You were finally captured. It took three months to get where you are, standing before you are the Archons who participated in the hunt, and now they will execute you.
"Before you here, is the Impostor that stole our beloved deity's face" Barbatos started, looking down upon the people, "As if you didn't" you said, barely a whisper "Would you like to repeat that, thief?" The Goddess of Justice whispered on your ear as she pulled your hair, "I SAID, AS IF YOU DIDN'T" you repeated, the crowd gasps because they are very very shocked because they gasped.
Also this moon cake im eating doenst taste good.
"What?"
"You were born from the desires of people, meaning if Decarabian wasn't a tyrant then you wouldn't even be born!" The crowd screams defending the Wind God, "Oh come on! He stole the face of his DEAD friend!" You yelled, "Don't get me started with how he abandoned his nation for the tyrants to just invade Mond. Lady Venessa freed Mondstadt from the Lawrence clan!" Technically, Venti did help but you need to get the crowd on your side.
"That's enough," Ei said approaching you as she unsheath her sword, "You also abandoned your nation! What? because your sister, THE TRUE RULER of Inazuma died?" At this point everyone is appalled.
"T-"
"Don't even get me started with you, you rat tailed motherfucker. You literally made a deal with the fatui, you knew Childe was gonna summon Osial and you let it happen. More so, you faked your own death because you didn't feel like ruling over Liyue? Or was it because you finally understood that you're just incapable of being an Archon? The only reason you survived the Archon War was the adepti and yaksha that you expended!"
"..."
"And who's to say you didn't commit any crime?" Ei said after the shock had dissipated, "What crime!? How do you think a mere mortal were to steal a God's face!?" You screamed through a horse voice, now you've got everyone talking, (like the jury in the Ace Attorney.)
"Is your god suffering from sever little-bitchitis to the point you'd hunt anybody who look REMOTELY similar to them?"
The Archons were stunned, it seemed like you made everyone hold their breathe. "Such blasphemy won't go unforgi-" "I don't need your forgiveness, you cockroach arthritis-suffering bitch," you cut Zhongli off.
"Hey now...let's not say something will regret, huh?" Nahida said, through the familiar gentle voice, "I won't regret anything that comes out of my mouth." You replied, not finding any reasons why Nahida should be insulted.
"By far, the only Archon that ever helped the Traveller was the Dendro Archon! And she was even locked up!" You said, "You, Barbatos, you just avoided any talk about traveller's twin. Morax, why did you sign a contract that silences you about their twin? Do they scare you that much? Are you really that weak and pathetic?" You said apathetically and sarcastically.
"I am under a contract, and I must abide by that contract," Zhongli replied with a more... confident form, you can't wait to crush it, "Didn't you also sign a contract with the mortals of Teyvat that you'd never hurt them? WELL WHAT ABOUT ME? WHY AM I AM EXCEPTION?" Technically, he didn't, but if they were gonna use lies and deception to win this argument, you might as well do the same.
"Because you're nothing but an Impostor, not even worthy to be called human" Ei said, striking her blade on your thigh, you gasped in pain. "Hah! And what are you? You were an Impostor that created another Impostor because you can't handle the guilt of being one!" At this point it was useless to argue, they were pissed off but the people? They don't believe you, but they've also lost faith to their Gods.
And so, what did you achieve? Death and your name on the history textbooks saying that you were the reason that Teyvat rebelled against their Gods...
So, are you ready to resurrect later in life to attack the Archons (verbally) once more?
Next chapter coming out idk when

SPOILER ALERT
Tumblr media
Soojin Kim (the sister) told Jewoo Park (the leader of Cheonliang Fam) that Vin went to attack the shaman Shinmyeong Cheon because of what she told him regarding his mother.
Tumblr media
The Cheonliang Fam rushed to save Vin (or prevent him from killing), but actually only Vin managed to even get inside Shinmyeong's residence and did some minor damage.
Vin told them that he had to do this for his mother, whom the shaman killed, or else he wouldn't be able to live with himself.
The shaman's men, particularly the yakshas and the Gwang Yoo trio whom Shinmyeong hired, were stronger than them.
Tumblr media
Even though Vin managed to surprise Beolgu Lee, who suspected the teenager's lineage as Mujin's son, he was still no match for Beolgu.
Just as the kids were cornered (Mary even had to carry Vin on her back), Seongji came and saved them. They ran away, but followed by Beolgu, Gwang, and Jaesu Noh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Apparently Seongji got there after Soojin told him what happened, and Seongji burned down his house, then decided to face Shinmyeong once and for all, even if he had to die.
The Kojima brothers were overwhelmed by Seongji's actual strength, and Shinmyeong was worried.
Tumblr media
Especially since the young King of Cheonliang told him that he wasn't actually indebted to the two yakshas, or the Gwijeon Brothers (Ghost Legend) as Gabryong and Baekho used to call them. Yes, Seongji's actual teacher was none other than Mujin Jin: Vin's father.
Tumblr media
Then, supposedly delegated by Charles Choi to help Shinmyeong "clean" the mess, James Lee arrived at the scene.
Tumblr media
To Shinmyeong's annoyance, James came instead of Gun. Additionally, instead of fighting Seongji right away, young James offered Seongji a position as the manager of the budding four crews: someone who was better than "the two people I got first" (was James referring to Gun and Goo?). And was hiring a minor always in the plan from the get-go, yet James was willing to hire Seongji instead?
Seongji refused, and he and James dueled, each topping the other, from broken collarbone to fighting with one's hands out of one's pockets, speed against speed, strength against strength.
Tumblr media
James saw that he and Seongji fought in a similar way: tough and powerful, with only differences in experiences.
The duel was so fiercely brutal, until in the end Seongji remembered how Mujin told him to believe in himself, literally his entire body (and his "cool" hands and feet, especially-- this is why he called Vin's eyes "cool") and won against James.
Tumblr media
In satisfaction, Seongji reminded James that there was someone who surpassed him (and that person was Seongji).
We saw that the jacket Seongji tied around his hip was Mujin's all along, just like the daenggi (ribbon) of Vin's mother was also Mujin's.

thirst
bosacious who loves manhandling you with his four arms, using you as his own personal cocksleeve
geo yaksha who creates small pillars out of geo, putting it in your hole and making it vibrate, controlling when you get to come. he ends up overstimulating you all the time
pyro yaksha who enjoys jerking you off/fingering you whilst you whimper n’ whine that it’s too much
hydro yaksha who ‘accidentally’ splashes you with water. you know damn well it’s only an excuse to take your clothes off and have her way with you
general alatus who pounds into you with great speed, he also covers your body in hickeys and other marks. sometimes if he’s feeling risky, he’ll put his mask on, loving how you somehow clench harder around his cock when he does so
I- HOLY SHIT IDK WHAT ELSE TO ADD BECAUSE THIS IS JUST GOLD
[cw: smut, consensual stuck in hole trope (menogias), sub reader]
Tumblr media
No but listen. I think Bosacius would love touching you all over. And it wouldn't be any trouble at all, he can just wrap one of his hands around your waist and lift you up like a cat. And he would enjoy groping you all over. And his fingers are so big and thick that it just stretches your insides. He doesn't mean to be rough but he's just so big everywhere and you're so much smaller than him that he can't help you. Oh and the fucked out face you make while you beg for more when he bounces you on his cock like a ragdoll and his other hands are around your other parts...
Menogias is tough and stringent, and you sometimes feel like he's the oldest instead of Bosacius. He's always pushing you to work hard which you appreciate about him. He's the reason you constantly have your hole plugged with geo vibrators that resonate at his command; why your underwear is wet and leaking with your fluids from orgasming again and again. He tells you that you need to have a body as strong as stone to persevere in the battlefield. Which is why he trains you by creating geo structures that tightens at your waist, leaving you stuck in that verticle position while he plummels into your hole on the other side. If any of the other yakshas happen to walk in on your training, he doesn't mind allowing them to take your mouth while your ass jiggles from the sheer force of his thrusts.
Indarias gives me the vibe of someone who is mature and older sister-like. She cares about you deeply and her touches are deft and kind, always thinking about you and prioritising your needs. It seems that she knows how to solve your problems or at least calm you down so you go to her whenever you're stressed. But she isn't always gentle. Little birds need to fly on their own. How are you going to survive if she doesn't push you further? When you're overstimulated, shivering on her lap from your nth orgasm, she whispers in your ear a "one more for me?" and you just can't refuse her when she speaks in that tone.
Bonanus is kind but cheeky. She apologises for accidentally splashing you with water, and you would sigh and slip yourself out of your clothing knowing damn well she's watching the water drip all over your dips and curves. When you allow her to have you, she goes straight to licking at you. Did I mention that she's so skillful at her tongue? As a hydro wielder, she knows her fluids and she can make you cum in a matter of minutes. The worst part is that she'll leave you disoriented and confused after your orgasm as she thanks you for the meal and skips along while you sit there naked and with your fluids slipping down your thighs (she always comes back with an extra pair of clothes, don't worry)
Ah and Alatus, Alatus...how did he turn from a shy virgin to a possessive beast? As much as he cares about the other yakshas, he loves you and feels like he needs to claim you sometimes. Alatus' expertise is speed and he has no problem slamming into you hard and fast once he gets used to the act of sex. His words are gentle and he caresses you so tenderly but he wrecks your hole so brutally. There are days where he gets so overwhelmed with karma and needs something to take it out on. He's petrified when you offer yourself but when you reassure him over and over again, he relents and fucks you like you owe him money. And his stamina is insane when he gets into one of these moods so expect to be dripping all over with cum. There's a part of him — his true self — that is ridden with worry of hurting you but when you stare at his masked face (which somehow makes this situation even hotter) with lust-filled eyes, drooling as you beg him for more, he thinks you'll be fine for a little while longer.

