how do you figure that the knight has a personality. from what i've seen, it's purpose is to stop the plague, and every action it takes is to further that goal. there aren't any sidequests that bring it to other, irrelevant things.
Anon pardon me for being rude but this just sounds a lot like you really weren’t paying any attention at all.
The first thing Ghost did was leave Hallownest entirely
They came back specifically because Hollow was dying. Numerous people speculate or imply about this and it is shown to us in the opening cinematic- Hollow screams, and then Ghost specifically returns to Hallownest. Given Ghost shows neither loyalty nor reverence to any figure of the Pale King, in any route, it is hard for me to believe this is their instruction.
Literally numerous characters explicitly discuss that Ghost is making independent decisions. Open the wiki and find a character page and read their dialogue. I challenge you to find basically any character in the entire game who has more than a single sentence of dialogue, that does not talk about Ghost making choices and having opinions. 
The soundtrack that plays during Hollow’s fight sharply changes tonally in response to Hollow stabbing themselves. No one else is observing Hollow. “We” as player do not have a presence that is acknowledged in the meta of the game. Ever. Ergo: These moments of sadness are emotions we are told that Ghost has.
The person who tells us that Ghost is empty was wrong about it explicitly and big time. Literally the entire reason Hollow didn’t work is because the Pale King was wrong about the vessels and his entire civilization ate shit because of it. In case you missed the charnel pit filled with dead children, or the fact that you basically find his dead body curled up in an empty throne room where you then have to smack it out of its chair and onto the floor in order to clear the area, PK is not a trustworthy source of information. He is factually observably incorrect about several things (see: the lore tablet in the Howling Cliffs that states there “is no world beyond” and implies sapience only exists within Hallownest’s bounds when half the cast casually talks about and is canonically shown via things like Quirrel’s prequel comic to have come to Hallownest from outside, and been sapient the whole time. PK HIMSELF came to Hallownest from the outside and was sapient. 
Also the specific thing you cite that would be counter-evidence to Ghost lacking a personality happens. like. all the time. Things that aren’t relevant to Ghost’s Assigned Objective:
Literally any ending except “Hollow Knight” which you can complete by ignoring everyone and running in a straight line to the goal. Even that ending requires Ghost to conduct independent synthesis of ideas to figure out how to complete this, which an entity that has a personality and thoughts does things. 
Any objective that requires the Kingsoul calls for you to wander what White Lady notes is a long way off the path and obtain objects you were never “supposed” to have when your path ahead to replace Hollow is clear.
Every aspect of the Delicate Flower quest
The Colosseum of Fools
The entirety of the Grimm Troupe DLC
The entirety of Hidden Dreams DLC
The entirety of Godmaster DLC
Sitting with Quirrel at the conclusion of his storyline
Sitting and listening to Marissa
Meditating with Mato, or seeking out the Nailmasters in the first place
Beating up Millibelle for robbing you
Accepting the Hunter’s Journal and completing it
Fighting Hornet a second time and acquiring the King’s Brand (which is used to defy an explicit order of the Pale King, that the Abyss is to be left sealed)
The grub sidequest
Pursuing any of the character storylines, such as Cloth, Bretta, Tiso, or Elderbug’s to its logical conclusion
This list is incomplete and could continue
It certainly looks like actually most of the game consists of actions that make no sense from the perspective of an empty creature who is completely apathetic, lacks a personality, and only obeys orders given to it by PK, and, after all, we are roleplaying the experience of being Ghost, considering never at any point does the game ever acknowledge the player as an entity or break the fourth wall. The closest it comes is the Shrine of Believers which is extremely esoteric to access.
It would also certainly seem I’m really mad about it, which I am: Anon, please consider that I am an autistic adult. Please consider that many people with autism, especially in childhood, can be:
Nonverbal
Prone to repetitive behavior or acting in a way that others describe as “robotic”
Lack what is considered “typical emoting” / could seem to be “blank-faced”
Basically, everything the vessels are. And autistic people are, you know, real actual human beings with thoughts and feelings. You know what people argue, all the time? That we aren’t. Especially young nonverbal kids.
Do you understand maybe why I am saltier than small oceans about this subject?
If so, I really hope you understand that while I cannot physically reach through the screen and stop you from believing this, broaching this attitude does cause me, as an autistic person, to trust you significantly less, especially since we are talking about a game that calls a huge amount of attention to the fact that all of the vessels suffered and were hurt by what was done to them. Broken Vessel reaches out to you when they fall. Hollow actively stabs themselves during their fight to prevent Radiance from using themselves to hurt you and comes back as a Shade to attack her in Dream No More.
To insist there’s not evidence of Ghost having a personality is to both insist, in arrogance, that all of the humanity of playing Hollow Knight is only brought by the player- when we are not a force that exists in this world- and to deny the fact that there is anything wrong with the Abyss. Which is clearly not the conclusion the game intended to present you with. There is a reason we feel something about the Abyss, and not about the workshop in the White Palace where bits of Kingsmould armor are stacked up. And even the Kingsmoulds, it’s made clear, have at least the capacity to grow and form opinions given the implications of The Collector.

