To say Tataru was excited to meet one of these "internet" friends in person for the first time was perhaps a bit of an understatement. Hinata, in particular, was someone Ernastral had spoken highly of even before Tataru had joined the site, and despite only having spoken to her briefly herself, Tataru could see where Ernastral was coming from. And apparently she had a whole realm to herself, that she was willing to invite them to for a simple social call? It was certainly very kind of her.
Tataru made sure she and Erna had everything they needed for this little social visit. Tataru had made a fairly simple charm bracelet as a thank you for the invitation, because it seemed only polite to bring some sort of thank you gift. Ernastral had brought something as well, an "earring" meant to be slipped over a horn, crafted from silver and studded with pretty precious gems. (Hopefully it will fit over Hinata's horns.)
"You did remember to pack your gift for her, right?" Tataru asks, arching an eyebrow at the often-forgetful Roegadyn.
"Yeah, it's right here." Erna crouches down and opens the flap of her gifted pouch, showing Tataru that yes, the earring has been safely tucked away.
"Alright, then let's get going!"
Ernastral secures the pouch with a nod. She scoops Tataru up, eliciting a startled squeak from the much smaller Lalafell. Sure, she trusts her dear friend to be careful with her, but it's not often that anyone has the audacity to pick up a Lalafell.
Tataru has enough dignity not to squirm (too much) as Ernastral casts her cross-universe teleportation spell and teleports them over to Hinata's place to meet up with her.

Eyyyy. Welcome to my small corner of the Tunglr blogosphere. I'm your gracious, amazing, beautiful host Sato. Hold your applause! 👏
That joke really doesn't work when they're no room for someone to chuckle, so you can't reply "but that's not the punchline?"
(°ー°〃)
Anywaaay, I'm Sato. Nice to meet you all and hopefully in good health. And I guess my icebreaker question based on my recent activity would be "what is your favorite meme as of right now? And show one!"
Mine currently are creative "solutions" to the Trolley Problem:

@murasakiibb replied to your post “I should say by the way that it's not that I don't...”:
[witchofthescions] If crystals were always vulnerable to bad vibes I don't think our carbuncle summons would be as sturdy as they are, haha!
Honestly... my life would be so much easier if I could set out a few crystals that are vulnerable to bad vibes. Wear a bracelet of quartz and it shatters because it senses that people want to kill me so bad? I leave the room! I might not know the specifics but I'll know that I should leave!
What are carbuncles, by the way? I've heard of them in passing through Cloud, but he says a lot of things without really remembering to elaborate, and sometimes I forget to ask.

