Tumblr media
whew u gave me a lot to go thru and it was difficult going from link 1 to more links but. anyways
Tumblr media
i didnt mind this article at first bc i did read a lot of research arguing lesbians were exposed to more testosterone in the womb etc and show some masculinised traits. as an example women with hyperandrogenism or PCOS are more likely to be lesbians iirc. but i started to take issue w the link at this point:
Tumblr media
this just seems like a subtle way of saying gnc women are more male somehow. and it hasn’t been true for my experience. i can only think of one butch lesbian i’ve been with that had a more masculine voice & body than me. only one! the rest had bigger boobs, narrower shoulders, are shorter than me, have higher pitched voices, etc. they just had more masculine style & mannerisms compared to me. i’ve also come across bisexual women who are quite masculine, more masculine than many lesbians. soooo while i think there’s a link, i think it’s frankly offensive that this paper framed butch lesbians as somehow more male biologically. it seems like bias that they tried to confirm with research.
Tumblr media
honestly i don’t fully disagree here. clearly some ppl are naturally quite gnc bc some people refuse to be masculine/feminine regardless of socialisation and pressure. many butch lesbians & feminine gay men will have stories about rejecting gender roles from a very young age. i don’t know what aspect of it is innate bc i doubt its as simple as liking dresses being innately feminine but perhaps more like, ur preferences from childhood are associated with which group you feel more kinship with somehow perhaps? idk. but to me it’s clear there’s something innate to gender non-conformity. not to say if a woman likes dresses & heels & shaving then she must be Innately Feminine or sth or that a woman liking suits must be Innately Masculine, but there’s sth beyond socialisation playing into certain preferences in gendered items at a young age.
Tumblr media
i think intersex disorders are very broad & have a massive variation that making blanket statements about someone’s sexuality based on whether they could or could not be into someone who’s intersex but genetically male doesn’t make sense. someone who’s genetically male but assigned female at birth could very well look very much female in every sense & is socialised as female, or they could be visibly different from other women. so i don’t think it’s logical to argue someone has to be bi or can still be a lesbian bc we do not know specifics here. like the wife of caster semenya said she’s only ever been into men iirc.. in her case maybe she’s just straight or perhaps bi with strong preferences for men ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk. seems like a weird thing to debate someone’s theoretical sexuality
Tumblr media
i have no opinion on this.
Tumblr media
i mean i also think if someone is genetically male but was raised & assigned female then calling them men & arguing they can’t possibly actually be a woman is weird? like they have a medical condition that made their bodies develop a certain way which resulted in them being assigned a sex that doesn’t match their genetic sex but it does match their phenotypic one, & they were raised the same as someone whos female so like… why argue they’re men? who does it benefit? who are they hurting for this to be a very important distinction to make & hill to die on?
btw why does it seem like ppl are trying to cancel vvitchscum rn? what got people so heated?

Hi!! Since it's pride month, i'm gunna be sharing my ninjago character hcs! :)
Kai
-He/him, is trying to experiment with they/them pronouns aswell
-Bisexual with a lean towards women, thought he was straight then realized he also liked men and other genders aswell
-Cisgender and incredibly supportive of transgender people
-will gladly kick and/or punch a homphobe/transphobe
Nya
-She/they queen
-DemiAce (Demiromantic Asexual) she didn't have a lot of friends growing up, which in turn also means she never really crushed on anyone aswell.
-thought they were Aromantic for a while until she looked it up on google and went "OHHH"
-Demigirl, and just like her brother, they will gladly kick and/or punch a homophobe/transphobe in the face.
Cole
-He/him/all, he prefers he/him but can go with any pronouns really
-Gay. I think a lot of us agree on that one
-Didn't have any crushes on girls but somehow didn't connect the dots until he was like 15-16
-Alot of internalised homophobia at first because he was scared his dad was going to be disappointed in him, he wasn't but Cole was still scared
-Idk but he's definitely not cis, maybe agender or non-binary?
Jay
-He/him
-pansexual, he does not give two shits
-growing up, he had a LOT of crushes like i mean a LOT, on boys, girls, androgynous people, just.. everyone really
-Ed and Edna just accepted it and even encouraged him to be whoever he was.
-speaking of which, he's transmasc. Idk why it just makes sense
-Had a "i'm not like other girls" phase, then turns out he wasn't a girl at all
-Is on T and had top surgery between S7 and S8
Zane
-He/they/it
-Panromantic Asexual, it just makes sense man
-When they met their father, he asked if it was normal for him to feel attraction at all
-ofc It's dad said yes, then they had an hour long conversation about attraction, the LGBTQ+ community, etc.
-Agender. It was built as a man, but since learning about LGBT stuff, he's found an identity he was comfortable with.
-also they made like.. little metal plates resembling a female and male chest just incase dysphoria hits
Pixal
-Goes by all pronouns
-Greyromantic Asexual, never thought he could ever experience attraction then Zane came along and he was like "uh oh i think i'm inlove"
-wasn't sure what it was at first, human emotions were confusing for her at the time.
-They eventually learned over time and she's proud of who she is.
-They're also Agender, not for the same reason Zane was, though. She was actually supposed to be an androgynous android, but then decided it would rather have a more feminine body, voice, face, etc.
-His father, Cyrus Borg, just kinda went "Okay whatever you want sweetie :)"
-if dysphoria ever hits, she just uses the different breastplates her father made.
Lloyd
-He/It, he just likes it
-demiromantic asexual, thought he was straight his whole life then he found out about the Aromantic and Asexual spectrum
-it told its mother and she was like "that's great honey, do you wanna drink some tea now?"
-was genuinely surprised she didn't have a reaction at all even though he hyped himself up the night prior its coming out, and also practiced in the mirror in which the others overheard and now he denies it ever happening
-he found out like.. way after his dad kinda yknow.. 💀.. so obviously he literally couldnt tell him
-Transmasc. Bc i'm transmasc and I say so.
-he has indeed beat up a transphobe/homophobe before. Multiple times, actually.

On your last post about lesbians, it might sound weird, but I am asking it in genuine faith. How do I know I am lesbian and not bi. I never experienced sexual attraction to men, but sadly I had plenty of grouping, grooming, exposure to inappropriate materials, assault experiences when I was teen. That left me very confused. For a while I tried to date men in hopes to fix what is wrong with me (lack of sexual attraction to them whatsoever). I am still unsure I can really say I lack attraction to males, despite not dating anyone for more then decade and not wanting to date them ever. But I have had all those experiences. Should I consider myself bi based on that? So far due to amounts of trauma I am only stuck exploring my memory back and forth and sometimes panic 'what if i actually liked that second just a bit'? Or how do I really know I did not like it, outside of not liking it, bc what if I am confused/in denial/just traumatized? I know it sounds weird, but it is honestly how my brain works at the moment due to amounts of gaslight that surrounded all of it and peer pressure due to living in very conservative society. I did not knew or see any lesbian till much later in life, and for long time I was sure that I am just traumatized het that needs fixing her repulsion and I have weird escapist obsessions with my female best friends. Is that a bi experience people on tumblr always talk about that I should not go with to lesbian places? I know I said I lack attraction to men, but I wonder how can I really know for sure to prove it. Would I know if I have had it? I am much ashamed to bring it to any lesbian space to be honest, so I lurk on the side and don't talk.
Hi anon!
This is what I mean when I say that traumatized bi women calling themselves lesbians make things more difficult and confusing for everyone: traumatized lesbians don't willingly date men, no matter how hurt/confused we are, it's het/bisexual behavior. (I'm making an exception for having a "boyfriend" in elementary or middle school and not going further than a kiss, normally at that point any lesbian would be sure she doesn't want to do that with any boy.)
To be clear, I don't blame you here. I'm just saying that if bi women were more honest instead of calling themselves lesbians, you wouldn't torment yourself nearly as much. In my country, 50% of lesbian-identified women admitted that they were attracted to men. So surely this makes things confusing and that's why the common lesbian narratives don't make sense: lesbians have sex with men when we're miserable, we can be married with men for decades and have children with them before realizing we are lesbians, the only way a lesbian would be a gold star is if we have a perfect privileged life free from violence and homophobia, etc. Truth is, a lot of lesbians (including me) showed early signs of homosexuality no matter how ignorant we were of its existence and we never seriously think of dating a man, let alone act on it, no matter how traumatized we are and how much it can protect us from lesbophobia.
In my opinion, lesbians are not the women you should confide in about this, but bi women, so you can have a better idea of how wide that spectrum of experiences is. Sure, a lot of bi women hook up with men regularly or end up marrying a man, but that's not all of them! I personally know a bi woman in her 30s who never did anything with a man because, while she feels attraction, it's not enough to want to act on it. I know another one who is simply not interested in dating at all because she prefers reading and traveling alone.
You don't need to prove anything to anyone. As someone who did a lot of therapy for trauma due to male violence and lesbophobia, I think your focus should be on letting go of your past and creating the life you want, which is something you can do no matter your sexual orientation :)
I hope it helped!

