G-d i wish i was one of those girls who get drunk after 1 or 2 drinks. Unfortunately, G-d made me to alcohol what Godzilla is to radiation, so i'll only have a mild hangover for 1½ days after drinking 2 entire bottles of vodka in a single night x.x

Kalluzeb prompt #28746 cuz my brain wont stop.
Kallus and Zeb have been married for a few years, living on Lira San part time and helping the New Republic the rest of the time. Kallus is returning to Lira San solo when he hits some turbulence. He comes out of hyperspace to see the Ghost above Lira San. Worried something is wrong, he hails Hera with his standard fulcrum code and docks his shuttle to the Ghost. He is granted access but upon seeing who hailed them, no one on board is happy.
Turns out he traveled back in time somehow. Currently, the Ghost is delivering Chava back to Lira San, after being chased by an Agent Kallus that was still very much imperial. Zeb hadnt even gotten stuck on Bahryn with him yet, which is honestly devastating, being hated by his husband again.
The others are obviously skeptical but he points out that he could easily be proven correct if they find out where the other kallus is. Kanan warns him not to reveal much about the future for fear of changing things.
Kallus only gets a little sleep that night, partly because he's worried he'll never find his way home, and partly because Zeb isnt there. The next morning, his sleepy ass zombie walks around the Ghost in search of caf and the rest of the crew ends up being convinced Kallus isn't lying due to the way he instinctively interacts with them while half asleep. He leans against Zeb's arm to drink his caf at the breakfast table and absentmindedly gives Hera the little fruit tart that comes in his breakfast pack, after picking off the grapes, which she hates and eats them himself. Like he'd done it a million times. Kanan appears at the table and Kallus suddenly remembers himself, sitting up and apologizing to Zeb.

so y’all know about that fic idea I have where Kallus accidentally gets sent backwards in time to before the fall of Lasan?
have a snippet from pre-fall Zeb’s pov :)
@built-on-hope-1977 @gettiregretti @happybean17 @mystical-salamander @seth-silver-ink
“Please.” The stranger’s voice cracked like a whip in the Great Hall, strained with desperation. Though his stature was to be admired, he seemed smaller than a child in the cavernous meeting place. Scores of faces looked down upon him from their lofty positions in the viewing gallery, only adding to the illusion of a bug under a magnifying glass. Even the throne which the queen sat at was elevated on a platform; the strange man stood utterly alone in the middle of the room. Garazeb would’ve felt pity for the man if he could’ve found the mental capacity for it after the bombshell the human had just dropped on the royal court of Lasan.
“Please, you need to believe me,” the man begged once more. They hadn’t been able to get a name out of him, or where he had come from (and more importantly, how he had come). In his mind, Garazeb had settled for calling him Dots, if only to keep his attention away from the interloper’s maddeningly distracting golden eyes.
“And just why would we do that?” Glyn, a lower end minister of war, crossed his arms and stared vibroblades down at the stranger. “You’ve arrived on our planet with no explanation as to how, then you claim we will all be killed? You must be insane.”
“I’m not insane,” Dots shot back. “Why won’t you listen? The Empire is coming. They won’t stop until every living soul on this planet is dead.”
“The Empire would never dream of such a thing,” Anara scoffed. Her position as the sister of the queen gave her little official power, though her reach in terms of government could not be understated. “We pose no threat to them. We have not trifled in their foolish war, nor rebelled against their authority.”
Dots very well looked as if he could murder Anara and burst into tears at the same time. It was an interesting dichotomy, adding one more shade to the picture that had had yet to be fully colored.
“That’s the point,” he pressed. “You’re an independent system. The Empire’s authority means nothing to this place. All of you are a monument to rebellion, and you don’t even know it.” Dots turned away from the ceiling gallery and fully faced Queen Maiara.
But he wasn’t looking at the queen. Far from it. The stranger was looking directly into his eyes.
“Please,” he repeated, and the plea wasn’t for the queen, but rather for him. Garazeb blinked, heart faltering for a second under the man’s golden eyes. Why was he asking him? He stayed as far away from the court politics as he possibly could. He held no power that would be of any use to the man.
(Why did he know my name?)
“If I may, your majesty,” a new voice interrupted. Chava the Wise had descended from the viewing balcony and now held the floor. Garazeb sighed under his breath and tried his best not to roll his eyes. Chava was the last person who should get involved with this.
