I wish we got more moments of the Walkers being Family like. The opening of “Brave New World” where Hesh says he let Logan sleep a bit longer because he figured he could use the rest set the bar too high for the rest of the campaign. You don’t really get anything like that line again - there’s the “Sin City” and “The Ghost Killer” cutscenes as well but those are both high tension, ‘holy shit don’t hurt my brother/I am dying son but I’m proud of you’ lines. And honestly Hesh’s “All or Nothing” Rorke File where he talks about his misplaced guilt after losing Elias…it’s almost a bit weird that he doesn’t reference how Logan is handling it at all (especially considering he was the one manhandled into shooting their father).

I guess the first unlockable Rorke File where Elias talks about taking the boys to the beach counts, and Hesh’s “Logan’s got my back, and I got his. He’s my brother.” but it just feels a bit stilted compared to the natural tenderness of the “Brave New World” opening.

yknow it’s probably too much of me to expect batfam fans to read comics (/s) but it really really pisses me off when people just erase jean paul and azrael from her life…completely. and not because they’re my girl. because they are one of cass’ MOST IMPORTANT early relationships. they are THE FIRST to completely connect with and understand her. erasing them as a character in her life is getting rid of the first person to really see her. babs knew her first, but she didn’t understand her until batgirl 2000. bruce understood her, but didn’t know or connect with her until way later in bat comics.

I gotta say, really glad that the main criticisms for my "artists have more options" post has been that it is very USA centric and doesn't work for people in low populated areas without an art community. This has led to people giving more perspectives and options, which is always appreciated, and also because it's a completely correct criticism. Like yeah it is in fact made from the perspective of a USAmerican who lives in a highly populated state with a thriving art community especially in rural areas, you got me there, can't argue with that, gimme some fresh perspectives I love to hear that. technically not in love at this point, i picture this happening closer to the beginning of their alliance. nowhere near trusting each other yet but at least secure enough in each other's dedication to the cause. a playful moment where abaddon refers to gortash as My Lord, putting on airs to act as one of the fancy ladies of the courts he's more accustomed to lately, and him playing right along. coincidentally, the first time they ever actually touched.

something i couldn't include here with how messy this is: i picture abaddon as having some aasimar-like traits, being the child/aspect of a god, and one of their personal quirks is having their skin briefly turn pitch black at the touch of others before slowly fading. so gortash noticing how his lips leave a mark on the back of their hand as he's pulling away and filing that little detail away for later.

(there shouldn't have been a mark, because formal hand kisses typically don't actually involve lip-to-hand contact, but he was being cheeky)