ʸᵒᵘⁿᵍ ᵃᵈᵉᵖᵗⁱ, ᵈᵃʸˡⁱᵍʰᵗ ᵃʳʳⁱᵛᵉˢ !!
Tumblr media
being xiao's little sister includes...
you're quite literally one of the few good things in his life.
and sometimes it's painful for him to look at you and all because he can think of are the time the two of you spent with rex lapis and the other yakshas.
whenever this happens, he's really sorry for unintentionally neglecting you and leaving you to fend for yourself when he knows you get over-anxious when he leaves you alone for a long time.
so, he usually drops you off at one of the adepti's domains, usually cloud retainer because she talks so much that it's enough to keep you occupied.
however, these little "breaks" that xiao has from you doesn't last long because zhongli is usually on his ass about leaving poor you all alone with cloud retainer talking your ears off until they bleed. and sure, it may not sound like a big deal, but zhongli doesn't want xiao to look at you and get war flashbacks every time.
in fact, zhongli snitched on him to the traveler, so the traveler and paimon could escort him to pick you up from moon carver's domain.
and lord, they were so shocked to see you because you're a copy paste version of xiao, but with a completely different personality.
you're soft spoken, have the personality of cotton candy, and literally a sweetheart. and the traveler was standing there looking at xiao like wtf's wrong with him avoiding you like the plague.
paimon instantly loves you because you let her talk to her heart's content and appreciated her opinions and thoughts, and made it known that you do, unlike xiao, who doesn't say much about what he feels.
and man, traveler's so upset because they can't understand what about you reminds him of war.
and it's not like they don't notice how you look at xiao all wary and nervous because they do. they see it, paimon sees it, and it's like everyone else can see how awkward you are with xiao. everyone except xiao and at some point traveler wants to rip their hair out.
it takes zhongli to come out and say it outright to xiao that being reminded of the war when you were hardly involved in the actual bloodbath is unfair to you and him because you weren't the cause for any of the emotional turmoil he has, yet he's making it your problem.
xiao then looks back on why exactly he's been avoiding you, and somehow it all boils down to him thinking that he's not good enough for you to be your brother.
like he wasn't the same person who wiped off ink off your face when bosaicius drew on your face during naps, cut you fruit when you were hungry, carried you on his back when you were tired, let you put flowers in his hair, helped spar with you so you could protect yourself without him, and just about raised you.
you remind him that he practically raised you since you could remember, and there's absolutely no way that you could hate him.
xiao cries a little about it because he feels horrible for treating you like you didn't exist and not showing up when you called for him when he'd show up for just about everyone else.
but after that whole ordeal, xiao becomes an attentive brother pro max 2000
literally, he'll be on your back so much you get tired of him, but even then, he's not going to leave. the two of you become the definition of two peas in a pod whether or you like it or not.
nicknames for xiao (there's not a lot lol): xiao, 兄弟 (brother), my hero, best brother, and big bird (he calls you 小鸟 (little bird)).

☆ ENCHANTED, featuring xiao — you were enchanted to meet him; and he was too.
contents. fem implied reader but can be read as gn, reader is referred to as “big sister” and “miss,” fluff ! ! , xiao is kinda ooc, cringe tbh >_< a chance encounter leads to so much more ♡ word count. 2.1k.
notes. welcome to my first ever writing post on tumblr !! i ofc had to start off my debut with my favorite person in the whole wide world, xiao ♡ this took awfully long to write ( and is an awfully long piece of writing itself ) so i apologize for the delay; but i hope that you will enjoy! :3
Tumblr media
i was enchanted to meet you. it was your favorite sentence in your treasured childhood storybook, titled 'the heart of qingxin.' written by an author from qingce village, it was about a princess who fell in love with an adeptus after he saved her.
as a child, your favorite stories were ones about the adepti, and about falling in love. they were your two biggest wishes in life; you've always dreamed of meeting one of the illustrious, illuminated beings some day, and experiencing the feeling of being in love. you longed to journey out from your hometown in order to find the love of your life, just like in the stories. it was safe to say that you were, quite frankly, a hopeless romantic.
unfortunately, it wasn't that easy to live the fantasy life. for one thing, your job at the bubu pharmacy meant that you were often stuck behind the shop counter; and for another, you've never actually met anyone that you deemed fit to fall in love with… you were also quite picky when it came to love.
but those troubles didn't stop the loom of fate to weave your future. for one day, not long ago, you ran into a small accident that may have led to a newfound friendship; and perhaps, in the future, that friendship could become something so much more.
the first time you met the vigilant yaksha was like something out of a fairy tale.
it was raining that one november morning; the fateful day that doctor baizhu asked you to accompany qiqi along on an herb-gathering expedition. you adored the little zombie girl, finding her quirkiness cute; plus, it meant that you could finally go out and explore the world! at least, part of it… either way, of course you accepted.
although, halfway through the journey, things went sideways. firstly, you’d forgotten to bring rain gear with you. qiqi offered to lend you her jacket, but it was too small anyway; so you just smiled and told her you’d be alright. unfortunately, you ended up catching a cold… secondly, as much as you love your little zombie companion, qiqi was absolutely terrible at directions; and you, having never been in the area before, didn’t know where to go either.
but the worst part of it was, the two of you just somehow managed to run into a group of treasure hoarders.
qiqi fended them off as best as she could, and though you tried to help her, you were just a healer; there was nothing quite else to do except toss a few poisonous concoctions at them. it worked for a while; but soon you were getting tired, and the treasure hoarders just kept coming.
“sorry, i think we’ve bit off more than we can chew with this one…” you muttered.
just then, a flash of green light sparked in the corner of your vision. you turned your head to see a figure shrouded in a dark aura, fighting off the treasure hoarders. you were mesmerized at how well the person fought; it was out of this world, supernatural almost. as if that person wasn’t really a human, but rather some sort of celestial being.
soon after, the treasure hoarders, scared out of their wits, scattered, leaving only you, qiqi, and the mysterious figure behind. with his back turned, the man removed some sort of mask from his face.
“i-i, thank you, sir,” you began, not sure what to say. “my companion and i, um, really appreciate your help…”
he didn’t answer. as you were about to go on, you suddenly felt a bit dizzy. you stumbled and had to lean against qiqi for support. the zombie girl was confused. “is big sister… okay?”
“i’m not feeling very well…” suddenly your vision spun, and a pair of golden eyes were the last thing you saw before you blacked out.
the sun was low in the horizon when you awoke. blinking, you slowly scanned your surroundings. you were laying on a bed in what seemed to be a hotel room. confused, you sat up and tried to pull back the blankets.
“woah there, take it easy, dear.”
you turned around with a start. sitting in a chair by the window was a young woman with brown hair, smiling softly at you.
“h-hello,” you stammered. “where am i?”
“you’re in wangshu inn, in the dihua marsh,” the woman replied. “my name is verr goldet, i’m the boss here. how are you feeling?”
“fine, thank you. my head hurts a little, but other than that i’m alright. um… is qiqi doing alright? and do you know what happened to me? i don’t remember much..”
the brown-haired boss paused, then replied, “the adeptus who brought you here told me that you collapsed shortly after a scuffle with the treasure hoarders. it seems that you were possibly poisoned- but don’t stress, it’s been extracted from your system. and your companion is perfectly fine. the little girl is helping with some tasks downstairs.”
“oh, okay…” you glanced down at your forearm, which was wrapped with a bandage. then your head popped up in surprise. “wait-! did you say an adeptus? was it the green-haired man? do you where he is?”
verr goldet chuckled. “ah, i do. he’s up on the roof’s balcony right now, if you’d like to go see him. just be careful, he can be a little… reserved around mortals.”
"i see… thank you for the warning. maybe a gift might make me appear more friendly?" you wondered out loud. "m-miss goldet, do you know what his favorite food is…?"
she laughed in reply, “as a matter of fact, he surprisingly has quite a sweet tooth. he loves almond tofu, to be particular. you can ask our chef downstairs to make a plate of it for you.”
“r-really?! thank you so much, miss goldet!” getting out of bed, you shook her hand, slid your shoes on, and hurried out of the room.
a while later, after discovering your way around the inn, you managed to find the kitchen. chef smiley yanxiao, a gruff but quite friendly man, prepared a dish of the sweet dessert for you to bring to the adeptus. with a rushed thanks, you couldn’t help but walk as fast as you could up the stairs to the roof level of the inn.
the moment you stepped on the balcony, you saw him.
turquoise-streaked hair, flowing in the wind. traditional liyuan clothing with ornamental details; sleeve of white silk on one arm, an intricate green tattoo on the other. the horned mask hanging from his waist; terrifying, yet awfully mesmerizing at the same time. everything about him was just that.
you couldn’t see his face from where you were standing behind him, but you imagined him to have a soft, handsome face. timidly, you approached him. “h-hello again…”
the man turned around, and you almost dropped the plate.
simply put, he was beautiful. strong, yet not too masculine facial features, a tiny purple diamond in the center of his forehead, and his eyes. oh, those eyes. they were a glowing shade of gold, like rays of sunlight peeking out from the clouds, or a rare piece of cor lapis found amidst the stone.
those amber eyes blinked at you before he replied, “oh, it’s you. you’re awake.”
“yeah, it’s me!” you grinned at him, suddenly not shy anymore. “i wanted to thank you for your kindness in saving me earlier,” you held the plate of almond tofu out to him. “chef yanxiao and i made this for you, i hope that you’ll enjoy it!”
there was a moment of hesitation before the man tentatively took it from your hands. “…there's no need to thank me, but i appreciate it.”
you laughed and turned to look up at the sky, where the sun was slowly fading into the night. “hey, you’re an adeptus, right? specifically, you are the yaksha guardian of dihua marsh, the conqueror of demons?”
“hm. i’m surprised you knew.” he muttered in reply, swinging a leg over the railing as he moved to sit. “what about it?”
“nothing bad, i promise!” you shook your head. “it's just that i, um, have read a lot of fairy tales about the adepti before… i never thought i'd meet one in person! and especially the conqueror of demons! you’re, um, one of my favorites from the stories. so, uh, apologies if i get overexcited around you, i'm just a bit in awe, ehe…"
"..."
"oh no, did i say too much? sorry, i’ll shut up now…" you covered your face with your hands, embarrassed.
it was silent for a few moments before he replied with an amused chuckle, “nobody has ever said that about me before. out of all of the humans i’ve met, you’re certainly the strangest; but i suppose you’re not all that bad, mortal.”
you weren’t sure what to say to that. “t-thanks, i guess? b-but anyway! like i said, i’ve read a lot of stories about the adepti, and, um, one of my favorites has an adeptus that reminds me of you…”
“mm.” was all he said in reply. but he scooted over a bit from where he was sitting on the balcony railing, inviting you to take a seat next to him.
all was quiet except for the rustling of the autumn leaves in the wind.
"have you heard the story of ‘the heart of qingxin?'" you asked him softly.
"the title sounds familiar, but i don't believe so," the adeptus replied. "go on, enlighten me. i'm curious to know what it is about this story that reminds you of me."
despite only knowing the man for barely a day, you were already feeling so happy talking to him. it was comfortable to know that he was willing to have you around. it seemed verr goldet’s warning wasn't quite true, after all.
“well, the ‘heart of qingxin’ tells the story of a kindhearted princess,” you began with a small smile. “she was just as beautiful as she was kind, and the kingdom adored her. one day…”
soon enough, you were reciting the entire story by memory. an hour felt like minutes, and before you knew it, the moon was already high up in the sky by the time you had finished telling your heart out.
"...and then they lived happily ever after!" you announced the last sentence of the story with a laugh. “so? did you like it?”
you turned to face the yaksha, who was still staring softly at you. he seemed at peace, something that you hadn’t seen in him before. perhaps it was the story? or maybe… the one who told it? your heart did a little butterfly flutter at the potential thought.
“i apologize, i’m not the best at expressing my emotions,” the adeptus started, fidgeting with the fork in his hand. “but… it was a beautiful story. i suppose i realize what it reminded you of… the adeptus who rescued the princess, it’s like how i saved you this morning, am i correct?”
“mhm!” you blushed. “sorry, i’m a little bit of a romanticist… my friends always tell me ‘you’re such a hopeless romantic, y/n-!’…”
that was when you realized that you had never introduced yourself properly to him. “oh-! i’m sorry, i never told you my name! it’s y/n. and you are?”
“you can just call me xiao,” the yaksha replied.
“xiao,” you repeated to yourself. the name felt perfect rolling off your lips. “it’s nice to meet you, xiao!”
for a second, you swore you saw him smile. “if you awake to a knife at your throat, if monsters dig their claws into you, if death comes knocking at your door… call out my name. adeptus xiao. i will be here when you call.”
“and… if i ever just want to talk to you? will you be here?”
“why would you… oh. you want to repay me for saving you, is that right?” xiao sighed, turning away. “look, you don’t owe me anything. saving mortals from the hands of darkness is my duty. but, if you really just want to 'talk to me,' i suppose spending some time with you once in a while wouldn't be so bad." he leaned closer as he said those final words.
then, with a cloud of green mist, he was gone.
you were left standing there on the balcony, staring up at the moon, with the moments of this fateful night lingering in your mind. you would never forget the memory of his golden eyes, the softness of his voice as he wished you goodbye.
i was enchanted to meet you, indeed.