ok this post is a "bi lesbian" discourse exclusion zone. I will talk about it here and then hopefully never again bc I've decided that it's not relevant to my journey. even if you have a further response triggered by what I say here I'm done talking about it so you can make your own post if you want
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can understand this but I feel like you should just say that. same with this
Tumblr media
I think "bi but I prefer women" is much more straightforward and understandable than "bi lesbian." the split attraction model requires some explaining but once you get that the idea of "homoromantic bisexual" also makes sense. and that's a unique, specific identity label unlike "bi lesbian" which is jamming together two existing labels that don't quite coexist
Tumblr media
that is what lesbian means so you shouldn't say you're a lesbian who likes men. which is what bi lesbian implies. I think people are just more likely to encounter self-identified bi lesbians online so they think it's an online thing
Tumblr media
I agree. I think that whatever "bi lesbian" means to the people who identify with that term can probably be explained with different terms that don't have such implications
Tumblr media Tumblr media
no this does make sense to me. I think sapphic is definitely a better umbrella term bc lesbian is a specific identity that's generally incompatible with being bi. and you bring up a good point about lesbianism and lack of attraction to men. I said in my post I think it's possible to be attracted to men and still identify with the lesbian community over bisexuals but if women who are into men are calling themselves lesbians it will give lesbophobes fuel
Tumblr media
do you think bi women are invading lesbian spaces...? it's true that bi women and lesbians will have some different experiences that the other group can't relate to but I wish that we could have solidarity with each other. but I agree with you that bisexual and lesbian are separate identities that shouldn't overlap and that sapphic is more appropriate. what you say makes sense
I really do think it's possible for someone to be attracted to multiple genders but decide that they will never have a relationship with a man and will always prioritize women. this is what political lesbianism was about and that was mostly terf shit so I'm not saying it's a good thing but there were people out there doing it. if you're attracted to men but you never act on it or talk about it and meanwhile you openly have relationships with women I don't see why you can't call yourself a lesbian and align yourself with the lesbian community...? that's what I meant with my joke about genotype vs phenotype. you can ignore the attraction to men that exists within you and only express attraction to women. (though it is a salient point that a woman who's attracted to men sometimes calling herself a lesbian provides a data point in favor of people who don't think lesbians are real.) I don't think that's unhealthy the way it would be for a closeted gay man to do the same but I think it's unusual and requires a lot of words to explain and those words probably shouldn't be "bi lesbian" bc it makes a lot of people mad

Hii! I hope your matchups are still open! If so, I would like to request one for bsd and Genshin ( if you only do one per matchup then I prefer bsd ^^). (By the way, if my English is a bit bad, it’s bcs its not my first language. So sorry!)
Im an INFP, cancer, bisexual woman. I’m 5’7 (i think lol, in meters I’m 1,71m), I have purple hair in a tomboyish sidetails hairstyle and I’m a bit chubby. I am not a minor.
Usually I really try to talk to people when I first meet them, but it’s pretty hard for me because I tend to shut off in situations that I haven’t prepared myself for or where I’m not comfortable with. But when I like someone and want to be friends (or when I’m friends) with them, I’m really intense (ig I don’t know how to describe it), loud, and excited (which at times can be a bit much for people, so I tend to try and not do that a lot)
I’d like to say I’m a warm person, I love to tell stories to people and I love being around the people I love. But I really like to be on my own too, after a day with talking to people I adore to just close myself off and to do something on my own.
I like people who give the same energy that you give them back. I’m pretty sensitive with like how people give their energy back (bdkabdks idk if this makes sense) and so if someone that I just met doesn’t look happy if I’m talking to them or if they don’t really pay attention I will get really nervous and I would be scared to talk to them.
My hobbies are: Gaming, drawing and swimming. I’m super interested in animals and space, and I rlly love watching documentaries about those things ! I also really love supernatural things/shows (although I don’t believe in the supernatural)
My dislikes are: Running, sweating (it’s so gross and you get like icky from it and euehgghhhhh) people that smile to your face and then shit about you behind your back. I hate the last one the absolute most, like if you hate me then at least show it and don’t pretend to like me.
Well,, that’s all!! I hope you have an amazing day/night and thank you in advance <333
I found your match! Come to meet them, c'mon c'mon!
Tumblr media
Give this boy all the love you have!
Atsushi might be a bit stiff at first, but don't worry! He'll warm up soon, just needs to get used to the possible attention as he isn't very used on receiving positive ones. But when he gets used to it, I'm of the opinion he becomes pretty affectionate himself, not clingy but responds well to the affection, with a hug, or kiss on the forehead or pats on the head. Who knows, who knows. Not me!
He is usually pretty quiet while you talk, but no problem! He is definitely listening. He simply wishes to listen and let you say everything you have to say, before giving his own input into it.
Also pretty understanding when you want to be left alone: as long he knows you aren't doing anything dangerous of course. He'll just check on you silently, if you feel comfortable about it! Without saying anything.
(He just gets worried easily)
But if that annoys you, Atsushi will stop of course! Your comfort is his number one priority.
Tumblr media
I know, I know. A bit of an odd-ball, isn't she?
But hear me out!
I know her lack of expression and seriousness can be off putting at some at some level, but Shenhe isn't by any mean cold towards you: she is responsive to the attention you give her, and welcomes your energy with open arms. For the lack of expression, she makes it up with her own actions and gestures (the strong must protect the sweet, as some wise man said)
An attentive listener, can be surprisingly partecipative active in the conversation with the questions she makes about what she doesn't understand or doesn't know, pretty sincere with her lack of information, such as astronomy things. Even though she is definitely most curious about animals, knowing her own lifestyle while living into nature, so I think she'll do a lot of questions about animals that don't live in the habitat she did.
She understands better than anyone the need to stay alone for a while. Maybe she too will ask it a few times because of her situation. So she won't press on it, or check too much while that, just waiting for you to come to see her first.

Hi, I would like a matchup for Wednesday, please. I’m bisexual, my pronouns: She/Her. I’m from Sweden.
Physical appearance: I’m 1,55 cm. I’ve got blue eyes and long dark brown hair. I have light milky skin and a snake tattoo on my right wrist with red ink. I’m on the leaner side but got curves and a hourglass body shape. I’m not big on makeup, but when I do wear it it’s just, concealer, mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss preferably a dark red one but still not that pigmented. I pretty often wear tight fitting clothes in dark colors-black is my happy color! But I also appreciate loose fitting hoodies and some sweats. I love to wear heals and boots!! Combat boots is my go to! I love necklaces, oh and I almost forgot rings!
Personality: I’m a pretty low energy girlie, BUT I have SEVERE adhd, which makes me hyperactive if I haven’t taken my medication. Id not say that I’m a extrovert at all, even if I have a easy time to make a lot of friends. So I’m an introvert to 99,5%. People often say that I have dark/morbid humor, which is totally true. I have a hard time being sarcastic, even if I’m sarcastic all the time bc some people don’t know the difference between me being fr or just joking around. I love writing and to read, I prefer to write fiction but also poems, and I love to read the older books nobody else wants to read. I actually am a total lover girl-in secret! I have a hard time opening up to ppl about my traumas, emotions or just how I feel. But once I can trust them and I’ve opened up to them, I’m attached. Oh yeah I have attachment issues, and I tend to fall head over heals for ppl who wouldn’t even give me the time of their day. It’s horrible actually.
Hobbies: I loooove to read, so that means i have nothing against a day in to just cuddle and read in a comfortable silence, with some good food-which is ironic bc I’ve struggled a lot with different types of eating disorders. I love to watch a good scary movie, the classics are the best. Take walks and just sit by the lake and just TALK. I love my black little kitten named Ozzy! He follows me everywhere I go <3 I have a black Doberman too, ppl say he’s scary but he’s just a big misunderstood boy <3
Well that’s me🥀
Hi there, sweetie! I really hope you like this a lot!
Wednesday (Netflix) Matchup
Your Wednesday (Netflix) soulmate is...
WEDNESDAY ADDAMS!
Tumblr media
She would understand your dark humor and as well as black being your colour because Wednesday is not fond of bright colours it makes sense after all and plus, you guys often match your outfits together.
The two of you have a passion for writing and reading books as well, you guys love to read each other's stories out loud and read together as a couple together in a nice and quiet area in the school or the library.
She would love to watch a scary movie with you while playing with your little black kitten Ozzy's fur throughout the whole movie with you while enjoying the sound of the people screaming in the horror movies.

(This got explicit in the sexual sense (just for context it's not elaborate) im sorry you can still delete if you don't wanna answer)
Kay so I'm queer
A walking pride rainbow if you will
Then I'm also asexual, and majority know what asexuality generally represents
So when it comes to gender, as per cis men and women, I'm unsure if I can still be interested in 'men', cus we all know how boys are like (and I'm in the worst continent to look for a boyfriend in X_X )
So I've constantly asked myself 'What is it that a man could give me that women would still be able to provide, but is more common and easier to obtain from them?'
And the top answer I could get from that was ✨cock✨ (trans women would still provide and I'm greatful)
But then I'm asexual????? And I don't think I want a meat stick in me besides when I wanna start a family
And strap ons still exist sooooo
So then I asked myself 'what else can they provide???'
All I can come up with is muscles, strength, height and deeper voice
All of which women can very much still provide
So the question is
Am I under the bisexual umbrella? Even doe the only genders I see are society's cis quota cus they keep trying to shove it down our throats, yet for queer peeps gender is just another detail of identity, so aren't I pan cus gender doesn't really factor into my attraction?
