Say something babe pt2
James Potter x reader
Angst
Warnings: cheating, yelling, James being a dick and few curse words I think? (Also y/n being a big dummy for a sec but it happens)
A/n: here's part two! I hope you guys enjoy it this one is longer than the last since some of it was technically part of part one but I moved it. This part made me really hate James so I have some regrets but oh well I promise to write fluffier fics eventually. There's gonna be part 3 of James groveling but for now it's just this I'm sorry. :(
Tumblr media
It was your last day home after spring break, you had spent your week in your bed in the dark having restless sleep to avoid the reality of your situation, but it seemed even your Dreams were haunted, and you knew your mum was worried. You had written to Penny and your other friends, who had been worried about your sudden departure without saying goodbye. Penny had thankfully not told anyone anything about what you two heard that last night. James had surprisingly also sent you a few letters,5 to be exact, but you couldn't get yourself to open them, any time you tried nausea overtook your body at the thought of the words he said about you.
You were dreading the thought of returning and facing everything. You thought about continuing everything as if you had never heard that conversation and try to enjoy however long you had with James, you had even thought of excuses as to why you left and didn't reply to his letters, but you knew you deserved better. You needed to confront James, and maybe he would apologize and reassure you it was all some big misunderstanding, you probably would believe him if he did.
.......♡☆♡........
As soon as you stepped on the train platform, you heard a set of heavy steps approaching you, but before you could turn around, a big set of arms enveloped you. "Can't... breathe..." you gasped out and patted Finn's back, and he immediately let you go to see Penny, Rowan, and Wren were there too, each giving you a gentler hug than Finn.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to hurt you, I was just so worried, and I missed you so much, it's been ages!"
"Sure has felt like it but come on, let's find a cabin before the good ones are taken." You placed your hand on Finn's arm and started guiding your friend group to the train. You knew that you were probably going to get interrogated by everyone, but you could at least push it back a few minutes.
Once your group found a cabin you sat down by the window and Wren immediately shut the door, and you knew even if you tried there was no stopping this. "Okay girly you better start talking about whatever it's going on because that letter saying something came up at home, and you had to go earlier is bullshit cause something is always going on at your house and that is exactly why you hate being there. So now talk and tell me who I need to jinx with Finny here for doing something to you."
You looked at Penny for some help, but she just gave you a soft smile, encouraging you to tell your friends the truth. But you were terrified of them hating James, in case it was just a misunderstanding.
"James and I just had a bit of an argument, no big deal, I promise we are fine. I'm fine." Penny rolled her eyes at your words, but thankfully no one saw her, and she did help you change the topic. But you knew none of your friends believed you, even Finn who was sometimes a bit clueless could tell you lied and for the rest of the train ride they gave you worried looks.
.......♡☆♡........
After the long train ride, you went to freshen up in your dorm (and mentally prepare yourself to face James) assuring your friends you would meet them at the great hall. But just when you made a turn, you felt someone pull you into an empty classroom. Just when you were about to scream you felt a pair of lips you knew all too well pressed onto yours and for a moment you forgot about all the pain that you had felt over the past week.
When James pulled back and searched your face his eyes brought back the words you had heard, the words that came out of the lips you had just kissed, and immediately all the pain and nausea returned.
"I was so worried about you baby, you left without even saying goodbye, and we were supposed to go to that party together, and then you wouldn't reply to any of my letters and your friends didn't know anything either." You usually thought his ranting was adorable, especially when he looked like he did right now with his eyebrows furrowed and eyes looking at you with what you used to think was sincerity, but now that stupid look in his eyes just felt like a dagger onto your heart twisting with each word that left his lips.
You pushed his hands on your cheeks away and took a step away which made him frown, but before he could say anything you blurted "I heard your conversation with Castor in the Gryffindor common room!" Which made him frown more until a look of realization crossed his face and his eyes widened.
"W-what conversation...? H-how did you even get into the Gryffindor common room?" He tried to deflect, which made your heart sink and tears well up in your eyes.
"The one where you mentioned I was so annoying and clingy and offered me to Castor, so you could have some alone time with Lily!" He was refusing to look you in the eyes anymore, which was making all that sadness you once felt turn into bitter anger.
"I-I don't know what you're talking about you are overreacting right now Castor and I don't really talk plus y-you were complaining about him that one-"
"James!"
"Okay! Fine! I did tell Castor all that, but you know what? You're just proving that you ARE clingy. I mean, why do you have to listen to MY private conversations, huh? And again, what were you doing in the Gryffindor common room? And you're also proving how dramatic and psychotic you are by making this big show about something I said to my friend privately!" By this point, you couldn't hold back your tears as James spit the words that had kept you restless the past week with so much venom, and his once gentle eyes turned into those of a crazed man.
"And what about Lily!?" You managed to scream back, but it came out so broken that even James' eyes momentarily softened, or maybe it was just because you mentioned the girl he actually loved.
"What about her?" He stepped closer, eyes hardening again, glaring at you in a way that killed you. "Are you seriously jealous of her? Merlin y/n! Am I not allowed to have friends? I never tell you anything when you hang out with Rowan and Finn."
"I've never been jealous because I trusted YOU! B-but I heard-"
"Heard something completely out of context! Look babe, I love you okay! That night at the party I just wanted to play some drinking games with Lily cause I know you don't like drinking! I would never cheat on you, okay? I know how you feel about it because of your dad and I wouldn't do it to you, promise" You wanted to scream deep down you knew this was all lies, but you wanted to believe him so badly. Just when you had made up your mind, you felt James wrap his arms around you, and you couldn't help but cry harder. You just felt so small and broken and as if his arms were the only thing holding you together.
"I'm so sorry for overreacting. I-I don't know what happened, I-I…" James took my face into his hands again and gently kissed my lips.
.......♡☆♡........
After you and James cleared things up, things had been a little tense between you and Penny, who berated you for an hour and then ignored you until the next day cause she couldn't stay mad at you. And even though with James things were seemingly back to normal you still felt yourself walking on eggshells around him and stopped missing classes and club meetings, like you usually did in favor of meeting him, so he wouldn't feel like you were clingy. Despite all of it, you still felt something was missing, like the life had been drained out of you. But that only made you feel worse, since you had everything you could possibly want, and suddenly you weren't satisfied. Now when James was by your side you often felt numb even when you would hang out with the other marauders who usually made you laugh you felt like you were laughing out of a pure reaction but not feeling any joy.
It had been 3 weeks since your argument, and you were running late to Madam Puddifoot's tea shop, where you had made a last-minute arrangement with your friend group to celebrate your friend Luna's birthday. You usually didn't come to Hogsmeade in the middle of the week, too busy with the many activities you were part of plus assignments as it was your last year at Hogwarts. But you and Luna had been friends since second year when she had gotten sick around the same time you fell off your broom and both of you spent your days at the infirmary chatting away. You helped her usually shy, and reserved self become more open and make more friends.
When you finally arrived at the tea shop, you spotted a curly mop of hair that you recognized as James leaning in to kiss Lily. The chatter you were having among your friends completely stopped, and you felt your world come crashing down, there was no denying anymore. James Potter was the biggest cheater ever, and you were the biggest fool for trusting him. You contemplated going to confront him right then and there, but you didn't want to ruin Luna's party, so you made your way back to Hogwarts and would confront him when he got back to his dorm. All throughout your walk back, you kept cursing him and yourself for being so naive.
.......♡☆♡........
By the time James made it back to his dorm it was 7:45 you had long made yourself comfortable after kicking out the other marauders.
"Baby! What are you doing here? I told you it was best to not come after the whole misunderstanding from last time" Unsurprisingly, James was shocked to see you there, but he quickly disguised it and tried to lean in to kiss you, but you just turned your face, so he just kissed your cheek which made him frown. "Is everything okay?"
"I don't know, James, you tell me. How was your little date with Lily?" To that his eyes widened and if you weren't seething right now you probably would have found it comical.
"Merlin y/n this again?! I've told you there's nothing going on between me and Lily! You're so-"
"I saw the two of you kiss at Madam Puddifoot's." You said matter of fact, interrupting whatever argument he was gonna use to call you delusional.
"I swear it wasn't what it looked like! She's the one who kissed me! She's been obsessing over me ever since we got together. She's an insane babe." That was true, unfortunately, James had never told you about Lily wanting him back after seeing him with you, and it's not like he tried to stop her, in fact, James had very much encouraged her. He loved the thrill of being with her behind your back, you had been so close to finding out about them so many times. And after the last time he had been so cocky about being able to convince you he was loyal, bragging to everyone in Gryffindor. But you didn't know any of that.
"Oh really, just like I'm so obsessed with you that I don't let you breathe? Look I don't care anymore I'm done playing the fool. If I'm even here, it's just for formalities because we are done, Potter." You said, as you got up from his bed, and made your way to the door.
"Are you seriously breaking up with me right now?" You didn't bother answering as you opened the door and stepped out. Making a vow to never anyone hurt you like that again and refusing to ever look back.

Midnights Chapter 1: Wake
Tumblr media
Collection Summary: A collection of one-shots of sleepless nights between you and Emily.
Chapter Summary: You wake up after a nightmare and Emily comforts you.
Pairing: Emily Prentiss/Reader
Word Count: 897
Ao3
“Where is she?” you asked, not even bothering to close the car door behind you as you ran toward Hotch.
Hotch’s lips pressed together in a thin line. “Y/N—”
“She did not go inside without backup,” you said, hoping if you said it forcefully enough that it would be true. “She did not go into a massive warehouse after a known bomber by herself.”
Hotch’s lack of response was all you needed.
“Give me a vest,” you said, holding a hand out.
Behind Hotch, Morgan reached for an FBI vest, but Hotch held a hand up to stop him.
“I can’t let you do that,” he said.
“Hotch, she’s my partner. What if it was Haley in there?”
Hotch grimaced. “That would be different; Haley’s a civilian. Emily’s trained, and we sent the bomb squad in behind her.”
“You can’t expect me to just stand here and do nothing!”
“I won’t risk sending in more agents when it isn’t necessary. She’s looking for the child the unsub kidnapped, not the bomber.”
“We profiled that the unsub would keep the child with him. If the building explodes—” you broke off, unable to finish the thought.
“Y/N, if you can’t compose yourself, I’ll have JJ take you back to the field office. We need to keep level heads in front of the public.”
You glanced behind him at the crowd that was forming behind the police barricade and hated that he was right. Even still, you had to bite down on the retort that was dying to surface, knowing that if you let it, it would be accompanied by several four-letter words that your superior was not likely to appreciate.
“Come here,” JJ said, wrapping an arm around you, and walking you out of earshot of your teammates.
“Why would she do that?” you asked, fighting back tears. “Why would she go in alone?”
JJ’s expression softened. “You know why. She’d never leave a child in danger if she could help it.”
At that moment, you hated your girlfriend’s compassionate heart.
JJ reached a hand up to her earpiece, listening for something that you couldn’t hear, and smiled. “Emily has the girl. There’s no sign of the unsub, and she’s on her way back out.”
You breathed a heavy sigh of relief. You’d see her soon, and then your heart would be whole again.
You turned toward the building, your eyes jumping between each set of doors, wondering where Emily would emerge from.
It gave you the perfect view as the building went up in flames.
“No!” you screamed, breaking into a run before you could think about it.
JJ’s arms were around you in an instant, holding you back. Morgan rushed over to assist her as you tried to fight out of their grasp.
“Let me go!” you sobbed. “Let me go! Emily! Emily!”
“Y/N,” another voice whispered. “Y/N, wake up. It’s okay.”
Your eyes flew open, and you pressed a hand against your racing heart. The bedroom around you was dark, but you’d know the soft scent of the woman next to you anywhere.
“You were having a nightmare,” Emily murmured, stroking your hair. “You were screaming my name.”
Heat rushed to your cheeks, and you were grateful to the darkness for concealing it. “I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to wake you.”
You rolled on your side to face your girlfriend, who was propped up on an elbow, looking at you with a mix of love and concern.
“It’s not your fault,” she said. “I get them, too. Do you want to talk about it?”
You nodded, and Emily took your hand.
“It was last week’s case,” you whispered.
“The bomber?” she asked, and you nodded.
“You didn’t make it out in time. The building went up with you in it.”
She sucked in breath. “Oh, Y/N. But it didn’t; I’m right here.”
“It could’ve,” you said, gesturing toward a bandage on her arm, concealing a burn that was still healing.
Emily and the little girl—Clara—made it out of the building, but not for lack of effort. The unsub caught up to them near the exit, and Emily was burned protecting Clara. In the end, they made it out alive, and the unsub was apprehended.
But you hadn’t been able to shake the fear that had consumed you that day and followed you ever since.
“I’m sorry,” Emily said. “I’m so sorry for scaring you. I wasn’t thinking, and I know now if the roles had been reversed—” she stopped herself. “I wouldn’t be able to bear it, either.”
“Promise me,” you replied. “Promise me that you’ll wait for backup in the future. I know there’s always danger, but the thought of you facing a situation like that alone again paralyzes me.”
“I promise,” Emily said, squeezing your hand. “And I’ll make it up to you.”
“I know,” you smirked, rolling over to face away from her. Moments later, Emily started rubbing circles on your back, immediately putting you at ease. She always knew the best ways to relax you.
You snuggled deeper under the covers as she continued making circles up and down your back, and you managed to murmur, “I love you,” as you drifted off to sleep.
Just before you did, you felt Emily peck a kiss on the back of your neck and whisper, “I love you, too.”

Sherlock fandom.
I can’t get you off my mind
I knew Mrs. Hudson was wrong when she told me marriage changes people.
Not my John, I thought.
How wrong I was.
Seen in hindsight; has it been three months already, she was right. I should have known that. After all, she was more of an expert on relationships than me. What did I have to show for? My only relationship, if you didn’t count family, had been with John. He was the only one who could fit that term.
I told Mrs. Hudson that Mary would be reasonable when I needed John on a case. Her response baffled me.
“Don’t ever use that word and her name in the same sentence, Sherlock. They don’t match. At all.”
Then she huffed and clenched her jaw tight, unwilling to explain herself. So, I’d turned to Mycroft. If anyone knew what was going on, it was him.
“Brother mine,” he said quietly when I came forth with my request about John’s wife.
“Don’t patronise me, Mycroft,” I snapped. “Just tell me what’s going on. Is John safe?”
“Why would you ask…” Mycroft began, but something about my appearance stopped him from whatever nonsense he was going to utter.
He sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of his nose. Neither were good signs.
“She’s an assassin with a prize on her head. We have her under surveillance. I suspect she’ll attempt to flee any day to escape,” Mycroft told me.
My brain buzzed, analysed, and calculated in quick succession, but in vain. All I could think of was John, unknowing, unsafe, and the baby.
“Mary isn’t pregnant, Sherlock,” Mycroft said.
“Excuse me?” Were you ever going to tell me any of this?” I asked furiously.
***
It’s over now. John’s personal Armageddon. His wife gone when he woke. A letter explaining nothing. The fake pregnancy belly was the final nail in the coffin. I tried to reach out to him, but he was so angry. Thought I’d known all along. He didn’t want to listen to reason. I didn’t blame him. I still don’t.
Again, it’s Mrs. Hudson’s words putting things in motion.
“Are you just going to let it slide? He needs you, Sherlock! You are his best friend, his entire world. Save him, dear, and yourself. Ask him to come home.”
“He is home,” I protest.
The look she gives me, makes me feel like a five-year old again. She doesn’t pester me further, but it’s enough. I fetch my laptop and start to write an email. The most important one I’ve ever written.
Dear, John
Believe me when I say I didn’t know anything about Mary or the baby until the day before she left. I would’ve told you if I knew. I was terrified when Mycroft told me, and I couldn’t bear the thought of you being unsafe and unknowing. My plan was to tell you the day you woke up without her, but by then it was too late.
I don’t blame you for not believing me, John. After all, I’ve lied to you about severe things in the past. If you want to talk, we can. Whenever you want. I’m just a text away. And if you can’t bear the thought of staying where you live; know that you’re always welcome at Baker Street. It was your home, and it’s empty without you.
We’re not good with words, John. Not these kinds, anyway, but don’t let our friendship end like this. I want you in my life, in my home, our home. I can’t get you off my mind, John. I never could. Please, consider coming back.
If you don’t answer this email, text, phone or come to Baker Street, I’ll understand, but I hope you’ll do at least one of those things. To let me know where we stand.
SH
***
I’m mentally exhausted after I’ve sent the email, and go to bed, sleeping like the dead for almost ten hours. When I’ve showered and had some tea and toast, I take out my violin and play all of John’s favourites.
This can’t be how it ends; I think when I lower the violin and bow. After I’ve placed the instrument back in its case, I hear a sound. I’d been so lost in my own head and haven’t been paying attention to my surroundings. And why would I? I’ve lived alone for months, but now I sense a presence.
I turn, slowly, alert, and there he is, in his chair, looking at me with eyes filled with unshed tears. Any second now they will trickle down his cheeks. In an instant I’m kneeling in front of him, letting my hands rest on his knees.
“John, is everything okay? Are you…”
“I’m okay, Sherlock. Just…”
His voice his hoarse. I can tell this isn’t the first time he’s been crying today. Something catches my eye just inside the door. John’s duffle bag. I jerk my head back to look at him.
“John?”
“I’m coming home, Sherlock. For good,” he says and manages to smile while he’s crying.
***
So, this is how it ends. With a pair of broken hearts that are going to be mended. We only have to give it some time, and we will get there. Together.

