summary: matt ends up getting covid however his best friend has it to. maybe a sickness can turn into something more

this is my overly large collection of hcs that just either popped in my head or were taken from asks ive gotten so thank you to everyone that gave a little contribution!!!(and to rico MUAH thank you for letting me plagiarize some of your hcs >:]

general

- you cannot tell me they all dont get into tickle fights all the damn time

- as a welcome gift for kai becoming part of the team, the three ganged up and tickled him (all of them made sure he was fine with it first, asking what he thought about tickles and kai just turned bright red)

- theyve turned saturdays to their annual tickle fight competition, where they all gather in the room and see who can last the longest without tapping out

- (winner gets to skip out on chores for the entire week, but typically gets tickled the most throughout it because everyone is a sore loser LFMAO)

- casual cuddle nights where it always somehow turns into tickling. idfk at least one of them decides to start something, let it be accidental or not one of them tickles another then suddenly its a pile of lego men laughing

- like theyre so close to falling asleep but cole decides theyre not sleeping and slowly claws along jays tummy waking everyone up with a screech

- he also remembers how kai walked in on this entire scene happening, took one look and immediately walked right out

- jay got him afterwards for leaving him in the dust

- hes probably given wayy too many injuries to everyone unintentionally LFMAO

- kicked kai in the stomach once, smacked cole in the face and elbowed zane in the shoulder

- probably laughed harder at this happening than being tickled

- and WILL take that to his advantage because when jay does use his powers, zane is scream thrashing which he almost never does

- hes also pretty big on anticipation because he knows how bad it gets him so he just has to do it to the others

- has a really soft, breathy laugh that the others swoon on

- when you get one of his bad spots, he'll glitch a bit along with a high pitched squeak, but it wont hurt him

- he'll also uncharacteristically thrash and squirm!!!! gets more frantic n giggly which everyone loves

- in a way his little glitch like a high pitched squeak/snort that makes zanes movements much more reactive, like he'll gently push at hands and slowly try to slink away

- the first time this happened everyone freaked out and zane had to reassure that he was okay and just another way of laughing when things get a bit hysterical

- now they all think its the cutest thing ever and tickle him just so they can hear his laughter and his little squeaks

- all the ninja are SO soft about it too, always checking in to see if anything may be too overwhelming for zane as its a completely new sensation

- he is fine, he likes having this little bonding moment w them

- jay bullies him a lot solely because his electricity has been by far one of the most effective ways of getting zane to crumple to the ground

- zane is known to kind of just let out his little breathy laughs and squirm a bit, which is why it was incredibly surprising to both parties when jay snuck up behind him, tased his ribs and the next second zane barked out a laugh and fell down LMFAO

- they both looked at each other for a second before cackling because it was funny, then the next it was a whole different type of laughter because jay did it again but with full on tickles

- also has very sensitive ears and hands!!!! jumped a mile high when cole decided it would be a good idea to breathe down his neck and the story ends there LDMAO

- actually used to be. pretty neutral about tickling until it became a daily bonding activity hed do with the others

- tickling makes him feel more human as well and acts as a comfort to him that he knows he can be tickled just like the ninja can

- was actually worried at first he wouldnt be ticklish but cole was not taking that and did his silly little experiment and now :]]]]

- AND didnt know he could be this panicked and flustered while being tickled, because his system never really had to experience this type of emotion before but he liked it a lot

- found this function where he can jitter his fingers really fast along any spot which drives all of them insane

- AND along with this he also uses it on his lips when hes giving raspberries

- when i say jay dies this man dies on spot when this happens

- zane had him pinned and jay saw him prepping to turn the feature on and he was SCREAMING before it even started LMFAOO

- he picks on everyone when they least expect it because when his attacks happen, theyre brutal

- like once jay wrecked the absolute living shit out of zane

- and in casual zane style he let jay be on his toes for a week expecting revenge

- buut forgot about it afterwards and let his guard down

- which is when zane casually just walked up behind jay when he was talking to nya, scoops him up and takes him away for sweet sweet revenge

- jay didnt even know it was revenge until zane pinned him down and pulled his shirt up to reveal his tummy then immediately began to screech

- likes 'chasing' kai and shoving his hands under his shirt with his reasoning being "my system needs a warmup"

- they both know its bullshit so it just turns into this overdramatic chase around the room where kai is SPRINTING while zane is casually walking towards him because he knows he'll catch him

- in the end zane always catches him one way or another and wiggles his fingers where its nice and cozy

- gets kai the worst because of this sole reason,, the icy hands just make him much more sensitive to zanes tickles

- super brutally honest with his teases

- its not even teases its literally just him pointing out the obvious yet everyone seems to??? hate it more when its the truth?????

- never really understood it when each time hed do this theyd tell him to shut up but at the same time he found it really amusing

- solely because it would make their reactions even more sillier and he found it v endearing

- WILL ALSO reveal anyones spots without any warning like hes stating a fun fact

- and just. knows. he knows.

- he’ll take one look at someone and make his silly calculated guess and itll always somehow be a spot that makes the person rush into a panic

- none of the ninja know how he does it but they all collectively agree that it is both amazing and terrible at the same time

- loves doing it because he says “i like learning about anatomy”

- which is bullshit he just likes being mean

- like he’ll pay extra attention to each and every rib when tickling the life out of either of the ninja

- found a very specific rib on the higher end with cole that has him howling and has kept this information to himself for the longest time

- mainly because no one has asked yet because he exposes everyones spots when asked LFMAO

- and absolutely loved keeping his reputation as the high and mighty tickle monster out of all of them

- like hed dodge the question by tickling the person asking to pieces so they forget or would just drop the question

- or the ninja would poke him, but since cole was expecting it, he could control his reactions pretty well

- buut no secrets are hidden in this household

- and if you live with a few other curious ninja i dont think anything will be left unsettled

- zane literally unprovoked and out of nowhere sneaks up behind him and claws at coles ribs making him let out one of the loudest shrieks everyones heard

- mind you this was when they were all casually chatting in their rooms

- theres like a moment of silence for everyone to process this until its absolute chaos

- jay is screaming "YOU LIAR" while kai wrestles cole to the ground with zane whos smirking at the situation unfold

- has ridiculously ticklish thighs that no one knew about until jay was being a little silly and ran his fingers along coles inner thigh

- the two were lounging on the couch with cole who had one of his legs on jay just for that to happen and nearly kneed him in the face

- jay immediately gasped in shock and started laughing, gave a few more squeezes up on his thigh until cole pounced

- cole literally had to tickle the shit out of jay to keep him from telling the others (theyll find out eventually)

- not too much of a thrasher or one to get away, but he'll say things that mean the opposite yet the ninja can clearly tell hes enjoying it

- which gets him horrendously flustered that they all noticed it

- "get AWAY!!"

