I dont think the voice is going to help Nialls music career. Heaven is not in the US spotify or global top 50. I dont think shows like the voice really help the artist, unless people already like them. They can help out with raising a celebrity profile. Like i feel as though this is Niall becoming more of a media personality than helping his music. I mean, have any voice coaches gained a better music career from the show? Didnt help camilla cabello. kelly clarkson is renound for having a great voice but in saying that she seems to be a media figure over setting the charts alight these days. Its like zot3 always whinging harry gets better promo when he does like one interview and one magazine cover lol if you have the spark people will notice, if you dont, all the promo in the world cant help you. Mayhe an unpopular opinion but sometimes being on a show like the voice could be worse for a music career, like the death of a career

I remember @wheretogofrmhere ranting about Niall having no 'face/name recognition' in the US, and it's true that when Slow Hands was in the charts people liked it but thought it was by a new country singer! Maybe The Voice will help with that. He hasn't sung Heaven yet on the show so we can't assess the impact of that.

okay LISTEN so i was watching some interviews with the cast of outer banks last night and they said that like 90% of the dialogue was improvised, the camera work was done with only two handhelds for that ~documentary feel, AND they didnt use markers at all on set. so like wherever they were standing, sitting etc, thats where the camera shot them. they just kinda....did their own thing and then added the few key pieces of scripted dialogue in between them hanging out during scenes lmao

they really WERE out there just completely winging things huh 😭 at least that means we know they all can act ! DSNFKKNd

It’s funny how these tinhats don’t really understand how record labels work. They don’t throw away millions of dollars on an artist that doesn’t make money. Even budgets for production and marketing are carefully computed based off the artists’ capacity to recoup. Unless Louis is as big as Taylor Swift in sales, I doubt any label would throw a lot of money on preserving whatever image he has. These people are stupid.

I mean, these are the same dummies who think that Fine Line had a marketing budget of $90m. They also believe that Louis is footing all the closeting costs himself, even though he's not even making £1m a year.