Tommy Shelby- Old Love Pt1
Tumblr media
Pt2 Pt3 Pt4 Pt5
Tommy Shelby. My husband, well now ex husband. The man I loved who went away to war. At first we wrote to one another every chance we got. He would come home when he could and we loved our time together. A year into the war he came home and at always we spent a lot of time together, just us two. After a couple of weeks he had to go back and a week later I found out I was pregnant. Of course I was excited, but that's when the letters stopped. Arthur would still write to tell me Tommy was alive.
After years of fighting, the war changed him. Polly warned me that he would, but I held out hope that he would return home and once again sweep me off my feet. Unfortunately that didn't happen. When he returned the new barmaid would flirt with him and he had no problem flirting back, leaving me to take care of our son alone. After a while I had enough and left him, we got divorced and I moved away with our son. That was until Polly sent me a letter to tell me Tommy was going mad and that she believed that I was the only one who could bring him back. Hesitantly I agreed to come back to Small Heath and see my ex husband once again.
I walk through the streets of Small Heath holding Charlie's hand when I see him, Tommys older brother smoking cigarette outside of the pub. Arthur notices me first
"YN?!"
"Hey Arthur" I walk over to him. He stomps out his cigarette as I approach
"Hey little man" Arthur ruffles Charlies hair up
"Hi uncle Arthur"
"What are you doing back here?" he ask pulling me into a hug
"Polly sent me a letter. Tommy has been acting... odd?" I frown not quite understanding what has been going on. Arthur sighs
"Can we talk without little ears?"
"Sure. I'll drop him off at Polly's"
"Polly and Ada are inside. I own the pub now"
"Ok" I give him a nervous smile and pick Charlie up and follow Arthur into the pub
"YN you came!" Polly runs over to me and hugs both me and Charlie
"Do you mid watching him Pol?"
"Of course come on Mr let's go and get you a lemonde"
"Come with me" I follow Arthur into a little room that the boys would always relax in
"So? You going to tell me what's been going on?"
"Since you've left Tommy has been off the rails. Using opium every night, sleeping with..."
"I don't need to know who he's sleeping with. I left because he was flirting with that barmaid. We barley spoke. He was so obsessed with power, out all night, never let me in. What was I meant to do Arthur?"
"Not leave him. The war fucked him up. Fucked all of us up" Arthur rubs his hands over his face
"And I get that, but he wasn't the only one struggling Arthur. Yes you were in a physical war and I get that I can't imagine what any of you saw or did, but I was there for Tommy through the nightmares. I had to do that alone"
"What do you mean YN? You weren't ever alone"
"I was while you were all at war. I had to put my problems to the side. I'm only just well again" I take in a deep breath and sit down
"I love Charlie. I really do, but after I had him I was sad all the time. I didn't want to go out. Polly said it was just the baby blues, but it lasted longer than it should have. Every time he cried I would panic, cry, scream. Something was wrong Arthur. I heard about woman harming their children after giving birth. I didn't want to hurt him, but I needed Tommy. I went to an asylum and I was treated for insanity. Polly got me out and helped me"
"Fuck YN why didn't you say anything? Why didn't you tell us you were struggling?"
"How could I?" I shrug tears in my eyes "Tommy was having his own issues. Then that barmaid flirting. It was the final straw Arthur"
"Tommy needs you now more than ever and I think you need him"
"I'll think about it" I stand up and start leaving the room. That's when I see him walking in. Tommy. He looks disheveled, not at all like the man I love. He looks at me like he's seen a ghost.

Misery falls down from the nearly black clouds as you sit on your covered balcony. The air is cold and thin, a blanket wrapped around your shoulders that were swimming in one of his long sleeve shirts, a pair of sweats that belonged to him, helped to shield you from the brisk air.
The wind blew causing you to smell his cologne that was permanently embedded into the fabrics.
Everything smelt like him.
A warm cup of coffee sits in your hand. The bitter black liquid gently shakes with the hand that’s holding it, wether it’s nerves or the cold, you aren’t sure. You take a sip, the liquid scalds your mouth but you can’t find it in you to care.
It reminded you of him. Scalding hot. A fire work that went off to soon. A summer bonfire crackling in the dead of night.
The rain seemed to rage on as you thought about him.
He hated rain.
The night he packed up and left was one similar to this. Rain thudding against the windows of your apartment, thunder and lightening commanding the sky like a symphony.
He was a blur as the dark duffle bag was thrown over his shoulder, the door gently latching behind him, it made you jump out of your skin worse than if someone had slammed it. The bed reeked of him, you use to find it endearing, but that night, it made things worse.
Two years had came and gone since last you saw him shoot your heart out. You tried to move on, you really did. But bandaids don’t fix bullet holes.
You had written him countless tear stained letters, none of them were ever sent. It’s hard to send a letter without an address.
The hope he’d walk through that door kept you going. It’s why you never moved. You’d always keep the light on outside the door just incase he’d return. The answer on why he left was a mystery. His last words to you were ‘I can’t do this with you.’
She always kept hope that Suki would come back to her. Y/n was never giving a direct answer on why he left. He gave her a small ‘I can’t do this’ and was gone.
A small sniffle escaped you as you took another sip of the Bakugou Katsuki flavored drink. You set the mug down and picked up a notebook and a pen.
‘K, it’s been two years since you left me. I’ll never give up hope that you’ll come back home. Sometimes I think I can hear your voice when I wake up or go to sleep. Sometimes I can’t stop myself from imagining my favorite memories of us. All the late-night talks, all the jokes, and half asleep laugh sessions. The hugs you’d give me, the kisses we shared. It always ends with you walking out that damn door like I was nothing to you. In my fantasy world, I imagine that you start to leave but realize the mistake you’re making so you’d shut the door. You’d drop your bag and tell me you love me, and kiss me gently. It’s a long shot, I know. I hope you’re out there somewhere and you’re happy.’
The first few months of him being gone were the worst. Learning how to breath without him. Laugh without him. Smile without him. Live without him.
The way your mornings went from quiet snores and handsy touches to his side of the bed untouched and freezing.
You started to move on from Katsuki. You had too. It was hard. Everyone you seemed to go for just wasn’t him. That was the biggest problem you couldn’t solve. Nobody looked like him, felt like him, smelled like him or even acted like him.
For now and forever you’d have to live with knowing that you and Katsuki could have continued to be happy, but now all it was, was something that could have been.

Love Letters to no one (B.B)
Tumblr media
Pairings: Rooster x Fem!Reader, Platonic!Maverick x Fem!Reader
Warnings: swearing, fluff, mentions of death
Word count: 1.1k words
Author’s Note: Hey! This idea has come to me here and there over time and I realized how much it plays on my life! I hope y’all enjoy!
Part One: Lost Boys
Part two is out!
Tumblr media
He was four. He was a four-year-old boy and he had just lost his father. Hell, I wasn’t even around yet. It took my parents four more years to make a mistake and then BAM! there I was. Bradley loved most things in life. He loved his mother and looked at her like she had hung the moon and stars. He loved my dad, relying on him to be his uncle and best friend. He loved his dad, a man I never met but gosh, when you look into Bradley’s eyes you see him. You see Goose in the way he moves and talks and acts.
I think that is why dad was adamant about staying in his life. I think part of him thought that by keeping Bradley around he’d have Goose with him too. Honestly, I think he kept that thought process when Carole died too. Only by then, he had messed up so bad that Bradley wouldn’t talk to him anymore.
By the time Bradley was twelve my dad and I had already received word that his mom was sick. Of course, being eight you don’t really understand the concept of sick, and it would be only six years after Carole’s passing that my mom would pass too.
Bradley and I were inseparable, we did everything together. From my dad making us breakfast in the morning to his mom doing my hair before his senior prom. Our family dynamic worked for us though it may have appeared weird on the outside, inside it was perfect.
I don’t really know what went wrong between them. They were perfect until three days after Carole’s funeral.
“I can’t believe you” Bradley spat, fire in his eyes.
“Bradley please you wouldn’t understand” Dad took a step closer to the boy, he was shaking but I didn’t know if it was from anger or tears.
“This was my one wish, the one thing that made me closer to my dad!” He seemed upset but there wasn’t much prying I could do sitting on the bottom step of our staircase, peering in through the doorway. I wasn’t sure if they knew I was there.
“No it’s not Bradley, you are closer to your dad than you realize.” Dad’s posture seemed to soften as he placed a hand on Bradley’s shoulder. “You are so much like your dad already.” Bradley moved away from him, his stance defensive as he glanced over my dad’s shoulder at me.
“I can’t have this conversation here, not with Lemon here.” I smile, Bradley gave me the nickname Lemon when I was five, the sandy-haired eight-year-old told me I was like a lemon because I was sweet sometimes and I was sour sometimes. I don’t remember the last time someone called me by my actual name after that day. Dad gave me a sympathetic look as he shut the doors to his office.
After that Bradley left. I wasn’t sure where he was going because he didn’t make it into the naval academy as he had originally planned, but after that day he was just.
Gone.
His letters started to come weekly and by month one I have accumulated around ten letters from him, just talking about anything he wanted to talk about. How he missed me, he’d tell me he was safe but regardless of how many times I would as he would never give me an exact location.
By year two of Bradley leaving the letters stopped coming as frequently, maybe once or twice a month.
By year four I was lucky to enjoy getting one at all, his contact had become nonexistent, birthday cards never came, and letters were few and far between. The box I had remained relatively empty. He had gone from being my best friend to a stranger in a matter of four years. The pictures stayed like a time capsule, our last happy moments together hung up on my wall like a museum.
He didn’t show up to my mom's funeral. He knew it was happening. I sent him a letter, I told him that she had asked for him before she died. He didn’t seem to care though, if he had cared he would have shown up.
It’s been years at this point. I’m 34 now, and California is treating me well. I ended up at the naval academy right out of college, and then graduated top of my class at TOPGUN. I am one of the best female pilots there is. I take my last name seriously and while my father could have pulled some strings to get to where I am today, I can proudly state that I did this all on my own.
Lieutenant (y/n) “Lemon” Mitchell at your service.
Tumblr media
“Lemon your father is causing trouble again.” Sighing I began moving from my group of friends across the bar to my father, I notice he was keeping a conversation with a beautiful woman. Just as I was to approach I watched as she rang the bell.
“Sorry Maverick, but rules are rules.” My father chucked as the bar erupted into cheers and applause. “I guess this round is on me.” My father smiled before turning his gaze to me. “Penny, this is my daughter (y/n).” I smile softly, “everyone calls me Lemon.” Penny nodded in understanding before the bar began to flood with patrons all throwing random drinks on my dad's tab.
I stood off to the side and chuckled as his tab kept rising. Not noticing a man walking towards me.
“You’re new around here aren’t you? I think I’d remember a pretty little thing like yourself.” I glance up. A brown-haired book smirks down at me, an all-knowing gleam in his eye. “I’m Jake, callsign hangman if you are into that kind of stuff.”
Realizing now that I didn’t look like a navy aviator in my civilians I decided to play along.
“Woah, so that makes you like a pilot right?” I pretended to sound interested. His smile grows wider as he continues to talk my ear off about the job that we share, unaware of my status.
“I just realized gorgeous I never actually got your name.” Hangman grew quiet at the sudden realization. Letting out a soft laugh I go to share my identity.
Before I get the chance I’m stopped by a familiar voice.
“That would be Lieutenant Mitchell, callsign Lemon.”

(I do not know what came over me, but okay). I was looking at the concepts for the yandere simulator and thought… and what about the endings?
I mean… Ayano can't just walk up to senpai at the end of the game and say, "Hi, dude! For ten weeks, strange things happened to the girls you talked to, and people at school disappeared, but now I'm here to say that you are the love of my life. MARRY ME OR I'LL MARRY YOU TO MY KNIFE!.."
Even if it was a normal dialogue, it's still weird. The girls around senpai may appear again, and Ayano is too worried to approach him. She hadn't talked to him in weeks, why would he love her? The boy is already stressed, and here again someone is trying to approach him!
So what? Eternal murders?
So I thought about what Ayano might have… different endings based on how she treated her rivals and senpai.
Let Ayano prepare the ground for conquering senpai's heart from the very beginning of the game! She's watching him, isn't she? So she knows what things he likes. Let Ayano give him gifts for ten weeks, leave delicious things in his locker, cook food for him, secretly send him messages and generally do everything to get his heart!.. (That is, to be a secret admirer). Or does nothing.
Based on Ayano's behavior, I suggest several endings, because I have nothing to do.
If Ayano killed most of her rivals and did not give gifts to senpai
~If Ayano kills a lot and doesn't bring senpai some goodies, then she will get a "neutral ending" as a result.~
"S-so you're saying you... want to get to know me... better? Sorry, I… I doubt I'll ever be able to make a new friend. All the girls I talked to either mysteriously disappeared somewhere or were found dead… I think I'm cursed. I don't want anything as terrible to happen to anyone in this school as happened to them. So… Don't ever come near me again"
"N-no… senpai… I can't leave you after all I've done for you! I struggled so much, only for you to refuse me this way?! Those damned girls have prevented me even now! I think… To be happy, I have to follow in my mother's footsteps."
"Oh, I... understand. I'm sorry, I won't bother you anymore."
When senpai returns home late at night, someone suddenly attacks him from behind. He is turned off with the help of medication, and he wakes up in some kind of dungeon, his eyes are closed, his body is tied to a chair by someone. A nervous giggle is heard from the darkness, as well as a familiar voice: "You didn't think that some rumors would stop me, did you?"
Ayano got her senpai. But they will never be as happy as they could be.
If Ayano killed most of her rivals, but gave gifts to senpai
~If Ayano kills rivals and brings goodies to senpai, then she gets a "bad ending"~
"So it's you who sent me this letter? What did you want to talk about?"
"I want to confess to you, senpai. I've been your secret admirer for the past few weeks. I didn't know how to approach you, so I left things in your closet, on your desk and next to you that I thought you might like. I hope you enjoyed my gifts."
"Did I like the gifts? How could I focus on them when people around me were dying or disappearing without a trace?! And… how did you find out what I like if we never talked? Have you been following me?! And I heard that similar events took place several decades ago, when she fell in love with a boy… You know… can't be connected to this story, right?.."
"I always knew you were smart, senpai. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why I fell in love with you. But now there is no point in all this"
"W-what do you mean? I'm not going to accept someone's feelings when my friends are dead! W-wait… Wait, what are you doing? D-Don't come near me! DON'T COME NEAR ME!..
Ayano had no choice but to kidnap her senpai and bring him to her basement. Senpai, who quickly guessed the situation, could only hope for salvation from outside. But all the people who could help him were destroyed by Ayano. Senpai will never love Ayano as much as she would like. Senpai could only hope that he would lose his mind quickly and not feel any pain…
If Ayano made friends with most of the rivals (or removed them without taking their lives) and did not care about senpai in any way
~In this case, Ayano gets a "neutral end"~
"Hey, aren't you a friend of my friends? I'd like to talk to you."
"S-senpai? Is he inviting me under the sakura tree? I must go with him immediately!"
"I heard that you helped all my friends a lot… they often talk about you when we cross paths with each other. I wanted to thank you for taking care of them and giving them the help I couldn't give them! Perhaps there is something I can do to repay you for all your efforts?"
"There's nothing special I'd like to ask for, but… Senpai, I heard that the fall festival will be held at the school soon. You want… come with me?"
"Oh, of course! We could go with our whole big group and have a good time! I think we can agree on when and at what time we are going. And now I'm sorry, I have to go."
Ayano turned around and followed her senpai with her eyes. She didn't know if she could win his love, especially when he was surrounded by so many girls, but just the thought that she could become his friend filled her with love… and determination.
If Ayano made friends with most of the competitors and took care of senpai
~She will also list her rival friends and what she has learned from them. The more such friends Ayano has, the more plausible her confession looks to senpai. And this is how our "good end" has finally come!~
"It was you who asked me to meet under the sakura tree. If anything… what do you want to tell me?"
“Yeah… Senpai, as soon as I saw you, I realized that I wanted to get to know you better. I decided to get to know the people around you to understand how I can attract your attention.
Osana-san told me a lot about your childhood and about what things you like.
Amai-san taught me how to cook the sweets that you like the most.
Kizana-san told me what works of literature you like, based on which films were made, she taught me to be confident and helped me find strength… to stand in front of you.
Oka-san told me what your favorite horror stories are, what horror movies you like… she also suggested that I summon a demon so that he could protect you from all troubles.
Asu-san told me what kinds of sports you like, and also helped me become stronger.
Muja-san told me how to take care of your health, and also advised a store where I could buy some warm clothes for you in the cold season.
Mida-sensei… well, she helped me better… allocate time and… understand myself?..
Osoro-san taught me how to fight and defend myself as well... as you, senpai.
Hanako-chan shared with me many of your hobbies, and also helped me to better understand you and your lifestyle.
Megami-san helped me make a schedule for the day and taught me not to be distracted by unnecessary things, so I had more time to please you… senpai.
My - our - friends have helped me a lot. They helped to make a lot of gifts, which you talked about later to the whole school. I just want you to know… I've been your secret admirer all this time"
"Y-you… are you serious now? I've been trying for ten weeks to figure out who it was, and it turned out to be… you! I'm so glad it wasn't some creepy stalker or something! Ayano-chan… thank you for making almost every day brighter. If it wasn't for you, I would hardly be able to enjoy my school days."
"Senpai, I'm happy to see such a beautiful smile on your face… And I only dream that you will make me as happy as… me. I love you, senpai. I love you more than anything in the world"
No more words were said. Ayano and senpai shared their first kiss under a cherry blossom tree, whose petals slowly fell on their heads, as if blessing their relationship with their touches.
Senpai doesn't need to know that his friends were just used to find out more information about him. From now on, senpai will live a happy and fulfilling life… the same as Ayano. He will be with Ayano forever, and now that the lovers have kissed each other, even a thousand girls will not be able to separate them.
After a while, Ayano brought her senpai home to meet his parents. Ayano's mom gave them both a kind and proud smile, saying only one thing: "I'm proud of you, daughter. You did everything much better than I taught you."
Senpai didn't quite understand what the woman meant. But he doesn't need to. Now that he found himself in Ayano's loving arms voluntarily, he doesn't have to worry about anything.
He will be happy with her… all their eternity.
If Ayano has a low reputation and she took care of senpai
~In this case, Ayano gets a "bad ending"~
"Who could have called me here?.. Oh, it's you! I'm sorry, I must have the wrong place… I'm leaving right now!"
"S-stop, senpai! You've come where you're supposed to. I wrote you this note. We need to talk."
"I don't think we have anything to talk about. Listen, I don't have much time, so there's something important you don't want to say…"
"All those gifts that you received… I was the one who sent them. I was your secret admirer."
"You? Wait… YOU?! I refuse to believe it! Someone like you couldn't do such good things for me."
"But it was me. I did it for you and only for you. I want you to feel my love in this way."
"I can't admit your love. People have been saying for a long time that you've done things that I personally don't like. I can't start dating someone who's as weird as you."
"N-no, senpai, wait! I lost my reputation because I was trying to get to your heart! Please, senpai, don't leave me after everything I've done!.."
The next day, Ayano did not come to school, as well as in the following days. The students started whispering that it was all because of her reputation. In a mystical way, senpai, who had been communicating with Ayano before, suddenly disappeared.
Ayano could have kidnapped senpai, but he knew what kind of person she was. Senpai will never love her the way she wants.
If Ayano has a low reputation, she killed most of the rivals and took care of senpai.
~Another "bad ending"~
"Why did someone call me to this place now when everything is restless? Oh, it's you! I'll leave here, I think…"
"Wait, senpai. We need to talk. It's about those gifts you've been receiving all this time. This… I was your secret admirer."
"You, was it YOU all the time?! W-wait, it couldn't have been you! We didn't even really communicate, and all the gifts seemed to have been created especially for me!.. Did you find out what I like by following me?! People around said you were weird, but I didn't think you were that weird!..and… and all my friends… I heard the students say that you walk around the school with a gun! You know… you couldn't have killed them, could you? Why are you silent?! Answer me, answer me now! N-no! Don't come near me! Put that syringe away! W-what are you going to do with?!."
Ayano could kidnap senpai, but she would never get his love. She can only drive him crazy or die herself, because senpai, whom she has fallen in love with, will never accept her true feelings.
If Ayano has a low reputation, tooks care of senpai and made friends with most of her rivals
~Here Ayano also lists how each opponent helped her. This is a "good-neutral ending"~
"So, did you call me under the sakura tree?.. I hear you're a friend of my friends, but I'm not sure we should be here. I mean… If someone sees us together, I'll be in trouble. No offense."
"Yes, of course, senpai. I won't keep you long. The thing is, I am… I was the one who sent you all these gifts. I wanted to get to know you better, but I was afraid to approach you. Then my reputation began to decline, and I wasn't sure if you would be ready to talk to me. I decided to learn more about you from your friends. They really helped me to understand what kind of person you are… Listing which opponent helped Yandere-chan. And that's why I wanted to ask… maybe you'd like to come with me to… a date? Even though people are talking about me?"
"This… really unexpected news. I would never have thought it was you who sent all these gifts. Thank you! I think… if my friends think you're a good person, then the rumors are just lying! I'd love to go on a date with you!"
Ayano couldn't be sure that her relationship with senpai would last long. People said bad things about her, and senpai could leave her at any moment. That is why, while her beloved is in her arms, she will try to do everything to bind him to her… forever.