I'm so mad about this year's lantern rite lmao. It was centred around Menogias, the Geo Yaksha. Xiao's dead comrade and close friend. His official title was General Kapisas. He's based off Sun Wukong.
And there was nothing about him exept for a few random lines? Barely anything? I don't understand why. This was what Xianyun said about him- completely randomly- and then went back to talking about something else???
"He possessed a singular talent for clothing designs. He had an exquisite eye for not just fabric selection and colour pairing, but also for what accessories could best accentuate a garment's overall styling." (Dialogue one.)
"At a gathering of adepti, Bonanus (hydro Yaksha. She and Menogias went mad with Karmic Debt and killed each other. She and the Pyro Yaksha, Indarius, were presumably close friends. Bonanus' official title was General Chizapus and she seemed to be a gentle person.) once complained in secret to the ladies in attendance that the skirt Menogias made for her was too long and impractical, lamenting that it would only hinder her in battle." (Dialogue two.)
"However, when one asked Menogias his opinion, he remarked that the train of the skirt would serve to enhance her adeptal countenance by exemplifying a certain elegance. Menogias was that type of person. When it came to topics relating to garments and accessories, not even Rex Lapis could best his stubbornness." (Dialogue three.)
AND THAT'S IT?? Menogias designed Zhongli's outfits. Menogias fought in the archon war and was one of the Yakshas that sealed Guizhong away when she passed. He was one of the central figures in Xiao's life and Xiao grieved him terribly after he died. His death along with his siblings' deaths impacts Xiao till this day. He was like a brother to Xiao. Xiao talks in a quest (I don't remember which, sorry) about how Menogias once mentioned wanting to live a peaceful mortal's life-but in the end Menogias lost his sanity for the sake of his nation and his people and killed his sister, someone he held very, very dear. It's tragic. It's heartbreaking. His karmic debt took over his mind and destroyed someone he wanted to protect and live a mortal's life with. Menogias is such a wonderful character? When I saw in the livestream that the main lantern was Menogias, I gasped and sat up. Yaksha lore?! Menogias centric lantern rite?! Instead we dealt with Gaming's fucking family problems. Why couldn't that have been a sub-plot? Why didn't they use Gaming's stubbornness and passion as a parallel to MENOGIAS' stubbornness, passion and ferocity of both mind and body? Why???? Zero stars, I'm admittedly biased as fuck. I love the Yakshas and I wanted Yaksha lore- and this isn't like a "ugh I didn't get what I wanted" thing it's a "this year's lantern rite had so much potential that was absolutely wasted"
Like sure, the Xianyun-Shenhe convo was comedy gold, Gaming running to his dad and hugging him was sweet, but? Couldn't that have been a sub-plot? Menogias was this year's Mingxiao lantern. I don't care if they executed it badly and just brought him up via long winded exposition- the fact that barely anyone knows about Menogias is so sad and it could genuinely have made for such a good story? The fact that Xiao didn't even attend a festival more or less dedicated to him and his family? When "Lantern Rite Festival is a festival celebrated every year, on the day of the first full moon to commemorate heroes of the past."
I wish Xiao could have at least seen the Mingxiao lantern from afar. I wonder how he would have reacted to watch the people he protects honour someone he loved so much. Would he have cried? Could we have gotten a scene where an adeptus comforts Xiao? That was his brother.
Xianyun hangs out with her children, Zhongli with Hu Tao, the Fontaine cast randomly drops in which was kind of nice to see since Furina (<333333) came along. Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper (I cannot believe they got NPC treatment, what the fuck) hung out but Xiao was alone until the traveller releases a lantern with him. On lantern rite. Which is a festival more or less meant to commemorate him. He got what, a minute of screen time?? Two? Three?
In Xianyun's story quest (and obviously this is a spoiler for her story quest) we see just how much the traveller misses their sibling, how desperately they want them back and how much they bottle up their feelings. Xiao must feel the same, right? I can't imagine how guilty he must feel or how much he must wonder what life would be like had they survived. It would even have tied in with Gaming's story- how much he'd want his family to accept him and be there with him on lantern rite. Why didn't we get something about these three? Why was there so much focus on a random four star (I'm sorry if you like Gaming, I love his playstyle but I really don't give a shit about the character).
I feel like they really just want people to pull for Gaming and Xianyun, I really can't explain why they (imo) fumbled this so bad. I expected so much after the Fontaine AQ but man this was so disappointing it literally killed by desire to keep playing the game. I'll just do my dailies and log off, HSR welcomes me with a much warmer embrace

𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪, 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗬 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪 !
˖˚˳⊹ knowing they're characters in a game feat. xiao : heizou : venti : kazuha : aether (5wirl ♡) x gn! reader
˖˚˳⊹ genre: crack
Tumblr media
˖˚˳⊹ 𝗫𝗜𝗔𝗢
In all honesty, he couldn‘t care less, though he wouldn't mind getting picked but not that he cares, but I mean he wouldn't mind, but LIKE NOT THAT HE CARES OKAY. Something he's confident in is his abilities so whenever you decide to go challenge the abyss he's sure he'll be on your team. Lets hope you'll use Bennett though, not that he needs him of course. He's a strong fighter after all - and a damn yaksha have some respect.
Tumblr media
He'll never forget the moment when he got his first banner ever and you decided to pull for him all happily, building him right and doing immense damage - and then, Ganyu came along. LMAO IM JOKING PLEASE DONT HATE ME XIAO ENJOYERS I USE HIM ALL THE TIME IN THE ABYSS MUCH LOVE.
˖˚˳⊹ 𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗭𝗢𝗨
(This plays after he gets released lmao) He's desperate for your attention, or maybe he's just bored and wants to have fun. Just waiting for the moment until you're logged in and hoping you'll put him on your team today because if you do you can be sure he's going to chant his voicelines like a prayer and show off his dramatic idle animations like the drama queen he truly is.
Tumblr media
Because Heizou seems it's necessary to show you he's worth of being put in your team. Whatever the case, he'd hope you put the right artifacts on him so he can properly do damage. He's a four star after all, he can't afford to have crappy artifacts so please build him right !!!
˖˚˳⊹ 𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜
You just logged in and then he realized, you were preparing for the Kazuha rerun you couldn't shut up about. So Venti figured exactly what that meant, he's gonna get picked today baby. I mean in all honesty, what's the valley of remembrance (anemo artifact domain) without him. Like he makes it so easy for you to just crush that domain over and over again.
Tumblr media
So now he's confident in his abilities, waiting until you pick him and who would've known, you did. So, lets go, he thinks to himself. E + Q and standing in front of the black hole he created like a lost puppy while patiently waiting for every enemy to die. EHE.
˖˚˳⊹ 𝗞𝗔𝗭𝗨𝗛𝗔
Kazuha not getting picked to join the team? LMAO good joke. no really, great joke even. He doesn't think he won't get picked, he's honestly certain he will since he makes the game so easy with his crowd control and overall abilities. The only thing our dear Kazuha is concerned about is who he's going to be teamed up with today.
Tumblr media
He knows the Shogun and him make a great team, but in all seriousness, he can't stand her that much. Kind of sad he doesn't have much of a saying when it comes to picking out the characters that will join him in your team today. Wait? What was that? You're not going to use him because he makes the game 'too easy'? There's no possible way in pleasing you smh.
˖˚˳⊹ 𝗔𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥
There is something Aether will never lose, hope. Whether it's about finding his sister or getting picked by you to join the team, he'll always hope without fail. Maybe today you decide to go back to the roots and use him, he can make a tornado after all and his voice actors seem like great people. Oh, he forgot, he's still being held captive at Level 40.
Tumblr media
Maybe you'll like him once a new element comes out for him. There are already three and you still don't use him? No, he thinks to himself, he's putting all his hope into the pyro element. That's going to be his time for sure. Wait! You're picking him?! Oh- you're changing his element to geo because you need him for a puzzle - but I mean it's something, right?