This is an unfinished draft of a long, in depth analysis I’m planning of everything we know about Silksong. The final draft will have detailed analysis of enemies, areas, names, and many, many attempts to draw parallels with Hollow Knight. Without further ado, here’s the draft!
Will Hornet have her memories? Or will the winds of the Wastes have swept them away?
Prequel or sequel? (I’m thinking sequel, based on the implied presence of weavers in the trailer)
Lace fights Hornet (at least) twice, doesn’t call her by name, and knows things. IS SHE A HORNET PARALLEL AND HOW MUCH
What awful thing is going to happen to the flea-collecting village? Will they all die, or will they turn out to be evil? (My money’s on the latter)
Is the bell cult good, bad, or something else?
Who is the main villain?
Is Lace an antagonist or a Hornet parallel?
Lesbians???
Everything in Silksong seems much more vibrant than Hallownest. Instead of muted colors and effectively blank backgrounds, all of the areas we’ve been shown seem to be very saturated, and the design feels like everything is there for a reason. It’s a stark contrast to Hollow Knight’s busy backgrounds and dour themes, and is it possible the story reflects/is intended to reflect this?
Why does that one enemy look so much like steel soul Jinn?
Is Lace void??
Seriously though, she covers almost all of her body and her face is very similar to that of a shade’s. The existence of the shade trap room in the Colosseum of Fools implies the existence of other void creatures, though of course it could simply have been built for THK. We know void creatures are capable of having voices, as evidenced by the Collector, so IS LACE VOID???
That one area has a lovely juxtaposition between the white roses carpeting the ground and the industrial style pipes in the background, and knowing team Cherry, there’s definitely a reason for this.
Who kidnapped a Hornet and why?
Who sent the butterfly that breaks the seal of binding on her cage? Lace knows about Hornet’s imprisonment- could it have been her? Though she admittedly doesn’t seem to have much motivation to keep Hornet alive...
In Hollow Knight, the name of the game is also the name of the final boss. Could this also be true to an extent for Silksong? I doubt the boss would be named that explicitly, but perhaps someone who holds an association to both?
Multiple endings?
Will the final boss actually be the final boss? In Hollow Knight, the Radiance acts as a sort of hidden boss. Will this also be true in Silksong?
Will there be godseekers or the Grimm Troupe?
Will Ghost or THK be mentioned?
Will this focus more on expanding Hallownest’s lore or introducing Pharloom’s?

Points of interest:
1. Hornet appears to be performing a move similar to a great slash or dash slash here, which the enemy appears to be attempting (succeeding?) to deflect with their scissors
2. 2. In Hollow Knight, almost every fence or wall in Hallownest had the repeated motif of the king’s seal. This design looks a lot like a godseeker’s mask, as well as some of the enemies that have been revealed so far.
3. These appear to be at least four massive spools of silk. We know for a fact that there are weavers in Pharloom, and the sheer amount of silk here is more than we ever see in one place in Hallownest. Could it be possible that weaversilk is being farmed somehow?
4. It’s difficult to see, but this appears to be a massive control wheel, like you’d see on a valve. It’s much bigger than any standard bug could take advantage of, but we already know that Silksong is going to have some massive enemies, so it’s possible one of these also acts or acted as an overseer for this area.
5. This wall design heavily reminds me of both the walls in the Resting Grounds and the Birthplace. Are these corpses, or simply made to look like them? Either way, there’s definitely lore attached.
As well as all that, note how thin the support struts are, and how they appear wooden and cobbled together. I propose that what Hornet is climbing on here is the scaffolding around a massive silk related machine of some sort. Maybe an automatic loom?