Wednesday came and Belle arrived home after her late class.  All she wanted was a shower and some food.  Lila wasn’t home, having gone on a date with Bucky.  She sighed as she looked over her mail.  A letter caught her eye. “Manhattan School of the Arts” it said.  She trembled as she opened the envelope.
Dear Miss Davis,  Thank you for sending us your resume and school records.  Pending receiving your state credentials, we are pleased to offer you a position as a teacher for our First-Grade students.  Training would begin in June and the school year would start August 1st.  We offer our congratulations on your pending graduation and look forward to working with you in June.  Sincerely,  Headmaster David Zolinski Manhattan School of the Arts
Belle couldn’t believe it.  She did it.  She was finally a teacher.  She snapped a photo and sent it to Lilia.
B: I did it! L: Congrats! Celebrate Friday? B: Can’t this weekend L: Why? B: With Steve L: even better celebration. TTYL? B: Say hi to Bucky for me L: He says congrats.
Belle wanted to celebrate.  She sent the same photo to Steve.
SR: Congratulations B: Thank you SR: We’ll celebrate on Friday B: OK
She was deflated.  She hoped for more.  She quietly made dinner and sat watching a cooking show when she heard the doorbell.  She opened her door and was surprised by Steve.  “What are you doing here?”
“I realized that you just had a major life accomplishment and that Lila wouldn’t be here.  You should be able to celebrate in the moment.”  He held up a bottle of Prosecco and a paper bag.
“Are you allowed out by yourself?”
“I have security.  They are downstairs.”
“Bucky approved?”
He chuckled.  “Bucky approved.  Can I come in?”
“Oh shit, sorry.  Yes of course.”  Steve walked in a deposited a kiss as he passed.  Belle felt her head start to swim from lack of breathing.  “Umm, let me grab some glasses.”
Steve noticed the uneaten plate on the coffee table. “You haven’t eaten?”
“I just got home from school.”
“It’s late.”
“Yeah, it’s the only time for this particular lab.  And it was rough.”
“How so?”
“Had to find a new lab partner.”
“Why?” Belle hesitated. “Isabella, tell me,” he ordered.
“Because my old partner is Scott.  And we’re not talking right now.”
“You spoke to him about Saturday.”
“I did.  And he said some things that upset me so I told him I wouldn’t speak to him unless he apologized.  Which he hasn’t done.  So, I asked MJ to be my partner.”
“MJ?”
“Michelle Jones.  She is Peter’s fiancé.”
“You have a few friends.  I didn’t know that.”
“Yeah, just the six of us. Well, you and Bucky can be added, I guess. I mean if we are friends. Wait. I mean, I don’t mean we’re not friends I just mean…” She stopped.  “How long are you going to let me ramble?”
“I don’t know.  It’s cute when you do it.” He laughed.  “We’re friends Isabella.”
“Just friends.”  She sighed and took a bite of her now cold food.
“Isabella?”
“Sorry, I’m just working through it.”
Steve cleared his throat and tried to change the subject.  “So, I brought you a dessert.”  He revealed two slices of cheesecake.
“I love cheesecake.  Thanks.”  She tried to smile but it wouldn’t reach her eyes.
“Isabella, talk to me.”
“Why are you here?  If you don’t want this type of relationship, why are you here?” Steve went to reach for her hands and she pulled away. “No.  I want an answer.”
“I do want a relationship, just not a romantic hearts and flowers type of relationship.  But you’re right.  We do need to be friends for the type of relationship I want to work.  You have to be able to talk to me and you don’t right now.”
“I don’t?  I told you about this.” She held up the letter.
“But it’s the first time you’ve ever done it.  Please Belle, I’m trying.”
“I don’t know if I can do this.”
“What?”
“Be like this.  Submissive.”
“Its not just that. We will spend time together when we are together on the weekends.  Just try.”
“One weekend?”
“One weekend. That’s all I ask.”
“Does it have to be this weekend?  I have to start studying for finals.”
“When are finals?”
“Two weeks. Graduation is in three weeks.”
“Ok, two weeks then.” Steve took a bite of his dessert to let the room calm.  “I have to ask, I need a date for a benefit on Saturday.  I would like to ask if you would be my date.”
“I thought…”
“As friends, Isabella.  Just as friends.  I don’t expect anything else.”
“I don’t have a dress or anything.”
“Tell you what, this weekend, stay with me and we can get to know each other more.  I’ll take care of everything else.  No more, no less.”
“Like a sleepover.  So we can gossip in our pjs?”  Belle quirked a smile.
Steve chuckled and shook his head.  “Whatever you want.  Movies, pizza, the works. I just want to be with you for now. I want you to trust me.”
Belle could see the honesty in his eyes.  “Ok.  This weekend.  Sleepover. And a benefit. No big deal.”
Tumblr media
Belle walked into her new office area in Stark Tower on Friday with a small overnight bag.  She was stuffing it under her desk when Tony approached.  “Going somewhere?”
“What?  I mean, excuse me?”
Tony chuckled.  “The bag Belle.  I’ve never seen you with such a large bag.”
“Oh.”  She looked at the bag.  She knew Steve said he would take care of everything but she just wanted to make sure she was prepared.  “I’m going to stay with a friend for the weekend.”
Tony furrowed his brow.  “Doesn’t seem like a lot of stuff.”
“Yeah,” Belle scrambled.  “I’ve stayed there before and have stuff there.  No need to add to my drawer there.”  She laughed at her excuse.
“Boyfriend?”
“Excuse me?”
“Is the friend you are staying with a boyfriend?”  Tony was on high alert.
“No, just a friend.”  Belle fidgeted and cleared her throat, uncomfortable with where the line of questioning was going.  “Did you need anything Mr. Stark?”
“No Belle.  Just get started with the usual.  Need to go through my schedule in a few.”
“Ok, no problem.”  Belle turned on her computer to get to work.  A new email popped in her inbox.
From: [email protected] To: [email protected]   Subject: Personal Pick-Up Service Isabella, I look forward to our weekend together.  Bucky and I will be by to get you.  What time? Steven Rogers CEO, Grant Industries.
Belle tried to keep calm. She knew Steve had infinite resources and it wasn’t like her email was a top government secret.  It was just unusual to see it without knowing where he got it.  She calmly typed out a reply to the super soldier CEO.
From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject RE: Personal Pick-Up Service My, to have the CEO of a major corporation in the palm of my hand.  I am done at 6PM.  I’m looking forward to our weekend as well.  See you later. xx Isabella Davis Intern to Tony Stark President, Stark Industries
Steve read her response and laughed.  She did have him in the palm of her hand, and he would gladly let her live there.  Wednesday was interesting.  He learned so much about Isabella in just a few hours.  Whether she realized it or not, she ate the same way with all of her food, needed to taste all the flavors at the same time.
She always played with her hair, rearranging it several times until it was in a knot on the top of her head.  The way she slept very peacefully.  She had fallen asleep against him, and he very gently picked her up and placed her in her room. He covered her up and pressed his lips on her forehead before he left.  He took her keys to lock the apartment and then slipped them into the mail slot.  He sent a message to Bucky to tell Lila about them.
As he made his way downstairs, Clint held the door open for him.  “Cap.”
“Barton.  Thanks for doing this on such short notice.”
“Not a problem Steve.” Clint closed the car door and climbed in the driver seat.  “Is she ok?”
“I believe so.”
That night stayed on Steve’s mind along with their first night together. Bucky wasn’t super happy that Steve had gone out but at least he had Clint with him.
The end of the day came quickly and Steve and Bucky headed to the Stark Tower. “So Punk, are you ready to have your life taken over by a girl?” Bucky snickered.
“Show some respect Jerk. She already took over and you know it.”
“Why are you making such a big effort Steve?  She really worth it?”
“Yes, she is.  Is Lila worth it?”
“Ok fair.  I’ve just never seen you this way before.  Not with the other girls, not with Sharon or…”
“Don’t say her name.” Steve clenched his jaw. He didn’t need the reminder.
Bucky looked contrite.  “I’m sorry pal.”
Steve counted to ten, needing to relax before he saw Isabella.  His girl. Just her name became a talisman for him.  “Its ok Bucky,” he finally said.  He looked him in the eye.  “She’s different.  She challenges me.  She has something that none of them, including …” he swallowed.  “None of them had it.”
“This won’t be the usual contract, will it?”
“I don’t know.  The next two weekends will be the test.”
“Understood.”  Bucky glanced at the entrance and jumped out of the car.  Steve followed his gaze and saw Belle with her bag.  He opened the door just as he heard her say thank you to Bucky when he took the bag.
“I thought I told you I would take care of everything this weekend.” He kissed her cheek and took her hand.  He guided her to the open door and she slip in.
“I know, but I wanted to bring some things that give me comfort. You know, for my room.”  Belle looked down at her fingers.
Steve caressed her cheek, “My Belle, don’t be embarrassed.  I didn’t mean you couldn’t bring anything.  Forgive me if that’s what you thought.”
She looked up and smiled.  Steve was dazzled. “Thank you, Steve.  Its just some of my favorites that I have extra.  I thought I could leave them there.”
“That is a wonderful idea.  You know I would have bought you anything you wanted.”
“I know.  But some things cannot be purchased.”
“Really?”
“A stuffed bunny that my parents left me?”  She raised her eyebrow.
“Fair enough. I thought we could head to dinner.  Casual, nothing formal.”
“Sounds good.”
Bucky drove them to Brooklyn, to a little mom and pop restaurant.  Belle smiled. She jumped out of the car as soon as it stopped and ran into the restaurant.  Steve and Bucky exchanged a look before Steve exited the vehicle. He walked in to see Belle being embraced by an older woman.  Steve cleared his throat. Belle looked over to Steve.
She turned to look at the older woman and spoke in flawless Italian. “Mamma sono Steve. Mi ha portato qui per un appuntamento a cena.” (Mom this is Steve. He brought me here for a date.) She smiled, “Steve, this Mamma Maria Capolini.  She runs the restaurant.”
Signora,(Ma’am) Steve greets her with a handshake.  The lady takes his hand and inspects him.  She doesn’t say a word but after a moment, she reached up to Steve’s face and kisses both cheeks. She lets him go, kiss Belle on the forehead and heads to the back.
Belle takes Steve’s hand and heads to a table in the back.  “She approved of you. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the entire city.”
“You know her.   Well.”
Belle blushed.  “Dad and I would eat here at least once a week.  Momma, she taught me to cook and I learned Italian.”
“That’s beautiful. I wanted to bring you to somewhere with the best Italian besides going to Italy itself.”
Momma appeared again with some anti pasta and bread.  She looked at Belle. “Vino?”
“Grazie.” She came back a moment later and filled two glasses with red wine.
“Isabella, tell me more. What secrets do you have?” Steve took her hand from across the table.
“Not many more, I guess.  I speak Italian, obviously, Spanish, French and English.  My dad wanted me to well versed. I stopped before I got to German and Japanese because I only wanted the romantic languages.”  Belle flushed, forgetting to filter her words.
“That is very sweet.”  Mamma appeared again with two plates of pasta. “Buon Appetito.”
“Grazie,” Steve replied, and they ate.  Steve enjoyed the little noises Belle would make as she ate. “Isabella, did you want to talk about this weekend?” Belle stopped and looked up at Steve.  She swallowed her bite and nodded.  “So tonight, after dinner, I thought we could go back to my place and just talk, get to know each other.  Saturday, I would love to take you shopping and lunch before the charity event in the evening.  On Sunday, brunch out on the waterfront.  Does that sound ok?”
“Sounds like fun.  But you don’t have to take me shopping.”
“I want to.”
“I don’t have much of a choice, do I?”
“You always have a choice.” Steve looked sad.  “I just want to make you feel special.”
“I already do, Steve.  You don’t have to spend money on me to prove that.” Belle smiled. “I just like spending time with you.”  She studied Steve’s face.  “But if it makes you happy, shopping it is.”
He gave her a dazzling smile. “Thank you, Belle.”
They finished the meal and headed back to Manhattan.  Belle wondered what exactly had she gotten herself into.

My height is 5'0. I would describe my aesthetic as girly/soft/cottegecore, lots of long dresses and skirts.
Im not very athletic and im not a big fan of sports but I love to go roller and ice skating. I also love to read books and to also cook and bake food. I also like to garden. I've been playing the violin for 7-ish years. I love animals. I am currently studying in college. I like to Watch nature/animal documentaries. I also like sweets.
Somethings I dislike are people who bend or ruin my books and people who speak over me when im trying to talk.I love music, I can listen to any genre and like it but my favorites are indie, bedroom pop and classic rock. My ideal relationship would be with someone who is loyal and supportive. sorry if i spelt anything wrong. Hope im not bothering you:)
@armin-ocean-eyes You are not bothering me at all. You have such a unique personality.
Which is why I match you up with our lovely boy Canute.

Early Years (War Arc)
• Prince Canute and you both met in your royal court while he was out on a diplomatic mission given to him by his father. Both Denmark and your country had high tensions between each other, which only further heightened when King Sweyn sent his army into the edge of your territory.
• As the princess, you were put in charge of greeting the prince and having friendly relations with him. Well, cordial. It's hard to be friendly with the son of the man who wants to destroy your country. You were pleasantly surprised when you made eye contact with the shy prince. Without even saying a word to him, he ended up hiding behind his retainer, Ragnar.
"My apologies; my Highness is quite shy around new people. I assure you that we only come with the best of intentions."
• You shake your head and assure the both of them that you have no ill intentions either. Over the next few weeks, you learn more about Canute and end up having some sweet conversations with him.
• He always sticks behind you when you walk around the castle together. He will only ever talk to you or Ragnar. He is deathly afraid of your family and freezes up whenever one of the other royals addresses him.
• Thanks to your good relationship, the tensions between your countries have temporarily eased. You will often sit in your study together and teach him the violin. He is quite bad at it, but he becomes transfixed when he watches you play it.
• You show him around the royal garden, and he marvels at all of the foreign floral and fauna that he is not used to. He asks you questions about different plants every few steps. He loves how vibrant and versatile they are.
• When he learns you love to bake, you are practically able to see hearts in his eyes. He confesses his love for cooking as well. You both teach each other recipes from your homelands. He quite often gets flustered while baking with you. When you tease him, he gets defensive.
"H-Hey, it's just hot in the kitchen!"
*laughter*
"Stop laughing-! I swear it is just the heat of the oven!"
• He tries to tease you about your height, since he is quite a bit taller than you. You always end up teasing him back, and then he hides once again.
• On Canute's last day in your kingdom, he gets you a pet cat. He named the cat Sweetpea after the kitchen incident you both had. (You spilled some sweet peas, and Canute tripped over them and brought you down on the floor with him.) He promises to write you and even asks if he is allowed to give you a kiss on the cheek. Ragnar is shook. Shook!
• Over the next few years, you both keep in touch and write letters. Those letters begin to dwindle. One day, he stops sending you letters completely. You know that Denmark and England are at war. You worry greatly. Another two years pass, and you learn of him becoming king.
(Slave Arc & beyond)
• He changed the first time you saw him after all of those years. You now rule your country, and you were scared of him. This time, he hadn't visited to make peace with your country but to wage war on it if you did not give in.
• You tear up and almost cry as he comforts you. He speaks sweet nothings into your ear and speaks of his dream and his paradise. He speaks of how your country is a part of that. Of how you two should be able to rule alongside each other. About how he only threatens you to keep up his appearances as the fierce king of the Northern lands.
He promises you the world. He gives it to you.
• You both catch up on the years that you have missed. You both speak of your fond memories, and you begin to make new ones. Your kingdom joins his, and soon he proposes in front of the royal court.
• Your wedding is beautiful. No expense is spared. He makes you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. He allows you anything you want and fawns over you. He supports you through everything and anything. When he is with you, he is neither a conqueror nor a king; he is just Canute.
● He brings you new scrolls to read and loves hearing you speak of them. You have your own library in the castle that is only for you. Canute always asks for permission before he enters it. He always loves how lovely and cozy you look while reading. He will murder anyone who hurts your scrolls or reading materials.
● He never allows anyone to speak over you. If someone disrespects your opinion, he will be standing quietly behind you and staring at that person menacingly. He will shout at his court to quiet down when you enter the room.
• He isn't the biggest fan of PDA but he loves holding hands and sneakily kissing the side of your face. No one in the castle questions it. Of course, they rarely see it. Wulf cracks a smile when he sees you two together.
• When having hallucinations of his dead father, he always seeks you out. When you lovingly trace and kiss all of his scars, his pain melts away. A few tears come to his baby blue eyes, but he always tries to hide them. He's never had a safe person besides Ragnar. Even then, was that really love? He doesn't know, but he knows that loving you is true love.
• He always asks for your opinion on everything. From political decisions to what he wears for the day, He is very much still Prince Canute around you—a shy and meek, easily flustered boy who is head over heels in love with you.
• He gets you another cat after Sweetpea and names him Sugar because you are the sweetest thing to him in his life.
• You are his only weakness. He is quite protective of you but backs off if you get annoyed or get concerned over his protectiveness. He is just unable to picture a life without you. He loves you more than his paradise. You are his paradise.