A Lilium is a branch that bears no fruit.
Its existence signifies that the branch has no future past a certain point.
Maybe once upon a time the world she saw would have been hers.
But not now.
Because...
---
She brings a dog panting weakly over to the makeshift shelter. It is sick and malnourished. It is chasing a hope by coming here, but she cannot heal it. She does not have that power. But Mads does. And with open arms and a glow of light, Mads pulled the dog away from the brink.
There were many little and many big things Nata did for her. Perhaps one of the few that showed her care and consideration at the beginning when she did not understand the web site. The biggest memory was her visit. She still remembers a pair of hands - even across a distant time - guiding her arms and legs carefully, teaching her how to move steadily like the earth beneath her feet. Perhaps it is the first time she experienced to truly want - to enjoy an activity together with someone else - and Nata obliged her.
A fake world of blocks and villagers and redstone. An alternate world she actually liked - not like Mac Anu or the darker world the dream inn would move to. She watches as the two brothers Mokuba and Seto create their village and castle slowly but surely. Having fun creating. She reaches out wondering what that must be like, and the two accept her with open arms.
Erna, her sister, her guardian, and she slowly read through the books Erna brought - the books Erna brought to help save her friends. They spent a lot of time together trying to understand what had happened - what had grabbed her friend's souls - along with Crowley who had read the books elsewhere too. A team effort from everyone. It is difficult for her though because she does not understand the magic. But Erna was patient and would happily explain the parts she did not understand - which was all of it.
On the other side of Dream existed a place called Mac Anu, filled with covetous eyes. She could feel the lurking danger - the bad intentions - and the innate rejection of this world when it came to her. She did not go outside. What made things tolerable was that Kris was also here. During the times Kris would come visit, Mac Anu felt less scary, knowing Kris was by her side.
Whenever she had something on her mind, Crowley was always willing to lend an ear. She can sense the care she had for her and for the Liliums that were both her and yet not her. Little bits of advice such as "please don't eat the bombs" and the small gifts she received from the Liliums - whatever was left anyway - all held the bee lady's affection - something that deserved to be cherished.
---
From her friends. From her family.
She perhaps learned the most important skill for a human to have.
How to ask for help.
----
The blonde tore a part of her shirt's collar with her grab - but then immediately pulled away as if scalded.
That was because of the voice that thundered from the school wall.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" her sister yelled as she dropped from the wall nearby with a thud, not even bothering to climb down. Her other friends peek out from the top and begin their climb down, Hannah looking red with fury and Aeria looking like the cat that caught the canary.
The four girls holding onto her let go of her immediately, but that does not spare them from her sister's anger. In a flurry of blows, they are all downed and gasping in pain. One of them is laying in a puddle of their own puke.
Emily looks like she swallowed proverbial dung. She is also like a deer too, too scared to move thinking it would attract her sister's attention. However, when her sister walks over and just glares at her, she seems to find her courage.
"Y-y-yeah that's right. You know I know your secret. If you dare lay a hand on-"
Slap.
Emily stumbles backwards from the slap her sister delivered to her face. Blood drips from the corner of her lips and her nose. Emily opens and closes her mouth like a fish like another girl once upon a parallel time.
Lev then levels a glare at Aeria who had finally ran over with Hannah.
Hannah meanwhile came over to her with her blazer and placed it over her exposed neck while pulling her away from everyone else.
Lev nods approvingly at the ravenette before turning her head towards Aeria.
"Go kryffin say your piece already!" Lev growled out impatiently.
"Geez. Fine. Fine," Aeria raised her hands in surrender before turning her head towards Emily. "Hey. Hey Emily. Fancy meeting you here! Do you know what my favorite word in the world is?"
Aeria then held up a hand when Emily opened her mouth, "No. Don't answer that. It's a rhetorical question." The girl imitates a drumroll noise by trilling her tongue.
"Bdrdrdrdrdrdr!"
"It's... Blackmail!"
She held her phone up to Emily's face.
"Strip her down and leave her in the shed! We'll see how calm you are when you're discovered in the morning!"
Emily paled and grabbed at the phone.
Slap.
The other girl is sent reeling to the ground, her sister standing above her.
"God. This is so great," Aeria crowed, "You didn't even notice Lils wearing a button camera the entire time," the short-haired blonde continued while hugging her phone, "I got everything in high definition. You really thought she was gonna stupidly meet you alone? Lils got us, you fu..!"
Hannah is already pulling her away out of earshot and towards the dorms.
"Come on. Between the number one delinquent and the number one swindler, they'll make sure Emily and her group won't bother you ever again."

@witchofthescions has replied to your post:
You know, this whole idea just sounds so... weird to me. Like, what is "Exotic" even supposed to mean here? Exotic compared to who? Who's the baseline here, and why are they considered the base as opposed to anyone else?
I'd imagine the baseline would be unable to command any non-Faith-based supernatural abilities, like magic or psionics. You can't use magic or psionics if you don't already have the innate ability, and you can't really detect the innate gift before it's bloomed. So to accuse someone of being an exotic, you're mostly relying on eyewitness accounts of people using powers or you get the abilities from a supernatural race that can pass it on to others.
There is one major exception for detection (beyond my Observe skill for some odd reason), but you'll probably kill off more normal people than actually detect an Exotic.
You could try to heal them with magical healing. Magical healing only works on magical folk or those who are Faith-conductive; such healing works by using the powers that already exist in them in order to heal.
Doing it to a normal person, well - you're essentially healing from their lifespan since there's no magic to act upon. And you could take decades away from said lifespan just to heal a scratch. Naturally, most mundanes don't survive magical healing if they're incorrectly thought of as supernatural. (also why I am so grateful that I explained to the Nameless Church that my eldest sister, despite her supernatural-appearing martial arts, is a mundane when she got gravely injured two weeks ago).
Un-fun fact. Per Samantha Golden's memories, the purpose of the Templars, back in medieval times, sending missionaries to plague-filled villages wasn't simply just to comfort the sick in their last moments. It was really to beef up their own supernatural arm. Most sick villagers will die from the plague anyway - accelerating that with incompatible magical healing, supposedly painless, could be thought of putting an end to their suffering, and if they find a couple magical children, that's the will of god.