- "then why arent you running??"

- or one time zane had cole all propped up in his lap and was slowly circling his finger along his ribs driving him into a giggling frenzy

- but zane being zane noticed immediately that cole was leaning more towards him than away

- cole just buried his face hes not dealing with that question

- then zane asked why this question got to cole so bad in front of EVERYONE and suddenly jay and kai are also mildly flustered but now know what gets to cole

- was and still is extremely embarassed over how ticklish he is in his little specific spots

- like. hes so used to people perceiving him as the tough big guy so he tries to live up to those expectations only to crumble under a few wiggly fingers

- beat them all at a video game and as "losers punishment", he made them lie down next to each other back against the floor

- it got so loud to the point where lloyd ran in and started shouting at them to shut the fuck up

- he scared off lloyd when cole yelled he was going to get him next

Okay so I need steve and wayne to bond or so help me!!

Okay so I cant remember if its cannon but I definitely see Wayne Munson as ex military, so hes definitely seen some shit before he took in eddie.

Now seeing as hes seen some shit, hes become hyper aware of picking up the signs of ptsd from having witnessed many people (as well as most likely himself) suffer from it. Meaning the moment he properly meets steve, he knows that this boy has gone through something incredibly traumatic. He also picks it up in alot of the other kids who hang around eddie, but its obvious that steve is hiding that whatever happened was effecting him so much.

And wayne so badly wants to reach out to this kid and help him, but he doesnt know what steve had gone through (he briefly remembers the kid was involved with helping save people from the StarCourt fire and is pretty sure it must be part of it.)

Now pare this with wayne, steve robin and eddie all getting kidnapped (either by the Russians again or some of bernners men) and they get separated into 2 groups. Wayne and Steve, and Robin and Eddie.

Wayne, as he trys to offer comfort to the teen, (the man swearing he would do anything in his could before he watches his kids get hurt!! Hes an old man but he can still take a punch!!!) Only for steve who's still chained to his side of the cell to start laughing!?

Like this is the type of laughing that sounds hysterical, that cant quite believe hes in the same situation AGAIN now with his boyfriend and bestfriend trapped god knows where and HEs trapped with his bfs uncle.

And wayne is just floored because, what's the point of keeping everything a secret now?? So steve is just sitting there laughing with this far away look in his eyes as he explains getting tortured by the Russians, and how it's honestly pathetic because he did know stuff about what they were doing that they didnt understand, but they just kept asking who he worked for, not what he knows. So he was just beaten and beaten to the point that one more severe head trauma like that would no doubt make him brain dead at this point!?

And as he keeps rambling and rambling, even mentioning how his parents didnt care since he was already such a disappointment, and Wayne's heart is just slowly breaking because no one was there for this boy! From the sounds of it he refused to tell everything to his bestfriend who experienced it with him (not that robin told him she heard everything that happened, she wanted to respect his dignity and let him tell her), but she couldnt truly be there for him if he didnt let her. Hell he even kept the full of it from eddie!! But now Steve's trapped in a cell again, and it doesnt matter that hes in here with his partners parental figure, because Steve's already excepted that he was probably going to die here and at least someone should know before that happens!!

Thankfully hopper and joyce (along with the cavalry and a super powered teen, everyone gets out with minor injuries) and wayne is just like Steve your my son now, your gunna move in with me and eddie in our new government appointed pre payed for house, and I'm going to make sure me and my nephew treat you with all the care you deserve!!

(Of course eddies all for this, he would love steve no matter what!!!!!)

I LOVE SAMELLA...... read twinning with a twist and havent been the same since but they really do just work really well together if you think ab it. with both coming from bad family situations (only implied for ella tho i think) and needing everyone to like them all the time. sammy is really hurt that she's always painted in a bad light no matter how hard she tries to fix it, while ella doesnt realize how she comes across as annoying and that people dont really like her until sugar flat out tells her, and she starts spending so much time trying to get sugar to like her. its just interesting bc sammy feels defeated and ella is just determined to both be herself and be someone who everybody likes.(though, and this might just be pulling from twinning with a twist a lot, it does feel like she uses her princess fantasy as escapism. possibly partly bc shes Not oblivious i bet she realizes people dont like her that much, she just doesnt know what to do about it. if they dont like her when shes trying to be the perfect princess and polite and kind what is so bad about her that even if shes nice they dont want her?) sammy IS nice, and she doesnt hide it, but somehow ends up taking the fall for amy's behavior (even tho amy was outright awful to everyone?? this plot confused me so bad. but i guess scarlett and amy dont care, topher probably just doesnt care or Loves to stir the pot, max and rodney are probably too dense, and we know how jasmine reacted) and she has such a complex about it its Bad. i honestly love sammy i wish they treated her better. i think ella shouldve also had a last straw snap like sammy did, just absolutely go off on someone about why they dont like her. isnt she trying hard enough? whats wrong with her? and sammy might see that as inspiration and really admire ella for it, and spend more time together (without amy this is important.) then later maybe sammy asks ella for tips and she tells her that she seems like a really nice person !! and maybe likens sammy to a princess as well, because ella didnt have amy on her team influencing her perception of sammy. so that like shocks sammy and she realizes that if ella can do it she can, and if ella sees her as someone worthy just knowing Sammy, then maybe she is, and has worth on her own outside of amy. i love jasmine but i dont love the way she just lets it happen either. i think sammy believed jasmine when she said she was good, but couldnt help but feel like its only because she feels sorry for her, and not really based on her own merit because amy has never let sammy have anything for herself, not even her friendship with jasmine. so being on different teams from ella and still bonding could give them a chance to establish that connection without amy at all, which might make sammy feel more secure that ella truly means what shes saying. i think one of the conversations would happen after ella is voted off, and sammy would get mad, saying that ella was genuinely sweet and they couldnt see past the fact that she was also 'too weird', and then say her situation was similar in that they judge her on the surface of what amy tells them without ever trying to get to know her at all, and she tells amy shes done trying to compete with her. her worth shouldnt depend on whether amy or their mother thinks shes good. maybe this could also relate to ella's brief crush on dave, and how she feels betrayed by sky for being so excited when she was clearly upset about it when she thought they were friends, and she also realizes dave didnt fit the mold she wanted him to. i think sammy would comfort her after, and this shouldve been the start of ella accepting she cant spend her whole life in a fantasy or she wont make real connections. and later when they get together sammy might confess she worries about not being enough for ella, not being able to fit the princess life. but ella tells her that their relationship isnt a fantasy, its real. she wants to take it slow, and not put any expectations onto her. like, character growth. IDK sorry for the rant i just like them

Another say, another Madness is what youd tell yourself, and today was a somewhat special day, since it celebrated the day Madness came to Nevada

Well... It wasnt particularly celebration, as it sounds wrong to celebrate a day where many were killed ruthlessly, dont you think?

