Alright, I'm going to write my own thoughts down on the situation, sorry if this gets rambly
First of all, Shubble is so brave for speaking up, it's really hard for victims to speak up against there abusers in a public setting and she deserves all the respect in the world for it
That being said we do need to be mindful to give her space, this was a really traumatic thing for her and we all need to be mindful of that, give her room to breath.
On the same lines, don't go after other ccs for not ""releasing statements"", content creators aren't companies, there people. Don't get on at them for not publicly supporting Shubble, especially since there undoubtedly doing it in private, which is probably better than shoving it out there for millions of people to see. Let people support there friend in a way they and shubble are confortable with, if shubble wants them to say something or they think they need to say something themselves, they will say it.
It's like Pearl said, just because you don't see something happening publicly doesn't mean it isn't happening
Also, don't jump to call Tommy or Phil or Grian or anyone else enablers because they haven't said anything, they'll need time to process this too, it's hard to find out that your friend is a domestic abuser, let them process this in piece and don't try to cancel them over nothing like a fool. (People like Tommy will need time especially since Wilbur befriended them when they were young and by all accounts manipulated them too)
If anyone of these people have anything they feel they need to say they'll say it when there good and ready, good life tip folks:Don't Harass People. Especially if they have almost nothing to do with this (honestly Saw someone say they were going to go on to fucking RT about this despite him not knowing either person very well, the fuck)
I know why people do it, they want to make sure there favourite content creators aren't also bad, but they are people and they deserve respect, I can garentee you that almost no Qsmp or Hermitcraft or Other MCYT member who knew him stands with Wilbur
(Also if anyone brings Techno into this fuck right off let the man rest.)
Also, some brain dead morons are saying that people calling out wilbur are doing it for clout and that they should have done it sooner, but most of the abuse happened in private, and wilbur manipulated others, many wouldn't have realised anything was wrong and if they did its still better and more respectful to come forward after shubble since its HER story to tell.
(This attack also doesn't work anymore because we have things like tubbos stream, where he actively discourages his chat from treating him like a hero for speaking out, but yeah sure they all don't give a shit about shubble and just want to make themselves look better, fuck outta here)
Now, if your a former wilbur fan, let me make this super clear
DONT WATCH HIM AND DONT LISTEN TO HIS MUSIC
"BuT SePuRaTe ThE ArT FrOm ThE Arti-
Nah. That doesn't work here. You can separate a book or game or movie, you can't with a cc. Its there face, there voice, there personality. Find a different band, find a different CC to watch. There are other options, I know it sucks to find out someone you like did an awful thing, but that doesn't mean we should support those people for our sakes, especially when people were actively hurt by there actions. Trust me everyone, this will get better, things will go back to how they were before
Finally, this should go without saying, Fuck William Gold to the core of teh fucking earth. And any who still support him.
He is a raging egotistical manipulator and abuser. don't blame people for not seeing it sooner, no one can do that. What we can do though is blame people who still wholeheartedly support him and his actions.
He has not "changed" nor will he ever at the rate at which he's going. He's still a egomaniac who's more concerned with saving his image than actually apologising for his actions, even then an apology wouldn't fix all he's done,it would just be closer and a jumping off point to be better, but he can't even fucking do that.
If wilbur does reflect and grow, good on him, but if he doesn't then I can say with absolute certainty we wouldn't fucking miss him.
Fuck Wilbur. Support Shelbym

I don't think Sausage is homophobic??? Where...where did you get that??? Friends flirt with eachother all the time?
ive been meaning to make a post explaining what i mean by this but every time i think of it i just get really exhausted and today is not different so like . sorry. but i will clarify i don't think he is homophobic nor am i trying to call him out as such or say he's a bad person i just think that there's a lot of humour out there that is rooted in like systemic level bigotry embedded into us by society from a young age. stuff like why "haha man in dress" was such a common joke for so long. and i think that while friends can flirt with each other and make dirty jokes with each other and that's totally fine i really do think it would do people some good to look at some of the jokes made in minecraft youtube and think, what is the punchline of this? because if the punchline is literally just "this is a man flirting with another man" or "this is a man implying sexual things about another man", especially when they will not do the same with their female coworkers (though im not saying they should, because i know theres a whole other layer there when you take misogyny and sexual harassment against women into account), especially when they act weird about it when it's done by ccs who are openly gay, ESPECIALLY when they do not actually engage with actual romance plotlines with their characters or take anything associated with actual, genuine gay characters as anything more than a potential butt of a sexual joke... and this happens every single episode, every single stream, multiple times... you should consider if that punchline is symptomatic of something bigger.

Yeah I come from twitter and like, it’s so disheartening tbh. People are demanding things out of people who don’t normally talk about politics. For example, they are demanding things out of Roier, Iron Mouse and Quackity. And they say it’s “oh it’s because we are concerned for them, if they use their platform more people will know!!” Well yes, that is true but there’s a slippery slope between asking for help and harassing CC’s so you can have a morality high ground. People are already shitting on Roier because he commented on fanart instead of rting. Like dude, give him a moment he probably doesn’t know anything that’s happening. And when people try to say this, to give CC’s space to learn, your called a Zionist and get immediately blasted. “It’s a genocide! They should use their platform, their silence is deafening” <<<<legit words I’ve seen. I’ve seen people immediately drop CC’s and said that anyone who likes said CC’s is a horrible person.
yes it's ridiculous to demand every single cc talk about this or that they need to use their platforms to raise awareness about the issue-- this genocide has been the biggest news and politics conversation topic for the last several months since october. awareness has been made, there is no one on the internet rn unaware of the conflict (which, yes, it is a conflict, that does not make it not also a genocide). it is completely unavoidable, so unless you live under a literal rock there is no way you're gonna learn about it from some twitch streamer. and so roier or whoever tweeting about it does not make anyone more aware than they were before. also roier is sick, as is mouse, and quackity does not talk about politics, never has, and never will, so expecting that is ridiculous.
it's ridiculous regardless-- like doc brought up, this shit is blatant virtue signalling and i'm tired of it. it is not every single cc's responsibility to tell you how to feel about an issue or to speak out every time something terrible happens, and frankly it is not your business what they do in support of it or not in private so long as they don't act like a shithead. any of these creators could be donating a ton of money behind the scenes and just not speaking about it because that's not necessary, or they could not be and frankly i don't care either way. content creators do not exist to be twitter users' perfect idols of morality and expecting that of them is ridiculous and clearly all about you (not you specifically anon, the general you of stupid twitter users) and how you desperately need every creator you watch to have the exact morally agreed upon beliefs or else they're morally bereft and so are you.
if a cc acts shitty or says something off, sure, kindly point out where they've gone wrong or, if you don't feel like watching them anymore, don't, but don't act like their head belongs on a guillotine because they haven't talked about/aren't aware of every tragedy going on in the world right now. like you said, people are treating it like a moral high ground rather than the serious political issue that it is. and if you want a cc who's super informed about politics and is raising money for palestine and talking about it a bunch, go watch hasan ffs. maybe you'll actually learn something for once.
anyway everyone stay the fuck off twitter and stop engaging in this kind of guilt trippy bullshit.