I haven't seen Sato much at the Inn. Not since Halloween. She's been going back and forth between her holdings - and also found a nice set of foster parents for the baby. At the very least they're part of the Nameless circle, so the kid will be treated right, which given the effort Erna put in is something that should've been done.
Forgot to mention that Erna's fight in the slums made it to the news. People are calling her the Witch or the Magician, half and half - part of it being her hat and the other part being how much power she flung. Unfortunately, they're treating her more like a criminal with her own gang and everything - and the ensuing fight as a fight between two gangs with meta-humans.
Way to be flashy Erna. Lol.

💭 -For Ernastral
It belongs to the Dark. Blade and crystal that whisper of Power and Destruction. It asks for no offerings but simply beseeches that the wielder follows its heart without regret.
It is a big request. Bigger than what most people can give. People are bound by too many things - of needs, of responsibility, of duty, of friendship - to follow one's heart without fail. Those bindings create Contradiction - doing one thing yet believing another, a power solely in the domain of people - and produces a Shadow within one's heart.
Erna's Shadow sees the Contradictions that her Light hides in its splendor. It hates it. It does not understand why protecting the good parts of people also means protecting the bad parts. It does not understand why it must oblige the weak and arrogant when it is strong. It does not understand why she connects with others when she knows they will simply abandon her once they see her true self. The Shadow gets angrier and more restless every time she Sees it; she know because she catches Erna in her Sense more and more.
Before the Shadow had no power beyond trying to convince Erna from deep within. But then Erna touched the dead man's crystal, and suddenly it has a voice. A voice that gets bigger and bigger as it is listened to, even if the only listener is Erna. It does not matter though, because Erna is the only Listener that it wants. It wants to make the Light understand while also seeking its own understanding.
Why should it be buried? Is it not Erna too? Is it not what she wants and desires?
When they fought each other - when her Shadow was finally able to take on physical form...
Had she been a people, she believes she would have found it hard to know who to "root" for: The Erna that she knows or the Ernastrel that she wants to be.
But she is not a people. And in the end, who she sided with was never in question, because she is her nature, and her nature is her. It would be a sad place if the Erna she has always known were to fall asleep, never to wake up.
She has happiness when the Erna she knew won. But she also had happiness that her Shadow seemed satisfied, perhaps even content. Like its words have finally been heard - or perhaps because the people Erna put her trust in did not fail her - as it Feared - as they both feared. She is happy they both found what people call compromise.
They were both Erna after all.
They were the roots and leaves of the same tree.
It would be a sadness if either of them were gone.

