Letter 8
Hello-hello,
how are You? How is your health? Hope everything is ok there, with your loved ones too!
I stayed at home. Our airbnb in the city went into hibernation mode. All of my other projects are either running on their own, or just put them aside.
I like how things slowed down. We can all pay attention to the really important things in life.
It is shocking in a way, that we have to face this pandemic. But on the other hand i know it was inevitable...
I hope i won’t get it. Probably it would get me hospitalized, or killed. Sad. I don’t think, i would be sad, if i were dead. I imagine, i would become one with the universe once again. I would be a part of the earth, the water. I would travel with the wind, and washed down with the rain.
But i don’t want to die just yet. I want to live through many summers. So i am practicing new good habits.
Starting with breathing. Have you heard about Wim Hoff? His exercises helps me learn how to breathe more deeply. Over oxygenize my body, that eventually leads to healing itself. It is weird realizing how shallowly i breath, no good. I think this is the only high that i enjoy, being high on oxygen, haha (and the other one of course, is sex- maybe it is connected to hyperventilation...)   And the other thing is, cold exposure. Every time i take a shower, at the end i use only cold water. I am gradually building up the time spent under cold water. Fun.
Oh and, it is not WimHoffy, but under the shower i use this cloth gloves thingy for exfoliation. It is rough and i get sooo red, but afterward my skin is so soft :)
And then if the weather is nice, i spend time on the sun. Uncovering my skin as much as possible.
My aim is to eat as healthy and whole as possible. I like to cook. It is kind of magical, you put together things, add heat, fat and seasoning and bumm, you have a completely different thing, that is hopefully delicious. :)
I cook traditional dishes, but nowadays more ‘world’ food. With lots of veggies. It is a wonder to me, that from the same ingredients how different meals come out, in different cultures. I really enjoy watching Japanese, rural Chinese cooking shows on YouTube. Do You like to cook?
Today the menu will be a traditional spring time dish. We have these little, cooked amorphous shaped dumpling like  pasta, on which we pour fresh eggs and fry them together. We serve it with fresh lettuce (like romaine), with a sweet dressing of vinegar, sugar, water, salt and pepper and a bit of lemon juice. When i got pregnant with our little girl, (exactly 21 years ago, wow-i should add that!), we were in Germany for month, i remember, i craved this dish so hard, haha.
And of course i listen to music every day. And pet our cat, and our dog. And spend as much time that i can in the garden. Or dreaming up all its summer colors if the weather is harsh...
So i think i am on a good path toward a good health.