AxA gets away with making the same crop tops and pairs of jeans for every CC pack and ppl really pay for it wow
the new pack looks really nice to me at first glance but there's a good amount of recycled items in it. by that I mean, a lot of meshes and textures that are from previous packs they've made.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
items in the new pack on the left beside older items on the right. The hairs are inexcusable to me. the last one especially, it's literally the same hair as the latest one up for free on his page, just with the hairline moved over slightly. Literally doesn't even need new hair chops.
If it was free I'd have no complaints at all, but AH00B is literally making a minimum of $6,444 a month if all of his 3,222 patrons are there for his $2 early access. And if it wasn't for Ayoshi, it seems, patrons would be getting 3 hairs a month only. Can you imagine making 6K+ a month to make 3 small hair edits?
On that note though... AH00B/Austin has had me blocked since I answered this ask yesterday, saying that no one would call him out for still doing early access when it seemed EA had banned it (for fear of getting hate or blocked), without me ever interacting with him otherwise. Ironic, I know. Which was extra strange because Ayoshi and I were having a long conversation about clearing the air regarding the early access situation, and in the middle of that I realized I was blocked. I sat on it a bit, because I have to say that Ayoshi was extremely patient in his conversation with me and I truly believe he wanted to have a genuine discussion. But he is not the owner of the patreon and all the responsibility does not lie with him. Even if they are best friends, Ayoshi is not the one that should be handling this for him. And since then, Austin still has not unblocked me or made any move to indicate that he wants to discuss this with anyone or hear any sort of criticism. He has no obligation to speak with me or anyone else, but I can't understand how the air can be cleared if everyone involved isn't willing to communicate with one another, and Ayoshi was the one to reach out to me rather than the other way around.
I understand having anxiety and not wanting to be criticized. But this isn't drama. These people are running businesses, with a good amount of cash involved, but not wanting to actually manage their business. Business owners need to put out statements and hold high standards to match that of their customers, and if they don't, what happens? They go under. Even if the community itself doesn't matter to you, a time comes when you have to put your big boy pants on and do something to at least protect your income. Either by changing your model and actions or looking for another job. If EA's latest flip flopping made you panic, good. As I said in the DMs, it should be a wake-up call. And if getting criticism against your business is causing you such unrest and anxiety that you cannot eat, sleep, or function properly, you need to pause your patreon and cc making and seek help for you mental health immediately. If that's not the case, and you're still able to function here, you need to get a handle on your business.
I don't see Austin or any of the other top cc creators saying a word about any of the problems with early access, not even to call out the "bad ones" they like to point to so often to deflect from themselves. Within the past couple days, eacc creators have been sharing patron's personal information and setting crazy long "reasonable" time periods, and I haven't heard a word from any of them about it. Why? It doesn't matter to them. The community doesn't matter to them. Just like it didn't when exclusive creators were doxxing and harassing and all any eacc creator could do was say, "well that's awful, but I'm not like that, don't forget early access is okay and we're not scammers". They got more angry about someone making a list of everyone that was continuing early access, which was publicly available on each of their blogs, than they did about the list of patrons' private information being passed around. All that's important is avoiding criticism and protecting their bottom line, and it shows every time something like this happens.
It honestly makes me sad. Many of the creators that have acted the way we've seen in the past few days, are ones I previously admired. AH00B is a creator that I've downloaded almost all the cc of, and his hairs were some of the first I recolored when I first started making cc. I use his and Ayoshi's clothing often in lookbooks. But because I expressed disappointment in him and others over early access, I'm considered a hater that needs to be blocked and silenced. Sorry, but that doesn't work for me. If we can't speak privately, I have to at least make my thoughts known on my own blog.
I don't think users are getting anything better from him now that he's getting paid, than they were when he was creating for free. The content is repeatedly recycled, and not worth paying for in my opinion. There is no engagement with anyone here other than to promote patreon. I don't think he's an active member of this community whatsoever, and like I said in the DMs: these creators are not people I can consider friends or peers anymore. AH00B is not a simblr, it's a brand. Its only purpose here is to make money and nothing else. And because of that, I can no longer support it.
I highly recommend giving the [deleted] a read, because I express more of my thoughts on early access and its effect on the community there. I have no ill will towards Ayoshi or Austin, but I hope that they realize the community is tired of all this. It's been drained dry, and whether any of these creators want to believe it or not, it isn't going to last much longer.
Edit: Ayoshi asked me to remove the conversation between us, so the links have been removed.