Or am I lesbian? Cus time and time again the universe seems to be trying to convince me to just be queer and woman lover all the way
What do you think
hmm this is actually very deep and im so FAR from a professional so don't take my opinion to heart bc im not qualified for anything but
okay in short it seems to me like maybe you're attracted to femininity and fem aligned genders? it doesn't have to be sexual or anything (but even if you're asexual, that shit is a whole ass spectrum with levels to it so could still be possible and normal!!).
bisexuality is attaction to more than two genders (it's the definition!!) so you can still be attracted to masc aligned people, yes! but if you fully do not see gender even if you're asexual, but rather find people romantically appealing for who they are then id say you could be panromantic? gender as a whole is so damn complicated too, bc it makes pansexuality in particular a bit difficult. i used to think i was pan but then i had a preference for 'women' because of some traits society put on them such as being more emotional (which are stereotypes) so i then reverted to being bi. but if you find that you prefer fem aligned people then maybe you're biromantic with a preference for them? if you still hold attraction to men or masc aligned people then you still are bi yes. you could very well be sapphic actually tho if you find that fem aligned (or masc - but not cismam and non-binary too!) hit different depending on your own gender.
basically, this shit complicated as fuck and i think you're biromantic! BUT always go with the term that feels right to you! if you're fine identifying as queer that's perfectly fine! or if you feel panromantic is right then that's also fine? or bi and pan for short if your asexuality is also complicated because lord knows that shit took me so long to figure out fr. this was deffo an interesting rant so thanks for sending it in! i probably didn't help bc as you can see i know next to nothing JDNDJFB someone more qualified could probably answer better

Sort of random rambling nonsense but you’re the person with the closest opinions to my own I think (you even have a Clarke url and she’s still my favorite ever!) so apologies if it comes off bitter and unhinged BUT. I love byler, prefer it even, as a ship because I love Will and the childhood best friends trope sucks me in every time, but the fandom is literally insane and I can’t stand it. I think it’s because I’m in my 20s and a lot of them are teens but some of the behavior is just inexcusable honestly? “El has to be independent” horrible takes everywhere, Mike HAS to be gay (which is just biphobia most of the time), Will will NEVER be happy unless he’s with Mike and never moves on, Mike only liked El because she had no hair and looked like a boy at first, etc. Don’t even get me started on the “proofs” that get so unhinged that I genuinely wonder if some of them are ok—today I saw one comparing a shot from the Suzie scenes to the last supper painting???? And even though I am neutral on mileven it’s clear that’s what they’re going with so all of this absolute byler endgame certainty everywhere also baffles me. The thing is, I find the ship adorable still, but I really wish the stans could get a collective reality check because they’re embarrassing and obnoxious and sometimes. I wonder how they could’ve watched vol2 and not realized they’re telling the unrequited love angle in canon and can just make transformative content to alleviate that in fanon. /end vent
OH ANON I LOVED THIS ASK SO MUCH, thank u for sharing how you’re feeling and i can just say: SAME, FUCKING SAME. first i’m gonna say something if u know me/my account, u should know that i was (i think i still am, i’m just on....hiatus) a hardcore byler shipper since 2016/season 1, when this ship used to be a crackship and a joke for many people, it was TOUGH back then, i’ve been loving them for years, bc just like u said: childhood friends to lovers is amazing, it’s one of my favorite tropes ever, i have many other ships like this... and just like u said i also love will, i LOVE will, with all my heart (i’m a willelsteve stan since 2016), and now about the fandom i’ll say, it was understandable having hope before vol 2, the whole mike not saying i love you to el was a bit weird to me and to the rest of the fandom, my account before and after vol 2 is two different accounts lmao, before vol 2 i was being hopeful, i made some gifsets with theories and all, i thought that the only way the story would make sense was if byler happened/mileven break up, but after vol 2 something changed, it was like if something finally clicked you know? every missing part, every doubt, every confusion i had disappeared and things became cristal clear to me, and i sit and thought about everything that happened in season 4 and the past seasons and i finally took my byler shipper glasses off and i saw how naive i was being, also a little dumb lmao, u don’t need to be smart af or understand everything about media to know that the direction byler is going is the unrequited one, byler actually never stood a chance, mike and will’s relationship was important to will for him to find out he is gay, it’s actually a little cliche i know but it makes sense, if it wasn’t mike it would have been lucas, or dustin, but since mike is will’s best friend it was him, and it makes sense will would fall in love with the first person to show him kindness and was friendly, we all know how caring mike can be with him, so it makes sense, i can talk about myself like i find out i was bisexual bc i fell in love with my best friend, and spoiler alert we didn’t work, but i will always be grateful for her because i was able to find out who i am (insert the i know what u are meme here lmao), which i think is the same for will, this is the story the duffers are telling, this is part of will’s storyline.... now let’s go to some topics:
the “el has to be independent” take: BULLSHIT, i think if u have been watching the show u should know that el, just like joyce and nancy are independent af, el was away from mike in s2 and she had adventures by HERSELF to find out who she is, to find out about her powers, her mom, etc....in season 3 she also had adventures by herself and max, and in season 4 we saw her again going back to the lab by herself to figure stuff out and get her powers back.......so as we can see, ELEVEN IS INDEPENDENT, but at the end of the day she always comes back to mike bc she’s IN LOVE with him and people need to accept that, it doesn’t make her weak or not independent, it’s part of who she is, she’s in love, female characters can be in love and independent, they don’t have to pick one, they can have BOTH. PERIOD.
the “mike has to be gay” ............sigh.......... tbh anon i’m tired of talking about this, i’ve already talked about how the byler fandom can be biphobic af sometimes which is one of the reasons why i’m.....distant from them now, so i’m not gonna speak about this again, just know that if u don’t think that mike ever had any romantic feelings for el ur literally embarrassing urself, he’s not confused or anything, mike was created in love with el.... let’s talk about mike btw, remember how i said that after vol 2 something clicked? so mike is part of this, mike has SO MUCH overlooked trauma and people don't even realize it, el’s “death” is season 1 marked him for good, and everything we are watching  now is the result of this trauma, season 2 is not the “best mike season” like people say, mike was depressed, going through pstd, he literally says to will that he thought he was going crazy, and after all that sadness he finds out el is alive again and WOW, it was like he finally could breath again, we can see in his eyes, the longing, the sadness, the relief..... and just like that he had to let her go again so she could save the world ONCE AGAIN, and he was so scared, he was crying and he made her promise to him that she would be back..... and then we have season 3, el can’t leave her house bc you know my baby girl is wanted in 65656564 countries lmao so #GIRLBOSS of her if u ask me, so mike has to go to her house to spend time with her since she cant leave her house that much or go to public places, and that makes him be distant from his friends for a little bit but can we blame him? like i know that he could manage his time better but lets not forget that hes also a kid KDJGSNJDKGNKJGNSG like he was what? 13? in season 3? do u really expect a 13 year old to know EVERYTHING? but people say “lucas can do that with max just fine” first max it’s not el, like i said el is wanted in 545645645 countries, it’s easy to manage ur time with ur friends/girlfriend when ur girlfriend can hang out with u all the time, like lucas can take max to watch movies, mike can’t, anyways you know what i mean, this is getting too long so i will link u to these posts where i talked about mike and mileven and how i think his storyline makes sense in s4 here and here, the show have been telling us about mike’s insecurity and fear about losing el for seasons now, but we weren’t paying attention....
and finally the “Will will NEVER be happy unless he’s with Mike and never moves on” BIG SIGH, i said it once and i’ll say it again: DON’T REDUCE WILL DOWN TO HIS FEELINGS FOR MIKE, JUST DON’T, it’s part of him? YES, but it’s not everything about him as a character, the whole “Will will only be happy if he’s with mike” is such bullshit bc idk if u noticed but will already lived without mike, bc he never had mike to begin with, you can't lose something you never had, if we could take away the trauma from the upside down off him we could see that will can be happy just by being next to his friends, to his family, tbh i feel like will’s storyline is about growing up, being able to love and accept himself and understand that he’s loved, he’s not a mistake or a freak, that’s will’s character, and i hope more than anything that my baby boy can learn how to love himself and finally be free, el kind of had the same stuff in season 4 too, when she finally stand up to her abuser and said she’s not the monster, ofc it’s still a working in progress bc she blames herself for max now but is still something, and i want will to have that too.
and FINALLY the “proofs” i’ll just say: LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i’m sorry jfkgnkdjnsdkjgndksjgndkgnskjgndkjgn i laugh so much everytime i read their theories, they are so unserious, they are queerbating themselves and they don't even realize that, they DO need a reality check asap.... but hey whatever makes them happy i just hope they're not assholes when none of this happens
ok i already talked too much, bottom line is: ship whatever u want, whatever u love, byler is such a sweet ship, they are cute af (the fandom is nasty tho), but we all know this is not the direction the show is going and as long as you know that....be free, u can ship non canon ships you know, shipping is not about canon or endgames, is about a dynamic u love no matter what. and we know that will has feelings for mike and like u said we can work with that, i know it’s sad when ur favorite pairing it’s not canon but what can i say? it happens, i have many non canon ships and i still adore them more than anything in the world.