I guess... Think of it as a day everyone takes a day off, a holiday of sorts, where you all take a break from the constant bloodshed, even the AAHW would take a break from searching for Hank

That is if Hank or Tricky don't get bored enough to kill today. Which thankfully hasnt happened during this day in all the years Nevada has been the warzone it constantly is

It was also surprising because the Clown didnt bother killing anyone today either, nor did it pick a fight with Hank whenever they crossed ways, seems like it made a truce with Hank just for these days in specific

In fact, said Clown was currently sitting on your thorn couch, shaking wildly as always, you and the Four men you lived with standing in front of the clown as it looked up at you, eyes snapping between each as it waited for someone to say anything, bouncing its leg rapidly

You, Sanford and Deimos pretty much had the same stare of confusion, Deimos lit another cigarette with his thumb, taking a drag of it before blowing the smoke to the side. Hank glared at rhe clown, though you could feel the same amount of confusion in his glare

He had a truce with Tricky, and as much as he wanted to thow it out of his home, they promised each other that they wouldnt cause physical damage to each other as long as the other didnt inniate combat, the clown was a violent being but at least it stuck to its word, and Hank really didnt feel like being thrown around today, it was one o lf the rare days he could actually relax

Doc let out an aggravated sigh, rubbing his facial cross under his mask

"Clown, what are you doing here?" He questioned, arms crossed under his chest as the hand rubbing his face would limp to the side, palm up

"CLOWN WANTS TO SPEND MADNESS DAY WITH CLOWN'S FRIEND!!" it yelled, leaning forward slightly as happiness laced its glitchy voice

"we're- not your friends though--" Sanford spoke, though being rudely interrupted by the clown

"NOT YOU FOUR, DUMMY. [NAME]! THEY'RE CLOWN'S FRIEND!! :oD" it pointed at you, which made the others look at you in a small amount of shock, Hank glared at you even harder, you almost felt like he felt betrayed

"... Dont look at me like that, he's a cool guy to hang out with if hes not trying to kill people-" you crossed your arms and looked off to the side

they deadpanned at you, they knew you probably didnt mean to friend the clown, as they knew anyone who showed it kindness a few repeated times it immediately clinged to said person

You were a kind soul amongst many who had 'kill or be killed' engraved in their minds beyond repair, youd still be kind to someone even if they tried to kill you, albeit hesitant

Hank gave a disaproving look but didnt say anything, though it understood why the clown would think youre both friends, your kindness in this hard world could be quite addicting, specially for those who havent gotten a single drop of kindness or mercy for years, he'd know

"but did you have to invade our base? Couldnt you have called them outside or arranged a spot for you both to meet at?" Doc added, looking at Tricky once again, gesturing outside

"I MISSED THEM TOO MUCH, YOU ALL ALREADY SEE THEM EVERYDAY! I ONLY SEE THEM EVERY FEW DAYS, CLOWN COULDNT WAIT!! YOU CANT BLAME ME" it whined, getting up from the couch and immediately clinging to you in a hug in a blink of an eye, you flinched lightly, feeling the clowns arms wrap around you firmly, as well as its hand shakingly petting your head

You just accepted you're stuck now, Deimos groaned dramatically, throwing his head back

"cmoooon are you serious? You broke our door just because youre impatient??" He threw his arms to the side as he looked back at Tricky

Theres was a pause, Tricky staring at Deimos as it and you shook, you couldn't help shaking with it, after all it was holding you basically glued to it's body

".... YEAH" Deimos just looked at Tricky with a deadpan and Sanford facepalmed, shortly after, there was a little ahem coming from the door, you all switched your attention to the door

Jeb was standing there, a few bottles of soda under one of his arms "... Hofnarr said there was a party here?-"

"YEAH JEBBY, IT'S HERE! GIMME THOSE!" Tricky let go of you and zoomed to Jeb, taking the sodas from him "WHERE'S KITCHEN?" you just- pointed at the kitchen's door and Tricky ran passed you to it

Hank turned to the man in white "the clown told you there was a party here??"

"well, yes. And he wouldnt stop pestering me to go, so I gave in.. nothings decorated though-"

"yeah! Because there ISNT one! We didnt agree to have a party here-" Deimos kicked in, throwing his arms in the air

While the boys argued with one another, you and Doc went to the kitchen, where Tricky seemed to be looking all around, you spoke first

"Tricky, bud- did you tell people there would be a party here?-"

"YEA! TO CELEBRATE MADNESS!!"

"T-Tricky- this place isnt supposed to be known!-"

"how many did you invite?" Doc interrupted you, sternly asking, Tricky made a comic thinking pose, then counting on his fingers. You and Doc shared a look of tired dismay, you could hear Tricky mumble

"Coward, Jebby, Rat man, Gilly, Gunners... A LOT OF PEOPLE!!" It looked back at you both, smiling under its mask

Doc took a deep breath, getting more and more irritated by the second

"any.. one we should worry about?" You asked, almost pleading with your eyes that Tricky didnt invite any of your enemies here

"OH! I DID INVITE CHIMNEY SMOKE, ELECTRIC ELL, GOOP MAN, GEOMETRY BOI AND THE BITCHASS FIGURE HEAD!" it said, in the most innocent voice it could muster, you both looked at him wide eyed

"you WHAAAT?!?!" you both screamed in sync, catching the attention of the others, as they rushed over to see what was going on, you think you never heard Doc yell like this before, which even surprised you

Tricky reeled back, balancing himself in a cartoony defense, standing in one leg all shriveled up and covering his head with his hands

"ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN MIND???!" Doc yelled, getting in Tricky's face, Sanford stepped, holding back by the shoulders "calm down, Boss, what's going on??"