How to Turn Sun Wukong into a Woman
No, this post has nothing to do with the 72 changes. It is a byproduct of my recent "How to Kill Sun Wukong" article. It details a ritual (from another famous vernacular novel) that secretly steals an immortal's spirit, tethers it to a straw effigy, and then kills the target by shooting it with arrows. In that article, I introduced a story idea where Zhu Bajie and/or Sha Wujing could race to stop the ritual. But what if they failed and the Monkey King was killed?
The rite only terminates the immortal's physical body. It doesn't destroy the spirit. And since Wukong hasn't yet achieved Buddha-Nature, meaning he is still subject to the wheel of rebirth, his spirit would report to the underworld for processing. He could definitely be transferred to a new reincarnation; however, considering the journey would still be ongoing and the Tang Monk is always in trouble, heaven might rush to find our hero a new body. This actually happens to a minor character in the 1592 JTTW.
The ledgers of hell show that the deceased wife of a Tang official was fated to live a long life (i.e. she wasn't supposed to be dead). Therefore, the underworld bureaucracy takes the timely passing of the Tang Emperor's sister as an opportunity to force the soul of the official's wife into the princess' body. The best part is that she still retains her memories from her past life (Wu & Yu, 2012, vol. 1, pp. 268-269)!
Heaven might find the only suitable body that can contain Monkey's soul is a recently deceased demoness (fox, yaksha, tree, etc.). [1] I imagine this would result in Sun Wukong being weaker, not because she's now a woman, but because few beings can match Monkey's original physical and magical might. This would naturally lead to her coming to terms with a loss of power. She could still be a very strong fighter, just not as strong as her past life. This might cause her to use more cunning when dealing with especially powerful evils encountered along the journey.
What do you think?

Note:
1) I even considered Princess Iron Fan as the receptacle. However, she is said to having a positive fate in the novel: "In the end she, too, attained the right fruit [i.e. Buddhist merit] and a lasting reputation in the sutras” (Wu & Yu, 2012, vol. 3, p. 163). I think choosing her would muddy our Lady's accomplishments.

✤ Universe: Remedy ✤ Concept: To save he who is damned to the deep a/n: four simple words, lovelies; chasm archon quest, beta!xiao. aditionally, fluff! ROMANCE! WE'RE TALKING BETA XIAO GO GET SUM-/smacked. angst is only for like, the first few hundred words.
Tumblr media
Who would've thought? A Yaksha such as he...
The cold wind embraces him in the harshest of manners, the sensation a desperate pull towards the depths of the Chasm. He can almost chuckle.
... Finally falling to his demise.
It's peaceful. The thought is saturnine but he isn't lying by any means. He feels much more peaceful than he initially thought and he, daresay, is fine to go this way.
After all, he has saved the Traveler and the group of misfits along with her. He has at long last ascertained the identity of the nameless Yaksha, he has no lingering regrets nor dampening worries.
Oh, what a lie.
He has one regret; [Name], Frostborne Beast, Subduer of Curses.
A fellow Yaksha.
His lover.
It is unlike him to leave his post without any warning, but the moment he learned about some suspicious—marginally supernatural—activity in the Chasm, he rushed.
Whilst fully cognizant of his plans and urgency, he only ever alerted Zhongli and the Goldets of his exodus. Now, it isn't like he didn't want to inform his comrade, but it's more of a case of couldn't.
[Name] wasn't in Liyue, an uncommon thing to consider for a fellow Adeptus and Yaksha. She visited the land of Mondstadt for a personal mission pertinent to her background and hasn't returned since.
And Alatus can't afford to wait. The best he can do is to relay his message to the Goldets. Then he left.
Look what's gotten to him now.
He's rather upset and, to be frank, in pain.
A usual occurrence, but his discomfort as of the moment leans more unto heartache. He can't bear to imagine that he's actually leaving without so much as a goodbye.
The feeling is extra bitter, more so since he promised a life of sincere tries; to try and love despite the karma, and to try and love despite the danger it brings them.
He's longed and pined for centuries and here he is, fleeing, vanishing—dying.
He will reunite with his brothers and sisters, yes.
But what of [Name]?
That reclusive, surprisingly endearing woman, to be left alone as the last Yaksha? The thought brings him immense guilt and he realizes for a fact that... this isn't how he wants to go.
Not in this state.
He doesn't wish to die this way, without having seen her.
He doesn't wish to die this way, leaving her to carry on the memory of her comrades alone.
But what can he do? He's emptied the reserves of his power and exhausted his might. All until he's but a puppet being cast deeper and deeper in the tenebrosity.
The surface light is but a small speck now, even. It's too late.
Alatus can only whisper his genuine apologies and heartfelt confessions in hopes of them being carried to his lover as he feels the surge of darkness start to gnaw from within.
With a final murmur of her name, he shuts his eyes.
...
But then it has gotten cold—no, the Chasm's always been cold—to the point of getting shivers. It feels like winter has arrived.
And it has.
Alatus opens his eyes to the sight of a myriad of snowflakes kissing his skin, splaying frost from the tips of his fingers toward his bare torso.
It might appear like a normal sight if not for the fact that he's falling down fast, yet the snowflakes are falling somehow faster. As if it is being willed to.
The gasp is barely able to leave his lips following the rise of his realization, for amid the ribbons of silver and sapphire, a ghost-like figure is summoned.
Beckoned from the call.
Arms appear from the envelope of frost around his form and strands of [c] billow from the snowflakes gathering just beneath his chin.
“Alatus,”
It all happens in the blink of an eye.
“I'm here.”
He is enraptured with the atmosphere of winter, held in her embrace until he becomes feathery light—then everything is turning white.
The very next second, he's perceiving the touch of solid ground, though he can't quite wrap his head around it yet. For still, he finds himself trapped in the lasting press of the serene snow.
It's bright, he realizes after a moment. He's at the surface.
He's not dreaming.
“Alatus.” he hears it a second time.
With a quick swivel to his right, his eyes turn owlish, stupefied as his breath leaves him. Even though he's seen the same being for the past centuries, his heart never fails to race as though he's laid eyes on her for the first time.
“[Name]…”
Snowflakes are just starting to dispel from her entire mien, cascading into nonexistence from her [c] tresses and leaving a touch of blue in her [c] eyes.
He can still feel her wintrous aura. One that's more fervid than cyclonic, which is a surprise in itself.
[Name] does not hide her displeasure under any circumstance, and despite this situation being likely to result in her fury... she does not encompass any ire of some sort.
Instead, the most telling of her chagrin is the crease between her brows and her pursed lips. She strides toward him with clear intent.
“What were you thinking?” she chides, voice low and icy, “If you hadn't called my name- archons, you're so-… !”
Ah, Alatus notices after a timid pause. He did say her name- he did not expect to be heard, however. As far as he knows, she wasn't anywhere near Liyue to begin with.
Oh, but then again, he knows not to underestimate the might and capabilities of a Yaksha. Especially her, someone he's bonded with on a level much more profound than simple camaraderie.
With a swipe of his tongue over his lightly dry lips, he works around his disbelief and works up a smile.
“Well, I did! And you saved me, right?” Alatus beckons his lady to come closer with an open hand, only for it to be slapped away in haste. “There's nothing to be-”
“You're an idiot as always!”
He yelps when his bicep is smacked, left mildly stinging with a warning of frostbite, though it fails to deter his elation. In fact, he only resumes his bout of chuckles.
Dropping his joy is not in the plans for now. There is absolutely no way he's going to slip how he's actually spooked at the idea of having escaped death.
Really, he'd hate to dampen the relief on his fellow Yaksha's face.
Lost in his bubble of thought, reality reels him back in the form of a particularly heavy slap on his arm that has him flinching with a pout.
“Ow, okay, that's actually beginning to hurt- woah!”
Alatus is unprepared for the brusque pull that sends him careening to the woman, almost sending them to the floor if not for the secure hold on his shoulders and his hand on the asphalt.
His exhale is shaky as he blinks and stares against the narrowed [c]s mere inches away. He can't start to wonder about the close distance when he's still astounded at the sudden careless action.
He dips his head down an inch, their noses almost touching as a frown surfaces on his face. “What was that for- mmph?!”
Heavens, he isn't prepared.
The spike of heat in his abdomen, lurching to his heart and creeping to his neck and cheeks- it's all too sudden. A feel of apricity covers his lips, tender at best.
Almost immediately, he no longer mulls about the stygian cage of the Chasm.
Enjoyment lasts only for a brief second—even though the kiss lasted longer—what with his delayed reaction, and [Name] pulls away. She no longer appears exasperated, just relieved.
“Thank you,” she breathes, “For calling me.”
For some reason, she's wearing her emotions on her sleeve today, and just seeing it causes butterflies within him.
It is usually the other way around. Not like that's what his mind is geared on as of the moment.
Still dazed from the kiss, he locks onto a single thought.
More.
To satiate his wishes, Alatus chases to close the distance again, tingling lips desperate to get a feel of the nipping cold and make it warm.
He has no explanation for his impulsive craving, maybe it's because it's a long time since he's kissed his lover? Or perhaps because it's the first time she initiated the display of affection?
Regardless, he desires more and he surrenders into it—but the finger against his lips forbids him from getting what he wants.
“Don't get ahead of yourself,” the austere bite has him sighing in defeat. “Might I remind you that we are in a public place, still? And you've some business left to do. The Traveler is coming.”
Resigned, Alatus withdraws to fall on his bottom, his second sigh one of playful hurt. “I'm inclined to say that my dear is much more important business.”
“Flattery will get you nowhere.”
He huffs in protest. “It did! Took me five centuries, though.”
[Name] rolls her eyes with a scoff, and although the gesture comes off as sardonic under the first impression, he knows it to be untrue.
He isn't blind to that smile, no matter how small!
The tiny curl is mirrored on his face.
Then, in the silence, he takes his lover's hand in his and squeezes it in gratitude. He just knows that If he decides to depend on his voice to convey his message, it will take him until the next morning to finish. So he resorts to his touch.
Even if neither of them voices out their own fears of the situation prior, it is perfectly understood and quelled in the assuring entwine of fingers.
The sound of rushing footsteps rips through the heartfelt moment, however. It incentivizes them both to stand and pat themselves off any dirt to appear presentable just as the Traveler and Paimon turn around the corner.
Lumine has a face of utter relief when she sees the pair of Yakshas, and Paimon's already begun to exclaim things in hysteria.
Alatus flinches at this, prepared for the floating pixie's sermon, to which [Name] chuckles at.
Their hands part away, heavy with reluctance but alas, there is business left to do.
“Hey,” he whispers, “Before I get told off, can you-”
Aware of what he wants, the female Yaksha turns away with a firm and frosty, “No.”
Her cheeks are pink, though, and Alatus snickers at the pretty sight.
Chagrined for the nth time, [Name] sends him a frown and says that a sermon from Paimon is the least thing that he should worry over. After all, he's had it coming after that stunt he pulled.
He doesn't understand something, though.
“'Least thing I should worry over'?” he echoes, genuinely floundered.
The statement only implies that there's something else, something greater that he should be concerned about. But what?
[Name] glances at the approaching Traveler before setting her gaze back onto him. There's a fire in her usually subdued eyes that tells of her repression, then, with a tap on his chest, she snarls.
“Fret over it when daylight has faded. The night is long and ours, I'll be waiting.”
She disappears in a burst of snowflakes before any question can be risen, leaving the man in a tiny world of wonderment.
Lumine arrives before a screeching Paimon does, confusion evident on her face. “What did [Name] say?”
Humming, Alatus crosses his arms over his chest and shrugs.
“That I should worry when evening-” he pauses, the cogs in his head twisting and turning until- “... Ah.”
“The night is long and ours. I'll be waiting.”
Lumine doesn't know why the Yaksha lets out an undignified squeak, face suddenly a shade of red that puts jueyun chilis to shame.
Tumblr media
a/n: yes, something is definitely implied in the ending. 'poor' alatus? ;)
I drew something for this from Lumine's perspective!