(i'm sorry if there are any typos, i’m sleepy af)

I've been seeing a lot of posts about this all over social media, and while the majority of them are fine and just people expressing their opinions, a lot of people from both sides of the argument have been saying some really inexcusable stuff (such as telling people on the opposing side to off themselves, etc) and it's really pissing me off. Pls everyone idc if you agree w me or not but at least try to be mature and respectful when engaging in these conversations bc the goal is learning, understanding, tolerance, and cooperation (working together to find solutions to problems that will benefit all of us). So here's my stance on the issue, and feel free to reply, ask questions, or dm me and start a conversation regardless of your veiws. Just be nice! Here's my opinions, based off my own personal experience:
To start off: pansexuality is not inherently biphobic and/or transphobic
Yes, there are pansexuals who are biphobic, and yes they harm the transgender community in that sense. This is because generally pansexuals who are biphobic say they bisexuals are transphobic and essentially invalidate binary trans people's identity as a man or woman by saying that bisexuals are only attracted to cis men and cis women, not trans people. However, the majority of pansexual people do not think this way. Personally (and most of the pansexuals as talked to agree w me), I do not believe that bisexuality is transphobic. Why? Trans women are women, and trans men are men. If you will not date a trans person simply bc they are trans, then you're transphobic, but that has absolutely nothing to do w your sexuality. My own and most people's understanding of bisexuality (and the definition you get if you Google it, and the definition that most bisexuals will give you), is that bisexuality means attraction to 2 or more genders (which yes, could mean all), with a preference. With. A. Preference. I identified as bi to myself for years, and came out as bi for almost a year, never feeling as if the label fully fit me or that I was fully understood by the community bc there is always sm emphasis on the fact that bisexuals have a preference, while I never have. I don't think anyone is less than anyone else for having a preference, or better than anyone else for not having a preference. Pansexuality simply allows me to be apart of a smaller more specific community that fully understands my experience w attraction. I also know that bisexuality can be used as an umbrella term for anyone attracted to 2+ genders, but in the same way that it's not biphobic for lesbians to prefer to date other lesbians bc of their shared experience, I like having a smaller community that specifically experiences attraction in the same way that I do. I've also seen a lot of people talking about how people seem to think that bisexuals only care about sex, and that pansexuals think theyre better bc they're uwu innocent babies. I'm not entirely sure I'm not on the ace spectrum somewhere but lemme tell you that does not make me any less of a whore. No one is better than anyone else for how much or little they think about or enjoy sex.
2nd; bisexuality is not inherently transphobic.
Yes, there are bisexuals who are transphobic, but this is not the majority of the community. Most bi people consider trans women to be real women (which they are) and trans men to be real men (which they are). I will say it again; if you won't date someone just bc they're trans, you are transphobic, but that has nothing to do w your sexuality. As for non binary people, yes, bisexuality includes them too. Bisexuality is not inherently transphobic.
3rd; all mspec labels are fucking valid.
Whether you identify as bisexual, pansexual, omnisexual, or polysexual, you are valid. You can use bisexuality as an umbrella term if that's what you're most comfortable w, or if the definition perfectly describes your relationship w attraction then that's cool too. If you feel that pansexuality, omnisexuality, or polysexuality better describes you and you enjoy having a smaller more specific community to fully relate to, guess what, that's also cool. No one is better than anyone else, and while there are members of every community who feel that they are, they do not represent everyone.
4th; panphobia/omniphobia/polyphobia only comes from the mspec community, if it comes from outside, it's probably biphobia
Let me explain; there is no problem that comes from people who are not attracted to multiple genders that everyone on this spectrum doesn't face. Bisexuality is a spectrum that we all fall on, an umbrella term that we all fit under. This means that unless it's coming from a person or group on this spectrum, it's probably biphobia you're facing. There are 2 types of biphobia: the biphobia that comes from mspecs, and the biphobia that comes from people who aren't on the spectrum of bisexuality. The biphobia that comes from inside is only against people who identify as bisexual, and the biphobia that comes from outside is against anyone who is attracted to multiple genders. I'm not saying there aren't a few instances of people who arent mspec targeting a specific group and not every mspec identity, but most of the time, if it's from the outside, it's classified as biphobia, bc that includes all of us.
In conclusion, this is what the mspec sexualities are and some of my final thoughts;
Bisexuality = attraction to 2+ genders with or without a preference. It can be used as an umbrella term by the whole mspec community, or as a specific label on it's own. It includes trans and non binary people, and is not a transphobic label. There are transphobic bisexuals, but the fact that they are transphobic and the fact that they are bisexual are not related in any way. They are not more or less than any other mspec identity, or sexuality in general.
Pansexuality = attraction to all genders without a preference. It is not biphobic and/or transphobic. There are biphobic and/or transphobic pansexuals but the fact that they are biphobic and/or transphobic is not related to their pansexuality. Many people who identify as bisexual describe their attraction in the same way as pansexuals. This is 100% valid as bisexuality can be used as an umbrella term and the label you identify w is all about your comfort. They are not more or less than any other mspec identity or sexuality in general.
Omnisexuality = attraction to all genders w a preference. It is not biphobic and/or transphobic. There are biphobic and/or transphobic omnisexuals but the fact that they are biphobic and/or transphobic is not related to their omnisexuality. Many people who identify as bisexual describe their attraction in the same way as omnisexuals. This is 100% valid as bisexuality can be used as an umbrella term and the label you identify w is all about your comfort. They are not more or less than any other mspec identity or sexuality in general.
Polysexuality = attraction to more than 2, but not all genders. It is not biphobic and/or transphobic. There are biphobic and/or transphobic polysexuals but the fact that they are biphobic and/or transphobic is not related to their polysexuality. Many people who identify as bisexual describe their attraction in the same way as polysexuals. This is 100% valid as bisexuality can be used as an umbrella term and the label you identify w is all about your comfort. They are not more or less than any other mspec identity or sexuality in general.
Honestly, I think we all get enough hate from inside and outside the lgbtqia+ community and we need to stick together and have each others backs. It's not the microlabels that are causing problems, it's the exclusionists. Invalidating eo's experiences and saying that biphobia is a bigger problem, panphobia is a bigger problem, omniphobia is a bigger problem, or polyphobia is a bigger problem, isn't gonna help anyone or solve anything. We can have slightly different experiences and still relate and support eo. Also, even if you have a problem w a specific label, pls just ask your questions genuinely, and try to understand the opposing side. Just have a mature conversation. If you're too young or immature to do that then you probably shouldn't be on social media. Calling eo names and telling eo to off ourselves isn't helping anything and there is no excuse for it. I've always loved the lgbtqia+ community for it's love and acceptance, but the more active I become within the community itself, the more I realise how toxic it can be. Sometimes I'm genuinely embarrassed to part of this community. Especially when it's grown adults acting like children that is causing the problems. Pls do better. Thank you for your time, thank you for reading, I love you, have a nice day!!!
Also I just want to add that ik there are more mspec identities than this, and you're all so valid. These are just the sexualities that ik enough about to give a proper statement on and the ones I've seen mentioned in this discourse the most. I'm actively trying to learn more about the mspec identities I mentioned, and those that I didn't. Pls feel free to give me any info on any sexuality (doesn't even have to be mspec I just want to learn more so I can be good ally for everyone), or ask me any questions about my own sexuality, and pls let me know if there is anything I should add or any misinformation in this post (I will not be including blatant blankphobia against any mspec identity so don't even try it bitches)

Tbh I agree that Kinsey 1 bisexuals shouldn’t really be grouped with 50/50 or Kinsey 5 bisexuals. Like I fully understand why they are, it doesn’t make any sense at all to divide bisexuals up based on preference for either sex because you could basically have infinite labels (and it can prob change throughout your life, idk). But the fact is (like some of the notes on that post say), a Kinsey 1 bi is effectively and practically heterosexual, and a Kinsey 5 bi is effectively homosexual (not ACTUALLY homosexual, I need to clarify. But practically.)
Like, I am a febfem. I have been with one man (was drunk and thought I should try it) and I found it repulsive. I do have some degree of attraction for males (maybe like movie or book characters who I would never meet in real life?) but never would want to touch one or actually be in a relationship with one. Any attraction is basically theoretical. I have a friend who calls herself “a little bit bi” because, according to her “women are objectively prettier than men and boobs are hot I guess, but I’m disgusted by vaginas and would never want to touch one other than my own”. Now, according to the definitions we operate under, she is just as bi as I am. Despite having no desire to be with a woman whatsoever, just maybe gets turned on by boobs or something.
I fully agree that there’s no practical way of dividing us up but at the same time I find it frustrating that myself and my friend are grouped into the exact same sexuality and there’s no real way of specifying here. My friend will never be with a woman and back a few decades ago when it was less acceptable, would never have even acknowledged any attraction to women and would have happily lived a straight life. I would’ve struggled terribly as I only have a (realistic) desire to be with women.
I’m not arguing for the definitions to change or anything, I’m just having a rant really. Like we have the term “febfem” but that’s very niche and tbh most people have never heard of it, and that still implies a “choice” to only be with women, whether out of preference or for political reasons. I prefer women because I was born this way, not because I chose it. Just like my friend who prefers men.
imo someone primarily dating the opposite sex vs primarily dating the same sex vs dating both equally is what should be used to differentiate not where you fall on the kinsey scale. bisexuality is a broad spectrum with a wide range of experiences and sure some bisexuals will have lived experiences almost identical to heterosexuals. but i think it’s also important to be open about not actually being heterosexual & vice versa for bi ppl with strong preference for the same sex regardless and putting an end to the myth that gay & het people can also be attracted to both sexes to some degree.
also ngl your friend doesn’t even sound bi to me lol “boobs are hot i guess and women are prettier than men” doesn’t sound convincing. lots of het women sexualise female bodies bc female bodies are sexualised in general but express no actual interest in women. they just acknowledge what even gay men will acknowledge, which is that women are pretty (even gay men will say women are better looking than men).

