Alone Amongst the Gum Trees Part 3 - It Was Murdoch All Along
NOTE - this article has been migrated to Medium. As of 2021, A Taswegian Abroad will be closed down, and all of my writing will be published on my Medium profile.
“For some time, Australia’s democracy has been slowly sliding into disrepair. The nation’s major policy challenges go unaddressed, our economic future is uncertain and political corruption is becoming normalised. We can’t understand the current predicament of our democracy without recognising the central role of Murdoch’s national media monopoly.
There is no longer a level playing field in Australian politics. We won’t see another progressive government in Canberra until we deal with this cancer in our democracy.”
- Kevin Rudd - THE CASE FOR COURAGE
Foreword
I started this as a brain dump on July 25th, 2016 just before I flew back to Australia for 4 weeks. I decided to wait to finish it as an “Alone Amongst the Gum Trees” piece after the 2016 US election as it would have directly impacted the outcome.
That was the plan, anyway. I forgot entirely that I had written this draft for almost 5 years. The next thing you know: it’s early 2021, I’m married, have a dog, a car, and my first child is due in August.
My last political opinion piece was from April 11, 2016: a piece on how Bernie Sanders was being treated in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.
So what happened from mid-2016 to early 2021? I didn’t jump back down the political commentary rabbit hole. No more rants on Tumblr blogs. No angry posts on Facebook. The odd spicy tweet about the current election happening between my old home (Australia), my new home (Canada) and the messed up cousin next door (United States). I instead chose to divert my love of writing to sports (see https://thefiftyfooty.com/), technology, and music.
From a political standpoint I chose to mostly stop talking, and to listen. Now don’t become misconstrued: I did not ignore it. I was very active over the Provincial and Federal Canadian elections of 2015 and 2019, I followed the unprecedented US political climate very closely given our proximity to the United States (and learned a lot in the process), and I voted in the most recent 2019 Australian election (my third from Toronto since leaving in 2012).
If I take a step back - I still need to be self-critical: I was defeated and I surrendered to the tidal-wave of the far-right. I was watching the US tear itself in two over race, alternative facts, and radical ideology. I was watching the UK go down a similar path with Brexit and Boris Johnson. I was watching my beloved homeland of Australia continue to confusingly elect damaging conservative governments despite the polls, trends, movements and more indicating it was time for a change.
As I matured into my late 20′s and now early 30′s (*gulp*) I was asking myself: was this how it was going to be? Did the western world just decide “we’re done with progressive views, let stick it in reverse for a bit and see how we go”? If that was true, then why did Canada buck this trend with Trudeau in 2015 & 2019? Why was New Zealand thriving under Arden after 2017 and 2020?
I went to a dark place on this.
But then something amazing happened. Enter former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd talking about wanting a royal commission into Rupert Murdoch and his News Corp empire who control 70% of print media in Australia.
Did he say 70% of all print media in Australia?
I STRONGLY recommend taking 15 minutes to watch this video. It will do a much better job of painting the scene than I ever could. If not, you can still read on through.
youtube
After doing some looking into this: all I can say is that I didn’t have to dig very far to have my fire reignited. All I can think about now is this #MurdochRoyalCommission
My world view has changed, and what I am about to write next will explain a few things that I hope will change yours too.
This is not a left vs right piece. This is not a blame, shame, or complain piece either. I won’t curse or abuse, because this is a self reflection, a cry of encouragement, and a call to action to all who live in and want to protect the political integrity of democracy around the world.
I am here to explain my thought patterns with the goal of having at least one more person under the thumb of Murdoch’s “beast” realise just what’s going on, and to encourage that person to make more informed decisions knowing the facts.
The Path to En-frightened-ment
February 2014 was the last time I updated the long-form political arm of my blog. Back then as a young man exposed to his first bout of political and social disappointment after the 2013 Australian election - I felt the need to get it all out and I did in a little more linguistically brash Part 2 of “Alone Amongst the Gum Trees”.
I was in an interesting position then. I was a 23 year old finding his place in the world - personally, politically, spiritually, environmentally. I was mostly deciding whether or not I was done with Toronto and it if was time to stay home permanently after spending 3 months back in Australia.
I chose no. I left. I came back to Toronto and the rest is history.
Then one day a couple of years later I got us flights back to Australia for a visit. After nearly 3 years avoiding it (mostly because of my post-election distaste for Australian ignorance), it was time to bite the bullet and go home for a bit.
In 2014 I mentioned:
...let’s talk about Australia, how things changed, how it looked from outside the huge wall that the government apparently has built around the country now, and how it looks from a bloke who literally can not wait to leave again.
I had been anxious about that trip for a while. Not because I hadn’t seen everyone for so long or because it was my wife’s (then girlfriend who became my fiance on that trip) first time visiting, it was because Australia had a chance to move away from the “ignorance, inequality, narrow-minded idiocy, and over-conservatism” I mentioned in 2014.
But we didn’t. Turnbull won the 2016 election. I was so angry at the Australian people. I was so scared of that ignorant, greedy, racist, xenophobic, homophobic, narrow minded, privileged, climate denying creature that seems to be slowly devouring the planet.
From that point in time, all I could think about was some sort of big right-wing populist shift happening across the globe. Outside of the obvious ones: Trump in the USA, Johnson in the UK and Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison in Australia, there were a few more extreme cases: Putin in Russia, Marine Le Pen in France, Viktor Orban in Hungary. Then there’s Cambodia, Brazil, Turkey, Egypt etc who saw this as a huge advantage as well. It may not be the end of a progressive vision of the world but it definitely seemed like the beginning of a big switch.
One thing I learned during my political writing hiatus while serving my self-induced “exile” to Canada is that this country was one of the few blips in this trend. Why did Canada choose to elect Justin Trudeau in 2015, a left wing liberal, after 9 years of Harper’s conservative government? Was it simply because Canadians were good and fair people? Did they just fundamentally understand that you need both conservative and progressive governments to advance society? Perhaps they do, and Canadians are most definitely good and fair people regardless of election results. I am even set to become a Canadian citizen myself (and a dual-citizen overall) in 2021.
So where is this all coming from? Why are the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom on a continued path to segregation, protectionism, populism and division while Canada and New Zealand show basically zero of these tendencies?
The News Corp cancer that is Rupert Murdoch’s media empire is the deciding factor.
Tumblr media
So What Does Kevin Rudd Have To Do With It?
Mr. Rudd has been living in the USA for the last 5 years and is firmly spearheading the charge in that Rupert Murdoch’s media behemoth “News Corp” has been unlawfully influencing Australian opinion and undermining elections in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States for close to 3 decades (more predominantly in the last 8 years).
Before you read any further I have to be transparent about my opinions of Kevin Rudd. I accredit his “Kevin 07″ campaign as the catalyst for my interest in politics, my decision to study economics at university, and my ongoing support for progressive policies in every federal and state election since 2007. His work has played a big part in shaping me into the person I am today.
Despite my positive position on Mr. Rudd, I am also disappointed he did not action this during his time as prime minister. However, I am “all in” when it comes to what he is standing for, and that is:
Eradicating monopolies in all forms (be it political, business, journalism, etc)
Improving media literacy to encourage fair and unbiased journalism
Avoiding the pitfalls of Murdoch's divisive influence on the USA happening to Australia
There’s a few key factoids to his claims of mass-media bias:
70% of print media in Australia is owned by ONE MAN: Rupert Murdoch (100% owned in Queensland)
Print media influences the national conversation on a daily basis
Rupert Murdoch owns the biggest YouTube channel in Australia (news.com.au)
The line between fact-based and opinion-based reporting continues to blur, resembling that of CNN (Democrats) and Fox (Republican) extreme partisanship in the USA
All of Murdoch’s papers have backed the Liberal/National party in all 19 out of the last 19 federal and state elections
The ABC is breaching the Australian Broadcasting Act of 1983 by not standing up to Murdoch media purely out of fear
Politicians are not standing up out of fear of character assassination
Whether or not Murdoch is backing left or right, Labor or Liberal, the question still remains:
Do you think it is healthy for a FOREIGN PRIVATE ENTITY to own a monopoly level of influence on a sovereign country’s political system for that private entity to use for their own personal gain through targeted media attacks and character assassinations?