“Proceed, Chava,” Maiara nodded. The wise woman smiled in that strange, lopsided way that told the entire court that she had some hair-brained scheme cooking in her head. She moved closer to the stranger, her staff echoing against the marble floor like the footsteps of giants.
Arriving in front of him, she stared for a few moments, circling him and mumbling things only she could hear under her breath. To Dots’ credit, he took it all in silence, only shifting away when Chava veered a bit too close for comfort.
“You speak Lasana, as well as any one of us” she said at last. “Curious. May I ask how that came to be?”
Dots’ gaze flicked back to him for a moment, then settled squarely on the wise woman.
“Someone very important to me speaks it,” he said, his voice barely loud enough for the court to hear. “I…I learned it for him.”
“And this person, he is a Lasat?” The question was rhetorical, of course, but the man nodded all the same, his gaze once again flicking to Garazeb. What in the world was Chava leading to?
“How do you know this place will be destroyed?” Chava asked, and what little color was contained in the man’s dotted face drained to white immediately.
“…you will not like the answer,” he said quietly. Chava hummed in thought.
“Maybe not, Warrior, but it is an answer I require all the same,” she replied, and Garazeb couldn’t quite understand why her voice was so gentle. The man nodded slowly, then breathed in deeply, like he was preparing himself to jump off a tall cliff into oblivion.
“The Empire. I was a part of it, once,” he spoke softly. His voice still carried through the room despite its lack of volume. “I was part of the efforts to destroy this planet in my time. I watched, and I helped decimate this place and your people. The Empire made sure that there were no survivors, and I was complicit in that.”
A shocked gasp rippled through the room. Garazeb felt vaguely sick, yet couldn’t take his eyes off of the man’s now hunched form. Pain threatened to completely overwhelm his eyes, held back by only the slimmest thread of self-control.
“Yet you say there is a Lasat whom you learned Lasana for,” Chava pointed out. She seemed completely unperturbed by the stranger’s confession. To Garazeb, that only proved she was completely insane.
“He…” the man hesitated, and for the third time his gaze flicked to Garazeb. “He is the only survivor. After the purge, he joined a group of rebels, a cell that I was tasked to hunt down. That Lasat pulled me out of my own delusion and showed me the truth. He opened my eyes to the utter tyranny that the Empire spreads. If not for him, I’d still be a blind fool.”
Chava nodded, then offered him a smile. “Worry not, Warrior,” she said. “Your words are quite enlightening. These fools don’t like to be uncomfortable, you see.” She gestured with her staff to the elevated viewing gallery. “If I may, could I take a peek inside your head? It will save you the pain of relaying your story in its entirety.”
Dots’ shoulders slumped lower in defeat. “I don’t see why not,” he muttered. Chava grinned broadly and tapped her staff twice against the floor. The stone in the middle began to glow, and by that point Garazeb wanted nothing more than to flee the building. How could everyone be so calm? At best, there was a completely delusional man that had fallen out of the sky, and at absolute worst there was a cold-blooded butcher standing in the Great Hall.
Chava tapped her staff twice more against the floor, then began chanting in the Ancient tongue. Garazeb had no idea what any of it meant, only that dusty words wouldn’t save them all from destruction.
The chanting became rapid in its pace to the point that Garazeb honestly wondered if the so-called wise woman was having a seizure. Golden light burned in the middle of the room, pouring from her staff. Sets of two taps continued to echo in the Hall, adding percussion to Chava’s strange song.
Then, she touched the stone of her staff to the interloper’s forehead, and Garazeb was falling into nothing.

Something about Fiddler on the Roof that you don't actually see a ton of in older shows is that the couples who get married during the show are all so genuinely in love from both sides. (I'm ranting about all 3 of them under the cut be warned)
Tzeitel and Motel were risking so much by going against the tradition and getting married, especially Tzeitel because she was the woman and their customs saw daughters as someone to be controlled, especially through marriage. Tzeitel could have married rich, she had the opportunity, but she loved Motel. As for Motel's love, he sings a whole giddy song about this miracle performed by god himself. "Of all god's miracles large and small, the most miraculous one of all, is the one I thought could never be, god has given you to me" like are you joking? If someone said this to me I'd be head over heels too. Tevye even said "they are so happy they don't see how miserable they are" meaning they are poor and struggle a lot, but they're so happy together it doesn't matter, and that's pretty beautiful.