Points of interest:
1. You’ll note that the enemy is holding a gilded pin, which is the same weapon Lace uses and is described as “the traditional weapon of Pharloom” by Team Cherry. I take this to mean that this bug has probably been in this place for a while.
2. This isn’t big or anything, but it’s very interesting to me that both Hallownest and Pharloom use lumafly lanterns for light. This implies some interesting things either about Hallownest and Pharloom’s proximity or the ubiquity of lumaflies.
3. This is clearly a graveyard. I find it very interesting that the stones seem to be entirely plain of embellishment or text except for the bell symbol. Also, I wonder if the graveyard being here means that we’re close to the Citadel?
4. This appears to be a fallen elevator. I’m not sure what else I could draw from it, but it definitely adds to the dilapidated and abandoned feel of this area.
5. This enemy has three golden straight pins. It’s very possible that you gain the ability to throw three at once after vanquishing one of these enemies. Another interesting thing to note is that the enemy isn’t holding these pins. If you look closely, their hand is at their side. The pins are instead seemingly fastened to their head somehow.
6. This is difficult to see properly, but the design on the fence here appears to be similar to the shape of the fallen elevator. It could also be read as a representation of the Citadel.
A few other things to note are that the colors here are almost identical to those of the resting grounds, including the enemies. This is unusual as far as Silksong goes, as most of the areas are far more intensely saturated.
These enemies appear to be wearing cloaks. It’s difficult to tell whether it’s the shadow of the hood that’s hiding their faces or whether that’s simply what they look like.
Also, Greymoor is a very interesting name and I’d like to explore what precisely a “moor” is, because I think this may give more clues as to the nature of the area.
Moors are defined as highland areas with acidic soil and low vegetation. The fact that moors are specifically highland areas makes me suspect even more that Greymoor connects directly to the Citadel, as Silksong appears to be a game mostly focused on going up, so where better to transition from the ground to the Citadel than highland?

1. We know from the Resting Grounds that this is how Ari draws mummified corpses. The fact that this corpse is walking around definitely implies some shenanigans. It brings to mind the description of Greymoor as “haunted”.
2. The fact that this corpse is lying on the ground makes me wonder if most of these mummified bugs will lie still on the ground until they notice Hornet, which would be an interesting enemy mechanic.
3. This lumafly lantern is tinted green, which I’m pretty sure we never saw in Hollow Knight. (Correct me if I’m wrong) It makes me wonder if something special was done to the lantern to achieve this.
4. Team Cherry has said that Hornet’s silk and soul are “inseparably intertwined”. It’s a very nice design touch to see that healing creates both kinds of particle.
5. See those motes in the air? They look very similar to the spores of the Fungal Wastes, and I suspect they may be the reason moss covers everything here.
What I lined in dark blue is the visible boning beneath the moss, and what I lined in cyan is the places where the moss grows too regularly, implying yet more boning just beneath.
I’m not sure whether this is deliberate or whether the moss grew over already existing structures to cause this, but another thing to note is that the way this moss grows is very reminiscent of moss balls, or marimo balls, an aquatic plant that grows in freshwater lakes.
The reason this interests me isn’t because I think these *are* moss balls, but rather because of how natural grottos form.
Most natural grottos are formed by water eroding soft rock like limestone into large caves. It’s common for them to either be flooded or to flood at high tide, which when combined with the aquatic vegetation in this area, could imply that it will be flooded for part of the game or at intervals. It’s possible Team Cherry would use this to echo the way that the Forgotten Crossroads turn into the Infected Crossroads, or it could be a way of gating the first area behind you until you get more movement capabilities similar to the Howling Cliffs.
Lastly, one of the root words for Grotto is the Latin word for “crypt”. Combined with the mummified corpses here, it makes me wonder.