eehee here it is the long awaited results of my chaotic ass survey about our hornies it’s so long holy heck, but I have seperated it into a couple sections to make sense of it all (omg if you read all of it lemme give you a kith teehee) ahhhh lol its SO nerdy haha but i hope that ya enjoy nonetheless! ✨
In this essay, I will....(hahah jk jk this is just all for fun)
1. Demographics Analysis
2. Polls on Fic Content
3. Member Specific Analysis
4. Deep Dive into the Juicy Questions (Confessions)
5. General Thoughts and Conclusion
6.  Cute shit that ya’ll said that made me giggle
*Unpopular opinions will be made into their own post to give them ample space and analysis!
Other Notes:
Out of 100 individuals surveyed, 44 were readers, 2 were only writers, and 54 were both readers and writers.
Statistical significance can be effected by sampling, selection, and response bias (yeah i took a stats class teehee) and personal biases
All the the opinions and other analysis presented by me (Ro/binniesthighs) are purely my own oponion and are not factual. you are entitled to interpret all of this information however you like! Anything that i analyze is not definitive!
while this survey is mostly about stay smutblr, i hope that it can also maybe serve as a template for other fandoms as well with the more general questions! this is a survey for everyone!
i’d love to hear about what you think about anything presented in this analysis! feel free to send me an ask or comment! reposting is permitted within tumblr or on other platforms if proper credit is given! ❤️ (uwu hehe if you could please help me spread this i would appreciate it so much! i worked really hard on her 🥺)
1. Demographics Analysis:
Gender Identities of those Surveyed
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: this really came as no surprise to me considering how the majority of kpop fans (especially boy group fans) identify as female! Seeing as I am a Stray Kids/Seventeen blog (both of them boy groups) it makes sense to me that my readers would mostly identify as female!
Another important thing to note (from a writer standpoint at least) is the wide array of identities that we still have present within the general audience of stay smut blur (SSB)! I’ll get into this later when i discuss favorite pairings to read, however i think that this gives us one more reason to write for a diverse audience of readers who can identify with different types of self-insert fics!
Top Five:
Female (81%)
Non-binary/gender non-conforming (13%)
Changes by the day (6%)
Male (4%)
Demiboy/Demigirl (3%)
Sexual Orientation of those Surveyed
Tumblr media
Other identities mentioned:
????, unlabeled, aromatic bisexual, bicurious, demisexual, “just liking who i like”, experimenting, heteroflexible, sapiosexual, depends day by day, “i just like anyone”
~My thoughts: okkkkk i see us gays of SSB 😏 these demographics were really exciting for me to see! i think that it’s super cool that we have such representation across the board when it comes to sexual orientations present in our community! As someone who personally identifies as pan, this was super comforting to see that there are so many others like me in this little space of the internet! I think it’s safe to say at least from my lil survey that all the bi cuties out here own SSB 💗💜💙
From a literal standpoint, it also makes sense to me that heterosexuality is strongly present as well considering that often the pairs that we read are male idol x female reader so this is the perfect niche!
Top Five:
Bisexual (40.8%)
Heterosexual (26.5)
Pansexual (17.3%)
Queer (7.1%)
Asexual (4.1%)
Stay Creators!!
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: this one i was THRILLED at seeing oml hahaha and i was so interested to see that this was nearly an even split!
I think that there’s something to be said about how sometimes we can take our hobbies: (movies, videogames, books, kpop, anime etc)--all things which we really like in totally normal and healthy ways but also kinda like....get hornies about them too? if that makes sense? for example, i have a friend who really likes certain video games/characters from these games as a fan and he’s shared with me that he also doesn’t mind watching porn containing those same characters! (ahahah ya all know what i mean don’t even lie haha)
what this question proved to me as that there are stays out there who practice “being a stay/being a stay creator” who also are interested in the more...horny side of this hobby/interest 😂
what is even more interesting to me is who i wonder if i’ve  have consumed any of ya’ll’s content while you have consumed mine??? this i am DYING to know aha but it think its best for all of us to stay anonymous teehee ;)
either way, good on ya for doing what ya do!! you are so so treasured in this community too!! <3
2. Polls on Fic Content (a long section lol)
Favorite Pairing to Read
Tumblr media
*other options selected were rankings of favorite pairings so i just added each of them as an entry to the respective category mentioned.
Top Five:
Idol x female reader (69%)
Idol x gender neutral reader (19%)
Idol x reader x Idol (poly r/ship) (14%)
Idol x reader, Idol x reader (threesome, not much interaction between the two idols) (8%)
~My thoughts: once again, this category was pretty self explanatory to me considering that the majority of readers are female identifying, so it would make sense that they would prefer to read smut that aligns with their identity! This is also super present anyway of SSB as i do feel like the majority of writing pieces that I do come along are idol x female reader, and most authors too often disclaim that they are the most comfortable writing this type of pairing as well.
What’s signficant as well is the interest in reading fics with gender neutral reader self inserts as well! this is my personal philosophy when it comes to writing (specifically with requests) but i think that writing gn!reader is always the safest bet to go as to not make assumptions about readers! for writers i think that seeing this 19% is something important to take into consideration!
An outlier to me with this demographic was the “poly r-ship” poll garnering a notable 14% in comparison to the idol x idol option which got 10 less votes (4%). what is a little confusing to me about this is how poly r/ships often (but not always) contain idol x idol content, however there is discrepancy with the amount of readers outright saying that they enjoy reading it alone. I’ll get into poly fics later with the unpopular opinions section--however i wanted to plant the seed here hehe. One other caveat to this is the fact that on SSB i feel like idol x idol content is really in the minority and is much more present on a platform like AO3 so this could be another explaination!
What is kinda cute to me is the fact that readers do really like poly r-ship dynamics more than a threesome (as i defined it,“with less interaction”) so this makes me feel like we are all saps for the fluff that comes with poly r-ship fics ;)
Favorite Kind of Smut to Read
Tumblr media
male idol smut (67%)
i read both! (female and male idol smut) (25%)
depends on my mood (7%)
female idol smut (1%)
~My thoughts: Again, this is super expected to me as well considering the above statistics. Since i am a skz blog (a boy group) --as are my moots-- it really makes sense that those who filled out this survey would be into male idol smut!
what was cool for me to see as well was the number of readers who also read female idol smut as well as male idol smut! personally, i more predominately a fan of boy groups compared to the amount of girl group content that I consume (note: i do also consume gg content). because of this, i think that its really up to personal preferences and the content that you consume that can be reflective of the smut content that you consume as well and ya know, whoever gets your hornies going ;)
Favorite Genres...Ranked!
*so this was my fault lol i totally formatted this question poorly in google forms so i’ll try to summarize the most popular rankings with my words haha
*bc of the way that i miffed it (lol) i wasn’t able to get exact measurements, but rough ones!
Top Five:
Smut, fluff, angst
smut n’ fluff (with specific emphasis angst is not desired)
smut, angst, fluff,
fluff, smut, angst,
angst, fluff, smut
~My thoughts: by far, the most popular ranking that i saw was as follows: smut, fluff, angst. i saw this sososos many times haha also...ya’ll got really creative with your rankings and it made me giggle hehe. So! seeing as this is stay smutblr haha makes total sense that the three most popular rankings that we have were lead by smut! since we’re here for the hornies, i totally get this.
as for the “smut n’ fluff” or “fluffy smut” category, there was a decent amount of readers that expressed that this mixture is their fave! i’m kinda looping this with the “mixture” option that i also provided for this question since this was the most popular mixture that i was able to observe along with angst + smut. interestingly, i saw a couple mentions of “hurt/comfort” fics with this question too so this went well with this preference. as for number three on this list, we dip into that smut + angst category that I just mentioned as well. there were several individuals who said that they really really enjoy reading smut with angst!
lastly we get to the four and five on the list: four being fluff, smut and angst. i think this category can also properly represent the folx who tend to like more fluffy fics over the smutty ones, but that can also have suggestive themes too! in five, we have angst, fluff and smut which also is representative of another theme that i saw: as far as plot goes, several people mentioned that they liked fics that start with angst, get fluffier, and then end up in smut, so i think that this could be easily compared!
*there were also several readers who simply said “all of them” or opted not to rank, (lol me) so this really shows the variability in results!
Cute stuff ya’ll said (kind of out of context too LOL)
“... hehE I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE.”
“...I KNOW IT [my ranking] LOOKS TERRIBLY SPECIFIC AND IM SO SORRY and I guess the better way to describe that was one that has all 3 with a happy ending lol my b my b.”
“ ...it just depends on the mood my dude.”
“... (the smut doesn’t have to be soft i just want the relationship to be soft and i want aftercare and general affection).”
“(but almost no angst oops)”
“angst honestly makes me so sad.”
“... but long fics with angst and slow burn smut/fluff is just WOW.”
“ my favourite thing is when it's fluffy smut tbh with a little bit of angsty backstory. that is *chefs kiss*”
“(I'm a sucker for good angsty fics but I cant seem to find them???)”