Hodel went to Siberia to be with Perchik after he got arrested and they weren't even married yet. "Leaving the home I love there where my heart has settled long ago, I must go, I MUST go. Who could image I'd be wandering so far from the home I love. Yet, there with my love, I'm home" She completely redefined what home was to her. He made her grow and opened her eyes and she has dreams bigger than Anatevka now. Perchik's character in general is the only one who thinks women are people (an actual line) so when he asks her to marry him, he wouldn't do that if he saw her as property. In fact, he might have been the only one who didn't see her as property. His song to her was so deeply open that it makes the audience feel the love between two actors that might not even have real love (if performed properly). "I have something that I would die for, something that I would live for too" loving someone so much that you will REFUSE to die because of them is not a trope explored enough, especially considering that Perchik was arrested in Siberia a few weeks later. "Now I have everything. Not only everything, I have a little bit more. Besides having everything, I know what everything's for" SHES HIS CLARITY SHE GIVES MEANING TO EVERYTHING HES EVER WORKED FOR COME ON
I feel like I don't even have to talk about Chava and Fyedka. Chava literally got disowned for Fyedka and she knew it would happen. She gained absolutely nothing from marrying him if not happiness. And Fyedka likely faced a lot of back lash from his peers for marrying her as well off stage/off screen. In the end, he even moved out of Anatevka because he didn't like that the people living there could push people out based on religion and nothing more. They both gave up everything for each other.

I had such a hard time not being afraid (absolutely terrified, honestly), at first, to do the whole "Dual Faith" thing ... I felt, initially, like I did really have to give up my Wiccan practices with Adam and Chava whenever I first started the process of Converting to Judaism- even though I had spent so much time and effort on the syncretism with Noahidism / Judaism; and even despite the beauty of both paring so stunningly, and walking in such a gorgeous lock-step that only solidifies the longer I travel on this path.
And then I realized that, honestly? It's no one's business but my Rabbi's, anyways. But more than that: I'm not converting to Judaism to "Spice up my Paganism". I'm not worshipping another God on the sidelines and making excuses for it. HaShem is the only God to me. And I'm converting to Judaism not only to honor my Ancestors who were Jewish, and because it is where my Heart and Soul belongs- and always has; because my love of Judaism, without knowing it, without understanding that most of my beliefs I've carried with me throughout my life have been fundamentally Jewish, is why I've never abandoned God- even as a Pagan.
I have found where my soul belongs, and chosen my people. I have spent two years already, committing myself to them- and I am spending (at least; at minimum) another two years solidifying that commitment. And that commitment is a permanent, non-refundable life commitment that I take on willingly and with full understanding (and joy), as an adult, of what it means. And I love that. My heart swells with pride, and love, and song, at that fact.
And if people who hate Jews are never going to make the distinction between a Convert and a Born Jew ... And if Born Jews are shamed for making the distinction themselves because Jewish Converts are full and complete ... And if "A Jew is a Jew is a Jew", and that will never change ... Then I should learn not to set myself apart, either; I must also learn (and encourage myself) to see myself as the same, too; not to feel bad, or guilty, or different, or like I'm "appropriating" or don't belong or have space here. Because I do and everything about this faith, and this process, says that I do, and affirms me.
Which means, by proxy, that I (and others) must also accept that I have just as much a right to Jewish Magic, Jewish Pluralism, Jewish Dual Faith, and other forms of alternative, mystical, and metaphysical expressions of Jewishness as any other Jewish Person does within reason (Read: Within the confines of the religion's own rules about these things and how they may be practiced). And I shouldn't be ashamed of that if other Jewish people aren't, either.
This account is run by a Dual Faith «(Converting) Masorti Jew + Traditional NeoWiccan» & «Ancestral Folk Magic Practitioner» with 20+ years of experience as a practicing Pagan and Witch. If that bothers you, don't interact.

I miss Fictif, but it was far from flawless
Tumblr media
I actually got into this series because of "The Arcana" (plus romance games don't often let you play as anything other than a female lead), but I found that even though I liked it's potential, it fell short a lot of the time, either romantically or story-wise. I'm obviously disappointed that I can't customize my character's appearence, but I think I'm in the minority with that one. Allow me to list my grievances and nit-picks with the app.
In general--Female routes are short and underdeveloped. I don't even romance women IRL, but this was just sad. Anika, Tess, Valentina, and Celia are the only female love interests to have solo routes while the rest are in one-route stories--and Valentina didn't even get a route before Dorian took over and effectively stopped updating the app!
