Story:

As a warrior, Whiteheart’s leg was badly crushed after rescuing one of his Clan’s kits, Fernkit, from the camp while a fire was burning through the forest. With the crying kit clutched in his jaws he had pulled his leg free, tearing the fur and skin off of it.

Having inhaled too much smoke, FernKit died shortly after, and Whiteheart ended up with a permanent limp and large scarring on his leg. Once recovered, he remained a warrior for a short few moons before retiring early. He tried to help his clan however he could and often was found doing mostly herb hunts for the medicine cats and tagging along on border patrols.

Although the queen, Fernkit’s mother, told him that he wasn’t at fault, Whiteheart still blamed himself for the death of FernKit and distanced himself from the nursery and all young cats.

On a herb run one day, he ate some of the catmint he was meant to bring back during a bout of whitecough in the senior warriors. The sweet and leafy plant relaxed him, and eased his lungs and leg pain briefly. He took more than needed with him and stuffed half in a hollowed out tree stump and gave the rest to the medicine cat.

Whiteheart started to eat the catmint regularly, at first as a treat. He’d go to the abandoned twoleg barn daily, running into multiple kittypets whom he spoke kindly with over catmint. To avoid scaring them, he usually said he was a rogue and they started calling him Snow. He frequently came back to camp smelling of kittypet, causing rumours and the others to ignore him.

He grew so adjusted to eating the catmint that when there was a shortage he grew irritable, attacking one of his kittypet friends. The others drove him away, and he grew so desperate for catmint over the next couple days that he left his camp and headed across the border to BriarClan.

However, he was still slow because of his leg, and when he was leaving the camp through the brambles with a mouthful of catmint, a kit saw him. The kitten’s eyes widened, and before the kit could yell out to alert the clan he pounced on it, pulling it into the brambles by its scruff. He hadn’t meant to kill it.

He just wanted to subdue it. But the kit twisted underneath him, and he heard a loud crack before he pulled away in horror.

The kittens neck had snapped, head laying limply, eyes unfocused as his breathing slowed to a stop. He reared away from the kit, horrified at what he had done, and scrambled out of the camp, running until he collapsed from exhaustion by the cliffs edge.

The water splashed harshly against the rocks, and he rested his head for a moment. He didn’t deserve this. Fernkit and now a BriarClan kit both could have had so much more potential than him. He should have died in the fire instead, trapped under that log. He couldn’t go back to his clan, not after that.

The BriarClan warriors would recognize his scent eventually, and he would be exiled. Glancing at his limp leg, he sighed. He wouldn’t survive long on his own, and he’d ruined his chances of joining his former-friends at the twolegplace. Deciding there was no point, he gazed up at the stars for a few hours before stepping close to the cliffs’ edge, closing his eyes and taking one last step off, praying that Starclan would still take him.

Additional Information:

-- Whiteheart and Fernkit’s mother were very close after the kits death, and she would often support him while he did physical therapy to walk around camp with when he was still struggling to walk.

-- If he hadn’t of attacked the kittypets out of distress, he likely would have gone to live with them.

--Whiteheart is a large white cat with thick fur, amber eyes, and wide ears. His back leg is badly scarred, twisted at an odd angle.

Note

Which of your Dark forest Ocs do you think would get along with Bristleblaze?

I think most of them would be chill with him, but FleaThistle might be a bit scared of him.

The cats that I can picture getting along with him are LionCatch, TurtleStepper, WhiteHeart, and the unsubmitted duo of GreenPebble and GhostPurr. (Green is also neutered so I assume he’d be very sympathetic towards BristleBlaze)

QuickStar (who is somehow still alive in clangen so I can’t submit him yet) would probably be just sad towards what BristleBlaze has gone through, and hate Avery for that.

Whiteheart!Sanji has constant nightmares of finding both his crews and Ace dead after Marineford. He sees Law drowned and sunken at the bottom of the ocean and his mother in her coffin but they're all saying it's his fault. It only gets worse after Marineford and not knowing who made it off and who lived and everything. Even after Ace and him join the Strawhat crew after the time skip he'll wake up gasping and clenching his hair and chest.

When Law joins after Punk Hazard he'll find Sanji on deck and lay his head on Sanji's shoulders and talk in North Blue until Sanji starts breakfast. It could be a few minutes or hours. Law does his usual big brother thing of trying to get Sanji to sleep more, he has a human furnace in his room. Sanji has never been one to fall asleep or stay asleep easily. So Law asks what he used to do and Sanji shrugs, mentions he used to have blankets in the pantry but he doesn't know if he still does.

Law finds them and settles Sanji at the table and makes some bad coffee and he knows it's bad and says so. Sanji shrugs and drinks it, always says Law's coffee is his favorite and so the mornings go. Law doesn't ask, he has similar nightmares and he can feel Sanji's fear. So used to his haki even after being a part so long.

But still the blood haunts them, stains their hands even if it shouldn't. Pulls apart their entire beings to the threads of bare bones bleached by grief and settles deep into the cracks in them. Sealed in by scar tissue.

"Ace and Luffy have a dead brother, blond, happened when they were kids." Sanji says.

"Straw hat also lost his crew, I heard him quite a bit before I took him to Rayleigh." Law responds. "We've lost too many, ourselves."

"Yeah, we have." Sanji nods. "But I have you back, and most of my former fleet."

"They're on Zou, they're safe." Law says about his crew.

"You'll be too, you decided to be in alliance with Luffy." Sanji chuckles.

"Aye, I did." Law nods as they drink their coffee.

I have so many fanfic ideas. One in particular im interested in is a story where after one of the arcs the wizard is granted some break time from the arcanum and everything and decides to visit some old friends in this case Dyvim. The story would follow over the wizards days on Khrysalis and their developing attraction to the kind mouse it would just be really fluffy and cute.