Part 21
🌹🌷🖤
Weeks went by. Eddie couldn't get over the fact that he really fucked things up. He felt like he would never get you back now. He spent weeks trying to get ahold of you. He sent so many letters and flowers. Elio never gave them to you though. He had enough of Eddie. He had enough of you hurting. So he chose to shield you from him. Deleting his messages when he called and unplugging the phone when you were there. It probably wasn't a good idea. But he needed to do something.
As time went on you and Billy got closer than before. He started coming over at night just to hold you until you fell asleep. You guys spent all your free time with each other. Sometimes just watching one another work. Most nights you just sat in bed talking. It first started off with how you blamed yourself for what you saw. Then it went to wanting Eddie to be happy. And if that was with someone else that it would be okay. Slowly you stopped bringing him up and looking at Billy differently.
There was something there. He knew it. He felt like you were starting to have actual feelings for him. That wasn't necessarily wrong. Yes, you loved him as a friend and you really did care a lot about him. He was your rock. Your safe place. Billy was a great guy with a big heart. If things were different, you could have fallen for him. But things weren't different and your heart would always belong to that nerdy guy with the brown eyes, breathtaking smile and a beautiful mane. Still, there was something growing. Something that you didn't know what to do with.
Your birthday came and you were gonna go home to celebrate it with Bethany and Matthew. As you got to the airport you said your goodbyes to Billy and Elio.
" You're coming back right?" Billy asked.
You gave him a sweet smile. " Of course. My life is here with you guys."
Billy gave you a hug and a kiss on the top of your head. "I'll be waiting for you when you get back."
You felt your cheeks get hot. "I- I'll see you soon."
You walked away giving them a wave.
Elio clapped Billy's back. " There she goes."
" Yeah." Billy frowned. "I…I'm gonna tell her when she gets back. I'm gonna tell her I want to be with her."
Elio smiled. " How about we throw her a birthday party? And when the right song comes on. Ask her to dance. She loves to dance. Then tell her."
Billy nodded. " Okay."
...
When you got home a wave of relief washed over you. You thought maybe seeing the trailer again would hurt. But it didn't. It was so comforting being home. You didn't get sad anymore about seeing the places you once shared with Eddie. In fact you relished them. Remembering all the laughs and all the smiles that happened there. Being reminded of how loved you felt.
On your birthday Bethany cooked your favorite meal and baked a cake. Wayne joined the festivities. You were so happy to see him doing so well. He had actually become a very important part of your little circle. He felt like a father. One that you wish you could replace your actual one with.
You sat at the table smiling and looking at your family. But the thought of someone missing took hold of you. For a moment you wished for him. You wished he could be here and share in the conversations. To be sitting next to you and get so dramatic while he singed at the top of his lungs, Happy birthday. What would you do if Eddie was here? What would you say to him?
It's been months since your last encounter. It took a while but, you convinced yourself that it was time to move on. Even though you didn't want to move on with someone else. You wanted to just live. To live for you. To enjoy the life you were building for yourself.
It was time for presents and Wayne was up first.
" I uhh I hope you like it darlin'."
You felt through the wrapping paper and smiled. It was a frame. When you tore it open your eyes watered seeing the large picture. It was a family photo of you guys on Thanksgiving. You looked at Eddie who was holding you. He wasn't even looking at the camera. He was looking at you.
You ran your fingers over his face. You had missed that out of everything. Missed the way his eyes made you feel. Like you were the only girl in the world.
You wiped a tear away and got up to hug Wayne.
" Thank you. I love it." You whispered.
Wayne gave a warm hug. " You're welcome darlin'."
You sat back down and Bethany handed you their gift. When you pulled off the bow and opened the small box, your mouth dropped. You picked up the small black and white picture. Studying it, looking for the little peanut. When you found it you looked at Bethany and Matthew.
" You're going to be an aunt kiddo." Matthew said with a beautiful smile.
You had never seen him look so happy.
" Oh my God!" You cried out.
You got up and hugged them both.
A small laugh left your lips." I'm so happy for you guys."
You turned to Wayne. " Did you hear that? I'm gonna be an aunt."
Wayne chuckled. " You're gonna be the best one too darlin'."
You looked back at the picture and covered your mouth. Shaking your head in disbelief.
" This is one of the best birthdays ever."
After the cake you said goodnight to everyone and went to your room. You wanted to get a good night's sleep before your early flight tomorrow.
" She seems a whole lot better." Bethany said.
Matthew hugged her." Yeah it's good to see her happy again."
Wayne gave both of them a hug. " Thank you for letting me celebrate this night with you guys."
Matthew smiled. " Of course sir. You're always welcome here."
Wayne patted his shoulder. " Take good care of that girl. She's really something special."
Matthew and Bethany nodded.
When Wayne started walking home, he saw Eddie sitting on the steps.
He shook his head and went to him. " Son, when I told you she was coming home for her birthday, that wasn't an invitation for you to come."
Eddie ran his hand over his stubble. " I know."
Ever since Eddie told his uncle what happened, Eddie had been on his shit list.
" She's better now. Don't you dare change that."
Eddie looked at his uncle with hurt in his eyes. " I need to apologize. That's it. And then I'm gone."
Wayne walked past him and opened the door to the trailer. " Well you better do it soon. She leaves tomorrow."
Wayne went inside leaving him to his thoughts.
Eddie had been trying to find a way for months to see you. He even started calling the school to see if they could get a hold of you. But you or anyone never got back to him. He truly thought it was over. And all he wanted to do was say how sorry he was. And that he was never going to bother you again.
He sighed as he got up and walked around the trailer and saw your light on. Your curtains were closed but he could see your silhouette through them. He got up to your window and hesitated for a second.
It's now or never man.
He brought his ringed hand up and tapped gently on it. When you didn't come he tapped again.
You had just changed into an oversized shirt, about to turn out the light when you heard it. You put on your glasses when you heard it again. You went to the window and drew back the curtain. The first feeling you had was shock. You hadn't expected to see him standing there. But then your palms got sweaty and you felt heat rush to your cheeks. Trying to gather your thoughts. You unlocked the window and opened it.
" Eddie?"
" H-hey."
" Umm hey."
You took a few steps back as he popped the screen off and climbed in.
" You know. You could have used the front door… I-I know how you hate sneaking through windows."
Eddie smiled to himself closing the window.
You remembered. He thought.
" I uhhh I didn't know if your brother would let me talk to you."
He turned around and looked at you. You were as beautiful as ever.
He saw you tugged at the bottom of your shirt. Trying to cover your wonderfully thick thighs.
Don't hide baby.
You tilted your head a little. " Why?"
Eddie frowned. " A lot of people seem to be mad at me lately."
You shook your head. " He's not mad at you…no one in this trailer is."
Eddie relaxed hearing that.
" Did uhh did you have a good birthday?"
You bit your lip and nodded.
Eddie gave you a small smile. " Good."
The silence after his comment was deafening. Eddie had a plan. He was going to say he was sorry for hurting you. He was going to ask for one last hug then leave. But all that went out the window once he saw you. Once he saw all that pink in you cheeks when you locked eyes.
"Eddie...Why did you come here?"
He rubbed the back of his neck and looked away.
" I…I was just…in the neighborhood."
You let out a little laugh.
God he missed that.
" So you're saying, you just so happened to get on a plane and found yourself back in Hawkins. Now here?"
He chuckled looking back at you. " I guess you can say that."
You narrowed your eyes but had a small smile across your lips." Liar."
He laughed again. But then he stopped and took a step closer to you. When you didn't move he knew. You and him weren't done.
" Y/n I need to explain what happened."
You shook your head quickly and looked away. " No…no you-"
He took another step closer to you. " Yes. I do."
He took a deep breath before he continued. " It's been hard for me since that day in the hotel. I tried to get better…for you. And that day of the show. I was so down because I thought you weren't coming. I really wanted you to be there. The uhh road has been… lonely. I was empty... without you. When I got back to the bus to change, there was a groupie there. I swear I really did want her to leave. But then" he sighed " things got out of hand."
You swallowed the lump that was building in your throat.
" I never meant to hurt you like that. I didn't think I was going to see you again. But you need to know how absolutely sorry I am."
" Eddie, you have nothing to be sorry about. We weren't together."
" But it still hurts, doesn't it?"
When you didn't answer it was all Eddie needed to know. You were hurting. He moved so that you were at arms length.
" Why didn't you call me back? Or respond to my letters?"
You looked up at him. " What letters?"
" I sent you letters for weeks. And I called almost every day. I sent flowers and I left messages."
Your brows pinched together. " I never got anything."
"No?"
You shook your head. " Not a thing."
"If...if you did get them. Would you have gotten back to me?"
You nodded
" Why?"
" I-"
You had to be honest with him. He needed to know.
" I still care about you. I want to know if you're okay. Because Eddie, I still want to be your friend."
" Is that all you want to be?" He whispered
You pressed your lips , hesitating for a moment. "What should I be?"
Eddie lifted his hand and caressed your cheek. You closed your eyes and leaned into it. His big rough hand felt so good. The cool of his rings felt amazing on your warm cheeks.
"I think you know Angel." His voice was soft. The softest you've ever heard before.
" E-Eds" you whimpered when he pulled at your waist. Bringing you a little closer.
He cupped your face. Rubbing his calloused thumb over the apple of your cheek. " Y/n, I'm gonna kiss you. And if you don't want me to. Please… please say no."
You opened your eyes and met his. Your mouth parted as you tried to get more air. You saw Eddie's Adam's apple bob up and down as he swallowed. Moving his face closer to yours. Making your breath hitch. His scent of faint cigarettes, sandalwood and citrus engulf you.
" If you don't want this Angel. Tell me to stop."
When you didn't say anything he pressed his lips against yours.
The kiss took your breath away. You saw the whole Milky way swirling behind your eyelids.
Eddie pulled away panting and looked to see if you were okay. He saw your chest rising and falling so fast. Matching his. You opened and stared at his lips.
Your voice was just above a whisper. " Was she the only one?"
Eddie nodded. " Y-yeah. But I swear-"
He picked you up.
Your hands went up to his chest pulling on his shirt towards you so you could kiss him again. His lips moved from yours to your jaw, down to your neck. He pulled you so that your bodies were pressing against each other. His hands went for your bottom and he did something he never did before.
When he did that, for just a split second you thought you were too much for him. But then he kissed that thought away real quick. You wrapped your legs around his waist and your arms went to hold onto his shoulders as he moved toward the bed.
He laid you down getting on top. He kissed you with such longing. It made your body tremble. You made such a sweet small moan as he pressed his growing length between your legs. That he had to stop himself from taking off your clothes.
He propped himself up and looked down at you. Before he could say anything you put a finger on his lips.
The way you looked at him was a look he would wait a lifetime for. It was the same look you had since you guys became friends. That look that told him he was your everything.
"Eds… Please make love to me."
You lowered your finger and rested your hand over his heart.
" Are you sure?"
" Yes. I want you."
" Oh-okay."
Eddie made love to you over and over again. Once both of you were completely worn out you laid in his arms, outlining his tattoos until you fell asleep.
He kissed your forehead and closed his eyes.
" I love you y/n."
" L-ove y-ou." you sighed
Eddie opened his eyes to look at you. When he saw that you were still asleep he hugged you tighter.
He rested his head back down on the pillow. " Happy birthday Angel. I swear, I'm never letting you go again."
You were happy and sad at the same time. Happy because everything felt right again. Felt whole. But having to leave this comfort that you haven't felt in months was heartbreaking.
The following morning you woke up with Eddie spooning you. His nose was buried in your hair. His soft snores made you smile. You thought last night was a very amazing dream. A very vivid one at that. But waking up in his arms made you silently cry.
You quietly got up and got dressed. You jotted down a note for him. And before you left you went and kissed his bare shoulder.
When you walked to the kitchen table Bethany was cooking breakfast.
She smirked at you." Morning."
You sat down. " Morning."
" Someone had a really great birthday huh?"
" Uhhh yeah. I did."
" So will Eddie be joining us for breakfast?"
Your stomach fell to your ass. " I umm…uhhh."
Bethany laughed. " These walls are super thin."
The heat of embarrassment filled your cheeks.
" It's okay. You actually weren't loud…Eddie was though."
Oh my God!
You buried your face in your hands.
" Did Matthew hear?" You mumbled behind your palms. Not really wanting to know the answer.
Bethany laughed again. " No. He was out after we…well did what you guys did."
" Oh ewww!"
Bethany threw her head back and laughed out loud.
She came over and gave you a plate of eggs and sausage, with a cup of coffee.
" So? Are you guys back together?"
You took a sip of the coffee and shrugged.
" Do you want to be?"
You started picking at your eggs. " I don't know."
She sat down next to you and grabbed your hand.
" Maybe that's a good thing."
" You think?"
" Sweetie, I think that you and Eddie should take things slow. Be his friend…I know last night might have been amazing and it probably felt like old times. But…you're doing so good now. I would hate to see you fall back into that depression again."
" Me too."
Bethany smiled and let go of your hand. "Just go slow. And remember there is no rush to jump back into things with him."
You nodded and reached for the note in your back pocket.
" Could you give this to him when he wakes up?"
She took it. " Sure."
After breakfast Bethany drove you to the airport. When she got back she went to your room. Eddie was still knocked out.
She went to shake him awake.
Eddie practically jumped up." Shit! I-I umm sorry i-"
She shushed him and smiled. " It's okay. Calm down. It's just me."
Eddie sighed and looked around for you.
" She had to leave. But she gave me this for you."
Bethany handed him the note.
" Can I ask you something?" She said sitting at the opposite end of the bed.
" Y-yeah."
" If you guys got back together. What do you plan on doing with work?"
" What do you mean?"
" I want to know what's going to happen with that. I want to know if you're willing to stick around this time."
"I-I. Do you think I should give up my career?"
She shook her head. " Absolutely not. But she is my family and I won't have her get hurt again."
" I n-never wanted to hurt her."
" I know. But the truth of the matter is, you did. And no amount of I'm sorrys is going to take it back. If you're not ready to be with her. Then don't. Don't give her hope."
Eddie rubbed the back of his neck." Do…do you not want us to be together?"
By Bethany's tone it sounded like she didn't.
" It shouldn't matter what I want. What matters is what's best for the both of you."
"She's what's best for me Beth. "
Bethany gave him a small smile. " If that's true. Prove it. Just because you guys spent the night together doesn't mean you're automatically a couple again. You need to figure out a way to be with her. Not like how you were before. Because this time. I'm sorry to say it. But it won't work out if you guys go back to that. So either change something or just let her go. Let last night either be a new start for the relationship. Or let it be a beautiful goodbye."
Eddie stood quiet. He thought last night was going to lead you guys back to each other. He thought that you giving yourself to him, that you wanted him back. But why did it feel like Bethany's words were how you felt?
Bethany saw the gears turning in Eddie's head. She put a hand on his leg.
"Don't think that I'm trying to pull you guys apart. You're my family too. I care about you Eddie. I want to see you and y/n make it. Just please. Please be ready for this."
Eddie nodded and Bethany got up and gave him a kiss on the top of his head.
" Now. Get up and get dressed. I made breakfast."
Eddie watched as she got up and went to the door and stopped. She turned around. " By the way." She giggled. " Next time you choose too have sex when we're here. Probably not be so loud. Matthew would freak out if he heard."
" Fuck!" Eddie looked away from embarrassment. " I'm so sorry."
Bethany laughed again. " It's cool. Just uhhh be mindful yeah?"
Eddie nodded.
When she left he opened the note.
Morning Eds,
I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye. I had to leave early. I just wanted to say I had a really great time with you. I know that I said I wanted to be your friend. Even though friends don't do what we did. But I really did mean that. I don't know what's gonna happen between us. But I want you to know that I love you very much. And I would still like to be a part of each other's lives. No matter what. I'll always care about you. I'll talk to you soon.
Y/n
Now Eddie had a choice to make. The answer was always the same when he thought about this. That night he found you and your brother on the porch. Since the day you put your life at risk for him. It was you. It was always you. The one he could not be without. That beautifully shy girl that drew funny little comics and loved to dance. His light, his heart, his reason for knowing what true love was at all. To be without you. To not hear your laugh that always made his heart skip a beat. Or not seeing those big eyes full of love for him would be the worst torment. And from this moment forward he chose you. He would choose you. In this life and in the next.
When you got back to Cambridge, Billy was waiting for you with a long stem red rose. The second he saw you he knew you had a good visit. You were practically glowing.
You beamed at him. " William!"
He jogged to you and gave you a big warm hug. Lifting you off your feet a bit. When he put you down he leaned back a little.
"Damn sweets. Do you know how damn annoying E's been without you?"
You frowned. You needed to talk to Elio about Eddie's letters.
" Where is he?"
Billy felt your body tense up.
" He had a swim meet. Why what's wrong?" He said letting you go.
" Uhh. I just need to talk to him."
" Is everything okay? Did something happen?"
You smiled at him. Trying your best to ease his worry.
" It will be fine. Common. I want to shower and nap before we go to eat."
Billy nodded and grabbed your luggage.
Once in the dorm you looked around Elio's side of the room for your letters. But you didn't find anything. Frustrated, you got cleaned up and laid down. So many things were going through your head. Was Elio keeping you away from Eddie? Was he responsible for you not receiving anything? Why? Or was Eddie lying?
No. He wouldn't lie to me.
