After every (American) election, there's always a bunch of posts going around exposing psyops or pointing out how there were posts on this site designed to get people to not vote blue.
And in the lead up to every (American) election, there's a bunch of posts being reblogged that are clearly either psyops or manipulative posts that tell people it's perfectly okay for them not to vote at all.
Like, there's history going back years on this hellsite where the alt-right intentionally tried to undermine or indoctrinate people so they get/stay in power. History a lot of y'all know of or were even there for and saw go down in real time.
But sure, be uncritical of what you reblog, don't bother looking at the source website, or just put things out there without caveats or nuance.

queer representation peaked with revolutionary girl utena because the show manages to deliver a nuanced portrayal of so many varied queer experiences through its characters without once restricting or rigidly defining them. it’s a show about adolescence— for that reason i think the one aspect of queer experience it misses out on is that of elder queers, adult queers, queers who don’t realise they’re queer until later in life, though you could argue the majority of the cast’s inability to reckon with their queer identity alludes to that— where none of its characters are able to define or recognise themselves as…… whatever. they’re all ‘up to interpretation’ but in this amazing flexible capacity where i can say ‘all of the main cast are in some way trans’ and someone else can say ‘utena is a cis woman’ and both can be fascinating interpretations of the text. revolutionary girl utena is a show that touches every single queer person in giving them something to see themselves in, but it is also an exercise in seeing the ‘other’, and therefore encourages you to challenge what you would be most comfortable seeing; and i think in our age of hellscape discourse, the queer community could really do with a dose of ‘i don’t understand the nuances of your identity but that doesn’t matter because my understanding has no bearing on your existence or right to respect’. again, respect and compassion in the absence of understanding is a core value that the show encourages. ikuhara you genius. i love gay people

how and why is there discourse about whether or not certain queer identities exist/if people should be allowed(???) to use them. why is "people know their own identity better than you ever could, and they're the only one who get a say on what they are" such a tough concept to grasp
i think if you find yourself offended by the label someone uses (especially if they're a stranger) or think it invalidates your own, it's a good idea to look inside yourself and question why that may be. more often than not, it's a result of insecurity or uncertainty of your own identity (or many other things, but i won't make a whole list here). whatever reason it is, until you resolve it, you shouldn't take it out on people for having an identity you don't understand
many have said it before but it's worth saying over and over. infighting only helps our oppressors. conservatives don't care if you're a cis gay or a xenogender aegosexual aplatonic lesbian, they hate all of us either way. trying to fit in by going for people who are easier targets for them isn't gonna help you, it'll just alienate you from your own community, and you're never gonna please them. the momentary rush you get from hearing you're not like "one of /those/ gay people" is not worth it and is gonna do more harm in the long run, i assure you
also, it is important to me to say this, but having some less than nice kneejerk reaction caused by confusion about an identity you don't understand doesn't mean you're a bad person or anything. as long as you aren't mean to that person, and you take a second to think smth along the lines of "wait a minute, this isn't any of my business" after having said reaction, you're good 👍 a lot of reflexive reactions we have to things are ingrained into us simply by. well. living in a society 🤡 and you're not terrible for having those thoughts. it's your actions that matter, and your second thought (the "wait, why did i just think that?") is more defining of your actual character and morals than your reflex. i know that having thoughts like this, even tho they're unwanted, can very easily make one spiral, so it's important to me that whoever needs to hear this knows this doesn't make you a bad person 🙏 you're good, keep taking actions to be good, accept other people even if you don't understand them, and you're on the right track :)

ik it's like the ultimate losing game to give a shit about shipping poll drama but the dozen or so white people on that merthur vs. sns poll claiming reverse racism genuinely depress me like. okay i see i see you start losing a fandom poll after some comments of "don't let those white boys win" or whatever and begin suggesting the existence of an alternate world where some kind of systematic oppression against white people exists on tumblr that can be triggered to make them lose fandom polls. like the white fragility of it all being so hurt by the (indisputably accurate) claim that white men are afforded disproportionate attention in fandom spaces (not even getting into real life) that you start invoking "racism" in order to avoid ever thinking critically about your own privilege and interests in any way whatsoever....

Less of a question and more of a personal thank you! (Sorry if this is a confusing mess to read)
For about the past year I’ve really been into the idea of wearing more feminine clothing, it started out with soft pink clothes and such and I’ve even tried out some dresses while I was out but i was never confident enough to buy it for myself to wear around other.
That was until recently, when about a month or so ago a friend of mine introduced me to your artworks, specifically ur Prince Link and Knight Zelda stuff (11/10 stuff IMO). But through that I found your “Modern AU”(?) link and Zelda chillin out in modern clothes together, and seeing Link in skirts and dresses and non-traditional clothing was just like YES! Omg so much yes! And it was then that I realised that… I want to wear that.. i want to be comfortable enough to wear that. And thus starts my journey of self exploration and crushing my genders norms. I went out earlier in the week and bought myself a skirt! And oh god I love it! my friends have been super supportive of me and my family as well! (I’ve got this nice combo of a short skirt and a hoodie and I’m loving it!)
TL;DR: your artwork has helped me discover what it means to be comfortable in my own skin and with what I wear around that skin. thank you, honestly :)
Yours truely,
Some cis het loser dude ^-^
hi. wow. i don't know if i can quite express how much this means to me lmao. as someone who also just recently (within the past few years) started dressing the way they really wanted to i TOTALLY understand just how amazing a feeling it is and the idea that i might have helped kickstart that journey in someone else is. wow. lol. i dont usually think about like. my art in terms of IMPACT especially since i only ever draw link legendofzelda but this. makes me rlly happy lmao im so glad i helped you get here in some way!!! pls keep wearing skirts theyre literally the best article of clothing on this planet