"ah- Tricky invited almost everyone in Nevada for this 'party' he's throwing here." you explained, "including Auditor, some other guys, and Phobos."

now it was time for the boys to get mad, Hank marched up to the clown, grabbing it by it's jacket's collar and lifting it up "HEY NO! REMEMBER OUR TRUCE FOR TODAY, NO VIOLENCE ALLOWED!!"

Hank glared at it, shaking it roughly, it wasn't really violence if it didn't injure, that's his thought process at least, Tricky made a rattling sound, like shaking a rock inside a metal can "Hofnarr, what in the world?? why would you invite them? you know we're against them!" Jeb butted in as Hank finally stopped shaking the clown

"ITS A PARTY! AND ITS OFF DAY, I THOUGHT IT'D BE UNFAIR TO LEAVE THEM OUT OF THE PARTY!"

"THERE'S NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE A PARTY HERE, WE DIDN'T AGREE TO THAT, AND NOW WE'LL HAVE TO MOVE. AGAIN." Deimos yelled, throwing his cigarette on the ground out of anger, stomping on it to put it out while grumbling, Sanford was also annoyed, a grimace on his face as they'll now have to deal with most people who hate them, hopefully they'll also have the mentality of 'no violence today' for this party

"good lord now we're going to have to deal with them, if Christoff's already here, who's to say they're not already halfway here?-" Doc rubbed his temples, annoyed "could we just, yknow- tell them there was a mistake and that there is no party?" Deimos suggested

"NAH-UH!! WE'RE HAVING THIS PARTY WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT!" Tricky yelled, Hank dropped the clown back on its feet, your buddies groaned and sighed

Doc began to give out orders, as their 'guests' could be here any minute, at least they'll have a plan "FINE- fine... but if we're going through with this let's at least make this a decent-looking party.. Tricky, since this was your idea, you get to decorate, but don't go overboard. Jebediah, since you don't live here, can you be in charge of getting snacks?-"

"I CALLED STEVE HERE, HE'S BRINGING HOT DOGS! AND GIL'S BRINGING BURGERS!!" the boys looked at Tricky with confused looks, you looked at them with a deadpan "Hotdog Vendor." you simply said, they let out an understanding sound, Tricky looked at them in disbelief "YOU REALLY DIDNT KNOW HIS NAME WAS STEVE?-" "no time for that, you can be upset about it later, Tricks. what else, Doc?"

"alright, still, Christoff, if you can cook anything, and if we have the ingredients, go for it." Jeb nodded, knowing he had no way out of this situation, he already went to the cabinets looking for ingredients and Tricky zoomed off to get decorations

"as for you four, start packing your things and leave them in the truck, Sanford, once you finish packing come help Christoff with the food, Hank help me load the things in, [Name] and Deimos greet the guest. k go go gO-"

And so, you all scrambled off, Doc rushing to the room he had the makeshift medbay in and you four rushing up to the 2nd floor of the building to your makeshift rooms, you had to room with Hank since there were only two rooms, and the duo refused to part. thankfully Hank wasn't that bad of a roommate, you just- woke up sometimes to him staring at you, either staring you down beside your mattress or from his own, it was a little odd but you didn't dare say anything about it, you also found out he sleeps with his mask, bandana, and goggles on, or maybe he just didn't want you seeing his face, which was completely valid

but it's not the time to think about that, you have to pack your things fast before people start coming in

god Tricky, what did you put us into

thankfully you all didn't have much going on in your rooms aside from most weapons, this wasn't the first time you had to move locations in a hurry, which was good because you were able to load the truck with your stuff pretty quickly, only the medbay was taking a bit longer

Sanford was currently in the kitchen helping Jeb with the last of the snacks they were able to quickly make, and meanwhile, you and Deimos moved the broken doors aside so they wouldn't just be on the ground as people came in, Tricky did a pretty good job on the decor too

black, red and grey balloons around the corners, some paper springs on the ceiling and a big banner on top of the kitchen's entrance saying 'HAPPY MADNESS DAY 2022!!!!!!' inrg red, as well as an identical one on top of the front door

you just wondered where tricky got more couches??? once you came downstairs there was an L-shaped couch around the one you already had, which was also turned to the L couch, as long with two solo ones, and a few metal chairs near the walls for the ones who didn't want to socialize on the couches, he also replaced the tv table with two dining tables lines on the wall for the food

Gil was the first to get there, with multiple bags of burgers on his green arms, Deimos immediately lighted up from his grumpy mood upon seeing the Zed G03LM, rushing over to him with a greeting and helping him carry the burgers inside, the zed slurred a 'thank you' as they went inside

you just finished setting up some towels to look more presentable on the tables as they came in, Sanford and Jeb also came out with the homemade snacks they managed to make and placed them on the table, you walked to stand near the door to greet the next guest went Hank and Doc rushed past you to get to the back of the house to load the last things from the medbay in the truck, almost knocking you over accidentally, Doc chocked a 'sorry' as they left view

you just chuckled, this was a mess huh? at least things were done in time before most of the guests came in, the Hotdog vendor was next, still in his usual apron as he brought his whole ass cart with him

you greeted the man with a smile, who returned the same, he liked you, aside from Tricky you're the only nice client he has, though he's pretty sure Tricky is only more behaved towards him to get hotdogs faster since Steve didn't bend for rude clients

"Hey Steve, glad you could make it!" you said with a wave "Sup, [Name]! good to see you too-.. what happened to your door?-" "Clown." you simply replied, gesturing to the broken doors to the side of the house

Steve chuckled "well isn't that convenient? then I don't have to take the cart inside, could you help me take the dogs inside and hide the cart under the doors?-" "I CAN HELP! I CAN HELP!" Tricky zoomed beside you jumping excitedly like a little kid, making your clothes swoosh a little with the speed he came with-

the hotdog man laughed at Tricky's excitement, accepting the help, the clown immediately rushed off to grab a big plate for the hotdogs, coming back just as quick as both of them began loading the plate

you looked behind them and saw the well-known cowboy coming your way, you began walking to meet him halfway, he tipped his head at you and smiled "howdy, [Name], real nice seein' ya, I ain't late, am I?"