Points of interest:
1. Confirmation that Hornet can look up! I don’t think anyone was worried about it, but it’s good to know we’ll still be able to do that.
2. You’ll note, first of all, that this is unusually bare for Ari’s backgrounds. The designs are smooth with little shading and there are massive dark areas. This leads me to believe that this isn’t the finished background, nor the one we’ll see in game.
3. The two strange objects at the corners of the screen are difficult to identify. Personally, I think they look like plugs of some sort, though I have no idea what they might be plugging. Maybe magma?
4. What is it with Team Cherry and throwing dead bodies everywhere? That’s litter, it’s illegal. Anyway, what might have killed these bugs?
5. You’ll note the massive misshapen mountain of bones in the background. Where did all of these come from? Also, the fact that they are bones means that this is probably Bonebottom. I’d like to call your attention to the fact that bugs don’t actually have bones, just exoskeletons, which makes the source of these even more dubious.
6. There are several ember particle effects, which I take to mean that there’s a whole bunch of magma nearby.
7. There are a few links of chain attached to each plug. Likely this is to allow them to be dragged open. I’m very curious whether this is just a design detail or whether opening these plugs will be used as a mechanic somehow.
Circled in blue are the (brass?) rings on Shakra’s arms as well as a similar ring on the ground. I’m not sure why one of her arm rings would be on the ground, but maybe it’s similar to Cornifer’s pages?

Undertale, Underswap, Underfell, Swapfell, and Horrortale Negative traits
Was trying to get a feel of the boys and I’ve been working on Negative traits that match their personality's and situations. A lot of these are them at their worst and not reflective of what they're usually like, and then some of them are me just noting things.
Undertale:
Sans- 
Ignores issues until they blow up in his face and then hopes they pass, it barely ever works out for him
Blows off things way too easily with jokes
Will ghost even the ppl important to him if he gets too involved in something. Most of the time doesn’t even notice he’s doing it till it’s too late
All his secrets are under lock and key. You’ll never get close enough to know them and hes desperate to keep it that way
Can “Mewh-heh-heh” but refuses to!!!!
Paps-
More likely to blow past other people insecurities without thinking
Jumps to his own conclusions
Its not that he cant take no for an answer, its just that sometimes he thinks he can easily make no into a yes with the right words/actions
can also straight up lie to your face without flinching
Will sometimes physically move others with out thinking. If you’re in his way your likely to get picked up and placed somewhere safe- but out of his direct path
Underswap:

Easily swept up in the moment
Fleeting feelings, he could be happy one moment and then in tears the next. If you’re not lucky any romance with him could simply be a mayfly one

The man personality was made by kicking a bunch of hornet’s nests and then stacking them together into a shape that vaguely looked like a skeleton

Refuses to indulge himself in the things he enjoys and calls it self-control. believes others should have his version of ‘self-control’

((Honestly, i imagine a lot of his negative qualities are right up in your face...Which is kind of refreshing considering a lot of the others and how they try to hide their feelings. When push comes to shove Boss can spot when he was in the wrong and- while he will never admit to it- hes not the kind of monster to leave on a bad note if there’s a way to fix it))
Swapfell:

Controlling
Overprotective that can easily be turned into smothering if left alone
Extremely distrusting, it takes an unreasonable amount of time to earn his trust. Something a lot of people cannot be expected to commit to

At his worst, is the one most likely to use the whole “If you leave me ill destroy myself” line

A lot of shame that is not connected to the Underground. He’s ashamed of the things he likes (even if they’re harmless) ashamed of his thoughts and feelings and a lot of other stuff ‘normal’ people wouldn’t be
There’s a part of him that’s…disconnected from reality. You cant go though the horrors he’s gone through without learning how to dissociate with all the horrible things you’ve done
Cannot keep the spotlight on himself for too long, typically gets unconformable when one tries to do something nice for him

