WEPWeek Day 4+5: Relationships/Parties

I’ve felt kind of ill for the past few days, so it’s been a bit hard to write/sit up for long (and I’ve slept a lot)--so, I decided to combine two of the days and write a v short/quick fic of the main four having a slumber party on Ai’s birthday!

I really like their friendship; especially where Momoe tries to have a level-head sometimes, and Rika just... Causes a few problems on purpose? Whereas Neiru will support her Problem-Causing? It’s just nice.

     Ai fell back onto the blanket-covered floor; her room was dark, save for the glow of their lamp, and the vague amount of light from the outside world seeping in through their curtains.

    “Hey, think your mom’s gone to bed?” Rika asked, hovering over her with a wide grin spread across her lips. “If so, we can totally raid her kitchen.”

    “Cleaning up after our own mess would make too much noi--”

    “Ah, ah, ah! We wouldn’t make a mess in the first place.” Rika interjected. “Plus, it’s your birthday, I’m sure she would understand.”

    “She’s already been pretty understanding about all of us staying overnight in the first place.” Momoe pointed out, laying on the other side of Rika. “We don’t need to risk waking her up--she needs her rest, I’m sure.”

    “Psh, I’m sure she knows what to expect with a room full’a girls. She probably expects us to be up all night laughing, and you know what we’re not doing?” Rika laid back, turning her head just enough to look at Momoe with a sly grin.

    “Laughing?” Ai answered earnestly.

    “Exactly! We’re not making a freakish amount of noise at three in the morning, so--”

    Momoe interrupted. “So I’m sure that us all piling into her kitchen would make a considerable amount of noise.”

    “Shouldn’t you two let Ai decide what you do?” Neiru broke her own silence, sitting up and holding her pillow to her stomach. “It’s her house, her birthday.”

    “You’re right--so, Ai,” Rika jolted back up, smiling at Ai again. “Whatchya wanna do?”

    “I want…” Ai slowly pushed herself up, holding her weight on her elbows as she thought. “It probably wouldn’t bother my mom too much if we made a small snack.”

I have a really rough time deciding--when we watched the OP for the first time and I saw Momoe, I was like “That one’s gonna be my favorite”. But in the end, I’m completely unable to decide between the main four, Kaoru, and Chiemi :D

This 2 scenes are my favorites not because I ship this two but because I love how Ai went back to Neiru to comfort her. I just love the bond between them(not romantically) and they remind me of me and my friends when we comfort each other through tough times.