//tw: mention of abuse, talk of manipulation, the wilbur situation
Wilbur's apology was such bullshit, but you know what's also bullshit? Some people's complete and utter lack of awareness about what a MANIPULATOR is. Manipulators lie, they gaslight and deceive you into believing them. And it fucks you up so badly that you struggle to remember details or even trust your own gut about a person. That is what Wilbur Soot has done to Shelby and so many others.
Just because a CC hasn't spoken out against Wilbur yet, doesn't mean they support his actions. Wilbur has been lying and manipulating people for YEARS. Shelby said it took her ten months of therapy just to even realize what happened to her was abuse. And you expect CCs who were close to Wilbur to speak up in less than an hour after his shitty apology?
Content Creators are people too, and I feel like too many of us forget that. And they were likely manipulated by Wilbur just like Shelby was. Possibly even on stream where viewers took it as a 'bit'. If you want to drop the MCYT community, do it. Go find something else to watch. But there is no need to shit on and think the worst of creators before you walk out the door. They are still people, and they thought Wilbur was their friend. We don't know what happens behind the scenes so we have no right to judge.
I did not watch Shelby's stream or her VOD, but from what I've heard, Shelby said Wilbur's friends were mostly unaware and not to attack them. I've even seen screenshots of her liking tweets that also say to not attack people associated with Wilbur. They are NOT her abuser, Wilbur is. Give them time before you start attacking them, as they were likely very affected by Wilbur's behavior too. Tommy, for example, was 15 when he met Wilbur. He was a CHILD. It's been almost five years. And he had just gotten surgery barely a week before Shelby told her story. Not to mention, his tour coming up. Assuming Tommy would side with an abuser all because he's yet to talk about the situation shows how much of an asshole YOU are.
And don't push people to tell their story either. You are not owed ANYTHING. Let people speak up when they're ready to. Shelby is already so brave by being able to tell her story. Show some respect by letting others who may have been hurt too have time to process before you hound and harass them.
Have some empathy, treat CCs like actual people, and be patient. Assuming the worst of everyone in life will get you nowhere. It costs you nothing to be patient and understanding.

Idk just think it’s weird that Q hasn’t spoken out 🤷🏾‍♀️. People getting doxxed and mess (from what I’ve seen/ heard mainly Q’s “fandom” (sorry don’t know the right word to use)) for simply just for being excited for the USMP. Like he can’t just tweet “I don’t condone this” or whatever?
Even about the messaging thing. Haven’t MULTIPLE people tried and contact him with no response (besides Karl)? It is weird that a lot of people tried reaching out and not one response back just saying “I’m ok, just don’t wanna talk” or something.
But me personally (who hasn’t had the time to really look into this) I didn’t see it as “drama” I saw it as “hey this is what has been going on, and I’ve seen what has happened to the people in both communities”
Ok so I'm taking this at face value so if I'm interpreting anything you've said wrongly do feel free to correct me. And I'm sorry if my response seems all over the place I just wanted to reply as soon as possible.
I think in general it is unfair to expect quackity to reply. Is it the most emotionally mature thing to do? No absolutely not. And I'm sure he's aware of it as well. Do I think the whole situation is ridiculous? Yeah. Do I think it was the best move on Q's part? Probably not. Do I get why he did that? Also yes.
Anyway, I think that in a situation like this, where dream has said some pretty passive aggressive things about quackity, both on Twitter and on stream even when they were supposedly still friends, looked down on the things quackity has achieved, like with the streamer awards etc, Q actually does not owe dream a response. Replying to the other people who reached out would mean having to actually acknowledge what is going on and it would end with having to talk with dream as now others will have become deeply involved in this mess. And I genuinely do not think that dream is the kind of person that would actually listen to Q if they actually did sit down and talk but that's another conversation.
Dream also is known for ghosting people (like the way ccs on the dsmp couldn't do lore streams bc dream never replied to them etc) so the way he's reacting to this is just hypocritical to me and the way he has handled it is also very childish. He's basically forcing quackity to reply to him through peer pressure and by relying on his fans bothering Q about it it enough that he'll give up on keeping distance. Which also is not an emotionally mature reaction imo.
You're right the whole situation is a mess, I have even seen some people who claimed to be doxxed being proven false, and while I do feel very bad in case there are people that did actually get doxxed and hope they'll be able to move on from it soon, saying that the majority of the doxxers are Quackity stans is untrue as far as I know. Bc I've also seen lots of dream stans spreading misinfo, claiming everyone is suddenly from lktwt, claiming every person critisizing dream is racist.
Arguments about the usmp/qsmp are mainly rooted in the fact that some people get really vile about it and yes I'll admit some people who dislike dream do go a bit far. But at this point the majority of mcyt twt dislikes dream so it isn't just quackity stans.
I have seen people being straight up racist towards quackity bc of it. And perhaps you could argue I'm biased as someone who deeply dislikes dream but I think there's a lot more hostility coming from the usmp side of the argument.
Either way doxxing obviously isn't ok and I don't condone it and I hope everyone that got doxxers is safe and ok.
However I'd also like to add that the only reason this whole usmp Vs qsmp debate has been going on is bc dream couldn't stop mentioning quackity and the qsmp all the time so I'd say dream also has blame in this and I feel he should tweet something denouncing his stans harassing others instead of putting all the blame on someone else since he's so keen on putting pressure on Q.
Also would like to add that no matter what quackity does at this point, things will not change for the better as the situation has been escalated by dream like a lot.

So let me see if I can wrap my head around this correctly. From the perspective of a Queer POC boob:
Ranboo can look at a bunch of threads of, essentially, a non issue of POC twt fans whining and pissing their pants because a closeted Queer person chose to actively help a community he was more familiar with than a community he would no absolutely NOTHING about (and would probably have some horrid ass takes like Tubbo/Phil did about the slap shit, eugh), but somehow feign ignorance and even JOKE about the rapant Queerphobia going on in his community, especially towards one of his supposed "close" friends- not even at least TRY to say to be kind towards him or others, even if you don't like him (Thank You Wilb, god bless) AND have the audacity to ignore the countless people sending him the thread, when it didn't even take HOURS for him to notice those threads by Pissbaby POC, and even address it not once- but THREE TIMES (Discord, Twitter, and Twitch).
But somehow. Someway, Dream's fans (I'm not even gonna dignify with Stans because at that point, this term is just derogatory for me) are the ones who bend over backwards for a white man who what? Isn't labeled? Doesn't even know where he falls on the spectrum, but still tries to at least acknowledge the hardships- no marter how minor- that his fans go through w/ the rampant Homophobia/Queerphobia going on in the world? Even taking pot shots at Chic-fil-A? A company who was outted for actively funding Anti-LGBT groups????
"BUT THE KKK/ISLAMPHOBIC EDIT-" At least that edit was years old and Dream- whether he made it or not- owned up to it and apologized to both groups one way or another.
"BUT THE DRUGS DRUGS TWEET-" Was made months ago and wasn't even making fun of Black People, let alone even targeting a specific Group to make fun of- but he still apologized for anyway.
I feel like I've been a huge fan of the wrong mf, I'll take the white prev. conservative Queer man who actually knows when shits fucked vs the White Queer man who actively was teetering the lines before activing his "Queer" trap card (not even an exaggeration either).
mhm I think what's different mainly is Dream had to put in the work. He was raised with no background in how to be supportive of the type of community he ended up fostering. That being poc, women, nd people, queer people, jewish and Islamic people. But he wants to be so he listens to his fans and he has an open line of communication with them. If you dm him a concern about something serious it's really likely you get a reply directly.
And Dream does respond to everything like literally everything he responds to. And if he thinks an apology is in order he gives one. He did address the edit for eight minutes and apologized for it directly. With the drugs drugs tweet he said he had no intentions of fostering harmful stereotypes so he deleted his tweet he got what people were worried about. Because he listens one thing Dream has always advocated for is the opportunity we as an online international community have to listen to one another and learn from one another.
But Ranboo doesn't want to put in the work. He thinks recognizing that he's white is enough to be anti racist it's not. He thinks being gay means he can't be homophobic it doesn't. Ranboo is 18 and I think he absolutely can grow and improve but it's a little upsetting to see he's so opposed to actual criticism he would let a friend and fellow cc be harassed by his own fans. Like someone tell Ranboo that Dream isn't responding to things because they're being spammed at him but because he wants to foster a better community and knows open communication is the best way to do it.

