speed, what it rules will face changes, normally through challenges or confusion in our lives during the Retrograde.
*Fun fact: if you see a small R beside a planet name in your Natal Chart, that means that planet was in Retrograde when you were born).
✹ Pluto
Pluto’s influences over rebirth, transformation and power - it is connected with past lives as well as inherited and internal powers that the person has in regards to drestruction, and as such, transformation. Pluto rules a line that is between the fear of destruction of our own selves and the pursuit of our true longings — all in order to become something new through the destruction of the old.
Regency: Pluto is ruled by Hades, rules over Scorpio and Power. Due to that, it has power over matters of death and rebirth.
Associated with chaos and movement, related with happenings that shakes foundations to provoke change. It governs personal power, the one needed to break free of ties and find control and freedom in one’s self.
✹ Energy of Pluto Retrograde
In Retrograde, Pluto comes to show us our shadow sides — in this period we’ll have chances (subtle or not) to face aspects of ourselves and of our lives that, if faced correctly, examined and embraced, can have long-lasting positive effects.
The Retrograde here brings these facets forth, though times might be a little tough, remember that it will give us opportunity to reveal what needs to be corrected and revive positive aspects we might be looking for.

I got a rune reading today, two separate ones because I've never seen it and was honoured to be shown a demonstration with cards and dice, and the readings both reflected that I was in a transitional period in my life, confirmed that I was going the right direction, and said that I'm struggling with the urge to be still and to give up.
Very accurate.
I have an interest in tarot. I have an interest in the spiritual. I don't know how to access it. So, runes were pretty cool to see today!
I was vibrating in the shop. I felt so overwhelmed with energy - my whole body was charged.

Witchcraft in College
So, with college starting up for me in just a few weeks, I wanted to compile a list of the ways I plan to continue my practice during the ever-hectic time of college. A lot of these techniques are great also for witches who don't know how their roommates will feel about witchcraft and may want to keep it more on the DL
Tumblr media
🧘‍♀️Meditation & Journaling 🧘‍♀️ I'm incorporating meditation and journaling into my daily routine - they are scheduled in specifically so I don't let myself slack on the good habits I've built during summer. Meditation is incredibly helpful to tap into your intuition and inner power, as is journaling
🪐 Tarot Readings 🪐 I'm bringing one or two of my favorite decks to college to have with me. Tarot is great because the decks are highly portable, and you can store them away in a drawer or use them as decor
🌙 Crystals 🌙 When I moved to college, I didn't know what my roommates would think of me bringing crystals to put around the room, but I got really lucky bc they were totally fine with it! If you're going incognito for the semester, just saying that the crystals are pretty and not diving into explanation can be a good way to keep your true intention with them hidden (if that's what you feel you need to do). Crystals can be used in rituals or meditation as well
🪴 Herbs 🪴 One of my favorite quick meals you can make in a dorm is oatmeal. I top mine with fruit, usually apples or bananas which just HAPPEN to go great with cinnamon! Cinnamon is my go-to herb, not only for its magical properties but also bc it is super versatile and yummy! I top my oatmeal with it and put it on top of my hot chocolate/coffee in the colder months. 10/10 herb. If your living situation allows you to cook more than mine does (I have a mini fridge and a microwave) then you have even more opportunity for using herbs in your magic!
💫 Spell Jars 💫 This is something you can do in advance - make some spell jars to bring with you! Again, the excuse can be that they're pretty if you don't want to get in the magical side to them. Plus they are small and transportable, which is great when traveling and living in a small space with others
🕯 Candles/Herbal Cleansing 🕯 Just be careful of the smoke detectors!
- - -
With college witchcraft, a lot of time less is more! You're moving into a small, shared space, so condensing your practice so you can do the most magic with the least amount of physical supplies is key!

Crazy
I think I'm crazy. Since yesterday I'm hearing things and I don't know where these sounds come from.
Yesterday was a piano, with a lovely melody, but my pc had the earphones plugged and I was in the kitchen, and the radio was playing another kind of song, with another rhythm.
And today, in the middle of my economy class, while everyone was with their microphone off, I hear a whistle through my right ear. My parents were in the same room as me, and neither of them seem to be doing the sound, and the TV didn't have enough volume to be heard so clearly, and in the case it had, wouldn't hear it only through my right ear.
I remember trying to contact Apollo, but instead, I think I contacted Hermes, it's great, but know these sounds are confusing me