You were feeling more peaceful than you had felt in centuries as you saw a growing light in front of you. The light seemed to be coming from beyond a glass door of sorts. There were silhouettes of four figures on the other side. You smiled happily to yourself as you got closer because you recognised them, very well. Your family, your four siblings that you hadn't seen since they died. The four yakshas who died doing their duty, having given in to the curses of their karmas. Well, technically, they weren't your family by blood, because you belonged to a different race of yakshas, but since you'd been abandoned somewhere in the forest as a child, they found you, and took you in as their unofficial sister. You were forever grateful for that.
The pyro yaksha, Indarias, smiled proudly at you. "Ah Y/N, look at you. It's been so long since we've last seen you, and you've made us so proud. You've matured so much." The geo one, Menogias, piped up, "Yeah, exactly! I still can't help but remember you as the young yaksha who's arrival meant complete annihilation of everything." The others laughed and you covered your burning cheeks. Not even two minutes into meeting, and you were already being teased. You defended yourself. "Hey come on now, don't remind me, that was aaaaages ago!" you exclaimed. "Alright, alright." The electro one, Bosascius, chuckled. "But are you sure you wanna cross over? Once you come, there is no going back." Bonanus said. You shrugged. "What's holding me back? There's nothing but pain and suffering left for me there anyways." Bonanus shook her head sadly. "That's not true and you know it." She had a wistful smile as she leant her head on the glass. You did the same, and your eyes widened as a multitude of memories flashed through your mind.
You, laughing as Bos painted cat whiskers on Alatus's face. You, grinning widely as you fed Xiao his first ever bite of almond tofu. You and Ganyu wandering the flower fields to pick Glaze Lilies and Qingxins. You, Morax, and Xiao comforting each other tearfully over Guizhong's passing. Helping Morax in rebuilding Liyue after the Archon War. The ceremony in which you officially became an adeptus. Seeing Xiao's beautiful smile for the first time. You and Xiao comforting each other upon the other yakshas' deaths. Resurrecting Qiqi.
You felt a sharp pang in your chest. There was so much you had lived for, so much you'd done, so much you still wanted to. Suddenly you felt somewhat unsure of crossing over. There wouldn't be any coming back. Was this really what you wanted? But the world beyond felt so tempting, so alluring...
"Listen Y/N, we'd all love to have you here, but you still have a beautiful, long life ahead of you. We've always been, and always will watch over you, and we want to see our little Y/N live her life to the fullest. But it's your choice: You can cross over, or go back. Whatever your decision, as your family, we will always support you."
You thought about your beloved siblings on the other side. You thought about all my friends and connections on this side. You felt so torn. You were thinking.. Perhaps you should do as they say, maybe you should live out your life before coming back here. But... you felt a strong pull towards the other side. The more you stayed here and looked at it, the more you wanted to cross over. Without knowing it, you walked towards the glass door, almost pushing it. You wanted to go through.
'No.' A voice inside you resounded. It abruptly brought a halt to your steps forward. You looked up to see your siblings watching you quietly, waiting for your decisions. Images flashed across your mind, of several people reaching out to you. Ganyu, Zhongli, Xiao, and others.
'No.' you would not cross through, not yet. You weren't ready. You wanted to go back. You wanted to see them again, You wanted to live life without any regrets, or those regrets would forever haunt you. You wanted to try Xiangling's latest dish, you wanted to read Xingxiu's latest book. You wanted to live to see Liyue progress without its archon. You shut your eyes tightly. Your voice cracked a bit as you said, "I think.. I think I will go back."
All four of your siblings looked at you with a mixture of pride, wistfulness and sadness. "That's the little Y/N we know and love. Now go back, and enjoy your life. We'll be waiting, lets meet again at the end." Indarias smiled at you. You opened your eyes with your hands clenched. With one last look at their proud, smiling faces that you wouldn't get to see again for a while, you turned back and quickly walked back into the darkness, before the realm beyond could tempt you anymore.
*****
The bright light hit you as soon as you opened your eyelids, and your hands instantly went to cover them. "Too.. bright..." you muttered. Your voice coming out raspy. You sat up. "She's awake!" You heard a feminine voice cry, and before you knew it, two pairs of arms had encircled you in a bear hug, probably breaking your still-recovering bones.
"Careful now, she isn't completely healed yet." Another voice spoke, male this time, and the grips on you somewhat loosened. As your fuzzy sight corrected itself, the first thing you saw was Ganyu's relieved face right in front of yours, hiding another face. You smiled a little. "Gan..yu?" You noticed Baizhu also standing nearby, looking relieved as well. He handed you a glass of water and you gratefully chugged the entire glass down. "Thank you for patching me up. I am indebted to both of you." Ganyu shook her head rapidly. "No no, if anything, you should be thanking Adeptus Xiao here. Had he found you a little late, you wouldn't have made it out alive."
You blinked owlishly, surprise slowly forming. "Xiao?" The second pair of arms around you detached itself and the other person was revealed to be Xiao, who quickly went to lean against the wall, arms crossed in typical emo fashion, not meeting anyone's eyes.
He didn't say anything. You stayed quiet as well. Both, your argument, and everything you had remembered there, was still fresh in your mind. You didn't know what to say. Ganyu picked up on the obvious tension between you two and quickly excused herself with work and a quick hug and 'Take care Y/N'. Baizhu happened to have already left the room. You and Xiao were left alone in silence.
"What happened?" You asked eventually, breaking the heavy silence. "You were quite brutally injured from that double attack. I had just arrived in the vicinity, having sensed a mass of demons. I killed them off as fast as I could and took you straight to the pharmacy. You were in a very fragile condition. You were teetering between life and death. You almost died." He explained curtly. "No surprise there." You remarked dryly. "I was physically at the border between life and death, I think. The place where you cross over. I even saw the others."
Xiao froze. "What?" he whispered in disbelief, looking right at you. "Yeah, I saw them. Bosascius, Menogias, Indarias, Bonanus. I was ready to cross over to the other side. I almost did, just one more step and.. There would have not been any coming back. But they managed to convince me to live out my life here before going back there. Quite hard to resist the temptation of the realm beyond, but I managed to make it back here. So yeah, thank them." You chuckled darkly. You did have a very dark sense of humour. "I- this isn't a joke anymore Y/N." Xiao said lowly. You must have struck a nerve, huh.
A moment later, your mattress dipped. Xiao grabbed your chin and roughly tilted your face upwards so that he could look you in the eye. "Why didn't you call out to me Y/N?" he asked softly, his tone not matching his agitated demeanor. When you didn't respond, he continued. "You know that no matter what, I would always come when you called for me, even if we were angry at each other. I can't bear to lose you too like everyone else. Do you know how worried you had us for days? Did you think about my feelings? Do you know how scared we were, how scared I was, that you wouldn't make it to see another morning?" His voice grew louder with each sentence. "Days?" You questioned, surprised. "How long was I out for?" "Around a week or more." He said sharply. "And don't change the subject. Answer me. Why didn't you call out to me if you couldn't handle them?"
"We had just had an argument, Xiao." You sighed quietly, looking down. "Also, some part of me was still irrationally angry at you. We were both angry. I figured you wouldnt answer me, so I didn't bother calling for you. " "That's where you're wrong." He said quietly. "I would never have left you in trouble, no matter what had happened between us. I would never ignore your call. I was never angry at you, I was hurt by what you said. But these past few days, I've been thinking... For what its worth, I'm sorry for my behaviour. Please, I'm willing to change and improve myself." His voice grew softer. "Just.. please don't scare me like that ever again." His voice cracked. Seeing him hurt, exhausted and apologetic like that, it hurt your soul.
"You have nothing to apologise for, Xiao. I'm the one in the wrong, I'm the one who is sorry. I wasn't in my right mind. I was upset and angry, and I let it out on you. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have. I'm sorry for making you worry." You said quietly. He quickly leant forward and hugged you tightly, releasing all his stress, frustration and worry over these past few days through it. You hugged him back just as tightly. "Don't apologise, N/N. But.. does that mean we're good now?" He asked hesitantly, still hugging you. "Yes, we're good now." You assured him, cracking a small smile. "So you promise me that you'll call out my name if you're ever in danger, or something like this happens?" "I promise." You said firmly, now fully smiling at him. He smiled back eventually, and it was just as pretty as the one at the Lantern Rite, when he'd finally smiled after a long time.
"You really had me frightened, you know. You were almost dead, and I love you too much to be able to bear losing you too." He admitted without thinking, and your eyes widened. Realising what he'd said, he covered his mouth in shock as well. Whatever he was gonna say was cut off by you resting your forehead on his. "Don't say anything." You whispered with a smile. "I love you too, Alatus." He smiled again, and pulled you closer against him as your lips met.
That night was rather cold, but Xiao's warm embrace kept you sufficiently warm.