How do you feel about the beef between Quackity and Dream going on Twitter right now?
does this man ever stop getting into drama/beef/accusations dear lord, christ, and the holy jesus
i have no idea how he still has apologists when he's CONSTANTLY causing infighting with other ccs only to handwave it all with an exaggerated "positive haha don't send hate!!" demeanor. why the fuck were you posting all of that on your public twitter??
look, maybe it isn't super mature for someone to shut down all communications and not reply to someone anymore, but it is in their whole right to whenever they want. maybe quack/ity WAS an asshole for not replying, maybe he has his own reasons, maybe he just doesn't want to be friends with dream anymore, and that's FINE. that's NORMAL.
what's even less mature is deciding to publicize the entire thing all because you didn't get a response in hopes of getting one. i think dream's a massive fuckin asshole.
quack/ity didn't say shit abt or to dream, that's the entire thing, so dream decides to call him out after finding out that quack/ity DOES NOT REPLY TO HIM PRIVATELY anymore.
in the same tweet, he talks about his dox, his stalkers, etc., in the same breath he complains about how quack/ity doesn't wanna reply to him, and how he is so heartbroken about it but it's all a misunderstanding i swear!!
"quack/ity is a good person but he has been ignoring me!! (psst hey fans go harass quack/ity for me so that he feels like he has to respond to me to get it to stop.) BUT HE'S A GOOD GUY I SWEAR!!"
now his fans are conflating the stalking, the doxxers, with quack/ity's fans, because it was done in the same breath, and what other possible reason could dream have had in mentioning them if the doxxers and stalkers weren't quack/ity's fans??
jesus christ actual teenagers (ran and tub) were more mature about drifting apart than this

I hope that this is the last thing I ever post on this drama, but i just dont understand the negativity against Scott with the whole Ectoslab situation
Like yeah, I do understand being disappointed in him for not doing anything against the harassment towards Ecto, that's a criticism I do actually agree with. But people are almost treating it like Scott was the only cc ever involved with Ecto to drop them, saying that he did it to "save face" and "not get dragged into the drama". Everyone seems to forget so far Scott is the only cc we know to have expressed his support for Ecto during the harassment campaign and Scott wasn't even the closest CC to Ecto, Sausage was.
Yet Sausage didn't make any sort of statement on the situation (as far as I'm aware), nor in support of Ecto nor even about cutting ties with them and I haven't seen anyone critizicing him for letting down an artist he was so close to.
Other CC dropped Ecto too without saying a word on the matter. Scott was the only CC to express his support towards Ecto that we know of, and only retracted it upon finding out Ecto is a proshipper, retracting his support because he doesn't support proshipping. He wasn't trying to save face, he simply found out an artist he worked with and with who he would openly interact (especially in the early days of Pirates SMP) turned out to behave in a way he didn't approve or supported and decided to drop them.
Tumblr media
He was trying to be a good person help someone without knowing or understanding what they were being accused of. And that has led to people taking his decision of retracting his support for someone because he didn't support what that person stood for and equating it to him trying to not get himself involved in the drama. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if people would have hated on him too for expressing that he didn't want people harassing Ecto (tho still I still wish he would have addressed it at least) and saying that he supported proshipping because of that. Why? Because that's what happened to the artist Foxxology, who was friends with Ecto, initially supporting them until they found out what the accusations where about, at the time this was going on and when they expressed despite not approving of Ecto's stance, they didn't support the harassment either people interpreted their distaste for unfair harassment as them supporting proshipping and also getting dragged into the hate which was the final push for them to leave twitter (they had been planning on leaving for a while, this incident was just the final straw, not the main cause).
(Also please they've already moved from this so don't go bothering them about this)
Lemme ask: Would you all be judging Scott as hardly had he stayed silent on the matter like every other CC did?
You can dislike Scott, in general or because he handled this specific situation. But I ask you to please verify all the information from all sides, not just here but in general. I too was on Ecto's side for the first few days but decided to check on my own if there was any proof to the allegations against them. It wasn't my intent to prove they are a proshipper (hell I was hoping it was stuff being taken out of context or something from so long ago Ecto no longer agreed with that) and I found out the proves for the allegations causing me to block them and delete anything I ever reblogged from them from my blogs. I still considered the harassment unfair, but also didn't want to suport a proshipper. My opinion didn't change upon seeing a google doc explaining things from their side when they say the characters had been aged to 18 (because I know that's not true) and that they continued to defend their stance saying that is about more than just problematic pairings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First screenshot is from 2021, Ecto was in their very late 20's to early 30's back them