Watch This Space...
There are utter mountains of evidence to accompany these claims, and to make sure you can digest what I am trying to say, I recommend that you sink your teeth into the following videos to validate and truly comprehend the size of the tumour we are dealing with:
Feb 20, 2020 - 1h - Friendlyjordies informal interview with Kevin Rudd
This is right before the Covid outbreak in March, which delayed Mr. Rudd’s ability to move for a formal commission into media bias
Provides excellent insight into the ABC’s lack of action, the opportunism of the Green party, and the complete absence of unbiased reporting in Australia
Feb 18, 2021 - 1h 30m - Kevin Rudd Officially Requesting Royal Commission to Australian Senate
The first 20-30 minutes provide Mr. Rudd’s summary of the situation
The remainder of the video consists of questions from both Labor and Liberal senators about Mr. Rudd’s claims
Mar 1, 2021 - 2m - Kevin Rudd speaks to Sunrise about the Murdoch monopoly
Mr. Rudd went on a national flagship morning show to discuss his concerns regarding News Corp
LISTEN to the questions being asked of him: completely disregarding his valid points and dismissing him as “sour grapes”
Channel 7 is not News Corp, so why try to discredit Mr. Rudd? Fear of being targeted by News Corp
Mar 9, 2021 - 1h - National Press Club: The Case for Courage
Mr. Rudd stands up in front of The National Press Club of Australia to promote the four big challenges facing Australia in his upcoming book “The Case for Courage”
He takes questions from journalists from both Murdoch and non-Murdoch media outlets
As I start to conclude this piece, for action to happen, an independent royal commission is required to get to the facts. Mr. Rudd already gathered over 500,000 signatures that were recently sent to Prime Minister Scott Morrison asking for the royal commission to take place, but this is not enough.
Even former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, a friend of Rupert Murdoch and political opposite to Mr. Rudd, signed the petition and said the following:
Mr Turnbull, a former Liberal prime minister, said the Murdoch media used to be a group of traditional right-leaning outlets but has now become "a vehicle of propaganda."
He told ABC television's Insiders program on Sunday that Australian democracy was suffering for allowing the "crazy, bitter partisanship" of social media to creep into the mainstream.
"We have to work out what price we're paying, as a society, for the hyper-partisanship of the media," Mr Turnbull said.
"Look at the United States and the terrible, divided state of affairs that they're in, exacerbated, as Kevin was saying, by Fox News and other right-wing media."
I recently sent a (somewhat long) letter to Mr. Rudd expressing my concern for the state of Australia’s media landscape, with it culminating in the following questions:
I am deeply moved and inspired by your bravery to take on "the beast" as you so aptly name it, and I want to boldly ask: how can I help? How can I get involved?
I am yet to hear back from Mr. Rudd himself - but I think if you’ve gotten this far, you know what I am about to say next.
I want to help, learn more, or get involved.
That’s amazing. We’re not asking for money, just action. Here’s some ways you can help is stop the rot:

WATCH the videos posted above as a start, alongside a few more recommendations:
This interview between Friendly Jordies and former Labor Leader Bill Shorten from earlier in March 2021
I learned more about Bill Shorten in the last 20 minutes of this interview than I did in his entire run as opposition leader.
This just goes to show you how utterly mistreated he was by Murdoch media
For a laugh - every episode of Kevin Rudd: PM from Rove McManus’ late night show
I want Australia to remain a safe, secure, and lucky country to raise my family in someday. I care about this very much and plan to ramp up my content around this until we are free from the Murdoch beast and its lies.
Thank you so much for reading, as always, I am happy to discuss.

My 2 cents on James Charles Drama
I feel like this post is gonna get me sooo canceled! lol but you know what, its ok...i only have like literally only 8 followers lmao.
Anyway, when i say anything online....or when i generate an opinion I feel like I’m objective 90% of the time. Obviously everyone is at least a bit bias when it comes to any subject. Well, here are my semi-objective 2 cents that no one fucking asked for ;)
First off, I’ll put my PRE-dramageddon (as coined by Hereforthetea2) opinions of the main people involved:
James Charles-I followed him on youtube, but I felt like he was super annoying and full of himself. I didn’t see him as a bad person though, just someone who I would never want to be friends with. I wanted to buy his palette but never did because I dont think i’d ever wear those shades. I didn’t LIKE him persay but I didn’t hate him either. His videos were actually entertaining at times so thats why I subscribed to him.
Tati- I had recently started watching her perhaps at the end of last year. I didn’t have that strong of opinion of her, but i felt like I could trust her. She seems like she’s honest in everything she says and I’ve seen many youtubers praise her which is why i followed her on youtube.
Gabriel Zamora- I didn’t know much of him until he did that collaboration with his 3 best friends, the videos where it featured manny, laura, and nikita....and he mentioned he was Mexican and I was like HEY, I’M mexican, so i started following him. He seemed unproblematic, and after His own scandal he seemed to be the only one who actually prospered from it. So i thought he was okay.
Jeffree Star- I feel towards him similar to how i feel about James. Like I LOVE watching his videos, he’s super funny and entertaining, BUT i dont think he’s a good friend. I feel like he’s a manipulator and also acts so entitled. I also don’t think he’s a bad person, he just has a negative attitude. And i wont really go into detail on the whole racism thing, because its not my place to talk about it. I was gonna say i’m not a person of color, but i am, i’m mexican, however the remarks were derogatory towards African-Americans so yeah, i have no say in that matter. To sum up, I love watching him and i love his makeup, but i dont trust him.
Now on to Dramageddon II!
I have so many thoughts on this, but at the moment i’m super hungry so i’m probably going to make this shorter than I expected lol
To start off, based on all the evidence that has presented itself, I believe that James Charles indeed made a deal with Sugarbear and then fabricated the story of Coachella so that Tati wouldn’t be mad. His crime there was being Money Hungry like always--choosing money over friendship.
Now Tati’s video. It was a great watch. She spilled so much tea that I could not even. I understand why she’s upset. She expected certain loyalty from someone that was so close to her and she felt used. I totally understand why she would want to cut all ties with him. Although I do feel like there might be something deeper there, but obviously we might never know.
Her allegations though about labeling him as a ‘predator’ was a bit harsh though. Unless there’s things she has not shared...based on the presented evidence, I don’t see how that makes James a monster.
I guess here I’ll tie in my issue with Gabriel. He went on a rant on Snapchat and in SOME details i agree with. I don’t agree with him saying that Tati is exaggerating but I do agree with how they are painting James as this horrible person that takes advantage of people.
I’ve seen the videos that Gage and the waiter boy posted and one, the gage guy seems like he’s literally doing it for clout. Based on his video he does not seem like a good person at all, and i totally believed that he used James for free stuff. And the other boy--- his video was more genuine, he sounded sincere but I dont see how that makes James a bad person. This boy slid into James’ DMs first and he admitted to being bi-curious. Where did James go wrong in doing stuff with him? There’s no evidence or allegations of James FORCING himself on to him. So what exactly was the bad thing he did? Like did he threaten his family? Did he blackmail him? Like what was that super bad thing he did? I’m not excusing James, I just dont want to condemn him if there’s not evidence that he did something illegal or fucked up. But i guess we all have our opinions on that matter. Oh! and then the face time thing, aside from it being illegal, the boy in the video was getting upset over facetime about James ‘talking to another guy (gage)’ and james responded with ‘yeah why do you care’....SO TRUE....if this boy was saying he was actually straight and only wanted a friendship with James, WHY bring that up? Does James have to let his friends know what other friends he has? If it was nothing intimate then what was that about? Thats the thing that makes no sense on this boy’s part. But anyway.........
Oh and then Jeffree inserts himself like always lol He loves that drama! I feel like his tweet was just to spark up speculation. We all know thats how the internet works. You throw out some vague tweets and suddenly everyone is theorizing left and right. If anything what i think happened is perhaps James was hitting on Nathan’s brother. But again, if it was something deeper then LETS HEAR IT!!