sukuna - king of the eclipse dynasty of khaenri’ah
the last ruler of the fallen kingdom of khaenri’ah, corrupted by the abyss but retaining his sanity. he wants revenge on the gods that destroyed the kingdom, somewhere along the line he started to enjoy bloodshed too much.
kenjaku - fatui
creates and distributes delusions and experiments on both humans and monsters. he holds influence in the nation of snezhaya, enough so where the gods are weary of him
vision users:
maki - pyro, polearm - inazuma
disowned by her clan, she inherited her vision from her deceased sister only recently. freelance adventurer that used to take every commissions on her own, but has settled with grief to remain with her friends. hasn’t been able to step foot on inazuma since she exposed corruption of her clan, leading to their downfall. she’s has a grudge against the gods for only deeming her worthy after she lost her sister.
panda - geo, claymore - liyue
one of the last remaining guardian yaksha to remain. his siblings were corrupted by karmic debt, and transferred their last remaining in order to save panda from a similar fate. he’s on a new mission to explore the world for his siblings and himself. he expects to live longer than his companions, and it’s only been recently that he’s discovered how upset he is by the idea.
toge - cryo, catalyst - snezhaya
born under a military dominant clan that he ran away from when he was still a child. he got his vision early and was unable to properly control it, something his family wanted to exploit. he escaped overseas and wandered the nations alone until he met maki and panda. they travel together, accepting commissions on his behalf to avoid detection.
yuuta - attached to a delusion and collects dead visions, sword - wanderer
has no memories before he fell into the abyss as a child with his childhood friend, rika. she was fatally injured early, and to protect her, he accepted an offer from a stranger in the abyss who promised power. he was given a delusion, but the very proximity sapped rika’s remaining life and killed her. he thinks her energy is trapped in the delusion and carries it with him. later, he discovers the ability to briefly awaken dead visions. he carries them on his back, intent on protecting his friends.
yuuji - pyro, catalyst - mondstat, descendant of khaenri'ah
believes he was born and raised in mondstat, but is one of the last citizens of the fallen kingdom. the abyss appears to make him stronger, and he chases the voice that taunts him. he’s only started to understand the voices of monsters and it leaves him conflicted. he continues to help his friends fight against the abyss order.
nobara - electro, claymore - liyue
one of the strongest blacksmiths who has a desire to the see the world. she doesn’t particularly care about the gods affairs, but she grew up in a tiny village. she accepts commissions only when they require travel, forever inquiring about her childhood friend who disappeared.
megumi - hydro, sword - inazuma
powerful with his vision, he relies on hydro animals for company and protection. after maki completely tarnished their family name, he took care of the affairs so that neither of them had to call it home ever again. he believes the gods are hiding powerful secrets that he’s intent to uncover. his sister has been missing for a while now, he believes she fell into the abyss. he plans on jumping into the first opening he can find.
archons:
gojo - anemo, catalyst, god of freedom in mondstat
a god who goes and comes as he pleases, resurfaced recently and has been forming contact with various vision users.
yaga - geo, sword, god of contracts in liyue
one of the oldest gods who specializes in creation of rock formations. they protect the land, especially as he takes steps back from being involved.
utahime - electro, catalyst, god of eternity in inazuma
keeps relatively to herself, believes in giving the people independence. recently became aware of the corruption within clans and has stepped in again.
tengen - dendro, bow, god of wisdom in sumeru
the oldest god of them all, has been losing awareness and is expected to fade sometime soon. all eyes are waiting for the emergence of their successor, especially after the last died an untimely death
higurama - hydro, claymore, god of justice in fontaine
the youngest and most recent archon, still trying to figure out his scrambled memories.
yuki - pyro, claymore, god of war in natlan
a hands-off god who hasn’t been seen in years, some say she’s wandering the nations searching for something or someone
getou - cryo, polearm, god of love in snezhaya
feels betrayed by celestia and the gods around him. waging a war against the divine to completely change the world, even if it means delving into horrible things.
headcanons:
• yuuta learns how to use the visions through the friends he meets. toge is the first to teach him how to wield cyro, it’s his favorite to use. the memories of toge surrounded by frost, teaching him to control with no regard for himself, is what he channels every time he uses the vision
• nobara and maki visions work off each other explosively, it’s invigorating for both of them, and it’s the first time maki smiled after everything that happened
• gojo and getou were once close friends and confidants in the days before the war, neither of them have connected with the other gods following everything that happened.
• choso was a part of the abyss order until he found yuuji, now he follows him and his friends to keep them safe
• unknown to toge, when he was a child, getou helped him escape. he never was able to turn a blind eye to a suffering child, he nearly took him in, he still doesn’t know why he helped him onto the boat.
• usually delusions sap the life of their users, for some reason it seems yuuta is immune to this effect. the people in range when it’s activated, however, are not.
• yuuji hasn’t felt himself since he found the upside down archon statue beneath the city. it’s almost like something is poisoning him, or calling him. megumi doesn’t seem immune either.
• they’re all employed by the adventurers guild, and regularly meet in different taverns and restaurants, even if they eventually split off.
• maki hears her sister’s voice every time she activates her vision
• yuuta doesn’t care about politics or divine beings, all he cares about is staying with his friends. he fights gods, not for their agendas, but because they are in the way of their happiness.
explanations:
there are seven types of visions in different elements, think of geo as earth, pyro as fire, anemo as air, cryo as ice, electro as voltage, dendro as plants, and hydro as water. visions are given to those with powerful ambition who had the capability of standing on even footing with archons.
the different regions are based on actual countries/architecture, and each of these regions has an archon (the essential god of the region and element assigned to a vision. ex. mondstat has the god of freedom, anemo)
the abyss is a different realm that houses corruption and monsters that leaks through the cracks into the human world
i hope that explains everything !! thank you again for asking anon, i always have so many thoughts !! 👉👈 💞✨

A stitch in time saves nine.
(Related to: God!Reader who can't take anything serious)
This certain event happens if you are at a risk of dying, choosing to ignore this event and continue how the situation is can lead to your demise, but making a difference in time may help you avoid the risk and encounter a new ending... and much more possibilities.
Uhh
Somewhere in the abyss, the princess was like doing stuff, "After eons upon eons, they finally descended and run around Teyvat?" She said, "How responsible of them..."
Inazuma was nice, but getting Ei to visit Kazuha's dead friend's grave and express your disappointment in her for committing such crime? Even fucking better. Sure Teyvat was nice, but you felt like you made yourself an enemy, like you mindlessly obeyed to dig your own grave and all you need to do was die in it. You cannot shake off the uneasy feeling.
Let's recall so far what happened to you, hm?
You were suddenly transported at Windrise, Mondstadt.
Amber and two other favonius knights chased you down all the way to Stone Gate, brandishing you as an Impostor.
Amber has shot your ankle, forcing you to limp through Liyue.
You hid from the people in Stone Gate and successfully passed through Wangshuu Inn.
Xiao noticed you, he lifted his weapon only to see the golden blood dripping from your ankle.
Xiao tries to help you but you refuse, your attempt to outsmart the yaksha failed.
You began to run to Liyue Harbor before Zhongli manages to find you.
You stole a cloak and hid your identity, only for Childe to find you in the crowd of people.
He asks you to hide behind him to which you obliged, moments later Zhongli appeared from the crowd inquiring about your presence, to which Childe refused.
Childe invites you to Snezhnaya, you refused.
You got to Bubu Pharmacy to rid off the arrow through your ankle.
Luckily, Baizhu helped you, but the time spent there caused Zhongli to find you.
You were transported to a mansion that belonged to the Qixing as your temporary home
You escaped the mansion while Childe and Zhongli were arguing.
You met Xiao, but he does nothing this time.
You met drunk Beidouz she introduces you to her crew and you set sailed to Inazuma.
You roamed about in Inazuma with Kazuha.
Inazuma welcomed you in open arms, you are uneasy.
Kazuha had to leave you behind so you roamed in the meadows, where you found Aether.
You offered to tell him theories about his sister, to which Aether ended up asking you to travel with him, you refused.
Somewhere far away...
Alhaitham begins to research about you. He hired the help of Zhongli to which he defended all information he has about you. Nothing is known beyond this point.
Tell me, would you changed the scenarios (The colored text) and avoid the risks? Or identify who was pulling the strings?