You don't have a respond but since you said you were okay w/ people sending asks...
I think the problem with the dteam comes down to them being immature and a bit egotistical... And it makes sense! When you blow up and have everyone telling you how great you are, it makes sense. I still think Dream makes great videos, and he seems like a good guy, but this is just one of those things. Seeing some of the clips where he says he thinks noxcrew is biased just makes him seem like egotistical, like it really is all about him and not that 10 people dc. Whatever... I think he def needs to work on that.
They absolutely also have to have SOME responsibility with their fans. The fact that they don't discourage this at all, and even fan the flames is kinda what gets me. You can complain and be upset, whatever, but when you do you're aware that people are going to get attacked to 'defend' you, right???? Idk, if I heard ANYONE was getting called slurs even somewhat on my behalf I'd say something immediately. I DOUBT they don't know, and I get that it's scary, but it just... It just seems supremely shitty to me. And it does look bad when they're proper adults especially.
It's so easy to keep your opinions to yourself until you're in private.... You can complain and vent to your friends when people won't get harassed as a result.
Plus the only thing that made this hilarious for me was the fact that Wilbur was absolutely miserable and in distress for this happening and it was amazing. Dream? Scott? Noxcrew??? Nah, I just saw Wilbur stuck in his own personal hell. GG tho good luck with that
The fact that Minecraft Monday had ACTUAL money on the line and people take this more seriously..... It's sad but just so so funny. People are so out of touch.
The worst part about big fandoms, or stans, like Dream's is that even if they and his friends need to hear this criticism they won't bc everything negative is taken as an anti who is awful.... I think Scott and Noxcrew definitely should have some sort of intervention. They have the right to when they're literally being called slurs.... It's ridiculous that it's gotten to the point where Scott acknowledged it would happen no matter what he did. Just really sad.
But yeah. Bottom line, the dteam make good content, but they NEED to grow up and mature before it completely ruins everything... This is one of those cases where all of the attention has made them worse, I think. In comparison, it's so easy to be mature about these things. Ccs are upset with the decisions, but they shut the hell up and move on bc it's just a game and they're meant to be having fun. Wilbur was genuinely distressed when they said they'd be doing ace race again, but he didn't say anything after complaining in the game chat once.
And if dteam doesn't see how complaining about all this is fanning the flames.... Yikes. Yeah, they should be able to talk about whatever and for it to be fine, but it's not. So they shouldn't. Their fans, or at least some of them, will take it too far so it's their responsibility to negate that. I often think of streaming as babysitting or teaching, bc that's really what it feels like sometimes. Chats gets put in time out, literally, it's pretty funny when you think about it. But dteam have rarely, to my knowledge, ever even really 'disciplined' any part of their fanbase seriously. Which sounds ridiculous, but it's true. I've been watching Ranboo for awhile and I remember him having to work on making his chat respectful and everything, and even then it's not perfect! But at least he did something!
Just the very clear difference between literally all of the other ccs involved and dteam says enough, I think. Either everyone needs an MCC timeout (which they'd probably blame on Scott and Noxcrew 'having it out' for dream as well) or they need a dteam MCC timeout if they don't shape up. I've watched mcyt for awhile, actually watched mccs not as long, but I never saw this much drama about mcc before dream and sapnap starting shit talking the event. They literally command an army and don't even realize. When you have that much influence.... Everything you say matters.
Anyway someone should bring back Minecraft Mondays I'd probably cry laughing, and it would remind me of the old days :')
If you read all of this.... I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I usually don't do this lol
anon ur based and ur totally okay! safe space, safe nice discourse area with the little bumper teacups set up for u all. handing u a nice gumball if u would like one. i saw someone tweet “we need them” with a picture of the silver shittalkers team and i was like. oh cool so we’re being completely devoid of self awareness now i see how it is

Reblog art for the love of fuck.
Hello and welcome to the (obviously unofficial) MCYT art archive. This blog is made for the sake of supporting artists (including smaller artists) by reblogging their art, as well as to archive art even after blogs are deleted or wiped due to how Tumblr works. I may not be able to fix the reblog/like ratio all on my own, but I certainly want to do my part. This is ran by @dyketubbo. If you want your art taken down, either because you don't want it to be archived or because you just don't like me you can just dm or shoot an ask and I'll delete the reblog.
Triggering content will be tagged as [trigger] tw. CC art will be tagged with cc![channel name]. Characters will be tagged as c![character name] unless in a situation where a character is either referred to with a different signifier (such as the origins cast being tagged as o![character]) or when a character doesn't share their name with the cc or is not played by one (such as sam nook for the former, and grumbot as the latter). Both cc and c art will be tagged as their channel name without any indicator.
Duo names will be tagged like [name]duo (such as clingyduo, alliumduo, etc) unless they break from that mold (such as flower husbands) and group names will be tagged however they are most commonly tagged (benchtrio, sbi, etc). I will only use duo/group names for duos/groups that either currently or used to consistently interact. So. One-off duos not included. Art with the full cast of a series will be tagged as [series name] ensemble.
Series will be tagged either as their acronym (Dream SMP - dsmp, Origins SMP - osmp, etc) or as the title if that's what they're more commonly refered to or if they don't have a proper acronym (Lifesteal SMP - lifesteal smp, Philza's hardcore world - philza hardcore, etc). If pets are included, depending on if they're a Minecraft pet or a real life pet they will either be tagged as [pet name] [series name] or just as the name of the pet.
Fanfiction, cosplay, music, and whatever else isnt considered under visual art (digital/traditional art) if posted on or linked to on Tumblr may also be reblogged. Art is tagged as fanart, fanfiction as fanfic, music as music, etv etc you get it.
Restrictions on what I'll reblog/accept as submissions under the cut. It probably seems long but that's just because I talk a lot for the sake of clarity. It's the autism.
There will be some art I won't reblog for a variety of reasons. I won't reblog art of irl ships, and will also not reblog art that crosses cc boundaries, as I believe that the belief mcytblr has that "the creators aren't here so we have no restrictions on what content we can make of them and their creations" is.. weird and disrespectful. I will say that I'm not against shipping characters when ccs have made it clear that they dont care, but there may be less shipping content on here if only because my romance repulsion fluctates. Canon character relationships like the flower husbands or the beeduo marriage aren't counted under this.
Finally, I will be critical of who I reblog from. Such as proshippers, active boundary breakers, poppy people, or people notable for harassing others and making others uncomfortable. I will also say that this blog is ran by an inclusionist. I support aspec people, mspec lesbians/gays, endogenic systems, and the mogai community.
I will also not reblog art that either whitewashes poc or draws fat people much skinnier than they actually are. I also will not reblog art of Quackity with darker skin than he has, because many poc have talked about how it is actively disrespectful for artists to act as if all you need to do to signify that someone is Mexican is to make their skin darker. I will not reblog sexual content because I'm a minor and in many cases it's kind of just weird. I do not consider tits or artistic nudity to be inherently sexual, but I will definitely be critical.
I will not reblog art of creators who are genuinely horrible people, such as callmecarson. Schlatt is a gray area, I will reblog content with his Dream SMP character but there will likely not be much of him as a cc because I feel like toeing the line of whether people can tell if you're genuinely a shitty person or not is. Uncomfortable. Due to Dream's many issues there will likely also be less fanart of him as a cc reblogged. I don't think either of them are horrible people but I also think they're bitchass white boys with the latter especially being way too irresponsible with his platform.

