Things Pagan Content Creators don't show you
Hi, My name is Tony; I am a solitary Heathen/Pagan! There's tons of Pagan, Heathen, Witch, and Wiccan Content Creators out there as we all know! Has it ever struck you as odd that they always seem to be connected with the gods or their practice? Well I got news for you; heres a list telling you what a lot of them will never say(mostly, and sometimes will say if asked but most of the time they aren't).
The point of this list IS NOT to shame them, its to bring awareness to the community, to give motivation, and to overcome possible Imposter Syndrome with our paths and practices.
*** Most, and yes, MOST people of our community in fact do not have daily, weekly, or even monthly conversations or workings with gods or deities. Yes, we can all work with them, however that doesn't mean there's always a line of communication. Content creators will brush over this, and yes it does seem to us, like they talk to them all the time. Not the case.
*** Before I say this next one, I will go ahead and recognize that a lot of people say this too, I'm bringing this up for again, awareness.
It is okay to stop Practicing, Offerings, Praying, and any forms of work with our craft or path. Taking a break from it is sometimes necessary. We are human. We will get overwhelmed sometimes and THAT'S OKAY!! You are not any less of a Pagan because of it, and if anyone says otherwise, send them to me. Fuck those people, its your craft, not theirs.
*** You do not need that expensive altar and altar pieces. You don't! Most us Pagans are in the working class and simply can't afford these extravagant altar. You can buy whatever you want but you don't need most things for your craft. (Not shaming the people with amazing altars btw, even I look at them)
*** Can't afford certain offering items? That's fine! Here's some things you can use for offerings for my budget pagans and witches. Food from your plate, WATER(easiest and great offering for any occasion, I recommend water especially with ancestor work), Herbs you probably already have, crafts you do, creative writings, crafts, music, plants, and the list goes on.
*** Your craft is your craft. Again, your craft is your craft. As long as you're not culture appropriating, do whatever feels right.
*** When these bigger creators go on break and say they are taking a hiatus, they do not really go into detail that they did nothing for months, they will tell you about the one or two things that DID happen. Again, this can discourage their audience. Again, I'm not attacking creators for this, cause who wants to say they did nothing for months? Exactly.
*** Most importantly, if you identify as Pagan, THAT! IS! ENOUGH! Just believing our ways and the gods and deities is enough to be Pagan. I don't care what anyone says.
As stated earlier, this post was not to put down Content Creators in any way. I am simply hoping I can empower my community. I struggled for a long time thinking I wasn't Pagan enough because I felt I wasn't doing enough or didn't have the money or time to invest. Be the best you can be for yourself, not other people. You're loved, and doing enough.
Stay Heathen my friends~

Samhain ritual
you'll need 13 candles, and a good long cleansing bath for this ritual & make it fun to do.
Casting Instructions:
You can wear a weapon as you like to emphasize the power that you have over those who are not of this world. Put three candles on the altar and five others of seasonal colors before the altar. A pentagram should be marked on the ritual area, centered on the spot where you will be sitting before the altar. It would be appropriate to place a pumpkin and some ears of corn to one side of the altar and a cauldron or suitable substitute on the other side. Put some salt and bread on the pentacle and a cup of wine. (Use a wine you will happily drink)Use some incense liberally throughout the ceremony.
1) You should take a cleansing bath before the ritual. When you are ready to begin, meditate for a while on the fact that the veil between the worlds is thin and that for centuries past, other witches have done this ritual before. When ready, light the three candles on the altar and say:
* (Candle 1) “This I light for the Maiden's bright glory.”
* (Candle 2) “This I light for the passion and triumph of the Lady.”
* (Candle 3) “This for the wisdom of the Crone”
2) Light the incense, and then the five candles which sit before the altar, saying:
“These do I light in honor Not only of the Three-Fold Goddess But for Her strong, horned consort. He who is sometimes laughing, sometimes grim And close nearby on this night.”
-Stand, pointing your wand out before you, calling:
“On this, the sacred night of Samhain, I build this small temple In honor of the Goddess, and of the God And of the Ancient Ones From the times before Time. To all, I do give my love And my warmest greetings.”
3) Place the five candles at the point of the pentagram, touching each with the wand. Rap thrice upon the altar with the wand, then replace it. Kneel and hold out your arms out over it, crossed, and give the incantation:
This is a time that is not a time In a place that is not a place On a day that is not a day Between the worlds And beyond...
-Pause for the space of 13 heartbeats. Then hold your hands over the salt, bread, and wine in an attitude of blessing, and say:
For this salt, bread, and wine Do I ask the blessings Of Maiden, of Lady, of Crone And of the Horned One Who guards the Portal of the Worlds
-Take the bread and touch it to the salt, saying:
May I, and those whom I love Have sufficiency and good health.
-After eating the bread, take the wine cup and hold it forth in a toast toward the north, saying:
May our spirits be strong.
-Drink the wine, and proclaim:
By the Threefold Goddess And the Horned God So be it!
4) When you feel that the ritual should end, put out the candles beginning with those on the pentagram and say:
Though these flames Of the material world Be darkened, They shall ever burn In the worlds beyond. The rite is ended!

Witchy Playlist Recommendations??
Do any of you use Spotify or have any witchy playlists to share? I'm talking spooky, haunting, witchy and/or autumn type stuff like Agnes Obel, BANKS, Lord Huron, banjo, cello, piano stuff--honestly I'm not picky.

Mosshawk is a longtime resident of Pennsylvania's Appalachian Mountains. She studied AP Art in high school and had intended to become an art teacher. Most of her wandmaking techniques are self taught. When she isn't working on art projects she likes to travel with her husband and their fur babies, Dax and Sammy. They recently spent a year and a half exploring Colorado and Oregon by RV, and that experience colors everything we do.
Crafting an authentic wand can be a lengthy process. From selecting the trees who give us the branches to refining the final magical tool, the process of making a wand can take weeks. To follow her passion and create the best project Mosshawk has learned hand carving, Dremel relief, pyrography, and hand-inking techniques. No two wands are the same.
Pyrography Dremel Whittling Scorching Dyeing Mixed Media
This most recent batch went to The Simple Life in Taneytown, MD. Drop by and pick one up! The prices range from $15 to $22. I also work by commssion and together we can choose a locally grown wood, work out your decorations and inscriptions, and get you a wand you'll love to work with!