you chuckled at his accent, it always amused you "good to see you too, Sher. no, you're actually pretty early, you can get going inside."

and bit by bit, more and more Guests came along, first came some familiar faces, Skinner, Dave, Q-bert, Bossman- all in the same ride, then came the Gunner Twins, Crackpot- hell even Garrett showed up,

everyone was already inside by now, chattering and laughter around the room as Tricky chatted with Garrett, Crackpot and Steve about Slaughter Time, Hank just stood in the corned talking to Doc and Skinner leaning on the wall as Deimos chatted with Gil, Sanford and the rest eating and chatting near the tables, this reminded you of the past when Madness wasn't a thing

when everyone wasn't constantly trying to kill each other, the so-called Madness Day was a breath of Fresh air honestly... though you were still missing a couple guests, so you were just standing against the front door waiting. Jeb came up beside you, crossing his arms over his chest

"taking a breather?" he asked, leaning on the wall beside you "ehh, that and waiting for Auditor and co." Jeb sighed aggrievedly "gods.. why did he invite them, they were constantly trying to kill us."

you chuckled, giving him a jab with your elbow "because it would be fair for them not to be invited on an off day, remember?" you recalled what Tricky said earlier, you got a small smile from the older man, he sighed

"... this is oddly peaceful.. it almost feels wrong..."

"I know, right? it's so weird not having to fight for your life against these guys..." you thew your head back, gently bonking the back of your head against the wall, hearing the laughs from inside flood your brain, they actually seem like they're having a good time

silence fell among you both, as you just waited for the last ones to come, feeling the breeze hit your face as you occasionally looked around the land, eventually, Jeb broke the silence

"... [Name], may I be honest with you?"

"sure, what's up, old man?" you joked, looking at him with a grin, he shot you a glare before softening again, looking out at the land and shaking his head with a small smile

"you know, since you came along, things have been a lot more interesting... not much different from a world standpoint but- since I met you, things have been.. different."

"Really?"

he nodded "you brought some light to darkness, it's clear the others like you, you're a pleasing presence, kind, calm and playful, I honestly hadn't seen the four ever really smile as much as they do around you- well, I can't tell for Hank, but I can for Deimos and Sanford, and hear a smile in Doc's voice when you talk to them."

you almost teared up, smiling at him over the sweet words "oh.. Jeb.. that's-"

"Fucking ridiculous." you yelped as you were suddenly picked up, and placed on a broad shoulder, looking down, you realized it was Phobos- now you're damn confused

"Phobos?! you fiend, put them down!" Jeb pulled out his sword, pointing up at Phobos "do not point my own sword at me, Jebediah, I was there when it was made." the Director pushed the sword to the side with his hand "and remember, no violence day, Christoff~" he grinned behind his bandages as Jeb glared at him, hesitantly putting away his sword

"thank you for your patience, by the way, I was quite busy." The Director looked up at you, satisfied that at least someone was decent enough to wait to greet him "ah-.. of course, Director, welcome... May you put me down?-"

Phobos nodded, putting you down and walking inside, you and Jebediah suddletly felt a chill down your spines, you looked in front of you, four cores in different colors decended from the sky, taking form shortly after

The first was Auditor in all his red flaming glory;

Then the blue core, who seemed to have a water like consistency, although you could see what looked like glitches around it and deep blue eyes, they looked tired; you had asked Jeb before about them when you were able to, you recalled this one was called Conductor

The next was the white core, they seemed to have a more geometric or blocky take to its form and white eyes, seemed the more neutral looking of them; you think this is Deliberator

And next was the pink core, who has a goopy like consistence, though while it formed it seemed to fog in your vision, sure they looked a lot more softer then what you initially saw, they had bright pink eyes, look smug and ready to cause chaos; this must be Stygian

Jeb sighed, looking annoyed at rhe four "so you finally decided to show up..."

"oh shut your trap, Christoff, we arrived right at the time the clown gave us... [Name]." Auditor greeted you with a nod, which you returned, he began to walk inside with his friends, the other three waved at you as they passed you and Christoff

You waved back as Christoff rubbed his face "this'll be a long gathering..." You groaned, you laughed softly, hearing Tricky begin to play some music

"tell me about it... Lets get inside before they break tradition and start killing each other over something dumb." You began heading inside, Jebediah couldnt help but smile a little at your remark with a puff from his nose, soon walking inside as well and deciding to join Tricky on the speakers, faintly hearing Phobos talk great shit about himself as always

He thought back on what you two were talking about earlier.... This feels normal.. even with all the interesting faces of those who won their concequences from their actions.. it still felt mostly normal again, no violence, no madness, no fights.. at least physical ones for today

He sighed, a small smile tugging at his lips, until Tricky walked to him

"HAPPY MADNESS DAY, JEBBY!" it exclaimed, handing the other a drink... It had its mask around its neck and back, a drink in its other hand... Was he wearing his old glasses...?

Christoff stared at his friend for a moment, before chuckling and smiling at the Clown

"Happy Madness Day... Hofnarr..."

so ur trolls posts got me to watch trolls world tour again. i remembered liking it but i couldnt remember why, but now i know for sure

i was NOT expecting a brilliantly written masterpiece about colonialism, but thats what i got, and its going in the greatest of all time hall of fame in my brain forever.

im not gonna sit here and regale you on the message of the movie. they only said fax, no printer, and its an important message to send kids. alot of the messages kids get about races and borders is “we are all the same 😚” but they came in with the “we are NOT the same and that is both good and bad, both exciting and dangerous so you need to be aware of dangerous ideas of “harmony”” and thats so real. kids need to understand differences are OK.

i love how they backed off the “chosen one” vibe poppy had in the first movie and talked about her flaws as a leader. while her stubborness was a good thing in the first movie to contrast branches pessimistic nature, it wouldnt have worked here, and i can see a cheap writer (like m*chael w*ldron) either insisting she gets away with her selfishness and carrying on with the happy ending anyway, or pretending that wasnt a character trait at all (because w*ldron doesnt watch the first movie and writes a sequel anyway)

my favorite scene is the bubble scene and the woods right after they leave funk where branch confronts poppy. do i even need to tell you why?

i just want to mention it because im pretty sure branch sings a cover of “girl crush” by little big town, which is a country band, and branch said he likes country music earlier and that slays. but when poppy comes in, what they sing is definitley not girl crush, and i cant tell if its giving “trolls can mix music” or im completley wrong and its a different song alltogether. but i cant tell if that song is homophobic or is super gay, so if im wrong thats prob for the best.

the only flaw i can think of is the country music, as a midwestern i can confidently say that was an affront to real blue grass country music. i guess born to die “works” but it didnt represent country as well as the other genres did. theres alot of controversy in the country music fandom with alot of singers who sound exactly the same and produced like its a factory line. but even if people still think miranda lambert and carrie underwood arent true country singers, their songs wouldve worked better than born to die. also the country trolls shouldve been on a self sufficient farm instead of the wild west. that wild western jazzy piano and country music isnt the same.

the only bad part about the movie is that it ended and barb ATE. SHE LEFT NO CRUMBS WITH THAT INTRO. send ask.