Blackout - A Destiny Story
“Eyes up Guardian!”
Chase flashed and hovered over his guardians bunk, attempting to wake up a half asleep Kenton. Or Ken, as he was called by his friends, a titan exo named CHAO-5 and awoken warlock named Draeko. However like Ken, he gave them nicknames because they felt they worked better in combat. Respectively, Chao and Drake.
“Wake up!”
Ken tossed a pillow at his ghost, but Chase was able to avoid the fluffy projectile. Defeated, Chase sighed and went to get Chao and Drake to have them try.
“Won’t get up eh?”, said Chao oiling his upper section of his arm. Last time he went into the crucible, he fell and hit it, ever since it’s locked up in missions. He found oiling it has helped but has refused to ask for a new arm. Usually these three stay in their ships but they were all tired and decided to crash in the bunks room at the tower. They were out running a strike on Io and it took them a while to get back to earth.
“No, I’ve been trying for 10 minutes, he’s determined.”, Chase blinked.
“Or Hungover”, lamented Chao.
“Sigh... he was drinking again?”
“Yes, I know we got some great loot last night but he needs to lay off.”, Chao replied.”
At this, Drake walked into the breakfast room, he grabbed a bagel and looked puzzled at it. “Curious, it appears to be a donut without a dough or glaze? What’s the point of eating an inferior version?”
“Good point, why would you eat it?”, Chao agreed.
“Because we wanted to eat healthily pre-traveler era.”, said Ken stumbling out.
“Look who’s up, sleeping beauty!”, Chase chided. “You need to stop drinking alcoholic beverages after every mission!”
“Shut up Alexa”
“That’s.. not my name... I don’t understand?”
“Never mind, I’m getting a waffle.”, Ken said trodding off toward the iron.
“So, what are we doing today?”, Drake said sitting down, uncomfortably on the bench attached to the table. Drake, as an awoken had been away from earths people for a while and was still adjusting to things.
“Well, i still have yet to do that quest Ada gave me, Servo, what’s my average LL?”
“You’re sitting around 597, she recommended 610”, Servo answered.
“But, we’re all at 590-600. If we all go we might be able to do it. I got the same task.”, interrupted Ken drowning his waffle in maple syrup.
Drake contemplated this, munching on his discount donut. He had the highest Light Level out of the three and though he still had to do the quest as well, he was worried at how tough it could be. Eventually he got up, stuffed the rest of the bagel in his mouth then started toward the elevator to the armory. Not that Ken or Chao noticed, they were too busy arguing about which exotic of theirs was better, Ace of Spades or Sleeper Simulant.
Drake pressed the button and the elevator door closed and whirred as it ascended. Eventually the elevator stopped and arrived at the armory, Drake stepped out and noticed someone moving crates of weapons around.
“Good morning.”, called the warlock.
“Ah, good morning, you’re here early. Pardon the dust just organizing some boxes of rifles!”
It was Shaxx, overseer of the crucible, awoken can get pretty tall, but even standing several feet apart, Drake seemed tiny compared to the boisterous titan.
“Just checking out my weapons.”, Drake explained.
“Going on another mission?”, Shaxx said putting down a crate.
“Depends, I want to check my gear to make sure I can carry my team if I need to.”, Drake replied. “My Well of Radiance can only do so much, I want to see what my new weapons have in the way of perks. Eve?”
“Yes?”, the ghost said blinking into existence.
“Can you check what the stats on these weapons are?”
“Certainly.”, the ghost replied.
“You have the primary Assault rifle, Breakneck, the Shotgun, Retold Tale and the Sniper Rifle,Whisper of the Worm. All in the 590-605 range.”, Eve counted.
“As for my Gear, I have some good stuff, it seems and the Sunbracers for gloves.”
“Seems like I should get ready and tell them.”, said Drake returning his ghost.