Then what was the issue? Elio knew you still wanted to be there for Eddie. This whole time you thought Eddie was over you. But after last night, it was clear he wasn't. It was clear you weren't either. However, the past few months have been enlightening. You found yourself again. You were enjoying all the things you loved to do before all this. You were finally that girl you lost so long ago. Was being with Eddie now going to make you lose yourself again? Or would things be different this time? What about the feelings you started to have for Billy? There was no denying them now. You liked him. But was it real? Because after the concert he was there. Always. Making sure you ate. Being there when you cried. He was there for all the struggle. How could you not have feelings for him? He showed up. Like how Eddie used to. When you needed someone to be there. Billy was. At the same time, you still have obvious feelings for Eddie. You slept with him. And by God, did it feel so good. His lips, his hands, his untamed curls that felt like they were made for your fingers to wrap around. The way his body molded to yours. The weight of him on top grounded you. It kept you safe and warm. Like it always did.
So now you had a choice to make. See how things go with Eddie. Or see if there was something more to what you felt for Billy.
Later that night Billy offered to take you to dinner. You still hadn't seen Elio and you were worried that he knew what you knew.
Billy picked you up and had a weird smile on his face. He looked really handsome tonight.
" I uhhh I just have to stop home real quick. I forgot my wallet." He smirked.
" Okay."
When you guys pulled up to his place. He said he had something for you in the garage.
It was dark in there. Then all of a sudden Billy turned on the lights.
" SURPRISE!"
You jumped and covered your mouth at the garage full of mutual friends and classmates.
" HAPPY BIRTHDAY."
You shook your head." Oh my God."
Billy gave you a big hug. " Happy birthday sweets."
" I can't believe you. Holy crap!" You chuckled.
You guys had another moment. Billy looked at you and you couldn't help but like it.
"Hun! God I'm so happy you're home."
Elio came, breaking the tension. He pulled you away and gave you a hug, while Billy opened the garage door and played some music.
" E, I need to talk to you."
Elio smiled. " Okay but say hi to everyone and let's get some food."
You nodded and made your rounds. Thank everyone for coming. You were actually very hungry. And the guys did not disappoint. There was a large white table filled with all your favorites. You filled a plate and were looking for a place to sit. But decided to go and sit on the porch. The night was warm and you could see all the stars. As you picked at your food all you could think about was Eddie. You wondered what he was doing. And if he was thinking about you too.
Elio came and sat next to you.
" Having fun?"
You gave him a thin lip smile. " Yeah. This was really nice of you."
" Well you're my best friend. So I had to do something for your birthday."
You said a small thank you.
" Y/n…I need to tell you something."
You looked at him as he lit a cigarette.
" I…I've been stupid…just know before I say this that all I was trying to do was look out for you."
" You've been keeping Eddie from talking to me."
He looked at you surprised.
" How did you know?"
You looked down at your plate. " I saw him last night…he said he's been trying to talk to me since the concert."
Elio looked at the ground. " I'm sorry."
" E, I get why you did it. But you had no right."
" I was just trying to protect you."
" I know. But still. You knew how badly I wanted to talk to him. You knew how much it hurt me to think that he moved on. If you would have just let me talk to him. I would have been okay."
" Are you sure about that?"
" Yes! I get that it's been a lot on you. Dealing with the broken me. But I'm not broken anymore. I refuse to get like that again. And I need you to trust that I can make the right decisions for myself."
" All I want is for you to be happy y/n. Eddie can't give you that."
" That's the thing. He doesn't need to give me anything. I don't need him. I don't need anyone to lean on or to make me happy. Because I can do that on my own. Regardless of what you think Eddie can or can't do. I know who I am now. And I know that being around Eddie isn't going to break me."
Elio felt awful. He never meant to make you upset and you knew that. But he needed to know that no matter what. You had to deal with your relationship in your own way.
" I really am sorry y/n."
You grabbed his hand. " I know. But I really would like those letters. And for future reference. Tampering with mail is a federal offense."
Elio looked at you and you were smiling.
" Hug it out?" He asked.
You laughed. " Come here."
You embraced each other and laughed.
" So…you saw Eddie huh?"
You pulled away and looked at your plate. You bite your lip thinking about him.
" Yeah."
Elio narrowed his eyes then gasped. " You didn't?!
You felt your cheeks get hot but you didn't say anything.
" Oh my God! You did! You whore!"
You giggled. "Oh I'm the whore? When you have dates with different guys like every other day."
Elio laughed. " I didn't say I wasn't. Just that you are."
You giggled. " It was a really really good birthday."
"I bet! So uhh are you guys back together?"
You shook your head. " No. Umm I don't think so."
" So it was just sex?"
You took in a sharp breath. " I…I don't know what it was."
" What did he have to say for himself?"
" Just that it was a mistake. And that he was really sorry."
" Do you believe him?"
You nodded. " I do. I get it, you know. I can't imagine what he would think about me and Billy sleeping in the same bed."
" But you guys are not together."
" I know. But to Eddie. He probably wouldn't like it. After what I said, that I have feelings for someone else."
" Why are you letting Billy sleep with you?"
You chewed the inside of your cheek and looked out into the street.
" At first it was just comfort. Honestly, if you were the one sitting in the back with me after the break up or even after Boston. It would have been you in my bed all the time…and now I kinda wish it was you."
" Why?"
You hung your head. " I think somehow my mind got fuzzy. Now, I don't know."
" You like him?"
You lifted your head and looked at Billy's car. " I…I think so."
" Is how you're starting to feel similar to have you felt for Eddie?"
" God no. Fall for Eddie was so easy. You know I liked him way before we even talked."
Elio nodded and took a puff of his smoke. " Do you want to find out if there's something to it?"
You swallowed. " Yes and no."
You met Elio's gaze.
" Yes, because I want to know if I feel this way because I actually have feelings for him. And no, because of Eddie."
Elio took another drag. " Well you can't have both."
" I don't want both. I just don't know what the hell is going on in my head."
Elio put a hand on your shoulder. " Well." He sighed. " You found yourself in a sticky situation. But what it all boils down to is, who's there for you when you need them? Who is the first person on your mind when you wake up? And is the last person you think of when you go to bed…which one of them is the one person you cannot be without. You spent months without talking to Eddie. I know you didn't want to but it did help. And Billy is a really great guy. So you got to be honest with both of them and choose….I think you already know who you want. But you're scared. I would be too if I was in your position. Start something new with someone who clearly wants you. Or fix what you started a long time ago."
You rested your head on his shoulder.
" Either way. I'll be here. I got your back."
Billy was standing off to the side when he heard you and Elio talk. He was there for the entire conversation. When he heard that you saw and slept with Eddie, he was beyond angry. And completely filled with regret. He should have told you before you got on that plane. He should have said something. Maybe if he did, you wouldn't have slept with him. But now things are different. You just said that you liked him. So he had to make sure that you knew the feeling was the same.
He couldn't do it tonight though. Not after every you and he just found out. He didn't want to approach you in this state of mind. He was truly hurt by what you admitted to Elio. And he didn't want to force you to admit it to him. But he needed a night. Just one night alone with you. Then he could not only tell you that he had been in love with you since the moment he laid eyes on you. But to show you.
Eddie stayed in Hawkins for a few days to come up with a plan. He missed you more than he ever did before.
After the conversation with Bethany, he thought long and hard about doing the right thing. And he talked to the only person who would be totally honest with him. That wouldn't beat around the bush. His uncle.
Wayne signed after Eddie told him what happened on your birthday and the conversation with Bethany. Obviously refraining from speaking about the extra curricular activities.
" I think Bethany's right."
Eddie looked worriedly at his uncle.
" Make a god damn decision. Is this the girl you see yourself with 30 or 40 years from now? Is she your friend? Or is she your future?"
" She's both. I see everything with her. I want everything with her."
" Then do it. Be there with her…for her. But don't hurt her. You guys were really good pal's before. Be that again. Show her that when push comes to shove. That she will always have not only love. But a true friend who cares about her and her well being."
" Okay. So here's what I'm thinking."
Eddie went on to explain his plan. It was going to be rough and he would have to travel a lot. Schedules were gonna have to change. But it was gonna be worth it in the end. You were worth it.
So Eddie went back to LA and set up a meeting with the guys and with Mel.
" Are you sure this is what you want?" Mel frowned.
Eddie looked at his buddies and nodded. " I want everyone to know that this band is still very important to me. You guys are important. And I'm not going to give up on our dream. I just think...no...I know this is what's best for me."
Gareth patted him on the back and Jeff smiled.
" Alright then. It's gonna be hard moving your dates. But I think I can handle it." Mel said, getting up.
She shook all the guys hands and left.
" So?"
Eddie looked at Gareth. " I'm gonna need some help with finding a place."
" Does y/n know?"
Eddie grinned at your name. " No. But umm. I think she will be happy I'll be so close.
"Damn right she'll be." Gareth clapped his back again.
" And you're sure?" Jeff asked.
" Absolutely positive." Eddie gave him a smirk.
" Alright!" Jeff stood up. " There's no time to waste."
Eddie followed his buddies out of the conference room. Happy that they were excited for him. He thought maybe they would have tried to talk him out of moving. But when they heard it was to be closer to you. They had no doubt that it was a good idea.
Eddie just hoped that you would be okay with him moving to Cambridge.
When they got back from the meeting, you had left him a voicemail.
" Hey Eds. Umm when you get this could you call me back. I have something to tell you."
Eddie immediately grabbed the wireless phone and went to his room.
" Hello?"
" Hey. It's me."
" Eddieee."
He chuckled. " Hey!"
" How are things?"
" They're good. How are things with you?"
" Good. Really good actually."
" That's great to hear. So uhh listen. I umm I'm going to Italy for the summer. "
" Really?"
" Yeah! Umm E invited me to stay with him in his family."
Eddie was actually happy for you. You always talked about traveling. " That sounds amazing."
" Yeah. But umm. So I was wondering. If you have time. Maybe…"
" You want me to come?"
He swore he saw your cheeks blush. And he wished he could see it.
" Well umm I know that you're really busy and probably can't-"
" No. I can make time. It probably would be only for a couple of days. But I would like to go."
"Really?"
Eddie grinned. " Yeah. I have to get back to you on when. But definitely."
" Okay. That would be great. So umm. Just give me a call later?"
" Okay."
" Okay. Well umm talk to you soon."
" Yeah."
" Bye Eds."
" Bye Angel."
When you hung up you were overwhelmed with giddiness. He was gonna try. Maybe you were gonna give him the wrong idea about inviting him. But when Elio asked you. The first person you thought of was Eddie. You wanted him to come. To enjoy the beauty of a new place. A new adventure. With you.
You bit your lip thing about it. Thinking about walking on the beach with him. Feeling the sand between your toes. Sitting at a restaurant, and eating some of the most amazing food you would ever have. With one person sitting across from you. Enjoy it as much as you. It wasn't Elio and it wasn't Billy. It was Eddie.
Eddie's smiley face across from you. Eddie's jokes you were laughing at. His beautiful big brown eyes on you as you watched the sun set. With you telling him he was missing the best part. And he would respond with " No I'm not."
Your thoughts were interrupted when Billy walked in.
" Hey sweets. You ready?"
You looked at him and smiled. " Yeah."
While Billy drove you wondered where he was taking you.
"It's a surprise."
" Not another party I hope."
" No. Wait….you didn't like the party?"
" I did. But umm. I never liked being around so many people. I get umm…"
" Shy?"
You bit your lip. " Yeah."
He chuckled. " Well I think your shyness is charming."
" It's painful sometimes. "
" Is it?"
" Sometimes."
When you guys pulled up to a field you were confused.
He chuckled again. " Well no party. Just something special."
Billy gave you an incredible smile. It was so beautiful and he had this twinkle in his eye that you couldn't help but blush at.
" Umm?"
" Common. We're gonna miss it."
" Miss what?" You asked, watching Billy get out of the car.
He jogged to your side and opened the door. He held out his hand and you took it. He led you to the front of the car and hopped up on the hood. You smiled and got up too.
"Lay down and watch."
You did so and looked up at the stars.
" What am I looking for?"
Billy scooted closer to you and pointed up. " See that star right there."
You moved your head closer to him to see exactly what he was pointing at.
" Yeah?"
He brought his hand down and rested it on his chest. "It only shines for a few minutes every night… I bought it. Well I bought the rights to name it. I want you to name."
You turned your head to look at him. " What?"
" Yeah. It's a birthday present."
" You bought me a star?"
Billy turned to look at you too. " I did."
" Y/n?"
You couldn't believe that. You looked back up at it and wanted to cry. It was the sweetest thing anyone has ever gotten you. And just like that. There was a ping in your heart caused by this beautiful friend of yours.
You faced him again. This time he moved his hand to caress your cheek. You swallowed thickly at his warm touch. That felt nice too.
" I…I love you."
All the air was snatched out of your lungs when he kissed you. And for a moment you kissed him back. You quickly pulled away and sat up.
" I-I."
Billy sat up too. " Look, I know that you have a lot going on right now. And I know about Eddie."
Your head snapped towards him.
"I just really need you to know that I love you very much. I care about you…I know this is difficult because of him. But I promise I can make you happy. I can be here with you. Every day. I can show you what it is like to never have to worry about missing me. To never wonder if I want someone else. I want you. I want us."
You didn't know what to say. It was like the universe was deciding to fuck with you again.
You would be lying if you said you didn't like the kiss. That you didn't feel something for him. But then all you felt was guilt. You kissed him back. And now you felt like you cheated on Eddie.
" I-I…I don't want to ruin our friendship. And Eddie-"
Billy sighed. " I don't want to ruin it either. I just needed you to know that since the morning I saw you. I fell…Eddie is…not here. You're not together…you're with me. You have feelings for me. Let me show you that I'm better. That I can be everything you need and want me to be." He put his hand on yours. " I'm yours…please be mine."
You looked at your hands and blinked a few times.
"I…"
You were sitting out on the balcony on a beautiful early morning in Crema. While sipping on one of the best cups of coffee you ever had, you drew the vineyard.
Italy was so beautiful. Drawing after drawing. Your new sketch book was filled with scenery pictures. This had become a little habit you started a month and a half ago when you finally came.
This small distraction was what you needed. Leaving behind Billy with an unanswered question. Leaving your school work and your troubles there. Eddie hadn't given you a confirmed date for when he was gonna come. And by now you lost hope that he would. You still wanted him to though. You wanted to talk about what Billy had said. But when you talked to him. You felt the guilt consume you. Afraid that Eddie would have nothing to do with you now.
Eddie. You thought.
So, you enjoyed the time you spent there. Eating amazing pasta, going out dancing with Elio. Taking in all the culture and sights. Never did you find a place so beautiful. Only wishing for someone special to share it with. To hold your hand while making your way through the busy markets while shopping for dinner. Or running through the rain hand in hand seeking shelter. Movie type shit.
This trip has been mind clearing if anything. Knowing that Billy wanted you made you feel nice. But at the same time it hurt. Sure, you could admit things were easy with him. Simpler. Things just flowed with him. Still, Eddie was the one you were afraid to admit that you wanted. He was the first person on your mind and the last. Picture a life without his dorkiness and his theatrics was something you just couldn't do. You didn't want to.
As the day went on you wrote a dear John letter. Though you knew Billy deserved more than that. You couldn't bring yourself to have him wait any longer. A phone conversation wasn't a thing you felt was okay either. So you wrote. You apologized for not speaking up that night of his confession. You came clean about your true feelings about him and about Eddie. You thanked him for all that he did for you. Ending it with the sweetest apology you could come up with.
Now all you had to do was send it.
Eddie wanted to make sure everything was ready for when he got back to his new studio apartment. It was just a few blocks away from MIT.
A couple of weeks after the meeting, he found himself in town talking to a travel agent about his upcoming trip to Italy. He hadn't talked to you in a few days. Worried that he would ruin the surprise.
Billy furrowed his brow." H-hey. What are you doing here?"
Everything was ready to go. He had his flight booked and the apartment was ready. When he got into his van he noticed the check engine light came on. Wanting it to be in tip top shape for when he got back, he decided to change the oil. He was walking through an auto body shop to buy some when Billy came up to the counter.
Eddie rubbed the back of his neck. " Hey man. Umm I just need a few quarters of oil."
" Right."
It was very awkward. Did Eddie know about the kiss? Why was he here? Did you know he was coming? Billy's mind raced. So many questions that he was too upset to ask.
Eddie sensed the tension. He tried to brush it off but as he said thanks and his goodbye, Billy stopped him.
" Look man, I don't know why you're here but maybe you shouldn't be."
Eddie turned around and looked at him. " Dude, I live here now."
" What?!"
Eddie took a step back at his tone. " Yeah. Just moved a couple of days ago."
" Why?!"
Eddie stood up straighter. " Because I wanted to be closer to y/n."
Not that it's your business. He thought.
He saw Billy's jaw flex and balled up his fist.
" Man, I came here to work on things."
" Does she know?" Billy spit.
Eddie pinched his brows together. " Not yet. But-"
" Then how do you know she wants you here?"
By the way he was talking and by his body language, Eddie knew that Billy wasn't just looking out for you like how a friend does.
He looked down at your stolen scrunchie. Of course Billy would have feelings for you. Who wouldn't? When he looked back up he could see in Billy's eyes that he cared more about you than a friend.
" I don't know if she will like it that I'm here. But I'm here whether you like it or not."
Eddie turned back around and started for his van.
" I love her."
Eddie hung his head and smiled to himself. " Who wouldn't?"
He looked over one last time. " I love her more."
" Do you?"
Eddie smiled again. " That's why I'm here man."
Billy watched Eddie drive away. He was pissed. He finally had a chance with you and now this guy was here to fuck things up.
Billy made a choice right then and there. He was going to Italy

