The fact that Young Woo led the charge and insisted upon finding the chef/owner just for Attorney Jung. The fact that she waited behind for him so he wasn’t walking alone and tried to offer words of support, to try tell him that his life’s efforts weren’t a waste. The fact that she’s the reason that Attorney Jung can smile so brightly near the end of the episode.

#I do not mean this in a good or bad way. just an observation #i cannot go anywhere in this place without acquiring satellites who make small talk and ask me my pronouns #I am inclined to believe they do genuinely just have intentions of being friends #bc I mention my bf casually every so often when relevant so as to gently discourage any ideas just in case #and they still stick around. so I think they just want a friend in class #I must just come off as very non-threatening which I don’t mind at all #I am not the type to start conversations with strangers unprompted but I don’t mind other people doing the same to me #the social feel of uni is very different to how highschool was. it feels more laidback but also more isolated I guess #in high school friendships seemed to just kind of happen #in uni it feels like something you have to consciously initiate and keep up each week #I’m really glad I signed up for a club & also went to the workshop days for neurodivergent students #I’ve met the most good people from those things

OH and let me just take a moment to talk about the Dads hair in SAE. Like--gorgeous??? Love the variety in styles??? I know not all the dads are your original designs but like still, they all look so fantastic in your style. Benji's is so curly and fluffy, Ammon resembling Link's style is wonderful, Leon looks so professional, Linebeck looks so messy and oily like he doesn't have time to wash because he wouldn't and actual clean water and not salt water or monster water would be scarce, Rusl's just perfect because he's Rusl (btw the way you draw him without his headband is *chef's kiss* mwuah), and sweet, sweet Talon looks so normal next to all of them haha

leon was always a really good character and shockingly respectful and tactful in terms of a gay fire emblem character but i really love what they’ve done with him in sacred echoes… he’s even more explicitly gay and talks about other past lovers and stuff like that. he still feels like the same character, but the new dialogue they gave him really hits for me.

Listen, I love the LGBTQ+ community as much as any other queer person. But we have got to stop ostracizing people in our community to fit in with cishetallo people.

Some of y’all really do go ‘these are the acceptable boxes for queer people and their definitions, anyone outside of these is actually not queer and making us look bad’ and act like that’s ok. Now that being queer is generally acceptable in online/progressive areas (as long as you are one of the ‘well known’ orientations), a big part of the community has started regulating what’s ‘acceptable’ of a queer person and how we should fit into society.

I’ll see people hating on trans people who don’t fit into the ‘normal’ expectation of ‘Trans girl, Trans boy, or Non-binary’ or use Neo pronouns because that’s how they feel the most comfortable. I’ll see people hating on queer people who don’t like labels ( or try to assign people one even if they don’t want it). Or people who use a label in a way they don’t like (bi people who mostly date the opposite sex, lesbians who use pronouns other than just she/her, gender non-conforming people who don’t identify as trans, obscure micro-labels, etc.)

And it’s so frustrating because we as LGBTQ+ are supposed to be better!!! We are supposed to empathize with the feeling of not fitting in with regular society and help others like us! But the community has become part of the oppressive ‘societal standard’ for some people.

Some people just can’t be put into a perfect little label box and a lot of y’all aren’t cool about that. And I can’t believe I have to tell my fellow queers this, but there is nothing wrong with denying societal standards in order to live in the way that is genuine to you and makes you happy. End of story. If you disagree with that, look inward at your internal biases and try and fix that. Get rid of the cop in your brain telling you that you have to police others self-expression.