Okay okay, i know this rant is pointing towards me being pro James Charles, but in reality....its none of my business....its just super entertaining when I’m not studying lol
To be honest, I’m with you all there sitting with popcorn watching James’ sub count drop on social blade lol Why? Because, I think he did deserve a slice of humble pie. He literally acts like he’s entitled and like he’s this big celebrity. I hope that this experience shows him that he’s not untouchable and that his subscribers are responsible for his wealth. Which brings me to another point, you guys realize that he’s still getting PAID so much money right? Even with the unsubs, people are watching his videos like crazy and making him that coin.
Even though I’m loving the tea and loving watching him being dethroned, I’m also concerned for his mental health. I know I’m being a hypocrite talking shit, but I doubt he’ll ever see this. I hate it when people throw hate directly at the person. Guys, we don’t KNOW these people. Why do WE feel entitled to direct tweet them or DM them hate when the situation is none of our fucking business? Why DM hate to any of the people involved in this drama??? We might all have strong opinions, and sure we can express them on the internet, but lets not be horrible human beings and direct them to the actual people who we’ve never met.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Based on ten month Real Calendar, begins in March w/36 days and April w/37 days, alternating 36 & 37 days each month after. Leap Day (Quantum Day) is last day of every fourth year additional, where December has 38 days in a leap year. March 1st would best be placed as new years day on the day after the spring equinox, and year end of December 37th on the spring equinox day. Such a calendar similar to that arrangement existed before the Christian Pirates tacked January and February onto the beginning of the year, fouling up everything that is intuitive for humans to know about Earth and it’s relationship to the Sun, Time, and growing food.
The Real Calendar does not require that a new years day exists at all. March could begin at either the winter solstice or the spring equinox and still work better than what we are using for timing for the past 2021 years. The benefit of Spring time March is imminently obvious, and I think people would feel more productive on a personal level simply by the arrangement of the calendar year restarting in the spring time, rather than in the dead of winter as we do now.
The only reason to have a new years day, is to make an ongoing tally of years as they progress, for purposes of recording the events of the past years. In absence of interest in making a accurate record of past events, new years day is completely decorative, like wreath on the door of the house, is useless.
Different parts of the world have differing times of a growing season, but everywhere on Earth there is two equinox, and two solstice within a single annual earth orbit/tilt cycle, so, new years day, and a consistent March 1st world wide probably would not be ideal everywhere for everyone. The reason we have the current Global “oneness” of time keeping is a product of a quest for Global Domination by one group of people who started out with taking control of all global time, 2021 years ago, when they tacked January and February onto the beginning of the year, which really satisfies no one on Earth at all. The quest for Global Domination Under the Cross, is what fouled up everything on Earth.
The Christian Pirates use and refer to the Real Ten Month Calendar for their own uses to take over the world, they use the calendar the stole from you and me, so that they can keep us in the dark ages, unable to think on our own.
So, back to the Pope’s mass murder terror tweet, based on a tenth month calendar:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
36 March 37 A 36 M         MAM = Russian Hoax 37 J 36 J          JJ = power tubes (”bad ones”, rumored to be substandard)
----
182
Take it apart:
182 = 180 + 2
182 = 180 (play the turn-a-round) + 2 (Swing sword. make the Ell that makes the cut = 1/2 (one divided by two) = 0.5 = $5 per head at the Walmart Service Counter exchange rate.
36 + 36 + 36 + 36 + 36 = 180 (add 2-way) = one cross
36 + 36 = 72 = one virgin
72 + 72 = 144 = 12² = one gross (add one-half of one half gross (36) two parents of one or more virgin children) + one cross (one two-piece) = 182 (the mother becomes a slave, is stowed below deck, the father becomes Jesus on the mast of the boat, on the cross)
---------------------------------
These are artifacts that show up while decoding:
JJ = Power Tubes (send Amp Guru for bias adjustment, watch for smoke)
MA'M = Female terror Russian Hoax -------------------------------------------------
Mystery yet to solve, w/speculation:
Household electricity current is standardized as two legs, each at 120v, for 240v maximum voltage.
Standard household electric current is often marked as two legs each w/110v and the resulting two-legged current is said to be 220v.
That is the mystery. Appliances are marked with both statements being true some of time.
The speculation is that Amp Guru Music Industry Vatican Choir and One Hour Martinizing Film and Television industry “Hokus Pokus” “Cleaners” are part of that missing 10v per leg.
Use your old See ‘n‘ Say for Farm Animals, to help understand:
Amp Guru says: “Here Kitty Kitty”
The Martinizer says: “Film at Eleven“
Amp Guru runs in stereo, they get two legs differently than does The Martinizer, who is visual based.
The Martinizer will require at least 220v from time to time, so the Laundry Dryer can run without gas.
Amp Guru almost never needs more than 120v while using household current. Amp Guru is perfectly OK with 110v, a Minus Ten situation is nominal for Amp Guru.
Amp Guru tells their friends about their power flexibility with a number of clues left laying around, such as 48v Phantom Power they arrange inside their microphone and recording gear, and the Variac veritable transformer that can be used to “tease” a guitar amplifier into sounding more “Brown“, or have “Higher Gain” resultant of reduced voltage, and high demand for power.
With clues like those, and perhaps others that you know of, the mystery of the Household Power Current Discrepancy can be solved.
Clearly, electricity is not the “Rocket Science” of little tolerance that we have been programmed to believe it is. Fact is, power is sloppy.
Key to solving the mystery of the sometimes missing 10v per leg, is in the fact that we are charged for electricity at a rate of Watts Consumed over time, however, no one has ever drawn a single Watt from a power grid, ever. The appliances and gadgets all draw Ampers, not Watts. So, the key lies in the draw of Amps to our own personal power, while they fake us out with Watts.
When you look at the power details of a electric product, and see that, for instance a lightbulb is 100 Watts, what you are looking at is a measurement of how useful the product is. The Watt is the measure of the work that was done, or the convenience provided as output for you to use.
The Ampers on the other hand, are only contained in small print, hidden on the label that is located on the product, so, they have made it difficult for us to actually know before hand, how much electric power a given product is going to consume. They (the big terror machine) are charging us for the convenience measured by the Watt, while disregarding our need to know about the actual Ampere that is necessary to provide the work that was done by the electric product.
They give us Volts. Standard.
They mesmerize us with Watts.
They baffle us with bullshit, while hiding the truth, that an Amp is what is consumed, not a Watt.
All of that horse shit happens, while the leadership cries foul about electricity consumption, in a world where the same people arrange that we are not able to know how much we are consuming with the products we choose to purchase.
It’s the Ampere that needs to go on the front of the packaging label, along side the Watt.
The mystery of the missing 10v per leg is deep.
If you ask any one to explain electricity to you, all you will ever hear is a bullshit story about water pressure, and the way the water only trickles out of a fat water hose, or will come out fast with a narrow water hose. They will bullshit you all day long about how you need to swap out the size of the water hose in order to get the water to come out with some pressure behind it.
We need to stop going to the Plumber when we need electricity problems solved.
They don‘t want you thinking about Amps, or that missing 10v per leg.

now, on with the Pope Mass Murder Hit decode:
----------------------------------------------------------------
This is some text from the Pope Tweet:
“Sunday” = Mass = it's a hit order, so, it's Black Mass Murder
“Grandparents” = the mark = Parents of small children, are "Whales" for fishing = Grand Parents
“Experience” = Jimmies Band (plays a right handed guitar, left handed, backwards, and upside down, and is one of the very best guitar players ever) (other reference can be said: “’Squids’ are baby surfers, they all try to ride goofy foot at least once”; See: “Drop in at Third Point Malibu” and “Long boarder’s rule the beach at the Bu” on this account; Squids ride at second point Malibu)
The word “Therefore” is there to help the reader include the “ff ligature” mentioned above, in order to see “Amp Guru” and by extension “Rocky Mountain Power Corporation of Colorado and all five of their sub-utilities” is present in the message.
“Institute” = places like schools and hospitals. Highly controlled, often subsidized environments.