"Two Against the World"--As much as I love Nicky, this story turned me off as a gay male player. The writing feels female-coded, and no acknowledgement of the stigma of two men being in a relationship in 1920s New York is ever mentioned. It'd make more sense if the setting was INSPIRED by 1920s New York, but in reality was a completely different location--but that wasn't the case. It felt like a big mifire in storytelling.
"Heir to Love & Lies"--I cannot overstate how much of a disappointment this story was. In both Sergio and Chava's route, Chava starts off very friendly and sweet before becoming aggressive and secretive. This doesn't really make any sense since he's your childhood best friend and (spoiler) he doesn't kill La Dama Rosa in either route. Plus in Chava's route, Aurora becomes very cruel and blames us for getting her family (re)involved with the cartel, even though in actuality she involved us--a point Chava tells us to let go, and then we apologize. For what?! And the end of Sergio's route is confusing, as you go through a dream sequence where he either kills you and takes your money or you get him arrested for killing La Dama Rosa. I think it's supposed to represent your fears and mistrust of him and symbolize how you need to let your concerns go if you wanna marry him, but it feels uncomfortable since it's not explained well at all. It felt like we just saw the future and we said "I don't care." Plus he asks us stuff about kids, our wedding, and where we'd live, and he took NONE of my decisions into account for the final chapter.
"Roadkill"--I was SO confused on what was the result of the wish and what wasn't. Did Douglas' wish create werewolves, vampires, and witches along with zombies? Or did they already exist before the zombie wish? If it's the latter, there's no need to involve zombies. Plus Howie's amnesia arc in the last chapter was rushed and unnecessary, while Poe came off as judgmental and snarky and Tess' route was short and rushed.
"Catch Me in Miami"--I couldn't get into Miguel because he was so obviously a bad boy and I don't do bad boys. Maybe if he was more coy about it like Nicky than being obvious about it, I'd be into him.
"For the Love of Gods"--Great potential, but rushed and I DESPISE how we're forced to romance everyone. Why can't I just choose how many people I'm interested in?
"Ghosted"--Probably my least favorite story. Jesse's ghost story does sound interesting, but his personality and how rushed it was ruined it for me.
"Hollywoodland"--Rushed, but it had great potential.
"Snow Falling in Love"--It felt like a waste not to tie this with "Roadkill" due to Sawyer's involvement, and Elise was CRAZY obsessed with us.
"Courting the Crown"--Beautiful Potential, but again, rushed, rushed, rushed.
"The Last Legacy"--Probably the best plot of them all, but Felix and Sage weren't my type physically or personality-wise; I'd rather go for Felix's dads.
I didn't include other stories because they either weren't finished or I didn't complete them.

Found this thing in my WIP folder. It’s the first part of the idea I had based on the TNG episode where Riker goes on an exchange to a Klingon ship.
Don’t have a whole lot of meat on these bones, but here’s how it would start.
“No way.”
Chyler crossed her arms. “Tom.”
“Let me rephrase.” Tom sat forward in his chair. “No way in hell.”
“We have a contingent from the Swords of Sanghelios stationed here,” Chyler argued. “It only makes sense we’d loan out an officer to one of their ships.”
“We can loan out someone else. There are plenty of other first officers in this fleet.”
“None who have my experience with the Sangheili,” Chyler pointed out.
“Spartan Vale,” Tom said.
“Spartan Vale is not your first officer.”
“She’s also not my wife,” Tom snapped. “And I am not sending my wife to a Sangheili cruiser, alone, for [however long]!”
Chyler set her elbows on the desk. “Tom. It’s not exactly a secret that I’m here because you shanghaied Admiral Hood into signing off on it.”
“I did not shanghai Admiral Hood,” Tom said.
“A good chunk of the Navy thinks you did.”
“A good chunk of the Navy can kiss my—"
“And if you stop me from taking this assignment,” Chyler tapped the tablet in front of her “a good chunk of the Navy is going to think you held me back because I’m your wife.”
“I’m not stopping you,” Tom said. “You’re just declining.”
“I am doing no such thing,” Chyler fired back. “Even if I were, scuttlebutt would have it that the captain of the UNSC’s flagship didn’t want his wife participating in the officer exchange program. That could be all the push they need to reinstate the rules about spouses not being in the same chain of command.”
Tom rubbed his forehead.
“If I were any other first officer, you’d have no reservations about this,” Chyler said.
“Actually, I would,” Tom said. “There are a lot of safety considerations here.”
“Safety?”
“Sangheili ships aren’t built for humans.” Tom looked uncomfortable. “Especially not…human females.”