Neapolitan: A Continuance
A/N:  Hello there.  Wow.  I had intentions of picking this up a few months ago, but such as it is - it’s back.  We left off on New Years Eve…  Yeah.  We’re going to jump right back into it.  This was a hard chapter that sent me into a hesitation.   Please bear with me - there was a lot of storytelling that needed to happen in this chapter.  If you've not read the first parts of the story or Neapolitan - here are the links. You'll want to read the original story first to make sense. Neapolitan   Master List Neapolitan: A Continuance Master List
I also need to say, I do not know the members of GVF or their families.  Jake is my muse and is haunting my brain in so many different ways it’s scary.  This is a total work of my own fiction.

Part 6 Violet POV
Violet took a long drag of her cigarette.  It did nothing for the fire that burned in her belly, nor did it aid in the anxiety that was flashing like a lightning storm through her heart and mind.  The thirteenth of January was bitterly cold and dark and heavy with clouds, but it was too cold to snow to give any relief to anyone.  Jake had gone into town in search of ingredients for some soup he wanted to make to take the chill out.  The letter was delivered within thirty minutes after he had left and resided on the kitchen island.  The words leered at her.  Dug under her skin and preyed upon her in ways that she had hoped would never happen again.
Stumbling over the door jam, she fought to keep her eyes from the official request of her presence.  Legal counsel was advised, but not required.  An informal inquiry request - whatever the hell that meant.  Her face felt numb as she reached for the whiskey.  Her hands were shaking too badly to pour.  Instead she stared at the bottle, unsure of who the hell was whimpering and sobbing because, surely, it was not herself.  Her butt met the floor, her head rested on the cabinet behind her.  Everything felt weak.  Blurred.  Too hazy to accept to be real.
Jake was gone maybe ninety minutes.  Tops.  She remained curled where she landed.  Violet heard the door slide open and closed.  She heard the grocery bags drop on the counter.  She heard his voice against her ear.  She just could not respond.  She could not unsee the awfulness that was ahead and what it would do to them.  It would leak that his girlfriend was abused and did nothing to stop the man to go on and cause more harm - to one of her own close friends.  And then it would get worse.  Jake would be framed as a sick fucker who likes women who want to be beat and bound and fucked sideways or something stupid.  It would cast a pallor over his career and she would be to blame.
“Violet,”  he whispered, voice wobbling with rasp and concern.  “You have to talk to me.  What the hell is going on, baby?”
He cupped her face, both cheeks in an attempt to capture her attention.  She vaguely could feel the wet on his palms and wondered if he had just washed his hands.  Why were there tears on his face?  Why did his eyes look like mirrors of smudged chocolate?  His body was shaking against hers.  He was scared.  Why would he be scared?
Violet tried to step forward.  Tried to reassure him that she was fine.  Why would he be panicking that way?  They should be loving on each other.  Smiling.  Happy.  Making whatever the fucking spicy soup he was raving about hours before.  She was trying to say his name, but her mouth was not working.  He had his phone out, was talking but it was like a foreign language.  Was it Josh he was talking to?  She wanted to say hello, but her throat was closing around a massive lump that seemed to suddenly appear right in the center.  It felt like a sharp ice cube that just wouldn’t go down and you have to wait for it to melt before it would go away, and even though it was melted and gone, you’d feel it for hours afterwards.
Jake was pulling her up to her feet, holding onto her body tightly.  His hands hurt against her skin.  Did he have to hold on so tight?  He was dragging her towards the living room, wrapping a blanket around her before he moved towards the slider door once more.  She did not want to head outside.  It was too damn cold for being outside.  And yet, he was stopping, forcing her ugly, clunky snow boots onto her bare feet before dragging her once more outside.  He was trying to bend her into the passenger seat of the car.  His face was hard.  Fuck.  Was he angry?  Was he angry with her?  It wasn’t like they didn’t disagree, but flat out anger?
The car slid down the driveway with a string of expletives exploding from his mouth.  He made a full stop and seemed to be collecting himself.  He kept saying her name.  The heat was on full blast so why was she so damn cold?  It was like her whole body was shaking.  It was just stupid.  Really.  What the fuck was going on that she couldn’t function.
They were heading to town.  Over the bridge.  The river looked so pretty when it was frozen.  The trees were bent with snow and ice, and just created the prettiest picture.  She had pictures of the spectacle from years past.  Perhaps it was time to take another one.  Jake’s voice called out to her.  Her hand was on the door.  She just wanted a picture.  Why would he react like that?
Violet blinked her eyes and they seemed to appear in town.  The car was parked.  Jake was touching her face again.  Calling her name, but it was like he was underwater.  The sound was not right.  The car door opened and another set of hands was touching her, turning her.
“Dad?”  she mumbled, her tongue feeling like a hundred pound weight.
      “Bear.  Let’s get you inside.”
Her father’s voice was a little clearer than Jake’s had been.  His face was also full of concern.  Behind him, she could barely see her mother.  The woman’s face looked destroyed as her father pulled her out, blanket and all.  Jake fell on the other side of her, with the two men practically carrying her forward.  She did not understand why it was so ungodly bright in the room they took her into.  And it smelled vaguely like work.  Her stomach lurched.  Fuck.  Did she forget her shift?  Did she miss work?  She wanted to wipe at Jake’s face.  She hated seeing him upset.  Hated seeing anything but happy or totally fucked out tears in that man’s eyes.  There was a difference.  These were not suitable for his face.
There was a pinch in her arm.  There was a burn that ran through her skin.  You know.  Naps were wonderful.  Perhaps if she napped, Jake would nap.  And then when she woke up, he would feel better.

Jake POV
Hospital protocol still called for limited visitors.  The ER did not allow visitors until patients were treated and stable.  He sat with Charlie and Madelyn in the waiting room, his heart in his throat and questions spinning around his brain.  Madelyn was holding onto his hand while she was talking on the phone with Ava.  In true mom fashion, she was circling the wagons to protect her baby and just asking for prayers and positives to be thrown her daughter’s way.  Down to his very core, Jake felt fear.  He had never seen anyone in such a state.  He could barely register that she was so small against him and totally checked out.  Madelyn must have picked up on his need, holding him close the entire time, while Charlie sat on her other side, stoically trying to figure out what the hell had happened to his daughter.
Just before six, the doctor had come out to talk to them.  She smiled warmly as they stood to greet her.
“It’s not bad,”  the doctor started.  “I need to say that right off.  I know it was probably pretty scary seeing that, but it’s not bad.  I’m Doctor Turner.  I’m going to assume that you are Jake?  Are you the husband?”
He swallowed with a glance at Charlie.  “Uh, partner.”
She smiled again.  “Okay, and these are -”
“We’re Violet’s parents,”  Madelyn said before introducing themselves.
“Well, it looks like she’s got a pretty sound support team here,”  the doctor remarked.  “But Jake is who she has on her admittance papers as contact…”
Jake glanced at Charlie with uncertainty as the doctor led him away to talk further.  Her parents just nodded and moved away to give privacy.  The moment made his stomach churn.  He had never had to be responsible for anyone before, let alone someone whose parents were standing right there.
“We’re looking at a pretty severe panic attack.  She is physically fine.  Who found her?”
Jake grimaced.  “I did.  I came into town to get some things for dinner.  She was in the kitchen when I got home.”
      “Was she alone?”
He nodded.  The thought of whatever caused the episode was going to be waiting for them when they did get home.  He tried to think back to whatever it could have been that would cause her to panic, but was drawing a blank.
“So, we’ve given her something to help rest.  I suggest talking to a mental health specialist.  We do have a person on staff if she doesn’t have someone right now.”
“Uh, I have the contact info.  She has regular therapy,”  Jake said stiffly, unsure if her parents knew the full scope of what Violet was having to do to be Violet.
“Oh, very good.  I would suggest contacting them as soon as you can.  Do you know if she has a pending appointment?”  the doctor asked, her full focus on him.
“Every Monday, but is reachable if she needs more,”  he answered.
The doctor nodded.  “The most important thing here is for her to rest and be in contact with her therapist.  If she continues to have these symptoms, she will need to consult with her primary care provider.  There may be something that they can do in the long term for treatment.  I’ll get the paperwork going to release her.  Jake, if you’d like, you can come on back.  She’s been asking if you could come in.  I see no reason for you not to be with her.”
“We’ll stay,”  Charlie assured as he started to follow the doctor.
Jake nodded as he walked quickly to catch up.  The doctor held the heavy door open for him and he slid through.  His heart felt heavy in his chest as she waved him into the second room.  Violet was curled up in a load of blankets, her face still and calm.  He looked at the doctor once more, and she just smiled encouragingly as she moved towards the desk space on the right.
The room was warm, and almost felt cozy with the lights turned low.  He stepped inside as quietly as he could.  She startled, but smiled as he drew near.  He touched her arm and reached with his other hand for hers.  She blushed and turned her nose into the pillow.
“How you doing, gorgeous?”  he whispered, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
She grinned sheepishly.  “Sorry, baby,”  she started as she tugged him down next to her.
“What do you have to be sorry for?”  His words were like a knife to his gut.  He was trying too hard to sound normal and be comforting.  He lay on his side next to her, tucking her hair behind her ear.  “Just tell me you are okay.”
“They gave me the good shit, so I’m okay,”  she said as her eyes drifted closed.
“You want to go home?”  he asked quietly before pressing a kiss to her forehead.
She nodded.  Violet threaded her hands in his flannel before tucking them inside against his sides.  “I’m so tired.”
“We’ll get you home and we’ll sleep,”  he said as she snuggled into his chest.  “Charlie and Madelyn are out in the lobby waiting.  They want to make sure you’re okay.”
She nodded once more.  A nurse stepped in quietly, papers in her hand.  Her eyes barely drifted across them as she moved around, tucking stuff away before finally expecting attention.
“Alright, Miss Violet,”  she said.  “I have your marching orders, dear.  You feel like you’re ready to go?”
      “Yes, ma’am,”  Violet said quietly.
Jake slipped out of the bed and stood up as she slowly sat up.
“Do you have any questions?”  Violet shook her head.  “If you do, you can contact your primary care provider, or of course the nurse line…  Kind of strange I have to say this to you.  Sorry.”
“Protocol.  It’s fine,”  Violet remarked, swinging her legs to the side of the bed and overshooting a bit.
Jake reached out to support her as stood up, wobbly from whatever they had given her.  He caught her eye to steady her.  She looped her arm through his with a tired smile.
“Or, since the weekend is close, you can call here.  Dr. Turner will be on this weekend, so, be aware of that.  Be sure to contact your primary care provider if these symptoms persist, as well as talk to your therapist.  They will both have techniques that can help alleviate the more minor symptoms.”
She smiled and handed Jake the papers.  He barely glanced at them before she continued on about when to return to the ER if the symptoms worsen in the night.  She pointed out the provider number for mental health reach out that could also be utilized.  Violet thanked the woman quietly as she walked them towards the heavy entrance/exit door.  He kept his eyes fixed to the ugly flat carpet that he couldn’t quite discern if it was supposed to be ribbons or chains or a fever dream of a weaver.  He was pretty sure it was fun to trip on if given the opportunity.
“There she is,”  Charlie called out as they moved together down the hallway into the lobby.
Her parents look relieved to see her.  Jake stood to the side to allow Charlie and Madelyn love on her, though was surprised that Violet swiped a hand out searching for him to hold onto.  He grinned more so to himself as she remained close to him.  They parted with promises to call in the morning - or when she was awake.  He drove her home in silence.  He wanted to ask so many questions, but figured it would not help to barrage her over whatever it was that caused her attack.
He was about to turn the car off and help her inside the house when she stopped him.  Jake waited, though he was sure he may look calm, inside felt like a thousand shards of glass were shredding his gut.
“There was a delivery after you left,”  she said quietly.  The lack of strength in her voice made him want to shake her until she brought his Violet back.  “I’ve been asked to Madison.  The prosecuting attorney is looking for more evidence, more situations, more complainants to fill out the case with Alison.  They would like me to sit for a deposition.”
He felt his eyes close as his breath released.  “I didn’t see it when I came in.  I just saw you.”
“It’s on the island.  I thought it was work stuff,”  she explained.
“Okay.  We’re going to go inside and I want you to head upstairs,”  he said, reaching for her hand.  “I’ll put the groceries away and see if I can put together some sandwiches.  Movies and sleep.  Sound okay to you?  We’ll talk about all that shit tomorrow.  Tonight is just this.  You and me.”
      She nodded.  “Black Sails?”
“You only say that ‘cuz you got a thing for Anne Bonny,”  he teased, cutting the engine.
“I got a type,”  she teased.
He laughed as he touched her cheek.  “Oh baby, you sure do.”

Violet POV
She stirred but it was still dark outside.  Jake had her wrapped tight against his torso and struggled when she tried to move.  She tapped at his bare chest and mumbled about the bathroom.  He let her go reluctantly, all the while he drifted back into deeper sleep.  Violet glanced at her phone, grimacing to find that it was only after four in the morning.
She slid back into bed after taking care of herself.  He instantly had his arm out for her to settle back in.  She breathed in the warm, sleepy scent of his skin as she rested her cheek against him.
“I don’t want to leave this room today,”  she whispered.
“You don’t have to,”  he said, fingers combing through her hair.  “You don’t have to do anything today if you don’t want to.”
She felt the tug of sleep as he rubbed at her neck and back.  Violet blinked and it was suddenly past noon.  Jake was not next to her and the sheets on his side were cool to the touch.  A thin string of curses and grunts and groans fell out of her mouth as she slid out of bed, her whole body sore from being inactive for so long.  He wasn’t in the bathroom.  She poked her head out the bedroom door and listened for a while, realizing that he was not in the house.  Pulling on her ugly fuzzy robe she drifted down the stairs.  Peeking outside, she found him on the deck, phone and smoke in hand.  He glanced back at the glass of the door and gave her a little wave before returning to his call.
Coffee in hand, her eyes moved over the kitchen island in search of her certified letter.  Moving things around, she searched, until Jake made his way inside.  Boots and jacket off, he took a moment to watch her as if gauging what she was doing.  He pointed at the fridge behind her.
“I put it there.  Didn’t want it to get lost,”  he said quietly.
She nodded as she exhaled.  “Thank you.”
He moved past her, reaching for his coffee cup.  “Josh says ‘hi’.  He was checking in.  I, uh, also called Kirby.  She had a five o’clock opening and I took it.  Hope that was okay.”
Jake had sat in on a fair share of appointments with her therapist.  Any time Kirby asked for his support, he was there.  No questions asked.  It was a first for him to reach out, which Violet was sure was a flag for the therapist.  Again, she nodded.  The air felt fuzzy around her.  She was sure it was just her after effect of the sedative they had given her, but she felt like even teeth had grown fur.
“I guess there’s some phone calls I need to make as well,”  she whispered over the rim of her cup, allowing the steam to breathe into her nose.
“I need to know where my boundaries are here, Vi,”  he said softly, eyes downcast.
“I’m not sure what you mean.”
He inhaled deeply.  “I think I spent most of the night thinking about everything I should be doing to help, and I just don’t know.  I can jump in and call legal and see what they can extend.  I have family members as well as family friends who are lawyers that I could call to help.  If you find a lawyer, do you want me to be with you?  Do you want me to stay away?  I can do nothing.  Well…  No.  I can’t do nothing.  Please don’t ask me to do nothing.”
“I…”  She did not know what to say.  “I don’t know the boundaries.  I had to do this mostly on my own last time.  I’m surprised they reached out to me at all, to be honest.”
     “Why’s that?”
Violet blew out a breath.  Her body felt like it was on fire as he looked at her, waited for her to answer his extremely simple question.  Taking a sip of her coffee, she did not know any other way but to let it out.
“There’s a reason why my case fell apart,”  she started, voice level but quiet.  “I did not have to testify, however, my body was the evidence.  I was evidence.  Tim’s lawyers turned me into a sexual deviant.”
Jake’s eyes widened with heat.  She held up a hand to stop him.
“When the victim has questionable sexual practices, it was easy to spin it and reframe it like I asked for it,”  she started shaking as his jaw clenched.  “No matter what I did, testify or not - in person or on video - those lawyers turned me into a w-”
“Motherfuckers,”  he whispered over her.  “Stop.  Just…  What fucking year are we in?  1950?”
“The prosecutor tried to argue that it was slander, that it was casting prejudice onto the witness/victim - me - when any form of this information came in, but the judge allowed that in because it gave background to the victim.  Not the fact that I was in the top of my class in university.  Not that I had a stellar work record with commendations.  Not that I was part of a premiere surgical team in pediatrics that was world renowned for its work,”  she said, her voice shredded and thin like dry paper.  “Even if I removed my presence, those lawyers…  He fucking had me.  Tim still could harm me.”
Jake covered his mouth as if he were trying to force his words not to tumble out.  Violet felt her body slump down on one of the stools of the island.  It had been more than a year since the feel of deep defeat had touched her brain.
“Oh my fucking god, he’s still doing it.  He’s still getting to me,”  she whispered.
Violet shoved her fingers through her hair.  Instead of buckling, she yanked her hair back, sitting up straight and tall.  Her mouth was a hard line as she shook her head.  Jake was white knuckling the counter with a look of anger that was frightening.
     “I need a smoke.”
She watched as he slammed his feet into his boots at the door and walked out without a coat.  She sipped at her icy coffee before sliding from the stool and heading for the stairs.  Her gut felt twisted.  It was more anger than defeat.  Hot and unvented with no way to actually emit without causing harm to everything and everyone around her.  Setting her cup into the sink, she started up the stairs.  Everything felt like it was tied down with cement blocks that were in turn tied with anchors.  She paused as she heard him come back through the door but continued on quietly.  A shower was in order.  She was sure a trainwreck looked better than what she did at the moment.
Water on hot, she stepped out of her robe and ran a brush through her hair.  She looked at her fingers for a while.  They felt thicker than normal.  Unable to hold onto anything like she normally would.  Sliding out of her jams and moving under the spray, Violet gasped at the feel against her skin.  She waited for the sting to subside.  She waited for the shock to ease out through her toes and fingertips and welcome in the hottest heat she could have at the moment.
“Can I come in?”  Jake asked from the open door.
She let the pulse beat on her back for a moment before turning to peek through the curtain.  “I don’t have the fight in me.”
     “I don’t either,”  he whispered.
She pulled the curtain back a bit to let him step in.  He wrapped his arms around her tight, allowing the water’s heat to hold them both close.  There were few things she liked more than the smell of Jake’s wet skin.  She tucked her nose against his neck as they swayed under the water like they were shuffling across a dance floor but not going anywhere.
“Love you,”  he whispered as he pressed a kiss to her forehead.  “Let me care for you.”
Gently, he washed her hair.  Wiping the suds away so as not to allow anything near her eyes.  He washed their bodies together.  Violet kept her hands on him as if she needed to have a touch to ensure he was not going to disappear.  He’d plant little chaste kisses here and there, soothing her, grounding her.  He wrapped them both in towels after turning the water off.  He sat her down on the edge of the tub, taking the time to slowly rub her favorite lotion into her skin and brush her hair.  He grimaced as he took her face cream out and relented for a moment to allow her to finish.
“I can -”  he started, but she pulled him close instead.
“Can we just lay down?”  she asked, nose to the middle of his chest.  “I’m not hungry.  I’m not anything.  Just be with me?”
He pulled back the quilt and they slid in together.  Violet needed to feel his skin and feel his heartbeat.  Jake ran his fingers back and forth around the cap of her shoulder.  In what felt like the span of a few breaths his alarm was making both of them stir.  He barely moved to silence it.  His mouth brushed her skin, breathing life into her once more.
“Violet,”  he murmured into her hair.  “Hey, you awake?”
She drew her nose up his sternum, a move she had done what seemed a thousand times.  Each time, she would breathe him in, wondering if there would ever be a time that he would not stir something within her soul.
“I’ll make us some coffee if you can get us set up in the living room,”  he said, brushing her hair back.
She nodded, but they both seemed reluctant to leave the sanctity of their bed.  A second alarm made him laugh quietly.
“That’s a rarity,”  she muttered.  “Two alarms?”
“I set four,”  he laughed as he turned off the alarms.  “Come on.  We’ll both feel better after a chat with Kirby.”
Tumblr media
Violet watched as Jake made sandwiches for them as soup heated on the stove.  The silence was only disturbed whenever he sliced something or stirred.  Their faces mirrored one another - quiet, contemplative.  Kirby had dug into them both - one for being such supportive partners to each other, but two for being such supportive partners to each other that neither could voice what they needed individually.  She commended Jake for taking those steps to reach out, especially after Violet’s episode.  She commended Violet for being open as to being totally unaware of her own expectations of Jake at that time.  The therapist warned the two that what was ahead was going to require good communication.
She was a bit taken aback by his hesitation to share how he felt about the hospital.  It took a little prying.  She swallowed over his sudden shyness in sharing.  Apparently, in the ER, the attending doctor had asked if he was ‘the husband’.  It was not the label that had upset him.  It was the fear that the doctor would not allow him to care for Violet in the manner that he knew she needed - simply to be with him in that moment because he was not ‘the husband’.  The added “whatever the fuck that means” put the feather in the conversation.
Kirby asked Violet how she had felt about the ‘husband’ label being thrown around in this instance.  Knowing that it was paperwork and assumptions, she had started to voice that it could be a typical assumption since she had put him on the contact sheet, but Kirby stopped her.  She had put Jake down as her contact - something she did not think twice about.  She had to pause.  She never once put that responsibility on Tim.  Never.  Not even during the trips that he supervised to the ER.  He had special privilege and he knew it and abused it.  Jake had looked at her over the admission.
“I want you to know that I’d like to call legal,”  he said.  His dark eyes flicked up to her before turning back to the cooktop.  “They cannot help, I know that, but they can perhaps reach out to someone who can.  I want to protect you.  It is something that I can do.”
His words were not framed as a question.  Violet took a sip of her coffee.  She waited until he turned back to her with plates and bowls.  She nodded and his shoulders visibly dropped as he relaxed.
“Thank you,”  he said as he platted the sandwiches.
The evening was quiet.  Jake practiced for a few hours while she was curled on the couch “reading”.  In truth, her brain was beyond the borders of the house, sitting with Ali in her posh apartment overlooking the Capital and the lake.  She was going to view Violet’s reluctance and outright resistance to assisting with her case as betrayal.  Worse, she knew in her heart that there was no telling Alison why she could not assist her in her trial.  There were things that Violet refused to share with the blunt instrument that was Dr. Alison Mundrow, even when they were very close.  The woman was a brick wall when it came to ideals that were not her own, but would gladly help anyone she could without a thought.
The morning had arrived quickly.  Somehow, Violet had woken to find herself nearly on the edge of the bed with her hand in Jake’s hair, but the rest of her posed like she was ready to escape.  She was expected to tuck into a few of the training modules during the morning, so she slipped out and cleaned up in prep for work.  Jake had barely moved by the time she flitted from the bathroom to collect her laptop and move downstairs to the dining room table.  She had just enough time for coffee and yogurt before the first session started.  Halfway through the second module, she heard his voice upstairs, like he was talking on the phone in the front bedroom.  She retrained her focus, answering questions about protocols and expectations of teams when new members joined.  The third module was going to be the longest, tapping in at over an hour.  She listened to Jake moving around as she fixed another cup of coffee.  He caught her eye as he came down the stairs, dressed and keys in hand.  She held up a finger to her mouth before she moved back in front of the screen just in time as the last of the meeting modules started.
Violet followed along on the planned curriculum, her eyes tracing above the laptop, watching as Jake gathered his breakfast.  Every now and then he would turn to catch her out of the corner of his eye.  He winced and grimaced every time he banged or clattered.  Violet kept having to hide her mouth behind fingers and papers to keep from smiling or laughing.  His phone rang, effectively shutting it down, but she watched as his face turned stoic and he slid into his professional manner.
The rest of her morning was wrapping up the training session, followed by paperwork that she worked on with her partner from the team, Shelli.  Jake remained upstairs until nearly  noon when he brought dishes down.  He peeked around the corner to make sure she was clear before heading into the kitchen with a wave.  He took the time to poke around in the freezer before tapping away on his phone.  Violet watched as he was literally rummaging around the kitchen, setting out ingredients, grabbing pots and pans and setting them out on the cooktop and counter.  Wrapping up the session with work, she shut the laptop and leaned against the table.
“What are you doing?”  she asked, reaching for his pack of smokes on the table.
He stopped.  “I have no idea, actually.  Wasting time I suppose.  Trying to avoid, as Kirby would say.”
     “Avoid?”
He nodded.  “I talked with legal and they got back to me with not just the name of someone to contact, but had her on a conference call ready to talk with me.  Ms. Williams would like to speak with you.  She’s one of the top in these kinds of cases, Vi.  Domestic cases.”
She couldn’t get anything but an ‘oh’ out of her mouth as he sat down on one of the stools.  Violet was already feeling the crawl beneath her skin.  To have to return to Madison was like asking her to walk across flaming broken glass.
“She asked, if it is okay with you, she could visit us here,”  he continued, his eyes strayed to the side and not looking directly at her.  “She said that she is more concerned with you and your sense of safety.  I may have stepped across a line here, but I asked if she could be here at her first available time.  She’ll be here tomorrow afternoon.”
The air rushed from her as she tried to swallow.  He was instantly up, hands shoved in his pockets and pacing, apologizing if he overstepped, he only wanted to…
“Jake, it’s fine,”  she managed, wiping at her face.  “I’m surprised there are still people that do that.  Visit in person I mean.”
“Yes.  She seemed kind,”  he said quietly.  “Understanding of the situation.  My legal fucks are a little freaked out, but screw them.”
“PR nightmare ahead,”  she remarked, missing the sarcasm mark she had aimed for since it was her fear.  The look he gave her made her shake her head.  “Sorry.”
“I’ve been reminded that the band has many under their employ and that they need to take precautions,”  he said quietly.  “Not sure what the fuck that means, but I don’t give a shit.”
Violet felt quiet and retreated.  Jake seemed to pick up on her shift and backed off.  Instead, he reached for a glass of water and a softer tone.
“Tomorrow - do you want me here?”
“As much as I would like that,”  she started, but started to shake her head, “I don’t think that would be a good idea.  I’m sure she will want to discuss some of the really bad shit.”
He looked like he wanted to ask if she was sure, but nodded instead.  “I can make a Hewit run.”
In the space between them, there were words she was sure that needed to be brought forward, spoken gently, heated, argued over, maybe even cried over.  However, she watched as he moved away, reaching for his acoustic and heading upstairs to be alone.  The bruising around her spirit felt close.  It pressed against her tired flesh and left her wondering how much longer did she have to feel the weight of her past preclude her fully realizing what could be her future.