Same anon who wrote about Q disowning dream(team) bc he's problematic and therefore Q has cut ties with dream
Concerning the qsmp/usmp thing, it's been noted that Quackity was working on qsmp for about two years whereas people noticed that dream started talking about a multilingual server during the squid craft event or afterwards. (There was a post about on here or Twitter, can't remember. It included screenshots of tweets from both parties.) Which like, who cares, at the end of the day, there's now two multilingual servers, which is great.
The issue a lot of people are having is when Q announced his server, dream's response was to go "Oh cool but I'm doing something very similar and that's gonna come out soon and I'm not copying btw :)" so instead of allowing Quackity his moment to shine, dream says like five nice words but then makes most of his tweet about him. Not only that, but to make his tweet about something very similar. It's giving tactless. (Dream needs a super professional pr team or something cuz this guy needs some help with his public image like stat.)
Also, dream claiming to be the "first" (and I completely agree with that other anon who said first is basically a trigger word at this point, and aren't there already other multilingual servers?) when Quackity already had his server up and running with actual players whereas dream is still developing his server and is still trying to recruit people. Like, if your server isn't near being completed, why mention it during qsmp's server announcement/server opening? What purpose does that serve? And also, knowing his "friend" Quackity is bilingual, why wouldn't dream ask him to join his server in the making? Unless shit was going down from before the qsmp server announcement... suspicious.
That alone would lead me to be petty so I can only imagine how Quackity feels. If I were Quackity, I'd feel like what dream is doing is purposefully hurtful and I wouldn't care too much if he was being harassed for it bc you reap what you sow. Also, this is like normal for dream no?
Another thing to point out is that announcing a server similar to what another "friend" is doing is something he could've totally avoided. Shouldn't dream be concentrating on dsmp season 2? Like where is that at? Where is this new revamped server that he had everyone rush to complete their lore for?
For the record, I'm not a dranti, I literally just don't care for him at all, one way or the other. From what I've seen, I'm thoroughly on Quackity's side. No one should be getting harassed and doxxed bc it's honestly not that serious, and even if it was, that's something for Quackity and dream to sort out between themselves. Anyone who feels coocoo enough to harass cc's and their loved ones needs to do some arts and crafts or something, pick up a less dangerous hobby bruh cuz this ain't cute
i definitely can see his side as well in this whole thing, like especially if u dont know how to tell someone who is being super rly that you dint like them anymore 😭 or that u just dont wanna be friends lmao. and then in qs head it was probably like "whatever, its not my problem he came up with this idea, i will just do what i planned to do" i guess bitterness mightve probably fueled it all like i can definitely see how q thinks hes justified in thinking dream made the problem himself and it has nothing to do with q. like i said tho if dream didnt say anything on that first day q announced his smp it would have been worse when he eventually launched it i think.
ghosting being ghosting, im a ghoster too its a problem, but there comes a time where u have to get over urself and tell the overly nice clueless guy that u dont want his flowers anymore. i think dream tried his best in an awkward situation, while quackity preferred to just say "not my problem so i dint have to deal with it" which in my personal opinion is shitty af, but some ppl wont think so 🤷🏻‍♂️

can i ask why you're a c!dream apologist? /genq :0 bc last i checked hes done lots of. extremely questionable things canonically, and a lot of c!dream antis actually think ccdream is lovely :D!
- please don't misconstrue this as hate or anything! i do just genuinely want to know :00
ok this is late and got long so its going to have a read more but lets give this a go !
first of all: "he's done extremely questionable things" yes he has ! and so has more than half the server !!
listen this isn't whataboutism, im not saying you can't criticize c!dream for x bc this other character did y, criticize him ! analyze him and tear him a new one !!
however we probably are going to disagree on what his wrongdoings are and if they are justified/necessary/understandable/etc, and i suppose thats where the 'apologist' comes in right? like as much as people want to argue that it means a person excuses everything and anything the character has done, that is hardly ever the case. mostly bc for that to happen you have to be defending the stalest most boring piece of wonder bread character to have ever graced the earth, you are severely misinterpreting the character OR youre lying to yourself and everyone else.
that being said, in my case for example i think exile was inexcusable, morally reprehensible and a particular low point for c!dream's character, i don't defend or excuse this. on the other hand his opposition of l'manburg and the deaths that it resulted in? not so much.
now of course ppl are going to disagree with this pov and thats okay ! if you think everything hes ever done is unjustifiable and evil more power to you, i passionately disagree with you, but you are entitled to your opinion. its when ppl get sanctimonious and hypocritical that i get upset. bc they'll curse c!dream apologists out and harass us then turn around and be an apologist for another character with just as long a war crime history like, lets be consistent at least.
this is a long winded way of saying im a c!dream apologist bc 1) it probably doesnt mean to me what it means to you 2) i am very passionate about his character and truly find him an interesting sympathetic character.
also to your last point ! i am aware a lot of c!dream antis like or are at least perfectly civil with cc!dream but the fact that you have to clarify that lets me know you are at least aware that it is a problem with c!dream antis to some extent so yeah.