Chyler gave her husband a withering look. “What do you think is going to happen? A bunch of Sangheili are going to corner me and attack me?”
“Thought crossed my mind,” Tom said tersely.
“None of the Swords here have ever caused problems.”
“They’re on our turf,” Tom said. “And they chose to be here. The rank and file on a Sangheili vessel might be less amenable.”
“I will remind you, only one person in this room has an Expert Marksman’s badge.”
“Right. Gunning down Sangheili on their own ship would look great for our side.”
Chyler scowled.
“And before that look freezes to your face,” Tom said, “yes, I would say this to anyone else.”
“To a man?” Chyler challenged.
“You’re not a man!”
“That’s the point!” Chyler exclaimed.
Tom looked puzzled. “What?”
“Tom, did you see the ship I’d be assigned to?”
“Yeah. [insert ship name here].”
“And whose ship is that?”
Tom stared blankly at her.
Chyler sighed internally. How Tom could hold a thousand contingency plans in his head yet gloss right over a familiar name would never cease to amaze her. “Read.” She slid the tablet across the desk.
Tom began reading. “Mahkee ‘Chava?”
“That’s right.”
“The only female shipmaster in their fleet,” Tom said slowly.
“Yes.”
Tom set the tablet down. “Maybe that’s why the Arbiter thought you’d be a good choice for this.”
“Maybe,” Chyler agreed.
“And you do have more face time with Sangheili than any other XO.” Tom tapped the tablet’s edge thoughtfully.
“But you aren’t any other XO,” Chyler could hear him thinking. She reached across the desk and took his hand. “Tom, look at me.”
He looked up.
“This is a command decision,” Chyler said, “and you need to make it as my commanding officer. Not as my husband.”
Tom chewed his lip. “I really hate it when you’re right.”
“I’m sorry it has to happen so often,” Chyler quipped.
Tom scrunched up his face at her. “Is it too much to say I’ll miss you?”
“I’ll miss you, too,” Chyler said. “It’s only [how long?]. We’ve been apart a lot longer than that.” She rested her chin on her free hand. “You know what I think the real issue is here?”
“Do tell.”
Chyler gave him a sly smile. “I think you’re afraid you can’t run this outfit without me.”
Tom harrumphed. “Sarah’s the one who needs to worry. She’ll have to keep her Spartans in line solo. They’re all scared to death of you.”
“I guess someone else will have to collect Majestic’s contraband.”
The last line is an explanation for my headcanon about how little Chyler has Infinity’s entire Spartan complement running scared. It really deserves its own fic at some point.

I finally got through Saturn Devouring His Son by listening to it while getting my clock cleaned by the Anjanath in the Ancient Forest yesterday. (It was okay, I thought. Me vs the Anjanath was not.)
I will probably do the same thing with Battle for the Blood Moon.
(I sometimes get this sticking point with reading where I am just not in the headspace to want to get to know New Guys and I gotta unstick myself by force. It does help that I am already very motivated to know anything about Mahkee Chava.)

JDCAU Masterlist
JDCAU aka Jester's DayCare AU (very boring name I know....I'm bad at names)
Au rundown
What if, after the events of SB, the fire never happened, Afton is gone (probably...) and Vanessa is no where to be seen. And...what happened to Gregory...? Who knows! But good news is the company was bought out and getting major rehauls to its operations, the virus is gone and things are looking up at last for the Daycare attendants Sun and Moon and all their friends....family?
Basically we are ignoring the fire and the DLC, and Smoon and everyone else is getting a HAPPY ending, with a healthy dose of trauma and other mental health struggles that they and others will have to work through, good thing they have each other and the rest of the plex to support them!
Aliases: In the au they are referred to as they are listed, aliases are for ease of who's being referred to so to not have to always say JDCAU Sun, etc. aliases or specifying by au is interchangable.

Update on the MCA Reborn Saga:
The guards falling into ditches has been more-or-less solved...
...But we have two missing women, and a whole bunch of childhood mortality.
The population has been fucking booming. Between people arriving via the inn and said people marrying the townsfolk and having children, my hands have been full.
I built a massive three-storey building in the middle of town to house the newcomers until they got married and I could find them proper places, as well as two rooms in the basement (windowed, like those townhouses!) for newlyweds.
On the backside of this, I have just finished(as of 12am last night) three admittedly cramped townhouses to house the new families. It's right across from the other two "large" houses (large in this context meaning 4 beds), so we have a street going!