“Grandparents are the uniting link” = as explained above, they are “Whales”, will be fished out, that leaves the children, easy prey, for capturing and training as terror soldiers, thereby “Uniting the children with the terror army through extermination“
“Generations” can go more than one direction to explain, so, that is more “Squids ride second point Malibu” because it breaks left and right often. Generations can refer to Genesis, a endless source of child terror soldiers to train, or, it can refer to the generations of terror family cell members in USA, descendants of many attack infiltration from Canada. In California, the current kindergartners are fifth generation family descendants of the original paratrooper attack there in 1970′s, of which there is no public record available anywhere but on this Tumblr account. Oregon are third generation, going into fourth generation now from a northern march made from California over many years. The kidnapped captured “Squids” are trained as disposable, and do the more dangerous terror activity, while the Generational Family Members are safe from dangerous activity.

D = The Text = God + T + X + T = Trinity Rules = God: Two of one, one of another = "With this Book, and two squirrels and an Owl, we could rule the world"
----------------------
The phrase: “With two Squirrels and an Owl, we can rule the world” is insider knowledge, is a statement made by Elisabeth Windsor and Philip Mountbaten I learned in 1970 or there about, from them personally, in California.
----------------------------------------------
This is just thinking out loud:
January + February = Two Squirrels
Heroin = one Owl
----------------------------------------------
This is based on combination of many years of learning:
Two squirrels and an Owl are Puppets under the Pope
The Pope = House of Lords + Vatican = The Jim Dunlop (Christianity Crusade Crafters), are Puppet Masters aboard The Flying V Pirate Ship
However ... The Pope does a side show gig under the stage name, Jim Dunlop, plays lead Ax through a stack of Marshalls with endless effect peddles available, for signature, custom tonality.
Tonality = the bottom part of the Cross where Jesus feet are nailed through his toes.
The Jim Dunlop plays Lead Ax with his feet, the children of those who parish at the show.
The Pope plays the Alter, a Lyra, to work the Christians with his hands on deck
The Pope works the Puppets, while the Jim Dunlop works the Masses
The Pope = The Jim Dunlop The Jim Dunlop = The Pope
God = The Devil The Devil = God
God is above The Devil is below
The Bible = Above & Below = God and Devil
The Pope = The Bible
The Jim Dunlop = The Bible
The Bible = The Pope and The Jim Dunlop together on the same stage playing the blues
Once the show is recorded, it's a Vinyl record album, plays at 33 1/3 RPM, is Blues Concept Jazz record, keeps going around and around, has a scratch on both sides. Somehow, it's Progressive Rock. FM.
The album always starts on the A side. It sits on the platter, with the A Side showing. Pope says to play the Turn-a-Round, that’s the B Side, the dark side, flip it ... Mormons.

9:25 pm:
With Mormon‘s, you get Utah, and Snake River & the Great Salt Lake. It’s not a subject I want to talk about, but you can.
With Mormon‘s and Utah, playing the Turn-a-Round, you get: “Hat U” and “Hate U”.
With “Hat U”, it comes with a graduation ceremony, IV League School.
With that, is the subject we need to think about, because the so called COVID vaccine’s are a “Two-Piece” situation from all of the manufacturers.
The first dose is likely to contain some heroin, make the victim feel very comfortable, and, willing to take the second dose.
There will be lots of “COVID Testing” of the victims.
Those who fail the test that happens between Side A, and Side B, will be given Euthanasia, and the Corona Virus will have taken another victim, at “Hate University”.
I suspect those who pass the COVID Test, and agree to become Christian Terror Pirates, will be given weekly rations of heroin, the way it’s been done in Oregon for more than twenty years. Those people begin to attend “Hat University”, to learn about the dark side of the Pope’s Pointy Hat.

10:55 pm:
This here looks like a “heads up call” from Boris to the Kuaui Ranch Amp Guru Vatican Choir “Green’s of Olde Three Ply” terror cell on Kuaui. They are the ones who are really running the Christian terror at the White House,US Congress and all of the US Government, at minimum, leading members include Ann Wilson and Roger Waters at the very top of the Triangular Prism that is Amp Guru HQ.
The read only includes three lines of text in the Boris Tweet. There may be more, but I am not interested in anything other than three specific lines of text.
“Admitted to a hospital“
“Positive for COVID19″
“Hannah x”
It’s all “Justified at Center”
The two top lines, line up nicely.
Hannah is a RADAR word, a Palindrome.
Hanna is a place on Kuaui that very few people ever get to see, even if you visit Kauai, the “Road to Hanna” is legendary, songs are written about the “Road to Hanna”. It takes about seven hours to drive the “Road to Hanna”, top speed, about 20 knots ... it’s a Pirate Only Road, you have to dodge many a “Shaved Ice” vendor to make it to and from Hanna, and the road is lined with dozens of Christian Statues and memorial displays, all of which are contained within the overhead drop of a water fall ... it’s treacherous on many levels. There is much more that could be said, but one thing to say, is I don‘t think you will find any US Citizens who have been to Hanna, and lived to tell about one of the most beautiful places on Earth, certainly there are not many, and there are fewer who have stood at the top ledge of the upper most water fall there, as I have.
Hanna is considered Sacred Ground by what few natives remain on the Islands. and also by the Seventh Day Adventist Canables who took over, and hunt there for victims, “Strap”, and “Kiddie Table”.
Ann Wilson is the Head SDA Cannibal.
I am pretty sure David Gilmour is dead, otherwise I would include him at the top of the Pyramid.
I see a “Heads Up” for terror leaders on Kauai, at Kauai Ranch.

This one may be a tough sell. but:
I suspect the recent Game Stop, Robin Hood, and that other outfit, and, the recent Hydrogen Explosion at the Food Prep Factor, are what is mentioned there in the Tweet from Reuters UK. I further suspect that both incedence of false stories were generated by Google (Twitter) as a way to distract from reality, while maybe making a few Bit Coin at the Canadian run fake nyse, nasdaq, forex, and pink sheets.
So, with that background, and with focus on Google, the Reuters UK story winds up at Amp Guru on Kauai for more “Heads Up”, perhaps in a Google direction rather than an Island Paradise direction.
Shell is in the Oil business, not power trading, not hydrogen power. The inclusion of Hydrogen by Rueters UK (SIS MI6) is suspicious of even more than a heads up.
My read, is one of association to Boris Johnson and the Hannah Island idea, where you already assume that there are some police type folks hovering around at Amp Guru in order to make the connection to Lord of the Flies, where there is a character called Piggy, who finds a giant Conch Shell on the beach, and the Conch becomes very important to the young people trapped on that island where Lord of the Flies took place.
Reuters UK picks up a Conch Shell, points it towards Google, and begins to blow, like a good nun sister should when things are looking down at the Ranch.
They are blowing the call of the Pig, not just any Pig though, it’s an Island Paradise Lord of the Flies pig. A wild boar pig head on a stake, and is sacrilegious. Reuters UK (SIS MI6 nuns) says two messages with a single blow.
The Conch could be pointed at SAG Writers Guild also. They are equally evil, are the people who crafted all of the Time Warp terror, and much more.

7:04 pm:
now is a good time to mention that dead terror soldier from last night’s walk to the mailbox:
As I gathered my coat, put on my shoes, and got a flashlight (I am starting to use the flashlight when I take a walk, it’s that bad here. Those who know me, know that is really bad), the terror bastards at Chartrands, Chapmans, Monroe’s, and Strong’s terror cells, were listening to the sounds that can be heard with a number of small hidden listening devices they planted in and around my home, and in addition to the implanted microphone transmitter that was installed into my jaw in 2011 by the terror army at a routine dental visit.
They were already in position, as it got dark outside, knowing that I make dinner about that time, and that I will be busy in the kitchen, not watching the front door or windows as I have been doing non stop for about seven, or five years... a long time it’s been that I must stay near the front door to defend against the intruders who get keys to my house from the Josephine County sheriff.
So they heard me getting ready to go get the mail.