“Smut, Fluff, Angst (I tend to be a bit of a purist so no mixture here).”
“(i can't read pure angst lol) “
“(I love how much plot there is in angsty fics but I personally can't read anything without a happy ending, i just can't take it)”
“ i literally couldn't rank them bc my mood is always changing lmaooo.”
“ smut, fluff, angst. i know what i’m about.”
Favorite Length of Fics
Tumblr media
Top Five:
5k-8k words (27%)
2k-4k words (25%)
1k-2k words (20%)
10k-20k words (15%)
20k words (12%)
~My thoughts: this one was super helpful for me to see!! and writers i hope that this is helpful for you too! as someone who tends to rambles (lol) it was very comforting for me to see that long-ish fics are actually preferred! what is really cool about this data too is that it is all super well balanced for the most part and nearly edqual in some parts! how i see this, i think that when it comes to preferences of length, its really reader specific so anyone could like anything! this goes into a little bit the slow burn question that i asked as well too, but it’s really cool to see that when readers do read, they kinda like something to sink their teeth into!
i wanted to look into how long it takes you to read these words, and it appears that on average, a 5-8k fic can take someone 30 mins to read whereas a 2-4k fic takes about 15mins! idk if this says something about attention spans, but as a writer it warms my heart to know that you’re willing to spend 30 minutes of your time reading something that i wrote! 🥺
another thing i wanted to bring up is the “hard and fast” smut readers--those who like to get straight to the point, get right to business and to the juice! they are also a decently large group too! as for readers who like a nice long fic or a chaptered fic, they are super close in numbers! from this, it’s safe for me to assume that maybe those who like reading longer fics are more inclined to strap in for the long haul with chaptered fics too!
Favorite AUs to Read
Tumblr media
*the top category that got cut off (thank you google forms lol) is friends to lovers! the one that says “...love” at 48% is enemies to lovers, and the one that has a blanked out title at 35% is strangers to lovers!
Top Five:
friends to lovers (65%)
enemies to lovers (48%)
high school/college au (40%)
roommates/neighbors to lovers (38%)
strangers to lovers (35%)
Other AUs mentioned by you!
office au, royal au, vampire au, fake date, idol au, slice of life, boarding school au, childhood friends, soulmate au
~My thoughts: ok ok so this was RAD to see! i often wonder myself the kinds of aus that my readers would like to see so this was really helpful! circling back on how readers tend to favor fluff n’ smut (friends to lovers) and angst n’ smut (enemies to lovers) i think that we’re seeing some more themes here teehee.
i like to think that since most of us are of the college age, the college au is super relatable therefore we really like to read it! not to mention that college and high school au’s are super duper cute as well! this is also relatable to the roommates/neighbors to lovers category which is also relatable to us who may or may not have experienced having a roommate or crush on the cutie next door ;) as a couple readers mentioned, they liked more “slice of life” au’s--which both of these categories fall into! i think we as readers like scenarios that feel the most real to us, bc they are the easiest to insert ourselves into :)
fantasy and thriller, action, more “fiction” tropes are in the minority, however i think that this can be for the exact same reason as i mentioned above where readers like more relatable scenarios.
Opinions on Slow Burn Fics
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: during polling of this category, this pie cart stayed basically the same the whole time!! that was pretty cute to see! the important take aways from this survey for me is the fact that slow burn fics are generally really loved! again, lol as someone who writes big ol’ long slow burn fics this made me feel a lot better hahaha basically, the general consensus is that slow burn fics are welcome most of the time, however some readers might need to invest a little more time into them! this is also very easily comparable to the above statistics on the length of fics preferred (longer ones being the ones more popular) so here’s a lil more supporting evidence!
3. Member Specific Analysis
Bias Survey
Tumblr media
Top Five:
Chan (19%)
Changbin (18%)
Hyunjin (16%)
Jisung (15%)
Minho (14%)
~My thoughts: ok ok ok so this is where it starts getting JUICY hehe (also i apologize once more for making you pick LOL)
the reason why i asked this question was because i wanted to see if there was a correlation with biases and if there was a probability that members who had more people biasing them (or popularity I guess) were more likely to be read more in smut fics! AND I WAS RIGHT haha isn’t this so fkn cool??? (see more in the next section!)
for comparison, i went to kprofiles to see their little survey on bias popularity and their top five.
Kprofiles Top Five:
Hyunjin (15%)
Felix (14%)
Chan (12%)
Minho (11%)
Jisung (11%)
SO oh my god my nerd brain is loosing it over this REE so, what i should note that is those who took this survey on my blog are likely generally different based off of the fact that they are here to read smut specifically, rather than the general holistic popularity survey. It is for this reason that we see Felix much higher on this list and Changbin much lower too (as we know Felix is really well known generally and globally and there are *generally* fewer Bin biased fans). What was really interesting to see what that with Hyunjin, Chan, Jisung and Minho, they still all stayed within the top five! Soooo what i’m saying is.... all of you Hyunjin, Chan, Jisung and Minho fans really must like your smut 😏 and I think that it’s safe to assume that the majority of hard stans come from these four members too ooP (and of course our Binnie too! ;) i see all of ya’ll 👀)
Members That Get Our Hornies Going
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: AHH DOESN’T THIS LOOK SO SATISFYING? I’M SO PROUD OF HER!!!
First off, i would like to acknowledge the all mighty power of Bang Christopher Chan for pooling this most hornies god DAMN while i kind of expected this, it is also evidenced in the fics that i write! recently i’ve been tracking the number of notes that my Chan hard thoughts get in comparison to other members and the differences are usually ASTRONOMICAL. He is most def the most popular member for smut for several different reasons, lowkey bc i think that it’s kind of part of his brand?? hahaha if ya know what i mean?
As for preference from Minho on, we can see a super obvious trend that as age order decreases, we get less and less interest for reading for the member. I’m fairly inclined to believe that this has to do with the fact that most often fans (especially fans older than skz) have a harder time seeing the younger members in a sexual way, so the lack of interest totally makes sense here! As referenced above too, we found that the oldest five members (Chan --> Jisung) are the favorites for smut reading which we can see here as well when the numbers really drop after Felix (Felix coming in at 6th place on my “popularity” survey).
Bc of these statistics, i do really feel like as a reader, i tend to see much, much more fics involving our top five! As for Seungmin and Jeongin, I’ve also seen people state that they do not read or write content for these two members bc they do not feel as comfortable, so this can also explain the lack of content. Also as we have heard many times, Jeongin is a bit of a hot topic lol within the SSB community, so this makes sense that his readership would be low as well.
4. Deep Dive into the Juicy Questions (aka confessions)
Is the fact that you read smut a seggsy secret?
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: JUICE TIME JUICE TIME
Before I say anything, i wanted to tell you all how all of the juicy questions were totally optional, but i got 100% participation for every single one of them which if find HILARIOUS i guess you all are just as curious as i am?? ;)
So! for this question, we have an overwhelming amount of readers who said that only their closest friends know which is so cute to me! i love how we can trust our friends with this hehe. i also fall into this category bc like, it’s lowkey kinda fun to talk about? maybe also the fact that i run a smut acct makes me care a little less about it all hahah
secondly, we have the rather large group of people who said that they wouldn’t dare to tell anyone which is also sooo cute haha idk how to explain it but this was the category that i started out in too until i found the right people! But i totally get ya, reading smut--especially-- kpop smut-- can be embarrassing or cringey to share (not to mention that it is somewhat morally grey LOL) so this is really understandable!
also my fkn hats off to all of you who said that you didn’t care about who knows that you read smut. here, you dropped this: 👑 you’re much braver than i could ever be.
When you read smut, do you really feel the hornies?
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: ok, so this one to me was also very interesting for me to see as well! (also if you get uncomfy reading about personal masturbation habits you can skip this one lol)
the reason why i asked this question was because i wanted to see if people “get off” by reading smut (whether reading it turns you on, or if you choose to use it for “material” to get off on however this might look, might be more of a mental simulation without any real like, physical getting off) candidly, I use smut to get myself off every once and a while, so i wanted to see who else might be in the same group! since becoming a writer however, i read much less and reading it doesn’t hit the same when i was just a reader bc i have a different perspective of being the one writing the smut so i look at it more analytically--i digress.
it was exciting (teehee get the pun?) for me to see that others also “get off” on smut too--and that they are the majority! teehee it is an honor for me to provide you with the hornies LOL. at the same time, we still have a large group in the “don’t take to seriously” category which was interesting to me too! i can’t speak for these readers, but i interpreted these kind of readers to be the kind who read smut to imagine the scenes and are like “hm, that’s hot, i like thinking about this.” but it doesn’t extend much outside of these thoughts.
What is the most popular position pairing we like to read?
Tumblr media
*smaller slices of the pie represent multiple favorites which i also seperated back into the categories corresponding to get the best count into what was the most preferred.