I will need to clean up town centre bigtime... Because wow this shit currently looks jumbled as fucked.
BACK TO THE MISSING CASES AND CHILD D E A T H S .
I swear to god 1/3 children in this village die. THIS SOMEHOW INCLUDES MY OWN. My daughter, Chava, who died going into toddlerhood(probably because everyone kept CROWDING AROUND HER and this pushed her into a place where she suffocated), and Cain, a child, from... ???
I have absolutely no idea.
These mortalities for, whatever reason, mostly tend to afflict sons, leaving daughters behind and giving the town a heavily female-slant.
Speaking of females.
The two missing women are: Marjana, a master mason... And my own firstborn, Eve.
Both of these women were married, leaving their husbands as schroedinger's-widowers, but only Eve had any children-- ONE, to be exact. A daughter named Lejla.
Both of their husbands are also named Jozo. I. That's a connection, for sure.
But yeah, poor childless Jozo had to move out of his and Marjana's old house and into the apartment complex to make way for a new family.
The weird thing is that they still show up on the family tree and in the town map as having homes just fine, but in the case of Eve, I can't call her. I've tried gifting both of their husbands cake, which would normally result in a conception, but both of them refused.
This has been a bug in the game for many years-- Infact, it might actually have more to do with vanilla Minecraft's villager code than being purely an MCA problem; apparently, though they're not supposed to, villagers can sometimes despawn if they're between chunks.
As for a Watsonian explanation,
It's either joining, wilfully or not, the nearby Pillagers, or getting snatched by fae(Endermen, I guess). Or perhaps murdered and their deaths covered-up. 👁👁
But yeah, Suntide is... Interesting. It's gotten a bit more manageable now, and I have finally gotten around to building that armoury! But it really is a neverending hamster-wheel of accommodation.
(Thank god I switched from using Calcite to Diorite.)

Personal Gnosis: Adam As Sacrificial King
I've already talked about Chava. And I spoke a little about where the inspiration for Adam comes from, already. But Adam really gets left out of so much; he truly gets the short end of the stick. But he's such a tragic hero to me, and his story makes me weep in ways I can't really articulate all that well at times.
Adam came to, face to face with the awe of the Universe: A clay figure carefully shaped by adoring hands, and the Breath of Life blown gently into him- a literal kiss from the Divine; his life opening up before him with the very first expression of Love that one can truly perform with another.
He was shown the Paradise before him and given everything within its boundary. But gifts do not come without responsibility- and it was Adam's responsibility to care for Gan Eden; to turn the soil, nurture it, and help it thrive. And thrive it did under his gentle hands- his tender hands and heart and actions of creation and nurturing a constant, loving reflection of the Divine which shaped him in its image.
Adam was content with his lot, happy to toil away and tend to the plants. But HaShem saw a loneliness. One Adam didn't recognize, perhaps, but one HaShem recognized would come eventually. And so he gave to Adam all the creatures of the land and sky- breathing the same life into them, and presenting each one with Clay-stained hands soaked with tears of love, hoping to give him the ultimate gift.
"What shall you name it?" HaShem asked. "Dog", Adam responded. And it was good; a loving, happy friend who would give up its life for him. But it was not the companion that his soul longed for at its very core in a way he could not articulate and didn't even know he needed ... None of them were.
Eventually, exhausted, HaShem could not continue. But it could not give up yet; it was not good for Man to be alone. And so it tried a different tactic: The creation of one from one, rather than one from clay ... Chava. The first birth ... And Adam looked at her- bejeweled and veiled as if a Queen beneath the Wedding Canopy- and said "This one, at last, is Bone of my Bone and Flesh of my Flesh" ... "At last this is she who will shape and excite me just as I shape and excite the plants beneath my care". And HaShem rejoiced and Adam was content again.
Then one day Chava brought him the Orange, and he peeled back the skin and ate of it and was embarrassed instantly- for he understood the transgression; where there was naïvety and innocence before, there was now a harrowing sadness. The kind of sadness that can only come with the sudden understanding of Good vs Evil, and the knowledge that true perfection is (now) unobtainable ... Ignorance is bliss, after all, and knowledge, like gifts, comes with responsibility.
Lying is bad, and so when HaShem comes again they utter the truth as plainly as they can; Adam can no longer be perfect, but he knows Good from Evil, now, and he loves the Divine the way only the first of the Divine's creations truly can. And when they are exiled from Gan Eden- the Paradise he tended with so much love in his own two hands- he grieves the way only a babe ripped from its mother can.