okay but you’re so right about this fandom and the weaponizing their minority status
like, yes poc creators have a hard time and they deal with a lot of shit, but the way to help them is not bringing other creators down. it’s to support poc creators! and support poc creators because they’re good at creating and they make good content!
my least favorite thing people do is go on twitter, and list poc streamers solely by their minority status, it feels like you should only watch a streamer because of the boxes you can tick off for them and that’s so fucked up. i would absolutely hate if I were a cc and someone said “oh watch her she’s a queer woc” like I have nothing else to offer? bro at least talk about my content a little bit?
also not to mention manatreed is definitely going to be either dream, another well known cc, or one of Dream’s very close friends, so it’s not like he randomly picked someone and went “even though you never made any content, you’re a white guy so I’m gonna add you onto the dsmp!” like, can we use our brains? or any critical thinking?
Sorry for this rant btw, but you’re just so right and it always pisses me off how people treat minorities in the first place. i know a lot of people on twitter is doing it with good intentions but it’s weirdly dehumanizing to act like you should only add people to dsmp based on their skin color or something
This was my original point, and I actually have a post in my drafts somewhere about it because it's been on my mind for a while.
I am Asian. Being Asian is inherent to who "Angel" is and while I didn't really accept that for a long time, I am very much in tune with my culture at this point. And yet this hyperfocus on identity that Twitter has developed still drives me mad. This notion that someone is definitely inherently more knowledgeable on a topic purely because of their skin color; that you should support someone purely on the basis that they're [x] - it's always bothered me.
And I understand wanting to lessen the inequality, I really do. It's why people who need money often include what minority groups they're a part of - it's a way of saying "society is working against me and thus I would appreciate your support to combat that." I don't think it's wrong necessarily and I'm definitely softer on it than I used to be. But it still does bother me for all the reasons you stated.
Reducing me to your perception of who I am feels gross even when it's my minority status. Racists are also fixated on the fact that I'm Asian because it's the "other" part of me; I should be allowed to be whoever I am, all things included. (I'm using myself here as an example because I don't wanna drag other people in or use examples I can't directly speak for - but y'know, Tina should be allowed to be Tina and not just Asian woman. Sniff should be allowed to be Sniff and not just nonbinary. They're worth watching for what they do, not just because you want to stick it to society.)
And the way it goes is so wild to me too. I mean, look at how they treat Hannah. I understand that discrimination due to race and gender are two incredibly different things, but you're willfully ignorant if you're gonna pretend that Hannah hasn't had to combat a whole lot of shit to get where she is - including pretty recent on-stream harassment from another cc who turned out to be a total creep. Gaming is a white male dominated industry and Hannah - though white - is a woman. That's something to consider. But they don't give a shit because they don't like her and she won't fold.
(And the framing... they're acting like Dream saw Manatreed and said "you sir, are white. welcome to the SMP." like if you think that poorly of him then I think you're spending your time wrong.)
No worries for the rant - I agree with you. It does feel dehumanizing and I don't know why they're so invested in it. Like, I guess I kind of get why - they really flock to their community due to bigots - but I've faced my fair share of racism and I would rather no one - not even people doing it to hype me up - start with the fact that I'm a woc.

I just can't believe that there are people who still believe every single word a public figure/celebrity says, most of the time they LIE. Did C lie about some fans harassing his bf? I have no clue, but if someone was indeed harassing him, that is just not correct. There are crazy fans in every fandom. If people still believe every post or tweet is posted personally by the celebrity, they are just naive and gullible. I don't believe in CC, but that's just my opinion. I do believe D is closeted and just because he posts something or says something nice about someone doesn't mean he actually thinks that, it is most likely PR, just like the unnecessary refurbishment of RR's house. People should wake up and not believe everything they see on the internet. Side note: I couldn't even get mad at yesterday's show because everything is just so ridiculous and bad-acted that it's funny.
At this point, if you aren't side-eyeing basically everything that comes out of Hollywood, you are just willfully ignorant. Its all calculated to a specific end and they don't think twice about contradicting their past selves if it serves a current narrative. Case in point: C saying towards the end of glee that he had no idea who D was when he joined the show when there's a whole interview of him talking about seeing D in AVPM way back when. Like season 2 back when. That's just a blatantly obvious, easily disproved and stupid lie. With regards to this podcast mess - I haven't listened to it and I wasn't on tumblr for most of glee's run so I wasn't really privy to a lot of the goings on that happened bts. Can I believe that there were people who crossed the line of fandom and behaved like assholes? Yes, definitely because it still happens. That kind of behavior is not exclusive to the glee fandom. You will find people like that everywhere. Whether or not they did exactly what he said they did - only he knows that for sure. Its a weird thing to bring up now 6 years after the show has ended as it effectively (and unfairly) paints a bullseye on a specific group. I'm not sure what he was hoping to achieve with this. The CC people that I've interacted with here are lovely and would never in a million years even think of things that horrible. Keep your thoughts and opinions to your own little blog and you don't tag the person in your post - its as simple as that. Who are these nobodies who have that much power that they think they can get a complete stranger fired? If they did indeed behave this way, then that is appalling, completely batshit crazy, and unacceptable - they need professional help. Its not funny, its scary. There's no need for that ever. At the end of the day, its his life and what he does with it and who he spends it with is his business. There's a pretty simple solution if you don't like the person anymore or don't like what they are doing: you can simply stop following them. You don't need to engage in some sort of bizarre smear campaign that has real world implications. Remember all those toxic twitter teens who were ready to draw and quarter D a few months back over that nearly 10 year old pic of him or a comment just as old? The awful things they said about him, the nonstop tagging of him and the flooding of every one of his SM posts with their bullshit? The "you're dead to me if you choose to remain a fan of his" ultimatums? I do! That's the kind of stuff that drives celebs away from SM and ruins it for the rest of us that know how to behave. You're creating an issue where there wasn't one and that's sort of what C did here with his comments.
From my point of view, the issue with C and D's SOs isn't so much that they are with other people, but more to the kind of people they seem to be. I don't know much frankly about W. He's not shoved in my face 24 hours a day and a hovering annoying presence at everything C does. You'll find more pics of C solo or with AF than you will with W. That's why he bothers me less and why D takes more criticism on this. But from what I've heard about him, he's said and posted some pretty awful things in the past and if people choose to not like him because of that, that seems valid to me. As fans, we can only judge celebs by what they say and do and our perception of them - its all we have. My dislike of M is not because she's with D and I'm a super jealous old spinster. And its not because I'm a self hating misogynist. Its because of the way she clings to D and his career while doing nothing on her own, the way she uses him for her own selfish purposes, and the hypocritical way she claimed to not to want to be in the public eye but yet shadows D at every event he goes to because it means cameras and photos and recognition as his wife. That tacky awful commercialized wedding was the last straw for me because I haven't been able to hold my tongue since. And if you follow someone long enough, you can get a pretty good idea of when they're being genuine and when they're bullshitting you or in D's case, when its him posting something and when its a member of his team. For example: where he supposedly proposed. By lying about it - either then or now - you've created a mess that didn't previously exist. Its a fairly simple straightforward statement that most people get right the first time: where they asked their SO to marry them. D says Japan, RR says D called him saying he wanted to do it when he was outside a bathroom in Miami. So the answer is either a) D b) RR c) none of the above. I'm going to go with c, thanks. Unless RR is going to come back and say that D decided to ask her in Miami but then waited until they were physically in Japan to do the asking, I'm going to go with neither of you are right and the reason D blew off the question every time he was asked about it by saying he didn't want to bore us is that you hadn't come up with a good enough and believable story yet. Much like the engagement ring that hadn't been locked down until RR could find a designer willing to make a ring with a diamond big enough to soothe her ego and give off the pretense of being legit. He probably put more effort into that than anything in D's career in the last 5 years. Do I think that RR did help D at one point when he was starting out with gigs, jobs, things like that? Sure. No problem. And maybe they were friends and liked to hang out and jam together. But do I also think that D has outgrown him personally and professionally at this point? Hell fucking yes. He needs a grown up to take his career to the next level and RR is not that person. He completely failed to capitalize on all the awards and well deserved hype D got from ACS and for that alone, he should have been fired. He needs someone who wants to do the work because they understand the rare find they have in D and that their job is to promote him, not themselves. The IOU ep was nothing but a self serving hour of D trying to make RR look and sound like he's not a complete waste of space on top of getting a cut of his fee as his manager. If you look at D's page on the very sad H/yphenate website, you will see the 3 biggest roles D's had are not listed. No Blaine. No Hedwig. No ACS. But oddly enough, a mention of his record deal with Columbia, which I thought went kaput ages ago and his hosting of the Teen Choice Awards in 2013. You know - the big times. Why? I'm going to assume its because he got those roles without RR's help so he doesn't want them there and what does that tell you? It should tell you everything. This is why your manager should be your manager and your friends should be your friends. Its like a parent who wants to be their
child's friend instead of the authority figure they need.
Too much of D's SM has the look and feel of pr and useless ads and just flat out nonsense and that falls squarely under RR's domain. He's a 34 year old man with an established career, not a 21 year old newbie just starting out but his SM doesn't reflect that in any way, shape, or form. The sooner D can cut his losses and break free, the better off his career will be, the more adult he will sound, and the happier I will be.