Actual Breakdown:
dom!idol // sub!reader (51 votes)
switch!idol // switch!reader (32 votes)
subidol! // dom!reader (11 votes)
all of the above (5 votes)
depends on my mood (2 votes)
~My thoughts: i feel as if there is a bit of a conflict between which position really is “the best” and while we really can’t know the answer to this question since everyone has different preferences, we can at least find out which one is the most popular to be consumed!
again, going off of the content that I also see as a reader, i see TONS of dom!idol fics, like, left and right. also, if i may come for all of our necks, 👀 but...there’s really something to be said about the fact that the majority of readers are female and historically and socially, women are typically socialized to be submissive, so i can see why this would be why we would favor this among fics--this is even further evidenced by the fact that male idol smut is also preferred, thus further perpetuating the fact that women have been socialized to be submissive to men specifically. i’m not saying that this is the end all be all reason that this trend is present, but i merely offer it as a possible explaination. this is a much larger sociological conversation, but i think that this trend also showed itself in the types of smut that readers seek out as well--according to demographics.
sub!idol fics are few and far in-between, and i think that this can also be for the exact same reason as i talked about above!
When you read smut, do you pick faves to read for?
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: what’s cool about this question is the fact that the “half and half” nature of it also resembles what we saw in the section for favorite members to read! As we see in that chart, 41 out of 100 people said that they read everyone, similar to this question where 48 out of 100 people said that they read for everyone. What this proves to me once more is that when it comes for reading fics, there's a 50/50 chance that the reader will look at, and read it based off of who it is about alone. This is a really powerful statistic, meaning that the members who that a writer might write for really dictates their readership! At the same time, it’s super comforting to know that regardless of what you as a writer might write, there’s always someone out there who is willing to read it! (as evidenced by the 52% of people who read for anyone! this is still a large number)
Readers: Do you only use Tumblr for smut?
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: when i first started out reading smut, i was in the “i just look up skz smut” group LOL so i wanted to see again if there was anyone like me--which there is! This was more of my interest in seeing if some people view tumblr as “their smut dealer” AHA so that my initial motivation. I was surprised to see that this is not the case! out of 100 readers, 39 of them have their own non-smut blogs and the second largest group of 26 people use tumblr for smut exclusively.
idk why, but when thinking of this question, it really got me thinking back to the question where i asked if reading smut is a seggsy secret, and there was the group of people who said that it is for them--i’m assuming that these people might be part of the group have non-smut blogs and read on the side teehee.
at the same time, there is a combined 40 people who said that they use tumblr for smut purposes only which makes sense to me, as those who filled out my survey are readers of my smut blog if you catch my drift haha
Writers: Do you read smut, or just write it?
Tumblr media
*56 responses correlate with those polled who identified as writers/both as mentioned above
~My thoughts: this survey is really really cute for me to see bc it means that there is a whole support network or writers out there reading, supporting and here to hype other writers work!! if anything, as a writer because it takes so much time to write, it can become hard to find time to read, hence the “when i have time option lollll (*cough cough* me LOL) thank you all for your honesty with this question!
5. General Thoughts and Conclusion
Survey on Exposure
Tumblr media
~My thoughts: i kinda wanna close off this survey by getting on my soapbox for a sec lol. At least for me, the most common ways that readers found my blog were: looking up a tag, and from a repost. i think that this really goes to show the power of exposure and certain tactics that you can use to increate readership of your account! new readers, if you’re reading this and you’re just starting out, tagging your stuff is so so important!
also, as i have said and so so, many other content creators have said countless times before, reposting is so crucial and it takes little to no effort to repost a creators work so that it might reach others! as a writers, we spend hours, and i mean hours creating content, editing, drafting, creating headers all out own time to publish something that we are proud of and for you to enjoy! it means the world to authors when you reblog their work and even more when you give feedback too because this is our passion! we write for free in the middle of our busy lives so the validation makes it all worth it!!
Conclusion
~phew! so that’s it! once again, i wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart from participating in this lil study! i really hope that it is helpful to writers and readers alike! i wanna give ya all the biiiiiigest Ro huggies!! 💕💕
as i mentioned above, the answers for the unpopular opinions will be made into their own post bc there is a ton of them and i didn’t want to clutter up this doc lol
don’t ya ever forget that you are important, loved, and special! happy hornies my cuties ;)

⌠ kristine froseth. 23, bisexual, nonbinary, they/she ⌡ wait a minute, is gemma cameron still in town? i thought i saw a flash of (unmatched style, freckled constellations, and running before the sun’s up)! last i heard they were working as a(n) radio host nearby. when it’s the (taurus)’s birthday on 04/20 i forget that they’re stubborn and celebrate that they’re dedicated. i hear long story short by taylor swift every time i think of them. ⌿ @liminalintro
»  gemma cameron  «
»  the golden child  «
for most of her life, gemma cameron was the town’s sweetheart, her family a pinnacle example of what a happy, successful centralia family could be! give me a break.
they run in the mornings, their favorite meal is breakfast, fuzzy socks are a part of their identity, they prefer deep questions to small talk, and their aesthetic changes with her mood.
they are organized without trying, good at team work, and they try not to judge people ( though they can’t always help it ).
gemma’s apartment is covered in house plants and vanilla scented candles. they like soft skin, the color yellow, and high waisted everything. their memory is tinted with gold. they love road trips with best friends and cherry cola in the dappled shade.
if you’re close enough, they probably kept the shell you gave them after finding it on the beach five summer’s ago.
»  backstory  «
growing up with everything never made gemma feel like anyone else deserved nothing. sharing was caring and lifting others up was their love language, never allowing anyone around them to feel left out.
they were lucky in the sense that they had two parents, still together, that loved them, but they still had to watch them not love each other. they would stay up listening to them fight, getting involved because their passionate, and eventually feel the neglect that came along with getting involved in what should not have included them.
in high school gemma started to close off, pretending to be listening and no longer participating in their friend group. the same friend group would ignore the change in gemma’s sunshine, hyping up the importance of shallow routines like prom, where they would inevitably wear a crown that they had been rallying for since day one of their freshman year. gemma began falling into the background of their life, which meant that other people fell into the background of their life too. the people gemma didn’t have the energy to lift up and take with them on their path to high school victory, aka popularity, would ultimately get left behind.
eventually gemma would be out on their own, romanticizing a ‘ quaint ’ apartment that could only be considered ‘ staying humble ’ if your parents have money. the same way working in radio can only be considered ‘ staying humble ’ when you have gemma cameron’s face.
there has always been a certain intimacy that gemma was able to keep within their relationships with women that felt more vulnerable than any of their experiences with men, though they have never admitted it out loud. they puts the b in lgbtqia+ but their own parents’ christian values make them wonder, can centralia accept gemma as bisexual AND centralia’s golden girl ( golden them? ), or will they have to choose between being themselves and who others expect them to be?
»  connections  «
a best friend ofc. ride or die
a long time friend. been friends since they were young, more convenient to just stay friends at this point then not
friends that got left behind as they grew to popularity in high school
the ex high school boyfriend / sweetheart
~*~gal pals*~* gemma was intimate with either emotionally or physically over the years a) they led you on, maybe you wanted more and gemma wasn’t ready to commit b) led gemma on, her first experience of rejection
ppl who are bitter bc their or their families small business was affected by the creation of the mall
someone who calls the radio station and has a banter with her but they’ve never met or chatted in real life
someone that has a crush on her radio personality but doesn’t know gemma personally
someone who applied for the same radio time slot as her and got rejected, maybe are bitter toward her
a best friend that pranks the radio when they’re working
an enemy that calls the radio show and says things like they should be cancelled just like the rest of her family
people they’re a regular of like at a coffee shop or diner and they have a regular banter going
people who can/will help her explore her identity
someone they’re attracted to but shouldn’t be / someone who’s attracted to her but shouldn’t be - due to age, families, work, other people, anything...

hey! so, i personally am confused with your whole "pan and bi being the same thing" (i say that genuinely btw). i learned to differentiate them bc of this video i saw a few years back: https://youtu.be/x5P_xF1JuUk. at first the video seemed kind of Ehh to me with the way they described pansexuality bc it seemed like it was going to follow that whole "i'm attracted to the personality not the gender" thing which is :// but when i watched the whole video, it...actually made a lot of sense to me? so i'm wondering what you think about the video
hii! so, quite frankly, i hear what they’re saying but they literally just reinforced internalized biphobia. they said they were more comfortable identifying as pansexual because the term bisexual makes people think of a gender binary. that’s biphobic. they also said that pansexuality means you’re attracted to people regardless of gender, but i have never encountered a bisexual person who considers gender. and if i really want to go there: what does it mean to consider gender if you’re attracted to all genders? “i like this person because they identify as male/female/non-binary, on top of other factors” sounds strange. how does gender make you more or less attracted to someone if you’re attracted to all genders? i believe some bisexual people can have a preference for a certain gender! but that is not the universal case for bisexual people. quite frankly omnisexuality seems different than pansexuality and bisexuality because there is a consideration of gender, if that makes sense. additionally, polysexual people are not attracted to all genders, which i suppose makes sense to me, but i still don’t entirely get it. if polysexual people are attracted to non-men, for example, doesn’t that…make them lesbian? because non-binary lesbians exist and they’re not men nor are they women. i’ve also seen people define lesbians as “non-men attracted to non-men” so… wouldn’t that mean that polysexual could be the exact same thing? like i feel like if you need to specify your attraction beyond being polysexual to explain who you’re not attracted to/who you are attracted to, there are already labels in place that serve that same purpose.
also not wanting to explain yourself to biphobic individuals and choosing a “new” label that “clarifies” is literally just being complacent in biphobia. “i don’t want people to assume the wrong thing about bisexuality, so instead of taking the time to correct them and help destigmatize bisexuality, i’m gonna align myself with a term that literally means the same thing.”
like i truly have no ill will with this discussion it just genuinely bothers me when people erase or invalidate bisexuality for the sake of “clarifying things.” the lgbtq+ community isn’t going to progress the way we want it to if people keep branching off and creating terms that are reductive to pre-existing terms.