Tumblr media
Warning: This fanfic contains tickles. Also remind them that I don't speak English, so if they find any errors, let me know to correct it. I hope you like it!
Lee: Tanjiro Kamado
Ler: Giyuu Tomioka and Sanemi Shinazugawa
'Well, Giyuu brought you a little surprise' 'GIYUU - SAN!', Giyuu could barely react when Tanjiro and Nezuko ran and pounced on him.
'Oi, take care' 'It's alright Nemi, oh god, I missed you sooooo much' 'We too Giyuu-San! That's why we brought you your favorite dish and Sanemi - San's too'
That was how Tengen, the Kamado brothers and the Sanegiyuu ate.
'It seems like she's still in the habit of sleeping a lot' 'Ohh yes, she must be very tired. She has cooked for everyone hehehe'
'Well, I'll also apply the young Kamado's technique' 'And you, why?' 'Because being extravagant is exhausting, you know?', classic Tengen...
Giyuu and Tanjiro talked, despite the fact that they sent each other letters, they had a lot to talk about, but among those things, there were the lives of the people who died and what he hurt when he became a demon.
'Hey, like this again? Tanjiro, we have repeated it to you, you didn't hurt anyone... And about the others, well, we won't be able to change the past, but... We can choose what to do in the present, do you think they would like to see you sad? No, right? Come on, give me a hug'
They hugged in front of a jealous Sanemi's gaze, but then an idea occurred to him. He leaned closer to him and whispered to him, Giyuu agreed smiling as Sanemi sat down next to him to begin the plan.
'Huh?' 'Relax Tanjiro, relax,' Giyuu whispered, placing Tanjiro's head on his lap and his body on Sanemi's lap, caressing him gently.
'Thank you-! He-Hey!' 'What's up Kamado? weren't you sad? I just heard a giggle', do not have or do not approach Sanemi when he is in his ler mod, you will come out crying and sore from the tickles what will he do to you
'No! Wait!' 'Too late, calm down Tanjiro, you're in good hands', sure, "good hands"
Tanjiro knew that Giyuu might not be so cruel, but Sanemi? He had seen the tickling fights of both of them and he was not gentle, not even with Giyuu who was his couple, what was going to become of him? Also, not to mention that Sanemi knew his worst spots, he was fried.
'GYAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! NOHOHOHO!!! YOU ARE GOING TO WAKE UP-' 'Let them wake up, that won't stop us from tickling you', Sanemi smiled mischievously, watching Tanjiro kicking hard and squirming.
Sanemi was squeezing his thighs, while Giyuu was only gently brushing his neck, he didn't know how or why, but his body just at that moment became extremely sensitive.
'STOHOHOHOP!! NOHOHOT THE NEHEHECK!! GIHIHIYUU - SAHAHAHAN!!!' 'Hmm?', he mumbled, muttered as if he hasn't gone down to his armpits.
Sanemi applied his techniques, squeezing his thighs with one hand and scratching up his sides with the other, pressing his hips, gently sliding his fingers around his belly, poor Tanjiro
'IT'S TOO MUCH!!! WAHAHAHA!! UHUHUZUI - SAHAHAHAN!! NEHEHEHZUKOOOO!! HEHEHELP!!!!' 'They're asleep idiot, suffer' 'Sanemi, be nice', he rolled his eyes and that's when they changed positions, now Tanjiro was lying on his chest and Giyuu, well he was next to Sanemi
'Ready? Tanjiro Kamado...' 'N-no! Tomioka-san! Please help me!' 'I'm sorry Tanjiro, but is it you or is it me. And believe me, Sanemi is very good at tickling...', Tanjiro's eyes widened when he saw Sanemi's smile, who was approaching his armpits moving his fingers and making him laugh in anticipation
'*yawn* wow.. I fell asleep, onii-chan? Where-?', Nezuko got scared when she heard a scream not far from here, but she recognized who it was, Tanjiro!
Nezuko got up and ran until she saw how Sanemi had Tanjiro imprisoned, digging his fingers into her brother's armpits, who was writhing, kicking, screaming and crying from having laughed so much.
'HEHEHEHELP!!! I CAHAHAHAN'T *hip* NO MORE!!! *snort* I-I!!!', Tanjiro could no longer speak, his laughter remained silent until he felt Sanemi stop, he prayed that he had really stopped and was not pretending to attack him unawares
When Tanjiro looked up, he found Sanemi covering his mouth while Nezuko vigorously clenched his hips. 'Set my brother free!' 'Da-damn!'
'Hey Nezuko, do you need help? It looks like the torturer will become the victim', Giyuu smiled, walking with Tanjiro towards them. Well, it looks like Sanemi went from ler to lee.

Playground Rivals: Ken x Fem Reader
Tumblr media
Chapter 5
Tumblr media
"Barbie, Raquelle and I will take them somewhere. Okay?"
Barbie nods as Y/n motions to the boys.
"This way you can think, they have something to do, and we don't have to listen to anyone whining."
Y/n looks at each of them sternly before smiling.
"Though, I say that with love."
Everyone nods along before Y/n motions for them to follow her, leaving Barbie on the bench by herself. Ken keeps looking behind him at her, seeing how far he can go but stops when Y/n turns his face to look forward.
"Don't go far."
"Okay!"
The dolls round the corner. Y/n sighs and looks at her sister, who was already looking at her.
"We aren't gonna listen are we?"
"Nope."
Y/n sighs again as Raquelle starts to lead the boys farther and farther away.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Why are we back at the beach?"
Raquelle looks around the beach with a confused look on her face. All the other dolls look at each other and shrug as if to say "What's she doing?"
Y/n watches her sister's face light up, she follows her eyes to see what had her attention. It was the guy from earlier. She looked at the other boys only to find Ken smirking back at her and Ryan looking completely lost.
The dolls watch Raquelle walk up to the guy and talk to him. After a while the two walk back towards the others before Raquelle motions for everyone to follow her.
"What's this?"
Raquelle walks past her twin; the guy nervously follows after her eyeing Ryan as he goes. Ryan glares at the boy's back walking after them.
"Raquelle! Who is this guy?!"
Y/n shakes her head at the scene. Ken reaches for her hand while watching the others, Y/n smiles when she notices and she intertwines her hand with Ken's and pulls him along.

Barbie exhales trying to get her thoughts going.
She opens her eyes and starts to look around hoping to find something that could help her find this girl.
She watched a bunch of cars drive past and seen a lot of people walking by but saw nothing that could help her.
She stands up and walks around in a circle before sitting down again.
She really needed this to work, she closed her eyes again and started to think of a memory.
-
"You look stressed Barbie."
Barbie turned around to find her friend walking to her with a tray of cookies in hand. Barbie scratches her cheek before looking back at the riddle one of the other Barbies gave her.
"Hehe yeah, um Barbie gave me a riddle. It's supposed to lead to a surprise the Barbies are planning but I have to find all the clues to find the real location."
"Oh that sounds fun."
Barbie shrugged, she wasn't much of a puzzle person. Y/n smiles at Barbie and offers her a cookie.
"Do you think I could help?"
Barbie smiles at the doll.
"Sure."
Y/n took the riddle from Barbie excited to help out. Every now and then Ryan would give her tiny hints whenever he stole her stuff and hid it somewhere.
"What five letter word can be read the same way upside down?"
Barbie taps her chin in deep thought and Y/n looks around not really looking for anything particular it was a small habit, she smiled when the answer came to her.
"Is this the first one?"
"The third."
"Well the next clue is at the beach."
Barbie looks thoughtful about her answer.
"Swims?"
Y/n nods her head at the blonde beside her, Barbie's eyes lit up and she pulled the girl into a hug.
"You're a genius. Come on."
Barbie then pulls the doll into the direction of her car so that they could head to the beach.
-
Barbie smiled at the memory, maybe that was the key to finding the girl.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Hey Blaine. How's it going?"
Blaine was the guy that Raquelle was hanging out with. He had learned that the others had never seen a movie with moving pictures before; it totally confused him about what they meant by that; he decided to bring them to his favorite movie theater.
"I'm doing pretty good."
The girl smiled at him and then sent Raquelle a friendly smile which kinda threw her off.
"Who's this?"
"I'm Raquelle."
Blaine smiles at Raquelle before handing some money over to the cashier. He had used to work there before and visited there a lot so he knew how much things were.
He had agreed to get everyone drinks and food but the movies are expensive so he told the others that they would have to find a way in.
"I got an idea."
Y/n shook her head, she already knew what he was going to do but Ken looked at Ryan in wonder.
Ryan put on his best smoldering look and walked up to the girl as Blaine and Raquelle waited for the food.
"Hey."
The girl looked unimpressed and just looked down at her computer system.
"What movie are you trying to see?"
"The same one as them."
Ryan points to the other two who were now getting food handed to them.
"Tickets for three please."
The girl types in her system before looking up.
"That'll be $40.56 please."
Ryan frowns.
"I don't have any money."
"That's too bad. Next person please."
Ryan gave her a desperate look.
"C'mon please, isn't there anything I could do to get me and my friends in there."
The girl shook her head, an apologetic look filled her eyes.
"I'm sorry."
"Please."
Y/n sighed as everyone started to look in the direction of her brother, she quickly walked up to him and pulled him away from the register.
She looked around, trying to think of something when her eyes landed on a poster with Ken's face on it? No, not Ken. A Ryan Gosling?
She motioned for Ken to come to her and he does so. She takes his face in her hands and moves her eyes back and forth between him and the guy on the poster.
She waits for the other people in line to finish grabbing their tickets and pulls of Ken's hat then ruffles his hair.
The girl at the countertop eyes lit up when she saw him.
"Oh my... I'm a big fan of yours."
Ken just smiles not knowing what to say.
"Hi. We're friends of Ryan. We had talked to your manager not too long ago and he said it was okay for us to go in."
Clearly starstrucked the girl just nods along, letting the trio through without checking. They meet up with Raquelle and Blaine and make their way to their seats.
Y/n places Ken's hat back on his head then kisses his cheek. She was happy her plan worked but she did feel bad about lying to that girl.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Raquelle, I wanna show you something. It's a place really special to me."
Raquelle smiles at Blaine, intertwining their fingers.
"Okay."
Ryan quickly breaks their hands apart and puts his arms around both people, receiving a glare from his twin.
"Nope, I'm coming too."
"Really, Ryan."
Ryan sends the brunette a cocky grin.
"Yep."
"What about Y/n and Ken?"
Usually Raquelle would do anything for her little sibling to get alone time with Ken but she really wanted to be alone with Blaine right now.
Ryan turns to look in the direction of his other sister and then back to Raquelle and then back to her. He was clearly torn.
He bit his lip in thought before walking back to Ken and giving his shoulder a hard squeeze.
"I trust him to look after Y/n."
Raquelle's face fell at that so Y/n decided to enter the conversation.
"I mean what if someone starts causing trouble with me and Ken. You know I can be pretty passive sometimes."
"That's what Ken's there for."
"But-"
Ryan shakes his head and walks to Raquelle.
"You'll be find, I know Ken. He wouldn't let anything happen to you."
He puts his arms around Blaine and Raquelle and walks away.
Ken grabbed Y/n's hand and pulled her in the other direction, taking her around that part of the city. He didn't know where he was going but he sure acted like he did.
"Excuse me sir."
A guy stopped Ken, easily getting his attention. Ken nodded at the man as he walked past before turning to the (h/c) doll behind him and smiled.
"Did you see that?"
Y/n smiled at him, she was happy to see him having a good time in this nice but messed up world.
"I did."
The two walk pass the Century City Center and just talk about any and everything they've experienced in the past week in Barbieland, venting about times they were annoyed, talking about times where they were happy, leaving out some parts where they were not so happy or embarrassed.
The two of them watched as a man walked out of the building wearing a fluffy fur coat. Which both Y/n and Ken admired on him.
Another guy waved at and congratulated Ken which earned him a happy smile from the doll.
The two walk by a gym watching two of the men walk out and fist bump each other. Ken turned to Y/n wanting to do the same so the doll decided to entertain him on his little quip.
He pulls her inside the gym and their noses are instantly filled with the smell of sweat and musk. They watch as a couple of men take turns punching punching bags, some lifting different types of weights and others on a running machine.
When they came out Y/n noticed how Ken started walking differently. She was kind of concerned.
"Ken? Babe, what are you doing?"
"Nothing. Just walking."
"Yeah but...you don't walk like that."
Ken just sends her a playful smile and shrugs off her comment.
Ken stops walking after a while to watch a car drive by, his eyes started to shine at the sight of it.
His eyes got even brighter when he watched the police men riding one of his favorite animals, the horse. He patted Y/n's arm, jumping up and down at the sight of them.
He then grabs the doll's hand and goes inside of another building. The two watched as the men below were having a meeting, Ken crossed his arms and started acting like one of them. Normally Y/n would laugh whenever he did his imitation but part of her couldn't shake the feeling that this was bad somehow especially because the guy Ken was imitating had disrespected a woman in front of his group.
Y/n had gone to the restroom to wash her face. She was getting a sick feeling from the whole experience but she couldn't quite pin point what it was.
She panicked after she walked out when she didn't see Ken anywhere. She ran around the building looking for him before she ended up bumping into him at the door. He had the biggest smile on his face.
"Oh my god."
She pulled Ken into the tightest hug shocking him but also making him melt.
"Don't do that again."
Ken giggles.
"I was only upstairs."
"I don't care."