i don't know how well worded this is, because ive been trying to think of how to phrase it correctly but i'd like to say first that i don't exactly agree with a lot of the way dream handles things despite me being a big fan of his, but i can understand it?
a lot of the time the people who initially bring things are either heavy antis who dug through the trenches to find dirt on him or fans of his who bring it up and are concerned about supporting someone who does whatever it is they bringing up. for the most part the people who so adamantly dislike him don't tend to listen when proven wrong nor do they often take his statements at face value. whats the point in convincing people you've grown if they don't bother listening?
also a lot of the qrt's end up full of death threats, doxxing, gore, and other stuff and i imagine the primary reason dream posts things on his private instead is because the people on there won't do those things. he's aware his tweets will get screenshotted and reposted, so i think he figures those who want to see it will.
again i dont fully agree with the way he goes about things, and i do wish he'd step back sometimes but also it's hard for me to fully blame a guy for lashing out with how often he's harraseed a dehumanized. i can't say i would react to it all that well either yknow?
i can understand that, as well as acknowledge I don’t know what it’s like to deal with that amount of attention or hate.
but also, if he did genuinely think “what’s the point in convincing others you’ve grown if they don’t bother listening?” then… why would he bother to try anyway? for the concerned fans, maybe, sure! but I also feel like it shows that he does still see a point in trying to convince others outside his pre-existing fan base, at least a little. i can’t say for sure.
with the hate he receives in qrts though, I guess my thought is why does he still publicly tweet on these issues then? while I don’t exactly check, if he gets those things when he’s publicly and poorly addressing an issue and is fine enough with it to continue that behavior, then why would it be an issue for a well-intentioned and prepared statement which paints him in a MUCH better light? the people who have issues with him interact with his account, that is where they would see it best— not a screenshot on a fan account.
i can understand that he’s human and could be lashing out and I can sympathize. but also, he is a public figure— part of fame is learning how to deal with that public and constant harassment because no one is universally beloved. for all he says people should just block and ignore hate on his boundaries or for all he says people should learn to put down their phone and log off, he’s terrible at following it himself.
he is still learning how to deal with it, I recognize in the grand scope he’s still a very new cc/public figure. but, he went into this with the clear intent to gain this fame and so far seems to be refusing any help in learning how to deal with it, like for example: a pr team/advisor. (honestly it seems like he doesn’t have a clear idea on what they actually do, but I don’t blame him for it bc that’s very much the general public thought on it LMAO, I’m biased bc I’ve studied it to know what it’s Actually About)
i just…. when you have a following, especially of his scale, you have an obligation to take responsibility for your audience. you have an obligation to act in a way to reduce harm. yes, he can’t control every single person, but he can change his own actions to try to prevent those single people from behaving poorly. as much as I agree it may be unfair, he has the obligation to be the bigger person here and not engage— not like he has, at least. like bitzel said, vague tweet if you must. screenshot it. whatever! do some kind of behavior to LIMIT that harm. this is ultimately something he signed up for and something I think he’s not really succeeding at
i guess, my point is that my sympathy for his plight does not exceed my expectations for how he should behave. i sympathize, but I don’t believe it excuses in any way his actions and that he’s solely in the wrong and needs to stop, re-evaluate, and move past.
