The white peacock was the silent majesty of Sovalya.
The only crescent animal of the lands that wandered through the landscapes of Sovalya, aware of their independence and elegance, knowing every eye of crescent animals they came across would be on them, in awe of their infinite beauty✨
starting a little series of ink drawings surrounding a mythical world I've been building inside my head👀. (am I already thinking so far ahead to inktober? maybe....)

“…but it’s not his position that steals my breath. It’s the saddle strapped across his back that has me gawking.
‘I hear it’s all the fashion,’ Tairn brags.” - Fourth Wing
The way this moment had me screaming!
I intended for him to come out a bit scarier as he’s brutal looking in my head, but as I kept painting he became an absolute cinnamon roll. Might try an acrylic version soon.

A portrait painting in color done in about 15hrs.
This is the third portrait painting in color I’ve done using oil paint, and I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to use this medium again next year ✨

The next stage
I've reached the stage where the darks, mid-tones, and highlights are placed, though not set in stone. It may take a moment for me to get over my perfectionism and my fear of messing up. I want to do this process with clear intentions of making something memorable something beautiful, with my limited yet developing skills I believe it can be achieved. I am terribly optimistic of my progress. However I am operating with a bit curiosity of how I can sit long enough to discover the different tones of the different planes. I have to continue with the painting and maybe adding two more layers of shadow highlights and detail. I have to remind myself this is a study and a study for my practice….and you know what they say….”practice makes perfect”