Adam is allowed one joy before they depart, however: Seeds from the Garden to take and plant wherever they may reside. And those seeds become a new Paradise- one that is not Gan Eden, but created in her memory, and honor, and image. One that he can continue to tend and love in the same way, and he is thankful for the salve.
But the sorrow stains his soul, twisting into a darkness that remains always. And sorrow left unhealed turns to bitterness, and Eve's love becomes a gaping wound. And when he lays on his deathbed later, he still recounts the way he failed Gan Eden. The only comfort are the boughs of Spruce, Cedar, and Cyprus he weaves into a crown in his final moments; the gentlest scent of home given as a final balm for his wounded soul in place of what Chava and Seth lovingly sought for him: Freedom from the mortal end she had cursed him with.
Sorrow can be a powerful force to a Spirit- one which can chain them to the Earth for an eternity, if strong enough. And when HaShem calls out to Adam's Soul from beneath the soil where he was created in Gan Eden, it is his Spirit which answers back from the Abyss of Death: I am still here. I cannot go quietly. My work is not yet done. HaShem promises him that his time will come- that his work will be done. But first, he will sleep.
And who better as the Perambulatory Sacrificial King- he whose blood renews the land over Winter- than the first person to ever till it or pluck a bounty from its branches? One whose heart is full of sorrow for a land already lost; who has already given up everything for the land, and is willing to do so time and time again?
This is written explicitly to share with friends who blatantly requested I ramble at them about this topic. It is my own opinions, gnosis, and beliefs tailored entirely to my own practice, based on my own Mythopoeticism and religious Calendar, etc. I'm glad it if inspires, but it not for anyone else to vulture for their own practices.
This account is run by a Dual Faith «(Converting) Masorti Jew + Traditional NeoWiccan» & «Ancestral Folk Magic Practitioner» with 20+ years of experience as a practicing Pagan and Witch. If that bothers you, don't interact.

My Fictif OCs
Tumblr media
Despite needing some help with writing, Fictif being bought and ignored by Dorian was a shame and had potential. Here I'd actually like to post about all the MCs I made for each book:
I was inspired by a post where someone was asking for inspiration for their own OC for FTLOG. I make my OCs original depending on the book. While their appearence/background may change, they're always a cis man with a muscular, thicc build. Here's a bit about them, since I don't have the time to give them SUPER detailed backgrounds (especially since I may end up contradicting canon).
Heir to Love and Lies
Cyrus Yehia--a mestizo man of Colombian, Egyptian, and Spanish descent. I picture him with black hair, a nice tan that gets deeper during his time in Columbian, and hazel eyes. I imagine him as being very self-conscious due to not having been in Colombia for years and now having to be there without his abuela. He's a skilled acrobat, and frequently uses it to observe those he's suspicious of. Being of a religious background, he has an affinity with Padre Joya--but that doesn't make him turn a blind eye to suspicious activity. He has a rocky relationship with the three LIs, but admires Val's genuine commitment to her job, Chava's protective nature, and Sergio's cleverness.
Last Legacy
Capricorn Visser--actually his name is Riven, but he was talking about his zodiac sign when he was brought to the world. He's a caucasian man with blonde hair and green eyes, and usually dresses in green or pink (imagine if Barbie and your favorite male lead in a video game had a son). While he's drawn to Saaros, Florian, and Escell, he eventually (thanks to canon) becomes attatched to our LIs. Personality-wise, his self-esteem sucks despite his looks and intellect, and generally bonds with Anissa and Felix due to them being less wild than Sage--but he's still very drawn to him.
Roadkill
Sterling Alenko--In my world, he has a dream of being a screenwriter, and this helps him to bond with Poe. He's also an African-Aborignee-American man known for his cool, stylish fashion that noteably distinguishes him from the casual dress the rest of the LIs wear (though his clothes are still functional). At the end of the show, he wears a romper and tea shades with a bucket hat. He's quite exciteable and thirsts for inspiration, making him somewhat manipulative with people in order to get information. Though downplays his phenomenal skills as an artist due to being indecisive as a child and his parents pressuring him to stay focused on something. He kinda has an existential crisis when finding out supernatural creatures exist and keeps garlic and silver with him at all times (though being the cool guy he is, makes it look fashionable and doesn't arouse any suspicions). I think he tries to undercut Poe's snarkiness and prevent Howie from being objectified when he gets to Hollywood, and recently Tess has taught him how to write songs! Out of laziness, I use the same OC for Snow Falling in Love (unless I change it last minute).