I heard the terror soldier as she arrived on the front porch, so, “Siri... Power Down... Android... Power Down“ I said... the sounds I make, all of the words I speak, are received by the local terror army. So, about 30 seconds passed, and then I heard the magic words from the from the front porch while I had my ear to the door... “you turned off my comm” was spoken by the terrorist bitch at the front door.
I opened the door, and standing there was a terror soldier wearing the Pixel Suit electronic camouflage technology. Only her feet and the “Trident” was visible. The Trident is a three bladed sword that straps to the wrist of the terror soldier.
“Freeberg! Your ass is mine...” I said.
I proceeded to defend.
“Ooof” said the terrorist bitch as the Trident was thrust through her head.
“You have to pay extra for the Ooof” I said some more, as I lit my lighter a lot on my front porch.
The terrorist bitch launched away, landed beneath my yard light about 150 feet away.
I walked over there, then decided not to go near her, as the Trident was stuck in her head, and she was rolling around... the terror bastards can kill you even after they are dead. So, I went to check on the frozen heating unit in the backyard, and by then, I had forgotten that anything happened, the nitrous gas with medazolam does that, makes you forget what happened five minutes ago.
I went to the mailbox, and that is when I saw Jay Freeberg’s truck going towards 535 Jackpine, however, it looked as if the truck kept going passed the Freeberg terror cell at 535.
The rest of what happened was written last night with the fake Carpenters Union mail.
Assessment is Jay Freeberg, General of the Terror Air Force, is dead.
Further assessment includes that the Pope terror cell: “Green‘s of Olde Three Ply” at the Vatican Choir HQ at Kauai Ranch in the State of Hawaii, learned that I was killed, when reality is Janice “Jay-Bob” Freeberg was killed. The Vatican Choir needs me dead or otherwise silenced before mass murder terror commands on Twitter can be done, because they all know I can read their command orders they present on Twitter, so, the Pope account thought I was dead, and that triggered that Mass Murder Pope Pirate terror hit to be launched, it’s a repeat, that one has been Tweeted before, I read it the same way before, the terror bastards know that particular Tweet, they know that it’s a command to March on a plan to kill parents, and take children captive for training as terror soldiers of the future, and for use as sex slaves, and the strongest among the children are used as experimental surgery “specimens”, in preparation of the goal, where the terror leaders created slave people surgically customized to perform tasks with ergonomically designed equipment and machinery that they will become “extensions of the machine they operate”.
What I am saying includes that today’s Twitter time line from major news media network “Verified Accounts”, was also triggered to release many pre-recorded Tweets about “Opening the schools” and “Assisted Living Facility” news items was rolled out, among other “Institutional” controlled environment locations where victims will be exterminated like insects in a jar. Many of the women taken as slaves, men all killed or used as “experimental surgery specimens” and the children captured as mentioned.
All because Jay Freeberg was killed in defense on my front porch, while national security was jacking off.
Joe Biden is not going to acknowledge any terrorism in USA. He will stay with the Russian Mother of all Hoaxes story lines, about Iran, Syria, Russian interference and China as the enemy.
The Joe Biden Team works for the Pope, Amp Guru, and the One Hour Martinizer, he is told what to do, when and how to do it, by British House of Lords.
US Congress is not going to help to stop any mass murdering in USA or anywhere, it’s their job to maintain the Pirate Ship, and to make sure that any national security, US Military, or other public safety personnel all wind up in a bottleneck trap, are gassed, captured, tortured, killed and replaced with Canadian look-a-like replacements under direction from SAG leaders under direction of Nancy Sinatra.

Human Rights In The News- Immigrant Detention Centers
Selma Watson
English 179
12/4/20
Immigrant detention centers have become the topic of many news stories over the last few years, especially since the election of President Donald Trump, whose administration has taken a very militaristic approach to immigration prevention, with the suggested building of border walls, the extreme funding of government programs such as ICE, and the military patrolling of our country’s southern border and surrounding areas. The militarization of immigration actually began during the Clinton administration and his “Operation Gatekeeper”, which aimed to diminish illegal crossing of the US-Mexico border (The World, 2019). Though this problem did not begin with the Trump administration, the number of people being held in detention centers has risen sharply since his election, in fact, as of September 2019 the US had 52,722 people detained (Kassie, 2019). While there are many biases in the media representation of undocumented immigrants, and immigrant detention centers, the general concensus is that this is a human rights problem that must be righted.
The coverage of immigration and immigrant detention in the news varies greatly based on where one chooses to get their information. There are many varying reports on whether  the conditions in the detention centers are humane or not, with some immigrants stating they experienced physical or emotional abuse, overcrowding, and lack of resources such as adequate food or heat (Armus, 2020). Detention workers deny these claims, though few centers actually let outsiders in to see the conditions. Even far right news sources such as Fox have had to concede that the detention centers are “stark holding center[s],” and “not where [immigrants] wanted to end up in their journey north,” (Shaw, 2019). Immigrants in this country face a very specific rhetoric provided by the media and by the President himself, with Trump’s most vulgar language often directed towards immigrants. Donald Trump perpetuates the ideas that immigrants, especially from Mexico, are “animals, rapists, and gang members,” all of which he has said at different points during his campaign and presidency (Collins & Hayes, 2019). Liberal news sources and politicians often call out Trump’s depiction of immigrants, yet the implicit bias that all immigrants are criminals still prevails in this country.
I wanted to examine the biases surrounding immigrant detention centers by looking at different news sources with both far left, far right, and more central views and reputations. I started with more liberal news sources, such as MSNBC, Huffington Post, and The Guardian, looking for information on immigrant detention centers. In one MSNBC segment, reporter Jacob Soboroff, who was able to tour one of the detention centers holding children stated that while they children are not in physical cages, they are “effectively incarcerated.” He made the connection between the children in detention centers, and animals in zoos. There is a large overcrowding crisis (1400 children are housed in this one center), due to the Trump administration taking children from their immigrant parents, effectively making them unaccompanied minors. The children are reportedly allowed outside for two hours a day, with the other twenty-two hours spent inside the converted Walmart that is being used to house them. This is 1 of 100 facilities of the same purpose in this country (MSNBC, 2018). A Huffington Post article had similar information on detention centers, reporting “dangerous overcrowding” that produced serious health risks to those detained. The article reports that people were held for much longer than they were supposed to be, while being denied basic human decencies such as showers and space for sleeping. A quote from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is included in the article, where she states, “According to concentration camp experts, people begin to die due to overcrowding, neglect, and shortage of resources. We saw all three of those signs on our trip yesterday. Another person died yesterday. And those are the deaths we know about” (Karanth, 2019). While both of these news sources are known to be more liberal, the information is hard to look past.
When attempting to find news articles on immigrant detention centers from more right-wing sources I was shocked, but not necessarily surprised, to find that the coverage was much different. Sources like OANN (One American News Network) only had articles on immigration policy, not reports on the conditions or impacts of detention centers. The Wall Street Journal similarly had few articles covering the actual detention of immigrants, with most of the information focusing on the differences between Trump and Biden’s policies, or the ongoing court cases that have been presented on the topic of immigrant detention. This in and of itself is a huge bias that must be recognized. Many people seek their news from one or a few sources, usually sources that align with their political beliefs. If a person only receives their news from more conservative news sites, they are only getting a slight fraction of the information on immigrant detention.
While there are many varying views and reports on immigrant detention, there seem to be several key facts that are almost impossible to ignore. In a study conducted by The American Civil Liberties Union, Human Rights Watch, and the National Immigrant Justice Center, it has been shown that since 2017, privately owned immigrant detention centers have grown in popularity (as of January 2020, 81% of detention centers are owned or operated by private companies), resulting in billions of dollars of revenue for the private operators that run the facilities. The study also found that there have been a multitude of medical issues in said facilities, including at least 39 deaths due to subpar care, and the inability to receive proper medical care (Human Rights Watch, 2020). While the Trump administration is not solely responsible for the immigration policies in this country, under his presidency the policing and detention of immigrant families and children has risen. Trump operates under a Zero Tolerance policy, with a goal of 100% prosecution rate for those crossing the border into this country illegally, regardless of the reasons for their immigration (Human Rights Watch, 2018). It is important to note that there are many reasons for immigration, including but not limited to searching for jobs, reuniting with family, fleeing violence or political unrest, and climate change. There are political, economic, and social reasons for immigration, especially to countries such as the US that provide higher paying jobs, better living conditions, and some assemblance of political protection. Imprisoning people searching for nothing more than seeking the “American Dream” is a human rights violation, especially when the imprisonment involves splitting up families and holding children in separate detention facilities. Many biases are clear in the reporting of immigration, and the coverage of the detention centers, but it is possible to find the facts and truths of the issue.