Lol I love your review. I love Trolls World Tour a lot too and all their other movies. Great stuff.

And yeah I love Poppy and how she can accomplish A LOT but she doesn't make it on her own, she needs character development and help from others just like everyone else. Characters are surprisingly realistic.

Barb really was goat, the best antagonist in the franchise. I love parallels between her and Poppy, how both had different intentions (Poppy wanted to help and Barb wanted to conquer) but Poppy's method was also wrong and both Poppy and Barb and everyone had to make compromises for all tribes to live in harmony because no one has to change their lifestyle for that to happen, all they have to do is accept that they're different and that's perfect. Just be yourself and let others be themselves.

That song in the end (Just Sing) slaps hard (and so does Can't Stop The Feeling btw).

Go tired of seeing "old hedgehog" designs of sonic and shadow with them just having greyed out quills and decided to do something about it

So yeah qpr sonadow (yeah shadow is 50+ fucking finally. Im considering giving him a cane. An asthetic or an actual one idk. Maybe both?)

Sonic grew his quills out (wanted a kind of longhair rockstar kinda hair thing idk if i achiebed i though. Also still unsure on what he'd wear so i just slapped on his sa2 beach costume and added sandals (and possibly socks).

(Oh and there a scar from the Mephiles blast on his stomach- as well as top surgery scars because of course he had top surgery its sonic)

(Oh and also the "old lady swagger" sonic is just him crossdessing/going lady mode because he always rocks the look )

Shadow styled/shortend his quills and i put him in a nice black collared sweater. He wears glasses because my guy has eye problems

(Btw. Im horrible at telling ppls ages so if they dont feel old then idk what to tell you guys i have no idea what aging is at this point)

Then, instead of simply making old yaoi i ended up getting obbessed (and happy) and started making everyone old

So next up was amy and Blaze. (Silver is here too)

I think theyre a little bit on the younger side of the old yaoi? I did consider the fact that some people age differently (some look older whilst others look younger) so Amy and Silver got the more "youthful-ish" complexion whilst Blaze and Espio got the more older one.

Thoughhh im still working on their design. I can always make older old lady Amy (now that i think about it i should 100% make Amy a granny looking buff woman because i feel like thats beautiful)

Either way amy and Blaze kept their uh.. "hair" short. Amy still wears supergirly clothes and Blaze wears more masculine type clothes nothing else.

Next is espilver

You cant sue me for making Silver a short king menace to society.

Not really much on design so far other than Silver is way more plump (pearshaped) now because life got better, and Espio is taller because what is he if not a tree?

Ask them how they met? It was at bowling. Why bowling? Its because thats less weird then "was investigating the multiple crimes husbando commited and ended up getting said yet-to-be husbando arrested, but after he got out we totally fucked"

Oh, and because i couldnt choose, Espio is trans AND intersex! Yeah!

Also Amy is silvers ex (Silver has like.. 2 exes... Possibly more?)

And then theres everyone else who arent a "ship" persay:

So i call this the moreso young adult group with Tails, Charmy, Ray and Cream.

Tails (in college) and Charmy (not in college) obviously hang out and play videogames.

Cream, because when she was little she didnt get invited to fight deadlt monsters, grew up, and decided shes going to fight deadlt monsters. So i tried to make her a cool suit but idk.. it needs reworking cause the whole "secret agent" vibe works! But not the way i like.

Rouge is forever foxynand will continue to be the most attractive woman on planet earth no matter what age. Shes also still a meance to socitey and we will forever love the jewel thief (old) woman.

Knuckles doesnt cut his quills so those shits are LONG hes also old as well but idk what he'd wear

And yes Metal (also Chaos) is here too. Metal is a bit rusty (literally) but overall well kept and fancy. I think eggman would be dead by now, so i gave it a crown on its ears to symbolize how it took over i guess.

OKAY SHIPKIDS:

Blaze x Amy ( bio kid): Flare (was thinking "Spark" because of the love idea but idk yet)

Espio x Silver (bio-kid): Greybell

And then heres the fun part:

So Sonic and Shadow dont function like the others here, in that- while saving the world and whatnot, every so often they'd either find a kid following them (similarly to Amy and Tails back in the days) or save a kid during their whole adventure.

The first time this happened was just Luca (a black jaguar) who followed Sonic during one his little solo adventures and Sonic was like "do you have parents i can take u back too" and she was like "nah" so of course, after seriously looking for her parents through ppl with database accesses like tails and rouge, he was like "u wanna stay with me?" And Luca was like "YEAH!"

And then Sonic called Shadow like "Shadow do u want kids" and which he replied "what?" And then suddenly they adopted Luca. This is how it began.

Eventually, as one grew up, theyd find another, and then another and then well now they have like 11 kids in total.

Now, after ALL of this, they took a break and after that years worth of a break were like "wanna make a kid? Like for the challenge of having to that from scratch"

And sonic was like "what?"

So they hit up the labs and made a bio kid who is 2 months old and is the most hectic fucking thing theyve ever had to deal with so thanks for the prior 10 experinces (alas they do not compare to the mega menace)

how they deal with an S/O who goes silent when overwhelmed

including : steveo , danger ehren , bam margera , and ryan dunn

warnings : afab! , swearing

steve o :

- 100% does not understand why youve gone quiet

- thinks your giving him the silent treatment

- "did i do something wrong ?!?!"