“All right, ready to go?, said Chao getting in his ship. Drake and Ken replied with a thumbs up from their cockpits and the sound of their engines filled the hangar.
After a while the three of them are on there way to the EDZ and start up a conversation about their favorite weapons. The three may be very different in origin and history but the one thing they have in common is their love of rare weapons and other personal items. Ken asks what Drake’s is “being a warlock”.
“What’s that supposed to mean Cowboy?”, says Drake alluding to the hunters choice of subclass Gunslinger.
“Nothin’ but we both agree that we have very different styles when it comes to fighting.”, the hunter replied with a smirk.
“I probably would go with Prometheus Lens, it goes well with my solar subclass and it’s great for add clearing.”
“Yeah”, interjected Ken, “It used to be even better, but it was such a problem the Vanguard had to tell Banshee to mod them so people couldn’t take advantage of it!”
“Oh yeah, Banshee had a lot of work to do that week!”
“What about you, Chao?, what’s your favorite exotic?”, asked Ken slowly moving his hand toward the throttle.
“That’s a tough one, I think if I had to pick one it would we my...”
“Yeah whatever, RACE YOU TO THE EDZ!!!”, Ken yelled into his com, shut it off then pulled on the throttle sending his ship into a nosedive.
“YOU SON OF A!”-
“That little...”
The three ships raced toward the landing zone north of Trostland and the warlock, titan and hunter appeared on the surface transmatting from thin air.
“I totally beat all of you!”
No you didn’t, I clearly won that!”
“WOULD YOU TWO STOP ARGUING!”, Drake shouted.
“Let’s just get to the location on the map.”
“Fine”
“Okay”

“Well, here’s the spot.”
“A cave...at the edge of the EDZ...what’s the point here cause I’m sure missing it?”, Ken said shouldering his rocket launcher.
“What’s that in the center?”
“I think that’s what we’re here for, hey Ada?”
“HOW DID YOU GET ACCESS TO...oh it’s you 3..sorry, reflex. Ahem, that is a forge, your job now that you have that frame, is to forge the Machine Gun.”
“You need to collect charges and put them into the forge before time runs out, otherwise the forge won’t complete.”
“Sounds simple enough, just chuck some balls at the thing in the center and BAM! free loot!”, said an excited Ken racing toward the forge.
“WAIT!”, Ada shouted.
It was too late, the forge turned on and Cabal came charging through the caves for the 3 of them.
“YOU IDIOT!”, shouted the angry Awoken, “She was about to mention the danger!”
“You guys we’re taking too long we’ll be fi-
SMACK!, a gladiator Cabal smashed the frail hunter into an adjacent cave wall.
“Ugh what did he do now?”, lamented Chase reviving his dead guardian.
“He poked a hornets nest, he rushed in without a plan what do you think he did?!”
“-ne, what happened? Did we win?
“NO, you rushed in without a plan and died to a Space Turtle. Stop doing that!”
“You guys worry too much, I’m fine as long as I have Chase!”
“AND WHAT IF IM NOT?!”, yelled Chase at his guardian shotgunning a Cabal.
“What?”
“What if I’m not able to revive you? What if im not there to? What then?!”
“I’ll be fine.”, Ken replied reloading his Handcannon.
“I always think of a way out of things-
“No...your friends do...I do.”, Chase said sulking away.
“I’ll be fine without him...”

“Good thing you have that Well of Radiance D! This is getting rough!”
“Im also 5 levels above you!”, the warlock responded taking a shot at the centurion.
“Hey, is...where’s Chase going?”, asked Drake.
“Huh?”
“Chase! Wait!”
“Leave me alone...”, Chase called turning away.
“What’s wrong?”, Chao pryed shooting a psion.
“What’s wrong is my guardian is an incompetent buffoon who insists on getting himself killed and never thanking the person that revives him over and-“
“Guardian down!”, said Servo announcing his Titan’s death.
“Anyway, he clearly doesn’t need me, so I’m just gonna watch you two.”, Chase declared, if he had arms, they would be crossed.
“Jeez, that hurt, hey, my super’s almost ready!”, said Chao.
“I’ve got a while before mines ready, what about yours Ken?”, Drake asked over comms.
Ken was busy lining up shots with his hand cannon as its bullets made contact with the hard skulls of Cabal. Then he was struck with a blast from a Cabal gun and fell to the ground losing his grip on his revolver.
“Ken!”, said Chao rushing over to help.
Chao slammed the Centurion with a shoulder charge and rushed over to put up his barrier.
“Servo! Can you help him?”
“I just revived you, it’ll be a while before I can.”, replied his ghost.
“and Drake just got revived by Eve...”
The titan looked at the angry ghost in the corner of the cave.
“What?...No, NO! N-O, NO!”
“Come on Chase he’s your guardian!”
“Not until he apologizes, oh wait he can’t..HE’S DEAD!”
“Sigh...we need him for this man! You’re the only one who can do it!”
Chase looked at the cloak being stomped on by Cabal. Then his guardians cloak moved just enough to reveal his handcannon. He could see the engravings of crashing waves making up the texture of the grip on the weapon. He stopped and looked around then finally replied with, “You cover me while I bring him back.”
Soon the hunter was back, he looked at his ghost and started to apologize.
“Listen, I’m sorry for acting like an idiot... Sometimes I just get distracted or pissed off, but...thank you for bringing me back..”
“Alright, I’m sorry too... I know you can’t help it it’s in your nature to rush into things, always has been-
“Always will be, but I’ll try to not get myself killed as much from now on okay?”
“Thank you”
“Now let’s kick some Cabal a**!”