In an interesting development in the wake of a bias controversy over its cropping algorithm Twitter has said it’s considering giving users decision making power over how tweet previews look, saying it wants to decrease its reliance on machine learning-based image cropping.
Yes, you read that right. A tech company is affirming that automating certain decisions may not, in fact, be the smart thing to do — tacitly acknowledging that removing human agency can generate harm.
As we reported last month, the microblogging platform found its image cropping algorithm garnering critical attention after Ph.D. student Colin Madland noticed the algorithm only showed his own (white male) image in preview — repeatedly cropping out the image of a black faculty member.
Ironically enough he’d been discussing a similar bias issue with Zoom’s virtual backgrounds.
Geez…any guesses why @Twitter defaulted to show only the right side of the picture on mobile? pic.twitter.com/UYL7N3XG9k
— Colin Madland (@colinmadland) September 19, 2020
Twitter responded to the criticism at the time by saying it had tested for bias before shipping the machine learning model and had “not found evidence of racial or gender bias”. But it added: “It’s clear from these examples that we’ve got more analysis to do. We’ll continue to share what we learn, what actions we take, and will open source our analysis so others can review and replicate.”
It’s now followed up with additional details about its testing processes in a blog post where it suggests it could move away from using an algorithm for preview crops in the future.
Twitter also concedes it should have published details of its bias testing process before launching the algorithmic cropping tool — in order that its processes could have been externally interrogated. “This was an oversight,” it admits.
We saw your Tweets about the harm caused by how images are cropped on Twitter.
Today we’re sharing how we test for bias in our systems, and how we plan to rely less on auto-cropping and give you more choice in how images appear in Tweets: https://t.co/tiSreeoGOA
— Twitter Support (@TwitterSupport) October 1, 2020
Explaining how the model works, Twitter writes: “The image cropping system relies on saliency, which predicts where people might look first. For our initial bias analysis, we tested pairwise preference between two demographic groups (White-Black, White-Indian, White-Asian and male-female). In each trial, we combined two faces into the same image, with their order randomized, then computed the saliency map over the combined image. Then, we located the maximum of the saliency map, and recorded which demographic category it landed on. We repeated this 200 times for each pair of demographic categories and evaluated the frequency of preferring one over the other.”
“While our analyses to date haven’t shown racial or gender bias, we recognize that the way we automatically crop photos means there is a potential for harm. We should’ve done a better job of anticipating this possibility when we were first designing and building this product. We are currently conducting additional analysis to add further rigor to our testing, are committed to sharing our findings, and are exploring ways to open-source our analysis so that others can help keep us accountable,” it adds.
On the possibility of moving away from algorithmic image cropping in favor of letting humans have a say, Twitter says it’s “started exploring different options to see what will work best across the wide range of images people tweet every day”.
“We hope that giving people more choices for image cropping and previewing what they’ll look like in the tweet composer may help reduce the risk of harm,” it adds, suggesting tweet previews could in future include visual controls for users.
Such a move, rather than injecting ‘friction’ into the platform (which would presumably be the typical techie concern about adding another step to the tweeting process), could open up new creative/tonal possibilities for Twitter users by providing another layer of nuance that wraps around tweets. Say by enabling users to create ‘easter egg’ previews that deliberately conceal a key visual detail until someone clicks through; or which zero-in on a particular element to emphasize a point in the tweet.
Given the popularity of joke ‘half and half’ images that play with messaging app WhatsApp’s preview crop format — which requires a click to predictably expand the view — it’s easy to see similar visual jokes and memes being fired up on Twitter, should it provide users with the right tools.
The bottom line is that giving humans more agency means you’re inviting creativity — and letting diversity override bias. Which should be a win-win. So it’s great to see Twitter entertaining the idea of furloughing one of its algorithms. (Dare we suggest the platform also takes a close and critical look at the algorithmic workings around ‘top tweets’, ‘trending tweets’, and the ‘popular/relevant’ content its algos sometimes choose to inject, unasked, into users’ timelines, all of which can generate a smorgasbord of harms.)
Returning to image cropping, Twitter says that as a general rule it will be committed to “the ‘what you see is what you get’ principles of design” — aka, “the photo you see in the tweet composer is what it will look like in the tweet” — while warning there will likely still be some exceptions, such as for images that aren’t a standard size.
In those cases it says it will experiment with how such images are presented, aiming to do so in a way that “doesn’t lose the creator’s intended focal point or take away from the integrity of the photo”. Again, it will do well to show any algorithmic workings in public.

Note
(1) i sometimes get confused what the writers' intentions are for Clarke. Personally I think that the narrative is dismantling these autocrat and monarch leaders/government systems and moving towards something similar to a council. They're calling out these leaders who make decisions on their own constantly, not showing their decisions in a positive light (usually - L was an exception here in 3A i think).
I don’t think L WAS an exception. I think they wanted to show Polis in a glamorized light. They were humanizing the grounder way and showing the appeal, seducing Clarke into wanting to be like that. There’s more than one way to respond to these tyrannical leadership systems and ALL of them have their rationales and reasons. One of the dangers of leadership is that you will be sucked in by the control and privilege and luxury of having that power. I think this was shown. Clarke was DESTROYED by Lxa’s autocratic decisions, but when confronted with L in her power, the logic started to make sense and she was swayed over to her side.
But pay closer attention. Clarke is literally the ONLY one who says Lxa is doing a good job and the right thing. None of her subjects, advisors, lieutenants or rivals believe she is a good leader. She has MULTIPLE attempts against her life and power. Since when is this a sign that someone’s leadership is working? In the end she loses her life because she is unable to see clearly or lead wisely according to her most important advisor. The attempt against Clarke was to force L’s hand as a leader and change her path.
(2) I don’t think it’s purposeful on the writers’ part, intended for the viewer to criticize her white savior role. and a lot of viewers *do* like this part of her character and see a lot of the L mentions etc as foreshadowing (and they’re not all just deluded shippers - like almost all of the journalists reviewing 4x08 predicted Clarke would become heda) so I don’t know if I’m looking at this in a biased way, not seeing what’s clearly there.
How is this not purposeful? They called the episode where L lets her village and coalition leaders be bombed “Rubicon,” the point of no return. She had gone down a wrong path. The betrays Clarke and Lincoln and Indra both immediately say it’s wrong. They start the new season with entire NATIONS saying L was weak. She kills everyone who disagrees with her and terrifies the rest into never standing up to her. When her advisors warn her of her choices she falls back on her tyranny and calls them subjects and reminds them what happens to people who disagree with her. Are you as confused by her candles and pretty outfits as Clarke was? Do the excuses she gave work for you too? She did it for her people, so it was okay that she sacrifices whoever she wants to? Just FYI, if the people challenge your rule using the laws you set up, and you kill them for the challenge, it’s not a democracy.
You say “journalists,” like getting a gig as a website reviewer means they are actually right in their interpretation. I’ve read some of those. They’re WRONG. Being published does not mean people are infallible. Those are not objective reviews, they are someone’s opinion. They are biased opinions. Recognize them for their bias and it’s a lot easier to understand what their agenda is. And it’s not necessarily to talk about the show as it is, but about what they want to see.
(3) I agree with most of your meta and spec for the future of t100, but I also see the potential for the writers to fuck up and make her heda, you know? I think sometimes they get carried away with their ‘girl power’ and don’t see the issues. Namely with L and her power dynamics with C. I was predicting that this was all foreshadowing for Clarke ultimately rejecting the chip and L’s leadership style but that’s also another blow to CLs and Lxa in general (a risk i don’t know they’d take)
Of course I might be wrong too. It’s speculation. It’s interpretation. I tell you what I think SHOULD happen, but I’m not writing the story, they are. This idea that they are going to cave to the antis, though, I don’t think this is respectful. They’ve said they’re not changing their story. They are being supported by their studio. One of the writers even liked a tweet that hoped writers were not bullied by antis into changing their story.