The time distortion is a little inconvenient. Going back through seven days worth of Tunglr posts is not my idea of a good time, especially with Lev missing. At the very least, she sent something to indicate she's safe, probably during the whole frozen time business.
---
It does beget the question on who exactly is on Mokuba's account. No one seems... suspicious or anything, even with the whole abrupt changes. I don't know Mokuba as much as Lev does, so I don't know how much he gives into flights of fancy - not to mention that everyone I'm assuming who is part of the rescue squad has not messaged back. Sarandiel in particular has commented on Rook's (the one that Lev said will be there) absence.
Erna visited Chi, Lev, and myself before Lev's departure to help out Mokuba. Her visit involved figuring out what exactly happened to her friends back in her own world - where it seems that their souls were Called away from their bodies. Lev and Erna were really the ones who took the lead in that convo, given my lack of magical ability and can only find excerpts in the research that might be useful. It is comforting though that whoever took their souls seems to intend to bring them back, cause Lev is right on that regard - if the perpetrator was just stealing souls, there's no need to keep the connection with the body. Erna herself was a delight to have - maybe part of it is knowing someone came from a rural place with a knowledge of farming - country bumpkins meeting each other haha.
Æthelthryth (thunderclapd) is an interesting, if a bit violent, person. Seems to exist in a world where dying can be made into an inconvenience - though it can be made permanent. Very strong-sounding person, and the selfie I've seen sorta shows that. Attractive in a "I feel secure" sort of way. ANYWAY. I need to add that Æ symbol into the kaomoji section - or just her entire name in general.
--
Other updates.
Lex Luthor (hello-mrpresident) seems to have suffered an assassination attempt. He seems fine though, if a little irritated at the upped security. It's odd given that he's a superhero in his own right, so it's an assassin trying to take on a superhero with known superheroes assisting said hero (ultra-rage, Jester).
Bruce Wayne (somethinginthewayne) has encountered an incident where he dislocated a limb (suspected to be anterior dislocation of the shoulder, common things being common). As I've made an inconsiderate ass of myself earlier, I am a little reluctant on pursuing this topic further beyond concern.
Kalim. Missed the mentions of the Starsending ceremony if there are there. I can't go back that many posts without it affecting my waking hours and actual work. Will probably just ask Kalim with the excuse of time screwing up. The BC Potato came back with some sort of
Ember's...turned in a god? I'm not entirely sure what's going on in that part of the universe other than Ember deciding that his world has been in the crapper long enough. The video of the U.N. getting disrupted is mighty impressive.
Met Siege the day prior to Starsending for the sake of folding stars. Oddly enough, I expected to be a lot more surprised about seeing a skeleton in the Living Room, but I guess my brain's a bit wired towards the whole "just a physical shell" nowadays. Chi gets along with Siege - I was a bit worried that Siege didn't seem like he was treating Chi like...the original, I guess - but it seems to be okay. Maybe she's even more comfortable that way? I don't know.
Kris. He helped make stars with Chi and I for Starsending. I do have a feeling this dream world of Chi's would be up his alley. However, I want Lev's input first though as she is the one who is most familiar with Chi. I don't want to alarm anybody if this just happens to be one of Chi's quirky abilities.

Yeah, I can't think of any ways to do that off the top of my head, but I could ask around and bounce some ideas off of people on my end, see if anyone can come up with something? Maybe if there's something to detect, I can tap someone to build a device to find it?
I wish I could give better detail than that. For me, it's just a feeling. I'm not even sure what I'm feeling, just that I knew that at one point a long time ago.

!! ((For Erna! And maybe Lenar too if you feel like it aslkfehsldh))
Send ‘!!’ and I’ll write a para description of your muse from mine’s perspective
---
Even before her guardian brought her into the Inn's Receiving Room, she could smell the lingering sand and old books and hardy plants. She could tell that Erna must have come from the city she calls Ul'dah. A desert? A savanna?
Regardless, she does not get why Erna lingers there, for the place is not like her.
A desert is a place full of death but hides life.
But Erna is a person full of life but hides death.
Life is infused into Erna's entire being - because nurturing life with one's hands also nurtures one's body too. It is a Karma. That is probably why she is less small than the other people she knows - sturdy like an old tree, durable like a mighty mountain.
And yet death is also in her very core. It hides within her and waits quietly for the right time. And when that moment comes, with eyes that shine like the stars of Albireo, it unleashes fiery blazes and icy storms upon her enemies. Other times, it strikes down with a mighty blade onto her foes. The ending is the same.
She is not afraid though because Erna is her friend. One of the oldest - by the duration, not the age - friends she has. She cannot imagine her friend pointing her weapon towards her, not like A-...
...?
[Erna] grins to the very cozily-dressed girl and returns that wave. "Hey there, kiddo! You sure look ready for bed." Chi nods her head at being ready for bed and then points gently at Erna with a tilt of her head. She motions her hands together and puts her hand to cheek in a napping pose with a questioning gaze.

Well, if you've got a strong enough gust of wind you could easily just toss folks around. And wind, in my experience, is real good for mobility. I like using it to give myself a boost when I'm closing the distance between me and an enemy, haha! You could also possibly use it defensively; I remember you saying you were having some trouble with people getting you from a distance. Could probably use wind to deflect some kinds of ranged attacks.
Hmm. That sounds like a good use of it as any. At least if I have some sort of wind deflector going on. It reduces the chance of things hitting me through luck.
I have Blink as my closer, though I should probably look into using Wind as a speed boost. Blink cancels all momentum, so I can’t augment my attacks with speed aka Blinking into a physical attack. I guess wind would help me out there.
Any ideas of using wind as a form of crowd control? Other than tossing folks around - which I guess does count as crowd control, but I need them to stick around if I want them dead.
