Why is there literally a song being made about how they wish a pillow princess on their ex?

Why are we being used as an insult?

I'm 30 and until about 4 to 5 years ago I thought I was a broken lesbian because of things like this.

There is nothing wrong with stone identities or pillow princesses.

I see people asking '' is it bad'' or if they are bad, and some people just answering yes. Like??? I just know some are gonna feel wrong, just like I did. Just like others do or did.

How can you claim to be a part of our community and ridicule us in such a VILE way.

I hope many of us stand up to this and show how wrong this is because I legit feel like crying. This internal little part of shame I will always carry just got hurt all over again.

Some people who have their head far up their ass that everything must be racism. Like a certain character? Racism.

It couldn’t possibly be that some people (queer people) feel represented by him in a positive manner and that deeply means something to them.

Just because you are not attracted to him, doesn’t mean others can’t be, and if they are it doesn’t mean it’s because he’s white. Maybe it’s because he’s confident or interesting or because he has a cleft.

Just because you think the actor “only plays douche characters well” and their acting is “sub par” doesn’t mean everyone else see it that way and just likes him cause he’s white.

“Literally nothing to put over a POC actor”? How about simply because this is where the story is right now? How about that? How about it doesn’t matter what color the actor is? Race and ethnicity have zero to do with the story being told.

How about there’s literally zero reason to compare and pit white actors against POC actors? White actors are not the enemies of POC actors. White actors are not harming POC actors simply by doing their jobs and doing them well. Acting and creating art is a collaborative process and everyone involved is part of a team, white or not.

Art is subjective. You’re allowed to not like a character. You’re allowed to not like a plot line. You can think Tommy is an asshole or that he’s not attractive to you. What you’re not allowed to do is label anyone who disagrees with you as racist like there’s no other possible explanation.

So NCIS Hawaii may not get renewed and if it does it has to take budget cuts and that includes a shortened season but CBS can have all these other NCIS related spin off shows that don't even have a following yet while Hawaii has continues to have strong ratings week after week. @wearewatcher just announced that it is leaving youtube to go to their own website which will be subscription based in order to be able to make things of "Netflix quality". The problem is that their audience is mainly broke millennials who are working way too many hours, and not a lot of them are willing to shell out yet another monthly bill to watch things that used to be free just for them to be "higher quality" because production quality is the number one concern of literally zero of their fans. A lot of us aren't able (or willing) to shell out almost a hundred bucks every year, especially RIGHT after they announce Steven's bringing back Worth It, which features them flying all over to eat extremely expensive foods.

Honestly, most of us are there to watch Ryan and Shane be silly little mystery boys. That's what made us fall in love with their content.

I understand it costs a LOT of money to create content and ALSO be able to survive with content creation being your job. But I honestly think this will lose them a TON of viewership.

And I get that. I agree with that. Shane at the start of Watcher would have encouraged everyone "If we ever make you pay for this stuff, just pirate it."

It's wild and unfortunate to see them make such a big change so suddenly.

This worked for companies like Dropout because they release DAILY content. This worked for Netflix because they have TONS of episodes of TONS of shows available. Watcher releases a single video every week and it rotates from multiple different shows.

Watcher is charging the same amount that Netflix (with ads) charges. For a FRACTION of the content.

This isn't going to end well, especially in regard to international viewers, who have some HIGHLY unfavourable currency exchange.