I think this is a very interesting conversation going on right now. We’re seeing it all over. This idea that the AUDIENCE is who gets to dictate what stories are being told. As a writer and an artist, I’m going to say that if we want the audience to dictate story, so as not to offend people, what we will end up is nothing but bland, whitewashed stories.
Everywhere, people are yelling at writers for telling THEIR stories, because they don’t like the story that’s being told. As if writers have some sort of obligation to make the audience happy… but the audience is not allowing OTHER parts of the audience to have different desires.
There is so much disrespect for writers in fandom. They’re seen as stupid and racist and ignorant and villains and at the same time, the audience DEMANDS exactly what they want from the writers and if they don’t get it, they harass and attack them.
Honestly, it’s very self important. If people think they can tell a better story then they should go ahead and do it. They really should. If they think their representation isn’t shown correctly, they should ABSOLUTELY tell their own stories. Instead standing on the sidelines telling the people who are writing the stories they love that they are failures and suck and don’t know what they’re doing and deserve to be fired.
Yes. We can demand fair representation, but perhaps also we might want to find out what we are talking about before deciding the writers are evil and wrong and no good and bad. The ignorance I’ve seen in fandom is outstanding. The refusal to see anything beyond their own perspective and the tendency to discount anyone’s opinion that isn’t like their own. And THESE are the opinions that demand the most voice. The ones that think only their OWN representation matters and every other story is offensive or unimportant.
You say that the writers don’t understand the issues they are writing about. Now I’m not saying they don’t mess up sometimes, I think actually sometimes they try to avoid one pitfall and end up falling into another, but to boldly say that they don’t know the story they are writing about is dismissive and disrespectful. This story is EXPLICITLY about power, leadership, tyranny, oppression, freewill, salvation and redemption. It’s about HOW the world fell and how they are going to build it back up… but you think they accidentally wrote about the power imbalance in Polis and didn’t mean it? Even though it echoes the issues of power and consent in the COL. Even though L’s role with Clarke echoes Dante’s role with Clarke in MW? Even though when Clarke took on L’s way of doing things, she failed in every attempt? Even though Roan is going on about being like L to urge her to commit an atrocity, and it’s only when she chooses to be ABSOLUTELY UNLIKE LXA that she comes back to being OUR hero, not Lxa’s white savior hero, born for this and chosen by the gods.
I think people want the writers to explain what they’re doing and make it clear what they mean. And they are not going to do that. They are leaving things ambiguous and open to interpretation. They are maintaining their gray morality and humanizing villains and showing the bad choices of their heroes.
Like you say they get too carried away with girl power, and they definitely indulge in that, but have you noticed how they’ve BROKEN every single one of their badass ladies? Broken.
Are there hints that Clarke could be heda? Sure. But there is also a knew story being told, and that is Clarke and Bellamy revisiting their mistakes of the past and fixing them after all the things they have learned. They’ve brought their lessons back to the world and are in the act of CHANGING the story. (This is the end of the classic hero’s journey, btw, a long standing literary character and story arc.) We’ve already seen them do it a few times. Will they revisit this OLD heda system that failed miserably and created a world entirely based around war? Probably.
But the THEME of this story is about saving humanity, making humanity worthy of salvation, and redemption. This does NOT mean we repeat past mistakes. This mean we learn from them and CHANGE things. We do NOT go backwards.
Watch.
TLDR: The writers are more in control of the story than you think they are. The fans have less input than you think they do. Follow the story, not the fans or “journalists”. Stick to the text.

Big data
What is enormous information, at any rate? all things considered, there's the great 3v demonstrate - high volume, high speed and high assortment - that is bandied about regularly. yet, that prevalent, if shapeless, definition doesn't generally clarify the logical advantages give by a major information stage.
David mcjannet, vp of advertising for hortonworks, trusts that a more down to earth depiction is called for, one that clarifies this present reality advantages of huge information.
"Huge information isn't this amorphous thing," mcjannet told informationweek in a telephone meet. "pragmatically, it's tied in with building net-new scientific applications dependent on new sorts of information that (an association) wasn't beforehand following."
Horton works, obviously, has an exceptionally sober minded motivation to instruct the world about enormous information's points of interest. as a noteworthy driver of the hadoop biological system, the palo alto, calif., undertaking programming organization has much to pick up by convincing associations to store and break down enormous measures of information that they may somehow or another overlook, Learn Big Data training in Chennai at Greens Technologys .
Tumblr media
Is big data commoditization a real threat?
So here's an option (yet professional) definition: big information is tied in with "building new scientific applications dependent on new sorts of information, with the end goal to all the more likely serve your clients and drive a superior upper hand," said mcjannet.
This less difficult definition may enable organizations to move "past the more amorphous idea" of huge information, he included.
Every huge datum isn't similar, obviously, so hortonwork has subdivided these cloudy bits into five unmistakable information classifications: web based life; server logs; web clickstream; machine/sensor; and geolocation.
Be that as it may, in what manner can organizations utilize this data?
Take web based life information. organizations are utilizing facebook, twitter and comparable social destinations as "assessment indicators," mcjannet said. a motion picture maker, for example, can utilize this information to track responses to another film that is turning out and enhance a promoting effort dependent via web-based networking media clients' remarks.
Server logs can help framework heads, who mine this information in hadoop to distinguish and respond to essential issues. mcjannet offered this precedent: "on the off chance that i track each and every inbound demand on my site and after that overlay that by geology, i can decide better where my greatest client hotspots are, and where i conceivably have security issues," he said.
Clickstream information is a case of how hadoop gives a moderate method to oversee data that would over-burden a customary information administration framework.
"On the off chance that i could catch clickstream information of the considerable number of snaps on my site, clearly that would top off my database before long. it's the sheer volume of clickstream information that is created," said mcjannet. "on the off chance that i store that information in hadoop ... i can utilize that data to construct an extremely fascinating investigative application."
Machines are a to a great extent undiscovered wellspring of enormous information also.
"Machine (information) is completely one of the greatest generators of information, regardless of whether (from) cooling units, fridges, trucks or homestead apparatus," mcjannet said. "it's detonating as far as the sort of instrumentation that is out there."
With a couple of billion cellphones being used, cell phones have huge potential for information gathering.
"Each time i'm passed from cell tower to cell tower, there's some bit of information that is being produced. it could be utilized on the off chance that somebody needed to assemble a systematic application," noted mcjannet.
Geolocation information is genuinely new, having been constrained to choose aviation and military uses until 10 years prior. today it demonstrates incredible guarantee in business applications.
A trucking organization, for example, could catch geolocation information each 10 to 60 seconds from each one of its vehicles out and about, and store what could add up to petabytes of information.
"Consider what applications you may have the capacity to construct on the off chance that you track all the geo-information related with your tasks, and by what means may you have the capacity to drive insight out of that," said mcjannet.
Can Big Data Be Racist?
Huge data controls the prescient models that can reveal to target you're pregnant before your doctor even knows. it empowers particular divisions of gigantic datasets, similar to the calculation that made the 76,897 miniaturized scale sorts keeping us snared on netflix. what's more, it has enabled us to crowdsource ongoing bits of knowledge, similar to the earth shattering disclosure that americans are similarly quick to #deportbieber as canadians are for us to #keepbieber.
At the end of the day, big data is as of now the best strategy we have for understanding an undeniably mind boggling world. but on the other hand it's blemished, in light of the fact that this information and the choices we make based on it are never totally objective. think about the instance of st. george's hospital medical school, which constructed a big data calculation to mechanize its confirmations procedure. the thought was to decrease fluctuation and increment objectivity, yet rather the school incidentally standardized inclination against ladies and minorities. this happened on the grounds that it was depending on verifiable affirmations information that unduly supported white male competitors. the model did precisely what it should do — and the opposite was expected.