MASTERLIST
Kunikuzushi x Reader
Word Count: 1.2k
Genre: idk, it’s like a filler… what genre is this? ksksks
Warning: None
Synopsis: Suspicious Figure
Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10
a/n: ayeee, it’s an update that’s not 2 months late 🥳 n e ways, here’s to hoping that this writing fever lasts until I finish this series and maybe even more so that I can actually start taking in requests and ACTUALLY writing said requests 😖
Tumblr media
Wordlessly, you kneel before the throne, eyes staring straight ahead as you await for the shogun’s words to allow you to speak.
It’s barely been a year since everything has fallen apart, barely a year since Kunikuzushi was shunned away by the god before you.
And now, you stare her down, fists tightly curled on your lap, willing the swirling emotions away.
It is not your place to feel such things, much less towards a god.
No matter how much your insides burn, you have no place to act on it against the god before you, even if you wished to do so.
No.
Your duty is to be the geo archon’s yaksha. If you so much as speak out of turn in front of the electro archon then you may as well start another war between the gods. And for what?
For Kunikuzushi… only for Kunikuzushi.
“I heard that you have taken him under your wing.” The archon’s voice echoes inside the barren room, the vicinity ice cold, like that of an abode. It feels like it’s disconnected from the normal realm with its blurring views, thunder clapping in the background despite the foggy walls around you.
The plane of euthymia…
“I can’t say I’m opposed to you protecting the puppet… though I am curious as to why you would do such a thing… Answer me, yaksha.” Beelzebul drawls out though you can see the look of steel in her eyes, can see the way her hand tightens around the arm of her throne.
“I have vowed to protect Kunikuzushi, your son, for the rest of my existence. As long as I shall be alive in this world, then Kunikuzushi will be under my protection-”
“He is no longer my kin. He is but a citizen of Inazuma or any other country for that matter. I wish not for him to be tied to me.”
Your jaw clenches at her words, hands tingling as you start to feel the hilt of your claymore materialise though you try your best to will it away. “Whether he is part of the electro archon’s kin or not does not matter. My vow still stands and your words shall do nothing to change it. Though if I were to give my humble words of advice, I do not think that pushing him away so suddenly was a wise idea. Protecting him by hurting him… I do not think that the late electro archon would be pleased.” By now, you have stood up from your previous position, just as the thunder starts getting louder.
“You speak of my sister with such familiarity, yaksha. I suggest you know your place.”
Turning around, you are met with the sight of Beelzebul holding her sword as she stands before her throne, looking down at you. “The battlefield is a place that I am quite familiar with, electro archon. I have spent quite the time with Baal. In fact, Kunikuzushi himself shares a lot in common with her. Perhaps that is why you’re so afraid of keeping him close…”
With that, you make your way out of the plane of euthymia, your hair starting to stand up as lightning strikes the ground.
Tumblr media
The heavy feeling in your body quickly disintegrates as you’re met with the sight of Kunikuzushi laughing with the village kids, racing their way towards the blacksmith for their usual afternoon lessons.
It’s only been a few months since you got Kunikuzushi out of your abode and into Tatarasuna. A small island near the main Inazuma island which hosts a small village where you met Niwa who was quickly taken with Kunikuzushi.
The man quickly opens his home to the both of you, offering to help Kunikuzushi with whatever he may need on the island. The two of you were quite hesitant to be so comfortable with him but soon enough, Kunikuzushi takes to liking Tatarasuna, having his days filled with classes with Niwa wherein he teaches him how to forge swords, along with helping around in the village, you’ve never felt more assured with leaving him alone for a day or so while you continue to do your responsibilities in Liyue.
“Kunikuzushi was looking for you, y’know?” Humming, you look to your side where Niwa makes himself comfortable against the tree, chuckling to himself when he sees your ever so serious face. “The kid was sulking all day when you didn’t visit at your usual time. He said that even though he can call you at any time, he didn’t want to bother you while you were off doing your duties in that foreign land. He likes telling the village stories about your journey, y’know? Sometimes, he even brings out books about you.”
Crossing your arms, your gaze moves back to Kunikuzushi who’s starting on forging the metal that was freshly out of the water.
Sighing at your usual silence, Niwa pushes himself off of the tree, a small smile on his face. “Dendro yaksha, you shouldn’t worry so much about Kunikuzushi… the village practically treats him as family, we’ll protect him.”
Taking in a deep breath, you finally look Niwa in the eyes. “Please do so. His safety and happiness is the only thing that matters. Kunikuzushi deserves at least that much.”
A little taken aback by your words, it takes the man a few seconds to respond, but when he does so, he offers you a genuine smile. “I promise you, I will do everything that I can to protect him. He is in safe hands.” Patting you twice on the shoulder, he starts to make his way over to the village once one of the villagers calls out to him. “Now c’mon, yaksha, there’s this Fontaine merchant that’s been visiting for the past week and he seems to have taken an interest in the village’s metal work. He’s been talking about making this place a more appropriate place for the forging, something about bringing in some new equipment.”
Raising a brow at that, you silently follow before him, the pit in your stomach growing restless as you sense something shift in the air the closer you get to the village.
Something’s not right…
“Along with that, he’s even taken an interest to Kunikuzushi. The man’s been bringing in different devices from Fontaine, said that it’ll surely enhance Kunikuzushi’s abilities.”
Frowning at his words, you can’t help but be unsettled at the thought of this man though perhaps it’s just because you haven’t met him personally… you’ve always been wary of strangers.
“Ah, there you are, Niwa and oh? Is that the yaksha that everyone’s been talking about in the village? My my, it’s an honour to finally meet your acquaintance.” The man dressed in foreign attire greets you, a smile on his face as he holds out his hand.
Immediately, you feel something trigger your senses. This man… feels familiar.
“My name is Escher, it’s nice to meet you.”

xiao with an adeptus! reader
pairing: xiao x reader note: gn! reader, contains spoilers for the liyue archon quest
you met xiao the day that morax summoned him and the rest of the yakshas to cut down the monsters that plagued liyue after the archon war
you had been guizhong’s disciple and retainer. she had been many things to you — a mentor, a sister, a friend, a confidant — and you were the same to her
in the war, you used your dendro vision to heal so when guizhong was fatally wounded, you did everything in your power to save her. you tried to stop the damage, quell the bleeding, but in the end, she perished, turning to dust in your arms
you hadn’t known morax as guizhong had. when they ate together with cloud retainer, you would play with ganyu. when they would discuss mechanisms, you would quietly listen and occasionally add your own input when prompted (mostly by guizhong)
but you went to him anyway, distraught and angry and so incredibly numb, and he took pity on you, taking you under his wing in a way
he wasn’t warm and loving in the same way guizhong was, and there were times where he could be brutish and tactless, but morax was good to you in different ways
he, for one, taught you to fight physically rather than mentally as guizhong did for physical fights had always been her achilles heel
he showed you how to channel your vision into more than just healing
you would never be a great fighter, but morax taught you how to be a good one
when the yakshas were called and fighting off monsters, morax had ordered you to travel with them in order to provide healing and perhaps some minor aid in fighting should they find themselves in dire straights
through watching them and spending time with them, you came to the realization that you felt… something for alatus, the conqueror of demons
you couldn’t quite put the feelings into words, at least not yet, and it wasn’t exactly the first thing on your mind as you healed townsfolk who had fallen victim to the monsters or who were collateral damage
still, watching alatus slay beast after beast and having short but pleasant conversations with him made your stomach feel warm. guizhong had once described this feeling, telling you about it after she had first met morax. “butterflies,” she called them.
there was this time, when you were healing alatus after a particularly nasty battle, and realized where you were — in the narrow plot of land between the guili plains and dihua march, where the other gods had slain your guizhong without a hint of remorse. your throat grew dry and you power faltered ever-so-slightly
of course, alatus noticed it. he just looked at you with his gold eyes, scrutinizing. “what is it?” he asked, tone gruff but not unkind
you looked up at the night sky, stars sparkling. “this is where guizhong died. i was too weak to save her.” tears began to sting your eyes, and you looked everywhere but alatus, embarrassed and exhausted
he didn’t say anything for a while before quietly breaking the silence. “you cannot blame yourself. many things happened in the archon war that could not have been prevented, even by the most powerful among immortals.”
“but—”
“death was a constant possibility, an inevitability. it’s useless to think that you played some part when you weren’t the one to bring the sword down on her.”
you chanced a glance back at him and he was gazing intensely at you, a certain resolve in his eyes.
you felt the butterflies return again.
you didn’t know how many years you had spent with the yaksha — decades passing like mere days to you all — but you eventually had to bear witness to their madness, to their pain and suffering, to their demise and disappearance
you felt useless, watching them succumb to their karmic debts. it felt like guizhong all over again. you were so scared that the same fate would befall alatus
as they perished, morax ordered you away from them, away from alatus, for you could not longer help them
you asked morax if he would pardon you from his retinue — you had never signed a contract and had fulfilled your purpose. and, though you didn’t tell him this, you needed to leave and get away from everything that reminded you of guizhong and the yakshas
morax granted your request, and you wandered the world for a while, often helping mortals along the way
it was years before you heard from alatus again, returning to liyue because you had gotten word that it was in danger. that osial, overlord of the vortex, had been reawakened by a fatui harbinger
you could only lay your eyes on him briefly before you were battling against osial and offering your healing along with what limited combat experience you had
in the aftermath, you were surprised that alatus was the one who had approached you first and asked if you two could speak. when you agreed, he brought you to the same stretch of land you had known all those years ago between dihua marsh and the guili plains. there was a structure there now, the wangshu inn, where alatus — who told you he went by xiao these days — resided
your talk was quiet and awkward at times — xiao had never been an yaksha of many words — but as you both eased into the conversation, you could feel little bits of familiarity and warmth, just as you had felt so many centuries ago
the butterflies erupted in your stomach again, and in the dim glow of the wangshu inn’s lights and under xiao’s golden gaze, you wondered if, after so many years of wandering, if you had finally found your home again