The three were on the final part of the forge and were having trouble killing the Warden, putting as many shells and rounds into it as they could but to no avail.
“I think this is why Ada told us to be at 610!”, Chao said putting up his barrier.
“Hey! Let’s pool our supers together and take this guy down, we got this!”, Ken replied.
“Sounds good to me, any objections?...no...okay!”
The Warlock summoned his Dawnblade engulfed in solar light hot as Sol itself as the Titan rushed over and put up his Ward of Dawn. The blade slammed into the cave floor, creating a spiraling Well of light as the purple tint of the Titans shield encased the two blocking shots from the Centurion. Finally the Hunter slid in front of the bubble and called his Golden Gun. After firing 6 shots from the Revolver encased in light empowered by the Well, the Warden was almost down. The three took out their power weapons and blasted what was left of the armor off the Cabal as it fell to the cavern floor.

Slender Man Mythos + Folklore
Original Mythos, “Der Großmann”:
There are woodcuts dated back to the 16th century in Germany featuring a tall, disfigured man with only white spheres where his eyes should be. They called him “Der Großmann”[Sic], the tall man. He was a fairy who lived in the Black Forest. Bad children who crept into the woods at night would be chased by the slender man, and he wouldn’t leave them alone until he caught them, or the child told the parents what he or she had done.
Original Mythos, “The Tall Man”:
I know of an old Romanian fairy tale, highly unpopular even in its earliest iterations. It might be based on a particular event, or perhaps it is an extrapolation from existing Slender Man stories.
Original Mythos, “Schlankwald”:
They say that monsters come only at night, That light will drive them away. But not all creatures follow this rule, Safety not certain during the day.
Original Mythos, “Mississippian Mounds”:
Photographs of these earthwork monuments routinely develop unusual dark artifacts not visible at the time the photo was taken. In this picture, the artifacts areas appear to be slender, vaguely humanoid shapes (see inset detail). Note the scale in inset A: the railing in front of the “figure” is approximately three feet high, so the figure would be in the range of 8-9 feet tall. According to local legend, these are the ynirono or “tomb guardians”.
Original Mythos, “Der Ritter”:
Many theories have been discussed as to what Freckenberg wanted to symbolize with this character; some say it is a personification of the religious wars that raged in Europe at the time, others say it is a personification of the mysterious plague that has been believed to be the reason for the mysterious abandonment of the Halstberg castle and the nearby village in 1543.
Original Mythos, “First Appearance”:
This next image was found in Egypt, believed to be a depiction of the Slender Man. Referred to as in the text “Thief of the Gods” or “Thief of Kuk” (Kuk is the Egyptian Deity of Darkness, depicted as female, perhaps why the Slender Mans victims are mostly women). The carving dates back to roughly 3100 BCE in lower Egypt. It is most commonly mentioned around Pharaoh Wazner, and it is theorized that he had some sort of encounter with the Slender Man, but it has never been determined.
Original Mythos, “Fear Dubh”:
In Scotland there is the legend of the Fear Dubh (The Black Man). This creature is said to haunt solitary footpaths at night, generally those that pass through woodland. It is reputed to be entirely malevolent.
Original Mythos, “Small Findings”:
The only thing I've ever seen that is similar to this is one children's game I ran across, that is practiced in a small village near the Retezat Forest in Romania since the 1920s. In this game, all of the children line up in a line, and one is appointed the "leader." The leader walks behind the children's backs and lightly taps one. That one is the "Mare Barbat" (tall man). The children then hold their arms out in front of them and the first child closes their eyes and begins walking down the line through the extended arms. The children in line brush the walking child lightly with their arms and hands as if walking through branches and leaves. When the child gets to the "Mare Barbat" that child suddenly grabs them. It usually causes a great fright in the walking child and all those nearby as well, which is fun for them.