When we decipher social platitudes and generalizations into exactly evident datasets, we bring subjectivity into an order that takes a stab at objectivity. when we pervade our big data experiences with our race-based predispositions, we anticipate our biases onto resulting perceptions. it's unavoidable. so is big data supremacist? the appropriate response is convoluted.
Envision now a big data calculation that methodicallly precludes credit to individuals from claiming shading based on their facebook likes, a training that few fico assessment offices are starting to grasp.
Take, for instance, harvard educator latanya sweeney's disclosure that looks for racially related names were lopsidedly activating focused on advertisements for criminal historical verifications and capture records. the calculation was both uncovering racial predisposition (the hostile advertisements will probably return whether individuals kept on tapping on them) and worsening it (the more individuals saw promotions that proposed dark names were associated with criminal movement, the additionally existing racial bias was fortified).
Envision now a big data calculation that deliberately prevents credit to individuals from securing shading based on their facebook likes, a training that few fico assessment offices are starting to grasp. the prescient model recommending that minority populaces are a higher credit hazard could simply be An impression of the inclination in our general public, similar to the case with st. george's and with sweeney's examination. be that as it may, as advertisers keep searching for a shorthand with which to recognize populace portions, their interest about dark clients is being utilized for purposes as considerate as offering balls and justin timberlake cds, or as terrible as declining access to credit or essential social equality and administrations.
Organizations currently approach immense amounts of unvolunteered statistic information that could be put to such utilize. one broadly detailed precedent is that of atlanta inhabitant kevin johnson, who, notwithstanding his close impeccable fico score, had his credit confine lessened from $10,800 to $3,800 without notice when american express verified that "different clients who have utilized their card at foundations where you as of late shopped have a poor reimbursement history with american express."
As a dark lady, i'm tired of seeing promotions for payday credits and hair relaxer (however i will never feel sick of justin timberlake advertisements).
While amex and different organizations as it don't profess to hold racial predisposition, their information does. okcupid knows your race based on whether you like blazes, the red sox, tom clancy (white) or the bible, playstation and law and order (dark.) so does facebook. what's more, in all likelihood so does each other organization on the planet that is hopped on the big data temporary fad.
This is the reason a few organizations have experienced harsh criticism for cost discrimination — as when staples.com really indicated higher costs on its sites to internet clients from poorer territories. it's the reason, as sites progressively give by and by customized content, the internet can actually appear to be unique relying upon the shade of your skin. what's more, it's the reason, as a dark lady, i'm tired of seeing advertisements for payday credits and hair relaxer (however i will never feel burnt out on justin timberlake promotions).
Huge data gives us the power and the stage to decrease individuals to their measured selves in a way that hasn't been conceivable as of not long ago. it enables us to assist the forces of separation. i'm certain oprah would be excited to realize that she doesn't need to abandon her home with the end goal to be racially profiled.
Amid hurricane sandy, guide specialists could use constant tweets to send assets to territories with the most noteworthy volume of bothered twitter clients. missing from the condition, nonetheless, were those most influenced—the individuals who couldn't tweet since they didn't have portable internet access or control, or either.
Yet, racial profiling isn't the main issue. shouldn't something be said about those individuals whom the big data machine neglects to try and record for? information subordination, an idea presented by scientist jonas lerman, portrays the failure of big data to completely catch those whose information impression is little or nonexistent. these are individuals without cell phones or facebook records or charge cards, who are lopsidedly dark. individuals who are now minimized by society will keep on being underestimated by the models that overlook them. amid hurricane sandy, for instance, help laborers could use continuous tweets to convey assets to regions with the most astounding volume of bothered twitter clients. missing from the condition, nonetheless, were those most influenced—the individuals who couldn't tweet since they didn't have versatile internet access or control, or either.
At last, big data mirrors the bigotry in our general public as well as propagates it. so while it's not intrinsically bigot, big data makes it that significantly less demanding for the general population utilizing it to be.
The numbers give us a reason to quit making inquiries and authorization to fortify generalizations. when we lessen somebody to the entirety of their factual and probabilistic self, we transform them into a social exaggeration that may mirror the weaknesses of our general public superior to any genuine qualities, practices or inclinations.
The incongruity is that big data is a major advance forward, an approach to utilize the present intense innovation to comprehend marvels that we would have totally missed yesterday. be that as it may, rather we might do the polar opposite: utilizing these ground-breaking prescient models to propagate racial predisposition.

Want to set your small business up for success? Do this.
Let’s talk about values. Not family values or stock values, but company values: the bedrock of an organization. A company’s core values define it in a way nothing else can. They support the vision and shape the culture. They are the principles and beliefs that define the work. They are what drive the company.
Some leaders consider values a soft sell or nice-to-have. Small businesses, in particular, are often hyper-focused on the product in a rush to get to market, forgetting to acknowledge the underlying foundation that helps a company run smoothly. But research shows that companies that lead with their values are better positioned to achieve strong customer loyalty, employee engagement, and team productivity. So if you want to set your business up for growth and long-term success, you’ve got to take time to focus on values.
First things first: Define your values.
Values act as a North Star for the company; they pinpoint what’s important, which then helps determine where to focus individual time and effort. Here at Salesforce, our #1 value is trust, a value which has become the backbone of our company (Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff even spoke at Davos this year about the importance of trust in an organization). That emphasis reverberates through everything we do and defines who we are as a company. Aside from trust, our Salesforce culture is guided by other core values of customer success, innovation, and equality. Every day, we’re personally responsible for living these values and holding each other accountable for them. These are the values that inspire us and help us to grow.
So think about the values that matter to your small business; what’s important to consider as you grow? Perhaps consider Benioff’s advice: “What is the most important thing to you in your company? Really look at your value system. What’s #1? If everything is important, nothing is important. You have to choose what is really important to you.”
Next, distribute your values.
With competition what it is today — intense — companies often lose sight of what drives them. To make sure you’re accountable for your values, you’ve got to make them visible. For years companies have thrown them right on the conference room wall. Other small businesses — like SalesLoft, QGenda, and Thompson Pump — opt to define their values on their websites for easy reference. Some companies go the traditional route with simple values (like trust, respect, and equality), which others take a modern approach with idea statements (like team over self, bias toward action, or focus on impact).
A good litmus test for whether a company lives its values is to ask the employees to name them. Would your employees be able to list the company values if asked? Could they tell you how they shine through in their day-to-day roles? If not, it’s time to shout them a little louder.
Make those values stick.
It’s one thing to write down your values — and quite another to live up to them every day. So once you’ve gone through the motions of defining and distributing your company’s values, you’ve actually got to make them stick. That means “living” your values. Let your values guide the company; they can dictate your decisions, your product direction, and even whom you hire. Values stretch us to be our very best, which is why you’ve got to embed them in how you work.
We’ve seen several recent examples where companies have received negative publicity because values were either compromised or not there to begin with. How can core values help you avoid these situations? Here at Salesforce we know that if we frame our work in the context of our values and use those values to drive our decision making, we’ll always make the right decision. And when we do make a wrong decision, we usually find that it’s because we weren’t aligned with our core values. North Star, indeed.
Evolve your values over time.
Just because you’ve thrown those values on your website doesn’t mean they have to stay there forever. Organizations, products, and people all change. If your current values aren’t tied to the vision, everything suffers — innovation slows, employees become disenchanted, and customers attrit. Something needs to change.
So take time every year to think about the status of your company. What’s driving it? What could it be doing better? Where do you want it to go? If you had to choose your core values from scratch right now, would they be the same as the originals? As your small business grows, this is a great exercise to make sure you stay aligned and moving forward.
Ready, get set, grow.
Competition today is fierce and small businesses must try to differentiate themselves in whatever ways they can. When products are the same or similar, a consumer’s decision is based on what kind of company he or she wants to support. So take some time to think about the values that are important to you. Write them down and shout them out. Make sure they radiate throughout the company. Breathe them in deeply and they will help you grow.
What values are important to your company? What’s a small business you know of that truly lives its values? I’d love to know. Tweet me at @mlaxros and let’s discuss.
