#so like i think the common designs of just like a cloaked shadowy figure are nice n all #i think they can be decently creative in their own right #but i wanted to rlly mix things up a lil #ofc i wanted to take it in the furry direction to some degree #but i also wanted it to tow the line between natural and otherworldly #i wanted the 'decay' of him being a split entity to be very present in it #most prominantly being the hole in his chest revealing his heart #i tried to have a lot of holes. signs of things disentegrating. something torn but in an unnatural way. #i wanted some high contrast with the 'void' creeping around his tail; like the end of it was burnt #the yellow markings are all vaguely eye spots #the arm . it didnt quite come thru perfectly but i wanted the upper arm to be like; wirey. a cluster of ropes. #and the hand itself being armor like (decaying around the edges as well; as if it could grow further at any moment) #i went with a snake/slug body bc he only has the hand; no other limbs #i think if i do another draft i might have the hand just floating; not connected at all #ugh i dont wanna design an arthur but i do have an idea for how i wanna display John's vision on him.. #like a flat hologram of eyes hovering just infront of his face #i will say i rlly like when people draw these two with like john and arthurs hands physically overlapping.. its rlly cool... #malevolent #malevolent podcast #john malevolent #art

i think it is probably a sign of the process of healing from the trauma of having every word out of my mouth ripped apart, mocked, and treated as an unforgivable offense warranting Extreme Rage and Vitriol, and having it explained to me in excruciating and hateful detail why my thought processes and basic turns of phrase and the things i thought were worth expressing were stupid worthless gibberish, unbearable to listen to, and the root of everything wrong with society, by redditor-ass faux-intellectuals in my life growing up for being awkwardly phrased/not concise enough/mildly whimsical, that some days i'm proud of my meta and some days i can barely stand to look at it. but god that does not make the second one more fun.

chapter 1/1 - the cucco incident.

So, last night and this morning had been… messy to say the least. Twilight refused to elaborate until he was ungrounded.

Everybody was surprised, shocked even to see the prince tumble out of the portal, very roughly yes, but here with them nonetheless.

So yeah, a bit shocking.

Everybody in the chain (by everybody, Four, Wind, and Hyrule) Immediately started drowning the royal in a lot of questions. Such as:

“How did you not die? I thought you did die for how hard you hit the ground-”

“Wait- wha-”

“If you’re here does that mean..” Gasp, “Tetra could join us?!”

“I don’t know but-”

“How do you feel? Are you hurt? Bleeding? How many fingers am I holding up?”

“No I’m fine-”

“What were you-”

He made a big X with his hands, getting their attention, before beginning to sign, the yelling having taken a bit of a toll on his throat.

‘ Wait, pause, rewind. Shut up .’

“Yeah?”

‘ Did you just say I had a chance of dying ?!’

Other than the whole ‘how in the name of Hylia did he even get here?’ , Twilight thought nothing of it really, if they wanted to stay together who could blame them? In fact he was proud of them for denying Hylia’s word, and risking their lives just to stay together.

Of course everybody felt like that, they were only a little more surprised is all.

So obviously, they’re going to bombard them with love (Listen he did it with all the chain, Link and flora are no different-)

Now, Twilight was not one to cause chaos (Oh yes they were-).

However.

When put in a situation where chaotic activities are a way to get to know about, or bond with  the two newest members of their growing group?

No doubt he’s doing it.

watched sing 2 and i was not disappointed because i did not expect anything.

now that i can read english fluently i tend to prefer picking up the original versions of books written in this language when i am able to... but tlt's going to be an exception because the official french translation looks absolutely delightful (from the excerpt i've checked out, at least) and i want to know how the meme references have been adapted. also i have actually been to the offices of the publishing house that got this series' rights (actes sud) during two internships and know some people who work(ed) there as well as at another publishing house that's part of the same group and located in the same building and... it's a bit weird -- especially given that i haven't contacted them again in a while -- but i still kinda feel like supporting them by choosing to read the french edition, yknow?