Original Mythos, “Padre Flaco”:
Anyone ever heard of Padre Flaco? A friend of mine who used to live in Mexico told me a campfire story about him when we were camping a while back. It was mostly the generic forest monster stuff about creatures stealing children and stuff. Do you think a Mexican legend about a tall man wearing black robes like a priest who lives in the forest is a coincidence or part of a pattern?
Original Mythos, “Atlantic Historical Review”:
One such example of these Gallic “monster” tales can be seen in a correspondence dating back to the first century B.C.E. G. Polonius, a Roman citizen serving under Julius Caesar, writes back to his wife in Rome detailing what seems to be a reconnaissance mission gone horribly wrong. It is unclear as to what extent Polonius’ account represents truth. However, my assertion is that Polonius murdered his friend for a personal reason, and this story is Polonius’ creative way of justifying it to himself and to others.
Original Mythos, “Swamp Stories”:
I’ve even heard tell of a giant spider that rises from the depths and drags victims to the bottom. I say it’s just a rottin’ tree stump. The roots resemble spidery legs. The gasses from the rot float it up to the surface, then it sinks again. Sure, you could get drowned in the bog if you somehow got stuck on it, but that don’t mean it’s a monster.
Original Mythos, “Ghost Stories of the American South”:
Only obvious motif is R10.3 “Children abducted.” Other relevant motifs may include E275 “Ghost haunts place of great accident or misfortune” and E402 “Mysterious ghostlike noises heard”; more tenuously, one might also apply D940 “Magic forests” or F990 “Inanimate objects act as living.”
Original Mythos, “Of the Slender Man”:
We’ve been trying to collect as much literature as possible on this “Slender Man”, the ancient god of death and despair. So far all we’ve found are stories throughout the ages of people being put to death while being forced into the very depths of madness. No matter what culture he descends on though, the outcome has always been the same. For in the wake of the Slender Man all that is left is a cold, dark road covered in corpses with agony on their distorted faces.
Original Mythos, “Ceiba Trees”:
Mayans considered the ceiba tree to be sacred tree. Ceibas, are huge, with long breaches, and always the main part of many scary legends in the South of Mexico. Where I used to live(Tabasco) old people kept telling stories about the Devil coming out of those trees or how some evil spirit disguised as a Ceiba that lured drunk men and made them disappear to never be seen.
Original Mythos, “Withering Walkers”:
According to him, in old old times, people used to blame the walkers whenever somebody disappeared in the woods, close to the black mounds of earth known as faerie mounds or close to the mountains. They were thought to be “svartalfar”, or black elves/faeries, and that doesn’t mean they were anything like tolkienesque or D&D elves. They were the dark people, monsters that lived underground and only ventured out to steal children and abduct travelers.
Original Mythos, “The Green Man”:
There are countless tales of the miraculous deeds of the Green Man. But not one mentions what ultimately became of him. During the middle ages, churches carved images of his face into their buildings. He was more and more often seen by the people as an evil thing, something that did not fit into their daily lives.
Marble Hornets, “Entry #38″:
How much do you know about this area? When I first moved here, I remember hearing a story that back in the 1800s they thought this place was blessed because everything would grow so fast. They would take their worst criminals, murderers, child molesters, and they would put them on trial before God out here. They would tie them up to the trees, and the idea was that they would get stretched out, kind of like a rack. They never fed or gave them water though, so they would just die of dehydration. They never cut down the bodies. They would just burn the whole tree with them still on it. They stopped doing it, though, after a kid went missing, and he finally turned up in the area where they would do the trials. He had been dismembered and strung up.