the winds is a welcome coolness that blows across alatus’s face, his cheeks warm and pinkened by the sight of his goddess singing softly while sewing a massive tapestry that she wished to be hung in rex lapis’ throne room, her voice enchanting both him as well as the rest of the private soldiers at her beck and call. the golden guards on her pinky and ring fingers glinting in the light of the sun and her hands worked swiftly to procure the most recent story she wished to tell through a tapestry: that of the birth of herself and her brother, all the way to his victory in both of their names during the archon war. bosacius, both smiling and warm-eyed, arrives with more fibrous materials from lands distant to them all, material that y/n would weave into a thread that glowed gold with the power of gods older than their five lifespans put together. the twin goddess and other half to their beloved morax had a talent for weaving that humans and gods alike cast awed gazes upon, for the stories she told in her tapestries and blankets were unlike any others that could be created by hands mortal and non.
bonanus sighs happily, resting her arms and head on one of the goddess’s thighs as the other was taken up by the incomplete part of the tapestry she was weaving by hand, and every now and then the older woman would clutch the jade needle she sewed with between the fingers that gripped the tapestry’s cloth in favor of gently caressing her face or petting her hair.
a small smile twists alatus’s lips as indarias comes up the stone steps to their goddess’s home in the mountains, kneeling before smiling an announcing three mortal’s arrival at the foot of said mountain. “what would you have me do, my lady?” indarias asks quietly, her voice betraying the fact that she wore a smile of her own, and the four yaksha present shiver when the singing comes to an end and the golden gaze of the geo archon’s sister locks on her.
“continue leading them up the mountain, indarias,” y/n says softly, a gentle look in her eyes that caresses the mountain as sweetly as her hand did bonanus’ face when she looks out upon them. “they have journeyed this far and kept their hearts pure on their journey — do not let them falter or lose their way. i want to meet them.”
indarias nods and says, “as you wish,” before disappearing in a leap of flames that disappear into the wide, open sky above them. alatus leans back against the trunk of the tree, one leg hanging down from the branch he rested on, and his soft smile widens as his watchful gaze softens.
he loved days like this.
when y/n and morax had happened upon him all those years ago, a pitiful slave to his former master, morax had initially wished to strike him down — but y/n had placed one hand on his chest and had held him back from doing so before kneeling before him ( him! ) and speaking to him as she would an equal. it had shocked him at the time, and the fondness in her eyes had struck a chord in morax that had led to him assisting in freeing alatus before presenting him to his sister in hopes of pleasing her.
alatus was no fool. he’d known at the time, just as surely as he knew now, that morax wasn’t saving him for his sake, but rather the notice of his younger sister. where morax was the archon of liyue, worshiped by all who called the nation their home, the only being he had and would ever worship was his sister, who was widely referred to as the nation’s golden flower as paired with the archon’s title of golden warrior; he wanted her approval and craved her affection, greedy towards her in a way that few understood other than the five primary yaksha he’d collected on her behalf. they’d all been delivered to her as brutally efficient soldiers with the intent of protecting her from harm on behalf of the geo archon himself, but over time their collective animosity towards serving the goddess had faded upon realizing that she’d never intended for them to be any sort of slave when she’d offered them freedom should they wish it to each of them in turn as soon as they’d arrived, and they’d all leapt for it, each losing the collars of gold morax had clasped around their necks before presenting them to y/n, and they’d disappeared into the mountains and valleys of liyue — but, one by one, the five that called themselves hers had returned.
the first to fall back into her gentle grasp had been bosacius, who had told all that had returned after him the story of how he’d traveled the entire world before returning to her after finding something within him missing no matter where he’d chosen to go — something that had been restored as soon as he’d crossed her threshold in the mountains, this time of his own volition. bosacius enjoyed speaking of his first days back where he’d mock his younger self until y/n scolded him gently with a fond smile on her face whenever someone amongst the six of them asked. many had come after him, delivered to y/n’s feet by the hands of rex lapis, and all had fled until one finally returned, the second to ever do so — and that had been indarias.
after being freed and insulting bosacius for so blindly serving the goddess he did, she’d run to the lands of natlan, where rivers of fire flowed freely and emotions were free to be kept unbridled ( at least, so said the stories that they’d all heard while in past servitude ) — but, like with bosacius, she’d felt something off, like she was missing something she held dear… and she’d returned. she’d been certain she wouldn’t be welcomed back, but had been pleasantly surprised to be welcomed back with open arms.
bonanus had come next, but she’d fled back to y/n’s haven in the mountains after less than a week, uncomfortable with the way life had changed after her rigorous training with morax had ended and craving the gentle touch that came from her new mistress. many years passed after this before menogias was dropped upon their doorstep by morax, and he’d left just as swiftly as he’d arrived, returning months later with a cold outlook on the world he’d gone out to see that had eventually given way to a warmth that only y/n had been able to provide him with.
alatus had been last; he’d returned within a month.
he hated remembering the time he’d run away.
the question of why they’d all returned so willingly when the urge to run had been so great when they first arrived still hadn’t been answered even a thousand years later, but regardless they had refrained from skipping worship of their goddess ever since.
thunder booms in the distance, making the three present yaksha go on alert; y/n loved the rain, but rain risked the tapestry she was weaving, so she’d likely want to go somewhere dry.
“bonanus, help me carry this inside please,” she asks quietly. “alatus?” xiao’s heartbeat quickens once he realizes he’s been called, and he’s standing at attention in front of her within a second. she smiles at him, and his pink cheeks darken slightly as he declines his head out of respect for her. “go and fetch menogias from the riverbend please, and call for indarias to ease the travelers into a safe place to rest then return; i want you all close to me.”
xiao’s bowing in an instant and then gone the next, giving the messages to the appropriate yaksha before returning to his mistress’ side and taking bonanus’ place knelt at her feet nearby a fire that roared within a massive hearth. he heard bonanus whine in complaint before the feeling of her hands tugging insistently at his hair make him grumble loud enough for y/n to intervene.
“now now, bonanus — that isn’t very nice. how would you feel if alatus was pulling on your hair like that?” her tone is that which she would take on when scolding a child, and it makes bonanus look down at her feet and flush in shame. xiao just buried his face in the flesh of her thigh; he could tease bonanus later maybe, but for now he wanted to bask in the glow that came with being so close to his goddess.
indarias and menogias both arrived at the same time, and moments after they enter the rain comes pouring down hard enough to bounce off the stones outside. all five take their places lounging around the area at her feet as she takes her tapestry back in hand and resumes weaving it, returning to singing her song as the fire crackles within the hearth and the rain pours down outside.
before long all of the others are asleep aside from alatus and his goddess. morax has long since entered their haven and gone to rest elsewhere within it. alatus does not want to sleep and leave y/n alone with her thoughts, but her voice is so soothing and his eyes are so heavy.
when he finally allows himself to drift off into a dreamless sleep, its to the sound of his goddess in his ears and her adoration surrounding him, and he’s truly never been happier.

IMAGINE:
CW: Violence, blood and gore mention, EoS!Reader going apeshit I guess, kidnapping
You were never a violent person, the people closest to you describes you as a gentle giant that guards Mondstadt silently. The people really began to look up to you and feel safe; for if Liyue has the Guardian Yaksha and Inazuma has the Guuji Yae, Mondstadt has both rolled into one, a Guardian and a Priestess.
Storm Princess Eurus of the East Wind.
You don't really care about such a fancy title because as far as you are concerned, you're just Deaconess (Name). In fact, you felt awkward when the Mondstadtians began worshipping you like they once did with Dvalin, Andrius, and Vennessa; however, you didn't stop them. Not when you felt a boost in power, making you hum softly to yourself as you observe the people build a small temple in your name.
Everything was going pretty well after the Stormterror problem. Life was utter bliss, except for the times when you had to take care of the Anemo Archon who's having the worst hangover in Teyvat. But when he's sober, yeah, it's pretty nice.
And then the Abyss decides to mess with you by abducting your lover.
When Aether had come running to you to report of what had happened to the bard when exploring Old Mondstadt, you lost it. Your mind, your sanity.
Your friends remembered why exactly you call yourself Stormbringer.
As soon as Diluc, Jean, and Aether were able to lead you to where they were holding Venti hostage, you began rampaging like a madman that escaped the asylum. You began to tear at hilichurls of various sizes like they're naught but dolls, their guts and blood spilling everywhere. You ripped an abyss lector's arms and shoved them down its throat. You punched a hole through the abyss mages' shields and through their stomach. In your rage, you body-slammed a Ruin Grader and stepped on its head enough to crush its head like a soda can, then proceed to lift it up by its feet to slam it against a Ruin Hunter. It creates a massive explosion that shook the domain, no doubt alerting your lover's captors.
Safe to say, your friends are terrified of you. But did you care? Not in the slightest.
You almost singlehandedly and recklessly handled most of the Abyssal guards and machines scattered on the ruins of an old civilization. You're on a one track mind, and you only care about one thing and one thing alone; retrieving your god.
Punch. Kick. Rip. Tear. Smash. Slice through. Slam against. Crushing them all beneath your feet.
Screams of terror and agony resounded throughout the entire domain, making the weakened Archon look up slightly. He lets out a quiet laugh knowing in his heart that you came for him, making Lumine snarl at him and send a new wave of Abyss power to corrupt him and bend him to her will. Her plan to make Dvalin and Osial her weapons failed, but she's going to make it work this time.
Barbatos will be her new weapon of war. Though he's weak, once she gets the first eye of the field tiller from Dainsleif, then she can turn him into a strong mechanical Archon that she can use against Celes—
CRASH.
"Wh—"
Lumine turned to the source of the explosion as saw her brother, and three other people she doesn't know. The tallest of them, a Favonius nun, suddenly teleported using Anemo to right in front of her.
"—!" Lumine couldn't even gasp in surprise because you gave her a backhand slap so strong that she flew across the room and crashed against the wall.
Aether ran towards her sister predictably and started talking about their sibling drama while Jean and Diluc were still processing the trauma of your brutality, but you didn't pay them any mind. You yanked the chained holding Venti up and broke it off, freeing him from his binds.
Venti slowly opens his eyes to look at your blank face, though he could tell how anguished you feel. He is much too hurt and exhausted to comfort you though, so he could only weakly nuzzle into you like a bird, hoping that's enough to reassure you.
"I'm sorry you had to wait long, Barbatos."
"...'s fine. You came for me and that's what matters."
You kissed his forehead, relief coursing through your veins. Using your anemo power, you use it to teleport to Windrise to heal Venti.
Your hands are covered in blood, tainting Barbatos' wings, but he doesn't mind. They cherishes, and protects, and saves.
Barbatos is not scared. He's home in your arms.