while I do agree with what you’re saying about character’s sexualities needing to be explored rather than being seen as the easy option, having “just a few” LGBTQ+ characters means every LGBTQ+ player is SEVERELY restricted in terms of who they can choose to be with, ESPECIALLY since those few LGBTQ+ characters run the risk of falling into harmful stereotypes to make it “obvious” that they are those characters. it leaves a LOT of room for separation rather than inclusion, for distance between players and characters bc the player may not think the other characters are worth getting to know when those characters arent the “few” LGBTQ+ ones. as much as it is important to have the detailed representation, as a member of the LGBTQ+ myself, I am equally happy with stories going in depth on character’s sexualities as I am with them just being completely normalised. video games are pleasant, peaceful escapes for people, and as much as it would be “realistic” for them to experience some kind of discrimination or self hatred, I personally prefer the idea that in the world of the game, everyone is just fine with it, as they should be. that leaves room for discussion on why the real world ISNT like that already, how we can HELP it become that way by assisting in the normalisation of it, etc. this is in no way a direct argument against you, it’s solely my standpoint on the whole LGBTQ+ marriage options. I just think it should be a fair game to everyone, and no player should feel their options are limited based on their own sexuality and having just a few characters in the game who match that, instead of it being equal for everyone, if that makes sense
That's a very good point, thank you for sending this to add to the conversation! I'll try my best to respond to all the good points you make.
(my reply is very long and under the cut and includes a lot of my Opinions of queer rep in video games so here we go)
I know you're probably talking about Fire Emblem when you're talking about the severely limited LGBT+ options. And it does suck, I'm pretty lucky that I fell hard for one of the few bisexual offerings in FE3H (looks fondly at Mercedes). But on the other hand...my primary experience with LGBT+ rep are Bioware games, where everyone has their own distinct identity. In Dragon Age Inquisition, out of the romance options there's 1 straight woman, 3 straight males (albeit two are limited to elves/humans), 1 pansexual male, 1 bisexual female, 1 gay male, and 1 lesbian. And most of the writing does not focus on their identities. In a majority of the romances, the most you get is a "sorry, not interested" from a character if you're not what they're into. The only route with clear focus on sexuality is for the gay man, which is fantastically written (and is written by a gay man about his personal experiences so take that as you will). All of the other LGBT+ characters’ stories don’t focus on their sexuality at all and don’t face discrimination for it.
The game isn't perfect (the writing for the lesbian is bad in the base game, just straight up bad), but it's what I think of when I say "everyone has an identity." No matter who you play, not all options are open to you. Doesn't matter if you're straight or LGBT+, your options are limited. And honestly, despite the more limited options...the impact that games like Fire Emblem and Dragon Age gave me are still things I remember fondly as a bi/ace woman. I loved Mercedes' romance in FE3H because she was specifically bisexual like me. I was absolutely giddy when Josephine's romance (the bi option in DAI) did not include a sex scene, which meant she could be asexual like me. And to me, I don't get as much excitement playing SoS or SDV. The girls like me because I'm the player. That's it. It’s not because they’re bisexual with their own identity, it’s because I’m the player. And it just reminds me of that quote from The Incredibles like "if everyone is super, nobody will be." Everyone is ""bisexual"" and...
I think when you talk about people not being interested in learning about other, non-LGBT+ characters, that's more a flaw in farming sims in general? Because you can't really...befriend a romance option. You can't learn their full story unless you're romancing them. Which, again, isn't a thing in Fire Emblem or Dragon Age. You can A support anyone in FE and it only becomes romantic if you choose to S support them. In Dragon Age, you learn a character's full story and learn about them regardless of romance. I don't think people will be less interested in knowing other characters...it's just if you don't want to romance them...you can't really know them? So why befriend a character if you can’t just be friends?
But I do really want to touch on the point you make on how LGBT+ romance doesn't need to be realistic and can be idealized. I 100% agree. Making it not a big deal and not put under a microscope helps it become normal. It's actually the kind of rep I prefer. I don’t like when huge deals are made about LGBT+ characters because it just accentuates that they’re different and ‘the other,’ rather than just another person that happens to not be heterosexual.
But literally the only romance-based video game I've played where a realistic struggle of an LGBT+ person is focused on is Dragon Age Inquisition. With the gay route I mentioned and touched on with a non-romancable trans man. Sexuality is not really spoken about in FE3H. Some characters are just...bisexual. Nothing more to it. Mercedes certainly doesn't say anything about it. She can just be romanced by both men and women. It is barely spoken about in Dragon Age games aside from character preference and Dorian's romance. In Dragon Age 2, one bisexual romance option mentions his first experience with a man. Another option is hesitant to date a female because of cultural reasons. That's it.
I do get your point. We don't need to include the realities of the world in our video games. But also...we're allowed to still acknowledge sexuality in video games. I joke about my bi/ace-ness all the time. Even in a perfect world of a farming sim...I'm pretty sure a character can make wisecracks about liking both men and women...or only men/women. Being bisexual always means some kind of discovery that you like more than one gender. Has this love interest dated someone of the same or opposite gender before? Will they tell me off-hand that I'm the first girl they dated? Will they express interest in a character of the opposite gender but can be romanced by a same-sex player? Representation doesn't need to be a sanitized thing completely removed from reality. Even in a completely perfect world where there is no such thing as discrimination against the LGBT+ community, we’re still allowed to speak about our sexualities. It’s a part of who we are.
When I say I want specific representation, I don't want a realistic depiction of the current-day struggles our community faces. I just want a character to say something that makes me know that they're like me. That they're specifically bisexual or specifically pansexual or so on. That they have their own preferences and are their own character and aren't blindly into me because I'm the player.
I do get why you want representation to be equal across the board. It is the easy option and a simple thing to do. But I want quality over quantity. I don’t want a character to marry me because I’m the player. I want a character to marry me because they’re bisexual or pansexual or a lesbian or asexual with romantic preferences or so on and so forth. And the reason why I’m so passionate about this and want farming sims to go towards this direction is because I’ve seen it done in other genres! It can work!
Inclusion of LGBT+ romance options does not have to be at the sacrifice of the identities of bisexual and pansexual individuals. And now I get off my soap box and drink some water because I just got my 2nd COVID vaccination.

Tw anxiety and suicide?
I just want to get this out of my system and I don’t have anyone to talk about this
So, I’m in my last semester of my last high school year (I’m from Chile and the school years in here ends the second week of December) and it’s been a rough couple of months, here’s why:
I have like 4 BIG test every week and I have to maintain my grades bc I have to try and get a college scholarship (college in here is EXPENSIVE)
I have to prepare for the PSU (it’s a test that the government does to see how much did you learn in school, it’s the only way to get into college IF you get a good score) and idk, I feel like I’m going to get a really really bad score and disappoint my family
One of my best friends tried to ☠️ herself last week and ended up in the hospital, idk if she’s ok bc her mom isn’t answering her phone and my friend isn’t allowed to have a phone in the hospital
Yesterday my childhood best friend had an anxiety attack (bc of a test) and her mom doesn’t want her to go to a therapist🧍‍♀️
I think I’m bisexual? idk what to do bc my family is a bit homophobic (especially my grandparents)
Please excuse my English, I’m still learning and I really need and advice bc I fell like I only want to shut everything down and sleep for like a whole month and I really need someone to hug me *cries*
If you read this, I love you and please help me, I’m a little desperate of and advice now IDK WHAT TO DO OR HOW THE FUCK DO I GET OVER ALL OF THIS
First off, I love you too and I am sending you the biggest supportive hug I possibly can right now.
My son is a senior and I know the pressures of that final year are brutal. The testing is something that I know is a pain in the ass. Just breath and believe in yourself. Is there a Pre-PSU that you can take to give you an estimate where you fall on scoring and give you an idea of what you need to perhaps look over? (We have SATs here in the US and we have a pre-SAT that is a good indicator on where you will score)
I know that it is so scary to worry about your friend and not get any information. As hard as it is, take comfort in the fact that she is still here and hopefully getting help for what caused the attempt.
If it was your friend's first anxiety attack, the mother may not see the need for a therapist if it is an isolated incident? If that makes sense? I know a lot of people can have a moment and then move on afterwards like everything is fine. However, if it's something that is consistent, yeah, definitely need to go see someone.
With your bisexuality, you said you think which in my mind says you are still questioning, exploring your feelings on the situation. It's very sad that people can not just be whoever they are and have others (especially family) accept them. You also owe no one any information on your sexual preferences/how you view yourself unless you want to tell them or are in a relationship with them. Being closeted sucks and I hate that anyone has to go through that. It might not mean much, but I completely accept you for wherever you might align on the sexual scale.
As far as advice, I don't have a one size fits all fix for everything you are going through. I know that you probably need to break. I would take this weekend off. Don't study, don't think about school. Go outside, get some fresh air and sunshine, be social if possible. Sleep in late and don't set an alarm just do something that will recharge your energy and make you feel relaxed.
It will get better. Just remember that.