For the Love of Gods
Valens--He's a muscular, curvy man, inspired by Zagreus and Thanatos from the video game Hades. I'd say he has black hair that goes past his shoulders and hot pink eyes. His clothing depends on what aspect of love he embodies: the pure, kind love that everyone wants, as well as the lust, envy, and jealousy that can be caused be love. Currently in my headspace his "love look" has a golden crown headdress (similar to "Ryoma: Supreme Samurai" in "Fire Emblem: Heroes") with a red tunic that has intricate black patterns on it, making it look like moving art, and a black choker on his throat with a picture of Astrellio. He has a silver ring with a moonstone in it and black thighbands on either of his legs. It's beautiful and a little suggestive, but not over the top. He's known for carrying his golden arrows that bring out people's love for each other. In his current "lust" look, his clothes embody a tighter, more exposed look that show off his chest and legs, as well as embodying a pink and purple aesthetic, his pink eyes taking on a glow. His hair takes on a longer, more windswept look. During this time he still uses his gold arrows, but now keeps silver arrows as well--only these ones cause repulsion. It's a reference to the Greek myth of Apollo and Daphne.
Courting the Crown
Avarice Kahale--Ignoring our father's design, I made him an PI-inspired character, explaining the culture as the consequence of colonialism (probably Italian-inspired). He dresses in blues, blacks, and silvers, largely due to still being in his grieving process and still kinda mourning. This distracts him from seeing certain warning signs that occur throughout the story. He's hesitant of Theo's advances given his past, as well as initially being shocked at Maeve's feelings for him. Gwydion's magical world and Rian's mystery makes him drawn to them in particular. There is an instance where Rian seduces him and drugs him to bring him back to Cetros, but when he changes his mind, it makes Avarice jump to his defense whenever anyone speaks ill of him. Before his mourning period, he was very Shikamaru Nara: very smart, but very lazy.
Two Against the World
Florence Chisholm--originally I was gonna name him Florian, but I think Nicky would enjoy the nod to Italy (he's actually of partial Italian descent), which also inspires him to use his grandfather's surname, Angelico. He's an auburn-haired, grey-eyed young man who's the son of lawyers and his fast-talking nature draws Nicky to him. While not into crime like Nicky, he's very charismatic, cheeky, and optimistic like he is, and matches Nicky's passion.
Catch Me in Miami
Arthur Yakushi-Silva--called Arturo by Miguel, his father is an Brazilian immigrant, while his mother is of Japanese heritage (she was born in Brazil, though), he's a quick swimmer and runner, making him a good partner for Miguel. While hesitant of Miguel's criminal activity, his charm and family does eventually convince Arthur to helo get Miguel out of the game, and this sometimes brings out a darker side to his typically bubbly personality.
Hollywoodland
Rudolph Midthunder--A Native American man who I headcanon as going on to being a successful actor (though he occasionally has to get rid of his iconic glasses). He's big on not ruffling feathers, but has developed a passive-aggressive personality as a result of keeping his head down. He originally attempted to pursue a relationship with Liam and Billy, but when he realized how important he was to Celia, he discovered how much he loved her.
Ghosted
Emrys Hye-kyo--a young man and Jesse's crush. Known for his business-chic fashion, no one would've guessed they would've ended up together. Being very reasonable, he's quick to be scared off by Jesse's ghost and solving the mystery, but as his feelings for Jesse grow, he realizes he needs to solve the mystery for both of their pieces of mind.
Monster Manor
Noah Rhineheart--an experienced ghosthunter/investigator who's actually never had relationships before. Known for his distinctive green hair and grey eyes, the residents of the manor at first assume he's a new arrival. He's a quiet listener to Casamir and Rainier's troubles, which makes him worry that they don't really like him for him, so he adapts to make their relationship more equal and conversational in order for their feelings to bloom.
Into the Mist
Galilei--a young elf who falls for Fin. Hmm, there seems to be something missing. Dorian should finish the story to find out more.
Isle of Enchantment
Aeris Tyrian--a young black man yearning for adventure. Due to having several brothers, he bonds with Rogue over trying to find his sister. He is originally intimidated by Serena, but eventually warms up with her following their adventure together. His interest in fair tales makes him jump between awe and eagerness to caution and skepticism, so it was certainly a growing experience.
Lemme know if you have any questions about them!