- but you just shake your head with a smile and he spirals into even more confusion

- wont let you out of his sight until you start talking again

- aggressively overprotective of you when your in a silent mood

- doesn't let anyone talk to you because if you wont talk to him you can't talk to anybody

- butters you up with affection thinking that would fix you but honestly the constant touching kind of makes the overwhelming feeling worst

- but at the same time it makes it better because you know he's there for you and waiting for you to feel better

- if all you want is space you better be prepared to hide because this little worried love bug isn't going to leave you alone until you tell him what's wrong

bam :

- honestly annoyed by your silence

- and hes very vocal about it

- so try to distance yourself from this man when you go mute

- but he'd ask if your okay first

- and after you nod your head he'd start complaining about how silent youve gotten

- and if you dont talk for a while he'd slowly get bored of complaining

- then he'd ask if you were okay again, not quite believing you

- but you just nod your head again because you knew you wouldnt be able to find your voice to explain anything

- at this point hed stare at you like you lost your mind when his head goes to the worst situations

- "are you pregnant?!" he asked while shaking you visiously

- that got a little giggle out of you but you shook your head

- from then on he'd start trying to guess whats wrong because he noticed how youd only laugh and not talk

- but those little noises were enough to appease him for now

ehren :

- thinks you dont feel good

- "is everything okay? are you feeling alright?" with geniune concern

- honestly so worried

- will spend hours pampering you the best way he could possibly think of, still believing you dont feel well

- forces you to lay in bed or on the couch with thousands of blankets and pillows and stuffies

- turns on cartoons and cheesy romance movies for you

- which is honestly the best for when your in this type of mood in my opinion

- and his constant checking of your temperature by putting the back of his hand to your forehead or by using his lips is almost heart melting

- he'll make you either tomato soup or chicken noodle soup thats been sitting in your cabinet for years

- but he says canned food never goes old

- so you trust him and eat it all, wanting to ask for some grilled cheese too but you couldnt find your voice sadly

- by the end of the day your feeling better but still not talking, and ehren noticed that

- he'll end up just cuddling with you on the couch for the rest of the night watching the cartoons and romanve movies he put on

ryan :

- asks if your okay, but when you dont respond he'll give you some space

- by space i mean him not talking to you but still hanging around you

- he'd distract the people that tried to talk to you so theyd leave you alone

- his general presence is nice and his gestures are even nicer, even if you didnt understand what he was doing at first

- will bring you little gifts like sweets or lemonade

- if your in public he'd direct you to a more unpopulated area and sit down with you

- if your at home he'd have you lay down in bed and maybe read to you or turn the tv on while he lays with you

- "my mom used to read to me when i wasn't in a good mood and that always helped" hed inform you while holding up to different picture books for you to choose from

- it was kind of odd at first but it was a sweet gesture that kind of made things calm down

- he is completely willing to baby you for the time being even if you dont want to be babied

- mama ryan knows best

im thinking abt osomatsu

he’s almost nobody’s favorite character right off the bat, and then everyone who has him as their favorite is SUUUPER heavily introspective about the show because even though he’s the title character he’s probably the hardest to distinguish from the rest when you’re new to the show. He’s the main guy. he’s the default model and all the others are variations. he doesn’t really have a gimmick or a trope to his personality besides maybe gambling and being a jerk.

BUT its kinda perfect because he Defines the show. he’s the entire reason the rest of the brothers are the way they are. he’s the leader and they all know it and they can’t escape him. and its KINDA SAD.

OF course they never dwell or focus on any of the incredibly well built up character traits they establish in this show, i could go on forever about that. But for once I really feel like the majority fandom interpretation of Oso isn’t really reaching at all. He holds onto his childish persona and absolutely refuses to grow from it, because that’s what he’s comfortable with. He has a low image of himself, but doesn’t show it or introspect like Ichi does. I’d argue having a shaky sense of identity is kinda the basis of every matsu’s character flaws, but that’s the most true for this guy. He didn’t have to worry about that stuff as a kid. He was the only one with a personality and the rest just followed along. He didnt HAVE to be anything more than that. If he resented being seen as one of six, he didnt realize it until he grew up, and only now does he realize how much it messed him up. And instead of trying to work on it, he’s just desperately trying to maintain the status quo as long as he can. No matter how much the other brothers try to change themselves and become their own people, in either a jokey or serious way, Oso ALWAYS drags them back down to his level again. Even if it hurts them.

HE HAS GROWN FROM THIS OF COURSE. Very very slowly over the course of the 3 seasons and the movie you can tell he’s a little more willing to try new things and become a little more mature. I mean he couldnt get much worse than ep 24, actually physically hurting the youngest brothers and completely emotionally shutting down when Choro left. But he still kinda does this in less obvious ways in later eps.

I really loved the analysis they did with him in the episode where he goes on a date with Nyaa Chan. He was joking like “haha im gonna score with her lol” but then she actually asks him out for real and he’s SO TERRIFIED. and it’s hilarious and adorable he’s just hiding under the couch and they have to drag him out kicking and screaming for an hour. He’s so afraid of change. He doesn’t trust himself enough to be a “real adult” and do all the things he’s supposed to do. That’s why he tries to lower everyone’s expectations of him, but when THAT doesn’t work he has no idea what to do.

While the other’s dilemmas are that they HAD no identity until they became adults, and are desperately trying to compensate by roping themselves into tropes that they don’t even really fit, Oso is the only one who’s stuck with the same role he’s always had, and it doesn’t fit anymore. It’s because he’s grown up now, and because the others dont need him to define the group anymore, and being the big brother doesn’t really matter anymore. so who IS he?

i didn’t have a point or conclusion to this i just think he’s a very developed and interesting take on a grown up version of a very simply written classic cartoon character and the show gives juuuust enough hints at this for me to be satisfied but i want MORE and i want this for all of the characters cuz im in too deep. thank you for attending my ted talk. next I’ll discuss the “jyushimatsu and concepts” skit and how that boy’s secretly the smartest out of all of them ok bye

*edit: i forgot i didnt even mention Tougou. I mean he’s not canon to the new show so it doesn’t matter but HONESTLY if he was i wouldn’t even be surprised. With all of Oso’s surprisingly intense baggage, him having some kinda childhood trauma would make a LOT of sense. I feel like there's no good place for me to add to the Fiction First discussion:

Im not 100% sure how my group reached this idea. We started back in like 2011 on 4e from the Red Box they did for it. Our understanding of the gameplay was you roll for everything that wasn't basic body functions, more or less. I don't think the books necessarily say to do it this way, but that felt like what we were suppsoed to do to play D&D.