Barbie sat at the bus stop with her eyes closed. The world went quiet and suddenly she could see the swing of a child's foot. Next she saw the child braiding someone's hair.
She took that moment to focus on what the memories were showing her. It was a little girl doing a hand shake with someone but she couldn't see who. The next few memories were flashes, her and someone eating ice cream, then she was playing dolls with who Barbie assumed is her mother, next she ran into her mother's arms and then the next she was sad and started to push her mother away. The girl was now throwing her toys away, her mother keeping one, the girl kept pushing her mother away at this point they didn't seem as close.
Barbie opened her eyes, all those memories, they were intense. She felt a tear running down her face.
"That felt achy but good."
Barbie looked up watching her surroundings, she watched as a family had a picnic on one side while another family played in a park together, One mom pushed a bike down the road while her two daughters followed her, she watched as a couple argued with each other, how the trees blew in the wind, she watched as two men laughed with each other causing her to laugh along even though she had no idea what they were laughing about, she watched as a man looked upset with himself. She wondered if anyone ever looked like that in Barbieland, everything was different, everything felt different.
She looked beside her finding an older woman sitting not too far away from her. The woman looked back up at her and Barbie couldn't help but smile at the woman.
"You're so beautiful."
"I know it."
The two took a moment to admire the beauty of the other. This is what it felt like to be real.
Barbie's eyes widened when she saw Ryan walking back sulking.
"Hey Ryan, what's wrong? Where are the others?"
Ryan sighs passing the lady to sit next to Barbie, sinking down on the bench.
"I've been ditched Barbie. My own family turned against me."
Barbie chuckles as Ryan whines dramatically.
"You're still sulking about."
Raquelle walks up to them now without the guy she ran away with.
"I can't believe you just ditched me."
"I hardly ditched you."
Ryan just looked at the brunette in disbelief.
"You literally told a girl, 'what you met my brother Ryan,' and left without another word. If that's not ditching, I don't know what is."
"Barbie! Barbie!"
The trio turned their attention to the yelling blonde as he runs at them full speed, Y/n following close behind him.
"Yes!!"
Barbie smiles widely at the appearance of the two.
"I got it!"
"I got it!"
The siblings all looked at Ken, confused about what he 'had.' Ken looks all bashful when he notices everyone's eyes on him.
"Oh, what do you got?"
"You go first."
Barbie was also interested in what he had to say. She gave him a big smile.
"No, no, you go."
"We'll go at the same time."
Ken giggles excitedly and Barbie does the same.
"Okay."
The two yell at the top of their lungs gleefully.
"She's at school."
"Men rule the world!"
The siblings eyes widened and their jaws dropped to the floor. What did he say?
Barbie's face scrunched up in confusion and Ken got nervous at the looks he was getting.
"What was that?"
"Ken?"
"The kid's at school?"
He brushed off both of his friends' concern.
"But what did you say?"
Ken just shook his head putting on a smile.
"Nothing."
Barbie just shrugs it off.
"Okay."
"Well, let's go to the school."
"Okay!!"
Barbie was super excited to meet the girl, Ken laughs along with her walking her away from the other dolls who all looked at him in shock.
"Is he okay?"
Y/n looked at the twins as they studied her face.
"What?"
"What do you mean 'what'? You were with him all day."
"That's supposed to mean I should know what's going on with him?"
The two dolls gave him a blank stare.
"Yes!!"
"Yes."
Raquelle shakes her head in disappointment.
"You're basically in a relationship, how could you not know what's going on in his head."
"We're not in a relationship."
"Could have fooled us."
The trio bicker as Ken and Barbie lead them in the direction of the school.

Killer x Fem Lunarian reader! Part 3
Tumblr media
Part 1
Part 2
Part 4
Letter after letter were sent from one another every few days from Killer to his love and from her to him. The only time the communication stopped was when she would contact him through his DDM…the letters were more romantic though according to Killer.
“…I’ll be heading your way soon, maybe I could kidnap you for the night?”, she asked over her DDM as she got the necessary things for her trip.
“Hm…that can be arranged, I’ll let the crew know not to shoot down the big bird in the sky…”, he said teasingly earning a laugh from her.
“You’re the worst…I miss you so much…it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other”, she said with a huff.
He sighed softly in response, “…I know…it hasn’t been easy without you too…but soon that will change, when are you leaving?”.
“In an hour, I had to make an excuse to leave the island without my commander being too suspicious”, she said with a little smile.
“…you not being suspicious is completely suspicious”, Killer said with a smirk.
“Oh someone is in a very teasing mood today, maybe I shouldn’t come”, she said with a pout.
“Ah no, forgive me…but you set yourself up for that one…now get your ass here already…”, he said with eagerness laced in his voice.
“Okay, see you soon…”, she said before giving him kisses through the DDM and then hung up.
He smiled a little and sighed happily.
“…you sound like you’re in a good mood”, Kidd said as he leaned against the side of the ship and looked out at the water.
Killer looked over his shoulder before walking over and joined him, “…Y/N is flying through…for us to spend sometime together”, he said calmly as he gripped the edge of the barrier, “…hope you’re okay with that”.
He smirked a little, “…ah that’s why then…yeah do as you like…you know you don’t have to ask or anything like that…”, he said calmly.
“…thanks…”, Killer murmured.
“…never thought I’d see you in love again…”, Kidd stated, “…I’m happy for you though…you deserve happiness, Killer”.
He looked over at his friend and sighed softly, “…that’s probably the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me…you’re getting soft”.
Kidd blushed and angrily cursed at him before stomping off.
Killer smiled a little and looked at the skies for a moment or two before he went back to his quarters to finish off some work.
____________________________________________
Y/N would spot the Kidd pirate’s ship in the distance and immediately headed towards it before landing on the deck.
A knock was made on Killer’s quarters door before being kicked in by Kidd, “…how long are you gonna make her wait!?”, he questioned.
Killer thought his captain was just being his normal extra self by not using the door properly until he heard what he said. He turned quickly to see Y/N waiting not too far away as she talked with some of the other crew members.
“Ah my bad…I just got lost in my work…”, he said before he quickly made his way out to his love.
She smiled when she saw him and swept him off his feet before hugging him tightly and nuzzling his neck happily, “…hi handsome”, she said happily.
Killer was blushing a lot since this was all happening in front of his crew but at the same time he was also so excited to see his beloved. He hugged her just as tightly and sighed happily, “…long time no see, pretty lady…”.
“You ready to head off?”, she asked gently before setting him down on his feet.
Before he could even answer, they were both interrupted by Kidd, “…rest for a while, dinner is almost ready too…then you both can fly off into the night”, he stated.
Killer realized that was true, she must have been tired for flying for such a long time and was probably hungry too…some rest wouldn’t hurt.
“That’s right, we can go in a while…if that’s alright”, he said gently as he held her hands into his.
She smiled and nodded, “That’s fine with me, my love…”.
The crew would hear this cute name and call Killer it for the rest of the night which usually resulted in him threatening them with his scythes.
After dinner, Y/N nuzzled Killer’s neck a little, “…let’s sneak away while everyone is getting wasted”, she whispered.
He nodded and gently got them to a spot where she could easily fly out with him in her hold. He had never been flying before and he had to admit that it was one of the best things he had ever experienced.
They’d land on an island and could barely keep their hands off each other the moment their feet touched the sand.
“…there’s a cottage nearby…”, she said in between kisses as she pulled him with her to it.
“…oh good…sand was just going to get everywhere otherwise”, Killer said as he closed to the door and locked it behind them before slipping off his t-shirt, “…now where were we?”.
She lit some of the candles before taking a seat on the bed, slipping off her boots, “…well you’re half way there…strip”, she said with a smirk.
Killer grinned and happily obliged…
____________________________________________
Y/N laid in his arms as she played with his fingers lazily in the dimly lit room, “…I wish we could be in each others arms every night…”, she said softly.
“…you could if you joined the Kidd pirates”, Killer murmured as he stroked her arm with his free hand.
She raised a brow and rolled her eyes, “….that’s not as easy as one would think it is…plus you’d get bored of me being in your face all the time”.
“I don’t think so…all I’d have to do is close my eyes if I do”, he said teasingly.
She laughed in response and ran her fingers through his hair slowly, “…I love your hair…maybe one day our children will have it too”.
He smiled a little at that, “…you want a baby with me?”.
“You don’t want one with me?”, she asked with a smirk.
“…never thought about having a family…you know with a wife and kids…never even had parents to start with”, he murmured.
“…I don’t remember mine either…only those who raised me but I’ve always wanted to be a mother”, she said gently, “…I think I’d be a good mom”.
“You’d be a great mom…the best in fact”, he said with a smile before kissing her forehead.
“You’d be a great baby daddy too”, she said teasingly as she straddled him.
He chuckled in response as he held her hips gently, “…think so?”.
“I know so…such a handsome, strong and sexy baby daddy”, she said as she leaned down to kiss him.
“…oh I’m sold now…”, he purred.
____________________________________________
They’d return to the Kidd pirate’s ship just before lunch.
“…lunch is ready, love birds…eat before you leave us, Y/N”, Eustass said as he sipped some of his drink.
“I swear if you didn’t make me fall in love with you…I’d fall in love with Kidd…he knows the way to a girl’s heart”, Y/N said teasingly as Killer huffed in response and took her to the dining hall.
Eustass blushed brightly in response, the last thing they ever needed was to fall in love with the same girl again! He was genuinely happy for Killer though…he knew what he had been through after Wano…he needed a break of sorts.
After lunch, she’d depart back to her crew but it wasn’t a sad goodbye as she knew she’d see him again soon enough and so did Killer, he couldn’t wait until he saw his beloved again.
____________________________________________
Months and months of seeing each other on and off due to their different crews and well being a pirate…Y/N had some news for Killer.
Meeting on an island, she sat on the beach and smiled as she watched him jog over before sitting next to her, “…took you long enough”, she said with a little smile.
“Forgive me, Eustass got in a fight with the guys are the harbor…and well I had to diffuse the situation before it escalated”, he said as he took a seat next to her and quickly wrapped his arms around her, “…did you miss me, pretty lady?”.
She smiled and gently took off his mask before giving him some kisses, “…of course I did and I’m holding myself back from tackling you over right now”.
He smiled a little in response, “…that’s right, you’re usually tearing off my clothes by now”, he teased.
“Well there’s a reason for that…I wasn’t feeling myself lately and went to see a doctor…you doctors aren’t familiar with my kind’s anatomy but they were certain”, she said looking nervous as she spoke.
He gulped a little as he prepared himself for what she was about to say, his grip tightening on her.
“…I’m pregnant, Kil”, she said gently.
All the color ran from his face as she said this and he completely froze…
((I live for fanfics with Killer and him being in love! He’s just everything 😍))

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #79
It's very late here, so today's letter will likely be shorter than normal. But even though I'm very tired, I still wanted to make sure you knew that someone out here is thinking good things about you and wishing for nice things upon you.
My mind is still fairly empty today. I feel pretty tired for a variety of reasons. Some of it is the simple fact that we are going through the second part of your story, and I'm VERY worried about how things might turn out for you; I really don't want to see you get hurt, but at the same time, if you don't stop making choices that harm others, you will need to be stopped. And that's unfortunate, because I would much rather see you turn yourself around and try to become strong in the real way, instead of parroting the definition of it that was taught to you by people who didn't care about you.
The bulk of my reasons for being tired, though, is other stuff going on in my world that I can do absolutely nothing about. And a small amount of it is still me trying to recover from our long trip, and some of it is the recent changes in the social dynamics of my immediate circle. Maybe I'll try not to worry about it. Maybe instead I'll show you the most recent cups of tea I made, since… y'know… I can't actually pour any for you, much to my immense dismay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
…To give you the pictures of the tea at its most beautiful and interesting is the best I can do. And the fact that it is the best I can do is… sad, really. I'm sorry.
I had intended to go to the grocery today to get the supplies to make stuffed cabbage casserole; I was sent a beautiful-looking recipe by an awesome human being from the internet, and I wanted to give it a try. But my energy was very low today. Br offered to be a body double, and she visited, and it was wonderful. We talked a lot about various things, but I still didn't have the energy to go out before going to see R, and for various reasons, I think neither did she. I'm glad we decided to spend time at home though; it was peaceful.
Br went with J and I to go see R today though, and it was a good time. We stopped somewhere to pick up a couple of snacks, and we did some catching up with R. R is an astounding baker; I wish that you could try the things that he creates. He made bonbons for us, and peanut-butter-banana bars with chocolate chips and walnuts, and they were absolutely wonderful. And we also went out to a Thai place for food. I can't help but wonder if your world has some equivalent of Thai food somewhere. I'll show you what we got:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have you ever had crab rangoon? Pork belly? Rice pudding? Pad Thai? Did you like them? I wonder what you think. I wonder what you think about a lot of things, actually…
There's so much I wish I could show to you. There's so much I wish I could give to you. So many things I wish you could do and see and try. I wish that you could see the world through my eyes for just a moment… just for a moment. And then maybe you'd see that although the world is broken and has a lot of pain and a lot of problems, it's still not so bad. It's really not so bad. Not everyone is mean like the people you met. And even though a lot of things might seem really weird right now, it's never hopeless. There are good things everywhere, if only you have the courage and strength to look around hard enough.
It's for this reason that I hope you'll try to become strong in the real way. Please try. Please try so that you can come back home to us. We miss you.
I'm exhausted, so I'm going to stop writing here, because if I don't, I'm going to ramble even more than I have already.
Hey, Sephiroth? Don't forget that there are people who love you out here. People who don't care about your status, fame, or whatever else, but rather… people who will make you a new locket if you lose your old one. People who will make you pumpkin soup if you're sad about missing out. People who will make you things like garlic bread and pasta. People who will make you little trinkets like music boxes and trees made of gems and songs made only of human voices. People who will write you letters just to try to show you that you're cared for. I can't be the only one out here who is like me… if only because you are a little bit like me, and you exist, even if it's only in an abstract way.
…Is any of what I can do enough though, I wonder? Enough to reach you? Enough to move you? If you don't turn around… will it be because I didn't try hard enough…?
…Maybe these questions are ridiculous. Maybe I really am just tired. There's so much that I don't know… and sometimes that scares me.
I can't wish you were here in good conscience, because things where I am are looking pretty bleak sometimes. But I can instead wish that you could be somewhere safe, wholesome, and happy.
I'll write again. Though I'm not sure what about.
Your friend, Lumine

Psychoanalysis Sunday: Letters Home
Non-magical AU where Regulus is put in therapy with a psychoanalyst
Part 1 | Previous | Next
Regulus,
I assume that you have not perished while away at school. Even under the present administration, I would like to think that your father and I would be informed if such an incident had occurred. Nevertheless, it has been nearly a month since we have heard from you and I can think of no other reason why this might be the case.
If I do not hear from you soon, I will be forced to imagine the worst.
With affection,
Walburga Black
-
Dearest Mother,
I hope that my letter finds you and father in good health. I apologize for not writing sooner. I have been immensely busy with my studies. Of course, I am not nearly as behind as some of the students here. There is one unfortunate child in my year who appears to have received absolutely no instruction whatsoever before enrolling at Hogwarts. His parents work in a factory and his clothes all smell of soot.
I am quite glad of the head start from the tutoring you and father provided for us, but I nevertheless find myself quite busy. My professors know that I need a bit of a challenge and are happy to provide it for me.
I am greatly enjoying my time at Hogwarts, although I do miss home. I look forward to seeing you and the rest of the family when I return for winter break.
Your loving son,
Regulus Black
P.S. Evan would like me to ask if you could have Kreacher send us some jam tarts please.
-
Regulus,
Professor Slughorn has informed me that you have taken an interest in football. I do hope that that is not what has been pre-occupying your time, such that you cannot even write home to your family. Minding your studies is one thing, but frittering your time away engaged in foolish sport is quite another.
I suppose I can see if Kreacher has the time to spare. Does your friend not have his own family to provide him with sweets? I hope you have been making connections with other well-bred students as well. You should be branching out and making your mark at Hogwarts. Do not disappoint me.
Sincerely,
Walburga Black
-
Dear Mother,
Evan and I are most grateful for the care package Kreacher sent. I made sure to share a few with my new friends before Evan could devour them all. He certainly does have family of his own and they do provide him with sweets and food all the time, and he is always trying to break into the kitchens here as well. It is a wonder he is not ten times the size he is with how much he eats.
I can assure you that my interest in football is not taking away from my studies, nor will I allow it to interfere with my communication with my family. It does, however, provide me with a unique opportunity to make connections with other students here. I have become rather friendly with Oscar Fawley, who is on the varsity team. Hope Selwyn and Mitzy Travers are planning to try out for the girls' team next year and we practice together when we have time. Evan joins as well sometimes, but he is not a very good sport, and I think he upsets the girls.
I do hope that Slughorn has given you an otherwise good report on my progress at school. I would never wish to disappoint you.
With love,
Regulus Black
-
Regulus,
It is good to hear that you are building connections through athletic activity. I have tried to explain to your mother that it is important for young men to engage in team sports, but you know how she can be. She worries about you.
It is charitable of you to help your female classmates practice, but if you are planning to try out next year, I advise that you find yourself a proper challenge. Perhaps you can persuade the young Mr. Fawley to give you some pointers.
Signed: Orion
-
"See, I told you it won't do you any good to keep prancing about with the girls. Your father knows what he's talking about," Evan says.
Regulus turns and shoots him an annoyed look. "Will you stop reading over my shoulder?"
Evan shrugs. "No."
Regulus rolls his eyes. "Well, maybe if you could go for more than ten minutes without getting bored and chucking the ball at my head, I could practice with you instead."
"That is helping you practice! You ought to be thanking me instead of moaning with the girls about it."
Regulus sighs and pulls out a piece of stationary, twisting the tip of his pen in his fingers. Evan comes up behind him and yanks the pen out of his hands.
"Here," he says, "let me draft your response to your father."
Regulus raises his eyebrows. "Pardon?"
Evan grins. "No, listen. Your father will love it. Guaranteed."
Regulus does not for a second believe Evan's guarantee, but he does believe that whatever Evan thinks Regulus ought to say in his letter home will be amusing, so he lets Evan do it anyway. Evan reads the letter out loud to Regulus when he is finished and it is, predictably, the most absurd and inappropriate letter imaginable. Both boys are in a fit of giggles by the end of it and Regulus completely forgets to write an actual response to his father.