I can't find my red box books, but the 4e players handbook i still have (full of notes and post its and such) says "Decide what you want you're character to do and tell the DM. The DM tells you to make a check and figure out your chance of success."

I think that's the part that we leaned on. As DM, I decided what success looked like and what it required. And to the players, that felt like they didnt have as much say in the story. That's why when i first read Monster of the Week i was blown away. The success parameters, or potential outcomes of the action, were already decided! I couldnt just arbitrarily say "thats impossible, so dont even try to roll for it" about something (17 year olds have strong opinions about a fantasy world).

But here's the the thing. We we're still doing the fiction. After two sessions of making plans and trying to follow D&D to the tee, i gave up on that. My player killed an important NPC immediately, and i didnt have the guts or anything to like have real consequences. Our game, which lasted like 30+ sessions probably, just turned onto a group of us goofing off and improvising a story while also using skills and rolling d20. We just naturally starting doing fiction first, and I've never really thought about that til this moment if im being honest.

D&D just has always felt like this game where your playing in the DM's story, which maybe speaks more to how i learned to DM than anything else (which was just by playing and reading tumblr posts in the year of our lord 2011). Nothing ever made me think of roleplaying as fiction first until i started branching out into other TTRPGS. And now your post made me reevaluate my thoughts on playing 4e as a teenager.

I think what's interesting here is that while I do see myself in a lot of this (although I started out with D&D 3e after first playing Rolemaster a bit, we still hadn't developed a good idea of how these games are best played) what stands out here is the idea that D&D is the GM's story, which does seem like the default way to run D&D these days, even though it's not the only way! I'm always a bit leery about claims made by people in the old-school scene that a totally emergent sandbox was basically the true way to play in those early days of the hobby (I think that while some groups may indeed have played the game like that, there were also an equal number of heavily authored campaigns where the DM simply presented their players with the dungeon of the week, week after week), but I do think it's good that people have been rediscovering older editions of D&D which are full of potential for emergent narratives as well as being introduced to games that encourage those emergent narratives.

Because, again, I don't think what's at play is D&D being any less "fiction first" (although I do agree that PHB 4e kind of leading with the idea that the player describes an action and the GM always demands a check isn't great) than MotW, but that the latter was more supportive of the type of play you wanted, where the focus is on an emergent narrative shared among the whole table instead of a GM-authored story.

But that's the thing, at least for me: that emergent narrative isn't in any way at odds with D&D (although the process of finding that shared narrative does look different in D&D) and certain editions of D&D are full of tools for creating emergent narratives.

And yeah, this is as good a time as any to clarify my intentions: my intention is not to pass judgement on either D&D or the various games that have been touted as "fiction-first." I know what I've written could be easily read as "these stupid indie games are actually no different from D&D" (that's simply not true, they are very different in their mechanics and approaches, but the way they sometimes get presented is like they're almost an alien language), but it's more to assuage D&D-players' fears that outside of their weirdly idiosyncratic dragon game lies a wasteland of games that are completely incomprehensible to the dragon gamer.

Anyway why did I write all that. Oh well.

Okay, so remember that concept with allura having amnesia? Ive been thinking about that. a lot. and how it related to kuron specifically-

Beacuse there are PARALELLS here. They both have to deal with a legacy left by a past version of them and they both irreversibly change as people. Kuron resents Shiro and what he represents, and allura struggles with living up to the mysticisied and glorified hero everyone tells her shes supposed to be. and its like- if they talked about it like NORMAL PEOPLE, if Kuron had ANY emotional intelligence left, they would see that they have a lot in common actually!!

BUT. at the same time. I dont think its really possible for them to do that, at least right now, beacuse a huge fuckin part of kurons trauma was caused by allura fucking KILLING HIM, and hes understandably pissed about it. and i think that allura not remembering anything would only make him even more upset, bc everyone besides him mourned and idolisied her, and constantly hearing how great and noble the person who killed you was must suck ass, and then she COMES BACK, and maybe Kuron wants to yell at her and make her feel guilty for what she did and he wants to look her in the face and tell her exactly what he thinks about her- but he CANT. beacuse she killed him, took his body from him, and she DOESNT REMEMBER.

i dont really know where i'm going with this, but. yeah. this whole situation propably sucks ass for both of them(maybe theyll never reconsile. Maybe they wont end up as friends. And that's okay!! its cool to think about tho)

So much of post s8 au is people who could have understood one another but dont because of the trauma everyone has, and Allura and Kuron are prime examples of it.

Kuron is not happy with her at all and all this 'hero worship' around her just further exacerbates it cause she used his body to bring back Shiro. Didnt even care that they were friends, didnt even care that he was a person, didnt even care that he may have been still alive, just used his body to bring Shiro back. And he hates her for it and hates people treating her like a hero and would have let her know that she's the worst but what is the point of that? She isnt here is she? She's dead and gone and they couldnt even bring back a body to bury because nothing of her left. So really what is the point of hating a dead woman? He avoids anything and every thing to do with her, and just tries very hard not to think about her, no bad vibes here sir we are just chillin hahahaha 😎😎😎😎😎

.......and then she comes back! And oh boy. Kuron is not having a good time at all. He is still very much avoiding her. If she's in the room, he's leaving the room and if he cant than being extremely snide and just glaring at her. Like he truly does want to explode on her and many times came close as well, but than he just walks out and screams in a pillow.

Allura has no fucking clue what to do with him. She doesnt even know him, doesnt know what his problem is, and thinks he's annoying. Really annoying and rude and she knows when she isnt wanted. Like she has met some genuinely terrible people on her journey throughout multiverse and Kuron is definately much better than them but also?? He's a fucking cunt. Everyone else is on the edge around him but no one wants to talk about it. And fine! Whatever! It's not like she's curious about what the fuck is up with this guy, or why he's the only one who doesnt look at her and is either about to cry or look at her like she personally put stars in the sky. She has too many problems and doesnt have the time for some dude's hostility.

But like once she knows about the whole mind replacing thing? Either because she was told or because she remembered bits and pieces. She's going to feel so guilty about it! Like crushing guilt. She'll try to make it up to him but given that he doesnt want to talk to her and even if he did she is convinced he probably hates her and doesnt want to see hom so she just. Going down the guilt spiral. Along with everything else

And yeah I think Kuron can never forgive Allura just like how he can never forgive Shiro. But i also think they'll come to an understanding and realize that they are similar and learn how to live with their pasts without it consuming them.
